"All Might?" A voice called out to him, as Toshinori was asleep. A bubble came from his nose. "Hey, All Might? Are you asleep?" Someone shook him, snapping him out of it. He blinked his eyes open as he groaned a bit, rubbing at his eye. Izuka giggled a bit in amusement as it was her brother that had woken him up. The girl sat across from the two, sipping a drink as they were on a flight.
"Sorry he woke you, we want you to be awake for this," She spoke softly to him.
"Something the matter, Young Midoriya?" He looked down at the boy.
"Look! We can see it," Izuku pressed his cheek to the window in excitement. "Right there!" He and Izuka looked out themselves to see an island surrounded by water, and had a huge barrier surrounding the city. "The floating city that can move anywhere! Home to over 10 thousand scientists! I-Island!" He and Izuka were in their school uniforms minus the jackets, and Izuku was holding a booklet in his hand for the event they would be going to. "I can't believe this is where we get to start summer vacation, it's so amazing!" He gushed towards their approaching destination. Izuka had her hands pressed to her own window, her eyes shining a bit in awe.
"I didn't realize that you'd be this excited," Toshinori gave him a small smile. "I'm glad I invited you two."
"Thank you again for the invitation, Mr. All Might," Izuka smiled back at him. "It's an honor."
"Ha, no need to thank me."
"Uh," Izuku then realized something about this trip. They already had permission from their mother and the school to be here. But on the other hand, they were both still surprised that he decided to bring them. "Yeah, you're sure it's okay that the two of us came along with you? It's not gonna be a problem?"
"Don't even think twice about it," Toshinori assured the boy. "The invitation was clear, and I'm welcome to bring whoever I want as my guests."
This didn't do much to ease Izuku's worries. "But doesn't that usually mean a family member or-"
Toshinori held up a finger with a grin. "I think you're forgetting that the three of us are connected by something far thicker than blood, Young Midoriya. We will forever share a bond of One for All."
Izuku smiled happily at this and nodded. "Right!"
"Besides, think of all of the cool things you'll get to experience here," Izuka sung a little, sipping her soda. "I'm fairly certain that was another reason he decided to bring us both here."
Izuku's eyes shined as he pressed his face against the window again. "You're so right, thank goodness Mom gave us both some money to spend here...!" He gushed again, Izuka and Toshinori looking towards each other. They blinked and then both giggled to each other from how he was acting.
A ping was then heard, getting their attention. "Attention, passengers. The plane will soon begin its descent to I-Island," As the pilot spoke, Toshinori looked around rapidly and let out a sigh.
"This is gonna be monumentally exhausting..." Smoke came from his body and they watched as he slowly turned into All Might. "Once we go out in public..." He ripped off his clothes to reveal his costume. "I must maintain my muscle form constantly!"
"Makes sense. But please don't strain your body anymore than you have to on this trip. We can cover for you if you need to take a break," Izuka offered while looking up at him and he laughed, causing her to flinch in alarm.
"Thank you for your generous offer, Young Mido! But no need, it's now about time for you two to change as well. You did ask UA if you could bring your costumes along with you, right?"
Izuku gasped happily from the reminder. "Yes!" He answered as the plane was reaching the airport of the island.
Our world is a superhuman society, with about 80 percent of the population possessing some uncanny ability. When our city swirled with chaos and confusion, heroes began to dominate our collective consciousness. And we had new champions to look up to.
Champions that did come with their own rules, but as long as they followed them, they inspired people all around the world. Without them, the country would be filled with civil unrest of how Quirks were supposed to be taken.
All Might laughed while stepping onto a bus, holding onto people while fully facing a crowd. "Fear not, citizens! Hope has arrived!" The man spoke up without hesitation. The hero then gave a big grin from his face. "Because I am here!"
Izuku held up his action figure above his and his sister's head. "He's the coolest in the universe! And once we get our Quirks, we're gonna be heroes, just like him!"
"Sorry, kid, it's not gonna happen," The doctor informed Izuku plain and simple.
"Can you check Izuka ne-"
"NO!" The little girl screamed, balling up her fists and standing up. Her eyes were squeezed shut. The three looked at her in shock for her reaction. "No, I don't wanna know!" She then ran out of the room.
My name is Izuku Midoriya, and I was born without any special power. I was Quirkless. Izuku had tears in his eyes, but wasn't shedding them while pointing at the screen. Inko, the twins' mother, slowly stepped over to him, bending down and hugging her child.
'My name is Izuka Midoriya, and I...was actually born with a Quirk. But I never used it after I got one.' The little girl sat down on her bed, shadow over her eyes as she clutched her dress. She looked up with tears in her eyes as her family opened their own in shock...to see her hands sparking with white-yellowish glitter.
Because of that, I almost gave up on my dream of becoming a hero. But our lives changed completely when we met the number-one pro. The person I'd admired our entire lives. All Might punched the sludge villain, freeing Izuku. All Might.
Because I had gotten a Quirk, I swore to never let Izuku see mine...because I didn't want him to resent me. When Mr. All Might saved us, it was something we could never forget. And then...we learned a huge secret.
"...Is it possible to become a hero, even if I don't have a Quirk? And for my sister to become a hero too when she doesn't want to use her own?"
Izuka let out a small gasp, her eyes shaking from the question being asked by her brother. "Izuku..."
All Might came to a stop, and didn't say anything. "I'm a normal kid without any powers. But my sister has a really awesome Quirk that I want her to use because I desire what's best for her! Could we ever hope to be someone like you?!"
"There are stories of every hero." As the sludge villain was wrecking havoc, the twins could see its victim. "How they became great. Most have one thing in common." Once the twins saw that it was Katsuki in trouble, they rushed over right away to save him. "Their bodies move without a chance to think."
"KACCHAN!" Izuku screamed once the twins reached him, the boy clawing at the sludge as much as he could. It wasn't really doing much, though.
"What the hell? Why are you two here?" Katsuki wondered as Izuka tried to pull at it, but it was like play-doh or something similar to that effect.
Izuku flinched a bit while shedding tears, a fearful smile of his own on his face. "Kacchan...! I couldn't just stand there and watch you die!" He admitted while Izuka closed her eyes.
"And...no matter what I feel towards someone...that doesn't mean that I shouldn't help them..." She murmured and Toshinori grunted with wide eyes at their declarations. Something about those two...it was like a fire sparked within him, regardless of his injury.
Izuka moved her left arm to her right wrist. She slid it backwards as a shooting star appeared as her arrow and she pulled back as far with her crescent moon bow as she could to make sure it'd go at the right speed and direction. Katsuki, Izuku, and Toshinori looked at her in anticipation. Izuku's breath escaped him as well as Katsuki's. She then fired it, the bright star shining as she hit her target, and it caused the sludge around the spot to dissipate. The star flew towards the sky.
Izuku's eyes shook as he tried not to cry from how amazing it was to see her Quirk for the first time in his life. "Izuka..."
The wind blew in Toshinori's hair as he stared down at the twins. "You too can become heroes," He spoke and Izuku continued clutching at his chest. Izuka leaned forward to give her brother a big hug. "There's nothing natural about my ability. I wasn't born with this power. It's a sacred torch that was passed onto me by someone else. I can transfer my Quirk to another. And that's just one facet of my great abilities," A shine came from his hand. "The true name of my power...is One for All."
"One...for...All..." The twins murmured at the name.
"One person who improves the power, then hands it off to another person. It continues to grow as it's passed along. It is this cultivated power that allows me to save those who are in need of a hero. The truth behind my strength. Young Midoriya, you're next. I can give you my ability."
After I received All Might's Quirk, and after Izuka promised to work hard, we enrolled in a prestigious hero course at UA High School. I began running toward my dreams, learning to overcome obstacles and save people with a smile on my face. In order to become the world's greatest hero!
It was honestly so surreal to be enrolled at such a school. And at first...I was really unsure of how I could even apply my Quirk. But now, I'm figuring out who I wanna be as a hero on my own, as I'm now next to become my own Symbol of Light. All while getting past my anxiety and fears...with some help from unexpected people, let's say. But we're aiming to Go Beyond...Plus Ultra style in our own ways!
