Angel: Alright, season finale time! I will point out that compared to last time, there's more of a gap between seasons 2 and 3. Because we have not only an OVA, but also the first movie that came out between them. If that's something that people don't wanna deal with and just want season 3, don't know what to tell you since I'm not just writing the main 7 seasons. Whatever you decide, it's your choice and I won't take it away from you.
Also, just keep in mind that Izuka and Katsuki are still a slow burn, they're not making anything official anytime soon. It's only been like what, 38 main chapters? If it was a lips on lips kiss, then it would be WAY too soon and out of place. So I can't say how the others will react. I will say that my Dr. Stone story has a kiss scene in season 2, but that's because Sumiku are friends from the start whereas…Bakzuka are more complicated (I'm still struggling giving the latter a ship name).
Got asked to write Soul Eater and I have never seen it. And even if I had, any show that gets recommended to me does not automatically mean I'm going to write it. I'm sorry, but that's just how it is because I can't guarantee every show I watch I'll make a fanfic of. I'd be making more fanfics than I could count if that was the case. And I am saving 4 questions I got from Wednesday for the other chapter otherwise I'll be cluttering this section, I'm sorry. I will answer it there, promise.
The newcomers of the League of Villains stood there, waiting for an answer from Shigaraki. He finally spoke up a few seconds later. "Kurogiri, get rid of these two," Their master was listening through the TV again. "I can already tell they're exactly the kind of trash I hate. A brat and a guy with no manners."
"Now, now, Tomura Shigaraki," Kurogiri turned to him, not so willing to kick them out just yet. "They came all this way, the least we can do is hear them out. Give them a chance. Besides, this broker is respected in the underworld," He looked towards Giran, who let out some smoke from his cigarette. "They're bound to be valuable assets."
Giran turned to the two with a small smirk. "Like 'em or not, you still owe me a finder's fee. In cash," He then stepped up behind the two new... 'recruits.' "I suppose I could introduce the two of 'em before I go. This one looks like an adorable high school girl, right?" He gestured to the girl in the school uniform. "She's actually the suspect in a series of deaths where the victims all bled out. So far, her name and face have been kept out of the media."
"Toga here!" She gave a bright smile. "Himiko Toga! Life is too hard. I just want to make it easier to live in this dumb world. I wanna be Mr. Stainy! I wanna kill Mr. Stainy!" Her blush grew as she continued speaking. "C'mon, handy-man, please let me join your League of Villains!"
"You gotta be kidding me," Shigaraki already wasn't impressed because of the fact that she was a Stain fan...oddly. And that was the best way he could describe her behavior. "Is she crazy?"
"Well, she can hold a conversation," Giran defended while Himiko didn't seem insulted at all. "For the most part, at least. C'mon, she could be useful. And this guy—hasn't committed any flashy crimes, but he's taken Stain's ideology to heart," He gestured to the one with decaying skin.
"I don't like this," The man immediately expressed his feelings on the matter. "Is your group really dedicated to the Hero Killer's mission? I can't imagine you are if you're gonna let this little psycho join you," He looked right at Himiko, who let out a giggle.
"Grow up," Shigaraki deadpanned at him. "She may be a psycho, but at least she knows how to introduce herself to people. Don't just stare. What's your name?"
"Right now, I'm goin' by Dabi," He finally answered the man.
"No, I want to know your real name," Shigaraki demanded of Dabi, pointing at him.
"I'll tell you when you need to know it," Dabi looked away while closing his eyes. "In any case...my new purpose is to carry out the Hero Killer's will," He looked at Shigaraki straight in the eye, looking dead to the world.
"That wasn't what I asked you, patchwork," Shigaraki growled a little, getting annoyed at hearing too much about Stain. "Jeez. Why is everyone so hung up on Stain? He's all I ever hear about," He then got onto his feet.
"No, don't do it," Kurogiri tried to warn him, but was unsuccessful.
"Every damn day. It's really pissing me off!" His eyes widened in anger, alarming both Himiko and Dabi. "You two are done!" He moved his hands forward to attack, Dabi holding out his hand. Himiko kept a sadistic grin on her face while pulling out a knife. Kurogiri gasped and then used his warp gate so that all of their hands phased through the portals, preventing any attacks.
"Please calm yourself, Tomura Shigaraki," He informed the leader while Giran just looked on with a small smirk. "If your desire is to be realized, then we must increase our numbers. Now that we're in the spotlight, our chance is at hand. I advise you to be more accepting," He then moved his neck around so he could whisper into Shigaraki's ear. "You must use them and the ideology Stain has left behind."
Shigaraki then backed off as he realized several things. The low-brow villains they had with them at the USJ weren't strong enough, and were in prison. They couldn't accomplish anything if it was just the two of them currently active since their master couldn't really do anything at the moment. But that didn't mean he was still open to the idea of letting in Himiko and Dabi. Especially because of Stain.
"I'm outta here," He stomped past everyone.
"Where are you off to?" Giran wondered as they all stared at him.
"Shut up!" He growled at the broker, slamming the door behind him. Kurogiri moved his neck back to his body.
"I try to make it a point not to complain about a client," Giran rubbed the back of his neck. "But he's too young. And far too immature."
"Really thought he was gonna kill us for a sec!" Himiko commented with a small smile.
"That guy makes me wanna vomit," Dabi muttered in a bit of disdain.
"Shall we get back to you about recruitment at a later date? I believe our leader knows what he has to do," Kurogiri told the trio. "That's why he left as he did. He understands his circumstances. All Might, then the Hero Killer—he's been humbled twice very recently. I'm sure he will bring you an answer. One that will satisfy both of you, as well as his own desires."
Shigaraki walked down the hall, conflicted on what he wanted to do. Twice now he had been mocked in public, and a third time wasn't going to happen. But he had no idea why he was even doing all of this, wondering if his grudge was justified...
At UA, everyone was getting over their results from the practical. "E-Everyone..." Mina cried out sadly, her, Denki, Eijiro and Rikido very disappointed with themselves. "I'm looking forward to hearing all your stories of how fun camp was..."
"Maybe they'll end up letting you go!" Izuku tried to cheer them up. Hanta was the only one not mulling over it. "There might be a last-minute twist or somethin'."
"Stop, Midoriya," Hanta closed his eyes, placing a hand on his shoulder. "By saying that out loud, you're just jinxing them."
"They said whoever failed the exams would have to skip training camp and live in summer school hell," Denki lamented, his back turned towards them. "We didn't pass the practicals, so we're doomed! Don't you get it, Midoriya?!" He then poked Izuku right in the eyes. "Or did All Might knock all the brains outta you?!"
"Kaminari-San!" Izuka ran over from her seat, moving his arm away.
"Ease up, Kaminari," Hanta spoke up from behind the twins. "I'm not sure I'll get to go, either. Our team only passed thanks to Mineta. I got knocked out, and since we don't know how they're scoring stuff, I might have flunked."
Ochaco waved her hands in worry as Denki was shaking. Izuku was covering his eyes as Minoru listened in proudly. "At least bring us back lots of camp souvenirs, please?!" Denki cried out as Izuka turned around to him.
"We will, but please calm down and don't attack anyone else..." She sighed while sagging her shoulders.
Mr. Aizawa then slammed open the door. "Once the bell rings, you should be in your seats," As soon as he said this, they scrambled to their assigned seats, and then it was utter silence. "Morning. Unfortunately, there are a few of you who did not pass your final exams. So, when it comes to the training camp in the woods..." He then had a big smile on his face, just like he did during their Quirk test. "Everyone is going!"
"It's a last-minute twist!" Mina, Rikido, Eijiro, and Denki exclaimed in excitement, happy for once that there was a switch-up.
"We really get to go to camp?" Eijiro smiled happily at the teacher.
"Seriously?!" Mina exclaimed with happy tears in her eyes.
"Yeah. The good news is that no one bombed the written exam. Five failed the practical badly. Two teams, of course, and then Sero failed as well."
"Aw!" Hanta lamented, a hand over his face. "Crap, I knew it. Mineta made it to the gate, but I didn't do near enough to pass..." He whined while Mineta whistled innocently nearby.
"Allow me to explain," Mr. Aizawa spoke up again. "For the practical battles, the teachers made sure to leave a way for the students to win. Otherwise, you never would have stood a chance. We were interested in observing how you each worked together and approached the task at hand."
"But didn't you promise that the teachers wouldn't be holding back?" Mashirao spoke up from in front.
"That was just to get you on edge. Besides, the training camp will focus on building your strength. Those who failed need those lessons the most. And even though one particular student didn't fail, they do have a lot of progress to make still," He looked right at Izuka, who flinched with wide eyes. It was pretty obvious who he was talking about... "We were never going to separate you," He then gave another grin. "That was just a logical deception we used."
"A logical deception?!" Rikido, Mina, Denki, and Eijiro shouted in disbelief again, but still rejoiced that they were going to camp.
"He tricked us all," Tenya was shaking in horror. "I should have expected this," He then got onto his feet, raising his hand. "Mr. Aizawa, this is the second time you've lied to us. Aren't you afraid we'll lose faith in you?"
"Uhh, a little blunt there, Tenya," Ochaco spoke up with an awkward smile.
"That's a good point. I'll consider it. But I wasn't lying to you about everything," Mr. Aizawa pointed out to his student. "Failure is failure," He then looked at the five who failed, and they all froze. "We've prepared extra lessons for the five of you." Their joy turned into disappointment once again. "Frankly, they'll be far tougher than what you'd face at summer school."
Later, the sun was setting, and everyone was preparing to go home. "This is gonna be great," Mashirao smiled while holding a training camp guide. "I'm so glad we're all going together."
"Looks like we'll be at the training camp a full week," Tenya read the pamphlet they all got.
"I've gotta find a bigger suitcase," Izuku commented while looking over his shoulder.
"Yeah, I don't even have a bathing suit," Denki looked up at the two. "Guess I need to buy some stuff."
"Like night vision goggles!" Minoru popped up between them.
"Guys, since we're off tomorrow and we finally finished exams, I have the best idea!" Toru exclaimed in excitement. "Why doesn't Class 1-A go shopping together?"
Izuka gasped while turning to her in alarm. Since she went to various stores for art supplies, she knew her way around a store or two. But she had never actually done it with anyone beside her brother, and looked away in thought.
"Hey, yeah!" Denki grinned at her suggestion. "We've never hung out as a class before." Ochaco smiled in agreement.
"Bakugo," Eijiro turned to Katsuki, who was walking away. "See you there, right?"
"I can't think of anything more annoying. Not even short stack," Katsuki commented and Izuka stared after him.
Not surprising, since he doesn't seem to interact with people much from class outside of me, Izuku, or Kirishima-San She gave a sheepish smile towards him.
"Will you come, Todoroki?" Izuku approached the boy with a small smile.
"I visit my mom on days off," He told the green-haired boy.
"You party poopers!" Minoru popped up in disappointment. "Don't you ever get tired of being so serious?"
"Izuku, tell me the details when I get home tonight," Izuka waved as she stood up, taking her art supplies with her and her schoolbag.
"You're coming too!" Ochaco smiled happily at her.
"W-well...I do need some smaller paints for camp when I have down time," Izuka rubbed the back of her neck. "And the crowds won't be so bad if I'm with almost my whole class. So...is it okay if I come along?"
"Of course it is," Momo smiled at her happily. "I'm glad that you feel comfortable coming with us!"
Izuka smiled back at them and then waved, walking out the door. "Mido, wait," Shoto ran after her and she glanced over her shoulder. "I was wondering, do you mind if I walk with you today? I wanted to talk to you about my visits with my mom."
"Oh, sure, Todoroki-San," Izuka smiled up at him a bit, neither of them aware that Katsuki was listening in. "As long as you don't mind waiting-"
The blond gritted his teeth, not listening to what she was saying. What the hell? That half-and-half bastard is trying to take over? Hell no! He stomped over to the two and then placed a hand on the wall, alarming them both.
"I'm taking her home tonight. There's no need for you to do any favors for her," He narrowed his eyes and Izuka sighed at him.
"Uh-oh..." Ochaco sighed a little at this since the others were still within earshot.
"Since when did Bakugo start walking her home?" Tsuyu placed a finger on her chin in thought.
"It makes sense, they walked to class together once..." Eijiro crossed his arms in thought. He really doesn't like most of our guy classmates around her, huh?
Izuku stared at the three of them. I'm pretty sure Izuka doesn't see Todoroki the way she sees Kacchan...but from his perspective, he might not notice it. I'm guessing he doesn't know that she's sketched him a lot lately, and probably for the best...
Shoto looked up at Katsuki. "You can't make that decision for her. She's not property."
"Of course she's not! What the hell are you suggesting?" Katsuki growled and Izuka rolled her eyes toward the ceiling in exasperation.
"I myself am suggesting I'll text you later, Todoroki-San. Come on," She heaved a sigh as she grabbed Katsuki's hand, dragging him off.
"The next time I see you, you're dead, you icy-hot bastard!" Katsuki screamed and then looked towards Izuka. "Let me go, short stack!"
"Uhh..." Most of their classmates were baffled by this, watching them leave.
"I guess she and Bakugo are working things out?" Kyoka twirled her earphone jack a bit.
"If I could pick any two of our classmates to not pair up, it'd be them," Denki placed his hands on his hips.
"Their behavior together is strange," Tenya adjusted his glasses a little. "But as long as they make an effort to get along, it'll help our class."
Izuku just gave a small smile towards the two, as Katsuki was still yelling, but Izuka was ignoring him while dragging him off. I'm glad that they're talking more.
"And give me that!" Katsuki took Izuka's bag of supplies, putting it over his shoulder. "This thing's always too heavy for you, why don't you get a bigger bag?!"
She gave a small sigh while heading towards the front. Ever since the finals, she had avoided her...thoughts about him. And she wasn't going to bring them up to him until it was important. And since he wasn't mentioning it either, she assumed that was what he wanted too. I'm just gonna keep interacting him like things are normal...as normal as they could be with someone like him. Until I can figure out what it is exactly I'm feeling other than hatred.
"I thought we said you weren't gonna walk me home," She pointed out tiredly.
"You said that, and I don't take orders from you," He pointed out with a small growl. He was the only one who could handle any attacks if it came to that, and her being alone with any boys spelled trouble. He could just imagine some of them doing weird stuff with her that he didn't want to imagine. "So no, I'm still walking you home. Don't you dare back out of it again, you hear me?"
"You know what, never mind..." She shook her head slowly, as she didn't want any more problems with him.
"That's what I thought. You're really gonna go with them tomorrow?" Katsuki glanced down at her, hand in his pocket. She looked up at him as he didn't seem as angry as he was before finals.
"Well...yeah, I think it could be fun and good for me to get more social with our class," She admitted slowly, walking by his side.
"Tch. Just don't do anything stupid. You'll call me if you need anything," He told her and she did a double take.
"Oh, no, I don't need to bother you on your day off, Bakugo-San," She waved off politely.
"That wasn't a question," Katsuki corrected and she faltered in a bit of shock while he kept his eyes forward. "Seriously, any time of day, no matter what it is, just call me. I'll do whatever I can."
A small blush hit her cheeks from how...almost sincere he was about it. "...Okay," She agreed in a soft voice and he looked at her. She had a small smile on her face, still blushing as she kept her eyes forward. His heart thumped a little as he sighed to himself.
Why the hell am I like this with her sometimes? His eyes widened a bit as there could only be one way to explain it. No way! Not with her of all people. It's not that kind of shit...I'm not really starting to like her, she's related to damn Deku...and yet I can't seem to stay away from her.
"Just don't hurt Todoroki-San!"
He flinched from her warning and looked down at her angrily. "Don't tell me what to do!"
The next day, almost all of Class 1-A was at the shopping mall. "Oh man, do I love this place!" Mina gushed as there were about a thousand people around. "It's got a ton of different stores to shop at, and they're all super cool and hip! The Kiyashi Ward Shopping Mall!"
Izuka had on a pink cardigan, and underneath it was a midnight blue romper with white stars all over it. There were two front pockets at her sides, and she also had on beige slouch boots that went up to her ankles. Her hair was loose, but she had thick braided rings on the sides of her head, instead of the rings that were over her head. Over her shoulder was a small brown purse. She glanced around the place to take it all in and Ochaco glanced at her.
"Is this too much for you, Mido?" She asked her friend in a bit of concern.
"Mm? Oh, no, I can handle it fine as long as I'm not alone," She gave a small smile towards the brunette. "Usually, I tend to shop in places that have less crowds on the streets. I've actually been here with Izuku a few times."
"They carry designs for all body types, and have a range of gear for everyone from teens to seniors," Izuku murmured while looking around. Mezo was posing nearby a mannequin. Tenya was looking at some clothes in a shop window. "The logistics of..."
"You're going to scare the children," Fumikage spoke up from behind. Izuka rubbed the back of her neck awkwardly. "Stop."
"Whoa! Aren't those UA students?!" Someone pointed from the distance.
"1-A!" Another smiled brightly at them.
"I saw 'em on TV!"
"The Sports Festival was so good!" The three boys cheered as some people stopped to look at them. Izuka hid behind Mezo with a yelp.
Ochaco gave a nervous laugh. "I can't believe they still remember that..."
"I wanna track down a new duffel bag to bring to summer training," Kyoka stated to Momo, who smiled.
"Oh yeah? Maybe the two of us should browse together," She offered and then turned towards Mezo. "Mido! Would you like to come with us? I can recommend some good paints for you and pick some out you might like!"
Izuka stepped out of hiding with a small smile towards the two.
"Let's see, where can I get a lockpicking kit and a small drill?" Minoru murmured as he looked around.
"Guess I should probably buy some outdoorsy shoes for this thing," Denki suggested to Toru.
"Oh, that's smart, me too!"
Tenya then popped up, raising a hand. "The guide said your shoes should already be broken in, though! But wait," He rubbed his chin in thought. Ochaco, Izuka, and Izuku stared at him. "Perhaps it's a mistake not to factor utility into the equation..."
"So then why don't we split up and look around?" Eijiro suggested to the group. "We can meet here again when we're done."
"Great idea!" Mina jumped up happily.
"Perfect. Let's say we're all back around three?" Eijiro asked the group as it was currently 1 pm.
"Sounds good!" They all agreed in unison. As they left, Izuka looked back to the two students remaining and waved with a small smile. Those two were Ochaco and Izuku, and both of them stood in silence for a few seconds.
"Looks like it's just you and me left..."
"Yeah..." She acknowledged and he turned to her with a small smile.
"So, what are you gonna shop for today? I wanna find a few heavier wrist weights so I can up my training."
"I mostly just need bug spray," She said without hesitation. And then she thought about what Yuga said to her during the exam.
"Is it...because you like him?"
Her cheeks went from pink to red after remembering this. "Yep. Gotta keep those pests away!" She turned around, waving her hand and hoping he didn't notice her expression.
"Do you mean me?!" He pointed at himself in bewilderment.
She ran away holding her red cheeks in embarrassment. You're so stupid, Aoyama! That's not it at all! I don't think...
Izuku stared after her, wondering what that was all about. And he didn't want to go after her and make her uncomfortable since she didn't answer his question. "We came together as a class, but here I am all by myself," He murmured while standing there.
"Oh, it's someone from UA, nice," A different voice spoke up and he turned to the side. He didn't see anyone to his right, but the person approached from his left. "I want an autograph," He then wrapped an arm around Izuku, who was giving a yelp of alarm. The person was in a black hood. "You were the one who got beat to hell at the Sports Festival, right?"
"Uhh, yeah," He answered a bit timidly, looking away. Wow, UA's so amazing. I can't believe how many people watched the matches and still remember us.
"Aren't you one of the students who ran into the Hero Killer in the Hosu incident, too? Along with Izuka? You're practically famous," The mystery person kept his head down.
"You sure do know a lot," Izuku commented, and didn't seem to catch on that technically, the four names were kept out of being involved in a fight with Stain in the media. Nothing was ever said about them fighting him themselves.
"What can I say—I'm just a big fan of you and your sister. I can't believe I'm running into you again." Izuku let out a small gasp as now something was telling him that this wasn't a random fan conversation. "It makes me think that it might not be a coincidence." He then glanced up nervously as Shigaraki moved his hand. "No, no. This feels like it's destiny..." He placed a few fingers around Izuku's neck, who let out a terrified sound as it finally hit him who he was talking to. "Oh, right. From your point of view, we haven't met since the attack on UA." Izuku let out a small growl, wanting out of this now as he looked up. Shigaraki stared into his eyes, not wearing the hand that was over his face. His eyes looked blood-red and terrifying... "Why don't we spend some time catching up? Izuku Midoriya."
"Tomura...Shigaraki!" He uttered the name he didn't think he'd say in public.
Shigaraki stood in front of the entrance of the mall, hands in his pockets. "What meaning is there to killing if you don't have real convictions?" Stain had told him during their conversation at the hideout of the League of Villains. He then started walking through the mall, with no one paying him any mind.
'Just wait, Hero Killer. These people think they're safe, like nothing can harm them.' Seeing the happy smiles from some of them made him sick. 'I don't know if they're naive or just ignorant. People are getting killed somewhere at this very moment, but these idiots keep smiling. Like they don't have a care in the world.' He kept walking through the mall.
"Hero Killer gear!" A boy exclaimed and he turned to the side to see that a store was actually selling Stain merchandise. "Are they really selling this?"
"You'll get into so much trouble if you buy that," His friend warned him, and the boy took the mask to try it on.
"Sure, but how does it look?" He gave a small grin.
"Oh, cool," His friend took a photo of him in it.
Shigaraki turned away and continued walking. 'But, on the other hand...you've got sympathizers who couldn't care less about your ideals.' Dabi and Himiko came to mind for him. 'And yet, they still follow you. What's up with that? Aren't we doing the same thing? You and me?' If Shigaraki really wanted to go there, he was reminded of the USJ incident, which he didn't think was too far off from what Stain was doing since he wanted to kill All Might. 'In the end, you destroy things you hate, just like I do.' He then heard a voice scream in his head as he continued walking. 'So what gives? What's the difference?'
His eyes widened as he looked up ahead...
"Act natural," Shigaraki ordered Izuku, who was now frozen. "Don't make a scene. I'm just an old friend who ran into you at the mall. Calm down and wipe that look off your face. I think we should have a conversation, is all. A friendly chat," He gave a small sinister smile. "Oh, and of course, if you try to run or fight me in any way...well, it'll be fast," One of his fingers twitched. "Soon as all five of my fingers touch your neck, your throat will be the first thing that disintegrates. In a matter of seconds, you'll be nothing more than dust and powdered bone."
"If you do that here where there are so many people...a hero will come and catch you in no time," Izuku narrowed his eyes a bit. "And then my sister will come after you. You couldn't escape." Even if he could get Shigaraki away from either him or the area...his power was too much for Izuku. And he knew that already from the USJ incident since the man almost killed his sister if not for Katsuki.
"I don't doubt that," He grinned knowingly, pointing up ahead at all the people. "But just look at these sheep. Any one of them could use their Quirks and start a massacre whenever they wanted. And yet they're all here, smiling. They think laws and rules will protect them, because they assume everyone has their same morals. They're convinced nothing bad could ever happen to them. After you, I could kill 20...30...maybe even more before a pro showed up and managed to stop me."
Izuku sweated immensely as he couldn't let one person in this mall die if he tried to do something. He clenched a fist; he couldn't be morally responsible for taking their lives by trying to do something he himself wanted to do as a hero. Saving them was a priority...which meant he had to risk his own to protect them...as much as he didn't like having to talk to the villain. He didn't even know what Shigaraki would want with him.
"I get it. Let's talk..." He released his fist.
Shigaraki let out a pleased chuckle. "This is nice. A real moment. Let's go grab a seat and get comfortable, why don't we?" And so, the two sat down, and not once did the villain release him. "When it comes down to it, I hate basically everything. But the Hero Killer pisses me off the most right now."
"Isn't he one of your guys?" Izuku asked a bit bitterly, since rumors had spread about Stain being in the League of Villains.
"Not technically, but that's what the media made it look like. And that's what my problem is. It's like suddenly, everyone is obsessed with that stupid Hero Killer," As he answered, the boy's eyes were shaking, hoping that this would be done quicker. "The attack on UA, the Nomus I released on Hosu, me using the DNA on one from your sister—he upstaged all of it. No one's even giving me a second thought. Why is that? Despite what he claims to believe...all he really did was try to get rid of whatever things he didn't like," He then chuckled, grinning towards Izuku. "What do you think the difference is between us? Midoriya?"
Ochaco sighed while walking on another floor. She was fanning her still flushed face, mortified of how she handled thinking about Yuga's question. "Ugh, I can't just run away every time I get flustered. Ironic since Mido still does that sometimes..." She looked over the railing, looking at all of the people down below. I bet Deku was really confused by that...I feel bad leaving him behind. So...I should go back and apologize. Right? Just go talk to him. All alone. No big deal... She then turned away with a small smile. Yeah! No problem! It's not like I wanna spend all day shopping with him or anything weird. I mean, sure, I think he's amazing cause he tries so hard to be a hero. But it's not like I like him. He's my friend!
She was sweating bullets while speed walking down the hall. What Aoyama said was ridiculous!
Shigaraki stared at Izuku, who looked towards the ground as he hadn't said anything yet. "Oh? Not answering? Then I suppose we can call your sister and I can ask her instead-"
"No, don't do that," He glanced at the villain nervously, not wanting Izuka to get involved. Plus, he felt like if he didn't answer, he'd turn into dust. "What's the difference? I don't understand you. Your goals... and your villains...I don't agree with anything you do. I don't agree with the Hero Killer either. But I can understand him. At least, sort of." This had to do with the video he watched about Stain, because according to that video...Stain actually wanted to become a hero because of All Might's presence. That part he could understand because that was like himself. Even if morally, he couldn't agree with Stain's actions. "Because the Hero Killer and I have something in common. We're inspired by All Might."
"Everything that I do...is to create a stronger society," He had just stabbed the flying Nomu, saving Izuku.
"That night, he even saved me from the flying Nomu. He's a maniac, but he doesn't destroy things just because it sounds fun," Izuku continued, remembering Shigaraki's behavior from the USJ incident.
"It's game over for real this time. Let's go home."
"And when things were looking bad for him...he didn't abandon his mission like you did," Izuku's eyes shook as he spoke with bitterness, but because of what Shigaraki had done. Not because he understood him or anything like that. "Even if the way he acted was wrong...he held true to his beliefs. That's the difference," He finally looked up into Shigaraki's eyes bravely, and then froze from the look he was getting...as Shigaraki did not look happy.
"Ah...that's like a weight off my chest," Shigaraki...was actually agreeing with him. "I see it now...all the dots connected. Why he makes me so angry, why you and your brat sister irritate me so much—everything makes sense." Izuku whimpered at his words, worried that he was gonna become dust now regardless of the answer he gave. Shigaraki's smile then turned terrifyingly happy. "It's him. The problem is All Might." Izuku let out a sharp gasp at this. "Yeah, yeah. That's it. That's the most rational explanation," He then turned away, laughing gleefully as he believed this to be the right answer. "I didn't see it, even though it was right in front of me the whole time. What was I worrying about so much? It's simple! He's why these morons are able to smile thoughtlessly!" His fingers then tightened around Izuku, who let out a horrified sound. "They feel so safe because that garbage pro is smiling thoughtlessly too, as if there's no one in the whole world he can't save! Oh, I'm glad we had this chat. I feel better. I can't thank you enough, Midoriya." Izuku yelped while reaching out to his neck. "I don't need to change my ways after all. Whoops, don't struggle, now. Unless you want to die," He gave a gleeful big smile, looking at everyone up ahead. "You want all these people here to crumble as well?"
Izuku continued shaking, struggling to not let Shigaraki do that. All these innocent people, including his classmates and his sister, didn't need to die because of him. You know, it's really ironic, Hero Killer. I'm your opposite, but you let me live. And now your ideals and convictions will become a stepping stone for me. Shigaraki grinned, pleased as he felt like he could use this to his advantage.
"Uh, Deku?" Thank goodness for Ochaco having arrived, staring at them...somewhat. Izuku stared at her with tears in his eyes, shaking. She gave a concerned look. "Is that a friend...?" She then let out a small gasp, seeing the look in her friend's eyes. "No, that can't be right..." Shigaraki slowly turned to her with that same grin on his face. "Uh, hey. Let go of him..." She murmured in fear and Izuku gasped, remembering what Shigaraki said.
"This is nothing, everything's fine!" He exclaimed at the brunette. "Stay back! No closer!"
Shigaraki then released him and he let out harsh coughs. "Oh, you were here with a friend?" He replied innocently, raising his hands. "I didn't know. Sorry about that," He glanced to Izuku, leaning towards his ear. "If you try following me, I'll get angry," He then walked off, hands in his pockets. Ochaco stared at him briefly and then ran to Izuku.
"Deku!"
"Hold on...Shigaraki," Izuku looked up with a death glare.
Ochaco gasped in horror while looking up. "Shigaraki...?"
He came to a stop after hearing them, looking over his shoulder. "I have a question too. What is All for One after? How did you get Izuka's DNA?"
"What?" Ochaco turned to him in alarm.
"...Who knows, really?" Shigaraki responded, Ochaco both confused and terrified. "It could've been anything. A hair, those pens she likes drawing with." Both Izuku and Ochaco gasped sharply. "But here's a little word of advice, friend. Be careful. The next time we meet, I'll likely have to kill you and your sister." Ochaco stood up in alarm from this warning, and Shigaraki disappeared into the crowd, as if nothing had happened.
"What meaning is there to killing if you don't have real convictions?"
Shigaraki grinned to himself while those words repeated. I had convictions and ideals from the beginning, Hero Killer. I just didn't know. Nothing has changed. The only real difference is...now I know what I'm working toward. He then started walking in an alley, to head back to his hideout. To create a world without All Might...and to prove how fragile society's sense of safety really is. That's what drives me. From this day forward, I will call it my conviction.
"There is only one man I'll let kill me," Stain declared in Hosu after saving Izuku. "The true hero among you fakes. All Might is worthy!"
Izuku was still holding his throat from where Shigaraki threatened to touch. Shigaraki himself had a gleeful grin on his face. Everything is All Might's fault.
Uraraka reported the incident, and the shopping mall was temporarily closed. She was worried, but promised not to say anything about Izuka's DNA. The heroes and police in the area conducted a massive sweep. But they couldn't find Shigaraki. Later that day, Izuka and I were taken to the police station. Mr. Tsukauchi, who is investigating the League of Villains, interviewed me. I told him and my sister everything I could about Shigaraki's appearance and the conversation we had. And Izuka...didn't take it well.
"I can't believe that bastard had the nerve to threaten you in public," She snarled, looking almost as mad as Katsuki did on a normal basis. The girl paced around behind Izuku, who gave a sheepish look at the police officer. "They'll find him, put him in a jail cell and then I ask to pull him back out. Don't bother putting him through a courtroom," She then whipped around to the two with an angry expression on her face. "I wanna kick his ass myself. You didn't hear any of that, Mr. Tsukauchi."
Naomasa gave a slightly awkward expression from her words. "Please calm down and take a seat, sis..." Izuku glanced at her and she huffed, doing so and crossing her arms.
"Trust me, I understand that you're upset, but...huh. From what I'm hearing, it sounds like they're not a monolithic organization. And it sounds like his desire to defeat All Might hasn't changed a bit. Or to target your sister either if he was going to offhandedly mention her like you said. Hm. Anyway, thanks for the report, Midoriya. This helps," He looked up with a small smile.
"Oh, sure," Izuku looked up at the man, who then stared at Izuka. His conversation with All Might about the girl came to mind again. The fact that her DNA was used by Shigaraki was still apparent, but until he could get a definite answer, the theory why her Quirk wasn't in the hands of the League of Villains was...inconclusive.
She certainly didn't transfer anything else besides the hair color based on what I've heard from police reports. But her Quirk seems as big as Toshinori's, yet they still managed to get DNA from her to try and gain her power. Hopefully I'm wrong that they still can't get it, but...if they aren't able to, why is Shigaraki interested in her?
"...Midoriya, er, Izuka that is."
"If it helps...everyone who knows me at school calls me Mido," She glanced at him, still trying to calm down.
"Alright then, Mido," He nodded in agreement with that. "While I have you here, I do have to wonder...have you interacted with Shigaraki before the USJ incident?"
"Huh?" She blinked in confusion, Izuku flinching in alarm because he had a feeling why the police officer asked her. "No, never. I-I'd remember someone like him at this point. Does...does this have to do with the fact that I was a secondary target?"
"Perhaps. Can you recall any incident where you might've ran into someone from his League of Villains?" He folded his hands together, waiting for her answer. And it was a bit concerning, to say the least.
"No," Her eyebrows furrowed in suspicion. "W-why are you asking me these types of questions?"
"...It's a...standard procedure since your brother did interact with him and Shigaraki mentioned you," He lied through his teeth, glancing away. He could tell that Toshinori hadn't told her about their conversation. He was right not to panic her about it by not telling her.
Izuku looked towards the ground, as he was gonna put a pin in this later. "I just wish there was some way I could've detained him."
"Don't worry," Naomasa gave him a small smile. "You did a great job holding it together when so many lives were on the line. Most people would've panicked and lost their cool in that situation. No one got hurt today because you were able to remain calm."
"He's right," Izuka sighed a little, closing her eyes. "You can't think about what you could've done just because that prick decided to freak you out."
"...If it was you...what would you have said to him?" Izuku turned to her curiously.
"...That I don't condone what Stain has done in any capacity," Izuka's eyes faltered a little. "But...he did save you for some reason. And I can't overlook that. So...even if I don't like him, I can at least express a little gratitude for helping you. Shigaraki...I could never share that same sentiment even though he and Stain are hurting people. Because he would never do what Stain had."
He frowned a bit from her perspective, since...he could tell she didn't want to feel any positive feelings towards Stain. But like him, she didn't deny that they existed.
Naomasa escorted the twins out the back. "Young Midoriya, Mido! Tsukauchi!" They looked up ahead to see Toshinori approaching. The twins were certainly surprised to see him.
"All Might?! But how?" He ran up to the man, followed by Izuka.
"I needed to talk to him anyway," Naomasa informed as he walked over with a small smile.
"What a relief," Toshinori placed both hands on their heads. "I'm so glad you're both okay."
"I wouldn't say that," Izuka murmured and her brother laughed awkwardly.
"She was pretty mad, to say the least..." He admitted to Toshinori, who gave a sheepish look. He could just imagine it now, since she was protective of her brother whenever he was in danger...
"I'm sorry I couldn't be there to protect you and the others."
"It's fine," Izuku stated as the man removed his hands, Shigaraki coming to mind again. As well as Naomasa's questions towards Izuka. He then frowned, looking towards the ground in silence. Toshinori stared down at him, knowing that it was still affecting them. "Um, All Might."
"Yeah, what is it?"
"...Do you ever have times when you can't save all the people that you want to? Or that someone you love could be in danger, but you don't know yet how to help them?" Izuku asked him a bit sadly, because he wanted to tell Izuka the truth, but he didn't know how.
Toshinori grunted, looking up at Naomasa briefly. The police officer shook his head no to mean that he didn't outright tell Izuka the news of her DNA being something for Shigaraki to exploit however he wanted. "...Yes, I do. And often." Izuku looked at him open-mouthed, Izuka letting out a small gasp. "Someone could be injured and calling out for my help anywhere in the world right now, and I would never know about it," He then looked towards the walls. "I know it's frustrating, but we're only human. There are always gonna be people beyond our reach that we can't protect. But that's all the more reason to stand tall and smile. Especially for the ones you love. So that the Symbol of Justice is always there. Even when I can't be, a flicker in people's hearts, whether they be a hero or a villain. That's what you wanted for your sister, right?"
Izuku flinched as his sister glanced at her brother curiously. "...Yeah, but I learned that she needs to learn on her own. Not to be someone I expect out of her. I still want the best for Izuka...but deep down, I know she'll become a great hero the way she wants to."
"Izuku..." She murmured softly and gave a small smile.
Naomasa gave a small smile at the three. "The kids are worried about what Shigaraki said. But that was likely the villain's resentment talking. All Might here has never failed to save someone after arriving at an emergency. Think we've got everything we need, so you're both good. We're all done here…that is, about today's encounter. Your brother and All Might have something to tell you, Mido."
"What? Is it about our class, are they okay?" She whipped around to the two in alarm.
"No, everyone's fine, but…" Toshinori sighed a little, glancing at Izuku.
"I wanted to wait until after internships were over. Big sister…" Izuku's eyes were dead serious as he looked up at her. "Shigaraki and the League…they have your DNA. One of the Nomus from the Hosu Incident…had your hair color."
"What?!" She yelped in alarm, her eyes wide at the news. "They…they used it on a Nomu? They didn't have my Quirk, did they?"
"No, as far as we know. Something they'll realize eventually," Toshinori assured the girl. "Do you recall losing anything recently?"
"…A pen," She looked up in realization, earning shocked looks from them. "Sometime after the USJ Incident, I-I lost my Faber-Castell pen. During lunch, it was on my desk, and when I came back, it was gone. I just thought Mineta-San stole it!" She held her head in a panic.
I can't believe this…does that mean someone snuck in to steal my pen to get my DNA? But no, U.A. has high level security so there's no way…so that means…it's highly possible someone stole it from the inside…?
"That's really helpful," Naomasa placed a hand on her shoulder. "Don't worry. We'll make sure that they can't use it again once we find them. Tell us if anything else goes missing as soon as possible, okay?"
"We'll be with you no matter what," Izuku assured his sister. "They won't get your Quirk, we promise."
Toshinori nodded sharply in agreement. "We will find them."
"Thank you…" She murmured gratefully to them and then flinched. "Wait, why the heck did you keep this a secret?!" Izuka started swatting at her brother repeatedly.
"I didn't mean to keep for it long, and we had the exams!" He yelped in protest while the two men watched awkwardly. "I'm sorry!"
"You guys can't just leave me out of stuff, don't do that again!" She huffed once she stopped hitting her brother. Her arms were crossed as she looked at Toshinori and Izuku in disapproval.
"Yes, ma'am…" The two murmured like they were getting punished.
Today's just not a good day for her, huh? Naomasa thought to himself.
"Izuku? Izuka?" They turned down the alleyway to see their mother with another police officer.
"Mom?"
"What are you doing here?" Izuka wondered; they didn't even know she was called down here.
"Twins! My babies!" She ran up to them in worry, clutching her handkerchief. She looked like she had been crying. "I can't do this anymore. I don't think my heart can handle another scare." She shed some more tears, wiping at her eyes.
"We're sorry," Izuku gave a soft smile. "Everything's fine. We're okay, Mom. There's no need to cry. The heroes and the police have been taking really good care of us all night."
"And we've told them everything they need, so they'll take it from there," Izuka placed a hand on her mother's shoulder, still getting over the news she learned.
"Sansa," Naomasa looked to the police officer. "Make sure they get home safe."
"Sir!" He saluted to the man. As he drove them home, Naomasa glanced to Toshinori.
"...We're going to assume that Izuka Midoriya's Quirk can't be taken like yours." Toshinori looked at him wide-eyed. "Of course, we still have to investigate and do some tests. But it looks to me like she's just a strong student, and wouldn't want to hurt anyone."
Toshinori gave him a small smile. "She is. I know that with her power, it's as pure as she is. Just compassion, a good heart, and a drive to excel like her classmates," He looked up to the sky as a shooting star flew by. "It can't be true he can use it how he wants...I believe that wholeheartedly. But…it's very likely someone from the school is behind this…" The thought of that made him sick to his stomach.
Izuku glanced back at the two from the car while Izuka's head rested on his shoulder, asleep. He was thinking the same thing as his mentor…but he hoped that it wasn't someone from their school.
"This time, at least, it appears to have been a coincidental meeting. But there's still a pretty big possibility that those two or another student will be targeted in the future," Naomasa explained as the ride home for the Midoriyas was silent. "Of course, we'll continue to be on high alert here, but the school should be ready to take drastic measures. The stronger the light shines, the greater the darkness. I think that, for the good of the students, you should consider leaving UA, All Might."
He gave a sound of shock, looking away. "But I've barely gotten started. I mean, it's only been three months of teaching."
"Heh," Naomasa turned away from him. "I told you before that you weren't cut out for it." Toshinori gave a small groan in response and Naomasa looked up at the sky. "All for One again. This time we have to capture him."
Toshinori nodded in agreement. "One more fight...I'm counting on you again, Tsukauchi."
"...Yeah."
All of the freshmen at UA were now at the closing ceremony for the 1st semester. From the entrance exam to the fitness test, combat training, the League of Villains' attack, the Sports Festival, our internships and the Hosu incident...and finally, our exams—a lot has happened. But our first semester at UA is over. Summer is about to begin. Though, that doesn't mean we can just ignore our training. All of us need to be prepared for the evil lurking around the corner.
Tenya walked towards Hosu General Hospital to see his brother.
So many things transpired for all of us. Many of us felt anger, fear, resentment, pride, and more during our first semester. And I've gone through a lot during that time as well. I never thought I'd be making friends or even be...kinda civil with Bakugo-San now. I'm excited for summer, as I'm sure a lot of people are. The 21 of us in Class 1-A have to be able to anticipate the unexpected. Me especially since…the League have my DNA now.
Shoto spoke to his mother, who looked happy to see him.
Because that's how we'll become true heroes. Shoto looked happy himself at having reconnected with her.
We don't have time to stand around. We have to keep running toward our goals. Izuku and Izuka ran down the beach together, their footprints in the sand behind them. They took a second to breathe, and someone reached out two water bottles. Toshinori was standing in front of them, and he smiled. The two smiled back up at him, straightening up. They were ready for what the future held for them and for the summer.
"Hm, you seem oddly happy today, Master," Someone spoke up in a lab. "Is it because the League of Villains' roster continues to grow steadily?"
The Master let out a cough. "That's not why, doctor. It's because Tomura Shigaraki has finally found his conviction," He looked at a picture screen of Shigaraki. "The League of Villains needs people who will get behind his principles." He had his eye on Dabi and Himiko, who were awaiting Shigaraki's return. "I'll leave all of the decisions to him for now. If he asks for help, then of course, I'll step in and guide him." The master was still hooked to an IV. "That's not a problem as I see it. In fact, I've been waiting for the day when he seeks my aid," The Master...was none other than All for One. "I'm preparing for him to become the next me. My successor."
A Nomu was being created as they spoke...
It was still night time as a certain angry blond boy was asleep. His chest rose up and down as his cheek was on the pillow. Suddenly, the phone glared from his nightstand as it vibrated loudly. He groaned while shuffling around to face his nightstand. He reached out to his phone, his eyes still closed as he picked up the device. He let out a few smacks from his lips as he answered, putting the phone to his ear. "You better have a damn good reason to-"
"Bakugo-San?"
His eyes widened in alarm as he sat up, recognizing the quiet voice immediately. "...Short stack," He murmured, though struggled calling her that still. He needed to find a better nickname for her. His feelings of anger being woken up at 2:30 in the morning went away. The boy then let out a small sigh, leaning against his pillow. "What is it? You do know what time it is. Uh!" He threw off his blanket in alarm. "Where are you?! Who do I need to—"
"No, no, I'm okay," She interrupted before he could actually get up. He then dropped his panicked face and laid back down. Izuka was laying on her back in bed, looking up towards the ceiling. Her hair flowed behind her body as she bit her lip. There was a silence between them as she didn't know what to even say.
I can't believe I even called him...I have to say something at some point.
"I...just wanted to say hi?" She gave a nervous smile, facepalming herself. She could do that in school.
"Yeah right," He muttered, though he wasn't angry with her. Izuka played with a strand of her hair, his voice sounding like he was whispering in her ear. And his raspy voice she kind of liked hearing, it was...cute. "If you really wanted to do that, that shit could've waited till I was actually awake." He then let out a sigh, running a hand through his hair. She wouldn't waste her time calling him to say hello, he could tell that it wouldn't have crossed her mind. "You're at home, right?"
"Yeah...yeah, I am. My brother's asleep, so he won't hear me. I can tell when he falls asleep reading All Might comics late at night," She gave a small giggle to herself.
"Good," Katsuki grunted from that last part. "Of course he would do that, the damn nerd..." He then let out a yawn, and she could tell how tired he was. He then rubbed an eye to help him stay awake at least a little bit. "So why the hell did you call me then? I wasn't expecting you to screw up my sleep this soon."
"...Well..." She twiddled with her hair nervously, unsure of how to bring this up, and he could tell. He let out a scoff at her dodging the issue.
"Come on, short stack. Either talk or I hang up the damn phone. This isn't something you do unless it's important. Quit being so stubborn. You wanna say something, so just talk to me," She didn't say anything though and he gave a knowing sound. "...This is about what happened with Deku at the mall today, isn't it?" She blinked in surprise that he even guessed correctly, freezing in place. "Because...if it is, you can just...say what's on your mind," He let out another yawn. "You don't need to sugarcoat anything with me."
"I..." She sniffed a little, giving an embarrassed smile. "I know that you're offering to let me talk and all, but...it's probably not something you wanna hear me rage about."
"I can tell when you wanna express how certain things piss you off, you know," Katsuki pointed out to her and she closed her eyes knowingly. She assumed it was because of some of their past conversations. "It's nothing new to me. I've known you since we were kids. Uh! N-Not because I care or anything," He looked away with a small annoyed look.
Izuka gave a weak smile at his confession. "Is someone paying attention now? Because I pointed this out to you?"
"No! Shut up! It's just damn obvious!" He grumbled to her and the girl giggled, closing her eyes. "Besides, you don't call anyone for no damn reason unless it's an emergency, because you don't wanna inconvenience people. I know you wanna tell me about it, just talk."
She took a deep breath, opening her eyes. "I never saw Shigaraki. If I did, I would've attacked him right then and there. Izuku must've been so scared and worried for everyone there...I wish the bastard had the guts to do anything even if my brother hadn't done as he asked," She growled a bit and his eyes widened at her language.
"...Heh," He gave a small smirk. "Don't hold back anything on me. I'm gonna keep listening and let you vent, so keep going."
"...Really?" She asked a bit timidly, her eyes softening.
"Yeah, so...just keep talking to me. I...I hate it when I'm not able to kick someone's ass because you're upset," He looked away with a small blush. The girl blinked slowly at this, glancing towards the phone. "And I can't just let you bottle this stuff up either, idiot."
She hesitated, but could tell in his voice that he was actually being considerate to her, in his own way. Plus...she had once confided in him before when she was upset without issue. Izuka smiled gratefully with a small hum, her cheeks feeling a bit warm. "Well, I was at least grateful to Uraraka-Chan that she stepped in when she did. I honestly should paint something to thank her sometime."
"I'm sure Uraraka will like any dumb thing you paint."
She rolled her eyes playfully, deciding to ignore it. He insulted it now, but he was always helping her with her supplies. She then gripped her sheets with one hand, biting her lip. "If...if Shigaraki had decided to hurt him anyway...I could've lost my brother. And the League, they have my DNA. They used it on a Nomu during the Hosu Incident."
His eyes widened as he heard this, his heart hammering. Shit! How? We haven't seen those bastards since the USJ. I can't focus on that right now, she's freaking out…
"Hey, hey," He spoke up softly, sighing from her cracking voice. "Come on, don't think like that. Deku may be annoying as hell, but...he's too stubborn to let that happen. Not ever. I...damn it..." He looked away while gritting his teeth, wanting to find Shigaraki and kill him for doing this to Izuka. "I know it was hard, but shhh," He said a bit soothingly and she took another deep breath. "Get your head on straight. It's not going to happen to Deku, and they won't get your Quirk. So don't worry about that damn nerd. We might be on the phone, but I'm right here. You hear my voice...and you calm the hell down."
Izuka inhaled deeply and then exhaled a few times. Katsuki sighed a little once he heard her stop. "Okay. I know it's tough, but whatever damn feelings you have worrying about him...I can kind of understand. The last thing you need to do is be so closed off to me when I know you're not okay. So...how do you feel right now?"
"...Trapped sometimes. Like I'm prey to a lion because I know he's looking for me. And he might use Izuku to get to me," Izuka wiped her eye with the back of her hand, looking towards her clock. "It's late, I should-"
"Didn't I tell you I didn't care what time you call me? If you need to hear me, just talk to me! I won't get angry either," He looked away with a small grunt. "As long as we can agree that I'm allowed to do the same with you. And I don't give that kind of consent to anyone."
She blinked again and then smiled weakly, tears streaming from her eyes. It meant a lot that he was telling her this, especially if there were things she couldn't talk to anyone else about. "Of...of course you can call me whenever you want, Bakugo-San. It only seems fair..."
"...You can drop the honorifics with me, idiot."
"Huh?" Izuka faltered in confusion as he sat there in silence. "After so long? Why?"
"It just makes things easier, I don't need to tell you why," He closed his eyes and then sighed slowly. "...Everything's gonna be alright. Deku is safe, as well as all those extras in the mall. So wipe those tears, I know you're damn crying." She chuckled a bit, wiping her face again as she sniffled. "Just...tell me how you're feeling."
"...I'm okay...Bakugo," Izuka said breathlessly, his eyes widening. He then clamped his mouth shut a few seconds later. It felt...nice to hear her say his last name.
"That's damn right. You're okay...that's more important than anything right now. I'm...glad that you called me or whatever."
She gave a small smile. Weirdly, she felt the same sentiment. "I don't regret it," She whispered softly into the phone. "I feel much better now. Thank you, Bakugo."
"Yeah, yeah," He dismissed her praise and then moved his body to lay on his back. "Aren't you tired? Get some sleep, idiot. You can't function later if you're not sleeping."
"I'm sorry if I bothered you," She murmured sleepily, her eyes starting to drop.
"No. Short stack, no," He grunted while clenching a fist. "Don't you ever apologize to me for something like this. So don't ever say that to me again or you're dead, you hear me?"
"So says you," Izuka retorted back in a tired tone and he chuckled a little.
"Shut up. We both know I'd win in a fight against you any time, any day. Now...just close your eyes and go to sleep, okay? I'll see you again soon."
"Okay...goodnight, Bakugo..." She whispered as she slowly drifted off, dropping her phone in the process. Katsuki gave a small scoff as he listened to her soft snoring.
"Yeah...goodnight, I-" He faltered as he didn't feel like he could call her by her first name. He didn't correct himself either as he looked up at his phone. He then pressed end call and put his phone away with a small sigh.
Goodnight...Izuka.
