Angel: Will the ending of this story differ from the manga and anime? If we're talking about just Izuku, uhhh, don't know. The anime could end the exact same as the manga or they might switch things up with him specifically, who knows? I think I would have to wait until the anime ends to fully answer that. Which I am nowhere close to, I'm still writing the 3rd movie. If the question refers to how everyone else ends up, there will be changes but I can't elaborate on them because spoilers. I don't hate how the manga ended, but let's just say that there were at least 2 points of…contention I personally have that I'm not okay with in canon to the point where I'm changing it.

Someone asked me to help out with opposing Netflix on having Voltron removed…I am flattered, but I have no power over what Netflix does, not that I use it anyway. And just myself saying so won't change the decision. I'm not even a huge fan of Voltron tbh, not that I agree it needs to be removed. But I think we're giving me too much credit here lol

Hero work studies. Experience-oriented off-campus programs that allow students in the hero course who have provisional licenses to work with pros at their agencies.

As someone who's not participating in one, it kills me that I can't have that same experience, and it would help further me as a future pro hero.

Now that I have my provisional license, things will be different than they were in my previous internship, when I fought against Hero Killer Stain.

Internships allowed us students to go through entry-level work—well, for most of the class they did. Fighting Stain was something no other student could admit to doing.

I'll be able to use my Quirk under the guidance of a pro, and I can even be dispatched to fight villains and help out at disaster areas.

Meanwhile, I'll be supporting my brother during his work study, since I didn't earn my license. Instead, I have to earn mine through a three-month course that has to be concurrent with my current studies at UA.

If my work study goes well, I could be invited by the hero I work with to be their sidekick. I might even be scouted by famous pro heroes, who are always on the lookout for new talent.

It's a big opportunity that I hope Izuku can utilize well in the future. The same thing goes for the rest of my classmates who did earn their licenses.

Encouraged by Mirio Togata, a member of UA's Big Three, I decided to try my luck with the agency of All Might's former sidekick, Sir Nighteye. But getting in won't be easy...

Mr. All Might was reluctant to introduce him to Mr. Nighteye, so he enlisted the help of Togata-San. I really hope Izuku gets in!

"If you wanna be acknowledged by him, here's a little tip. You need to do one important thing at this meeting: make him laugh," Mirio advised Izuku outside of Sir Nighteye's agency. "Then he'll totally approve of you!"

The door then slammed open, revealing Mirio and Izuku. 'He wants to laugh? I can do that.'

He then adjusted his face...to look like All Might's face. 'In order to become the number-one hero!' "I'm Izuku Midoriya," He put on an All Might impression as well. Sir Nighteye did not look impressed or wanting to laugh, he just kept his intense stare towards the boy.

"What is this, boy?" He asked, not amused in the slightest. "Are you ridiculing All Might?"

Izuku twitched nervously at his unsuccessful attempt.

'No!' Mirio gasped a little. 'He's not funny!'

Sir Nighteye stared at Izuku in disapproval. "The nerve," He then fully turned towards Izuku, the tickle machine being turned off. "What are you doing with your face?" Izuku flinched, nervous as hell, but kept the All Might face on. It was definitely not going the way that he wanted it to... "Is this a joke to you?"

"Uhh, no, I guess not?" Izuku still kept up the voice as well.

"You attempted this blasphemous excuse of an impression on All Might's former sidekick?" Sir Nighteye demanded while stepping forward. He reached out his hand to grab at Izuku's face, examining the boy closer. "All Might's wrinkles aren't like this at all. You fool." Izuku couldn't even move as he stared up at the man, baffled. "In his early days, his crows' feet were 0.6 centimeters long," He was referring to some All Might figurines back in the day. "From the Silver Age on, they were 0.8. These days, even unlicensed merchandise manages to have the correct wrinkles in the correct era," He then looked Izuku in the eye, his glasses reflecting the boy's face. "But you don't even know that much?"

Izuku gasped sharply as he saw all of the All Might merchandise Sir Nighteye had around his office. Every corner of his office is filled with All Might gear! He was honestly kind of jealous and then he yelped, looking at something behind Sir Nighteye's desk. The 10th anniversary poster that was never on sale for the public! I want it! There's no other way to put it. This man is definitely a serious All Might fanboy!

As Sir Nighteye released him, he blinked rapidly. He never thought he'd meet another All Might fanboy on his level. Katsuki and Izuka were fans of the hero too, but not to Izuku's level. And Izuka had stopped focusing on heroes for years when they were four. Even currently, she didn't have much hero merchandise because she preferred to decorate with her paintings.

"I don't care for this one bit," Sir Nighteye spoke up with disdain. "You can see yourself out."

"The vinegar river incident," Izuku suddenly said, getting the man's attention. "Are you not aware of it, sir?"

He glanced back as he did remember.

"Help me! Anyone!" Someone cried out while being unable to swim. Other people were watching and pointing, though no one stepped in to help. "A middle schooler whose Quirk allowed him to change the properties of water was drowning in a river. But All Might stepped in and saved him."

"It's fine now!" All Might suddenly announced to the panicking crowd. "Do you know why? Because I am here!" He stood in front of the sun, jerking a thumb to himself. He was standing on the railing right in front of the river.

"The drowning kid panicked and accidentally turned the river into vinegar. Which, obviously, ended up getting in All Might's eyes. His face looked slightly different from normal after," Izuku explained to Sir Nighteye.

'Dang, this stings!' All Might had thought that day.

"That smile. Those narrowed eyes. That's the look I chose to impersonate earlier," Izuku stated and Sir Nighteye stared at him for a couple of seconds. He was definitely not expecting that answer at all.

"I know this rescue...although it took place before I teamed up with him," Sir Nighteye recalled, looking back up ahead as he didn't face Izuku. "And I believe they mentioned it briefly on the widely-run television special entitled A Look Back."

"Yes, I love that show!" Izuku gushed to the man with a smile, pumping his fists. "I know there weren't any villains involved, so some people think it was a boring save. I'm sure that's why the fans don't talk about it much, but I really like it for some reason! Honestly, I think the best part of the whole thing is the witty response he gave after being thanked by the kid he rescued!"

"I can't thank you enough!" The middle schooler bowed his head to All Might, who laughed in response.

"I'm the one who should be thanking you."

"My skin feels ten years younger," Sir Nighteye recited word for word.

"That's it!" Izuku looked back up with a smile. "It was the perfect one-liner!"

"Now I see," Sir Nighteye looked over his shoulder. "You were just testing me."

"What? Oh, no!" Izuku held up his hands nervously—the last thing he wanted to do was intimidate All Might's old sidekick. His intention was to make the man laugh, after all. "It's just that, since All Might is a teacher at my school, I never really get a chance to geek out about him. Well, I do have a sister and I used to do that at home. But ever since we moved into the dorms, I can't do that as often because we're on different floors," He then smiled bashfully as Sir Nighteye approached him. "I maybe got a little excited."

Sir Nighteye examined the boy, pushing up his glasses. "As I recall, it turned out the child's volatile home life was to blame," Sir Nighteye stated to the green-haired boy.

"That's right! And that made All Might's actions and words carry even more weight, I bet!" As he was fanboying, Mirio went over to Bubble Girl. He removed her from the tickle machine.

"Mirio, who's that? He's loud..." She murmured while trying to recollect himself.

"An underclassman at my school," Mirio smiled towards Izuku.

"You said you had a sister?" Sir Nighteye blinked in realization. "Izuka Midoriya, right? She seems intriguing."

"She's the greatest big sister ever, and her Quirk is amazing!" Izuku's eyes shined in admiration. "She's been really supportive of me ever since we were kids, so I have to make her proud today!" Sir Nighteye raised a small brow, but didn't comment.

Mirio gave him a small smile for his bond with his sister. He totally failed to make Sir laugh. Like, massively. But I gotta say, I think he's still making a good first impression. Plus Sir totally likes the fact that he appreciates his big sister! Even though Sir would probably mistake her for the younger sister like I did. Major fail on my part.

Sir Nighteye wiggled his fingers together on top of his desk after he heard why Izuku was even there. "Interesting. You want to do a work study here because you think that doing so will make you stronger."

"Yes, sir! Please let me!" Izuku pleaded with the man.

"We'd need to draw up a contract."

"Of course!" Izuku dug into his backpack a bit too excitedly. "Yes, I brought one."

"You will not interrupt me while I'm speaking to you," Sir Nighteye scolded the boy.

"Sorry, sir!" He then presented the contract. Everyone that was permitted to do a work study was given one as well.

"Once I stamp this document, you'll officially be contracted with my agency for a work study."

"Yes, sir!" Izuku bowed his head, hugging his bag.

"You have to understand that this will be nothing like the week-long internships that you students take on so casually," Sir Nighteye started off, causing Izuku to look up. "You must work here for a minimum of four months and will be paid wages. However, your academic responsibilities will likely suffer due to absences you'll rack up. Which means your classmates will pull ahead of you."

"I understand that. But...if I worry about what everyone else is doing, I'll never be number one," Izuku declared to Sir Nighteye. The man gave him an intense look for his goal. Mirio and Bubble Girl nearby stayed silent.

Sir Nighteye then held up the stamp above his head, about to accept Izuku...but then Izuku grew pale. Because the man hadn't stamped the document at all. He hit the space next to the paper instead.

"Um...I think you missed," Izuku pointed out a bit awkwardly.

"...Because I am not approving this," Sir Nighteye explained, even hitting the stamp against the table a few times to prove his point.

"What?!" Izuku asked him in bewilderment.

"I understand how working here would be beneficial to you. But what benefit would you bring to my agency?" Sir Nighteye asked of the boy, all of them watching him constantly hitting the stamp on the desk. "This office currently runs smoothly, with two sidekicks and one work study student already under my employ. So why would I add you on?" Mirio and Bubble Girl stared at the two, feeling like the pressure was on much further. "How can you contribute to society? How can you be useful to others? In order to be acknowledged, you must be able to answer those questions unequivocally." Izuku's eyes widened at him as he stopped using the stamp. "All Might showed his worth using power and humor. He gave hope to those who lived in fear of criminals. That's why the people were happy to acknowledge him. The same could be said of your sister in his last fight. She showed that she was willing to die despite the odds against her and no matter what people would say."

Izuku's eyes shook a little as on the surface, he wasn't much...and he knew that. But he felt like he still had something to offer just like Izuka did, even though she couldn't be given the same opportunity he had now. "...You're right. I need to find out how I can help the world."

Sir Nighteye then got out of his chair. "It's time to show me what you would bring to the table. Using actions, not words. 3 minutes," He held the stamp in his fingers. "You have 3 minutes to try and take this seal from me. If you want to work as a hero under my guidance, then stamp that contract yourself."

"Wait," Izuku's eyes widened at him, as a, he didn't know what Sir Nighteye's Quirk was. And b, this was just as strange as when he met Gran Torino. But he didn't feel the same hesitance he had with the former pro hero when he started his internship. Here, he felt a bit afraid since Mirio didn't warn him of this at all being a possibility. "Wait. What...?"

"I'm saying that even though you don't appear to possess a single ounce of humor in your body, I'm still giving you a chance," He then looked towards Bubble Girl and Mirio. "The two of you, go wait outside."

"Sir, yes, sir!" They both stated in unison.

"Once more with feeling!" He instructed them both.

"Yes, sir!" They both projected while saluting to their boss. They then left Izuku alone with Sir Nighteye, walking down the hall together.

"So, did you have to do a practical interview like that?" Bubble Girl asked Mirio curiously as she had to.

"Nah, Sir asked for me specifically, so I didn't have to jump through hoops or anything," He looked up in thought.

"Jeez, you really are his golden boy," Bubble Girl pointed out, feeling a little jealous. "Must be nice."

"Aw," He smacked his forehead and started laughing.

"I can't believe I'm jealous of a high school kid, ugh," She admitted with a groan. Like with Toshinori, Sir Nighteye had an ideal pick for who he wanted during last year's work studies. All he did was ask Mirio officially to work under him, and Mirio accepted it.

"Oh man," Mirio let out another laugh before coming to a stop. Whoo. This doesn't sound great for Midoriya. His future just started lookin' dark He glanced back down the hall, knowing that if Izuku messed this up, his plan for becoming stronger would fall flat. Up against Sir's Quirk, the odds are grim. It's gonna be basically impossible to snatch that stamp. Or even get close.

Sir Nighteye's glasses glinted as he looked towards the anxious Izuku. He then spun the stamp in his hand. "I'll take no offensive measures during this time, and you're welcome to attack me in any manner you desire. Don't concern yourself with what happens to the room. Just come and get it."

Izuku stared at him nervously, as it was going to be hard to NOT damage anything in the room since it had exclusive All Might merchandise. Which he certainly didn't want to break. Even if he could somehow avoid that, he was still at a major disadvantage here. Nighteye's Quirk is...no. It's no time to strategize. He narrowed his eyes towards the man. I've just got to get that seal. I'll forge my own path to the number one spot! His green energy sparked from his body as he clenched his fists, preparing himself. One for All. Full Cowling.

He then leaped forward towards the man. "An approach from the front," He noted while grasping the stamp tightly. "But it's merely a faint and a failed grab." As Izuku jumped up over his head, the man moved his hand away, causing Izuku to miss. He landed on the table to try again. "And then another failed jump attack, to no avail." He moved out of the way just as Izuku was about to jump past him, falling towards the ground. "I can see everything."

I knew it! Izuku gritted his teeth angrily as he realized that no matter what he did, he wasn't going to get the stamp. He landed and skidded across the floor a little. Still. Maybe if I just keep trying moves... He attempted to reach out his hand to grab it, but Sir Nighteye moved his hand away again. And Izuku kept leaping around to get the stamp, but it was the same result of failure thanks to the man simply moving away. He landed on his hands after the third attempt, flipping to land on his feet. He grabbed his backpack and threw it as a distraction. Izuku then moved towards Sir Nighteye...only to be touching the door instead. Sir Nighteye had completely disappeared, as the backpack didn't even hit him. Izuku slowly opened his mouth in disbelief, wondering if Sir Nighteye was really that fast. If so, he certainly didn't recall that being his Quirk.

"Is that all you've got?" Sir Nighteye questioned while standing in the corner nearby. He then pushed up his glasses. "I thought you were attempting to show me your usefulness. This is a waste of time."

Bubble Girl sat on a bench while Mirio got himself a drink. "He's really stringing that kid along," She spoke up while glancing towards the boy.

'I know, right?" He bent down to get his can, a frown on his face. I can tell from the noises coming out of the office that Sir is being serious. Is he really not going to accept Midoriya?

Izuku was zipping around while trying to get an opening for the stamp. Sir Nighteye kept dodging him while looking at the clock. "One minute passes. He backs up briefly," He stated and sure enough, Izuku did move backwards. "And appears nervous." Izuku was trying to catch his breath. "Finally understanding that he can't overcome my Foresight."

Izuku gritted his teeth from the commentary.

Sir Nighteye! His Quirk: Foresight! After touching someone and locking eyes with them, he has the power for the next hour to see the choices that person will make! It's like he knows their every move!

"The activation requirements are secret," Sir Nighteye revealed, and him poking at Izuku's face earlier was how he was able to activate his Quirk and evade the boy so much. So that he could test the green-haired boy's abilities right now.

It doesn't matter how many different moves I try. He's one step ahead! Izuku backed away a little. There's gotta be a way to slip past his Quirk. However, he currently couldn't think of anything.

"I had high expectations for you," Sir Nighteye spoke up again. "Until now." Izuku gasped sharply while looking at him. "You have the power to become a symbol, but you're mediocre. Meanwhile, villains everywhere are getting restless, and gloom is creeping closer. A pity. All Might chose wrong after all. Mirio should have inherited the power."

"What are you talking about? Chose wrong after all?" Izuku demanded, wondering how the man even knew All Might had chosen him to be the successor. The boy already knew that Toshinori and Sir Nighteye weren't talking to each other, so the former number one hero certainly didn't tell him. Taneo, the reporter, never published his article, and he didn't give any indication that he would tell a single person that he was chosen. So how this man with no way of knowing from them that this was the case was beyond him. And he could understand why Mirio was brought up, he had seen firsthand the boy was powerful...but he didn't know that Toshinori even had another choice for One for All.

"Don't get me wrong, I do love and respect All Might," Sir Nighteye informed the boy. "But I don't understand why he chose you. How can you succeed him?"

Izuku's eyes saddened a little from the questions. I guess I never really thought about it...but of course there were candidates before me. Which means Togata was in the running to inherit One for All. Does he know that? How did Nighteye and All Might choose him? Or does All Might even know about any of this? And if so, why didn't he tell me before?

He couldn't move as he felt betrayed. Did Toshinori pity him all of a sudden? Was that why One for All was never given to Mirio?

"You think you have time to stand there frozen?" Sir Nighteye questioned in an intense way, staring Izuku down. "Or are you just getting tired, running out of ideas?" He pushed up his glasses again. "I was honestly a bit curious when Mirio told me he was going to bring you here to introduce you. But it turns out it was a waste of time. There is a candidate who is far worthier of inheriting One for All than you. As such, I cannot acknowledge you."

Izuku clenched his fists, as he couldn't focus on doubting himself or his idol right now. He had to make Sir Nighteye change his mind about him. I have to remember the words he said that day.

"Young man, young lady. You too can become heroes. I can give him my abilities. Take the torch."

He gritted his teeth as he powered up again. I have to keep fighting. I'll go beyond, so he can't react even if he can foresee my movements. I can't just let him reject me now. He squeezed his eyes shut, remembering all of the training he did for the UA Entrance Exam, and Toshinori's final words as All Might. Not after everything All Might, Izuka, and I have been through!

With that in mind, he then ran up to Sir Nighteye, zipping around the room instead of heading for the man. He chose me, and he chose Izuka to be a new symbol. He wanted me to have his power, and for her to better herself! He glared down at his opponent, who stared up at him in silence. "I'm going to take that stamp from you." Sir Nighteye didn't react to this at all. "I swear, I will make you acknowledge me!"

Sir Nighteye watched Izuku zip around the room, not responding to Izuku's declaration. Nighteye's Quirk, Foresight, lets him see into the future. But the question is, how far into the future? Izuku gritted his teeth while seeing Sir Nighteye's eyes on him. He hit the ceiling and then the walls, leaving his footprints on them. My best bet is to make a ton of different moves as quickly as I can so he won't have any time to think.

"There is a candidate who is far worthier of inheriting One for All than you."

If I leave now, it's like admitting he was right! He landed on the ceiling right behind Sir Nighteye, reaching out his hand as he jumped. Sir Nighteye moved away his arm just before Izuku was about to get the stamp. He landed on his hands and knees, looking up at the man in surprise.

"Gran Torino's style," Sir Nighteye spoke up, recognizing what he was doing immediately. "But you're a mere shadow of the original." Izuku let out a growl from the insult, zipping into the air again. "For the next hour, provided the conditions are met...I can see what you'll do, wherever you'll go," His eye revealed purple as that was how his Quirk worked. It was like internal clocks turning around his environment as he stepped back from Izuku soaring towards him. He then moved to the side, Izuku running in front of him. He stepped backwards again, Izuku stumbling a bit as he landed. He dashed towards Sir Nighteye once again. "In case you're interested..." He held up his arm so that Izuku missed again. "Two minutes from now, you'll be slumped on the floor with neither the seal nor the contract." He moved around a few times to avoid Izuku, who knocked into a bookshelf while trying to get the stamp. He came to a stop, letting out another low growl. He was stuck in a corner, and Sir Nighteye absolutely knew that. He looked up at the man, gritting his teeth. "You've looked unsure since this trial began. But All Might certainly must have taught you better than that. Or maybe you get it from your sister if you're this poor at it. Fear and indecision are luxuries a top-tier hero cannot afford." Izuku growled at him bringing his sister into it and dashed around the room again. "Someone who understands that will always act with vision and purpose. You must've been told this countless times, but now, when your training's being put to the test, you choke. You said you would make me acknowledge you, but the more I see..." He then moved his body down to dodge Izuku. "The more convinced I become that you will ultimately fail."

Izuku landed on the wall above the bookshelf. "He said I can do it!" He seethed a little, his footprints practically everywhere now.

"Who said that? One of your little friends?"

Izuku then leaped forward again, a fierce look in his eyes. "The greatest hero the world has ever seen!" Sir Nighteye flinched upon hearing this, Izuku's shoes skidding as he landed nearby. He then gripped the bookshelf, throwing it around to release all of the books and files from it. "Sorry! But you did say not to worry about the room, right?"

What he said about his power...

"For the next hour...provided the conditions are met. I can see what you'll do, wherever you go."

Sir Nighteye looked all of the papers and books flying around, but still kept his eyes on Izuku.

He can see what I'll do, wherever I go. Why did he word it that way? What exactly is Nighteye seeing? He slammed his hand down on a piece of paper. Everything that's going to happen? He then moved his foot backwards, kicking a book out of the way. Or only the actions of a specific target: me. Time to test my theory! I'll scatter objects at random. If I'm his sole target, then his Foresight won't be able to reach them! He kept his eyes on the stamp, reaching out his hand. Nighteye. I'm not giving up now. Or ever! He then reached out both of his hands, gritting his teeth in determination to grab it.

"Whether you like it or not, I am All Might's successor!" The boy cried out, but before he could grab it, Sir Nighteye moved up his hands.

"That doesn't alter what I see," He remarked as he looked away.

"Not yet!" Izuku declared, gasping as he looked up ahead and crashed face-first into a wall. He then slid to the ground, some blood coming from him. "I'm not done..." He mumbled from the ground.

"It's over."

"No, it's not!" Izuku looked back at him...but he didn't realize the time either.

"Three minutes have passed," Sir Nighteye revealed to him.

"What...?" Izuku murmured in disbelief, and with also a bloody nose.

"You're All Might's chosen successor?" Izuku looked at him with wide eyes. "It beggars belief. You devised only a single plan, and it failed spectacularly. Leaving you worn out."

Izuku looked towards the ground, not even lifting up his head as he clutched at the floor. "I didn't botch this test because I'm tired!"

"Then what happened?"

"I realized I was about to step on the poster for All Might's tenth anniversary as a hero," He explained, as the poster behind him was completely untouched. "The one that was never for sale..."

Sir Nighteye looked at the poster in disbelief as he wasn't even paying attention to that detail. Don't tell me...he was in constant motion, jumping as Gran Torino would, and yet he still managed to avoid every image of All Might in the room? One quick look at all of his posters and merchandise proved that this theory was correct—not a single one had a scuff mark, and were still in pristine condition. He then looked back to Izuku, who was bowing his head to the man. Even emotionally off-balance from my provocations...he formulated a strategy to defeat me and remained aware of his surroundings. He rubbed his chin in thought, as he couldn't believe just how much Izuku admired All Might...just like he did. That he made sure to be extra careful despite how fast he was moving.

The door slammed open to reveal Mirio and Bubble Girl striking a pose. "And cue our well-timed return!" The former declared to the two.

"You're done, right Sir?" Bubble Girl asked cautiously, because she didn't want to be tickle-tortured again. "That loud bang at the end sounded pretty final."

"I'll take the boy, Mirio," Sir Nighteye suddenly stated, and Mirio pumped his fists happily.

"That's awesome!" He shouted in excitement.

"What?!" Izuku looked up at the man wide-eyed, wondering why when he didn't get the stamp to begin with. "I don't understand. I didn't do either of the things you asked me to!"

"I told you to take the seal from me and stamp the contract yourself," Sir Nighteye reminded the boy. "But I didn't say you'd be rejected if you failed."

"Yeah, but..." He faltered as Sir Nighteye walked away. Mirio and Bubble Girl stepped inside.

"Congrats, Midoriya, you pulled it off!" Mirio exclaimed while stepping around the books, looking towards Sir Nighteye. "So, he made you laugh after all."

Sir Nighteye held up the contract. "I had already decided I would take you on when I heard you were coming," He revealed to all of them. Izuku gasped a little, staring at the man. He questioned why the whole test thing if he was going to be accepted at the end. "I also knew that you weren't entirely lacking in skill and intellect. But I still wanted to see it for myself." Izuku couldn't speak, a light breath escaping him. "The Symbol of Peace is gone, and the people are looking not for a dim light, but a dazzling one," He approached the green-haired boy. "You'll work here alongside professionals. And you will see," He held out the stamp to Izuku. "Regardless of All Might's mandate...you are not worthy of his power," He then dropped the stamp of his own volition.

One for All can only be transferred through the will of its current user. He looked down in shock at the stamp in his hands, wondering if he was dreaming...but he wasn't. Despite not being acknowledged, he was still being given the chance to work for Sir Nighteye. Although he knew the real reason why. He's taking me on to make me give up. I'm All Might's chosen successor. But Sir Nighteye doesn't accept that. He believes that Togata should have been selected instead. It makes for an unsettling dynamic. But even so... He stamped the contract himself, grasping it in his hands while looking up fiercely.

"I look forward to working with you!" He declared to Sir Nighteye, determined to prove the man wrong.

"You found an agency for your work study?" Ochaco asked once he returned to Heights Alliance. "Congratulations, Deku!" She smiled as Tsuyu, Minoru, Tenya, and Mina surrounded her.

"That's awesome!" Mina also smiled towards him.

"Indeed. Well done, Midoriya," Tenya spoke up, offering his hand.

"Thanks, guys," Izuku smiled while taking his friend's hand.

"Thank you," The class rep corrected the boy. "You're an example to us all," He then adjusted his glasses with a small smile.

"I dunno how the rest of us are supposed to compete, though," Denki admitted as he walked over with Eijiro, Rikido, Hanta, and Fumikage.

"Yeah, you'll be working at Sir Nighteye's agency. That's seriously amazing," Hanta pointed out as they knew that Sir Nighteye was All Might's former sidekick.

"And I hear Togata recommended you," Eijiro spoke up, hands in his pockets.

"Pretty impressive, man!" Rikido complimented after eating his chips.

"Um. Yeah, I guess," Izuku scratched his cheek bashfully, looking away. Except, the only reason he even took me on was to convince me to give up One for All. He wasn't going to say anything regarding that, though. Because then he'd have to explain One for All to them, which he wasn't ready to do so. And only 2 people, Katsuki and Izuka, would really understand anyway. But he didn't want to tell them either because he knew how they'd react.

Shoto, Katsuki, and Izuka were listening in on the conversation nearby. Izuka smiled towards her brother encouragingly, but she was still a little sad herself. Shoto and Katsuki weren't too pleased either for the same reason as her.

"I knew he could do it!" She pumped her fists, deciding to focus on being happy for him.

"The distance between us just keeps getting wider," Shoto murmured to the two, getting her attention. "We've got to catch up and soon."

"Huh!" Katsuki just scoffed in return.

"I'm sure we will. We'll get our chance soon enough," Izuka gave a small optimistic smile, hands behind her back. Shoto blinked at the girl for her being supportive despite her circumstances.

She's shouldering a lot lately. I imagine it can't be easy having to watch the others and having to retake the provisional licensing exam because it's a punishment. I hope that she can be more open about it with us.

Ochaco had her hands on her cheeks, looking a bit disappointed. "I wish I had a place picked out," She lamented to the others. "The school said Gunhead hasn't had enough interns, so his agency is a no-go..." She then looked towards Izuka, who blinked and then hummed, her eyes softening. Ochaco just gave a small smile in return, knowing that she did promise not to talk about it behind Izuka's back. Both girls were just glad that they weren't hiding anything from each other.

"I know what you mean," Tsuyu agreed, a finger on her chin. "I wanted to go to Selkie's, but that's out too..."

"Yeah, so is Fourth Kind," Eijiro gave a small frown, leaning over the couch. "He doesn't even accept students for work studies..."

"The teachers sure aren't making it easy for us, are they?" Hanta asked while leaning against the couch Izuku was sitting on.

"Thanks to all these requirements, a ton of agencies are ruled right off the bat," Denki complained a little as the place he went to internship wasn't taking work studies either.

"We can't really blame them," Mashirao shrugged a little. "Unlike the internships, we'll be directly involved, so if anything were to go wrong, then-"

"Then the pros have to take responsibility for whatever happened," Mr. Aizawa interrupted him, standing nearby.

"Oh, hey Mr. Aizawa!" Denki greeted their teacher, some of them wondering how long he had been standing there.

"Only pros who're the real deal will take on rookies like you guys, knowing the risks involved," He then looked towards Fumikage in particular. "Tokoyami. Looks like you've got an offer from one of them. Hawks has invited you to work with him in Kyushu."

"No way!" Denki looked at his classmate wide-eyed.

"Dude, he's the number three hero!" Hanta exclaimed in disbelief. "That's awesome!"

"Whoa, good job!" Rikido murmured in a bit of awe.

"Well, what d'ya say?" Mr. Aizawa asked his student.

He bowed his head a little. "I respectfully accept."

"Alright then. I'll make sure you get the relevant paperwork later. Just let me know when you're expected in Kyushu. I can sign off on your absences."

"Congrats, Tokoyami," One of Mezo's limbs spoke for him. "You psyched?"

"I am grateful, of course," He glanced at his friend.

"They're starting to get snatched up left and right, huh?" Izuka closed her eyes with a small smile.

"We've really gotta catch up," Shoto lamented, closing his eyes.

"Would you stop saying that?!" Katsuki was already getting pissed by his white/red haired rival saying this twice now.

"Also, Kirishima," Mr. Aizawa turned towards Eijiro. "Apparently, Amajiki from the Big Three wants to talk to you about something. And for some reason, he's requested Mido for assistance."

Everyone whipped around to both of them, Izuka looking at Mr. Aizawa wide-eyed. "He wants us?" Eijiro pointed to himself, looking towards Izuka. Both of them were very confused on why, since Tamaki didn't even talk to Eijiro. And it wasn't like he had sought out the boy before...

"Why?" Katsuki snarled a little at Izuka, who flinched with a slightly terrified look.

"Umm..." She gave a sheepish smile. Crap, I was not expecting to have to tell him so soon...

"Uraraka and Asui, you've got your own Big Three summons from Hado," Mr. Aizawa revealed as well. "You can track 'em down sometime tomorrow or whatever. That's all for now," He then turned around to leave.

"Amajiki? That's crazy. I wonder what he wants," Eijiro glanced towards Izuka, who shrugged cluelessly.

"What the hell are you two hiding?!" Katsuki demanded and she placed a hand over her face.

"Considering the timing, it could be about the work study program," Tsuyu theorized, glancing towards Izuka. "Maybe he wants Mido there for backup talking to you since she can't be on one."

Ah. Now it makes more sense...I guess I ended up leaving a better impression than I thought. Izuka sweated sheepishly with a small awkward smile. He needs me to help translate for him...

Ochaco looked up in surprise. "No way! That'd be too good to be true, right?"

"I have to wait until tomorrow?" Eijiro got onto his feet, hands on his hips. "Nope! I'm going over to the third years' dorm right now!" He then turned around to leave.

"Ah! Kirishima-San!" Izuka yelped after him but didn't follow.

"I don't think I can wait either," Tsuyu seemed to agree as she stood up. "Let's go with him."

"Yeah!" Ochaco got onto her feet, running after Eijiro with Tsuyu.

"Good luck, you guys, but don't bother them next time!" Izuka called out after them.

"We've really, really gotta-"

"JUST SHUT UP!" Katsuki prevented him from finishing his sentence that time. The short girl winced from her hair flying away, as well as him practically making her left ear deaf.

"Katsuki, he may be annoying you, but that doesn't mean he's wrong," Izuka pointed out while rubbing at the side of her head, earning a low growl in return. She sighed at this and then smiled, walking up to Izuku. "Little brother, I'm so happy for you!"

"Izuka...thanks for always supporting me! I promise I won't let you down!" He pumped a fist with a big smile.

"I don't think that should be your priority right now," She sweated awkwardly before humming, hands on her hips. "But I do owe you some katsudon, so just give me a half hour!"

"Right, I forgot about that!" He gasped happily, his eyes shining. "You always make the pork cutlet so juicy..." He drooled a little from the thought, earning a small giggle.

"Aw man, I'm so jealous of those guys and Midoriya!" Denki pouted towards Izuka as he wanted her to cook for him too. Minoru looked just as upset towards the two, wondering if she ever put on a maid outfit...

"We'll just have to work harder," Hanta smiled towards the others.

"Heh," Minoru then admired Mina's chest... "Who cares about work studies anyway? First-years like us'll just get stuck running errands and doing paperwork all day."

"Oh yeah, that's what happened at your internship, huh?" Denki smiled down at the boy.

"Don't remind me of my disgraceful past!" The shortest boy lamented, holding his head. This earned laughter from the others aside from Tenya and Fumikage. Izuku then looked towards the ground as he couldn't wait either. Although he was still cautious given what Sir Nighteye told him.

Tomorrow. I start tomorrow.

Katsuki then stormed right past the twins, to their shock. He went right over to the kitchen. "Quit standing there and do something useful, Izuka," He grunted as he started gathering ingredients.

"Huh?" Izuku blinked and then looked at him wide-eyed. "Wait, you're gonna make it with her?!"

"Isn't that romantic?" Denki smirked, nudging Izuka playfully. She flinched and then looked away, scratching her cheek while attempting not to blush. "Bakugo's becoming soft for you, huh, Mido?"

"Kaminari-San, please don't..." She muttered as Katsuki turned around, giving Denki a death glare.

"Walk away before I murder you..."

"No, you won't! I'm coming over so that we can get done faster," She huffed as she walked over, grabbing the pork from the fridge. The girl then stood by Katsuki's side, watching him get the rice. "...Thank you."

"Hah? Get real. You'll just do it wrong if I let you do it yourself," He remarked and she shook her head slowly, deciding not to argue. Izuku looked at them happily, trying not to cry. His sister and his childhood friend making him his favorite food was a dream come true.

Toshinori was staring out to the sunset, knowing that Izuku was going to have a hard time with Sir Nighteye given the secret he kept from the twins...he didn't think he would even hear of Sir Nighteye again until Izuku brought it up. He just hoped that the boy could prove himself, and...that he could explain himself soon to his students.

After placing down Izuku's plate, Izuka stretched with a small yawn. "Thanks, sis! It looks delicious!" Izuku gushed and then took a bite, his eyes shining. "It's spicy, but then it's got that juicy kick to it, and the rice is cooked so well. You and Kacchan managed to balance out the taste of the spiciness, as well as made the pork cutlet so tender-"

"Damn it, nerd, will you shut up?!" Katsuki yelled from the kitchen, looking annoyed.

"You're welcome, you earned it," Izuka smiled at her brother, ruffling the top of his head as he continued to eat. "I'm going to bed. I've got my classes in the morning."

Katsuki glanced over his shoulder as he watched her walk away. "Bye, sis, and thanks again!" Izuku waved to her, and some of the students said goodnight to her as well. The blond clamped his mouth shut, knowing that he still needed to get an answer to his question.

Izuka sighed slowly as she got into the elevator, pressing the button to head for the 4th floor. She rubbed at her eye tiredly. Like she told Katsuki, she'd rather support her classmates than be upset. Although she did hope that Tamaki would be able to handle Eijiro on his own... The next time I see Amajiki-San, I need to apologize to him for both allowing Kirishima-San to see him this late and for not being there...

A hand suddenly stopped the doors from closing and she screamed in fear. "Who's there?!"

"Idiot." She blinked at the familiar voice as the hand pushed the doors open to reveal Katsuki. He stepped inside as she stared at him stopping by her left side. "You couldn't have stopped the doors?"

"Being drilled by special classes shoots your stamina right in the face," She remarked while yawning again, reaching out to close the doors with the button. "Not that it affects you all that much from what I can tell."

"Heh. Yeah...but what the hell happened to make someone from the Big 3 wanna talk to you?" He narrowed his eyes and she flinched. The girl then closed her eyes with a knowing sigh that this would've been brought up.

"Well, since you're back in class, they showed up to explain work studies to us. And I...tried to get Amajiki-San to talk to the class because he's like how I used to be. I'm only trying to help him be more social, you know? And I was being as nice as I could to the guy because I felt like he needs more people to talk to," She placed a finger on her chin.

"Have you been alone with him?" Katsuki glared a little, hands in his pockets.

"Huh? Well, no, technically I talked with him on my own, but people in class were still there. I've only talked to him twice. I offered to let him come to my painting spots, but so far, he hasn't shown up," She tilted her head in confusion, wondering why it bothered him so much. "Why?"

"No reason," He muttered, looking away in a bit of relief. Good...so she doesn't like him. But I still don't like it.

She decided not to question it as they reached their floor. She then stepped out, about to head over to the girls' side. Izuka then turned back around with a small smile. "Thanks...for being here to talk to, Katsuki. It really helps me forget about the others and how they're progressing. And I appreciate you helping me cook for my brother too, it made him really happy. I'll see you tomorrow morning."

"Mm," He grunted in response simply and she turned back around to head for her room. Hearing her say that...made him blush a little, and he was thankful that the short girl couldn't see it. But he felt like he had to do something to show that he appreciated having her in his life on better terms. He closed his eyes, gritting his teeth. Damn it...I can't believe I'm about to do this.

He stormed up to the girl, grabbing her arm. She looked back in confusion before he pulled her close and leaned down to kiss her on her right cheek. She froze on the spot from his warm lips, and then her cheeks turned a dark red. And just as soon as he started it, he ended it by pulling away. The blond turned away from her, hands in his pockets as he blushed as much as her.

"D-Don't expect something like that again! Now get to sleep, I'm not waiting on your ass in the morning if you're one second late, okay?!" He stammered as he stormed off, leaving her bewildered. Her heart was racing as a small breath escaped her, staring after him.

"Ahh..." Her mind went blank, wondering what just happened. Did he just...kiss me on the cheek?

The next day marked the beginning of my work study!

All I could do was be excited for him.

Izuku stood between Mirio and Bubble Girl, the former in his hero costume. All of them were waiting for Sir Nighteye's instructions. "Today, we will be doing patrols and surveillance. We'll split up into 2 teams. I'll be with Bubble Girl, and Mirio, you're with Midoriya."

"Surveillance...?" Izuku murmured while looking at the paperwork.

"Nighteye Agency is currently working on a secret investigation," Bubble Girl quietly told him.

"Shie Hassaikai is a small organized crime syndicate," Sir Nighteye explained for Izuku, turning around the file to show a picture of Overhaul. "That's Kai Chisaki. As the young head of the group, he's its second-in-command...and he's been behaving strangely lately," He pushed up his glasses; he knew because he had people keeping an eye on him. "That plague mask is his trademark."

"Creepy...I thought...there wasn't much trouble with organized crime these days," Izuku admitted while taking a closer look at the picture. "Since the police know who they are and monitor their movements."

"It's been that way since the big groups broke up," Bubble Girl stated, holding up a finger. "But this Chisaki guy is starting to gather them together again, though we don't know why. The details are unclear, but we do know he made contact with the League of Villains recently."

Izuku gasped at hearing their name again, as they hadn't come up for him for a while now. "The League of Villains?" He asked in a bit of fear, hoping that his sister's name hadn't come up... "Did the name Izuka Midoriya ever come up from them?!"

Mirio and Bubble Girl stared at him in confusion since they didn't know Izuka was a secondary target for the group. Sir Nighteye stared at the boy for a few seconds and then moved his hand away from his glasses. "...No. Her name isn't on their radar as far as we know. Unfortunately, we don't have solid proof linking him to anything criminal yet. Hassaikai operates in a legal gray area that's close to black, but we can't treat them like villains." The three glanced to each other in confusion. "Our objective is to tail them and find out what they're up to," He then showed Kai's picture to them. "Be careful not to arouse any suspicion."

"Yes, sir!" All of them stated in unison. Izuku bit his lip staring at it, hoping that Izuka was safe back at the dorms...it was a stretch that the Shie Hassaikai would even focus on her. But considering Shigaraki and Overhaul talked to each other, it made him a little nauseous that it was possible.

Someone panted while running down an alleyway, trying to go as fast as she could. They could see light up ahead, though someone was trailing after them. They looked back to see the shadow still following close behind...

Someone, anyone! Please.

She could barely breathe as it felt like something she couldn't escape from...all she wanted was freedom...a shadow blocked her way out, and that turned out to be Izuku. The girl fell to the ground after bumping into him. He bent down to her.

"Whoa, I'm sorry. You really took a tumble there," He offered his hand, but she gasped, moving hers away from him. His eyes widened at this reaction, wondering if something was wrong. "Are you okay? Can I help you up?" He blinked as he noticed something was already...off. Why is she trembling like that?

"You should be more careful," A familiar voice spoke up and he looked up. The little girl that bumped into him looked terrified from the voice, her eyes desperate and afraid. "We don't wanna cause trouble for the heroes."

And just like that, my work study...

Izuku looked up in fear himself...because he was talking to Overhaul himself! "Let's go home, Eri."

Had begun.

And a foreboding feeling came over me...though I didn't know why.

Izuka stopped moving her pencil while in her special classes, sweating a little. She could tell...that Izuku was in trouble, but she didn't have a complete understanding of it. She bit her lip, hoping that whatever it was, he'd make it out unscathed...
