Angel: For those reading my Dr. Stone story, there has been more footage released for season 4! I'm excited, but I will be very sad when it ends. Can't wait to see it though, and I already have ideas for Sumiku that I will not disclose.
What would happen if Eri caused a star to die out? Uhhh, just by research, it can form a neutron star or a black hole—and it'd be a black hole that can suck things inside of it, so I would not have Eri do that, especially since she has no control of her power. Will Mahoro and Katsuma from the 2nd movie be similar to Izuka? I mean...she's kind of like the two of them combined in a sense, so I don't think much would really change? Obviously she'll still talk to them but I don't think they're that similar to her on their own.
*triggered, eyes shining red* Hey, I can upload as many chapters as I want to, and I upload more when I hit certain milestones! I know people are waiting for certain moments, but at least they are patient. I'm not at a point where I can comfortably upload the entirety of the second half of season 4 or season 5.
Never ask me that again, to the person who asked the question, I'm not naming names.
One of Mr. Compress' orbs rolled onto a road. Then a cane was slammed down onto it as someone was walking by. Outside the Shie Hassaikai residence, after the raid started, the police had managed to capture Katsukame. "Suspect restrained," They reported as they got a big belt to hold the villain.
"He went down pretty fast for such a big guy," Tsuyu murmured as she, Ochaco, and Ryukyu watched. Ryukyu had turned back to her normal form.
"Good thing," Ochaco turned to her, holding her arm.
"Rikiya Katsukame," Ryukyu remembered him from the list that they were given. "Enhances his size by breathing in the life force of the person he's touching. Isolate him now, before he regains consciousness."
"Yes, ma'am!" The police recited in unison to her.
Nejire pointed to the broken entrance of the building, as she could hear fighting noises. "Things are sounding pretty lively in there. We'd better get moving!"
"We're heading in later than I'd hoped," Ryukyu pointed out, staring towards the entrance. "But let's catch up to Nighteye."
"Right!" Ochaco and Tsuyu agreed with her. However, when Ochaco took a step forward, she felt unsteady.
"Oh, man..." Her eyes looked a little tired.
"I feel..." Tsuyu didn't even finish her sentence as she fell towards the ground, in the same state as Ochaco. Ryukyu gasped sharply at her students, as it was Katsukame taking energy from them.
'He's stealing their vitality!' She noticed, and it wasn't just the girls either, it was also affecting the police officers. 'But now? He's not even touching them!'
Katsukame looked up knowingly towards her, as she hadn't been affected yet. "The Quirk booster Irinaka gave me is finally kicking in. About damn time!" He straightened up as he stomped his foot so hard that it cracked the concrete. He let out a growl as he lifted up his head to continue taking energy. He then grew in size, breaking off the restraints. "That's more like it!" He clenched a fist and Ryukyu looked up in horror.
"Oh no!"
He recoiled back a fist, heading right for her. "I feel like a new man!"
She managed to stop him by transforming into her dragon form. She glared at him, thinking that he must've injected himself before they even showed up. 'So that's it! His Quirk's been enhanced!'
A few explosions occurred from Katsukame's strikes onto Ryukyu. He reached out to punch her, but she grabbed his arm with her claws. She glanced back at the police and her students, who couldn't move at all. And they didn't look great, either.
'He's drained them so completely, they don't even have the energy to stand.' "Nejire!" She cried out as Nejire was floating above the both of them. She didn't look great, but she was fighting against it as she held out her arms.
"Yep, I'm going to a full charge!" She reported as she charged up her power.
Nejire Hado. Quirk: Surge! She converts her own energy into shootable shock waves! They take a spiral path towards their target though, so they're not the fastest.
Her spiral wave appeared a few seconds as she hit Katsukame from behind, getting his attention. She hit him again, but it had no effect. "Ha, ha, ha!" He laughed while looking up at her. "Looks like the drug wore off. So I'll need to get a little handsy with you," He wiggled his fingers a little.
She bit her lip while giving him a growl. "Back off, you creep!" She shouted while firing again.
Ochaco looked up weakly, trying to get up but she couldn't. "Uraraka!" She flinched from hearing a familiar voice, turning to the twins. Although she was a bit confused to see them and wondered how they got back so fast. She assumed that they were still underground with the others, but someone also could've transported them here as well. "We need some backup, quick! Underground, right below the intersection over there!" He pointed down the street. "The others are pinned down. We have to help them!"
"Wait, something's wrong," Izuka noticed from their two classmates. "Are you guys all okay?" She called out to them in worry, frowning. "I know it might be too much, but we need to do all that we can! We can't help Eri if we don't make our way down there to help the others!"
"Let's go!" Ryukyu declared as she didn't question their sudden presence and then took to the skies. She then tackled Katsukame as Ochaco jumped up with a grunt. She then touched the villain's leg from behind while Ryukyu was distracting him. He floated up into the air as Tsuyu grabbed his head with her tongue. She hopped on all fours, dragging him away. "Now, Nejire, hit us with everything you've got!"
She floated over from behind. "How are these stupid little girls still moving?" Katsukame yelled and Izuka glared up at him from her spot.
"We don't give up," Ochaco gritted her teeth from the insult.
"And no matter what..." Tsuyu started off while still running.
"We always go beyond!" Nejire finished for the frog-like girl.
"Plus Ultra!" They all shouted as Nejire fired a big wave.
Something crashed from a nearby wall. The twins gasped as they looked up to see Ryukyu with Katsukame in tow. The rest of her team was there as well, to everyone's shock.
"Ryukyu!" Izuku exclaimed in relief to see them. "You guys came!"
"Thank goodness you're here!" Izuka smiled a little up at them. Ochaco and Tsuyu floated down from above.
"Deku, Callista!" Ochaco did a double take to see the both of them, when they saw them just a few seconds ago right outside. And the two were acting like they weren't just there. If they had just seen the group, they would've had different reactions. And she noticed that the both of them had injuries that she didn't see from them outside either. "Wait."
"If you're both here, who were the Deku and Callista we just saw?" Tsuyu stared down at them in confusion.
Outside, the Izuku they had interacted with before melted and so did Izuka, but in different ways. Someone rolled an orb as Izuku was Himiko in disguise and Izuka was a Twice clone. "Go beyond, Plus Ultra?" Himiko seemed intrigued by the phrase, smiling. "I prefer go confusion, plus chaos!"
Mr. Compress stared at her as she was about to become nude. "Clothe yourself before you give this old man a heart attack. You made a duplicate of me so I could extract you?" He looked down at the orb, which held the duplicate.
"That's right!" Twice pointed towards him. "That's Step 1 of the plan: I made a copy of Compress. Step 2: using Compress' Quirk, we tunnel through the ground and escape to the surface. Step three: Toga disguises herself and notifies the heroes, while I made a copy to assist." Thanks to the intel from the League of Villains about Izuka and her Quirk, he knew enough about the girl to be able to make a copy of her. Himiko didn't have her blood, so he was thankful that he had the prior knowledge that he needed. "So far so good, I'd say, but now comes the best part," He then looked down at the tunnel that they had used to get out. "Because this is the first time the yakuza have let us near the kid their whole plan depends on."
"Their secret weapon's a kid?" Mr. Compress asked in confusion, since he wasn't up to date on everything going on with the Hassaikai.
"Sure is. Which means you need to get down there and grab 'er," He pointed down inside the room.
"Me?!" Mr. Compress recoiled back in bewilderment, wondering why when they had roped him into this plan just now.
"Don't be such a baby about it," Himiko retorted to him. "What's the worst that could happen?"
"Hey!" He protested to the girl. "I already lost an arm to that man. You want me to let him finish the job?" As much as he wanted to stick it to Overhaul for disassembling his arm, he didn't want to die if they took Eri. Overhaul would be after them nonstop if they did. He couldn't just grab Eri and get out of there without being noticed or chased down.
"You're just a copy," Twice pointed to him. "You'll be fine."
"Good luck!" Himiko then pushed him into the hole and he yelped.
"Psychos!" He shouted up at them while sliding down. "Are you unable to think about anyone but yourselves?!"
Ryukyu glanced over her shoulder, recognizing him immediately. The League of Villains!
They must've posed as us, but why? Izuka gritted her teeth while Tsuyu and Ochaco were horrified that the villain group was even here.
"Uravity, look!" Tsuyu looked up ahead, even more horrified...because they saw Sir Nighteye and his fatal injuries. He was laying on the ground, unable to move.
"Nighteye!" Ochaco shouted upon seeing him. The twins ran up ahead, knowing that he wouldn't want them to worry about him. Although deep down, they were still concerned about him.
"Take care of him. Go on!" Izuku told the two girls while he and Izuka ran up to Eri. The floor suddenly shifted so that a large pillar sent her up into the sky. The Compress duplicate flinched as one spike almost hit him. The twins looked up in alarm at Eri flying in the air, all thanks to Overhaul. "CHISAKI!"
"Let her go now!" Izuka screamed at him as they watched the villain create another pillar to head for Eri.
"You filthy heroes screwed everything up!" He hissed down at them. Large rocks fell as he continued ascending towards the hole in the ceiling.
"She's coming with us!" Izuku shouted as he and Izuka jumped up, reaching out their hands. Save her! For good this time!
You won't escape with her as long as we're here! Izuka snarled to herself.
Overhaul glanced over his shoulder while having grabbed the little girl. "Stubborn fools." He then saw what was left of Mirio's cape on top of a rock nearby. "That piece of trash is still here? Disgusting." It then flew off and Eri glanced up at it.
"His cape..." She murmured, remembering that he had used it to help protect her. But she also remembered that she was targeted and he got his Quirk taken away... No. Enough. I don't want anyone else to die She thought while also recalling Mirio getting stabbed by the spikes...and Sir Nighteye as well. I don't want this...why do they keep trying? She just couldn't come to grips with the fact that they were still fighting like this when they could end it themselves by leaving her with Overhaul. Even when she said that she didn't think they were heroes...they were still putting themselves through this. She looked up with a gasp as the cape flew around.
"I am going to be your hero!" Her breath escaped her while his words rang in her mind. "I'm never going to let you down again, Eri." Her bandaged arm reached out...and then the horn from her head started to glow yellow.
Kai Chisaki stood in front of his adoptive father in his office. "I have a daughter. You might remember her, Chisaki. Anyway. That girl is her child." Eri was currently sitting alone on a hospital bed. "My fool of a daughter abandoned her own blood. She said her husband died, and that the girl was to blame because she's cursed. Apparently, one day, her husband reached for the child and his entire body simply vanished. Seems the girl's ability manifested, and it's unlike any Quirk on either side of the family. A mutation, rather than an inherited power."
Eri was frowning to herself, her eyes looking dead as she sat there. She was upset that her mother abandoned her, but also...that she essentially killed her father. It wasn't like she meant to do it, it was only an accident. It just came out of her and she didn't know what to do. "I hear it's extremely rare, but it happens. I'm told she doesn't know how it works or how to use it, and that she has no awareness of its activation. From the sound of it...her Quirk may be similar to yours. Look after her. And while you do, investigate her ability. I know you're good at that kind of stuff."
Kai looked down at the girl. 'Similar to my Quirk? I wouldn't say that,' She used her Quirk against some mice, and they reverted back to babies. 'It isn't repair or restoration...but something else entirely.' The mice were then completely gone from existence, just like what happened to her father. He used a scalpel to cut into her body, and gave her scars in return. 'Something unbelievable.' He then watched as her body went on rewind for the scars. 'Eri's Quirk. It's...'
As Eri reached out to the cape...she managed to use her Quirk to completely remove Nemoto's body from Overhaul, turning them back to normal.
The power to rewind!
She gripped the cape tightly and could faintly see the twins down below. She gasped from seeing the desperation on their faces. These people aren't going to give up...not until I'm safe. Even if it means they'll die...
She got onto her feet, still gripping the cape. After seeing how much they wanted to fight for her...she wanted to be back with them. She wanted to get to know Izuka more because...
Izuka looked at the little girl and gave a small smile. She placed a hand on Eri's head, the girl flinching from the contact. She then looked up at Izuka in bewilderment.
"Don't worry, Eri. You're not alone anymore..." She spoke softly to the little girl.
Because like Eri, Izuka didn't want people to die either to tell the girl that she wasn't going to suffer at their hands...
I have to let them. I have to go back... The twins reached out further to her as her eyes widened. I have to go back! And so, she jumped off the pillar, holding the cape tightly. Even though she barely knew them...she knew that they would protect her. That she would be safe with them, because she didn't want to be trapped again... I have to trust them!
A rock fell into their path, but Izuku smashed it to pieces. Izuka's eyes slowly widened at her flames appearing without her controlling it, but shook it off. She used a shooting star to blast another rock. Blood spurted from their injuries, but they ignored the pain. They then used a rock to gain more momentum, reaching out their hands again to the girl.
"ERI!" They shouted at the top of their lungs, knowing that they'll reach her. They had to, otherwise they couldn't call themselves heroes.
This time...we will save her! Eri stared at the two, gripping the cape. They could see the small hope in her eyes. I failed before.
I didn't even know about her until later...but I was still so angry and broken after I heard what Overhaul was doing to her...that I felt like I couldn't fail her. That she needs something to hold onto to be able to live again.
They used another rock to gain more height. "ERI!" They screamed again, as Izuku remembered letting her go with Overhaul.
She needed me...and I let her slip away.
Honestly, when I heard that Togata and my brother had to let her go...I couldn't even blame Izuku for what happened...but I knew that I wanted to see her once I learned. If it was me, I wouldn't even know what to do.
Eri got onto her feet, jumping off the pillar herself while reaching out her arms. But that won't happen again. This time, I'll hold on!
Izuka's eyes slowly widened at Eri trusting them, shedding a small tear. I won't let Overhaul hurt her after today. We'll make sure she won't suffer!
And so, Eri fell into their arms and held on tight to them. "Got you," Izuku placed an arm around her gently. "We won't let you go."
"We promise...that you can put any faith you have left in us. Even if it's only a little," Izuka put a gentle hand on her head. "You're safe with us." Her horn glowed a little as they looked up towards the light. The two then gasped sharply as Overhaul touched the ground, looking down at them angrily.
"Give her back!" He yelled at the twins, breaking apart the pillar to send moving spikes their way. The two maneuvered around them, sliding down one briefly. They didn't let go of Eri the entire time, because she didn't belong to him. Even if he managed to fatally hurt them, they would not give her back to him.
Neither of us can dodge well in mid-air. Izuka could support us, but she's reaching her limit He glanced at the arm that was burning, and she kept it as far away from Eri and her brother as possible. The last thing she wanted to do was hurt either of them with her power. Looking up, he could see Overhaul heading right for the twins. We won't let go! We'll never let her go. We'll keep her safe. No one will ever hurt her again! His eyes shook as he silently vowed to not disappoint Eri again, even if he died today.
My arm is burning up and it hurts like hell, but I don't care right now. He will not get to her, even if he beats us. I'm only sorry that I can't help us out much right about now. Izuka's eyes shook a little as well as she gripped Eri's clothing into a fist, but didn't touch her actual skin. We won't give her back to him...he doesn't deserve to keep abusing her and tormenting her the way that he has. Part of being a hero...is to ensure the safety of others, right?
"Why don't you tell me what kinda hero you wanna be?" Izuku remembered Mirio asking before work-studies started.
I will be strong so no one has to worry about me.
I will not be the same person I was before so that I can fight alongside people like them Izuka thought of her brother, Shoto, and Katsuki once again. They had kept inspiring her so much that she felt like if she lost today, she'd be letting them down, and her classmates as well.
I will win Izuku's hand sparked with red veins.
I will prevail Izuka felt her burning arm fire up bigger than usual.
I will save people Izuku gritted his teeth up at Overhaul.
I will shine like the moon! A flash of determination spark from her eyes as she looked up.
The twins yelled while stepping on spikes hard enough to break them, Izuka giving off an explosion from reaching her limit against it. She grunted in pain from doing so though, because she hadn't pushed herself like this in her life until now. And she honestly didn't know if she could keep it up for much longer, but she had to. Not just for Eri's sake, but the rest of the group and the world as well.
Overhaul created more spikes, reaching out his hand. The two completely disappeared as he was about to attack them, the twins being that fast. A huge wind appeared around Overhaul and then the wind caused all the rocks to break and fall. Ryukyu shielded her students while her form was taking the most of it. Tsuyu was supporting Sir Nighteye, who was still awake, but his mobility was pretty much gone thanks to his injuries. He looked up ahead while he saw the twins soar into the surface with Eri, sparkles coming from them. They then gasped as they looked up, seeing that they were practically flying on their own and not with Izuka's power. And the wind blew into Izuka's arm to make the flames go away, but she was still in pain as she felt her arm throbbing. The sparkles were revealed to be coming from Eri's horn as her Quirk was activating on its own.
A big rock came off and landed near Ryukyu. "Hold on. What happened?" She questioned while looking around.
Ochaco weakly got onto her feet, looking up. "Where are Deku and Callista?" The brunette wondered in concern. She then gasped sharply as she saw Overhaul nearby, and his jacket was covered in blood. "Chisaki!"
Some blood flew from his head as he stood there in silence.
Izuku looked around them in shock. Those attacks somehow blasted us straight into the sky. Sorta like All Might's New Hampshire smash. The air pressure propelled us at a high speed. Did I lose control...like when I fought Kacchan?
I can't believe that just happened... Izuka slowly opened her eyes, gasping as she saw their surroundings. I've never used my power when I'm at my limit like that once during my time training. Is it because I'm that determined to rescue Eri? It felt like when Katsuki would reach his limit in a way...
Overhaul gripped his right arm, his hand having been blasted off. He used his Quirk to restore it no problem. "I never told her what her power is..." He growled while stumbling forward. "Much less how to use it. Eri...Naughty girl. You belong to me..."
Eri continued to hold onto the twins. In other words...I used One for All at 100 percent. No, that can't be right! His eyes widened as he remembered something back when he first got the power. If I had, my leg would be broken.
And somehow, I used my power without exploding my arms, but that can't be. Izuka recalled explaining her Quirk to Toshinori when they first met. My arms should be blasted right about now, but all I feel is a little pain, that's all. There's no way I'm wrong about that.
Overhaul reached out to the unconscious Katsukame, a surge of power occurring as the body disappeared. "In order to realize the old man's greatest wish...I need you," He looked up, his face bloody and his mask damaged. "Eri..."
"Not good," Ryukyu gritted her teeth as she looked up.
"You needn't worry," Sir Nighteye spoke up, getting the attention of her, Tsuyu, and Ochaco. "You three are safe. At least for the time being..." He still had the spike in his stomach and arm; he'd bleed out if they pulled them out of his body. "He's not going to target any of us."
The twins and Eri continued falling towards the ground. "He'll head to the surface in pursuit of Midoriya and Mido," He recalled what he saw from his Quirk. "And Eri." Tsuyu's eyes saddened towards him in worry for his current state. "Then...he'll...kill Midoriya and Mido. And escape..."
Ochaco gasped in horror after hearing this about two of her best friends. The twins dying...just hearing it was breaking her heart. She knew that they were really strong, but not being able to win against Overhaul...she didn't want to believe it. But she also knew that Sir Nighteye's Foresight was never wrong either from what she had heard. The thought of losing the two of them scared her, she felt like she had to do something to prevent their deaths from happening. "We can't let him-" She let out another gasp as once she moved, she fell to the ground. Her lost energy from before was catching up to her. She gritted her teeth, her eyes desperate to not let her friends die today. She couldn't let it happen, but she also couldn't get back up... I want to move...but I'm so weak! Deku! Mido! She looked up towards the twins in the sky.
Eri opened her eyes and finally realized they were in the air. She looked up at the two as they smiled at her. "I foresaw it," Sir Nighteye murmured and Ryukyu slammed a hand onto the ground.
"We can't just sit here and do nothing!" She declared while looking up, ready to fly.
"Given the shape you're all in...you cannot stop him. I'm sorry..." Sir Nighteye mumbled to them in despair. He didn't want them to die either or for Eri to be right back to being tortured. But to him, there was nothing they could do. Ryukyu's team was still weakened thanks to Katsukame using the boost in his Quirk, so none of their attacks would be enough to stop Overhaul. And all of their friends weren't in great shape either, and all over the building for that matter. So he knew that the twins would have to do this on their own, even if it resulted in death...but that was just the way their fate would play out, as grim as it was.
"That doesn't matter," Ochaco grunted out, and he turned to her curiously. She used her zero gravity around her to make herself float. "I have to do something...and help them!" She wobbled while walking over; they had affected her life so much...she wouldn't let them die. Without either of them, she wouldn't be fighting this hard or trying to prove herself as a hero. And she knew that the twins had an effect on the entire rest of their class as well. None of this would've been possible without Izuku or Izuka. So she couldn't let it end like this, no matter what fate had in store. "There is no future...except the one you create!" She declared while seeing a shadow up ahead, rocks flying everywhere. She kneeled while unable to move much further. Sir Nighteye then remembered what the twins said earlier, since it was similar to what Ochaco said.
"Even if it's set in stone, I'll smash that future!" Izuku declared to Overhaul, glaring towards the man.
"Fate doesn't need to be chosen for anyone as long as they shape it themselves!" Izuka snarled at him angrily.
The twins finally landed by sliding onto the street outside of the Hassaikai residence. Tsuyu helped Sir Nighteye by cradling his head, shielding him from the flying rocks. "...Froppy," He spoke up quietly, getting her attention.
"Ribbit?" She looked down at him in confusion.
"You go help Mirio. He's on the other side of the wall. Through that hole." He then looked towards Ochaco and Ryukyu, who was staring at the ominous shadow up ahead. "Uravity. Ryukyu. I need your aid..." He looked up towards the sun. "Take me...to the surface."
The rocks continued falling down below.
My body's on fire! Izuku thought while holding Eri. She hugged both of their necks. Wait, now it's cold. I used all of my power, but...I'm okay. My bones are intact! In fact, even my injuries from before are gone.
What...is going on? Izuka was so confused while panting slowly, catching her breath. My arm isn't in pain anymore somehow. I reached my limit, and yet I'm standing here perfectly fine. I'm not burning up anymore. Even my injuries are healed.
Despite the fact that they both had blood on their clothes, the injuries from their clothing had disappeared. It was like they were never there. The two slowly put Eri down and noticed her glowing horn. The two bent down to her.
"Is this your power at work?" He asked the little girl gently.
"Reminds me of Recovery Girl, but much different," Izuka gave her a small smile. "At least we won't be making her mad after today, huh? If that's true, then thank you so much, Eri."
Eri's eyes shined a little at the girl, unable to respond.
"Are you...a healer?" Izuku wondered to Eri, who clamped her mouth shut. The sparkles were still coming from her horn. Their heart beats started to react out of control, the twins grunting in pain. Eri stepped back in alarm as they were shaking. "What's happening? It's like my body is being pulled apart from the inside," Izuku hugged himself tightly.
"Ahh, it hurts...!" Izuka gripped at her heart. Eri looked down at them in a bit of horror. "Why are we reacting like this all of a sudden...?" She couldn't help but feel that this had something to do with the fact they were healed, but she had no idea why. Eri's healing was gradual, so they shouldn't be feeling like this at all...
"She has no control over it," A deep voice spoke up and she gasped sharply. The twins whipped around as a bunch of cracks approached all of them. They headed for Eri specifically and the two jumped to grab her, leaping away from the ground. Huge spikes came towards them and they landed safely, hugging the girl protectively. "She may have activated her Quirk in time, but she doesn't know how to turn it off. Isn't that right, Eri?"
They looked up ahead...and saw what Overhaul had done to himself. This time around, his lower body was a monstrous stone figure, and he had multiple appendages with clawed hands. His upper body was still the same was before, hanging from the mouth of the form, and he had Katsukame's mask on. The twins glared towards him, knowing what he did.
He fused himself with that guy Ryukyu's team dealt with...! He's really not going to give up, is he? Then again, given what I theorized about him, this shouldn't come as a surprise to me... Izuka thought while sweating anxiously.
"She has the power to rewind people. That's her secret," The upper body moved up to reveal Overhaul. "Use her right, and you might even be able to turn someone back into a monkey. If you keep carrying her like that, you'll both be annihilated. Everyone who touches her is rewound into nothingness. Didn't I tell you that the girl is cursed? Hand her over. The only way to stop her is to disassemble her. Or did you two want to be wiped out of existence?"
Izuku tied what was left of Mirio's cape around his upper body to carry Eri in. He glared up towards Overhaul, Izuka clenching her fists. "Kay, Eri. Hold on," He warned the little girl.
"Don't worry about us getting hurt, we can take anything he gives," Izuka glanced towards the two of them.
"So that's it. The moment my leg was hurt, you rewound it back to before it was broken," Izuku guessed correctly, giving a small chuckle. "I never even felt the pain..."
"And the moment my arm was hurt and that I'd reach my limit, you did the same to before that happened," Izuka gave Eri a small smile. "I can't even express how amazed I am that I was able to use it still because of you."
"It seems to us your Quirk is a blessing, Eri!" Izuku stated while keeping his eyes on Overhaul.
Izuka nodded sharply in agreement. "Remind me to properly thank you once this is over," She smiled a little towards the girl. Eri gained tears in her eyes from how she was being praised for the first time because of her Quirk...her whole life, she thought it was a curse, that she was something to be feared. That was what Overhaul kept telling her after she was in the care of her grandfather, after all...but now, the opposite coming from people she just met today...she wanted to believe that her power was good for the first time in her life.
Izuku's veins grew onto his body. We understand her power's effects now. And how fast her rewind works.
Izuka's purple energy came from her, her hair flying above her head. Eri's tears fell onto Izuku's hero costume. She doesn't even have to touch us, her horn is what does it. Which will make things easier for us since she's around his back. I'm honestly a little jealous that she has this amazing power.
So, we just have to keep smashing ourselves up at a greater speed than she heals us. Or in Izuka's case, she just has to keep using her power on a greater scale so that she'll keep reaching her limit for Eri to heal her. Izuku then broke through his glove at the same time that a huge burst of flame came from Izuka's right arm. One for All, Full Cowling! 100 Percent!
Solar Galaxy! Izuka looked up, her eyes flashing as she powered up, her shoes imploding a little. The hair and energy from the twins were much lighter in color, a huge amount of power circling from the both of them. Izuka was also floating above the ground.
"Eri, will you please lend us your power?" He asked and she gripped his shoulder.
"We want to do this, but only if you're okay with it," Izuka glared towards Overhaul, and Eri's sparkles from her horn fell onto the girl. Both of them felt charged up, on a level of power that neither of them thought to accomplish until now.
"None of you realize the true value of her ability," Overhaul stared at the trio. "Quirks get exponentially stronger as you develop them. By conducting countless experiments, I extracted Eri's power and I distilled it into its ultimate form. As a result, it doesn't stop at simply rewinding the flesh. It works on a much grander scale. It rewinds the course of the species to a time before Quirks ever existed. Can't you see? Eri represents change," He recoiled back a hand.
Both of the twins growled, but Izuka was more angry than Izuku if that was even possible. Because he didn't watch Tamaki's power get taken away in favor of saving someone else. She did, and the fact that it was what Overhaul wanted all along was pissing her off. And it didn't help to hear about Eri's experiments again...
Overhaul reached out a hand, smashing a building in the process with crazed eyes. "The ability to annihilate Quirks once and for all and change humanity back to normal! With her powers, I can end this infected society. Cure this hero sickness!" He emitted a bunch of smoke towards them as they stared up ahead in silence. "She is mine! Naive little children like you don't know how to use her," Spikes came out of the ground. "It's up to me to cure humanity!" He sent moving spikes towards the twins, but like last time, they disappeared completely in front of him. He gasped as the two were right underneath the chin. Izuku moved back his leg as Izuka flailed back her arm.
Smash!
Solar Jupiter...Wind! A huge gust of wind and water hit Overhaul under the chin the same time as Izuku's kick did, sending the villain up into the sky.
Himiko was watching from down below. "Dang, Izuku and Izuka. Nice," She murmured as she couldn't help but feel impressed. She and Twice were both watching from around the corner of the building. Neither of them expected that kind of power from the twins, and were glad that they couldn't do that back in Kamino. Otherwise the League of Villains would've been screwed.
"Hey, what's Compress doing?" He couldn't help but wonder, as they had lost sight of the duplicate.
The Compress duplicate was being squished back into mud by Ryukyu. "Go on, Uravity!" She encouraged her student, who floated herself and Sir Nighteye into the sky. "Get Nighteye to an ambulance! Try to keep the spike stabilized in his stomach!"
She held her breath while floating them up towards the surface so that she wouldn't throw up. Even if she ended up doing so, she was going to keep going for Nighteye's sake.
The twins and Eri spun around in the air thanks to the huge amount of wind from their attacks. Both of them then grunted in pain because Eri's Quirk was affecting them again, but it was more so understandable to them than something to fear like Eri was expecting to hear. Eri's power has gotten even stronger. There was a big beam of yellow coming from Eri's horn this time around. Chisaki said she doesn't know how to stop her Quirk. Just like when I first used One for All and had no idea how to control it. He hasn't given her any training or guidance. So she's completely lost.
Izuka glanced at the little girl nearby, gritting her teeth in pain from her body. Just by looking at her, she can't be no more than 6 years old. Kids her age would've gotten at least a little control, but her childhood was much different than most people. I know how that feels. I had trouble controlling my Quirk at just 15 because I didn't use it at all growing up. And the bastard said the only way to stop her was to disassemble her...just how many times has he had to do that instead of just guiding her to make it stop on her own? She reminds me of when I didn't know I could utilize powers from all of the planets.
Overhaul glared down at the twins while trying to get over their attacks.
"Chisaki," The Hassaikai boss started off to the man, and he was not happy. "I'm told that you started another brawl. Your opponent's in critical condition," He had his arms crossed, leaning against the wall with his eyes closed. Kai was cleaning himself up from the fight. It was something that the leader did not approve of, he still had standards for the yakuza that Kai didn't seem to agree with. And clearly, this wasn't the first time Kai acted on his own.
"I just laid out a punk who was moving in our turf," He simply replied without looking back. "Trying to save our plummeting reputation." He then finally looked back. "We have to set an example so they know who's boss around here."
"Is that so?" The older man asked a bit thinly. "I know you started a new racket without my approval," He glared a little. "I told you not to get involved with drugs," He then sighed a little, straightening up. "Listen, I appreciate that you're trying to repay me for taking you in. But...you always take things too far, Chisaki. Don't stray from the path I've laid before you."
But no matter how many times he had heard this...that wasn't the right solution, Overhaul knew this. And he just couldn't side with the boss over it. He felt that he had to change things to put them back on the map. Yet it was something his father kept discouraging, but he just wanted to prove himself...prove that he was grateful to the head for taking him in.
"Obsolete yakuza ideals won't save the organization," He hung his head in annoyance. "Why doesn't the old man understand?"
"Well..." Chrono spoke up, wearing his hoodie and jeans. Both of them were on a balcony at night, looking out to the city full of lights. "You have to admit, the idea of yakuza once again ruling the underworld does sound more like a dream than a reality."
He closed his eyes, putting his fists to his forehead. "I'll make it happen. Just wait..." He responded breathlessly, and then changed his mask because of the start of his idea. "If my plan succeeds, there'll be no stopping the Shie Hassaikai. First, during the research phase, we'll release some of the unfinished product. Let people catch a whiff," He walked down the hall with Chrono, who had a white mask over his face. "A drug that depowers heroes? It'll be irresistible. And once we've established a hunger for it...we'll sell the finished product at exorbitant prices," He held up the red bullet in his fingers. "Then, we'll introduce a counterdrug to the heroes that uses rewind to restore a lost Quirk." This would be represented by a blue bullet instead of red. "While we sell the bullets to the villains...we'll sell the serum to the heroes. And since Eri's flesh is the source of the drug, we'll have a complete monopoly on the market! Then Shie Hassaikai will once again rule Japan from the shadows!"
"Chisaki," The boss spoke up sternly after Kai had explained everything to him in his office. "I told you to forget about this. She's a child," He glared up at Kai for even getting Eri involved into this. When he took in the girl, this was not what he wanted for her. And he wasn't going to put her through that kind of torment and hell. She was his only family now after all, he had to make sure that she didn't go through something like that. And he just also didn't want to involve a child into his yakuza life. Kai compared to her was a teenager when he arrived, and the environment of the Shie Hassaikai was not fit to raise a child. "Have you completely lost your humanity? If you're set on going against our ideals, then...you have no place here."
Kai didn't respond, looking towards the ground. His left hand then twitched a little from anger. After hearing him out, after everything he had seen around here...the old man still wasn't going to let him change things. He didn't understand why the boss didn't see things his way, especially since it wouldn't even cost them anything...he felt like the boss and his personal feelings were getting in the way too much that to Kai he felt like his father couldn't see why he was right. They could be doing so much better if they followed his plans...
"You don't get it. You took me in," He growled while clenching a fist and storming forward. "I just want to repay you..." He slowly took off his glove, his shadow looming over the man. He gasped sharply at what Kai was planning on doing. "Not to worry. Just lay back...and relax."
The next thing the old man knew...he was in a coma thanks to Overhaul. "I owe you everything. You were strong, but those diseased heroes backed you into a corner," He put on his coat, walking away from the bedridden man. "Once my plan is on track, I'll repair you. And you'll thank me for what I've done..." He then looked over his shoulder one last time. "Pops..." He couldn't regret anything because he could just bring back the boss. Or Eri could if he really wanted to resort to it. So when the Shie Hassaikai had taken over, then he'd bring him back so that they could relish in the success together.
Feathers flew from his body, thinking about his father again...and what he would say now. He then looked up wide-eyed, frustrated and angry. "Why doesn't anybody...see the big picture?" He then created a tornado of sorts with his fused body. "I'm going to tear down this entire world. Destroy its very foundation!"
A spark of blue and purple zipped around him, belonging to the twins. Both of them appeared on opposite sides, staring at the chaos he was giving. Eri was bracing herself, clinging onto Izuku. "You're all blinded by some outdated sense of what's 'right.' You're just pretending to be heroes!" He then gained large arms while reassembling himself. "I won't let you stand in my way!" He growled while preparing to attack the both of them.
The twins glanced down at their opponent, sparks coming from their eyes as he turned towards them. The three circled each other.
"If we can't save Eri..." Eri glanced up at Izuku, who then came in fast towards Overhaul. Izuka did the same from the opposite side of the villain. "One small child who's relying on the both of us to help her..."
"To make her smile again..." Izuka moved up her leg and then swung around to fire a Solar Comet Burst, which Overhaul avoided. "Someone who didn't even know who I was and yet wanted to see me for herself!"
Overhaul was sent flying backwards and then he braced himself to implode his own arm. He let out a yell as he blew off his limbs and then used the flying skin to give himself bigger arms and legs. He looked up at the two wide-eyed as they flew in front of the sun together.
"Then how can we call ourselves...heroes who save everybody?!" The two shouted while recoiling back their fists. Together, they gave him huge punches of flaming power directed towards Overhaul. As he fell, the hits started to affect his body, essentially breaking down his limbs to pieces. He looked up as the twins loomed over him, huge waves of energy emitting from the both of them. The villain watched as they recoiled back their fists again. "That's who we're gonna be!"
The two then punched him in the face so hard that they managed to separate Katsukame from his body. As they fell, his mask flew away from his face and then there was a small explosion. Ochaco held on tightly to Sir Nighteye from the wind, looking up in concern.
"Where are they...?" She murmured as Sir Nighteye lifted up his head. "Nighteye?"
He gasped in disbelief, confusing the girl. "But I saw it..." He mumbled as there was a light up ahead. "Chisaki succeeded and escaped...while Midoriya and Mido lost their lives." The light was coming from Eri's horn. He continued staring as blue and purple energy sparked from something near Eri. "That is immutable future. I saw it so clearly..." His voice broke as Ochaco could see something from all of the smoke.
She looked up in alarm to see that Overhaul was unconscious, blood over his face. He wasn't going to get up any time soon.
"But this...is new..." Sir Nighteye felt like his whole perspective was no longer true. That he couldn't change fate, that he couldn't prevent death even if he foresaw. That it was just bound to happen...that was why he insisted that All Might retire the last time they talked. But today...two people managed to change everything for him. "A different set of events."
The twins were alive and still standing, panting as they looked up towards Overhaul. Ochaco stared at them in a bit of awe and concern, still holding onto Sir Nighteye. Does that mean that the future...can be changed?
He couldn't even believe it for himself. Back when he met Izuku, he didn't think very highly of him. He believed Mirio was the one destined to take One for All. But it was now possible...that he was wrong the whole time. Izuku and Izuka both proved...that they were worthy of what All Might had planned for their future as heroes. And maybe in the future...he would be willing to agree with his hero that he chose the right successors for being the Symbol of Peace and the Symbol of Light. Because now, he wasn't sure if he could say anymore that they didn't deserve All Might's teaching.
"Even if it's already been decided...even if it's set in stone...I'll smash that future!" Izuku remembered what he said, gritting his teeth.
"You don't get to decide our future, because that all falls on us! Fate doesn't need to be chosen for anyone as long as they shape it themselves!" Izuka looked up, her hair flying behind her as she kept her eyes narrowed. The energy from the twins was still coming off strong from the both of them. Eri clutched onto Izuku's back.
Today, the twins had shown...just why the future couldn't be fated for anyone. Because they had been victorious against Kai Chisaki, the young head of the Shie Hassaikai. The fate of the twins, while uncertain to Sir Nighteye now, was definitely complicated...but it was also a promising future for the both of them if this battle was what they had to show for it.
