-Hinata-
.
Hinata was rather nervous. Well, she was usually nervous, but she was particularly nervous today. In fact, she'd been worrying for a while. Naruto-kun's actually been showing up to class just to give her a worried side-eye for the last week!
Huh. Maybe that's a strategy Hinata can take advantage of later. But right now, she figures it's as good a time as any to try to talk to Naruto. After all, Fuzzy usually has good advice and right now she really needs any advice she can get. And Naruto-kun is always happy to share advice, even if Fuzzy's feeling too grumpy to do anything but nap. Actually, how does that work? Didn't Naruto say Fuzzy was a dream or something like that? Um, maybe she'll ask about that next time. Right now, Naruto-kun's looking even more worried because Hinata's been staring into space for the last five minutes and she should probably talk now but it's kind of embarrassing but...
Hinata clamps down on that mental tirade and spits it out as fast as she can.
"HOW DO I BE A GOOD OLDER SISTER?"
Naruto blinked.
"Huh?"
Hinata blushed furiously and wrung her hands out in an attempt to calm her nerves. It didn't work, but Naruto has a way of just looking so warm and patient that always seems to calm her down...
"U-um, Mother's been pregnant for a few months, and I've been worried about how to be a good older sister... I thought maybe you'd have some advice?"
Naruto stared for a second, like he was in some sort of mental rant, or maybe just processing it and going on a tangent?
"Ah, I guess it kind of depends on your sibling? Like, try to get to know them and what they like and then just try to do that? Or, um... no, scratch that... um... "
Naruto fidgeted for a minute, then his eyes lit up and he snapped his fingers.
"Oh! If you're ever struggling or anything, I can spy on the kid!"
Hinata's eyes widened in alarm.
"N-Naruto-kun! That's an invasion of privacy, isn't it? And it's probably not healthy for a child, either!"
Naruto shrugged.
"We're training to be ninja, aren't we? Being nosy is kind of our thing. Privacy is overrated, anyway. Get 'em used to being sneaky early. Besides, it's not like they actually have to know about it. That's kinda the point of spying, you know? I don't even have to be listening in that much, I just pay attention with my cool emotion power thing and you can know exactly how they're feeling and you can probably guess based on time and stuff what kind of things they like. No harm!"
Hinata shrunk a bit nervously.
"Fuzzy said that?"
Naruto grinned.
"Yep!"
"W-well, I guess Fuzzy's never steered us wrong before... "
"Exactly! You're gonna be a great older sister, Hinata-chan! OH! Maybe I can even be like an older brother! You feel like having joint custody, Hinata-chan?"
.
-Kurama-
.
Why the heck does the little pipsqueak think that Kurama could give good sibling advice? Sure, he's got siblings, but from what little he knows about humanity his big-sibling strategies definitely aren't a good idea here. His go-to when dealing with his little brother Shukaku is just to breathe fire on him until he turns to glass as soon as he gets annoying, and then lord it over for him for the next three centuries. Putting aside the fact that Hinata wouldn't even be able to revel in her victory for a full century, much less three (a reminder of how pathetic and pointlessly short the human lifespan is), burning the kid to a crisp is decidedly not the right way to deal with a human baby. Honestly, what does she think Kurama even is? It's like she doesn't even know...
Wait a second.
That stupid law is still in place, isn't it? The one that says that no one can talk about Naruto being a Jinchuuriki, despite the fact that absolutely everyone knows and no one bothers to hide it? Do his friends actually not know that Kurama's the Kyuubi?
Dammit. They think he's a dream or something stupid, don't they? That means they're crediting all his genius to the little brat! How dare he steal the credit for Kurama's genius! He'll torture his dreams for weeks for this insult!
...
Actually, maybe it's best they think Naruto's the source of their advice. At least if the new kid ends up mentally scarred, as humans so often do, Kurama won't have to take the blame.
.
-Hiashi-
.
Hiashi is terrified, although not for the usual reasons (cough cough, blond menace). His wife has just given birth, and it is customary for a father to panic with each new child, while simultaneously feeling total elation for the tiny new life in his arms. What a joyous day! This child, little Hanabi, will surely grow into a wonderful woman. Hiashi and Hitomi are both thrilled to be able to watch it happen, and to be part of her life!
Of course, it would be selfish to keep this tiny wonder all to himself. Hiashi is beside himself with excitement to introduce Hinata to her new little sister. He's certain that she'll make a wonderful elder sister!
(it'll be nice to have her help taking care of the baby, too.)
Hiashi goes outside to take a breather. Hinata and Hanabi are completely safe with the caretakers in the room, so Hiashi takes his time to relax and just soak in the happiness.
"Hey! Hiashi-san! How's the new baby?"
Hiashi froze. No, not now. Give him some peace!
Naruto tilted his head curiously.
"Are you tired, Hiashi jii-san? Oh, I bet! New babies are probably really exhausting, huh? But you're probably gonna be more tired in a week or two! Poor Hinata-chan's probably gonna run herself ragged! Oh! What's the new kid's name? Is it a boy or a girl? Has Hinata-chan gotten to hold them yet? When will I get to meet them? Are they cute? How little are they? I've never seen a baby up close before! Usually the parents try to run or chase me away."
Too much! Naruto's reaching for the door! No! Wait! Hiashi has to protect his innocent little child, before Naruto starts to corrupt her too! How to distract the menace?!
"HER NAME'S HANABI!"
Naruto looks over curiously. Shoot. This is just going to make him more curious, isn't it? Oh well. Sacrifices must be made. Hopefully Hiashi can keep Naruto busy long enough for the caretakers to escape with his daughters...
"Yes, she's cute. And, um, a girl. Hinata's holding her now... "
Naruto brightened.
"Hinata-chan's holding her? Oh! She was kinda worried about being a good older sister. I bet she's holding her little sister really well! She's probably gonna be little Hanabi-chan's favorite! Oh, but we agreed I could be second-favorite. 'Cause I'm definitely gonna be a great older brother!"
"OLDER BROTHER?!"
And thus, Naruto had to panic and drag Hiashi off to the ER after he passed out from shock. Not how he wanted to end the day Hanabi was brought into this world, but at least the caretakers got Hanabi down for a nap before Naruto could get back and begin corrupting her. Hopefully they could protect Hanabi for as long as possible, but Naruto has a way of being... persuasive.

A/N - So, Hanabi's seven in part one and Hinata's about twelve... which means I totally messed up this timeline since Hinata's supposed to be about seven right now. Oops. Just... ignore that please
