Lincoln and Iono's Beach Date
After Lincoln, Clyde, and Iono's encounter with Coral, and all the questions that Iono's fans had for Lincoln after Iono was done kissing him were answered, the three sit and down on a bench to calm down after all the excitement.
"What was up with that Coral girl?" asked Clyde.
"She wanted my Tera Orb." said Iono as she snuggles against Lincoln, making him blush.
"At least she didn't get it." said Lincoln.
"I can deal with losing a Tera Orb; I can always get another one." said Iono before she wraps her arms around Lincoln. "But if she lays so much as a finger on you, I will make her regret it!"
"Maybe we can chill out here for a while, buddy." said Clyde.
"At least until we're certain that Coral girl is nowhere near here." said Lincoln.
"What do you want to do, cutie?" Iono asked Lincoln. Clyde looks up at the clear sky and notices the warm summer temperature.
"This seems like a great day to spend at the beach." said Clyde.
"That's a good idea." said Lincoln. Iono smiles and blushes at the thought of spending more time with her white-haired guradian angel.
"We can bring a picnic for us to enjoy." said Iono.
"And we can use some fun in the sun." said Lincoln. Clyde looks at Lincoln and Iono together and smirks as an idea forms in his head.
"Actually, I think I'll look around the area outside the city; maybe find some Tera Dens to go into for some new Pokemon." said Clyde.
"You sure?" asked Lincoln. Clyde looks at Lincoln, then at Iono, then back at Lincoln with a wink; Lincoln blushes when he realized what his best friend was doing. Iono also gets giddy of having alone time with Lincoln.
"Yeah, I'm sure." said Clyde.
"Well, if you're okay with that, then I guess me and Iono can go to the beach by ourselves." said Lincoln with a blush.
"We might as well bring our Pokemon with and let them have some fun also." said Iono.
"That's a great idea." said Lincoln.
"Any good beaches around here?" asked Clyde.
"There's the one where I found my Finizen." said Lincoln. "It's nearby to the southeast."
"That will be perfect." said Iono as she smiles at Lincoln.
"When are you gonna head over there?" asked Clyde.
"When I get into some decent beachwear." said Iono.
"I already have my trunks under my clothes." said Lincoln. "I can head over to the beach, get my stuff ready, and maybe make the picnic lunch for us to enjoy."
"This is going to be so much fun!" said Iono.
"I'm gonna head out now." said Clyde before he smirks at Lincoln.
"I'll see you at the beach later, Iono." said Lincoln as he gets up and starts heading towards the south exit of Levincia.
"It's a date!" said Iono with a giggle, making Lincoln blush some more. Meanwhile, a few Iono fans overheard their plans.
"Iono's going on a date with Lincoln?" an Iono fan asked.
"What are they going to do together?" asked another Iono fan.
"Maybe she'll do a livestream video of it." said another Iono fan.
Meanwhile, with the Loud sisters in Royal Woods, and on the airplane bound for Paldea, a tingly sensation goes up their spines, making them giddy with delight.
"Something's up with Lincoln!" said Luan with a smile.
"Something good!" said Lori.
"Wish we could see whatever it was!" said Lynn to Leni, Lucy, and Lana who got the same feeling.
Twenty minutes later at the beach, Lincoln got his beach towel laid out on the sand, and he just got done making sandwiches, and getting some snacks and drinks on the side ready.
"I think that should be plenty." said Lincoln as he looks over everything. As he gets up off the ground, he hears Iono call out to him.
"Hi, cutie!" said Iono.
"Hi, Io..." Lincoln starts to say as he turns to greet Iono, only to stop when he saw her. Iono was dressed in a shiny, yellow, one-piece swimsuit that had her livestream channel logo on it, her hair wasn't braided right now and hung loose down her back; she was also wearing yellow sandals and carrying a blue and pink beach towel.
"How do I look, Linky?" asked Iono with a smile.
"Bah... Bah... Bah..." Lincoln stammered, making Iono giggle as she runs towards him; as she does, a small lump rises out of the sand in front of her, making her trip and fall forward.
"Iono!" shouts Lincoln as he runs over to her and catches her in his arms, but due to the loose sand and he didn't have time to get into a solid stance, he falls backward, with Iono right on top of him.
"Thanks, Linky." said Iono as she laughed.
"What did you trip over?" asked Lincoln. He and Iono look back to where Iono tripped and see a Pokemon that looked like a pile of sand with a shovel embedded in its head. Lincoln whistles, making his Rotom Phone float over to him; he grabs it and points it at the Pokemon.
"Sandygast, the Sand Heap Pokemon. If it loses its shovel, it will stick something else- like a branch-in its head to make do until it finds another shovel." said Lincoln's Rotom Phone.
"Sorry, Sandygast." said Iono. The Sandygast nods before it sinks back into the sand.
"You okay, Iono?" asked Lincoln.
"I'm fine." said Iono. She and Lincoln blush when they realize the position they were in; Iono blushes when she sees Lincoln's toned body before she rests her head against his chest and gliding her hand down it multiple times, making Lincoln's face turn red.
Meanwhile, with Clyde, he was in East Province Area Two, facing a yellow, serpentlike Pokemon with a blue underside, tiny wings on its back, and a drill like tail. Clyde takes out his Rotom Phone and points it at the Pokemon.
"Dunsparce, the Land Snake Pokemon. It creates mazes in dark locations. When spotted, it flees into the ground by digging with its tail." said Clyde's Rotom Phone. Clyde takes out a pokeball.
"Kirlia, go!" said Clyde, throwing Kirlia's pokeball and releasing him. "Kirlia, use Psybeam!" Kirlia releases a multicolored beam of energy from his hands, and it hits Dunsparce, knocking it back; it begins stumbling around. "I think it's confused." Dunsparce curled into a ball and rolled forward, but crashes into a tree, hurting itself; it struggles to move. Clyde takes out an empty pokeball and throws it at Dunsparce, hitting it, and sucking it in; it wiggled a few times until it clicked.
"Yes! I caught Dunsparce!" said Clyde. (Better Clyde catching one than Chandler; right, Uber Ghidorah?) Dunsparce's pokeball vanishes and gets transported to storage. Clyde looks up Dunsparce's information on his Rotom Phone.
"Okay, this says Dunsparce is a boy, he knows Defense Curl, Mud-Slap, Flail, Rollout, Glare, Screech, and Ancient Power; he has the Serene Grace ability which increases the chance of a move with a secondary ability's effect activating." said Clyde. As he returns Kirlia to his pokeball, he notices a Tera Den near the edge of a cliff; he walks over to it and enters it. Once inside, he sees a Pokemon that looked like a mushroom with a cap that resembled a pokeball. Clyde takes out his Rotom Phone and points it at the Pokemon.
"Foongus, the Mushroom Pokemon. There is a theory that the developer of the modern-day Poké Ball really liked Foongus, but this has not been confirmed." said Clyde's Rotom Phone. Clyde notices the crystal flowers on top of Foongus.
"Judging by the flowers on top of Foongus, it could only mean its Tera type is grass." said Clyde as he pulls out a pokeball. "Pyroar, go!" He throws Pyroar's pokeball and releases him. "Pyroar, use Work Up!" Pyroar becomes surrounded by a light red aura and his attack and special attack strength increases. Foongus shakes its body, and an orange powder is released from its body and onto Pyroar; he begins twitching.
"That must've been Stun Spore; Pyroar's paralyzed!" said Clyde. "Well, we won't let that stop us; Pyroar, Fire Fang!" Pyroar fights through his paralysis and lunges at Foongus while fire surrounded his fangs and he bites Foongus, dealing super effective damage; fire covers Foongus' body. "Foongus is burned." Foongus releases a stream of white smog from its mouth, and it hits Pyroar, damaging him. Foongus flinches in pain from its burn.
"Pyroar, Headbutt!" said Clyde. Pyroar fights through his paralysis again and rams his head into Foongus, shattering its Tera Form, and it collapses. Clyde takes out an empty pokeball and throws it at Foongus, crystalizing on the way, and it hits Foongus; it gets sucked into the pokeball and it wiggled a few times until it clicked. "Yeah! Foongus is mine!" The Tera Den vanishes and Clyde and Pyroar found themselves back in East Province Area Two; Foongus' pokeball gets trainsported to storage. Clyde sees several berries and three bags of Stardust and picks them up. He then uses his Rotom Phone to look up his new Foongus' information.
"This says Foongus is a boy, he knows Absorb, Astonish, Growth, Stun Spore, Mega Drain, Synthesis, and Clear Smog; he has the Regenerator ability which restores some of his energy when he switches out of battle." said Clyde. After returning Pyroar to his pokeball, he looks down the cliff and sees Lincoln and Iono on the beach together; he smiles before continuing to explore.
After Iono was done cuddling Lincoln, the two let out their Pokemon and they all decide to have some fun; Lincoln and Iono made a sand sculpture of the Pokemon League building in Levincia, they worked on their tans, with Iono having Lincoln rubbing tanning lotion on her back and legs, making his face turn red as he does. Lincoln and Iono's Pokemon all played with each other as Finizen swims around in the sea. Right now, Lincoln and Iono were having lunch while talking about stuff.
"So, four of your sisters are coming here to Paldea?" asked Iono as she takes a bite of the sandwich that Lincoln made. "Wow, you're a good chef."
"Yeah, they wanted to join me on my adventure after what I experienced here, and in Kitakami." said Lincoln.
"Are you sure you want them to be with you after what they and the rest of your family did?" asked Iono.
"Well, they did apologize, and I don't feel like wasting my life holding a grudge." said Lincoln. "Besides, if it wasn't for that, we wouldn't have ended up meeting and hanging out right now."
"Yeah, there is that." said Iono as she looks away with a blush.
"What do you want to do now?" Lincoln asked Iono.
"Let's go for a swim." said Iono.
"Good idea." said Lincoln. Iono grabs Lincoln's hand while winking at him, making Lincoln blush, and pulls him into the ocean with her; when they were in a deep enough part of the water, they both take a deep breath and go under. The two look at the underwater sights, including all the Pokemon.
'This is so amazing.' Lincoln thinks to himself. Just then, Lincoln's Finizen swims over to him and Iono and gestures towards his flippers; getting what Finizen was getting at, Lincoln and Iono each grab onto one of Finizen's flippers and he starts swimming through the ocean with Lincoln and Iono hanging on.
As Lincoln and Iono were being pulled along, a large group of pink, heart-shaped, Pokemon swam in between, and followed after them; Lincoln recognized the Pokemon from his and Clyde's studies at Naranja Academy.
Ten minutes later, Lincoln and Iono were back on shore, drying off after their swim.
"That was fun!" said Iono.
"It was awesome." said Lincoln as he looks away with a blush.
"You okay, cutie?" asked Iono.
"Remember those pink, heart-shaped Pokemon that swam by us while we were underwater?" Lincoln asked Iono.
"Yeah?" Iono replied.
"They were Luvdiscs." said Lincoln as he smiles while looking away with a blush again. "I, uh, learned about some interesting folklore at Naranja Academy involving them."
"What?" Iono replied.
"That any couple that finds that Pokemon will be blessed with eternal love." said Lincoln as he looks at Iono with a smile, making her squeal with delight.
"I love the sound of that." said Iono.
After a while, the two pack up their stuff, and were ready to head back to Levincia.
"I had a good time with you, Linky." said Iono.
"I enjoyed hanging out with you also." said Lincoln.
"We should do it again sometime." said Iono.
"I'd like that." said Lincoln. Suddenly, Iono wraps her arms around Lincoln's shoulders, holds him tight to her body, and kisses him right on the lips, making Lincoln's face turn red.
Meanwhile, at three seperate locations; Nemona, Carmine, and Coral suddenly growled, startling people near them; at the same time, all of Lincoln's sisters squealed for reasons they didn't really know.
After about a minute, Iono breaks the kiss and, reluctantly, lets Lincoln go as he stares into space with a stunned look on his face; after a few seconds, he steps out of his trance, making Iono laugh.
"Let's go, cutie." said Iono as she grabs Lincoln's hand, and the two start walking to Levincia together. They soon reached the city, to be met with Clyde, and a large horde of Iono fans.
"Hey, buddy!" said Clyde before the Iono fans rushed past him and surrounded Lincoln and Iono.
"What did you two do together?" asked an Iono fan.
"Did you have fun?" asked another Iono fan.
"Did you two kiss again?" asked another Iono.
"Are you two a couple?" asked another Iono fan. Lincoln and Iono looked at everyone around them before they started answering their questions.
Later that night, at a hotel, Lincoln gave Clyde all the details about his and Iono's day at the beach.
"Those Luvdiscs swimming between you and Iono is definitely a sign that you two were meant to be together." said Clyde with a grin.
"Hope my sisters don't find out when they get here." said Lincoln.
"I won't say a word." said Clyde.
"You were gonna tell them about how Carmine kissed me." Lincoln replied as he glares at his best friend, making him look away with a smile of innocence.
"Touche." Clyde replied.
"Let's get ready for bed." said Lincoln.
Meanwhile, in Iono's apartment, she was lying on her bed, looking at the pictures she took of her date with Lincoln, including the kiss.
"Lincoln is so cool." said Iono with a smile on his face. "I will not let Carmine, that crazy Coral girl, or any other girl come between me and him."
Lincoln and Iono just had a pleasant beach day together. What else awaits Lincoln and Clyde as their Treasure Hunt continues?
