The vessel, full of low ranks and trainees, sailed right up to the Blackmail pirates. Their ships are fast, and require no sail nor current. The highest ranked marine, a captain, hailed the pirates with a megasponder snail, which just made him louder. Two fellow marines, both new yet clearly experienced, stood on either side of him; a blue haired and feathered harpy boy around the age of 17, and a pink haired brown furred mink bunny girl of about 16. "Pirates! Return the princess of Cleoma before we send you to the deep!" The harpy looked annoyed. "That'd kill the princess you idiot." The captain stuttered. "A-after you give her to us!" The bunny facepalmed. "Why do you outrank us? Petrian, I say just go get her yourself." He nodded, and while the captain tried to say something, Petrian just said "Agreed" and one mighty flap of his wings flung him from the vessel towards the ship.
"Marines! Everyone, battle stations!" The Blackmail pirates all came up for the battle, loading and aiming the cannons, before some blue bird thing just completely tackled them into the sea. He looked around. "Princess. Now." He blitzed towards the pirates, easily kicking each one either into a wall or off the ship. Minx, hearing the call, stood up. "Well miss Harmony, I must go!" He ran his way out, and left the princess alone. Or so she thought... "Princess... You're gonna help that mink out huh?" The Spaniard from before came out from behind a corner. "Interesting."
Minx reached the deck, daggers at the ready. He immediately identified the intruder, the bright blue made it obvious he's never seen him. Considering everyone here is forced to be, the crew barely know each other. But a blue winged man would be hard to forget, and he dashed in, swinging the blades at the marine. Petrian skipped to the left, swiftly dodging the attack, and countered with a kick that sent Minx into the back wall, nearly breaking through it. He let out a gasp, but quickly recovered his breath. His hands started to spark with electricity, which didn't faze the marine. But then, Minx slapped the two dagger tips together. "Dagger Shot!" A quick zap of electricity shot towards Petrian, who just barely avoided it. A cloud behind them took the bolt and it created a hole straight through it. Petrian kept his composure, but Minx saw through it. "What's the matter? You look worried~" He stopped. 'Wait, why do I care? I could just let this guy take out Blackmail and I'd-'
His thoughts are interrupted by the sudden movement of Petrian, who was swinging his wing down from overhead. "Feathermace!" Minx swung up with both blades, expecting to just cut through, but instead they clashed. His wing was like steel, and their grinding even created hot sparks. Suddenly, they are stopped by the jolt of the ship getting thrown off by a giant pillar of wax shooting through the ship and pushing it off the seabed. The impact flung the ship towards a nearby patch of land known locally as Bug Island.
