Angel: To MissLiss who told me she doesn't want changes, THANK YOU XD I shouldn't have to deal with it at this point in the story because any major changes would take up more time that I don't have.
The residents were all asleep in the cramped bedroom at night. Almost everyone else had gone to bed aside from everyone in Class 1-A and the kids. Mahoro looked down at Katsuki, Izuka, and Izuku in concern as they still hadn't woken up. Katsuma was still trying to heal them while the glow was starting to fade from Izuka's chest. "Katsuma, you should rest a little bit," She looked at her little brother in concern, as his eyes were exhausted.
"I can't," He shook his head in determination. "I'm not done yet."
"You're tired," She reached out a hand.
"I can push through it!" Katsuma insisted, earning a gasp. I can't just stop now. He remembered how much the three willed themselves to hold back Nine to protect his sister and himself. So he had to do this to repay them. A hero never gives up! Suddenly, a green glow surrounded the boys as Izuka's star glowed bright, causing her hair to fly around as the yellow glow surrounded her. The two gasped sharply from the sights. Izuku flinched, his face moving. "Mr. Deku! Ms. Callista!"
"Bakugo..." Mahoro murmured as Katsuki was moving a little too.
"Mm..." Izuka's finger twitched, the two kids opening their mouths that Katsuma ended up being right.
"Here's the current situation," Tenya was in a room with the rest of the class in a private meeting. "Communications are down, and the electrical grid is destroyed. We can't call for help."
Momo sat up from a couch, having taken a rest. "I made a drone earlier. It'll send an SOS message once it's close to the mainland," She explained, Kyoka looking over to her in concern. "But the flight is at least six hours. Plus, even after someone come across it, the heroes will need time to assemble and travel to us."
"In the meantime," Mashirao spoke up with a small frown. "I doubt the villains are gonna sit around and wait."
"Right now, our top priority is to protect the people of the island," As Tenya was speaking, Katsuma stood in the doorway. He ran up, but Mezo stopped him, Mahoro running in as well. Mezo gestured for them to be quiet. "If that means fighting villains, then so be it."
"Yeah, but how?" Rikido pointed out, a bandage over his head. Minoru was the same since his head was bleeding.
"The one guy beat up the Midoriyas and Bakugo so much, that they almost didn't survive!" The shorter boy cried out, holding his head. Part of him was worried he wouldn't be able to keep admiring Izuka if she was dead...
"Four of us took on the beast, and that wasn't enough," Shoto pointed out to them.
"And our numbers are dropping," Kyoka looked over to Denki still having a dopey face. "Yao-momo and Kaminari both used up a lot of their Quirks already."
"Yay..." Denki gave two thumbs up.
"We know there are at least three villains left," Tsuyu tapped her chin in thought. "But there could be more..."
"If they attack us together, we probably don't stand a chance," Eijiro frowned towards Mina.
"It would help if we knew what the villains are after..." Tenya murmured in thought, as they didn't attack without reason. And unfortunately, the twins or Katsuki wouldn't be able to elaborate for them...
"Mhm," Ochaco nodded her head a bit sadly, still concerned about her unconscious classmates. "Then we could come up with a plan."
"Uh!" Katsuma flinched as he remembered something.
"I'm going to steal your Quirk," Nine declared to Katsuma when he found them.
He then ran up to speak. Mahoro gasped and grabbed his arm, shaking her head no. She absolutely didn't want to risk her brother's life by using him as bait. He frowned as he turned away, knowing that if the villains knew he was here, everyone would be in danger...but he wanted to help as he ran up regardless. "No, don't!" She quietly warned him.
"I know what the villains are after," He spoke up meekly to the students. "It's me!"
Everyone looked up in confusion, aside from Denki. "What did you say?" Tenya questioned him in bewilderment.
"That bad guy said he wanted to steal my Quirk!"
"So," Fumikage straightened up after hearing this. "It's power theft."
"He has the same Quirk as All for One," Tsuyu realized with a frown.
"Okay, at least we know why they're here!" Ochaco frowned deeply, clenching her fists.
"We can just, like, take the boy and run away," Mina suggested, as they could trap the villains with Katsuma.
"It's not going to be that easy," Shoto spoke up, getting their attention as he stood up. "These guys are serious. What if they start making threats? They could end up killing somebody if we don't hand him over." Nine already seriously injured three of their strongest students without a scratch on him, he didn't want the villain to resort to murdering them or an innocent person.
"So what are we supposed to do?" Minoru wondered while Katsuma looked at the ground. He squeezed his eyes shut as he looked up, knowing that he'd be saving lives if he sacrificed himself.
"You have to hand me over to the villains!"
"What?" Ochaco opened her mouth, all of them conflicted as they didn't want to do it.
"He said he wouldn't kill me, and it's fine if I end up losing my Quirk! As long as it means everyone on the island is safe!"
Tenya gasped at his statement, all of them in shock that he would offer himself like this...
"No, we can't do that," Izuku spoke up as he walked in, Katsuma looking back at him. Ochaco stood up in relief to see him. He still had a bandage on his cheek, but his broken bones were all healed.
"Deku!"
"Midoriya! You're okay!" Tenya was also relieved to see him standing.
"Katsuma," Izuka stepped in next, bending down to him and holding his shoulders. Her injuries were completely healed. "Don't give up your life. I won't allow someone to make themselves Quirkless if there's another way!"
Ochaco and Momo gasped happily to see her as well. "Mido!" The two exclaimed with happy tears in their eyes.
"Mido! You're alright as well!" Tenya looked at her wide-eyed.
The two nodded in unison, and then smiled towards the little boy. "And it's all thanks to Katsuma's power."
"Not with my Quirk," Katsuma looked towards the ground. "It's no good for hero stuff..."
Izuku bent down to them as well. "You can activate cells! It speeds up regeneration," He smiled down at his hands. "And enhances physical performance! Thanks to your Quirk, I recovered super quickly!" Katsuma let out a light gasp. "You have an amazing ability, Katsuma! I'm so grateful!"
"And it was pretty smart to remember stars and their rebirth," Izuka smiled, ruffling the top of Katsuma's head. "Thanks to you holding onto that, it helped me gain my physical strength and body back!" She grinned widely at him. "I'll never forget what you did, I didn't even think about what it could do applied back into my body when not used in an attack!"
Katsuma tried not to cry while looking up at them. "You really mean it...?"
"We're not gonna let anything scary happen to you. That's the whole reason we came to this island, right?" Izuku gave a big smile, catching everyone off guard.
"Why are you losers so on edge?" Katsuki was leaning against the doorway. "All we gotta do is capture some stupid villains, right?"
"Bakugo!" Eijiro exclaimed as Tsuyu gasped in surprise.
The twins turned around to face him in silence. "If you have mutual respect, and focus on making one another stronger...you'll become the ultimate heroes. And all of your dreams will be achieved." Katsuki straightened up to look back at them, all of them remembering what Toshinori told them. It felt like he was right there in the room even though he probably didn't know what was happening currently. "You can win and save people at the same time while holding respect for each other!"
Izuku closed his eyes, taking that to heart. He then smiled down at Katsuma and Mahoro. "Don't worry. We'll protect you two!"
"Mmhm!" Izuka clenched a fist, smiling. "You can put your faith in us, guys! We won't let you down."
Katsuki smacked his fists together, a flame coming from his hands. "The villains are as good as dead!"
"And we'll keep everyone else on the island safe too!" Izuku declared, Mahoro and Katsuma looking at them in admiration. To them, the three were definitely already heroes in their eyes. And with the three, the two felt like they could do anything.
"Obviously we'll win!" Katsuki stated confidently and Izuka sighed a little, smiling.
"Don't forget that we have to work together too, you know," She gave a small shrug. "That's just as important."
"Yeah, yeah," Katsuki dismissed while glancing towards her. He was internally glad that she was okay, but he wished he didn't have to see her in the state that he did.
"I agree with all of you," Shoto stepped up first. "I'll help however I can!"
"Me too!" Ochaco declared, remembering when the islanders made food for them. "I'll protect the people with everything I've got!" She turned around to the others with a determined smile. "We have to fight!"
"Ochaco..." Izuka blinked while stepping up to her best friend, giving her a side hug. "Thank you!" Ochaco smiled too while hugging her back.
"Heck yeah!" Denki got onto his feet with a big grin. "I can't fix Mr. Matsuda's tractor if he's not around!"
"You can count me in!" Tenya smiled while standing up as well. "Granny Sato still has plenty of years left of her."
"I've got your backs!" Eijiro grinned, clenching a fist.
"Me too," Fumikage gave a small nod.
"Awesome!" Kyoka gestured to herself with a grin.
"Let's stop 'em!" Toru declared, clenching her fists.
"I'm in!" Hanta grinned while getting up.
"Yeah!" Mashirao nodded at the others.
"Um, obvi!" Mina struck a pose with a grin.
"Ribbit!" Tsuyu agreed, her tongue going back into her mouth.
"Let's do this, you guys!" Minoru screamed while standing on his chair.
"I know we can!" Koji encouraged to his class.
"Moi aussi!"
"We're heroes, right?" Rikido asked as Mahoro and Katsuma looked at all of them with hope. Katsuki, Izuka, and Izuku all smiled at their class.
"We'll overcome the impossible," Mezo stated as the two kids smiled at each other.
"It's just like we always say," Momo walked up to Tenya.
"We are going to go beyond," Tenya smiled as he and Momo clenched their fists.
"PLUS ULTRA!" Everyone shouted in unison while cheering. Izuka smiled and walked out of the room while everyone was talking excitedly. Katsuki flinched as he noticed and walked after her. Mahoro blinked as she saw them leave, peeking into the hallway.
"Hey!"
Izuka flinched as she sighed knowingly, closing her eyes. She placed her hands on her hips, shaking her head. "What is it this time? You're pissed because I lost or because I got hurt?" He stormed up to her and Mahoro yelped, shaking in fear. "I know it was bad, but-"
He grabbed her wrist, pulling her to face him. She blinked as his hair was hiding his eyes as they hardened a little.
"How many times have I told you to not let yourself get beaten by a villain?" He growled a little as she blinked, wondering what was going on through his head... "Don't ever look like that again during a fight or else-"
"Don't do what?! Fight for my life?" She narrowed her eyes as he froze, his eyes wide. "No matter what villain comes my way, whether you like it or not, I'll always fight, and you can't stop me. And I don't regret that fight. I would do it again if it meant I can depend on you for help." Her lip quivered in a bit of fear of what he would say and he was silent as he released her.
"You know what, why did I expect you to care? You were so...I thought...I was..." He then looked up at his eyes were sad. "I thought you were gonna die, Izuka. Like with All for One."
She looked at him wide-eyed as she realized that she was in the same situation as the Kamino Incident with All for One...and now with Nine being just like him...Katsuki was scared again that he was gonna lose her to Nine when he saw her injuries. And he felt like he couldn't do anything to prevent it, and...she understood now why he didn't want her to fight. Because he thought that she didn't care about whether or not she lived or died.
"Katsuki..." She murmured sadly as she didn't know if anything she said would make it better. She faltered as she tried to think of something, but couldn't. And so, she lunged forward and hugged him tight. He looked at her wide-eyed before he hugged her neck and waist, hiding his face into her shoulder. He could tell by her action that she didn't mean to do that to him.
Even if I was a thousand miles away... He gripped her clothing tighter to savor the hug. I've saved you countless times, and I'll continue to save you, hero or not. Even if there's nothing of me left.
Mahoro blinked slowly at the two of them, wondering what their relationship was to each other...
