Interview with Katherine Mulligan
At the Grand Underground, Lincoln and Stella were in a cavern with several ponds, looking at a light blue, seahorse-like Pokemon.
"Hey, Lincoln; what's this Pokemon?" asked Stella. Lincoln takes out his pokedex and points it at the Pokemon.
"Horsea, the Dragon Pokemon. It makes its nest in the shade of corals. If it senses danger, it spits black ink and flees." said Lincoln's pokedex. Stella takes a pokeball from her waist.
"It's cute; I'm catching it." said Stella. "Beautifly, go!" She throws Beautifly's pokeball and releases her. "Beautifly, use Gust!" Beautifly flaps her wings and releases a gust of wind from them; it hits Horsea, knocking it back. Horsea fires a beam of light blue energy from its mouth and it hits Beautifly, damaging her; she begins twitching.
"Oh man; Beautifly's paralyzed." said Lincoln. "That Horsea must've used Dragon Breath."
"Well, we're not giving up; Beautifly, Mega Drain!" said Stella. Beautifly fights through her paralysis and releases a green beam of energy from her proboscis and it hits Horsea, dealing super effective damage while healing Beautifly's wounds; Horsea floats on the water, exhausted. Stella takes out an empty pokeball and throws it at Horsea, hitting it, and sucking it in; the pokeball wiggled until it clicked. "Yes! Horsea is mine!"
"You were amazing, Stella." said Lincoln. Horsea's pokeball vanishes and gets transported to storage. Lincoln looks up Horsea's information on his pokedex. "This says your Horsea's a girl, she knows Water Gun, Leer, Smokescreen, Twister, Focus Energy, and Dragon Breath; she has the Sniper ability which increases the power of her critical hit moves. It's also holding something called a Dragon Scale." Lincoln reaches into his backpack and pulls out a round, red berry.
"What's that?" asked Stella.
"A Cheri Berry; got it from a tree back in Eterna Forest." said Lincoln. He holds it towards Stella. "This cures paralysis, so you should give this to Beautifly." Stella takes the Cheri Berry and holds it towards Beautifly; she sucks on it with her proboscis and cures her paralysis.
"Thanks, Lincoln." said Stella. She wraps her arms around Lincoln's shoulders and kisses him on the lips which Lincoln responded with a kiss of his own; Dawn, who was at the entrance of the cavern, was watching them with a frown.
Back in Royal Woods at the Spokes residence; Rodney Spokes and Katherine Mulligan were on the couch in the living room, snuggled together with a blanket wrapped around them, watching a movie on TV.
"This is so nice." said Katherine as she kisses Rodney on the cheek.
"Thought you'd like this." said Rodney.
"Where are your sons at?" Katherine asked Rodney.
"Rocky is at a friend's house right now." said Rodney.
"And your other son; the one who altered that photo?" asked Katherine.
"He doesn't go out much these days." said Rodney. "Partly because no one will hang out with him because of what he did, and for some reason, he's scared to step outside."
As if on cue, Rusty walks into the living room, with pillows tied around his torso, a collander on his head, and a spatula in his hand; walks into the living room, getting the adults' attention.
"Hello, Rusty." said Rodney with a frown.
"Hi, Dad." said Rusty as he thrusts the spatula he was holding underneath the couch.
"What are you doing?" asked Rodney.
"Checking for monsters." said Rusty.
"Aren't you a little too old to believe in them?" asked Katherine.
"They're real!" said Rusty. "The Loud sisters have a bunch of them, and had them doing things to me for the last several weeks!"
"Really?" asked Katherine.
"Yeah, let me tell you about them." said Rusty as he goes on to tell the award-winning news reporter about the Louds' Pokemon.
Later, at the Loud house, the Louds that were there were packing suitcases for their trip to the Sinnoh Region.
"I can't wait to get there." said Lola.
"Staying in a luxury lakeside resort sounds, literally, amazing." said Lori. Just then, they hear knocking from their front door.
"Who could that be?" asked Lynn Sr. He goes to the door and opens it to see Katherine Mulligan, along with Rusty and Rodney Spokes, and a cameraman, holding a news camera towards them.
"Katherine Mulligan?" said Rita.
"That's right." said Katherine. "I'm award-winning news anchorwoman, Katherine Mulligan, coming to you live at the Loud residence." She looks over at Rusty. "I heard from this young man that your family is in possession of unusual creatures."
"You two-time rat!" said Lynn as she punches Rusty in the face.
"So, you have the creatures that Rusty told me about?" asked Katherine.
"Well, Katherine, the creatures are known as Pokemon." replied Lynn Sr.
"And where did they come from?" asked Katherine. "Did your daughter, Lisa, create them somehow."
"No." said Lisa. "Not these ones anyway."
"Believe it or not, these Pokemon came from another dimension." said Rita.
"And how did they come to be here?" asked Katherine.
"Several months ago, our daughter, Lisa, invented a watch that can open portals to alternate dimensions." said Lynn Sr.
"You see, over a month ago, our son, Lincoln, used the Dimensional Watch to get away from the backlash caused by that photo of him kissing Luna's girlfriend, Sam Sharp." said Rita.
"Oh yes, I know about that photo." said Katherine as she looks at Rusty who flinches under her gaze.
"Yes, by that red-haired dirtbag over there!" exclaimed Lola as she points at Rusty who was rubbing his nose in pain from Lynn Jr's punch.
"Yeah; me and my sisters gave that chump the beating of a lifetime." said Lynn Jr.
"And where's your brother now?" Katherine asked Lynn Jr as she looks around.
"He's still in the dimension the Pokemon came from." replied Lynn Sr.
"Why would he still be there?" asked Katherine. Lynn Sr explains to Katherine about Lincoln travelling all around Sinnoh to battle in gyms to earn badges needed to compete in the Sinnoh League.
"You're actually letting him travel this Sinnoh region all alone?" asked Katherine.
"Oh, he's not alone." said Rita. "Our daughter, Luna is with him, Sam Sharp is with him also, his best friend, Clyde McBride, Lincoln's girlfriend once again, Stella Zhau, a girl he met in Sinnoh, Dawn, and Sam Sharp's brother, Simon." Rita then tells Katherine about Stella and Dawn competing in Pokemon Contests and how the two girls are earning ribbons to compete in the Grand Festival.
"So, what are these gym battles like?" asked Katherine.
"We actually have footage of the Eterna Gym battle and the Veilstone Gym battle; Junior likes watching them." said Lynn Sr. He shows Katherine the footage of Lincoln's battle at the Eterna Gym."
"That looked exciting." said Katherine. "And these Pokemon Contests?"
"We have footage of those too; Lola loves watching them." said Rita. She then shows Katherine the footage of the Veilstone City Pokemon Contest.
"Wow; that Pokemon Contest looked marvelous." said Katherine. "Now, what Pokemon do you all have here in our world?" Lynn Sr and Rita each take out a pokeball and tosses them, releasing both male and female Nidorans.
"These two Pokemon are called Nidorans." said Lynn Sr.
"The purple ones are male and the light blue ones are female." said Rita. "Girls, would you show Katherine and all her viewers your Pokemon?"
"I'll go first; I'm the oldest." said Lori, making the rest of her sisters frown at her. Lori takes out a pokeball and tosses it, releasing her Clamperl.
"And what's this Pokemon?" asked Katherine.
"A Clamperl, a water type." said Lori. "And when Lincoln sent her here, she had this." She holds out the Big Pearl that Clamperl had on her.
"Wow; look at the size of that pearl." said Katherine with amazement.
"GIMME THAT PEARL!" shouts Lola as she jumps on Lori's back and tries to grab the pearl.
"I had Clamperl make a whirlpool in the community pool when Rusty was swimming in it." said Lori with a big grin.
"That was you?!" asked Rusty. "My trunks came off! I was embarrassed in front of everyone!"
"Wasn't a picnic for me either!" said Lori.
"My turn." said Leni, taking out a pokeball and tosses it, releasing her Skitty. "This is a Skitty."
"Oh, what an adorable Pokemon." said Katherine.
"Try saying that when it's clawing your face!" said Rusty, making Skitty hiss at him, making him recoil.
"My turn." said Luan; she tosses a pokeball, releasing her Mr. Mime. "This is Mr. Mime."
"At least that one hasn't done anything to me." said Rusty.
"Acutally, do you remember bumping into something you couldn't see?" asked Luan.
"Yeah." replied Rusty.
"I had Mr. Mime make invisible barriers in front of you." said Luan, grinning.
"Okay, I'm next." said Lynn Jr. She takes out a pokeball and tosses it, releasing her Machop.
"And what's this Pokemon?" asked Katherine.
"He's called a Machop." said Lynn Jr. "He use to belong to some chump in the dimension these Pokemon came from named Paul, but he abandoned him; so Lincoln captured him and sent him here."
"Yeah, it used me as a punching bag!" said Rusty.
"My turn." said Lucy from behind Katherine, scaring her. Lucy takes out a pokeball and tosses it, releasing her Gastly. "This is called a Gastly, he's a ghost type; so he's my kind of Pokemon. I had him throw Rusty into the girls' bathroom at school."
"I knew you had something to do with that!" said Rusty.
"My turn!" said Lana. She takes out two pokeballs and tosses them, releasing her Grimer and Stunky.
"Oh my, those two smell putrid!" said Katherine, pinching her nose.
"I know, isn't it great?" asked Lana. "Anyway, that sludge looking one is called a Grimer, and that skunk-looking one is called a Stunky."
"The Grimer kissed me, and the Stunky sprayed stinky stuff at me!" said Rusty. Lola jumps off Lori's back.
"My turn." said Lola. She takes out a pokeball and tosses it, releasing her Pachirisu.
"Oh, what a cute Pokemon." said Katherine.
"Of course she is; anyway, this is a Pachirisu." said Lola.
"It hit me with an electrified tackle!" said Rusty. Lisa then tosses a pokeball, releasing her Abra.
"This Pokemon is called an Abra." said Lisa. "He's capable of teleportation; I've been studying him to learn about teleportation so that I may one day create a teleportation device." Lily tosses a pokeball she was holding, releasing Bibarel.
"And Lily's Pokemon is a Bibarel." said Rita. "She was Lincoln's Pokemon, but Lily liked her so much, Lincoln let Lily keep her."
"It spat water at me... hard!" said Rusty. Just then, they hear knocking on the door. Rita walks to the door and opens it, revealing Howard and Harold McBride.
"Oh, hi, Howard and Harold; what brings you here?" asked Rita.
"We saw the news report, and we just have to show everyone the Pokemon, Clyde got for us." said Howard. He takes out a pokeball and holds it towards Harold, who pushes it, and enlarges it; Howard tosses it, releasing their Sentret.
"This Pokemon is called a Sentret; he's just so precious." said Harold.
"These Pokemon are just so incredible; I wish I could show more of these Pokemon to my viewers." said Katherine. Lynn Sr begins scratching her chin.
Moments later at the Grand Underground, Lincoln was communicating with his family on his Poketch.
"Sure, I'd be glad to do an interview with Katherine." said Lincoln. He looks around at the lava-filled cavern he was in. "But can we wait until we find a cavern that's safer to be in?"
"Sure, son." said Lynn Sr. Moments later, they were in a grassy cavern.
"I can't believe we're doing an interview." said Lincoln.
"I can't wait to show everyone my Pokemon." said Stella.
"I wish I had time to do my hair." said Dawn. Seconds later, a portal appeared, and the Louds, the McBrides, the Zhaus, Katherine Mulligan, and a cameraman walk out of the portal. The Louds hugged Lincoln and Luna, Stella and her parents hugged, and Howard and Harold hugged Clyde. Katherine looked around the cavern she was in.
"Doing an interview in another dimension; I could be a two-time, award winner for this." said Katherine. Moments later, Katherine Mulligan was standing next to Lincoln. "I'm Katherine Mulligan, coming to you from the dimension these Pokemon came from; I am here with Lincoln Loud. How are you doing right now, Lincoln?"
"I'm doing great, Katherine; I'm feeling a lot better after what that backstabbing jerk, Rusty did." replied Lincoln.
"So, Lincoln; would you like to bring out your Pokemon?" asked Katherine.
"Sure thing." said Lincoln. He tosses his pokeballs and releases his Pokemon.
"And what are these Pokemon called, Lincoln." asked Katherine. Lincoln points at his Infernape.
"This Pokemon is my very first Pokemon, Infernape." said Lincoln. "He was a Chimchar at first, but he evolved into a Monferno, and finally, Infernape."
"Evolved?" asked Katherine.
"You see, some Pokemon change into different Pokemon when they gain enough experience battling." replied Lincoln.
"Interesting." said Katherine. Lincoln points at his Zororark.
"And this is Zoroark; she use to be called a Pokemon called Zorua, but she evolved." said Lincoln.
"Aw, and Zorua was totes adorbs." said Leni. Lincoln then points at his Bastiodon.
"This Pokemon used to be a Shieldon, but he evolved into a Bastiodon." said Lincoln. He then points at Floatzel. "This Pokemon's a Floatzel; use to be a Buizel." He then points at Dragonair. "And this is Dragonair; she use to be a Dratini, but she evolved too." He then points at Victreebel. "And this is called a Victreebel; she use to be a Bellsprout, but with training, she evolved into a Weepinbell; then I found a Leaf Stone, and touched her with it, and she evolved into a Victreebel."
"Leaf Stone?" asked Katherine.
"Some Pokemon evolve if you touch them with certain stones." said Lincoln. Katherine looks at the rest of Lincoln's travel group.
"And do they have Pokemon as well?" asked Katherine.
"They sure do." said Lincoln. The rest of Lincoln's group toss their pokeballs and release their Pokemon.
"Incredible." said Katherine. Stella walks to Katherine, followed by her Pokemon.
"Hi, Katherine." said Stella. She tosses her pokeballs and releases her Pokemon; she points at her Roserade. "This is Roserade, my first Pokemon; she use to be a Budew, but she battled until she evolved into Roselia; then Lincoln found a Shiny Stone, which what Roselia needed to evolve into Roserade.
"Your Roserade looks magnificent." said Katherine. Stella then points at her Eevee.
"And this Pokemon is called an Eevee." said Stella. She then points at Beautifly. "And this Pokemon is called a Beautifly."
"I can see how it got its name." said Katherine.
"She use to be a Pokemon called a Wurmple, then she evolved into a Silcoon, and finally, Beautifly." said Stella.
"I still want one." said Lola. Stella points at her Corsola. "This Pokemon is called a Corsola." She then points at her Combusken. "This Pokemon use to be a Pokemon called Torchic, but she evolved into Combusken." She then points at her Bronzor. "And this is Bronzor."
"Okay, I'm next." said Luna, tossing her pokeballs and releasing her Pokemon. She points at her Graveler. "This is a Graveler; use to be a Pokemon called Geodude, but I called her Geodudette because she's a girl, but she evolved." She points at Grotle. "This is Grotle. He use to be a Turtwig, but he evolved when he battled enough." She points at her Hisuian Sneasel. "And this is a Sneasel." She points at her Eevee. "I'm sure you already know this is an Eevee." She points at her Ambipom. "And this little dudette use to be a Pokemon called an Aipom, but she evolved into Ambipom." She then points at her Rotom. "And this Pokemon's called a Rotom."
"My turn." said Sam. She tosses her pokeballs and releases her Pokemon. She points at her Prinplup. "This is Prinplup; use to be a Piplup before she evolved." She points at her Luxio. "And this is Luxio; in fact, she's the first Pokemon me and Lincoln met on the night we came to this dimension. She use to be a Shinx until she evolved." She then points at Kricketune. "This is Kricketune; use to be a Kricketot." She then points at Golbat. "This is Golbat; use to be a Zubat."
"Wish I had one." said Lucy from behind Sam, scaring her. Sam then points at Onix.
"And this is Onix." said Sam. She then points at Eevee. "And you already know what this Pokemon is." Sam looks at Dawn.
"That's Dawn; me and Lincoln's first friend here in this dimension." said Sam. Dawn walks to Katherine.
"Hello, Katherine." said Dawn. She takes out her pokeballs. "Come out, everyone." She tosses her pokeballs and releases her Pokemon; she points at Piplup. "This is Piplup."
"You mean what Sam's Prinplup use to be?" asked Katherine.
"Yep." replied Dawn. She then points at Sylveon. "This is Sylveon; use to be an Eevee."
"You mean Eevees evolve into Sylveons?" asked Katherine.
"Actually, Eevees evolve to several kind of Pokemon depending on what time of the day they gain enough experience battling, or what stone they're touched with." said Dawn. She points at her Pachirisu. "And this is Pachirisu."
"Yes, I've already seen Lola's." said Katherine.
"And this is Lopunny." said Dawn, pointing at her Lopunny. "She use to be a Buneary, but she evolved when she liked me enough." She points at her Swablu. "And this Pokemon's a Swablu." She then points at Quilava. "And this Pokemon use to be a Cyndaquil until with enough training, she evolved into Quilava."
"I'm next." said Clyde as he tosses his pokeballs, releasing the Pokemon inside them. "The tall green and white one is called a Gallade, the yellow duck-looking one is called a Psyduck, the yellow four-legged one with the green leaflike ears and tail is called a Leafeon, the yellow bug one is called a Ninjask, the brown one is called a Shedinja, and the one with the white fur is called an Absol."
"My turn." said Simon as he tosses his pokeballs. "The blue crocodile one is called a Croconaw, the one with the armor is called an Aron, the slug-looking one made of lava is called a Slugma, the navy blue beetle-looking one is called a Heracross, the one that looks like a grayish-blue one that looks like a shark with a small body with arms and legs is called a Gible, and the two-headed bird is called a Doduo."
"These are very amazing creatures." said Katherine.
"Thank you." said Lincoln.
"Perhaps you can keep me updated on everything you're up to here?" asked Katherine.
"We can communicate via your Poketch, Lincoln." said Lisa.
"Sure, that sounds okay." said Lincoln.
"Oh, and one more thing." said Katherine. "We have another guest who wants to see you."
"Who?" asked Lincoln. Katherine looks back towards the portal she came to the Sinnoh region in.
"Okay, Rodney; send him through!" said Katherine. To Lincoln, Luna, Clyde, Stella, and Sam's shocks; Rusty comes stumbling through the portal.
"Did you have to shove me, Dad?!" Rusty shouted at the portal; he then looks around and soon sees Lincoln who was looking at him with a blank expression on his face.
"Rusty." Lincoln says.
"Hey, Lincoln." said Rusty with a nervous expression on his face. Lincoln suddenly walks slowly towards him with a fist forming in his hand as it dangles at his side.
"What are you gonna do, Lincoln?" asked Clyde. He got his answer when Lincoln got close to Rusty and lets out a loud yell as he punches Rusty across the face so hard that a tooth comes flying out, and the rest of his body was sent flying several yards before landing on the ground.
"YOU LOUSY, &%#$ *%, BACKSTABBING, PIECE OF $% &!" shouted Lincoln, making everyone else gasp at his language. "YOU GOT A LOT OF NERVE FACING ME AFTER WHAT YOU DID TO ME, LUNA, SAM, AND STELLA!"
"Language!" said Rita as she covers Lily's ears.
"Sorry." said Lincoln.
"I can edit that part out later." said Katherine.
"It's just I'm still plenty mad at Rusty." said Lincoln.
"I know, but you should still remember that there are young children here." said Rita.
"You're right; sorry." said Lincoln.
"But Lily said a bad word after Charles ate the donut she had after that interview with that preschool lady." said Lola.
"Oh yeah." said Rita.
"You started it, Lincoln." said Rusty as he gets up off the ground and wipes some blood off his lip. "You broke your promise to not ask Stella out on a date."
"Like you wouldn't have done that yourself eventually?" asked Lincoln.
"Touche." said Rusty.
"You messed up Luna and Sam's relationship." said Lincoln.
"I didn't mean for that to happen." said Rusty.
"Well, it still happened." said Sam as she glares at Rusty. "At least everyone knows the truth and Luna and I made up."
"Lincoln, can you ever forgive me?" asked Rusty.
"You probably wants bro to so we'll stop messing with him." said Lynn Jr. Lincoln takes a deep breath before letting it out.
"I'll think about it." said Lincoln. "But for now, I think my sisters did enough to you for now, and I got that punch in, so I'll ask them to lay off."
"Do we have to?" asked Lola.
"What else did you have planned for him?" asked Lincoln. The Loud sisters look at each other.
"I, literally, got nothing." said Lori.
"Me, neither." said Leni.
"I'm out of ideas." said Luan.
"I'm getting bored of beating him up." said Lynn.
"Fine." said Lori. "We'll stop."
"THANK YOU! THANK YOU! THANK YOU!" shouts Rusty as he gets on his hands and knees, and kisses Lincoln's feet. Once Rusty was done humiliating himself, he looks around and notices Dawn; he gets a goofy grin as he checks her out, with his eyes lingering on her short skirt, before walking over to her.
"What do you want?" asked Dawn.
"Wanna go out with a real man?" asked Rusty as he flexes one of his arms.
"Do you know any?" Dawn replied with a grin, making Rusty pout.
"Thank you, everybody; this is a great story." said Katherine.
"You're welcome." replied Lincoln.
Later, after the Spokes and Katherine head back to their dimension, the Louds and the rest of the group make their way back up to the surface.
Lincoln's group had an interesting day, and Lincoln finally got some payback against Rusty. Now Dawn and Stella have the Wallace Cup to look forward to. Will one of them win? Wait and find out.
