Angel: I got an explanation as to why some people insist on more romance, which is that characters take too long to recognize it. And that in other shows, they don't give them a romantic pairing like in Winx Club. Okay.
But I still fucking hate the insistence, though, and I hate having to reiterate this. So I really want those messages to stop.
Not to mention, if you want more romance from more characters, then a superhero anime-a SUPERHERO anime-is probably not the right one to look for if you want that. And I can't stress that enough that romance is not the main genre of the anime, which focuses on teenagers trying to become heroes, not gain romantic partners. Go check out actual romantic anime for that. Or just go find stories that you'll find that more in with My Hero Academia in general. Don't come to me complaining that more characters need romance when it's not even the main focus, please. Sorry that the creator of the anime didn't make this a romance anime! What else am I supposed to say to this that I haven't already? This story, or any story in general, isn't the place to insist that more shows need to have romantic pairings with characters who don't get them, which...they don't. Not ALL shows have romance, and I'd argue that my Owl House story has the most romance. Check that out if you want more OC romances, there's at least 3 of them. Plus the argument that characters take too long to recognize it, if that's what the creator intended, then that's the whole freaking point. I'm not immune to this either, Bakuza is the longest amount of time I've built up a relationship because that's what I want. So, write the story yourself if you're that unsatisfied with other shows and how they handle romance to the guest reviews that keep telling me more characters need a romance, which they do not. Not to mention that I can ship whatever characters I want regardless of the insistence.
The city was in flames, and with the area in that state along with no power, all of the residents and UA students had to hide in a shelter away from the island. Luckily, it had backup electricity, but it wasn't long-lasting. Kyoka frowned while holding supplies. She looked towards Momo and Denki in concern. Momo was creating necessities with her Quirk while Denki was trying to charge up a bunch of batteries to make sure the residents had everything they needed. "You're using your powers way too much, you guys."
"Because we have no idea when the villains will be back," Momo stated in a bit of pain while making something from her back.
"If I don't charge these now, I won't get to," Denki grunted out, looking up as he was reaching his limit. "Uh-oh..."
"Your brain's already fried!"
Dark Shadow was escorting people to several stations such as food and blankets for warmth. Mashirao and Eijiro were serving soup. "Here you go."
"Thank you so much," The man walked away gratefully.
"Be careful, it's pretty hot," Eijiro held out a bowl to a woman.
"One per person, please!" Yuga struck a pose while surrounded by eggs.
"That way, there's plenty for everyone!" Toru exclaimed to someone passing by.
Tenya looked towards a pretty packed room with people for eating and sleeping. He gave a concerned look, knowing that they couldn't hide up here forever...they all had homes in need of repair that they couldn't go back to. But this was all they could do if they wanted everyone to be safe...the last thing they wanted to do was leave the residents unattended should the villains look for them.
"What if the villains attack here next?" The mayor walked up to him in worry.
"There's no need to be concerned. If that happens, I promise, we'll do our best to protect you," Tenya gave him a reassuring smile, wanting the mayor to let the students worry about that. Just like regular heroes would...
Mina, Tsuyu, and Koji were on food prep along with some citizens that were helping them out. Hanta walked in with vegetables. "It's a good thing there are so many vegetables on the island," Tsuyu looked up gratefully; if they hadn't found them, they wouldn't be able to feed everyone.
"What did they do with the villain we captured?" Mina wondered, hoping that he was secured away from the others.
"Oh," Hanta realized who Mina was talking about. "He's chained up in the basement boiler room. But he refuses to talk. Hasn't said a word." Mummy was currently being monitored and his hands were chained up so that he couldn't use them. Thankfully, some police from the island were able to provide the restraints. But Mummy was certainly not about to reveal anything to them about Nine or their plans.
Ochaco opened up a door with a frown on her face. "I brought food," She announced while Shoto and Mezo were helping tend to the injured. "How are Deku, Mido, and Bakugo doing?"
"They haven't regained consciousness," Shoto frowned deeply towards them. He wished he could've been there to help out his classmates if he wasn't so focused on Chimera...he couldn't imagine what they had been through to face Nine all by themselves.
"Not yet. The doctors from the clinic are doing everything they can to heal them," Mezo looked up at the corner, where the three were laying. One doctor had her hand on Izuku's stomach and Izuka's neck to heal them both. Izuku had bandages wrapped around his upper body and shoulders, and one on his cheek. Katsuki was the exact same, and so was Izuka, but the main difference was that she had the one injured shoulder bandaged. The second doctor was focusing solely on Katsuki.
"Thanks for all your hard work," Ochaco bent down to the three gratefully.
"I apologize," The male doctor looked up at the brunette. "Our powers have helped us close their wounds, but I'm afraid that's all we can manage. We can't do anything for their broken bones."
"They need to be taken to the hospital on the main island," The female doctor informed the three students. Ochaco was the most upset as she, Mezo, and Shoto looked down at the three in worry. They were dreading this because the three were the most injured out of everyone else...but how were they going to take them to the hospital with the island basically in ruins? Not to mention that their injuries would take a long time to heal even if they managed to make it there. Unfortunately, no one from Class 1-A was a healer, and they didn't have anyone like Recovery Girl on the island...
"Can I try something?"
Ochaco gasped from a voice, she, Mezo, and Shoto turning around to the doorway. Mahoro was holding her brother's shoulders as he looked towards the trio with a frown. "Katsuma..."
"He might be able to help," Mahoro spoke up, sounding serious. "His Quirk is Cell Activation. We're not really sure if it can be used to heal injuries, though." They never tried to use it to heal injuries because their lives were more casual with no villains beforehand. And the boy believed that his Quirk wouldn't do much to begin with. So Katsuma never tested it on anyone until now; not helped by the fact that his sister discouraged him from being a hero.
"They were hurt because of us!" Katsuma moved away from his sister's grip, to her shock. "I can't just let them suffer like this! Please!" He felt guilty that the three were fighting so hard to protect him and his sister, and he felt like he had to do something to help them. Especially when all three had arrived when he wanted them to multiple times...that he had to do the same for them.
Everyone stared at him in silence, the three students feeling like...this was something the twins would do. So they couldn't just turn him away. Shoto, Ochaco, and Mezo all smiled gratefully at the boy, as they could sense he wanted to do the right thing. They could see how much he admired them.
"I'd appreciate your help, little Katsu," The male doctor gestured to the three injured students.
"Thanks!" He ran over to the trio, sitting on Izuka's stomach to his slight embarrassment. He then blinked as he realized something.
"Oh, I know!" Izuka reached behind her back and then when she opened up her palm, a small floating white star appeared. He gasped at it as she smiled, putting it into his pocket. "That way, you'll have a little extra something to hold onto. So that you remember what we told you, okay?"
"This might help Callista!" He reached into his overall pocket, holding up the shooting star she gave him. The others looked at it in awe. "Stars can be reborn, right? What if it could fix her broken bones if put back into her body?"
Ochaco glanced up at Shoto and Mezo, knowing that Izuka hadn't ever tried it before. And it was speculation on whether or not it would work. But...she had faith that it would because she wanted one of her best friends to be okay. She nodded silently for him to go ahead and Katsuma gently let the star fall into Izuka's chest. They watched as it disappeared into her chest slowly, but there was no reaction yet. He then touched the arms of Izuku and Katsuki, green coming from his hands. I need to save them! No...I WILL save them! He gave a determined look as the star glowed a little from Izuka's chest.
It was pouring rain now as the villains also had taken shelter. Nine was laying down in bed to sleep, Slice looking after him. The door opened and she looked up to see Chimera walking in. "How's the recovery going?"
"He's doing well. I expect that he'll be awake within the next few hours," She reported and then realized something. "Where's Mummy?"
"You haven't seen him either?" Chimera then gritted his teeth in anger. "Don't tell me the heroes got him!"
"Course not," She got onto her feet, knowing that Mummy was capable of handling heroes. Chimera then frowned towards Nine.
"Even if they did...we stick to the plan. It has to work. No matter what."
Thunder struck from above, a village on fire. Chimera looked up at the storm as it was Nine's doing. "You! Why did you save me?" He demanded as the people were about to attack him, but Nine had prevented it.
"I want you to join my cause," He stated, earning only silence. "Together, we will destroy this unbalanced society, that labeled you a monster and a villain." Chimera gasped sharply as he felt like he could get revenge for those that ridiculed him for his appearance. "We will create a world ruled by the truly powerful. Where your strength is revered."
And so, he recruited Chimera, Slice, and Mummy to join his cause. "You're joining the League of Villains?" Chimera asked in shock while the three watched Nine create a tornado.
"Strictly speaking...I'm donating my body to the League's Quirk-enhancing experiments."
"I get it, you're just using them," Mummy deduced, since they could help with Nine's situation.
"That's too dangerous!" Slice warned as they had heard about the League. Chances were that Shigaraki wouldn't work with them and probably kill them. They heard what he did to Overhaul, after all. And they knew about what the League had done as well.
Nine coughed and kneeled, moving away his hand to reveal blood. "It must be done. We need even greater power than we currently have," He looked over his shoulder as he wasn't going to argue or back down. Not if it meant reaching his goal.
Nine... Chimera looked down at him in worry. We bet everything on you. Don't you dare die on us.
A buzzer went off while experiments were everywhere. The evil doctor affiliated with the League gasped sharply, giggling in delight. He then waved his fingers as he stared at Nine in the life-support machine. "Brilliant! You're compatible with All for One's Quirk! Now you have the ability to steal 8 more! Along with your own, that allows you to wield 9 different powers!"
Nine looked up at him after the experiment. "The experiment was a success," He reported to his group, after the car chase between the League and the heroes.
"With this, our plan can move forward," Chimera noted as the others looked up.
"However...the side effects have gotten worse," He revealed, to their shock. "Using my Quirks too much results in the destruction of my body's cellular tissue."
"That means..."
"There was no point in you becoming a lab rat!" Chimera snarled towards the leader angrily. If he hadn't done this to himself, his body wouldn't be reacting that way.
"All I need to do is steal a Cell Activation Quirk," Nine informed as he didn't seem concerned at all. Chimera gritted his teeth at the person who saved him essentially throwing his life away. And he was just supposed to act like he was okay with it. "Then..." He turned towards Nabu Island. "We can create the world we desire..."
