In the city that the four villains attacked, smoke was coming from the buildings as the fires were being put out. Police were sectioning off the most-burnt areas. Alright. So this victim lost his Quirk too, Hawks thought to himself while being at the scene of the incident. Difference is, this guy isn't a hero like the rest. On top of that, anything that could identify him has been taken Mr. Shimano was currently in the hospital in a coma. So maybe the suspect doesn't want people to know what Quirk he stole. Why does he need to hide it...?
Above ground where no one could see him, Shigaraki was staring down at the crime scene.
The phone rang and Mina answered it. "Hello there!" She greeted with a smile. "You've reached the UA Hero Agency! Oh, your suitcase has gone missing? Sure, sure, we'll send someone right away! We've got a tourist down at the shopping center who's lost her luggage, you guys!"
"Oh! I'm free, I'll go!" Toru offered, waving a hand. "Aoyama, you should come with me."
"Oui!" He agreed while flipping his hair as he stood up.
"Jeez, more lost luggage, come on," Minoru gave a look of disbelief, as it was one of the more frequent requests they had gotten. "Try looking for your own stuff."
"You should've heard her. She sounds like a real cutie," Mina fake swooned so that he could hear.
He flinched and then blushed. "Ka-ching! I can't forsake someone in need!" He rushed to follow Yuga and Toru.
Momo turned around with a smile. "Shoji wants to know if anybody's available to back him up at the beach!" She called out to the others.
"No problem, I can do that," Mashirao got onto his feet.
"I'll see to the regular patrol," Fumikage walked past him.
"Alright," Izuku smiled while getting onto his feet. "Sis and I are going down to the Nijimas to help out in the fields!"
"We should be back before dinner. I'll leave the daily report for tonight," Izuka waved to Momo and Tenya as they left.
Katsuma peeked from around the corner of the agency, looking a little concerned. "See you later!" Izuku called out and the two ran to the left. Once they saw Katsuma, they came to an immediate stop. The little boy flinched and went back into hiding. The twins glanced at each other before they walked up and peeked from the corner. "Hey, uh...what's up? Is something the matter?"
"Is this an actual emergency?" Izuka blinked and then groaned a little. "If it's something your sister came up with, we're heading down to the fields. I'm not in the mood to deal with Katsuki again," She put her hand over her face. Izuku gave her a sheepish expression—she did tell him about...their other kiss, to her dismay. But that didn't mean she easily forgave him for last night. She wanted to forget about it, honestly, and Katsuki seemed to do the same. He hadn't really talked to either of them so far today.
"It's just...um, well," Katsuma turned around to them with a small frown. "I wanted to say sorry about yesterday," He admitted as they approached, causing them to pause.
Izuku let out a small chuckle, bending down to him. "That's so sweet! And really thoughtful of you, Katsuma! It's okay, I'm not mad or anything!"
Izuka bent down as well with a small smile on her face. "Don't worry about it. It's honestly to be expected at this point," She let out a small amused laugh. "And you are very kind to go out of your way to do that."
Katsuki stepped out onto the balcony, overhearing her. He glanced over to see the two past the stone fence, a popsicle in his mouth. He also had one in his hand, a mango one for Izuka. "And the other hero who was there? Will you tell him I'm sorry too?" Katsuma wondered to the twins timidly. "I didn't mean to make your relationship with him worse," He looked towards Izuka, who twitched in alarm. Katsuki gave a wide-eyed look himself, paying close attention to see what she had to say about that.
"Sure, I'll let him know," Izuku chuckled, knowing that if the little boy said it to Katsuki's face, he wouldn't take it well.
"It's not...well, it's..." Izuka struggled to summarize her relationship with Katsuki. "I mean...never mind," She sighed in defeat, closing her eyes with a small smile. "You don't need to be concerned with our relationship, Katsuma. It's not like it'll really negatively impact us...I don't think..." She rubbed the back of her neck, and Katsuki blinked at her words. He couldn't really think of anything that would have him treat Izuka the way he was recently. Even when she made him mad, he didn't really take it out on her anymore like he used to. "...Wait, relationship?" She gasped in alarm as she finally realized what she said. "Um, y-you mean like close friends? Cause...it might be that, but nothing deeper than that, ha ha..." She blushed awkwardly as she coughed, looking away. Her...friendship with Katsuki was not something she needed to be talking about right now after last night.
Katsuki stared at her for what seemed like a while. Right...judging by how she reacted when I asked if she liked Todoroki, she didn't understand what the hell I was saying. She doesn't know the real difference.
Even though she did know, she just didn't want to claim she had a relationship when she didn't even know Katsuki's feelings. His reasons for getting jealous were still lost on her, after all. He then flinched, looking away with his face red.
Why the hell do I act like I care?!
Izuku smiled up at his sister, getting to Katsuma's eye level. "But I'm curious. Why did you pretend a villain had shown up?"
"Was it a test or something? Because I can tell you right now that Katsu would not like it," Izuka sat on her knees, scratching her cheek with a nervous laugh.
He turned away, looking towards the ground while holding his hands. "The thing is...my sister, she hates heroes." The two blinked curiously; they already knew several people who hated heroes, regular people or villains. So it wasn't out of the ordinary to hear this, but they never had someone scold or trick them just because they were heroes-in-training. "She told me that even if I said there was a villain...the heroes around here would be too chicken to do anything about it...so that's why I had to..." He couldn't finish his sentence as he felt like he could only reach out to them, to show his sister she was wrong. Because the twins were the ones who found him first.
Izuku gave him a small smile, as did Izuka. "You believed in us, huh?" Katsuma gasped, looking towards them. "Even after what your sister said, you still believed we'd help you...and that's why you came to get us, isn't it?"
"Oh wow, Katsuma," Izuka smiled bashfully at him. "I feel so flattered that you wanted to seek us out. Thank you for putting your faith in us!"
Katsuma turned away with a small smile, nodding silently.
"...Uh! Hey, cool pin!" Izuku noticed the Edgeshot pin. "That's the Ninja hero Edgeshot, right?"
"Yup!" Katsuma nodded as he held it.
"Do you wanna be a hero someday too?" Izuku wondered, and the question made Katsuma freeze.
"...Not with my Quirk. It's no good for hero stuff." The twins frowned at him having no faith in himself. "Besides, Mahoro says it's too dangerous."
That caused them to remember something. "UA High is so famous, and this is the best they have to offer?!" She accused while pointing up at them, pouting.
I get it...Mahoro doesn't hate heroes. Not really. She's just worried about her little brother Izuku thought with a small frown.
No wonder why she was so adamant about our efforts and trying to show Katsuma we wouldn't show. She reminds me of myself, honestly Izuka gave a small sigh as she didn't know if she could be mad at Mahoro anymore...okay, maybe she could be a little less mad. But she still sympathized with Mahoro wanting to protect her brother. Sometimes, Izuka was worried about her own brother too, just like their mother. But she never made it so she pushed her brother into a different career. Even though he worried her...she supported him because she believed in him. And she could've discouraged him after the Kamino Incident, but...she didn't have it in her to do that, because she wanted Izuku to succeed in his goals. He had wanted for so long to be a hero, after all. She didn't want to take that away from him.
"Twins! My babies!" Inko cried out to them. "You keep getting hurt. I can't do this anymore. I don't think my heart can handle another scare," She cried into her handkerchief.
He furrowed his eyebrows as both of them could relate to Katsuma. He then sat down next to his sister, giving an encouraging smile. "Hey. Can I ask you something? If you could choose, what kind of hero would you want to be?"
"And what do you want to do as one?" Izuka encouraged with a small smile.
Katsuma turned away with a small blush and smile. "I'd wanna be a super strong one...who could beat up villains."
"Oh, yeah? You know...what I want more than anything is to keep people safe."
Katsuma blinked while turning to him. Izuku looked up at the sky with a smile. "But don't you have to beat up villains to do that? And wouldn't you be worrying your sister too?"
"Hm," The twins nodded silently in unison. "Defeating an enemy is one way, but I'm more worried about helping people out...if that means beating up a bad guy, then so be it." Katsuki was pressing his back against the edge while listening, his popsicle out of his mouth. "We might be looking at it differently, but we both want the same thing. We both want to be the best heroes we can be," Izuku got onto his feet, Katsuma looking at him in awe. "Which means..." He reached out his hand with a small smile. "That we'll have to give it our all!"
"Winning and saving people go hand in hand, really. Win to save, save to win," Izuka smiled at him as well. "I could worry about him, because he's my little brother and I don't want him to get hurt," She stood up, standing on her tippy toes to ruffle his head and he laughed. "But we both wanna be heroes together, and that's more worth it in the end. So keep working hard, Katsuma!" She smiled, a hand on her hip.
He smiled up at them, nodding with a giggle, and took Izuku's hand. "Oh! But we should try not to worry our families too much while we're at it."
"Right!" Katsuma agreed with the green-haired boy.
"It's not me you have to worry about, more so our mom," Izuka gave a small shrug.
"Right..." Izuku gave a sheepish chuckle after remembering that.
"One more thing before you go, Katsuma," Izuka bent down to him, causing him to blink. "Just because you believe you're not suited for hero work, doesn't mean you can't try. Oh, I know," She reached behind her back and then when she opened up her palm, a small floating white star appeared. He gasped at it as she smiled, putting it into his pocket. "That way, you'll have a little extra something to hold onto. So that you remember what we told you, okay?"
"Cool! How does that work?" His eyes gushed up at the girl, Izuku smiling at her.
"Shh, it's a secret," Izuka grinned, putting a finger in front of her smile. "Don't show your sister that until she eases up, okay?"
"Okay! I promise!" He held out his pinky and she linked it with his. He ran off while waving, Mrs. Suzumura walking over while holding something.
"Little Katsuma is such a sweet boy, and he really loves heroes, doesn't he? I brought you this, dears," She handed over a bag of greens.
"Thanks so much, Mrs. Suzumura!" He took it from her.
"Yeah! I'm sure Sato will appreciate it," Izuka smiled with a nod.
"You'll be kind to him, won't you?" The question caused them to look up in confusion, wondering what she meant. "It can't be easy. Poor dear lost his mother at such a young age." The two looked in the direction Katsuma went, wide-eyed. "And his father's away for work so often...so he and his older sister Mahoro are on their own a lot." The two frowned at this, as they sympathized even more. Their own father they didn't remember much about because he was always gone. "Of course, those of us in the neighborhood look after them best we can...but it must be so lonely...not having parents around at that age."
Katsuki's popsicle melted off, and the mango one fell onto his pants. He flinched, frowning in a little disappointment. He was so focused on what he was hearing that he forgot about them...
Mahoro looked around while on the playground, frowning. "Mahoro!" She looked up and then gave a relieved look to see her brother running up.
"Where have you been, Katsuma?" She called out to him.
"I went to see Mr. Deku and Ms. Callista!" He informed, to her bewilderment. "To say sorry for what happened yesterday."
"But why?" She tilted her head with a small smile; in her head, she felt like they didn't need to apologize.
"...Listen," He bowed his head while thinking about what the two said to him. "I love Daddy." She flinched from the look in his eyes. "And I wanna be as cool as he is someday, I really do...but also...I wanna be-"
An explosion went off, causing her to yelp. "Whoa, what was that?" She moved closer to protect him. Something crashed through a wall, and it was a ship.
"The brake water. What's the ferry doing?! We need to get out of here!"
All of them yelped and ran away from shore as the ship crashed. The two kids looked over the fence, gasping sharply as the ship was on its side. "It crashed! What's going on?!"
"Chimera," The villain leader spoke up to his group. "Mummy, you're in charge of diversions. I don't wanna be interrupted."
"So how should we do it?" Chimera wondered to his boss, a cigar in his mouth.
"However you want..."
"We're on it," Mummy immediately assured to Nine.
"Slice..."
"I'm ready," The woman smiled a little. Nine, Chimera, and Mummy jumped off the ship. Once they did, small little projectiles hit the ships from the harbor, exploding them on impact. The little projectiles were coming from Slice's hair as she spun around, launching a non-stop attack on the ships to destroy them.
"Uh...villains. Real ones this time!" Mahoro whimpered a little.
"Mahoro, we need to tell the heroes that we're here!" Katsuma looked up at her.
"What, you mean those useless students?" She turned around, not wanting to rely on them. She knew that they would fail.
"Mr. Deku and Ms. Callista won't be scared! They'll come help us, I know they will!" Katsuma defended the twins with a frown. She stared at him, as she felt like she didn't have a choice this time around...
Tenya and Ochaco smiled towards the mayor. "The Nijimas are all set!" Izuku reported, getting their attention as the twins ran up.
"I'm sure they appreciated the help!" Tenya smiled at the two as they ran by to head inside the agency.
"Good work, Deku and Mido!" Ochaco called out after them.
"Thanks, guys!" Izuka smiled while looking over her shoulder.
Katsuki scratched at his head as the phone rang. He picked it up, looking annoyed. "Yeah, what? If it's something lame, I'm hanging—"
"There are villains at the fishing harbor!" Mahoro shouted into the phone.
He looked at the receiver wide-eyed. "I know that voice. You're the kid from yesterday!" The twins looked up in surprise, knowing who he was talking about. "Well, nice try. But we're not falling for it this time, brat!"
"I'm not lying!" She insisted in a panicked voice, and that was enough for Izuku to snatch the receiver.
"Yes, hello? Hello, this is Deku!" He tried to listen to her.
"The hell?" Katsuki snarled while Izuka tried to hear.
"Shhhh, shut up!" She waved him off, but the call got cut off seconds later.
"…What did she tell you, Kacchan?" Izuku looked up, knowing that if it was Mahoro calling this time…it had to be serious.
