I promised that I was not lost and gone forever and that I would be back again someday. Remember the last chapter had Ron use Crucio on Harry. We pick it up from there.
As Flitwick, Sprout, and McGonagall escorted Ron out of the Great Hall, Harry, Neville, Hermione, Ginny, and Luna all saw Susan Bones pull out a piece of parchment and a quill at the Hufflepuff table. They could see Susan write the letter and send it away with a school barn owl.
A few minutes and a few nanoseconds later, Ameila Bones, Head of the Department of Magical Law Enforcement appeared carrying Susan's letter.
Approaching Susan at the Hufflepuff table, Ameila said, "Susan, thank you for bringing this issue to my attention."
"Flitwick, Sprout, and McGonagall have escorted Ron out of the Great Hall already, as I explained in my letter," said Susan matter of factly, "But I knew you would want to know that a Hogwarts student had used an Unforgivable Curse on a minor."
"You did the right thing, Susan," Ameila assured her niece, "And while Mr. Weasley may be a minor himself, he's not above the law. I will need to talk to Mr. Potter first."
Next nanosecond, Ameila approached the Gryffindor table and said, "Mr. Potter, I'll let you read the letter Susan wrote to me."
Ameila handed the letter to Harry, who read:
Dear Aunt Ameila:
I have some urgent news for you and it's not good. At breakfast this morning, Ron Weasley, who abandoned Harry Potter after Harry's name came out of the Goblet of Fire approached Harry. Ron has tried a few times to get Harry to forgive him. To Harry's credit, he has had the backbone and maturity to not do so. Today, Ron tried being patronizing and Harry wasn't having it, reminding Ron of his status as a disloyal fair weather friend. Enraged, Ron performed the Cruciatus Curse on Harry. Flitwick, Sprout, and McGonagall immediately called Ron out on this behavior and discussed whether Ron should be allowed to remain at Hogwarts and whether legal action should be taken. Dumbledore, in typical dumbles fashion, pleaded with Harry to forgive Ron. However, as the use of an Unforgivable Curse is serious business that comes with serious legal consequences, I felt you should be informed of this incident as soon as possible. I know this isn't the type of letter you want to receive from your niece, but, well, you need to know about this.
Sincerely.
Your loyal and loving niece.
-Susan.
"Mr. Potter," requested Ameila, "Would you be willing to follow me to the Room of Requirement?"
"I don't know where the Room of Requirement is," replied Harry honestly, "I've never even heard of it."
"The Room of Requirement only appears when a person has real need for it and is always equipped to meet the seeker's needs," began Hermione, "It's explained pretty clearly in Hogwarts, A History," began Hermione.
"It will be my job to ask the room for what we need today," said Ameila clearly, "Mr. Potter, you just need to follow me."
Harry got up and followed Ameila. Before he knew what had happened, Harry saw a door that Ameila opened and held open for him before following him inside herself.
Once they were both inside the room, Ameila shut the door behind her, and they both heard a distinct locking sound.
There was a pensieve in the room and Ameila pointed to it and explained, "Mr. Potter, a pensieve will show a true memory of something that happened."
Ameila then picked a vial up off of a table and said, "Mr. Potter, I need to extract a memory from you of when Mr. Weasley put the Cruciatus Curse on you this morning. Please focus as hard as you can on that memory."
Harry did as he was told, and Ameila retrieved her wand from her right hand picket with her right hand while holding the vial in her left hand.
Ameila pointed her wand at Harry and extracted the memory.'
"Mr. Potter," instructed Ameila, "Please step inside the pensieve with me."
"Okay, Madam Bones," nodded Harry as he walked into the pensieve trailed by Ameila.
Ameila swirled the contents of the vial around and she and Harry watched:
"Harry, mate," said Ron in a patronizing voice, "You are the best champion and-'
"Fuck off, Ronald, " spat Harry bitterly, "Our friendship is over. You proved to be a disloyal fair weather friend who didn't deserve my friendship by not standing by me 1000% after my name came out of the Goblet of Fire. There's a better chance of freezing to death in the core of the sun that of me ever being friends with the MoRon again. You're just trying to suck up to me now and I'm not taking it. Abandoners don't deserve mulligans."
"Truer words have never been spoken," agreed Ginny, "Abandoners don't deserve mulligans."
Enraged, Ron pulled his wand out of his right hand pocket with his right hand and pointed it directly at Harry.
"Crucio!" cried Ron.
Next nanosecond, Harry felt intense extreme pain as he had never felt before engulfing his body. It was like being stabbed by a thousand sharp knives at once while standing in the Antarctic cold.
Harry, however, determined not to give Ron any satisfaction, gave no outward response and pretended as though he hadn't noticed anything.
Wow, Mr. Potter," said an impressed sounding Ameila, "How did you remain so calm?"
"I was hellbent on not letting the fifty sticking turncoat get any satisfaction out of seeing me hurt," declared Harry proudly.
"Mr. Potter," said Ameila calmly, "Mr. Weasley will be arrested. Given Mr. Weasley's age and full awareness of the illegality and seriousness of the Unforgivable Curses, he will receive very severe punishment from the Wizengamot even though he isn't an adult."
"Does this mean I don't have to worry about seeing him at Hogwarts again?" asked Harry hopefully.
"Yes," confirmed Ameila, "I'm going to the staffroom to arrest him now. You may go rejoin your true friends."
Harry rejoined Neville, Hermione, Ginny, and Luna in the Great Hall and told them that Ameila intended to arrest Ron after watching the memory of Ron using the Cruciatus Curse on Harry.
"Good," piped up Hermione in relieved voice, "Let's call a spade a spade, things will become calmer here with the MoRon around and he did break a very important law."
"He made his own bed and now he has to lie in it," agreed Neville.
"Some things are forgivable," said Luna harshly, "The use of the Cruciatus Curse is NOT of them."
"Hell no," declared Ginny, "It is time for my not so dear brother to reap what he has sown."
"Actions have consequences," said Harry in a crystal clear voice, "The MoRon must now pay the price for the terrible things he has done. And fuck Dumbledore's forgiveness sermons."
Meanwhile, Ameila made it to the staff room where Flitwick, Sprout, and McGonagall formed a circle around Ron.
Ameila ejected a pair of handcuffs from her right hand pocket.
Sprout, Flitwick, and McGonagall, seeing Ameila's handcuffs and knowing what she was going to do, stepped aside.
Ameila placed the handcuffs upon Ron and said, "Mr. Weasley, you are under arrest for the use of an Unforgivable Curse on a minor."
"Mr. Potter needs to learn to forgive," began Dumbledore, but Ameila pointed her wand at him and cried "Silenco!"
Dumbledore fell silent, and Ameila led Ron away.
Ron Weasley was being arrested.
He would face consequences for his actions.
