Angel: Would I pair off other characters together with OCs? Not really. For instance, I have no intention of shipping Momo or Izuku with anyone else besides Shoto and Ochaco respectively. I know that they haven't gotten much interactions, but also I just think that they have more things to focus on than romance in canon. Well, Ochaco is putting it off actively at least. When it comes to the ships in this particular anime, it can get…hectic from what I've seen in the fandom.
Hm, Sero, Shoji, and Tokoyami…the problem is that they don't tend to get much attention—well, Tokoyami I would argue gets more focus than the other two. I ship Tokoyami a bit with Tsuyu, they got along pretty well during their final exam. For Sero and Shoji, I don't really think I ship them with anyone. Maybe I would ship Sero with Camie just to be funny. Shoji, I can't really see him getting with anyone because he's, well, a minimalist. And plus I have a hard time remembering his personality in particular. Not to mention considering what I just said last chapter, the story would balloon in length because there's just so many characters.
Actually, I'm starting to just be like the author that he avoided shipping for the most part so that's the end of the discussion for me XD
Instantly after Mahoro cried out for help, something fast was heading for Nine. He looked back as Katsuki slid in, colliding with Nine in an explosion! Of course, Nine used an air shield to protect himself. "An explosion Quirk," He stared at the gauntlet.
"Found ya, damn villain!" Katsuki grinned, jumping backwards and landing safely.
The twins looked up happily to see him. "Kacchan...!" Izuku's eyes shook as he tried not to cry at the fact Katsuki was the first to save them. He then bent down to his sister in concern. "Are you okay?"
"We gotta help him..." She murmured, causing him to blink as she made her hand into a fist. "He can't face that guy alone..." Her lips quivered in a bit of worry for him. She didn't want to see him injured like she already did with her brother.
"It's the mean one," Katsuma looked at Katsuki wide-eyed.
"Bakugo?!" Mahoro shouted in shock to see him, but also awed at how fast he came.
"Alright, kids!" Katsuki glanced at them briefly with a big grin on his face. "Watch closely! Here's what it takes to become the number one hero!" He then caught sight of Izuka's bloodied state as she was fighting back the pain.
"At least let me give you first-aid..." Izuku stared at the girl in worry.
"We don't have time for that! Just help me up," She insisted to her little brother.
Katsuki's confident smirk slowly turned into a snarl upon seeing her. The thing he feared was now a reality, as he knew that she was fighting back the pain. Mahoro flinched at him getting mad just by looking at Izuka. He then whipped towards Nine and headed towards the villain using his explosions. "This is real strength! You're gonna be in a coffin in the next five seconds, you bastard!"
Nine held up his hand to block him, but Katsuki anticipated this. He jumped and held out his hand. "Gotcha!" Nine flung his arm to fire his finger lasers. Katsuki flung around to avoid them, but the last one managed to scrape his cheek just like with Izuku. He let out a grunt of pain. Nine held out his hand as his shield appeared, knocking Katsuki back onto the ground hard.
"Kacchan!" Izuku yelled while holding his side.
"Katsuki, no!" Izuka looked at him in a panic, both of them grunting in pain while trying to move.
"Damn it..." Katsuki growled as they looked up at their classmate.
"Be careful," Izuku warned while Mahoro and Katsuma looked at him in concern. "He has multiple Quirks at his disposal. And he can steal them!"
Katsuki gritted his teeth while looking up. "Well, that sure sounds familiar..."
"Katsuki, we don't know for sure. But if it is true, please be careful," Izuka's eyes softened at him and he glanced over his shoulder.
"It's too late for that. That bastard's gonna pay for what he did to y—never mind!" He shook his head rapidly to snap out of it, squeezing his eyes shut. Izuka blinked in confusion as she had no idea what he was talking about. Izuku glanced between her and Katsuki, wondering if it was because she was injured that Katsuki wanted to take him down. And not solely because Nine was a villain, which he knew Katsuki would be all for right now. "I guess I've got even more reason to take him down!" He opened his eyes and got onto his feet, moving his arms back. He then flew forward, gritting his teeth while dodging the lasers. "I've already seen your moves!" Once he got close enough, Nine put up another shield, but Katsuki used that moment to slide around the villain. Nine turned back, about to protect himself when Katsuki swung around to strike. He then swung his arm back, looking up with a smirk. "No way they're gonna stop me again!"
Suddenly, something long and blue shot out of the ground below Katsuki to ensnare him. The twins gasped sharply at this new ability that they hadn't seen until now. It was coming out of Nine's back as Izuka looked up with dread.
"KATSUKI!" She cried out at this as Nine clenched a fist, sending Katsuki into the ground hard. He was trapped underneath the long blue spine, grunting in pain.
I think he just...broke my ribs!
Izuku slowly straightened up after seeing this. Izuka let out a growl as she kneeled, her body shaking. Stand up! They both willed themselves while glaring towards Nine. Izuka herself had tears streaming down her face as she stared at Katsuki. Help him!
I can't continue to watch this without doing something for him...! Izuka squeezed her eyes shut. Despite everything...every single thing he used to put her through...she wasn't enjoying this at all. Even if sometimes her old self wanted him to feel pain...she didn't ask or want for this ever. Because deep down...she cared about him a lot.
"You just won't stop barking," Nine clenched his fist harder to make it more painful for Katsuki.
"Shut your face!" Katsuki growled back at him, pointing his hand at Nine. "And eat this!" He fired off a huge blast to engulf Nine, who used his shield to hold it back. "Do something, Deku and Callista!"
Izuku headed for Nine, Izuka flying after her brother. Nine looked up at the both of them with a gasp, raising his hands.
Detroit... Izuku gritted his teeth while preparing himself.
Solar Comet... Izuka swung back her arm as her comet appeared, Nine throwing down his hands.
Smash!
Burst!
The sky suddenly got darker to make a tornado, and lightning struck down towards them. Before the twins could even attack, they and Katsuki were all shocked by the lightning attack. They all let out sounds of pain from being electrocuted, the power lines emitting some as well.
Eijiro noticed from the shopping center what was happening, and it wasn't a good sign.
"Hey...what's happening now?" He asked in alarm as the power started to go out on the entire island.
"The city's going dark!" The Mayor looked up in shock, along with other citizens and UA students.
"A blackout?" Mina frowned while gasping, looking around. And soon, the whole island was dark.
Nine stopped his attack, leaving Izuka, Izuku, and Katsuki all unconscious on the ground. "Now then..." He turned around to Mahoro and Katsuma. She was hugging her little brother tightly. The two shook while crying, whimpering in fear. Nine was suddenly stopped in place, looking down to see the three hanging onto his legs to prevent him from moving.
"I'll stop...you..." Izuku gritted his teeth, none of them looking up.
"Yeah...this fight isn't done...so face us!" Katsuki growled out to the villain.
"I don't care what happens to me...but don't turn your back on us!" Izuka snarled while shaking, trying to keep her hold on him. Without looking, Katsuki reached out to grab her hand to ensure she could hold onto Nine. She squeezed his hand back tight so that she wouldn't dare let go.
"No! No, please!" Katsuma stood up with dread as the three would get seriously hurt if they continued fighting. And he didn't want to see that happen.
"Bakugo..." Mahoro whimpered while getting onto her feet. Nine sent out a huge air shield to knock the three backwards.
"Heroes can be such a nuisance..." Nine murmured while watching the trio slide onto the grass. Just as he turned around to the kids, he felt something tremor within his body. It was as if something was fighting against him. He hugged himself to bear through it, gasping sharply. Izuku opened his eyes, noticing this.
Is he...in pain? Why?
Izuka slowly moved up her head, unable to stop shaking. Is he trying to handle all those Quirks, but his body can't handle it?
Slice suddenly jumped in from above. "Nine!" She landed and kneeled to help him. "Deep breaths."
"I need...the boy," Nine pointed towards Katsuma.
"Understood," Slice got onto her feet, ready to grab him. Her hair moved around and then hardened. Mahoro hugged her brother as their lips quivered. "It would be wise not to struggle."
A bunch of birds came swooping in, surrounding the kids. Mezo ran in and grabbed them. "Don't worry, I'm a friend," He reassured the two.
"Come on! Quick!" Koji waved them forward and led the way.
Ochaco touched Izuku's waist with her Quirk. "Now, Tsu!" She shouted while touching Izuka's head. Tsuyu grabbed Katsuki by the waist with her tongue, all of them making their escape. The birds disappeared soon after, Slice seeing them getting away. Her hair went back to normal.
"Follow them...get that child," Nine ordered through a raspy voice. "He's the key to our plan..."
"There's no way for them to leave the island," She reminded, her eyes softening. Plus she didn't want to grab Katsuma with his body reacting the way it was. She couldn't take the chance if something happened while he tried to take the Quirk with his spasms. "Take a break and let your body recover."
She held up a flare gun and fired. Chimera saw it going off, as it was a signal to retreat. "Well," He turned towards Hanta, Tenya, Fumikage, and Shoto. All of them were breathing heavily as their bodies were scrapped thanks to the fight. "Guess you get to stay alive this time."
Shoto gritted his teeth and gasped as he watched Chimera jumping away from them. "He's running?" Hanta stared at the villain in confusion. He figured that a creature like him would've stayed to kill them...
"I believe it's more accurate to say he's letting us go," Fumikage corrected his classmate.
Shoto immediately tried to go after Chimera. "He's mine!"
"Don't," Tenya stopped him by putting a hand on his shoulder. "For all we know, this could be a trap. Besides, you can't go after him alone. The four of us couldn't even take him down together."
"Yeah, but-"
"We have to make sure the islanders are safe," Tenya reminded him, and his tone suggested that if Shoto went off by himself, the class rep would stop him. He already knew it was a death sentence to go after someone like Chimera. And he was implementing the lesson he learned in Hosu when he went after the Hero Killer on his own. "That's part of our job as heroes."
Shoto looked towards the sand in defeat as he unfortunately had to agree with his friend...
