Angel: I know that this OVA takes place between Hosu and the Finals, but I didn't know where, so I'm placing it right before the finals start. These OVAs can be tricky to pin down, especially in the order they're released. Also, this is one of the OVAs that the dialogue is mostly the same in terms of subbed version because it seems to be in character this time, though I can't say for sure.
As for when Izuka will find out about her DNA, it'll happen. But she's got exams to focus on. No, she doesn't find out in this OVA. And the Zodiac thing is similar to what she unlocks in the future, but those aren't what she gets specifically.
On a pond, a frog was on a lily pad, minding its own business. Tsuyu gave a small smile.
My name is Tsuyu Asui. This spring, I'm going to be a UA student. First, I'll introduce my family. My father, Ganma. My mother, Beru. My little brother Samidare and my little sister, Satsuki! As you can see, we're a very froggy family!
Like Tsuyu, the rest of her family had frog-like characteristics. And as the oldest sister, that left her to take care of her siblings. She was cooking dinner for them in the kitchen while they watched TV, wearing an apron.
Our parents had to travel a lot for their jobs, so I was the one that took care of my siblings.
Samidare and Satsuki were watching an All Might interview while drawing. "Sis, is dinner ready yet?" Samidare called out while looking back at her.
"I'm almost done," She looked over her shoulder.
"Is it beef?" Satsuki didn't turn around either.
"Pasta," Tsuyu answered, and then presented their food to them. It looked like pesto pasta with tomatoes and greens.
It's a hard, but satisfying life. Still...
"Asui always goes home right away..." One of her classmates murmured as they watched Tsuyu take off. "I can't tell what she's thinking all the time."
"Her expressions never change either..." Another one murmured nearby. "Is it because she's a frog?"
'With hero studies taking up even more of my time...I wasn't able to make any friends.' She kept a neutral face while walking home from middle school. 'But during all that...one girl started following me around.'
Tsuyu turned around to see a red-haired student from her school watching her. And she wasn't being too secretive about it either considering that she was hiding behind a pole. She had snake-like features and messy red hair.
'Her name was Habuko Mongoose. She was always alone too.' Habuko's eyes shined at Tsuyu, which was not something abnormal. 'Sometimes she would suddenly use her 3-second Paralysis Stare Quirk.' Tsuyu fainted from the sight of the Quirk being put to use. 'Other times she would start flicking her tongue at me. It was a little scary, I'll admit.'
Tsuyu was walking home as Habuko was staring at her again. 'But...after a while, I started to understand.' The green-haired girl came to a stop...and for once, turned around to face Habuko. 'So I built up some courage...and spoke to her.'
Tsuyu stared at her for a couple of seconds and then placed a finger on her chin. "Do you want to...be friends?"
"You stupid frog!" Hakubo yelled at her immediately, causing her hair to fly. "I'm just some evil and nasty monster! What do you mean, be friends?! Friends are supposed to be chosen! A person like me...being friends with...friends with..." Her eyes glistened as it was the first time someone ever asked her to be friends. Usually, they would just stay clear of her, hence why she tended to keep to herself. She then leapt forward and hugged Tsuyu. "Can I call you...Tsuyu-Chan...?"
"Sure," Tsuyu wheezed a bit from the tight hug, but returned it. "Call me Tsuyu-Chan."
Habuko whimpered in happiness while continuing to hug her. 'She was a socially awkward girl. We ended up going to different high schools, but Habuko-Chan and I kept in contact.'
Tsuyu walked down the halls of UA, hearing a few beeps from her phone. She looked at the picture of Habuko looking happy with her friends at her school, along with a message. 'Hey, Tsuyu-chan! Are you doing well? I already made some friends since starting high school! I'll introduce you next time!'
Tsuyu smiled happily with a small blush on her face. I'll make sure to make plenty of friends too!
As the internships under the pro heroes ended, and with all of us back at school, we were ready to resume our ordinary lives. Or so we thought.
While we were getting towards final exams, and getting over the Hosu incident, we had a surprise one day in class.
Katsuki looked bored, Izuku looked a bit surprised, and Minoru looked excited for some reason. Izuka looked up from her sketchbook while Momo kept her eyes forward. "It's a little sudden, but for our next hero exercise, four hero students from Isami High School will be joining us today as special guests," Mr. Aizawa spoke as he was standing near four students, two boys and two girls. One student was hiding behind a girl, not too different from how Izuka reacted before starting UA.
"Welcome to Class 1-A!" Most of the other students cheered at this.
Minoru shook Izuku from behind, shocking Momo. "She's a glasses girl! All of the nerdy girls tend to be hot!"
Mineta is getting way too excited about this... Izuku gave a sheepish look, Izuka glancing at the two. She pinched her nose, sighing slowly.
Denki slid over to the girl in glasses with a smile, holding his phone. "Hey pretty girl, can I get a number?"
She slid away nervously because an earphone jack plugged into his ear. He gave a shout of pain. Kyoka looked away in a bit of annoyance while Eijiro and Hanta laughed. "Dammit, stop showing off your stupidity, Kaminari."
Mr. Aizawa gave a scary look and everyone immediately stopped talking. He then turned to the four guests. "Introduce yourselves to the students."
"O-of course," The girl with glasses stammered a bit nervously. "We'll be attending the exercise with you today. We're from the hero course in Isami High School. I'm Kashiko Sekigai," She gave a small smile while some of the boys gave looks of awe.
"Same class," A boy with large hands wiped at his cheek with a cloth. "I'm Dadan Tadan," He then bowed his head. "Pleasure to meet you."
"I'm Fujimi," The one with a snarl on his face stated. He actually seemed similar to a particular student... He then glanced towards Katsuki, who looked up in confusion. Fujimi then narrowed his eyes at Izuka, who froze a bit while dropping her pencil. For some reason, she felt really intimidated right now by this boy and she had an inkling of why...
It's highly likely that they watched the Sports Festival and know about our Quirks...
Tsuyu eyed the person hiding behind Kashiko. "We're supposed to have one more..." Mr. Aizawa murmured in confusion and then Habuko herself came out of hiding. Tsuyu flinched and Habuko gasped, reacting the same way. They stared at each other wide-eyed before hugging each other.
"Tsuyu-Chan!"
"Habuko-Chan!"
"Is she a friend of Tsu's?" Ochaco smiled a little.
"I'm getting a little nervous..." Izuku murmured while staring at the two, since...the two animals their Quirks were based around weren't exactly friendly...in fact, snakes preyed on frogs, so he was a little concerned about their friendship. "This shouldn't happen in nature..."
"Izuku!" Izuka swatted his arm a little, leaning towards his ear. "Just because she looks that way doesn't mean they can't be friends."
"You're right, sorry," He gave a nervous laugh, rubbing the back of his neck.
"Mongoose!" Fujimi glanced over his shoulder with that same glare. "Don't get all nice and friendly with these UA punks. Especially that one," He looked towards Izuka, who recoiled back in surprise. "She's way too inept to waste your time on." She sweat dropped a little with wide eyes for his comment. It wasn't exactly a new feeling given what happened before the Sports Festival...
"What did you just say?!" Katsuki yelled and then stood up, clenching a fist. "You Isami shit!"
Izuku flinched in alarm, leaning in a bit. "Stop it, Kacchan!"
"Shut up, you damn nerd!" He shouted at Izuku, who anxiously held up his hands.
"Don't talk to him like that," Izuka narrowed her eyes and he whipped around to her.
"You shut it too, short stack!" The blond yelled in her face, her hair flying.
"Why don't you knock it off, Bakugo? Unless you wanna clean up the classroom again after punching Monoma," Mr. Aizawa threatened and Katsuki gritted his teeth in defeat. The bell then rang for class to end. "It's time to go. Change into your costumes and make your way to Ground Omega," He jerked a thumb behind him. Fujimi and Katsuki glared daggers at each other. "Ida, guide the Isami students."
The twins gave nervous looks, as they could tell Fujimi was Isami's Katsuki... "Understood!" Tenya answered while Izuka placed a weary hand on her head. She and Katsuki were...not getting along currently, to say the least. She just knew that after they got back from internships, he wasn't taking her progress well...
"Ah! I knew it!" Ochaco smiled in the women's changing room. "You two went to the same middle school," She glanced to Tsuyu and Habuko. Both of them were holding hands.
"Yes, we were very good friends," She answered, though Habuko's appearance did alarm Ochaco, Toru, and Mina.
"I-Is that right?" Mina stammered a bit in terror.
"I can't help but feel uneasy around her..." Ochaco whispered to the two.
"Come on, at least Tsu-chan had a friend back then. She goes straight home from school, remember?" Izuka turned to the two. Tsuyu sometimes asked her about what recipes to make her siblings, since Izuka was the only other female classmate to have a sibling. Izuku was the same age, but she could still empathize with Tsuyu about having to shoulder that type of responsibility.
"So you're the class president?" Momo asked Kashiko while tying up her hair.
"Yes," Kashiko smiled while adjusting her boots, looking away in embarrassment. "But it's a stressful thing to take on...because of a troublesome student that you can tell from the get-go who that is..."
"Well..." Momo gave a knowing look. "We've got the exact same problem, too..."
Katsuki and Fujimi were death glaring at each other in the locker room for the boys. And it was very intense to say the least. "A delinquent as the top student? UA seems to have gone downhill...even more so when they added an extra student to have 41 instead of 40 in the hero course."
"I dare you to say that last part again, Isami shit!" Katsuki growled at him.
"What I'm saying is that I don't like you!" Fujimi declared while Minoru, Izuku, Hanta, and Koji all looked terrified for their lives. "I don't like how you're looking down on me just because you're in UA! Or that you're even defending that girl when we both know she doesn't belong here!"
"Stop them, Midoriya...!" Minoru pleaded to him while shaking.
"It's...not something I don't think I should be involved in..." Izuku murmured, knowing that if he or anyone else intervened, they might get killed...
"If you're gonna start a fight, then start a fight you can actually win! And you're really gonna shit-talk someone you don't even know? I oughta kill you right now!" Katsuki gritted his teeth in anger and Izuku noticed that this was the second time in just 5 minutes that Katsuki had stood up for Izuka. Something he wouldn't be caught dead doing unless something had changed.
Is he doing this because of how Izuka took off to Hosu? Or because...he really wants to defend her?
"We'll prove it to you in this exercise that we are the superior ones!" Fujimi bragged to the blond. "And is she your girlfriend or something? Ah...that makes sense. I'm sure she requires a superior man rather than someone like you."
"What the hell?! Come at me!" Katsuki snarled at him angrily.
"Settle down, Bakugo!" Tenya came up from behind.
"We're so sorry for him!" Dadan continued wiping his face. "Fujimi says a lot of nasty things, but he's not a bad person at heart..."
"We apologize too," Tenya bowed his head. "Our own has trouble with admitting that he's usually in the wrong. Or that deep down, he actually cares for Mido as we call Izuka Midoriya."
"Huh?!" Katsuki whipped around in anger.
I hope nothing else bad happens in this exercise... Izuku stared at him nervously.
"That boy, Bakugo, right?" Kashiko looked towards Izuka, who glanced up while putting on her skirt. "He seems really invested in standing up for you against Fujimi. And I'm really sorry that he's targeting you..."
"It's alright, it's not the first time that's happened to me..." Izuka looked away in a bit of annoyance. "Although if we're being honest, Bakugo-San is an enigma all on his own. I'm not really sure what he's trying to do here..." The first thing that came to mind was when he comforted her, but at the same time, he acted much different then. Here, it could have something to do with how she was progressing in school, but she wondered why he was even bothering if he wasn't too pleased with her powers right now...
"I think he's just intimidated by you because of the Sports Festival," Kashiko pointed out to her. "You did put on quite a show for Bakugo during his match. He must think you're an influence on him."
"Huh?!" Izuka blushed in embarrassment from the memory, holding her cheeks. "I-it's not like that..."
Ochaco giggled a little from her spot. I just think both of them need to work things out and see that they're good for each other.
"Alright. Is everyone here?" Mr. Aizawa asked in front of Ground Omega. "Today's hero exercise will be observed by me and one more person." The sun glistened as someone fell from the sky.
"I am...!" All Might fell in a suit, creating a cloud of smoke as he landed. "Like a special guest...here!" He grinned widely, hands on his hips.
"A-All Might!" Fujimi stammered in awe; he was actually a fan of All Might too.
"In the flesh!" Kashiko gushed, her mouth covered.
"Such power...!" Dadan fanboyed a little.
"I'm so jealous of UA!" Habuko squealed, Izuku glancing at Fujimi especially in shock. He didn't think someone like him could express happiness. He almost reminded him of Izuku himself, the boy giving a small smile.
"So! About our little exercise...we're going to have you all go through some survival training!" All Might gestured to the area behind him.
"Survival training?" Eijiro turned to Denki in confusion.
"Like some battle royal thing?" He questioned in curiosity.
"Let me explain! With four students per team, and six teams overall, one being a group of five from UA, you will start at the predetermined positions that we have chosen!" All Might then popped up in front of the screen with a grin. "There is but one objective! To survive! To run or fight, anything goes! Victory will go to the last surviving team!"
"If you run into another team, and manage to bind your opponents with this capture tape," Mr. Aizawa spoke up next, holding up the tape. "You can make them inoperable. This should be a familiar item to you."
"Now! Let us announce the teams!"
Izuka crossed her arms in hope. Please don't put me with Bakugo-San, please don't put me with Bakugo-San... Not because any personal thing, but because he just seemed to be in a bad mood technically because of her. And she did not want to deal with it this time around.
Team A was Izuku with Mina, Ochaco, and Tsuyu. Team B was Katsuki, Eijiro, Momo, Izuka, and Mezo. Team C was Shoto, Mashirao, Toru, and Koji. Followed by that was Team D of Rikido, Hanta, Fumikage, and Tenya. The E team was Minoru, Yuga, Denki, and Kyoka. And the final team was the Isami students themselves.
"All teams, move to your start areas," Mr. Aizawa ordered the group of students. "The exercise will begin without warning in five minutes."
"Make sure you survive!" All Might clenched a fist.
"Yes sir!"
Izuka groaned while sagging her shoulders, following after her team. Why is it I always get paired with Bakugo-San, no matter what...?
Ochaco and Izuku ran side by side in the forest. "Let's do our best, Deku!" She smiled at the boy.
"Yeah!" He agreed with a nod.
"I won't lose, Tsuyu-Chan!" Habuko declared while Tsuyu was hopping like a frog.
"I'll give it my all too!" The frog-like girl called out.
"I might let you taste my victory once this is over!" Fujimi called out to Katsuki as he was running behind the blond.
"Go ahead if you think you can!" Katsuki grinned at him and then the blue-haired boy looked at Izuka.
"I'll squash you first, if you can survive long enough, shorty," Fujimi called out, earning an angry snarl from the blond.
"If you really feel that way, you can try all you want," Izuka shook her head, not even looking back at the boys. "I have my own goals during this exercise, and none of them involve you, Fujimi-San."
"Why do you think that Fujimi guy has it out for you, Mido?" Mezo asked through one of his limbs while running next to her.
"Good question, but I honestly don't have time to worry about some petty fight with him," She sighed a little; it was bad enough that she and Katsuki weren't getting along too well. She didn't need another student gunning for her just because of her Quirk.
"Leave that Isami shitter to me," Katsuki growled while coming up to Izuka. "Got it?"
"You can't be picking fights with other students either just because they wanna involve me!" She argued back with narrowed eyes, and he gritted his teeth. "What the heck was that back there in class? Are you trying to paint us in a bad light?"
"I don't take orders from you!"
"Enough, the both of you," Momo ordered while glancing over her shoulder. Izuka gave her friend a pout since Katsuki was being stupid. And she really didn't want him to act on her behalf just because people had opinions about her that he didn't like.
"What's our plan? Can't we just battle with the other teams?" Mina asked her group while they were sitting on the ground.
"No, we're at a disadvantage even without the fact that they've watched the Sports Festival. We don't have anyone like Shoji, Jiro, Tokoyami, Izuka, or anyone that can spot the other teams," Izuku informed the three girls. Surveillance wasn't a strength any of them had, or flight for that matter. "If we start moving, there's a good chance we'd be spotted by another team. Even if we get lucky and find another one, we'd be revealing our location to the other groups by getting into a fight." He then rubbed his chin in thought. "And if we get multiple teams fighting us, we'd definitely lose."
"So what do we do?" Ochaco asked in a bit of worry.
"Guys, aren't we forgetting that this is a survival exercise?" Tsuyu pointed out to them.
"That's right!" Mina agreed with her. "All we need to do is survive like All Might said, right?"
"I think we should just sit tight and not make any reckless moves," Tsuyu suggested to her team.
"Yeah, that sounds like a good plan," Izuku agreed as well after giving it some thought.
"Alright!" Mina cheered while waving her hands.
"That sounds relaxing!" Ochaco smiled optimistically and Mina revealed a bag of peanuts.
"Uraraka, want a snack?"
"Sure thing!" Ochaco agreed with a happy expression, bewildering Izuku.
"Aren't you guys taking this a little too easy?" He wondered in disbelief; this was a survival exercise, not camp...
All Might and Mr. Aizawa were standing on a podium that overlooked the field. "It's been five minutes," Mr. Aizawa reminded the man.
"So no one has started moving yet..." All Might pointed out since they couldn't see any movements. "Aizawa...are you okay with such a mundane exercise, even though we have the Isami students as guests?"
"It's the time of year where energy and tension are running high in all of the hero courses," Mr. Aizawa explained to him. "Especially at this time...so avoiding fights, and reminding them of patience and self control is a priority."
"You do have a point..." All Might tried to get a better look for any team. A pair of explosions then occurred in the distance, and he gave a knowing grin. "But not everyone is like that!"
Mr. Aizawa turned to him knowingly, as both teachers had a feeling they knew who caused them.
"I don't care about hiding, I'll kill them all!" Katsuki declared while running with a big grin on his face.
Kyoka was using her Quirk to listen for other people, glancing back at her team. "It's only Bakugo's voice, and only one person's footsteps," She reported to Yuga, Denki, and Minoru.
"He's alone!" Minoru exclaimed, though that should've been a red flag.
"Tres confident!"
"Alright! Let's all go at him as a team!" Denki declared, the three boys running off without Kyoka. Katsuki looked up in alarm and saw a glint coming from a mountain. Yuga's laser went off and he jumped up in the sky to avoid it using his explosions. He glanced around as Minoru's sticky balls flew down from another mountain. Katsuki spun around with his explosions, looking up knowingly of their plan.
A concentrated attack. He glanced around attentively, so that he could determine what to do. They know that I'm alone. That means...! He then raised his arms above his head. "Ears!" He slammed on the ground with his explosions, causing a shockwave that caused Kyoka to cry out in pain. She covered her ears, her earphone jacks moving away from the ground.
"Take this!" Minoru shouted while sending more of his sticky balls.
"I've got him!" Yuga revealed himself, about to fire. Katsuki let out a scream while sending a wave of fire in front of him, and smoke. The sticky balls got sent flying into Yuga, who fell to the ground. Denki looked up while checking up on Kyoka, and yelped in alarm at what was heading towards him. A crash then occurred as Kyoka, Denki, and Yuga were all out. The latter had landed over Denki, trapping him to the ground. "Mercy...!"
"At least give us a chance, Bakugo!" Denki shouted while Minoru ran up to see what happened to his team. "I can't even get out!"
"Bakugo...! He's so-"
"I'm so what?" Katsuki called out and Minoru yelped in fear. He turned around to see the blond himself, ready to attack. Minoru let out a scared sound and soon, the whole team were restrained with the tape. Katsuki ran off down the mountain.
"That was sadistic..." Minoru whimpered as they were now out of commission.
"The explosions stopped?" Izuku glanced up as his team had heard it from their spot.
"What's going on?" Ochaco looked at him in a bit of concern.
"Go!" Fumikage ordered his Quirk. "Dark Shadow!" Dark Shadow lunged for Katsuki, who had found them.
"Didn't I tell you before..." He held out his sparking right hand, jumping up. "That you're annoying to me?!" He fended off Dark Shadow, who cried out in fear. Fumikage narrowed his eyes as Tenya ran past.
"Leave him to me!" Katsuki sent an explosion towards the ground to give himself some momentum. He then fired off another one to go flying off. "Come back here, Bakugo!" He zipped around, thinking he was following the short-tempered boy. But he actually was heading towards a trap of tape. He slid, unable to stop himself. "Ah! Nooooooooo!"
Eijiro, Momo, Izuka, and Mezo ran towards Katsuki, since he ran off without them. "Bakugo!" Momo called out to him. "You're moving too quickly!"
"Where's the other team?" Eijiro wondered and Katsuki jerked a thumb to the four. Hanta, Rikido, Fumikage, and Tenya were all hanging from a tree, trapped in tape.
"I caught 'em," He informed the four, Izuka giving a bewildered look.
"He caught 2 teams on his own...?" Momo murmured in a bit of fear.
"Well, this is Bakugo-San we're talking about...should we have not seen this coming?" The shorter girl gave a nervous laugh. She was just glad that he was cooperating on some level at least...if he was paired up with Izuku, then he definitely wouldn't have even waited for his team.
"You're being way too good at this!" Eijiro exclaimed at the boy.
"Where are the Isami shitters?" Katsuki asked his team.
"What?" Mezo walked up from behind.
"I'm talking about the Isami students!" The blond emphasized to them.
"H-Hey, just because Fujimi-San wasn't acting very nice, doesn't mean you have to call all of them that," Izuka gave a look of disapproval. "The others were at least being friendly."
"That blue-haired guy's getting what's coming to him whether you like it or not. The others didn't even bother shutting him up because they're weak," Katsuki grunted and she heaved a sigh, a hand on her forehead.
"Bakugo, you shouldn't speak ill of other students..." Momo shook her head slowly at him. Meanwhile, none of them realized that they were actually being watched by the Isami students.
"He's back with his team," Kashiko reported to Habuko, Dadan, and Fujimi, her goggles displaying the visuals. She then gave an awkward look. "And arguing with his fellow classmate again...Distance, 100 meters. Beginning to move."
"That Bakugo guy is amazing!" Habuko commented in a bit of awe.
Fujimi looked away with a scoff. "Whatever. I don't get how that girl tolerates it. Maybe she's just an idiot."
"Stop," Kashiko warned him before looking back at her readings. "They're coming this way!"
"Okay, Tadan!" Fujimi looked over his shoulder. "Explode them!"
"To be honest, I don't like fighting..." Dadan murmured quietly to himself.
"Distance, 80 meters!" Kashiko informed, and that just upped the pressure for him as he flinched. He sweated immensely as he looked up.
"But I have to! For the team! Make them all blind!" He fired off several projectiles, which Mezo noticed.
"Something's coming!" He informed his teammates.
"What?!" Izuka turned around in alarm, her bow appearing in her hands as they all turned around.
"What is it?" Eijiro questioned as they heard a whistling sound.
"Are those...missiles?!" Momo screeched in alarm as they were all heading towards them. They landed one by one, creating a cloud of smoke and a ringing sound.
"What was that?!" Mina asked as she, Izuku, Ochaco, and Tsuyu all covered their ears.
"It's so loud!" Ochaco whined a bit and Izuku realized what was going on.
The Isami students...are making their move?
The entire forest was covered in smoke now, but it was starting to disappear slowly. "This is odd...I'm not reading any life-forms," Kashiko reported to her team.
"They didn't escape, did they?" Dadan wondered as they were looking for anyone, really.
"They might just be flash bangs, but you've covered the area, so I'm sure you got them..." Habuko murmured in thought. They came to a stop after Kashiko had led the way.
"They should be unconscious around here somewhere..." She glanced around for someone.
Fujimi let out a small scoff, shrugging. "You should've used real missiles!"
"Hey!" He heard a familiar voice, turning to the side. A blanket dropped, created by Momo, to reveal her and the rest of the team that were in hiding. "You're really irritating, you know," Katsuki gave a small smirk.
"In that one moment...I was able to tell when the smoke would have its effect on us," Momo explained to the Isami students with a small smirk. "I would know. I actually learned of its structure a while ago in order to use my cannons."
"Nice one, Yaoyorozu-Chan," Izuka gave her a small smirk, still holding her bow and ready to fire if needed.
"I hope you're ready for this..." Fujimi gritted his teeth as part of his costume glowed red. The two teams stared each other down and Katsuki moved first.
"Leave it to me!" Habuko exclaimed as her eyes shined, and Izuka yelped, holding up a star shield and looking away. She then looked up in shock as her three teammates fell to the ground anyway, paralyzed. "Attack now!"
"Wait, look!" Dadan pointed up to the sky, Izuka following their gaze as she gasped in awe. Katsuki had jumped when the flash occurred, his body limp.
So her Quirk doesn't take effect unless someone's making direct eye-contact...and they can still move! Though, my shields don't apparently prevent it.
"He jumped before he got paralyzed...?!" Habuko yelped in surprise and then Katsuki looked up with a grin not too long after.
"Just three seconds?" He used his explosions to gain some momentum. "What a weak Quirk! Short stack, now!"
She gasped in realization and then held up her bow, firing right at the group. Fujimi shook in anger that his rival was making fun of them. And that they technically gave Izuka enough time to fire as a distraction. "Stop mocking us...!"
"Die!" Katsuki screamed while Fujimi leaped towards him.
"Don't underestimate us!"
"Fujimi, don't!" Kashiko tried to warn him and a pink smoke came from the boy. Izuka's star finally reached the four, shining a light in their eyes. The smoke covered the whole area. Eijiro, Momo, and Izuka covered their mouths.
"What is this...?" Momo murmured in confusion. The Isami students were also covering their mouths.
"Fujimi, you idiot!" Kashiko exclaimed as the other three students knew what was going on.
Izuka then let out a sound of concern, looking towards the middle. "Bakugo-San!" She cried out in worry for him since he couldn't be seen currently.
"What the heck is this?" Hanta wondered as the four tried to break free.
"No! Whatever you do, don't inhale it!" Tenya warned his team.
"Pink gas?" Minoru looked up in confusion. "Kinda erotic!"
Ochaco turned around as her team could see it from their spot. "What is that...?"
"I don't know...but we should probably stay away from it," Tsuyu told the three since it could be poisonous.
"Let's go to a safer area!" Izuku informed the girls.
"That gas..." Mr. Aizawa noted from his spot. "I read the Isami students' data sheets. And this is part of a troublesome Quirk. We should stop the exercise-"
"No," All Might interrupted, getting Mr. Aizawa's attention. "This can be used as a survival scenario," He then grinned with a thumbs up. "Everything will be fine! If things prove to be too much, I'll stop it and take full responsibility!" His teeth shined a little and Mr. Aizawa stared at him for a few seconds. Some part of him admitted that the fellow teacher was right. It was almost just like the rescue exercise, except that All Might had nothing to do with it. And Mr. Aizawa trusted that he could calm the students down.
"I'll leave this to you, then."
Izuku and his team ran up the mountain, glancing down to see Shoto and his team. "Todoroki!"
"Midoriya! We're not here to fight you or your team," He glanced up at the boy.
"Yeah! I know! Both of us are thinking the same thing, right?" Izuku looked up ahead, part of him concerned for his sister. I really hope she isn't there, and that we can help everyone else get out safely!
"Do you know what that gas is?"
"It's probably the Quirk of one of the Isami students," Izuku explained, since he knew that no one from their class was capable of it. And the chance of it being a villain was highly unlikely, because none of the League of Villains were capable of pink gas. All Might himself had learned his lesson of faking an attack, so he wasn't behind this either. "I don't know what it does, but..." He came to a stop as he saw something, Ochaco and Mina staring at him.
"What's wrong, Deku?"
The 8 could see someone stepping out of the forest from the shadows. "Someone's coming!" He pointed out as they watched.
"Did they run from the gas too?" Tsuyu wondered and Ochaco raised a hand.
"Heeeeeeey!" She called out to them. "Over here! Over..." She faltered as people trudged out of the forest. "Here...?" she dropped her hand, the others unnerved by what they were seeing. "W-what is...?"
Katsuki was the first to reveal himself...as a zombie. He was pale and his eyes were pure black. Izuku and Ochaco looked horrified at the sight. "Z-ZOMBIES!" She and almost everyone else shouted; Momo, Eijiro, and Izuka were the same way too.
Fujimi laughed upon seeing this unfold from a tree.
Romero Fujimi! Quirk: Zombie Virus. He spreads his virus around and infects people to be zombies! Once infected, the victim cannot be hurt! Kyoka, Yuga, Rikido, Denki, Dadan, and Kashiko were all the same as the four as they revealed themselves. All brain activity also stops! Mezo hit his head against a tree over and over. Katsuki kept firing off explosions, Izuka firing off her shooting stars as well. The victims also randomly use their Quirks, unable to stop themselves! They also go ahhh! Habuko was also a zombie as well, though this didn't really seem...heroic. Is this really a Quirk that can be used to be a hero? This is too much!
Tsuyu gave a worried look towards Habuko. "Habuko-Chan!"
"Mido," Ochaco frowned in concern, as well as Izuku. "Everyone...why is this happening?"
"It must have to do with that gas!" Izuku narrowed his eyes knowingly. "They've been completely zombified!" Denki was overusing his Quirk already while Hanta was covered in tape. Momo was creating lots of little nesting dolls, all of them with zombified faces. Tenya was running himself into a tree.
Romero chuckled while stepping up to them. "What do you think of my Quirk?!" He bragged to the two teams, though didn't notice two shadows behind him. "UA isn't all that much-" Izuku gasped while pointing behind him, Ochaco doing the same. Katsuki and Izuka bit him from behind, freaking the boy out. "OH MY GOOOOOOOOOD!" Romero fell limp to the floor, Izuku looking up ahead nervously from what just happened.
Kacchan! Izuka! They're still fighting even as zombies...or maybe this is Izuka's way of revenge given how Fujimi behaved towards her. Then again, this action he thought was a bit much, even though he doubted she expected to turn into a zombie. He would've preferred an apology on Romero's part...
Romero then looked up at the group, now a zombie himself. And now the only person who could've reversed the effects couldn't. "I-It's just like in the movies!" Izuku stammered nervously as they looked up ahead in shock. "You turn into a zombie if you get bitten!"
Shoto glanced towards the other zombies. "If the Quirk user is down, there's no way to reverse this mess! Then I'll..." He moved his right foot to send a bunch of ice towards the zombies. This froze them in place.
"Alright, Todoroki!" Mina cheered for him. However...Katsuki managed to break free first, followed by Momo and Izuka. The pink-skinned girl let out a sharp gasp.
"It really is like the movies! They're much stronger now!"
"Dammit!" They heard Mashirao's voice, turning around to see Eijiro and Fumikage biting both him and Toru.
"Ojiro! Hagakure!" Izuku cried out, both of them wobbling around. Although with Toru being invisible, it was honestly hard to tell her state...
"Hagakure is a zombie, right?" Mina pointed at her, Ochaco sweating a little.
"I think so...?"
Izuka pulled away from Koji, who was now a zombie himself. "Koda too..." Shoto gave a small frown.
"He's still quiet even as a zombie!" Izuku yelped with a nervous look. They heard another noise and turned around to see Kashiko hitting Minoru. He was a zombie too...groping the girl's breasts. Even as a zombie, Mineta is still the same!
Mina whipped around to the remaining. "Guys! What do we do?"
"We should leave now! I'm sure Mr. Aizawa and All Might are aware and are getting help right now!" Izuku ordered and they all turned around to slide down the mountain. Tsuyu glanced back in worry for her friend.
Habuko-Chan...
Because she wasn't looking forward, she tripped over a rock, falling face first into the ground. "Asui!" Izuku looked back at her.
"Tsu!" Ochaco cried out and she looked up at them. The girl then turned around to see Habuko landing right in front of her. Izuka flew down seconds later on one of her flying stars. The two groaned while looking up.
"Izuka..." Izuku gave a worried look towards his sister, who stopped and stared at him in the eyes.
"Habuko-Chan..." Tsuyu looked up at her, with a bit of hope that her friend wouldn't turn her into a zombie. Habuko froze while staring at her and then stopped moving. "Habuko-Chan!" Izuku and Ochaco gave relieved looks that Habuko recognized her. Tsuyu stood up happily, holding her friend's hands. "You remember me, even as a zombie! Thank you, Habuko-Chan! We'll always be frien-"
Yuga ruined the moment by coming up from behind and biting Tsuyu in the shoulder. Ochaco and Izuku yelped in alarm as Tsuyu and Habuko groaned towards them. They were still holding hands too. "They're still friends as zombies...not sure if I find that adorable or terrifying," Ochaco gave a nervous expression.
"I think there are more important things to worry about right now!" Mina exclaimed at her.
Izuku's eyes shook as he wanted to see Izuka, but all he could recognize right now was a zombie. And if he stopped to think that he could see reason with her, he'd get bitten too. What do we do...? Where are-
A familiar laugh interrupted him and he turned around in relief. "That voice!"
"Everything's alright! Why, you ask?!" All Might fell from the sky, creating a huge crash. "I am here!" Toshinori was there however, not All Might, because he had actually hit his limit with his power already...He was spewing blood, Izuku holding his head in a panic. Mina, Ochaco, and Shoto stared at him in silence before the girls screamed, hugging each other.
"A stranger turned into a zombie!" They both shouted, dragging off the shocked Izuku with them. Shoto ran next to Mina while Toshinori looked at his shaking hands.
Damn! I stayed in my muscle form for too long, and now I can't maintain it anymore today! He turned around while waving a hand. "Wait, you kids! I'm not a zombie, I promise!" He cried out, but they didn't listen. Meanwhile, the zombie students caught up to him and he looked back in fear. "SHIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIT!"
However, as Rikido reached out a hand, he patted Toshinori on the shoulder and walked off. In fact, all of the zombies out right ignored the man. He then opened his mouth in shock as he realized why he was getting bitten. They think that I'm one of them! But...what can I do about this...? He looked back at the horde of zombies; even if he was All Might, he couldn't hurt them. They'd probably bite him anyway, so maybe it was a good thing that he couldn't maintain his form right now.
"I'll leave this to you," Mr. Aizawa just watched from his spot, meaning that he wasn't going to intervene this time. Not because he didn't care, but because Toshinori did say he would take full responsibility should things go too far in this exercise.
"Todoroki!"
"I'm on it!" Shoto exclaimed knowingly as he encased their hiding spot of a cave with ice. The others sighed in relief, the girls falling to the ground.
"I can finally breathe!" Ochaco said in a shaky voice.
"I'm so tired!" Mina whined while looking up.
"Midoriya," Shoto looked over his shoulder. "How long do you think that zombie Quirk lasts?"
"The gas was clearing up, so I'm sure it'll go away on its own eventually," Izuku explained and then looked away in thought. He didn't know Romero's Quirk up until he had seen it for himself, so his notes wouldn't be any help here. "But how long will that be...?"
"I'm sure that if it gets too dangerous, the teachers will help us like Deku said!" Ochaco gave a slightly nervous look at Mina.
"Yeah, you're right!" She nodded in agreement.
However...Izuku was the only one who knew that the chances of that were slim given Toshinori was back to normal. If only...
"Deku," Ochaco called out, getting his attention. "You said you've seen movies like this, right? How do the characters in zombie movies get out of this?"
"Well..." He looked away hesitantly. "Most zombie movies end badly."
Mina and Ochaco gasped in alarm. "Wait, really?!"
"That's not good for us!" Mina shouted and then the ice started to crack. All of them turned around towards the entrance. Izuku held out a hand towards the girls, knowing that neither of their Quirks were good for this. Zero Gravity required Ochaco to touch someone, and that would be at the risk of her getting bitten. And Mina couldn't exactly use acid against zombies if they were actual students...
"They're here!"
Kashiko, Romero, Toru, Tenya, and Izuka were up in front banging on the ice repeatedly. It continued to crack, Toru reaching out a hand once she made a hole. Shoto used more ice to block her off, but it wouldn't hold much longer.
Izuku gritted his teeth. We'll be overwhelmed if this continues! He then looked up at Shoto. "Todoroki, get ready to use your flames! You two stay back!" He looked towards the girls.
Shoto glanced back up ahead, knowing why he was being asked to do so. "A frontal breakthrough..."
"Yes!" Izuku answered while more zombies showed up. "If we can't go back, then we can only go forward! I'll make an escape route!" He stepped back a couple of feet.
"But how?" Mina stared at him and he looked at his hand.
"These zombies can't be damaged...they're both our friends and innocent students from another hero school. But if I blow them away with the ice, we can make a break for it!" His hand started to glow as he looked up, gritting his teeth. One for All! Full Cowling!
Shoto then raised his hand. "All right, Midoriya. Get ready," He activated his flames and then moved his hand forward to fire. Izuku touched the wall with his feet, preparing himself as the ice started to melt. Ochaco and Mina stared hopefully that this would work. "Now!"
Izuku then lunged forward, holding out a hand. "SMASH!" He moved a fist forward, breaking through the ice and causing the zombies to fly backwards. Izuku rolled forward and slid to a stop, looking towards the cave. "Everyone! Let's get out of-"
"What's...!" He froze at Tenya's voice, turning around in shock. Tenya and Minoru were falling towards the ground. "What's going on?!"
Minoru was crying as he fell, as the students were now back to normal. It seemed as if the smash had reversed the effects of Romero's Quirk. "What is happening?!" Yuga cried out, people screaming as they fell from the sky.
"They turned back to normal?! I-I'm so sorry!" Izuku cried out to his classmates in a panic. Izuka was one of the last to fall and she gasped, looking back towards everyone.
"No!" She cried out as she held out a hand to fire a giant star platform big enough for all of them to land on. Izuku then gave a small sigh of relief that they weren't zombies anymore.
"Hey, you damn nerd!" The twins flinched at Katsuki's voice. Izuka landed on a star platform, though was getting low on energy. They looked up to see the blond holding a beat-up Romero, presumably for the whole zombie thing. "You wanna fight me? Sounds fun!"
"Wait, what?!" Izuka screeched from her spot.
"No, no, no! You've got it all wrong, Kacchan!" Izuku cried out to him.
"I'll kill you..." Katsuki spun around while firing off his explosions, creating a tornado of fire. "With everything I've got!"
"KACCHAN!" Izuku screamed as Izuka flew over.
"Don't hurt him-!"
A big explosion occurred, which Mr. Aizawa witnessed from his spot. "What a big mess..." He then sighed heavily at how things turned out.
The sun was starting to set, meaning that it was time for the Isami students to head back to their school. "Everyone...we're so sorry that this happened!" Kashiko bowed her head apologetically. She was surrounded by Dadan and Romero. Dadan's whole body was covered in bandages. Kashiko had a cast and a bandage on her forehead. Romero had a broken nose, a bandage over his cheek, and a bandage over his head.
"Please, don't worry about it," Momo closed her eyes, a bandage over her cheek and one over her right eye. Tenya was next to her with a broken leg, a bandage around his forehead, and one on his cheek. Bakugo seemed to be the least injured.
"We too ask for your forgiveness!" Tenya bowed his head. "Bakugo, you apologize too!"
He was glaring towards Romero, who looked away with a snarl. "Fujimi, you too! Especially to Midoriya, the girl!" Kashiko ordered her classmate, but neither boy reacted to this.
"Apologize!" Tenya and Kashiko yelled at their respective classmates. The two just glared at each other with huffs.
"H-He doesn't need to apologize to me, I think today has been quite enough," Izuka waved a nervous hand while standing between them.
"If you think that I'm gonna let him get away with that, you're dead wrong," Katsuki glared at her and she gave a small tired sigh in return. He was never gonna let that slide, was he? And in hindsight, she didn't really know why he couldn't if she was done with it.
"Please excuse me," Izuka turned to Tenya and Kashiko. "But I have to check up on my brother..."
"Of course! And please accept our apology for Fujimi's behavior again," Kashiko bowed her head and Izuka gave a small smile, nodding. She turned around and ran off, both Katsuki and Fujimi staring after her. Once they glanced at each other, they realized they were both looking at her and growled angrily.
Don't tell me this Isami shitter was targeting her because he likes her! If I see him again, he's dead!
"Habuko-Chan," Tsuyu smiled up at her friend, having two bandages on her face. "I'm so glad I got to see you again!"
"Me too, Tsuyu-Chan!" Habuko smiled, a bandage around her head.
"We got turned into zombies..."
"And got hurt..."
"But it was still fun!" Tsuyu finished with a smile.
"I'm so happy we could be together!"
The two then shared a hug. "Habuko-Chan, let's both work hard to become great pro heroes!"
"Yes...absolutely!" Habuko replied back happily to her.
A box of cakes were presented to Izuku by All Might. Izuka opened the door and walked in, seeing what was going on. "Young Midoriya...I'm so sorry that I couldn't stop what was happening...! Cake?" He held out the box sheepishly.
Izuku's entire face was in bandages compared to everyone else thanks to Katsuki. "I can't eat it right now..." He cried out in dismay and Izuka gave a small frown.
"I'm really sorry...!"
"Well, they look delicious," Izuka walked up to them, taking the box. "I'm sure that when he's fully recovered, he can enjoy them..."
"You can take half of them and save the rest for me..." Izuku told his sister and she gave a happy hum. She was about to take one and then froze, recoiling her hand back with a sheepish look. She didn't want to make him upset if she ate it in front of him, especially since they looked really yummy.
"Well...I'll wait when you're not in eyeshot of me...Bakugo-San is gonna get an earful from me later, that's for sure..."
