Kurama's lightened up a bit on Naruto's "punishment." It's been a few weeks and already the boy is turning into an actual insomniac (except during class, of course) so Kurama figured he can just summarize the lectures and get back to the actually interesting stuff. Most of the Academy stuff isn't all that useful anyway.
Plus, Kurama can't hold back Naruto for long. Kurama will only accept the best. Imagine how mortifying it would be to have a pathetic Jinchuuriki!
So Kurama's been teaching Naruto more chakra theory and control. He got wall and water walking out of the way, because they're incredibly useful and great for causing chaos (they've already managed to convince at least three people that their shops are haunted), and a few more things like how to work well with his fox summons. It helps that the foxes absolutely love Naruto because of his pranking antics. Still, it was probably time to focus on something else.

Naruto was showing off his really cool Transformation Jutsu to Sasuke. Sasuke was very interested in learning it, but Naruto wasn't a very good teacher. They spent an hour or two trying to figure it out, but eventually they took a break to work on other things. Naruto was still trying to get better with his kunai, after all!
Of course, Naruto lost all interest in his kunai when he noticed Sasuke spitting fireballs. He proceeded to spend the rest of the day hounding Sasuke to teach him how to make a fireball. Sasuke finally got him to quit by shoving him in a dumpster and running away.

Kurama supposed nature manipulation was as good as anything. The Academy won't teach him that anyway.
"Fire's certainly a good element. It is my primary affinity, after all. But we both have a rather strong wind affinity, so that's where you should start. If you remember the breathing exercise, you've already got a decent grasp on the basics. You'll notice that the Uchiha spend quite a bit of time with incense and candles. That's not a coincidence. If you want to become proficient with an element, you should spend time with that element. Find a high up place and just feel the wind. Focus on your breath and how it fades into the wind. Try to fill your breath with your chakra, then try to fill the wind with your chakra through your breath. Pay attention to how the wind moves and how your chakra moves with it."

Sasuke didn't know that Naruto was capable of sitting still for this long. Is this a sign to run and hide or something?
Sasuke bit the bullet and asked Naruto what he was doing. Apparently it was a nature manipulation exercise? It did kind of make sense. If Naruto was a wind type, then paying attention to air currents and trying to fill them with his chakra might be a good starting point. Sasuke wasn't really an expert on wind chakra though. He supposed he'd just try to make sense of that transformation technique Naruto was talking about yesterday and see if Naruto could give him some pointers here and there.
