Angel: So this OVA's placement is a weird one for me. It was created during season 4, but it takes place in season 3. This is where it's gonna have to go because I don't know what month this episode takes place in for me to place it anywhere else. Plus they use the songs from season 4—but there's nothing alluding to season 4 I don't think. And the wiki says it takes place during the season 3 arc, so that's why I didn't lump it with season 4. I'm treating this as like an extra training episode, so take it as you will.

That does bring a bit of awkwardness because of what just happened last chapter, but also, episode 15 the exam is already taking place, so...that's just gonna have to stay this way. Otherwise, I have no other place to put it.

This world is a superhuman society, with about 80 percent of the population possessing some uncanny ability called a Quirk.

You name it, super speed, strength, flight, anything could be considered a Quirk.

My name is Izuku Midoriya, and I was born Quirkless.

My name is Izuka Midoriya, his twin sister, and I was born with a Quirk called Galaxy.

But our lives completely changed when we met the number one pro, All Might. He transferred his Quirk, One for All, onto me. After that, we enrolled at UA High, the prestigious school known for producing first-class heroes.

I started to change more with time, and gain an understanding of my Quirk, since I never used it after I learned I had it. Mr. All Might helped train me so that one day, I'll become a symbol similar to him. At UA, we met lots of people and are working together to become heroes!

We continued to run towards our dreams, along with the friends we've made in our journey. This is the story of how the two of us became the world's greatest heroes.

It was a sunny day at UA High as the birds chirped.

To prepare for the provisional hero licensing exam coming up, the two of us and our fellow first-years in UA's hero course are going through intense training.

It's a pretty big deal for us to be taking the test in the first place, since it's normally for second-years and third-years.

Katsuki looked bored as Izuku paid close attention to the front. "Here's a useful tip about the big exam," Mr. Aizawa started off to his class. "Most years, you have to rescue someone from a pretend disaster, which can be difficult. So let's prepare now."

He displayed two lists, all of them with names, in the pre-chosen order of where classmates sat per team. Team A consisted of Tsuyu, Tenya, Ochaco, Denki, Eijiro, Fumikage, Shoto, Katsuki, Izuku, Izuka, and Momo. "You'll be split into 2 teams of one having ten and the other eleven. Each group will complete a training exercise together." Team B was Yuga, Mina, Mashirao, Koji, Rikido, Mezo, Kyoka, Hanta, Toru, and Minoru.

Tenya looked up attentively. "It looks like I'm on Team A."

"Ida?" Ochaco smiled from behind. "Tsu, and Mido? We've got this in the bag! I can't wait!"

"We'll just have to do our best, ribbit," Tsuyu smiled while looking over her shoulder.

"We'll kill this thing!" Denki smiled while holding out a fist to Eijiro.

"Oh, we're all over it," Eijiro grinned, pumping his fist with Denki's.

"Teamwork is always incredibly important for our training!" Momo smiled from her seat, gesturing to herself. "So I'm looking forward to looking with you, Tokoyami. And Todoroki and Mido!"

"Sure," Shoto gave a small nod.

"We'll pass for sure, Momo," Izuka glanced back at her with a smile.

"Together, we'll prevail," Fumikage agreed although Katsuki looked pissed while glancing at the twins.

"Ugh. I'm on the same team as that damn nerd?" He growled a little, Izuku staring at him nervously. He then glanced at Izuka. I guess Izuka won't be so bad being on a team with...

Izuku gulped and stayed silent for his sake. Rescue training, huh? I wonder what we'll be doing?

Katsuki and I did experience that Kamino Incident together...maybe it won't be an awful experience? Izuka glanced at Katsuki briefly.

"Now, then," Mr. Aizawa spoke up again. "You'll begin the exercise immediately. Everyone go change into your costumes and regroup at Ground Beta."

Tenya slid his foot while standing in front of everyone. "Alright! As your class representative, I have been designated as the leader of Team A! It should be our goal to complete this rescue mission swiftly, so we don't bring shame to our school! We'll need each of you to bring your absolute best to this training. I will accept no-"

"Yeah, yeah," Denki remarked, hands behind his back. "When is he gonna learn to stop monologuing so much...?"

"If he did, he wouldn't be Ida-San," Izuka gave a small amused giggle.

"Come on, let's just get on with it!" Eijiro called out in excitement.

Momo then stepped up to Tenya. "I understand how eager everyone is to start, but it's important for us to carefully analyze the situation at hand. Then we can plan more effectively."

"You see?" Tenya looked towards the girl proudly. "Yaoyorozu understands!"

She then pulled out a device, pulling out a map of the building they'd be searching. "2 hours ago, a fire broke out on the bottom floor of a large underground shopping mall. Fortunately, the blaze was extinguished, and most everyone present was evacuated. However, we've received word that somewhere inside of this building, there's still one stranded person who needs our assistance."

"Our mission is to rescue that citizen as quickly and safely as possible," Tenya added to the group. "For our purposes, the citizen will be a training dummy."

"Damage from the fire has taken out the underground power lines," Momo informed them next. "Luckily, a backup generator is working."

"That's good," Ochaco took a closer look at the map. "Things will be a lot easier if the lights stay on."

Fumikage then raised a hand while Izuku was looking at his phone. "This boils down to a race against the clock. I propose we split into teams."

"I agree, it'll be slower if we all go in together," Izuka nodded towards Momo and Tenya.

"Hey, this is weird," Izuku looked up from his phone. "I'm not getting any kind of phone signal out here."

"Me neither," Denki blinked in surprise as he and Eijiro checked theirs.

"This thing might as well be dead," Eijiro stared at his in confusion.

"I'm guessing it's no coincidence that our most common form of communication is out for this exercise," Izuku murmured, figuring that it would be too easy if they could communicate down there after splitting up.

Shoot looked up after looking at his own phone. "If that's the case, then we'll need a rendezvous point. As well as a time to meet up there."

"This mall has 6 underground floors," Tsuyu pointed out while rubbing her chin. "What if we go down the central stairwell and search the 1st level in teams? We could meet back at the stairs ten minutes later, then continue to sweep each floor until we find the person who needs to be rescued?" She suggested to her team.

Mr. Aizawa and Recovery Girl were on standby in case anything happened. "Yes! That's a great idea, Tsu," Ochaco was the first to approve.

"I agree!" Izuku also agreed with this plan, and then was taken by surprise to see Katsuki walking off on his own. "Hey, where are you going, Kacchan?"

"Where do you think?" He retorted and then looked back. "I'm gonna track down the stupid citizen who didn't escape in time!"

"Wait, Bakugo!" Tenya protested, waving a hand. "Going on your own ruins our cooperative efforts. We should do as Asui proposed!"

"I told you to call me Tsu," She corrected the class rep.

"...Yes, as Tsu suggests," Tenya recollected himself awkwardly.

"You idiots are the ones saying the search is a race against time," Katsuki pointed out, looking back at the others. "I'll find this dummy while you're still trying to figure out what to do. That's the real difference between you and me..." He then continued to walk without paying them any mind.

"No, don't!" Izuku warned him and Izuka sighed towards him. She already knew this was something he would do. While she could be concerned, she didn't really show it either as she stared at the blond. His line of thinking was flawed, but it was also just his way...

"Yeah, wait up, man! It's dangerous to go alone," Eijiro followed after him, and Denki followed after him. "I'll join you."

"Yeah, guess we better go with him," Denki relented as the others stared.

"But guys, we need some kind of plan," Izuku frowned a little towards them.

"We're good, just meet up at the stairs in ten," Eijiro smiled towards the group.

"We'll make sure Bakugo goes with us, probably," Denki gave a casual wave.

"Um...sure. Okay," Izuku still looked a little hesitant to allow it. They had no idea what this exercise would throw at them. And he certainly didn't want anyone to get hurt in there looking for the training dummy. "Be careful."

"Wow, Bakugo never changes, does he?" Ochaco sighed a little awkwardly.

"So self-centered," Fumikage frowned towards Katsuki.

"At the very least, he's cooperating with the plan...somewhat," Izuka commented as she stared after them, crossing her arms. She furrowed her eyebrows in thought towards Katsuki curiously. Katsuki's taking this really seriously, huh? I guess being kidnapped really changes a person...even if he refuses to talk about that with me. But self-centered? I'm not sure if that's really what's going on with him, he would've refused to let Kirishima-San and Kaminari-San join him if he wanted to do this alone.

Tenya turned back to the others nervously. "Uh, anyway! The clock is still ticking! Let's split up and begin our searches as well!"

"I've been thinking about what Quirks will compliment each other," Momo spoke up to the others. "We can group Midoriya with Uraraka and Asui. And Mido with Todoroki and Tokoyami." The girl smiled a bit towards her team. At least she wasn't expected to go with Katsuki like usual. "If everyone agrees with that, then Ida and I will make up the final pairing."

"I see," Izuku rubbed his chin in thought. "That's smart, each group is well balanced based on what our Quirks can do. Asui will be able to navigate any terrain we might end up facing. Uraraka's gravity will be useful. And I'll provide power. With the three of us, we could rescue someone even if they're stuck under a mountain of debris. Which might end up being the case," His eyes went wide as he went into one of his muttering phases. "Likewise, Ida's got speed and Yaoyorozu has her versatile creations at work. With their brains and ability, I have no doubt those two will solve any problem they might run into underground. And then there's the team of Todoroki, Tokoyami, and Izuka. Dark Shadow's search capabilities and strength are perfect for this. While Todoroki's half-cold, half-hot will be extremely handy in a disaster area. Plus, Dark Shadow's main weak point is that it's hard to control in the dark. But the light from flames will keep him at bay. And Izuka can not only provide support and defense, but can help get them to high distances with her flying ability. She could even use that for debris removal. I can't believe she figured this out so quickly. The only problem I can see is with us. The emergency power cuts out and everything goes black, our group will be in the dark. None of the three of us can produce light, but maybe if we were to-"

"Deku?" Ochaco tapped his shoulder. "You're rambling! DEKU!"

He yelped from her loud shout, getting his attention back. He then saw that his team was now the only one outside. "Where's everybody else?!"

"They left already," Ochaco informed the green-haired boy, much to his shock. He didn't even hear the footsteps of his classmates and sister leaving. "Mido tried to get you to stop, but had to leave with her team. She wished us luck finding the dummy, though."

"We should start searching too, you think?" Tsuyu asked him with a finger on her chin.

"Ah! Yeah, of course! Let's get this citizen rescued quickly!" He then walked with the girls to head inside.

"This place is huge!" Ochaco said in awe as they started to explore, walking down the escalator.

"Yeah," Tsuyu agreed as the floor was lit enough for them to see, but it was still a bit dark in a few areas.

"Yeah," Izuku murmured in agreement with his team, leading the way. "But it's brighter than I suspected. We shouldn't have any problems searching like this."

"Okay, but where do we start looking?" Ochaco wondered to the green-haired boy. The area was very spacious, so searching it like this would take a lot of time. Not enough to regroup with the others, at least.

"The fire started on the bottom floor of the mall. That means the person we need to rescue probably tried to head up to the surface when they saw smoke. Since they didn't make it out, there's a possibility that they're trapped somehow. Maybe behind some fire shutters," Izuku theorized to the two girls. He found a map and then pointed to a specific area. "We should focus on places close to the stairs."

"Right!" Ochaco stated as he turned to them for confirmation.

"Ribbit!"

Momo and Tenya were walking down a dark floor, though Tenya had a flashlight Momo had created. "I don't see any trace in this section," He reported to her as they didn't see any clues that would lead to the training dummy.

"We should keep looking until our allotted time is up," She suggested with a serious expression on her face.

Shoto was carrying a flame in his hand as he, Izuka, and Fumikage searched their floor. "Tokoyami, will this be bright enough for you? We can have Mido summon some fire too if you need it."

"I'm controlling Dark Shadow comfortably," He answered to his classmates.

"Well, if anything happens, just let us know, okay?" Izuka glanced over her shoulder as she led the way with some light of her own. She then turned her direction back up ahead. "Hmm, not really getting a sense of where to find the dummy," The short girl looked around slowly as they walked.

"I'm surprised your concern isn't towards the others," Shoto stared at the girl, as she would be worrying over the others non-stop. The girl hummed and gave a small smile at the acknowledgment of how she used to be.

"I have faith in the other teams. Even Katsuki. Sure, he can be highly opinionated of himself and he has a lot of issues as a person. But deep down, he has a great understanding of heroics. He just tends to act first instead of remembering it sometimes. Besides, he's the last person I'd be freaked out over in this situation," She stated, keeping her eyes forward.

"I didn't mention Bakugo, but it is interesting that you brought him up," Shoto stared at her curiously. In fact, he'd say that outside of Izuku, Katsuki was the boy she had the closest connection with. And he knew that from Katsuki's side, he tended to be very protective of the girl from anything and any boy. Maybe Katsuki thought because of Fumikage, he didn't need to feel jealous this time around...

"Uh?" She then blushed, her entire face red. "W-well...that's because...of nothing! Because anyone else I could apply almost the same things!" She was quick to explain, her eyes wide. Fumikage and Shoto just stared at her as they knew that she absolutely meant Katsuki, but could still tell she knew the others could get through the exercise.

"Hey, slow down!" Denki called out to Katsuki picking up speed. "It's like you're trying to lose us." He then blinked and gave him a teasing smirk. "It's because you wanna get back to your girlfriend Mido, huh? You worried about her?"

"Say that again and you're dead!" Katsuki growled at him angrily. "And I didn't tell you guys to follow me!" He then whipped back around to continue walking, as if what Denki said about Izuka he didn't hear at all. Mainly so he could regain his focus back.

"Can't you see it, dude?" Eijiro placed a hand on Denki's shoulder, getting the boy's attention. "Bakugo's not worried about her because both of them are on the same level. He's got a lot of respect and trust in her skills. Course, he'd never say it."

Katsuki stared up ahead in silence. So she's not as weak as she was before, so what? She's still Deku's sister, but she can at least put up a good fight every now and then.

Izuku, Ochaco, and Tsuyu came to a stop, looking around at the closed stores. "Every shop down here is shuttered..." Ochaco pointed out while scoping the area, which made it hard to tell where they were going.

"It's like we're navigating a maze..." Tsuyu murmured in thought, a finger on her chin.

"The stairs should be-" Suddenly, the floor started to shake, interrupting Izuku. All of them yelped while bracing themselves.

"What's that?" Ochaco asked in alarm as they looked around.

"Not good," Tenya held out an arm in front of Momo as the same thing was happening in the entire building.

"Is that an earthquake?" Shoto, Fumikage, and Izuka glanced up at the ceiling.

"Not possible, this doesn't feel like one," Izuka frowned a little.

"Ah, why's it shaking? Make it stop!" Denki cried out while hugging an irritated Katsuki's arm.

"Get your hands off of me, dammit!" He screamed at the boy. The floor in front of them then started to crack, heading towards them.

"The floor!" Eijiro yelped and then the lights went off entirely.

"The power!" Izuku gritted his teeth, as he knew that this would happen.

The floor then started to cave in underneath Tsuyu's feet, causing her to fall. "Ribbit!" She cried out while unable to regain her footing.

"Asui!" Izuku cried out while looking over his shoulder.

"Oh no!" Ochaco yelled, holding out a hand.

The ceiling then started to cave in on them. Izuku bent down, gritting his teeth. One for All, Full Cowling! He jumped up into the air, swinging his leg backwards to prepare himself. Shoot Style! He then kicked the rocks into pieces. Izuku landed as they fell around them, but then the floor caved in underneath him. "Uh-oh!"

Ochaco ran over to help him, reaching out her hand. "Deku-!" Then she started to fall through the floor, which completely caved in and took the three with it. Debris fell to cover up some pathways, smoke appearing everywhere.

Some pieces of rock fell once everything stopped falling. "Deku?" Ochaco called out to him. "Wake up!"

He slowly opened his eyes to see the brunette looking over him in concern. He then realized he wasn't on solid ground, taking a closer look to see Ochaco used her Quirk on both of them. "Am I floating...?"

"Are you okay? You're not hurt, are you?" She questioned instead of answering him.

"Uh, no. I think I'm fine. Thanks," He looked around to see a ton of rocks underneath them. "If you hadn't saved me, this would've been bad..." He could've been buried in the rocks and then died from lack of oxygen...

"It was nothing," She waved her hands bashfully. "Oh! I'll release now," She pressed her hands together and they landed safely. Albeit, when Ochaco stood up, she stumbled a bit. She bumped into Izuku's arm and they turned to look at each other. The two stared into their eyes for a few seconds before turning away, blushing. "So, uh...what floor is this?" She asked a bit awkwardly as he pulled out his phone, trying to regain focus. Though if Mina had seen this, she would've never let Ochaco live it down. For now, she'd ignore the feelings she had stirring up in favor of completing the exercise. "I don't know how far we dropped."

Izuku turned on the flashlight from his phone. "Yeah, me neither. We should figure out where we are before anything else." He then realized that they were still missing a member. "Wait, hold on! Where'd Asui go?!"

"Call me Tsu," She pointed out while appearing right in front of them. "Please." He screamed in alarm from her sudden appearance, leaving her confused. "Ribbit?"

"Oh, I'm so glad you're alright!" Ochaco sighed a little in relief.

"Thanks, but this isn't going very well for us," Tsuyu turned around to the damaged area. "There's mountains of debris everywhere. I don't see any way for us to get out of here. Even the ceiling's blocked!"

Izuku pointed his phone up at the ceiling to confirm. "You're right. We need to find another exit."

"I know!" Ochaco piped up, swinging her arm around. "Why don't you use your super strength to blast the cement out of the way in one punch?"

"That's not a good idea, Ochaco," Tsuyu pointed out to her.

"Uh? Oh, it isn't?" Ochaco wondered in confusion.

"If you listen carefully, you'll learn why," Tsuyu gestured to her ear. Ochaco listened in closely to hear crumbling sounds in the distance.

"What is it?"

"The building's unstable," Izuku explained with a small frown. "There must be more parts of the ceiling crumbling throughout the mall."

"Yes," Tsuyu nodded at his explanation. "Which means if we're not careful clearing a path, we could cause the whole structure to collapse on us." And since Izuku's Shoot Style usually sent out a huge gust of wind, that wasn't going to get them out.

"In that case...we'll have to move the rubble out of the way one piece at a time," Izuku turned around to Ochaco. "If we use your Zero Gravity, it shouldn't take us too long!"

"Right!" She nodded sharply, clenching her fists. "Leave it to me!"

"Hello?!" A voice that didn't come from the three of them called out as an echo. They all blinked while looking up in confusion. "Can anybody hear me?!" It was faint, but they could tell who it was.

"Deku," Ochaco turned to him in realization. "That sounds like..."

"Yaoyorozu's voice!" He finished as they listened again for her.

"Hello? Is anyone down here?! Please, Ida's been injured!" She reported and Izuku flinched from the news.

"Ida's...hurt?!"

"I think it's coming from that way," Tsuyu pointed up ahead.

"Yaoyorozu!" Izuku hollered to the girl. "It's Midoriya! Uraraka and Asui-" Tsuyu turned around to give him a look for using her last name once again. "I mean, Tsu are here too! Stay put, we're heading your way now!"

"Midoriya? Please, hurry!" Momo urged as she needed assistance.

"You should cover the ceiling in glue to keep any of it from falling on you two!" He warned the girl, since she probably didn't hear the noises from the debris.

"Yes, I will!"

Izuka, Shoto, and Fumikage were walking up stairs together as she guided the way. As they were almost there, she felt something underneath a step and suddenly the section she was standing on crumbled beneath her. She yelped as she fell through the stairs, but managed to stop herself by using her elbows on the part she used to be standing on. Fumikage and Shoto looked at her in alarm.

"Are you okay?" Shoto asked the girl, who blew a stray bang away from her face.

"...Aside from my arms killing me, I'm fine," She groaned out a little. They moved over to help as she was keeping up the rest of her body. Both of them took one arm and pulled her backwards safely onto a stair that wouldn't crumble. "Oh, thank you," She sighed in relief as she got back onto her feet, dusting herself.

"We must be cautious from here on out," Fumikage warned the both of them while looking up ahead. "More instances like that are sure to occur."

"Yeah, you're right. Let's find a place to catch our breath and figure out a plan," The girl placed a hand on her racing heart to calm herself down. As they sat down, they heard the noises and she looked up, heaving a sigh.

"It's been about ten minutes since the shaking stopped," Shoto looked at his phone while Fumikage checked Izuka for any scrapes. She had a few splinters on her skirt and boots, but didn't seem to be injured. "And there were no aftershocks. It wasn't an earthquake. Instead, I'm guessing that the mall's structural integrity has been compromised."

"Thank you...for earlier," Fumikage spoke up to the two. "If you hadn't created a sheet of ice over my head or that star platform to carry me...I would be buried under debris right now," Fumikage glanced towards the floor below the staircase, which had caved in.

"That's what friends are for, right?" Shoto simply responded back. "Don't worry about it."

"He's right, we're a team, and we look out for each other, Tokoyami-San," Izuka smiled a little towards him. "You would've done the same if it was one of us."

"What about you? Are you alright?" Fumikage moved back after checking on her.

"I'm okay thanks to you both," She nodded in confirmation to her classmate, dusting off the splinters.

"Still, though. It'll be hard to escape without light," Shoto pointed out with a small frown.

"Yes," Fumikage nodded a little and looked up at the ceiling. "And obviously, Dark Shadow is difficult to handle in these conditions. I might lose control."

"Which would cause more of the building to collapse. Got it," Shoto crossed his arms.

"I could use my Quirk if you make continuous flames, that would weaken me," Fumikage suggested to the two.

"I'd rather not," Shoto denied as Fumikage looked back up ahead. "If I start a fire and there's no airflow from outside, it could use up all our oxygen. We could get carbon monoxide poisoning," He then looked at his left hand. "Unless it's absolutely necessary, we should avoid fire at all costs."

"And I know better than to use fire in places that will cause a disaster," Izuka closed her eyes with a sigh, hugging her knees. The Kamino Incident came to mind, when she told Katsuki to not use his explosion for similar reasons. "I could use my shooting star, but since stars burn up, that would eventually cause fire to appear if it takes too long to get out of here."

"There's no way we can continue the training exercise now," Fumikage spoke up to them. "The teachers will come. If we remain calm, then we should be fine."

"Maybe...that's the likeliest scenario. But there's also the possibility that this collapse was part of the training exercise from the beginning," He explained to the two.

"Escaping a secondary disaster..."

"If what Todoroki's saying is true..." Izuka started off as she looked up at the ceiling. "Then it's likely that the others are thinking the same thing, and are probably finding their own way out. This isn't something that could be said as an accident. Mr. Aizawa is pushing us to go beyond, so of course there'd be some stakes."

"Whatever the case may be, I'm worried about our classmates," Shoto stated with a small frown. "We didn't get hurt. But that shaking was intense, so..." He got onto his feet. "We need to make sure everybody's okay."

"Agreed," Fumikage stood up as well, followed by Izuka. "Their safety should be our new priority."

"In that case, let's hope no one's been seriously injured...if they are, it's gonna be a large task to get them back up to the outside..." Izuka murmured while looking up at the ceiling.

On another floor, piles of rocks were everywhere. Several of them fell to the ground before something shook from a pile. Eijiro busted out of the pile, holding up his arms. "Man, being buried is terrible!" He cried out before he bent down to an area nearby. "Hey, Kaminari. You still alive?" He pulled out Denki a few seconds later by the arm.

"Uh, I think so," He groaned out and they took a look around. The floor was pretty much trashed, and they could see one of the few things that remained intact was an All Might statue.

"Ah, Bakugo was amazing back there!" Eijiro exclaimed as they walked around, recalling what happened. "If he hadn't blasted the ceiling as it was falling, breaking it up into tiny pieces...things could've been a lot more painful for us," He smirked a little, hands on his hips.

"Take some credit too, man," Denki reminded him, earning a look of confusion. "You're the one who used your Hardening to protect me from the shards that flew out of the explosion," He then gave a sheepish look. "If you think about it, I'm the only one who hasn't helped anyone yet. I'm just dead weight."

"Aw, man," The red-haired boy gave him an encouraging smile. "Don't be so hard on yourself."

"Huh!" They heard a familiar scoff. "Could you be stupider?" They turned to see Katsuki approaching from the darkness.

"Bakugo!"

"Aw, hey, you didn't have to say that to my face," Denki complained towards the blond. "Give me a break! I know I'm not the smartest kid in class, but come on!"

"Shut up, you moron," Katsuki snarled a little again.

"You said it again!" Denki exclaimed in disbelief; though, he should've known that Katsuki would do that since he didn't like being told what to do.

"Listen. Your power's the one we need from here on out," The hot-headed boy stated seriously and pointed towards Denki. "You don't even know that, sparkplug? Think for once!"

Denki gave him a soft smile. It was still rude, but wasn't lost on him either. "You mean it?"

Katsuki turned away, hands on his hips. "Don't use your Quirk until I tell you to."

"Okay," Eijiro turned towards Denki after hearing this. "What do we do now?"

"Sorta obvious, isn't it?" The blond boy gave a small shrug. "We gotta find a way to get out of this place. We should forget about that dummy and save ourselves. We're kinda the ones who need to be rescued at this point, you know?"

"The teachers have to know what's going on down here, don't they?" Eijiro pointed out to him. "Which means they'll come save us if we just hang tight."

"I hope so," Denki gave a nervous expression towards the ground. They were so far down in the layout of the building that Mr. Aizawa would have to call for back-up. And it would take a while for all of the teachers to get here. "Plus, if we're not careful, we could cause more damage. That'd be bad." He heard footsteps walking away, looking up in surprise to see Katsuki leaving. "Where are you going?!"

"Where do you think?!" Katsuki retorted without stopping for them. "I'm gonna track down the stupid citizen who didn't escape in time!"

"Hey, wait up, this is just training. There's not a real person," Denki called out to him, as he didn't see why they had to keep looking when they were caved in. And they were likely to cause one if they kept looking. Risking their lives for a training dummy just didn't seem important to him. "Don't risk our lives just to prove you can save some doll. We should stay here and wait for help to show up."

Katsuki briefly looked over his shoulder. "All Might or Izuka would keep searching," He replied to the both, shocking Denki. "I don't care if it's training or not," The fight of All Might and Izuka against All for One played in his mind. "Both of them would save the person who needed help. If the number one hero and the person who pushed herself to help him would keep on fighting, then I'm gonna do the same thing," He then turned to them fully. "I don't need anyone to come save me. I'll do the rescuing myself."

And with that, he turned around and left again. "Hey, wait a sec! You're getting way too worked up!" Denki warned, though his shock was still hitting him. Out of all of the reasons to continue, he didn't think Izuka would be one of them.

"Don't worry, man," Eijiro smiled while starting to follow. "I've got your back."

"Not you too!" Denki protested towards him.

"He makes sense," Eijiro grinned as he turned around. "Once we get our provisional licenses, we'll be doing real hero work on the streets, right? And when that happens, we might end up in tough situations like this one. Would a pro leave someone who needs rescuing and run away to save himself? That's not very manly. Crimson Riot would never be such a coward! So that's why I'm going with you!" He turned his grin towards Katsuki, who was staring at them both.

"Okay, now you're getting way too worked up," Denki warned the red-haired boy.

Katsuki smirked towards Eijiro. "Let's do this! Just don't get in my way, spiky hair."

"Yeah!" Eijiro gave him a thumbs up. "You got it! Just lead the way!"

"Seriously?" Denki looked at them in disbelief. "Did you both get hit in the head earlier?" He then yelped as he saw the two leaving. "Wait for me! I'm coming too! I don't wanna be left alone down here!"

Eijiro then gave a soft smile towards Katsuki knowingly. Bakugo knows Mido more than anyone else in our class outside of Midoriya. He must've realized that she would've done the same thing he's doing now if she was here. They've both inspired each other a lot since coming to UA, huh? Ever since both of them had been students, Izuka had become more confident. And Katsuki was becoming protective and recognizing other people's worth like she did.

"What the hell are you smiling for?" Katsuki grunted while looking back at him.

"Oh, it's nothing, man," Eijiro waved a rapid hand.

Ochaco used her Quirk on some debris to make it float. It went over her head and into Izuku's waiting hands. He then passed it over to Tsuyu, who put it in a pile. She turned around while waiting for the next rock. The next one Ochaco touched revealed a hole in the wall. Momo appeared in front of it seconds later with a relieved smile on her face.

"Thank goodness!" She cried out happily to see them.

Once they were through, they all looked down at Tenya. He was unconscious, and Momo had created a first-aid kit to treat him. His leg and head both had bandages around them. "Poor Ida," Izuku frowned towards his friend.

"It happened so fast," Momo spoke up to the three.

The ceiling started to cave in and she looked up with a gasp. There was no time to dodge the debris, either. Before she knew it, Tenya sped up towards the girl.

"WATCH OUT!" He shouted as he dove to push her out of the way. Momo let out a yelp and a stray rock hit Tenya in the leg, breaking off the armor. The two rolled to a stop, but unfortunately, Tenya hit the wall. His helmet came flying off as well. Momo looked down at him in a panic.

"He injured his leg protecting me. Then took a hit to the head," Momo's eyes softened towards him. Her assistance was only temporary, and he needed to get out of here so he could be treated. "I feel bad, but his condition seems stable. And I was at least able to administer first aid to his leg."

Tenya then flinched, causing her to gasp. "Can you hear us?" Ochaco asked him gently, but he didn't wake up.

"Hang in there, Ida," Tsuyu spoke up gently.

"We...we have to hurry and save..." He murmured, though his eyes were still closed.

"So like him..." Izuku sighed a little fondly. Of course Tenya would be worried about doing a good job and not worry about himself, even though he couldn't even move. "He's still thinking of the rescue even in this delirious state."

"We need to get him somewhere safe as quickly as we can," Tsuyu stared at her classmate.

"How, when we're trapped in here?" Ochaco turned to the green-haired girl.

"It would take hours to move each piece of debris individually," Momo looked towards the pile of rubble Izuku, Tsuyu, and Ochaco had moved to reach them. "We're so far away from the surface."

Izuku rubbed his chin in thought. "Mm..." He then looked up as he got an idea. "There are elevators in the building, though!" Momo made room for her body to make something. Ochaco touched Tenya with her Quirk. "If the elevator shafts didn't cave in..." Momo had created a gurney. Tsuyu tied Tenya to it so that he could be gently moved. "We can use Uraraka's Quirk to float straight to the first floor." She then touched more rocks from the debris for them to move. "This isn't training anymore. It's a real rescue. We're getting Ida out no matter what!"

"Yeah!" The three girls chanted in determination.

We'll definitely save him. We have to! Izuku thought, knowing that if it was him, Tenya wouldn't hesitate to help either.

A gloved hand cut through metal to make a circle into a door. Eijiro then pulled it back so that they could jump inside. The room, as like the rest of the building, was still pretty dark. "This is the bottom floor of the mall," Eijiro reported to the two, assessing all of the damage. "Level B-6."

"Aw, dude," Denki stepped up with a small frown. "What a mess. How are we supposed to find someone with all this crap on the ground?"

Katsuki then walked up to them. "Find the area that doesn't look like it's taken damage," He instructed the both of them.

"I don't know why that matters, but..." Eijiro turned to his left and pointed. "That spot over there looks pretty clear. The walls are still intact, at least." He was pointed to an area that still had debris, but some cracks were in the walls and the pillars were slightly cracked.

"Then let's go," Katsuki walked towards that spot.

"Okay," Eijiro agreed without questioning it further. Mainly because for all that Katsuki said and did, the boy also wasn't stupid. So he knew that Katsuki was onto something here.

"How come?" Denki still didn't understand. "Why there?"

"You moron," Katsuki kept his eyes focused up ahead. "Anyone with a brain would guess the most fortified place is where the emergency power supply should be located." He found the room and then kicked the door open. It fell to the ground seconds later, smoke filling the area. "There we go," He stepped inside once he found what he wanted. "Still managed to get pretty banged up...okay, idiot. Time to make yourself useful."

"Uh? Who, me?" Denki pointed to himself in confusion.

Katsuki grabbed the wires from the control panel. "Yeah, get over here and use your electricity to juice up this power supply!"

"Uh," Denki gave a small smile of understanding. "Right!" He couldn't believe this didn't hit him before as he looked on with a proud smile. I get it now. Bakugo wants to fix the emergency power to make it easier for our classmates to escape! He didn't think Katsuki would even bother doing this, since he used to not care about whether or not his class was around or not aside from the Midoriyas. But now, he was actively helping them, even if he would say that he was only doing it to find the training dummy.

Katsuki gritted his teeth in annoyance towards the boy. "Quit dragging your feet or I'll freakin' murder you!" He waved a finger, daring Denki to waste more time.

"Okay, okay," The boy answered nervously, grabbing the wires with a small laugh. "Ha! If that's all I gotta do...then this is a piece of cake. Stand back, you guys. Take this!" He then stood up, his body surrounded in electricity. "All-Out Shock 2 Million Volts!"

Katsuki smacked him so hard that he was spinning. "The battery's gonna break if you put in that much power!" He screamed out in anger.

"Cool! Yeah, let me try again," Denki then looked a lot more focused as he held the wires. Okay. Let's do this thing. His power then sparked from his hands. Rapid charging!

Izuku, Momo, Ochaco, and Tsuyu were still moving rocks. Tsuyu looked up as she placed one away. "That should be enough."

"I hope so," Ochaco said while pressing her fingers together. The pile that they had moved fell to the ground. Momo then looked at her map of the building.

"We're getting close. We should be at the elevator soon at this rate," She told the others in relief.

Ochaco then fell to the ground, looking sick as she covered her mouth. "Uraraka, are you alright?" Izuku asked her in concern. "Are you feeling sick?"

She looked back while gagging a little. "I'll be fine, honest. The important thing is that we save Ida. Besides, if this is too much for me, I definitely won't pass the licensing exam...Mido pushes her limit no problem. I need to do the same too!"

Izuku blinked and then smiled a little. Even if the fight with All for One was still controversial, Izuka still managed to inspire those she was close with. He was glad to see Ochaco pushing herself not just for Tenya, but because she considered Izuka someone to look up to in order to do so.

"I know you can do this, Ochaco," Tsuyu bent down to her. "Hang in there, okay?"

She looked up ahead with a smile. "Yeah, I can! Just go Plus Ultra...and push through!"

Izuku dropped his smile as he looked over his shoulder towards the debris. A little further...we're so close!

Fumikage, Izuka, and Shoto had their own to get past as they looked up towards the rocks. "If only Uraraka or Yaoyorozu were here, this would be easy..." Shoto murmured while assessing the situation.

"Luckily, we have some light," Fumikage glanced towards Izuka. She turned to them with a small smile, opening up her palm to reveal a shooting star. She then pointed it up ahead, staring at the mess that was in front of them.

"It's not much, but it'll do. But moving it is gonna take time..." The short girl sighed a little. "Maybe if we focus on a particular area, it could help us out here."

"Well, we can't do anything about what we don't have. But Mido's right," Shoto stated and then gestured her to a specific area. She held out her star towards it so he could get a better look. "Right here. Push!" They all pushed at the same time, but the pressure caused that spot to break. "Oh no!"

They all stepped back as the rocks crumbled in front of them. "Todoroki! Mido!" Fumikage shouted and a rampaging Dark Shadow appeared from his body. Shoto held Izuka close as he moved them backwards and then jumped out of the way. Dark Shadow was losing control once again while creating more damage. "Calm yourself, Dark Shadow!" Fumikage struggled to keep it at bay as it let out a huge roar.

"Tokoyami-San!" Izuka cried out to him from her spot.

"Huh," Izuku murmured as he heard the noise, and then gasped as they felt shaking.

"It's shaking again!" Tsuyu looked towards the ground.

More rocks started to fall and Izuku ran right towards them. "Deku!" Ochaco screamed in worry as he didn't stop.

It's now or never! One for All, Full Cowling! He jumped up and kicked at the rocks to spread them apart.

Shoto hugged Izuka tight as he hit the wall hard. Izuka gasped as she felt him go limp above her head.

"Oh no!" She looked up at him in concern, releasing his hold on her while checking over him.

"Todoroki!" Fumikage shouted as he looked at them. The girl looked over her shoulder in a panic. "Quiet down, Dark Shadow!"

Izuka got onto her feet, looking back at Shoto in concern and bit her lip. She really hoped he was okay, but she also had to stop Dark Shadow as well. The girl quickly covered Shoto with star shields just in case and then ran off towards her classmate.

"No, don't come any closer!" Fumikage warned while holding out a hand.

She didn't listen and then jumped up into the air. "It'll be fine!" She assured, cupping her hands together as light appeared. Once she reached Dark Shadow, she moved her hands so that they were in front of the entity. The light hit him straight on, causing it to yelp out in pain, but it wasn't enough. She landed safely as she looked up in alarm to see that her attack only weakened him. Dark Shadow then loomed over her and she winced, bracing herself.

"Mido, no! You have to control yourself, Dark Shadow!" Before he could cause any more damage, the emergency power came on. Dark Shadow went away in seconds and Fumikage fell to the ground. Izuka looked up in confusion to see the lights and then gasped sharply.

"Tokoyami-San!" She rushed over, hopping on some rocks to help her get closer. Once she reached her classmate, she sat next to him, shaking him a little. "Are you okay? Talk to me!"

He opened his eyes and looked up to see the normal Dark Shadow looking apologetic. Izuka turned to the entity as well as he whimpered.

"We...profusely apologize for having you de-escalate the situation. And we're very grateful. Thank you," Fumikage closed his eyes as he bowed his head to her. Dark Shadow did the same thing and she gave a small smile, waving a hand.

"You don't have to do any of that...if anything, I'm just glad that you're okay. And that the emergency power came on, too," She looked up towards the ceiling.

"Still...it would've been my fault. If the power hadn't come back on, who knows what could've transpired?" He closed his eyes grimly. "You had your shot, and yet you didn't push yourself to use a larger amount of light. Why?"

"Well, it would've been a lot worse than what just happened...but I also knew that no matter what, you would've stopped Dark Shadow." He gasped while looking up at her petting Dark Shadow on the head. "It only acted out because of the debris, not because you had ill intentions. Besides, Todoroki is still with us. So let's not worry about what could've happened and find the others," She smiled as she stood up, holding out a hand. "Okay?"

He blinked at her incredibly at her blind faith that he would've stopped right before he could've seriously injured her. He had very little faith in that scenario happening if he wasn't stopped by the power. But at the same time...he wanted to believe it as well.

"...You're right. We should focus on our shared goal, Mido," He grabbed her hand and she pulled him up, smiling.

Izuku landed, panting as he recollected himself. He then looked up in surprise at the lights. "The lights are back!"

"Aw, yeah!" Eijiro grinned, pumping his fists. "Emergency power back online!"

"Now we just have to find that stupid dummy," Katsuki snarled a little.

"Yeah!" The red-haired boy then looked up in confusion. "What about all that rumbling earlier?"

"Ignore it," Katsuki quickly glanced at Denki, who was now at his limit. "Let's move!"

"Right!"

"Yay...wait for me, you guys..." Denki murmured in his dunce face phase.

Izuka and Fumikage bent down to Shoto. "Hang in there, Todoroki. You're gonna be okay."

"Luckily, I don't see a cut..." Izuka examined his head, sighing. "Momo could've created a first-aid kit, but none of us have one. We'll just have to improvise if he's got any serious injuries."

"Mm..." Shoto groaned, getting her attention. "I'm sorry. I think I blacked out for a bit there."

"You're okay!" Izuka gave him a look of relief.

"Dark Shadow went wild. Please forgive me," Fumikage reported with a frown.

"...No, there's no need to apologize," He then glanced towards Izuka. "Are you alright, Mido? You didn't get hurt?"

"No...you saved my life. Thank you," She gave him a grateful smile.

"It was nothing," He then turned to the pile of debris, which actually had a way for them to get out thanks to a spot where there was no rocks. "It worked out in the end."

We thought we were safe. Izuku stood in front of the elevator shaft. But our trials were far from over. He kicked the doors off and they fell to the ground. He looked up, hearing the crash and then seeing a light at the top.

Even though things seemed fine now...we still had a few obstacles in our way.

The rescue training for the provisional licensing exam...no, the actual test of whether or not we could survive...was about to begin.

Shoto and Katsuki's teams were still stuck themselves with their own goals ahead of them.

And we had no idea.

We should've seen this coming...but this would be do-or-die from now on.

The walls cracked, and water leaked out from them...the pressure started to increase as well.
