So...To how old Little Mac is that actually made me have to think about the timeline of this story a bit more as I thought of placing it in 2006 but then I realized if it takes place after the events of the Gryphons Arc but before the events of The White Ronin then this is probably taking place in the spring or summer of 2007 which would make Mac probably 19 still just barely entering legal adulthood in the United States, Little Mac and Bimbette are meant to be the same age with Mac maybe born a few months before her and also shows Bimbette really is a latecomer to the establishment of the Mutant Community of Forest perhaps we shall get into why soon

With Little Mac realizing how out of the loop Bimbette had been during her wanderings he realized he should probably start at the beginning.

"So…" Little Mac said "...When I was 17 I met my trainer Doc 'Jerome' Louis former champion of the WVBA before Mr. Sandman he started as just my trainer but overtime became like a Father to me...Then during the events of the Mutant Riots...He decided to become my father for real and officially adopt me…"
"So you finally have a family at last!" Bimbette clasped her three fingered hands together happy for Little Mac

"Yeah…" Mac chuckled "...It took me nearly getting eaten by a Mutant Anglerfish for me to finally realize even after becoming the champion I still had problems with putting up emotional walls and letting other people in, Doc probably realized this and that's why he decided to adopt me officially."
Bimbette sighed thinking about what she heard about the Mutant Riots "During my wanderings…" She said "...I traveled with a herd of mutant deer, who got slaughtered because they joined Eleanor's army for her attack on New York...They often spoke disparagingly of humans which is one reason I couldn't stay with them because I kept thinking of you...And how you proved to me not all humans are bad…"
And that brought Little Mac to things he had, had question for ever since he first met Bimbette all those years ago...Things that made her seem quite frankly bizarre when he thought she was a human girl but now knowing she was actually a Mutant Animal made things make a lot more sense…

"Bimbette…" Little Mac said "...Now that I know you're a Mutant...I feel the need to ask...How did you become a Mutant?"
"And the reaction Bimbette gave...Gulping...Her white tail going up and he could see the fur of the back of her neck starting to rise was all Little Mac needed to know it was something not pleasant…

"You were running away from someone weren't you?" Mac said as he was mentally putting the pieces together "That's why you were always so secretive weren't you? And why you eventually left the city?"
"Little Mac please!" Bimbette said her eyes having a 'deer-in-headlights' look "The past is the past!"
"You're not acting like it!" Little Mac said his fighter instincts activating though this was more verbal sparring which was not easy for him being normally a man of few words "You're acting like you're still scared of someone! Bimbette if there's someone who could come after you we should know about it! Because...We dealt with this before…"
"Pardon?" Bimbette cocked her head

"Have you heard there has been the first human/mutant marriage?" Little Mac asked

"Yes, that I know…" Bimbette sighed "...It was on the lips of every Mutant I came across as I made the long journey across the country to come to Forest…"
"Were you aware the human was Glass Joe, one of my fellow boxers at the WVBA?"
"No…" Bimbette said "...They didn't mention that...It's really a small world isn't it?"
"And getting smaller…" Little Mac sighed "...Anyway the point is this Mutant Dog Dana...Didn't tell him the Lab that made her was still after her and most of the other Boxers had to go rescue her when she got captured…"
So even if Little Mac didn't participate in the rescue of Dana he clearly heard all about it afterward so he clearly doesn't want the same thing to happen to Bimbette! Glass Joe and Dana themselves should appear in the next chapter
