Sure enough, after lunch, Ameila Bones arrived at Hogwarts with her wand already held at the ready in her right hand.
Ameila carefully searched Hogwarts looking for a beetle and sure enough, she found one sitting on a windowsill just outside the Divination classroom.
Amelia pointed her wand directly at the beetle and cried "Stupefy!"
Her aim was true, and the beetle was immediately stunned.
Next nanosecond, Ameila, with her wand still pointed directly at the now stunned beetle, called out, "Accio Beetle!"
The beetle instantly zoomed into Amelia's hands.
Ameila apparated directly into the Interview Room at the Ministry of Magic and pulled a bottle of Veritaserum out of her left hand pocket with her left hand.
Ameila performed a powerful nonverbal spell on the beetle that forced Rita Skeeter to resume her human form and forced three drops of Veritaserum down Rita's throat and then unstunned her.
"What's your name?" Ameilia asked Rita, getting right down to business.
"Rita Skeeter," answered Rita simply.
"Is the article you wrote in the Daily Prophet about Amanda Diggory giving the Champions illegal hints true?" Ameila grilled Rita.
"No," spilled Rita, "The only part of that article that is true is the fact that Amanda Diggory did in fact meet up with the Champions yesterday. However, the actual content of their meeting was just the Champions explaining to her what the Second Task would entail and what the rules would be. I twisted the meeting and made up my own story with the hope of selling more papers."
"Is this the first time you have written an article that was not entirely truthful?" Ameilia asked Rita.
"No," replied Rita, "Most of my articles are ninety percent fabricated with a dash of fact as a starting point. I like to sensationalize things because it helps sell more papers. The business of business is to make money."
"Did Amanda or any of the Champions know you were here yesterday?" interrogated Ameila.
"No, because I stayed in my beetle form and watched from afar," revealed Rita.
"How long have you been an animagus?" was the next thing Ameila wanted to know from Rita.
Had she not been under the influence of Veritaserum, Rita would have lied that she had been an animagus for so long that she could not remember when she had become an animagus.
However, the process of becoming an animagus was so complex and painstaking that it was literally impossible not to remember the process.
As such, Rita let out, "I became an animagi just this past summer. I became an animagus on Saturday, July 3rd, 1993. I had been tipped off by Fudge that the Triwizard Tournament would be taking place at Hogwarts this year and thought that might be an excellent opportunity to buzz around for stories. I figured the Triwizard Tournament would give me chances for sensationalism to sell papers. "
That was all Ameila needed to hear.
She restunned Rita and fed her the antidote to Veritaserum.
Amelia now dug into her left hand pocket again and retrieved a pair of handcuffs.
Placing the handcuffs upon Rita and unstunning her, "Rita Skeeter, you are under arrest for multiple counts of libel as well as for being an unregistered animagus. You will stand trial, and I plan on recommending a lifetime ban on writing, a five hundred galleon fine, and five years in Azkaban with no possibility of having your sentence commuted. But, before your arrest is official, someone deserves to get some revenge on you."
Ameila took a paper airplane out of her right hand pocket with her right hand and threw it to where it went out of sight.
A few minutes and a few nanoseconds later, Amanda Diggory appeared.
"You've got her cornered," smirked Amanda, "Good."
Amanda pulled a Puking Pastille out of her left hand pocket with her left hand and ate the orange half.
This forced her to vomit, and she antenatally vomited all over Rita, which ruined her favorite green dress as being in handcuffs she was unable to access her wand to perform any cleaning spells, ensuring she would be covered in Amanda Diggory's vomit for some time.
Amanda then ate the purple half of the Puking Pastille to recover herself.
"Take that, bitch," Amanda told Rita harshly.
"My best dress is ruined," rued Rita.
"And lots of people's lives could have been ruined by your lies," retorted Amanda.
"She won't be offered clean clothes for the rest of the day," beamed Ameila, "Having to be covered in your vomit is the ultimate comeuppance for her.
And Rita's comeuppance from Amanda didn't stop there.
Amanda dug her right hand pocket into her right hand and took out her wand.
Amanda raised her wand and cried, "Accio Quick Quotes Quills!"
Rita's box of Quick Quotes Quills flew from her desk in her own office into Amanda's hands faster than a cheetah chasing its prey.
When she had the box in her hands, Amanda opened it and dumped all the Quick Quotes Quills onto the floor.
Pointing her wand at the quills on the floor, Amanda exclaimed, "Reducto!"
Amanda's spell was true and all of Rita's Quick Quote Quills were reduced to dust.
"I spent years and galleons building that quill collection," whined Rita.
"Only to use it to spread lies," snarled Amanda, "You can't expect me to feel sorry for you after you spread lies about me in a very public and widely read paper. Karma's a bitch!"
"She's right," agreed Amelia, "Karma's a bitch! I'm glad those instruments of falsehood have now bitten the dust. Amanda, you may leave."
Amanda left and Ameila said, "Rita, you will be taken to a Ministry Holding Cell and remember that these Holding Cells have Anti Disapparation Wards that result in instant death for anyone who tries to escape."
Ameila took Rita to one of the Ministry Holding Cells and locked her in.
Rita had started to suffer repercussions.
