Angel: Someone asked why have Izuka fail the provisional license exam if she was going to be in the Hassaikai Raid—was it just a forgotten fact that Mr. Aizawa was punishing her in his own way for fighting All for One? That still happened, you know. And it's not like he was okay in the start with her being in the raid because he wasn't, her own classmates and Izuku managed to convince him to let her go through other circumstances. I know that neither of those plot points weren't received the best way either, but still. And it's not like a blink and you'll miss it moment either.
Whether people agree or disagree on what's written, they're the opinions you have from something I'm solely working on. It does not mean I have to bend over and change things just because people don't like something. That's not how I operate.
I forgot to bring this up because MissLiss said that Katsuki hasn't changed. I mean…when you talk about Katsuki in the story, clearly there's a change he's in denial of. I dunno, whenever a certain girl gets involved, he changes pretty quickly~ Someone also mentioned that Izuka should have a transformation where she gets wings of light. I...think this has been addressed before by someone else...? I don't really remember. But gee! I wonder what's coming up that has a transformation in a particular movie XD
9 days ago, provincial town—Deika City
A tragedy occurred in Deika City.
One that would go down in history.
And unbeknownst to us...it was merely the prologue of a greater cataclysm to come.
And the start of people's opinions on heroes...really start to change.
Buildings started to crumble and break apart, followed by all the streets. Cars started to sink from the uneven ground, and soon, Deika City was engulfed in smoke. Nothing could be seen for a bit...and a purple lone flower shook. It was then stomped by a bloody leg. Shigaraki, his face covered with blood, started laughing maniacally from all the damage. And he continued this laughter while Deika City was in shambles. One second a city, and the next...reduced to rubble. And Shigaraki was enjoying all of it.
The other villains left as well, only for several of them to be struck from behind with explosions thanks to Katsuki. The leader gasped as he looked back, seeing his group falling to the ground.
He looked up towards the man. "Now what was it you were saying about getting away?"
"That's it!" The villain pointed his hands towards them. "I'm through playin' around!" He shot multiple streams of water.
The leader suddenly grabbed Izuka by the hair, pulling her off her flying star. Katsuki growled as both boys tried to fire, but Izuka's struggling and moving around made it hard to get a proper shot.
"Take the shot!" She cried out while wiggling her legs.
"Shut up!" Katsuki narrowed his eyes, his hand shaking. He shouldn't be hesitating, but he had no idea if the villain had any other weapons. And Shoto knew that if he fired as well, he'd most certainly hurt her.
Izuka swung up her head to hit the villain with the back of it. "Agh! Damn brat!" He released her, holding his jaw. She then moved down her arm hard to elbow him in the gut with her elbow. She summoned a flying star, getting out of range.
"Now!"
Shoto swung his arm to fire a huge explosion of fire, his hand a little cold. "Flashfreeze Heatwave!"
"Wow," Someone gushed while watching the video from last night. "Pro-level work, mere minutes after earning provisional licenses!" A reporter was at Heights Alliance, having wanted to interview the three students involved in the fight. "This morning, we welcome three students from UA. Young heroes who recently took down some rampaging villains," She then looked up at the three across from her. Izuka was sitting between Shoto and Katsuki, looking a little nervous. Although for some reason, Katsuki had a bandage over his finger. "Shoto Todoroki, Izuka Midoriya, and Katsuki Bakugo. What a pleasure it is to have you join us."
Katsuki just scoffed as he didn't want to do this. "Um...hi," Izuka waved a little, coughing. She should've been used to the amount of times she was on TV, but this was something she didn't expect to be doing...
"Uh..." The reporter looked a little put off as the three weren't as positive as she thought. "You must have bonded during your training, given how well you worked together, huh?" She tried to break the ice.
"Does it look that way to you?" Katsuki snarled towards her. "Ya better get your eyes and head checked out soon then."
"Don't be rude," Izuka frowned in disapproval, looking at him. She then turned to the woman with an anxious laugh. "Sorry, he can be a little prickly."
"That's right, we're all friends," Shoto answered, to the annoyance of Katsuki.
"Huh?! Where the hell do you get off making up random crap like that, you icy-hot idiot?!" Katsuki shouted towards him—the last thing he wanted was to be friends with Shoto. As for Izuka, he wasn't even willing to touch that subject.
"Mmm," Izuka pinched her nose, looking embarrassed. "I'm friends with both of them, but..." She looked away awkwardly as it was more tense than anything else when it came to her, Katsuki, and Shoto as a friend group. Not as bad as she and Katsuki used to be, but still not great...
"We've spent a lot of time together in our supplementary classes," Shoto pointed out to Katsuki.
"Because the school forced us to!"
"You weren't forced, you both chose to take those classes instead of waiting several months," Izuka corrected while leaning back, closing her eyes.
"Shut up! Training beside each other doesn't mean we're friends!" Katsuki angrily stated to them. Izuku, Ochaco, and Tenya were appalled by this behavior, to say the least.
"How do you define friendship? And you train with Mido sometimes. That's not friendship either? What is your relationship with her then?" Shoto wondered, causing Izuka to sit back up wide-eyed. Katsuki flinched from the questions, trying not to remember the kisses or their last spar. Izuku and Ochaco gasped sharply as they awaited with bated breath.
"How the hell should I know?!" He snapped as he wanted to keep those answers to himself—and he certainly would never admit them on TV. Izuku and Ochaco then fell to the ground in disbelief from his answer. "And anything with her is none of your business! You should get your brain checked too!"
"Shouldn't we be focusing on what happened with the villains?" Izuka sighed a little from his behavior, as she had no clue what he was going to say. And she doubted he'd even answer her anyway if she was the one asking.
The reporter turned towards Izuka next curiously. "How about you, Midoriya? How has your relationship developed with them?"
She blinked from the question as she didn't know if that was necessary to answer. But if she didn't, it'd look bad. "Oh, um, is that really important? Shoto and I are very good friends, and K—"
"Oh? You're on a first-name basis with Todoroki? Does that mean Class 1-A has its first couple?" She smiled in excitement. All three of them froze on the spot. Izuku, Ochaco, and Tenya were also very shocked, their eyes comically wide. Shoto and Izuka were definitely...not couple material. Izuku could see it only if she had shown any interest in him in that way, which she never had.
"…Huh?" Izuka stared at the reporter as her eyes felt small. She couldn't wrap her head around the question either.
"WHAT?!" Katsuki stood up in anger after processing it himself. Even though he knew they were not a couple, it still made him mad just thinking about it. And his past jealousy also wasn't helping... "THERE'S NO WAY IN HELL THOSE TWO ARE A COUPLE! SCREW OFF!"
"It's true. Mido and I aren't together. We're just friends," Shoto answered, glancing at her and Katsuki. He supported them in silence rather than himself and Izuka. He usually saw her in a little sister way.
"Really?" The reporter blinked, looking towards the girl who still hadn't responded. "Midoriya, do you harbor feelings for Todoroki?"
"She doesn't! And anyone who says she does can come ask me because they'll be dead!" Katsuki interjected before she could even answer. She looked up at him and grabbed him by the arm to try and calm him down.
"Katsuki, stop!" Izuka protested up at the boy.
The reporter gasped as she wondered if it was Katsuki she was going out with in secret. "Mido, are you holding out on us about your love life?!" Her eyes shined a little.
Izuka groaned while hanging her head. "I'm not accepting any more love questions at this time…"
Later on, the interview was uploaded online.
It was the end of December, with a few short days left until the second term came to a close.
And that meant the holidays were coming up soon! Although that interview's final cut did not go so well...
"You must have bonded during your training, given how well you worked together, huh?" The reporter asked from the video that was out.
"That's right, we're friends," Shoto answered, but then it didn't show Katsuki's reaction.
"I'm friends with both of them..." Izuka's reaction of looking away was still kept in, but not her annoyance of Katsuki's protesting.
"It must've been frightening."
"No. Not frightening. I've been taught to focus on the task at hand," Shoto answered while keeping his normal expression, blinking.
"And I've been improving a lot during training," Izuka smiled at the camera. "So I can handle it."
Denki and Hanta laughed while the former pointed to his phone. Floods of tears flew from their eyes while Mina blinked at her phone.
"This next question's for Midoriya."
"They were interviewed for an entire hour, but all Bakugo's answers were trashed!" Denki cried out in amusement. "He's just an angry blip on the corner!" All anyone could see of Katsuki was half his face next to Izuka.
He gritted his teeth angrily as the two boys kept laughing at him. "Why'd they cut me out...?"
"Honestly, they kind of did him a big favor," Ochaco murmured while holding her cheeks.
"And he'd already done 2 interviews before this one," Momo frowned a little.
"So much for racking up any good press over that throw down," Kyoka remarked while spinning her earphone jack. Izuka was sitting next to Momo, deciding not to interject because she didn't want people asking her about who she was interested in. Izuku gave a small sympathetic smile towards his childhood friend, knowing that him and the press weren't a good match...
"They're newly-minted, but those students were reliable," He heard from his phone, looking back at the news. They were reporting on the Deika City Incident. "It's my sincere hope that they're able to work as actual pros in the near future. We must not have a repeat of what happened in Deika City. It's been 9 days since that fateful incident, when a riot of only 20 people destroyed the city in scarcely less than an hour."
Minoru looked up at Izuku while Tenya walked over with a frown. "I heard that the damage in Deika City was worse than in Kamino, but since it was less populated, there were fewer casualties."
"And to blame?" The newswoman asked while narrowing her eyes. "Villains hoping to lower the public's estimation of heroes through destruction and the loss of innocent life."
"It's foolish to blame the heroes of Deika for this event," A civilian answered while being interviewed. "In my opinion, the whole system needs to be reformed."
"Don't hate on the heroes for doing their best," A musician argued after being approached. "It's not like they have office gigs."
"I hope this makes them wanna work even harder!"
"We keep doing our best as long as the pros do too!"
"Let's ask our commentator, Kuraishisu, what he has to say," The newswoman announced, the three continuing to watch. Izuka looked over them as she overheard, frowning a little. She was upset as well when she heard the news about Deika...
"In the past, if there was an incident with this many casualties, everyone would be blaming the heroes for their ineptitude in the field. But right now, I suppose you could say we're at a critical juncture in time. For the most part, I've seen more encouragement than disapproval."
It was definitely the opposite reaction of Kamino...
Ochaco walked over, her fingers around her eyes. "Ever since that Look Boy was on TV, people have been seeing things differently!" She explained with a smile.
"Look at them!" The fan shouted while Endeavor was fighting off the High-End Nomu and Izuka was rescuing people nearby. "Do you know what both of them are doing right now?" He implored to the TV. "Endeavor's risking his life for our sakes while she's supporting him by rescuing everyone being affected!"
Mina walked over to Shoto with a grin, doing the same thing as Ochaco. "He made everyone root for the new number one!" He didn't respond though, and even if he could, the door opened.
"Not so fast, kids," A voice spoke up, Eijiro and Denki gasping. "It may look like there's a renewed love of heroes. But think about why. The world's on fire and everyone's scared. Are people cheering for pros they've got ample faith in? Or are they praying desperately we don't get our butts kicked?" Two women struck poses, revealing to be Midnight and Mt. Lady. "Our job's been more about celebrity in past years. Now the world wants to see real heroes again!"
"Whoa, Mt. Lady?" Izuku looked at the two in shock. Minoru was just as in shock, though for his own reasons. He saw them on an interview together, but never in person.
Mr. Aizawa appeared in the doorway, wearing his sleeping bag. "Mt. Lady has dropped in as a guest instructor. She'll teach you how to deal with publicity." Considering how he disliked the media, he was the wrong person to do so. "And Midnight's here to assist her."
"What publicity?" Katsuki wasn't too happy about this lesson. "I keep getting cut!"
"Maybe you'll do better after training!" Eijiro encouraged him from behind.
"I'm psyched to see her," Minoru pointed up at Mt. Lady in protest. "But isn't she the most celebrity-obsessed pro there is?"
"Quiet, shrimp!" Mt. Lady smacked his hand away. She held up a card that said Media, like All Might did with Battle and Mr. Aizawa with Rescue. "Today's lesson is Media 101, taught by an active pro and obscenely gorgeous hot commodity named me, the perfect person to show you how to behave like savvy heroes."
"I have no idea what we're gonna be doing," Eijiro grinned, clenching a fist, turning to his class. "But let's do our best and go Plus Ultra, you guys!"
"Yeah!" Most of them cheered at this.
"In today's class, you'll all be practicing hero interviews!" Mt. Lady announced as outside, a stage was even made for them. People were nearby taking pictures.
"Yay!" Eijiro grinned with a wink.
"Shoto, my dear. You first," Mt. Lady beckoned him forward.
"Okay," He answered in a bit of surprise, he and the rest of his class in their hero costumes. Everyone watched as he stepped up, Izuka standing between Ochaco and Katsuki up front.
"My goodness!" Mt. Lady held the mic to him. "You were amazing out there!"
"Wait, what are you talking about?" He blinked as he didn't understand what was going on.
"Pretend you just finished up a big mission!" She retorted back in annoyance. "Go!"
"Right."
"Tell us, Shoto. What kind of hero would you like to be?" Mt. Lady wondered, giving him a small smile.
"Well, I guess...a hero who makes people feel safer?"
"Lovely," She gave him a big grin. "Problem is, if a handsome boy like you showed up to save me, I'm afraid my heart would go into overdrive."
"Oh, do you have heart problems?" He stared while being oblivious.
So dense. But cute Mt. Lady gave a bright smile. He's just my type. She then put the microphone back up to him. "And what kind of ultimate moves are you working with?"
He turned around as frost came from his right hand. He swung it back to create a huge ice wall, and it was so strong that frost hit his classmates. "Heaven-Piercing Ice Wall," He explained while glancing back at his work. "I can use it to cover a wide area and to stop villains. Plus, it can be used as a platform. Additionally, I'm working to refine a move called Flashfreeze Heatwave."
"And hey," Kyoka spoke up curiously. "What about the other fire one he used in the fight against Class B?"
"That's not originally his," Rikido answered for her, since it came from someone else.
"Flashfire Fist!" Toru gushed a little.
"Yeah, Flashfire Fist is my old man's move," Shoto answered while walking towards the staircase.
"Oh..."
"Flashfire Fist. Jetburn!" Endeavor used it against the High-End Nomu.
"The problem is...I'm nowhere near his level," Shoto stated, earning a smile from Izuku.
"Which is why I have to start aiming even higher," He told the twins after joint training.
Oh god, awkward that he had to bring his father up... Izuka glanced away after hearing that. I hope he can figure out a way to adapt it into his own...
"I'm not really here to discuss your family issues," Mt. Lady replied as he got back on stage. "And if you want people to feel safe, I'd recommend smiling at least once. You flash those pearly whites and the ladies will drop dead, ya feel me?" She winked, but he had a look of slight dread after hearing her.
"If I smile, then they'll die...?"
"Moving on!" She shouted at him not getting the point.
"No, they won't die, Shoto. That's not what she meant," Izuka chuckled while closing her eyes. Katsuki just tsked and looked away in annoyance. He didn't think it was very funny.
"So when we do an interview, we show off our moves?" Fumikage called out from the crowd.
"Sweet baby first years," She bent down to get a good look at him. "Remember, you're just starting out. It's not like everyone knows who you are! Your ultimate moves are like your personal calling cards. People won't forget you if you show off your assets. They're also handy when teaming up with others. And as ways to frighten off villains too. Those moves help people learn to trust you with their lives. We don't yell out the names of our attacks just because it sounds cool."
"I'm pretty sure that, until recently, she didn't think about anything except how she looked on camera," Minoru raised a brow, since he was the Mt. Lady expert.
"It's not just Mt. Lady," Mr. Aizawa spoke up, getting the attention of his student. "Right now, all the pros are being challenged to do better. Endeavor's ascent is motivating them."
"Now then!" Mt. Lady grinned at the class. "Let's keep the interviews coming, shall we?"
Tenya volunteered next, raising his hand. "I chose my hero name because it was my brother's, and I want to live up to the honor and passion he embodied as Ingenium."
"You're oozing with sincerity!" Mt. Lady complimented the class rep.
Momo gestured to herself. "My name is Creati, and your safety is guaranteed thanks to my encyclopedic knowledge."
"Confidence makes people rely on you!" Mt. Lady was impressed at how mature Momo was being. Izuka smiled towards the girl.
"Hi there, I'm Uravity!" Ochaco grinned while floating. "My Quirk is Zero Gravity! And when I'm around, your problems and fears are weightless."
"Aw, everyone loves a gentle hero," Mt. Lady gushed as she found Ochaco adorable. Izuka smiled while clapping a little for Ochaco.
"Jet-Black Hero: Tsukuyomi," Fumikage's Dark Shadow appeared behind his back. "Glory is reserved for those who have touched darkness."
"Whoo boy! Talk about a mood!" Mt. Lady remarked, it was more Midnight's thing than hers.
"I'm Red Riot, the Sturdy Hero," Eijiro grinned while his skin hardened. "I'm an impenetrable wall of protection!"
"If you say so, boss!"
"I'm the acid master!" Mina grinned widely when it was her turn. "Pinky!"
"And I'm shocking!" Denki struck a pose to make himself appealing... "I'm Stun Gun Hero: Chargebolt!"
"Get it, guys! I was afraid you'd be hopeless. But you're killing this lesson!"
"I'm not gonna say stupid stuff like that!" Katsuki declared when it was his turn, although this should've came to no one's surprise. "Shut your trap and trust me."
"You're just as bad in an interview by yourself, huh?" Mt. Lady sagged her shoulders in dismay, as she had seen the interview from earlier as well. "I think I understand now. You just have a problem with humanity."
"I'm sorry, Bakugo," Shoto walked up to the stage. "You were completely cut because I was there."
"You're not so great!" Katsuki pointed at the white/red haired boy angrily. "I don't give a damn what you think, and I definitely don't want your apologies!" Mt. Lady just gave a blank look.
"Okay."
"I wonder if it would work if you were there," Ochaco murmured while tapping her chin, Izuka giving a sheepish look at them. "Maybe it'd help him a little..."
"Would it really...?" Her eyebrow twitched a bit, skeptical of that option.
"Aizawa," Midnight murmured as she watched. "Maybe it would be prudent to teach Bakugo to follow your lead and avoid the media entirely."
"No," Mr. Aizawa looked straight up ahead. "I think there are two people he should be learning from right now."
Midnight looked up at the stage curiously as it was Izuka's turn next. "Callista, right?" She kept the same nervous smile from the interview, but it was less strained compared to then. "I'm a big fan. What do you plan to do as a hero?"
"Well, keep saving lives, right?" She rubbed the back of her neck. "I am someone the people can hope to depend on!"
"Aw, come on, you can do better than that. Where's the sex appeal?" Izuka froze upon hearing this, as did Denki and Minoru for perverted reasons. Even Mr. Aizawa was put off by it. Most of the others were just confused. "You've been on TV more than anyone else here, you've gotta learn how to flaunt it!"
"I do not need to do that, I'm only 16!" Izuka yelled in both embarrassment and anger.
"Don't listen to her!" Denki and Minoru shouted to Mt. Lady.
"You two don't get to comment, and I will bury you if you get any thoughts!" She threatened while Katsuki looked annoyed.
"She's got a point, though! How are you gonna deny us?!"
After Minoru asked that question, Izuka immediately hit both him and Denki on the head. Then she hit the two three times more for good measure. Once she was done, her face was red from embarrassment while she gritted her teeth, shaking. "...I don't think it's her style. Even after she performed in the School Festival," Eijiro commented as they all stared down at the boys.
"Honestly, I don't blame her for reacting like that," Kyoka murmured, since Denki and Minoru had been dishonest and scummy several times...
Izuka huffed while storming off the stage. Katsuki just let out a small laugh to himself. He didn't mind that she stepped in this time to deal with the most perverted classmates ever.
"Punish me if you need to, Mr. Aizawa, but I'm not taking it back," Izuka muttered while walking past him and Midnight.
"I have no interest in doing so," He stated while glancing at the boys. "Just don't use any of your fire next time."
And then it was Izuku's turn... "Deku, yes?" Mt. Lady questioned while he wasn't looking so great. Unlike Izuka, he hadn't had as much exposure to the media and he wasn't used to it. "What a treat. I saw you in action."
"I'm glad..." His face was pale, he was sweating, and he was frozen stiff. "Really glad. Just super glad..."
"I'm sure we'd all love to know what was going through your head," Mt. Lady gave a slightly awkward smile.
"Just that...I'm still glad," He could barely even move...
"Holy crap," Eijiro grinned towards him, not realizing that Izuku was pretty anxious. "When'd he learn how to use my Quirk?"
"He's just so nervous, just like Mido was," Tsuyu realized, a finger on her chin. "Now that I think about it, he probably hasn't done anything like this before while she has plenty of times."
"Many viewers have noted that your moves seem to be based on All Might's patented combat," Mt. Lady pointed out to him. Izuka blinked, hoping that was all she was thinking. Because they didn't need anyone else finding out. "Do you admire him?"
"YES!" He yelled with a big smile.
"And now you're yelling..."
"But I didn't want to just copy All Might," Izuku started into his muttering phase, and looked less stiff than before. "So I tried to customize my moves so they feel unique to me while also being true homages to him. For example, with Delaware Smash, I chose a state that All Might didn't name an ultimate after so it feels like I made it my own. Ooh, or how Izuka has her ultimate moves named after planets." Mt. Lady was a bit put off staring at him. "And recently, I've incorporated part of that move into some other things I'm working on..."
"So chatty..." She murmured while looking away.
Izuka sighed heavily and walked over, getting Katsuki's attention. She walked up the steps and stopped by her brother's side. She looked at her fingers before putting them into her mouth and letting out a loud whistle.
"Aah!" Her brother yelped in alarm at her as she dusted herself off. "Oh...did it again, huh? Sorry about that!"
"Not that I hate it or anything, but not everyone can handle Peak Izuku Midoriya," She gestured to her brother. He laughed in embarrassment, rubbing the back of his neck.
"I meant to ask you about his power that went out of control," Midnight spoke up to Mr. Aizawa, referring to Blackwhip during the joint training. "You said he's made progress. But is he okay? And his sister acted strange that day as well, but nothing happened..."
Izuku overheard and then stared at the crowd, who all waited and watched attentively. Izuka glanced at her brother, remembering that it still hadn't reappeared since then. That Quirk isn't just about strength, or hers Mr. Aizawa thought as he looked at the twins.
Right... Katsuki stared at the two with a hand on his hip. One for All's new power...and its connection to Galaxy. As far as I can tell, she still can't unlock her own yet.
Izuku closed his eyes, pointing a hand forward. He then took a deep breath.
He looked at his scarred hand, One for All still sparking around his body. "Like I did before the training match...I don't sense blackwhip anymore."
In the 2 weeks since the new power appeared, I've been visualizing it every day. Looked at how Izuka uses her Jupiter Wind. It's inside me somewhere. That man said to master the ability. That it's waiting for me. Along with others, and that Izuka will do the same. I put a lock on it, but it's still there...and if I'm the one who imprisoned it...I can choose when to use it and when not to. I just have to open the lock... Now. The same way I trained to control a percentage of One for All. He imagined that it was peeking out from a locked door. I'll concentrate and only use the amount of Blackwhip that I can manage safely at this time.
Everyone watched in silence as they expected it to go out of control again. Izuku gasped...as only a tiny amount emerged from his hand. Thankfully not enough to go on a rampage, but not enough to do anything useful... "I did it! Yeah!"
Everyone was baffled as they stared at him in disbelief being happy about that... "Sure, it was just a tiny whisp, but that's the first step to one day controlling this power!"
"Seriously?" Mt. Lady and Midnight deadpanned at him.
"At least it's something," Izuka gave a small awkward laugh.
"Don't be happy about something so weak," Katsuki deadpanned at the two.
The door opened as Toshinori was in his bedroom. "Were you up all night again?"
"Huh?" He turned around to see Principal Nezu entering. "Oh, Principal!"
"It's bad for your coat if you don't get rest."
"No, no, I'm sleeping fine!" He waved his arms rapidly, knowing that Principal Nezu would give him a long lecture if he didn't. "No need to be concerned!"
"It looks like you've chosen Gaunt as your new hero name," He smiled while walking up. "People will worry," He then gasped in a bit of surprise from all the books on Toshinori's desk.
"Uh. There's not much recorded from the early days, and Galaxy's connection is even less documented, so..." He had made notes of the Quirks from the past wielders of One for All for Izuku. And for Izuka, he made a notebook of possible moves she would unlock just based off of what happened when Izuku discovered Blackwhip. "Did you...need something, sir?"
"I have an announcement to share," Principal Nezu revealed with a small smile. "Very soon, we'll restart the work studies program."
Toshinori gasped sharply from him deciding that already. It had only been a few months since last time, he thought it would take even longer. "Hero work studies? Really?"
While Shoto talked with the twins, Katsuki glanced back at them. He was especially annoyed by Izuka and Shoto talking, no shocker there.
Midnight glanced up skeptically after reviewing the proposal to bring back work studies. "I have several questions."
"We're resuming the work studies program this quickly?" Cementoss also had his doubts across from her as all the teachers and the principal were having a meeting about it.
"Don't you have a chair somewhere?" Mr. Aizawa glanced at Principal Nezu being inside of his scarf. He had no idea why his boss made this a habit...
"But it's so much warmer to be snuggled inside your binding cloths," He smiled happily and then turned serious. "We originally decided to pause the program after talking with the agencies. We wanted to reassess everything. But the public safety commission is now requesting that all hero course students get in-the-field training again."
"Requesting?" Vlad King looked up in disbelief, as he didn't think it was time, and yet it was an order now compared to last time. "Are they ordering us to send these kids out?"
"Yes," Principal Nezu answered simply while Midnight flipped a page.
"Does this say...we're somehow short-handed when it comes to pros?" She looked over to the principal. "I thought there was an oversaturation of us."
"Future heroes must learn to deal with the recent increase in villainous organizations," Ectoplasm read from the proposal, and then realized now why they were ordering this on them now. "This is a reaction to what happened at Deika City."
"The League must be involved," Snipe guessed; they wouldn't have brought this to their attention if it wasn't the League. "It's obvious. They're beatin' around the bush here."
"The commission must have intelligence that another crisis might be in the pipeline," Principal Nezu frowned a little. "If they're being vague and not making the information they have public, then they're either hiding what they're doing or protecting sources of information." The president looked up at Hawks standing near the doorway, as he was still being the spy. "As Kayama said, them telling us to restart the work studies feels like a mandate instead of a suggestion from the commission." It was because of the new information Hawks gave...that they were mandating this.
"Makes sense," Mr. Aizawa glanced at the other teachers. "They can't publicly admit that they want to mobilize students. Bad publicity." He didn't necessarily agree with it, but he couldn't also ignore it either.
"I don't like it," Cementoss gave a worried look. "This is unethical."
"Whatever the case, any hero will find themselves in danger regularly. Let's try our best to place the kids in agencies with good track records," The principal suggested, so that they wouldn't have something like the Hassaikai raid again. Or at least be properly prepared for it. "Consider that your winter vacation homework. Please tell your students after this meeting."
"We understand, sir," All the teachers agreed in unison.
"And Aizawa. Concerning the commission's other program..."
A few days later
"It's been four months since UA moved the kids into the dorms," Principal Nezu informed Toshinori and Naomasa over the tablet. Outside the school, it was snowing again. "No one seems suspicious." The teachers would've brought it to his attention already if that was the case.
"You're saying...you don't think there's a spy for the League of Villains among the students?" Naomasa wondered, although something was still off about it.
"If the League acts in the future and we spot no connection, then I'd say it's a fair assumption to make. Although that does make Izuka Midoriya a mystery still..." He rubbed his chin.
"I agree," Toshinori spoke up, as he believed that no one from Class A or B could've given Izuka's DNA or started the wave of rumors both times. "Every one of our hero course students has a heart that beats for justice."
Principal Nezu hummed with a small smile. "You've got that right." Toshinori smiled softly, as Izuka had grown closer to her classmates ever since the whole thing started. So he didn't think they would betray her like that. Especially not her best friends or her brother. "By the way, are you coming back today?"
"We're pretty busy here, so I'm not certain," He blinked in bewilderment and then was concerned. "Why, did something happen with Young Midoriya or Mido? Did someone strike again with rumors or photos?!" Ever since the School Festival, they hadn't been appearing as much. So that didn't leave them with much more clues about who could've done it. Their first thought was someone from the League, but the phone that gave the order wasn't directed to any of them...
"Oh, dear. Is it actually possible that you've forgotten what day it is?" Principal Nezu asked in amusement instead of answering the questions.
"One, two, three," Eijiro started off and the whole common room was decorated for Christmas!
"Merry Christmas, everyone!" Most of them announced together as confetti fell from the sky. All of them were either dressed in green or red. And everyone had a decoration on their hat relating to their Quirk or themselves. Ochaco looked at the food while drooling, Izuka smiling towards her. Rikido approached Mina and Kyoka with cake, the girls smiling. Hanta, Yuga, and Eijiro were all pigging out, though Yuga drunk something elegantly. Momo talked with Koji while Katsuki was in the corner, dressed in black and not wearing anything festive.
Izuka was wearing a red dress with white fluff around her collar, wrists, and skirt. At the end of her Santa hat was an easel decoration. And she had painted Christmas stuff on her skirt as well like reindeer, candy canes, mistletoe, and snowflakes. The girl was walking over with a drink as Izuku noticed her.
"Your outfit's so cool!" Izuku looked at the skirt, realizing something. "Those were painted on?"
"Yeah, it took a while to make sure I didn't mess up, though," She smiled while doing a small twirl to demonstrate.
"I wish I thought of that!" Izuku smiled towards his sister.
"Let me get a picture of it!" Mina cheered while running over. Izuka smiled in the photo, as she was really happy today. Not just because it was Christmas, but because she usually spent it with her family, never with friends. So it was a different and exciting experience for her.
"Work studies are back in action," Eijiro was excited after they had their food. "But we must be the busiest first years in UA history."
"Are the two of you going back to join Ryukyu?" Kyoka looked over to Ochaco and Tsuyu. Izuka was sitting between her and Ochaco.
"Yup, we are," Ochaco looked up with a smile. "What about you?"
A photo was then snapped of them, revealed to be Minoru. "Christmas Eve is the best! Ha ha," He zoomed in on Izuka in particular, drooling...
"Midoriya," Tenya was dressed as Santa, even having the beard. "Mido, what do you have planned? Tell us. Going back to the Nighteye Agency?"
"Yeah, isn't Centipeder the one running that operation now?" Eijiro smiled as he bent down a little. "Be cool to work with that guy again."
"I mean, I might as well count, even though it was never official, I didn't have any paperwork to prove it," Izuka rubbed the back of her neck. Technically Locklock was the one behind the fake paperwork, but it was for an internship, not work studies.
Izuku gave a small smile, scratching his cheek. "I thought so too, but it turns out..."
"Apologies, Midoriya," Centipeder stated while on the phone, working hard. "I'm ashamed to say this, but right now, we don't really have time to take anyone on."
Bubble Girl walked over while carrying a stack of papers, smiling. "Deku, it's been a long time! Sir always did the paperwork by himself, so it's been crazy hard to keep up on our own."
"I did my internship with Gran Torino, but he's also busy, so...right now I'm stuck in limbo," He wasn't too upset over it, though.
"That sucks," Eijiro felt a little bad for his friend.
"But unlike last time when they were optional, this round is mandatory, so there's no need to worry. The school will find a place for us," He explained, as that would be the case for everyone else who wasn't able to secure a work study the first time.
Mina tiptoed over to Katsuki with a red jacket for him, and she got caught.
"Still. S'gotta feel weird," Eijiro commented while Katsuki snarled at Mina.
"What are you sneaking around for?!"
"What? I'm just chilling here!" She hid the jacket behind her innocently, looking towards Izuka.
"Well, about Mr. Best Jeanist-"
"Mido! Use that sex appeal I keep hearing about!" Mina interrupted, to the shock of everyone.
Izuka flinched and looked over her shoulder, grunting. "For fuc-I don't have sex appeal, nor do I want it," She replied in annoyance at Mina, stopping herself from swearing on Christmas Eve. "It's Christmas, don't bring stuff like that up..." The girls all looked at her awkwardly while Katsuki huffed, trying not to blush.
"You goin' back to Jeanist, Bakugo and Mido?" Eijiro ignored the topic, thankfully.
"Huh?!" Katsuki snapped, Denki running up and throwing a hat over his head. And of course, the end of it had an explosion decoration. He then remembered showing Izuka the article that Best Jeanist was missing, as he hadn't shown up to the Japanese Billboard Chart event. No one could pinpoint where he was, so his agency was being run by someone else...
"...I haven't decided yet."
"Bakugo?" Best Jeanist looked down in confusion during the first day of internships. He was combing Katsuki's hair. "You're not choosing a hero name?"
"They were all rejected!" He screamed angrily while being restrained, because otherwise no way would he ever let Best Jeanist comb his hair. Izuka stared up ahead with an awkward expression at them. "And I'd been saving them up too!"
"Oh? Let's hear them."
"King Explosion. Lord Explosion. Explosion Murder!" He recited and Izuka covered her eyes with her hands.
"You're such a child. You should follow your classmate's example. Your hero name is a wish. How you want to be, or how you think you should be." Izuka blinked as she looked up at him. "You haven't started looking beyond yourself yet," He then moved Katsuki's head forward. "I want to show you the outside. The world that needs you. When you become a second year and get your provisional license, come back here. I'll ask you for your chosen name again."
Katsuki slowly took off the hat, frowning.
"But you had a ton of people scouting you after the Sports Fest," Eijiro pointed out, the twins and Shoto staring at him. "You came in first. You could go wherever you want to!"
"I'm not interested in learning anything from some second-tier wannabe," He tossed the hat just as Mina jumped up with the jacket again. He then turned around with a glare towards her. "You touch me and you die!"
"Come on, give in to peer pressure!" Mina tried to convince him. "It's Christmas! Where's your festive spirit?"
The chance of Kacchan putting that on has the same probability of when he'll confess his feelings for my sister out loud for everyone to hear Izuku thought while looking on sheepishly. Izuka giggled a little at Katsuki's stubbornness.
"Hard time to do work studies," Shoto commented as he stared at the two.
"This is supposed to be a party, you guys!" Minoru slammed his hands on the table. "So how about less with the school stuff and more with the holly jolly?"
"Dude, what are you, the Yule Police?" Denki looked at him in a bit of alarm.
"Come on, you guys," Rikido walked up, giving a weirded out look. "Might sound weird, but Mineta has a point. It's time for us to dig in!" He was holding a plate of turkey.
"Sugarman can cook regular food!" The others exclaimed in surprise.
The door suddenly opened, revealing Mr. Aizawa. "Sorry we're late. Have you started the party already?"
They all stared, the twins, Eijiro, Tsuyu, and Fumikage gasping at the sight. Eri had just arrived, wearing red and having white fluff as well as Christmas decorations painted on her dress just like Izuka's outfit. She also had on a Santa hat. "I'm supposed to say...trick or treat?" She tilted her head in confusion at the teacher.
"Not quite. Wrong holiday," He stated while bent down near her.
"Eri Claus!" Ochaco, Eijiro, and Tsuyu exclaimed in unison.
"Oh, she's adorable!" Ochaco slid onto the ground as several of them ran up.
"That looks great on you! Oh! And you're matching with Izuka too!" Izuku smiled brightly, Eri smiling with a hum as that was on purpose. She knew that Izuka would do the same with her outfit. Izuku gave a bright smile, as Kota matched his shoes with him. Now Eri's Christmas outfit matched with Izuka's.
"Aww, Eri! I love that!" Izuka smiled, pressing her hands together.
"In sickness, and in health," Eri recited while pointing at them.
"No, you're even further away now," Mr. Aizawa sighed a little, but didn't bother to tell her which one was which. Given her childhood, it made sense. She was too young to understand holidays or the customs around them when her mother abandoned her.
"Is Togata coming?" Eijiro smiled, clenching his fists. "That guy's a riot."
"I'm afraid he'll be celebrating with his own class tonight," He then smiled warmly towards Eri, gesturing to the party. "Enjoy yourself. Go on."
Izuka covered her mouth, trying not to squeal at how adorable that was. It was rare to see Mr. Aizawa smile genuinely for ANYTHING.
"Mmhm," Eri nodded and walked off.
"Ohmigosh," Ochaco gushed, holding her cheeks. "So cute!"
Eri dug into her pocket, holding up Easter eggs. "Here, take these eggs I painted."
"That's Easter, but thanks!" Ochaco smiled and took them, to Eri's joy.
"And here, Mido, take this. I didn't have time to wrap it," Eri dug into her other pocket, revealing a camera. Izuka gasped and took it happily.
"Thanks, Eri, that's so nice of you! Oh, hey, let's get a photo of us, okay?" She waited for Eri to nod and the three gathered together for a quick photo. "I'm definitely gonna frame this so I can look at it every morning and night! And I have something for you too, I'll go get it."
"Eri! Are you thirsty?" Mina offered the little girl.
"Please," She responded politely and Izuku watched happily with Mr. Aizawa nearby.
"Her horn. Looks like it's gotten bigger," He noticed that her horn was definitely getting more noticeable.
"Yeah...her attitude has remained positive," Mr. Aizawa revealed as the girls surrounded Eri happily. And Eri herself looked happy to be there with them. "She's taking what you and Mido said to heart."
Izuku's eyes shined that she was taking her Quirk as something to embrace instead of fear.
Izuka gave Eri a box, telling her to open it later. Eri smiled and nodded up at her gratefully.
And so, the party continued, with Katsuki actually wearing the Christmas clothes now. All of them ate and talked happily together. Eri sat between the twins while having Rikido's cake, which she enjoyed. She blushed while looking at the twins, who smiled. After that, people lined up to have either their faces or clothes painted by Izuka, who looked overwhelmed by the amount of people. And then when Katsuki yelled to help, it became terrifying for Minoru and Denki. Kyoka then played a song for the party, Tenya acting as conductor...
Then it was present time. Fumikage had brought a sword...! Mashirao looked at him in utter shock. All of Class A had something to give, and they tied strings to the lids of the boxes. Katsuki walked away while a string was tied to his leg and they all pulled to open the presents. Kyoka got a sweater, Denki got a basketball, Hanta got a frog mirror, Mina got a dumbbell, Minoru got...a picture of Yuga. Tenya somehow got gold, and Katsuki got a small object that he couldn't tell what it was. Izuku had gotten Ochaco's present, which was sticky cut mochi. He blushed towards the girl, who held up an All Might keychain. And then, Mashirao was even more shocked as Eri got Fumikage's sword. Eri then opened her present from Izuka to reveal that Izuka had painted boots that she knitted for her. Except unlike Izuka's sneakers, a horn, Mirio's cape, Izuku's hair, a star, a small cat and Mr. Aizawa's binding cloth were painted on them. Eri tried them on happily, looking up at Izuka, both of them smiling.
At the time, not knowing what the future held...all I could think was, I hope we can have a fun Christmas party next year, too. I wished that from the bottom of my heart...
Meanwhile, as we awaited the future...I was just happy to have a Christmas where I didn't have to worry about anything. And I hope that we could do something like this again...
"Yo, Izuka," Katsuki approached her and she glanced back curiously. He was holding a gift bag for her with tissue paper inside. He then shoved it into her arms, to her surprise. "Merry Christmas or whatever."
"Huh? You got me a present?" She looked down at the gift with a small smile that even though they did their gift exchange, he still got her his own personal gift.
"No, I blew up the city," He retorted while glancing away, hands in his pockets. "Of course I got you a damn present. Why wouldn't I?"
She blinked and then gave a small beaming smile at his answer. She didn't think they'd ever get to this point that they'd be close enough for him to give her a present. He flinched from her expression and then blushed, still not looking at her. Mainly because he didn't want her to know he was blushing. "Thank you, Katsu!" She then ran past him and he looked over as she went to the Christmas tree. She picked up something wrapped in white paper, a red bow at the top. She hugged it close as she ran back to him. "Here's yours," She held it out with a happy smile.
He took it silently and gestured to the bag. "Open yours first."
She smiled as she removed the tissue paper, gasping at the gift. Eijiro and Izuku stared at her curiously as her eyes glistened a bit, holding up a pink hand-made scarf. It had little explosion designs all over it too, and it looked like the scarf was made out of cashmere. "Ohh!" She touched it delicately in her hands. "It's so beautiful and soft! Thank you."
"Whoa, that looks awesome!" Eijiro looked over her shoulder to take a look for himself.
"A real pain to sew up, I can tell you that," Katsuki scoffed a little, surprising the three. He looked at his bandaged finger, which happened because of the sewing. "Took me all night once."
"Uh! You...you made it…for me...?" Her eyes glistened that he went out of his way to get the material to do so, and spent a lot of time making it. Cashmere wasn't cheap, and designing it the way he did must've taken him forever. It wasn't too long ago that she said she lost her scarf. So she was surprised that he was willing to lose sleep over making her present.
"I didn't know you even knit," Izuku blinked while staring at the blond. He then smiled at him. "That's so cool, Kacchan!"
"Shut up! It wasn't hard to figure out, ya damn nerd," He huffed at this. "Don't act so surprised! Here, I wanna see you in it." He reached out and grabbed the scarf, wrapping it around her neck. She blushed as he gently moved his arms to make sure it was nice and snug. "There. You...you look really good in it."
Staring at her, he thought back to the whole sex appeal thing…he wouldn't use that word to describe her, though. More like cute than sexy, and…honestly, he'd take that over giving Denki or Minoru any more perverted thoughts. There was just something about Izuka that made her adorable as hell to him.
"Mm..." Her blush deepened at him before she realized he hadn't opened her gift. "O-Open yours..." He raised a brow at her but ripped off the corner. He blinked as he stared at it for a few seconds and she scratched her cheek. "M-Mine is handmade too. But not as good as yours..." She faltered as his breath escaped him. He was holding a portrait that she made of him in his winter gear, firing off an explosion while jumping. It was from the time that they did Joint Training with Class 1-B. Eijiro and Izuku examined it as well, gasping in awe.
"I thought since you wanna become the number one hero that...you'd want something like this maybe," Izuka scratched the side of her cheek bashfully.
"Whoa, it looks just like him!" Izuku smiled and Eijiro nodded.
"Yeah, you really got his manly look down pat, Mido!"
Before Katsuki could comment, Mina popped up between the two. "Aww, young love! Are we looking at the first ever couple of Class 1-A?"
Both of them flinched and turned away, blushing. "N-no!"
"Shut up! It's not like that," Katsuki grunted and Mina let out a whine.
"But you guys are so cute...!"
"I am not damn cute!" The blond got into her face while yelling.
The Christmas party couldn't last forever. Eventually, our thoughts turned back to the issue of where to go for work studies.
After it was over, they were all cleaning up and removing the decorations. Katsuki was stretching for a breather while Izuku moved a table. Izuka walked by with a box of the tree decorations. Shoto stepped up while holding some plates.
"Midoriya, Mido, Bakugo," He spoke up, getting their attention. "If you don't have choices you like, I was thinking...come with me. Do a work study with Endeavor. The number-one hero." Katsuki gave a small snarl while the twins looked at him in shock for the offer.
Izuka was outside on the porch of the dorm building, looking up at the falling snow. She smiled at the atmosphere; she always loved the snow and how each snowflake was different. It always gave her some good inspiration if she wanted to do something winter-related when it came to her art. Her right hand lightly did a brush stroke of white against light blue. She was currently painting the area in front of her.
"Hey."
She gave a small amused chuckle at the familiar voice. "Hi Katsu," She greeted without looking towards him and then gasped, her eyes feeling small. That was the second time she called him that. "I-I'm sorry, that came out of me. I should be asking if I could call you that," She glanced over her shoulder.
"I don't care what you call me as long as it's not Bakugo," He was leaning against the doorway, looking at her. She blinked and then smiled, as she assumed he felt the same way about it that he did when her brother called him Kacchan. If he didn't like it, he would've corrected her already.
"Well, you were the one who came up with it," She pointed out to him and he blushed, grunting.
"Shut up! I don't need the reminder."
She giggled and then looked back up ahead. "The snow's really pretty tonight."
"Of course you'd wanna paint," He muttered loud enough for her to hear. "Whatever. It's not going away, you know?" He raised an eyebrow staring at her. "It's freaking cold out, get inside," He jerked his head towards behind him.
"I will, I will. Scarf," She held up an end of the scarf he gave her just to emphasize that she'd be fine. "Just let me finish this last stroke," She dabbed some more white onto the painting and let out a light hot breath to quickly dry it. Once it was hardened, she started to pack up her stuff.
"You couldn't do this inside?" He closed his eyes in disbelief.
"Being inside sometimes-"
"It's not as authentic and loses the effect, yeah, yeah," He interrupted and she blinked, turning back around to him in surprise. "You said that once."
"Huh?" She murmured and then gave a small smile. She had only said it back when the sports festival was going on, which was a long time ago. And yet he still recalled it being something that she had said not even to him. She had said this to Ochaco and Izuku. "You remembered..."
"You won't let me forget," Katsuki retorted back and she scoffed in amusement. She picked up her things and was about to walk over when she glanced up. She then froze at the sight in front of her.
"Uh!" She paled a little and Katsuki glanced up, sweating a little. Above their heads, hanging from the doorway...was some mistletoe. "Ahh..." Izuka gave a nervous sound at this; she had no idea how it got there and if it was there the whole time. Or maybe someone knew Katsuki would come out eventually, but that was a stretch—possibly. Though if she had to pick a culprit, it would be between Mina or Minoru, and the latter option was terrifying to think about.
Katsuki gulped and then sneered a bit to hide it. "Mistletoe? Seriously? Who the hell put that there?"
"...You know, w-we don't have to...kiss if you don't want to," She put her things down and rubbed her arm awkwardly. Thinking of their first kiss after the School Festival and the one during the joint training, they had already passed it off as not a big deal. So it would probably be the same thing here too...hence why she was giving him the choice this time. Just because things had changed a lot between them didn't mean it was suddenly okay to kiss him.
"I-I mean, it's not...like I want to," He rubbed the back of his neck, coughing and looking away.
"But technically it's a tradition..." Izuka coughed as well, whistling awkwardly as there was now some tension in the air.
"Says who?" Katsuki deadpanned and then glanced away with his hands in his pockets. "I don't need to follow a damn tradition. Why the hell do you care if I kiss you? Are you trying to make a fool out of me or something?" He snarled and she stepped back in alarm, hoping she didn't make him mad by saying that.
"N-No, it's not like that at all!" She stammered in a bit of embarrassment. He flinched from this answer and scoffed angrily.
Why the hell do I need to kiss her again? After the first and second time, we haven't done it since because it wasn't supposed to mean anything. And it still doesn't. I'm so sick of all the love talk lately that it's starting to piss me off.
"Whatever. I'm out of here," He then turned around to walk off. She gave a look of disbelief.
"Fine! Go ahead and be a coward over a small thing! It's not my fault that you're scared of doing something you had no problem writing off before! The Katsuki I know isn't afraid of anything!" Izuka grunted in annoyance and he froze, looking up. He gritted his teeth as he felt like his pride was being challenged.
She wants a kiss? Then she'll get a damn kiss.
Her eyes widened in alarm as he came storming back to her, a fierce look on his face. Uh-oh, I think I just shortened my life-span. No time to teleport and I can't launch an attack without affecting the building! What do I do?!
Katsuki reached out to wrap an arm around her waist. "Hey, what-" He pulled her in close to hug her and bent his head down, capturing his lips with hers. Izuka let out a sound of surprise at him taking the initiative, clutching at his shoulders. She blushed as the warm feeling of his lips was something she couldn't pull away from. So she then hummed while leaning her head up as much as she could to kiss him back. Katsuki felt this nudge and hugged her closer, unable to pull away because of how soft she tasted. Both of them didn't want to stop, it just felt...addicting and unfamiliar, but in a good way. As he held her gently, he tilted his head a bit to taste even more of her and she held him as if he would break.
Katsu...he's so gentle to me. I don't...I don't want this to end.
Izuka...so damn sweet and soft.
He wanted more of her, so much. He parted his lips to ask for permission and she gave it. She let out a light gasp as his tongue danced with hers a bit roughly. The girl tried to keep up with him, but lost, causing him to chuckle. But he didn't mind that at all as the two kept kissing. It just meant that he won. He then moved a hand up her back, using it to grip her hair gently, and she reacted to this by letting out a soft moan. Eventually Izuka pulled away because they both needed to breathe, light breaths escaping her as they were still holding each other close. Both of their faces were red and a string of saliva was between their lips. As she was catching her breath, she stared at him straight in the eyes and he did the same, his eyes half closed. It felt like they were the only ones around...
"Oooh!" Mina exclaimed and their eyes widened as they remembered where they were. They whipped around to see that all of their classmates were standing there. "What the heck was that kiss all about?" She asked teasingly as half the class gave them knowing smiles. Izuku, Momo, and Ochaco were especially happy as their eyes were shining.
"Uhh..." Izuka looked at them wide-eyed, letting go of Katsuki and giving a nervous laugh. "It was uhh...just tradition, duh!"
"Y-Yeah, what she said!" Katsuki stammered in agreement and then growled. "Wait, you were watching the whole damn time?!"
"Really?" Denki gave a small smirk. "That looked like a lot more than 'uhh, just tradition'," He repeated back what she said.
Katsuki growled, his hand sparking while glaring at him. "It was for the damn mistletoe, and if you don't shut up, I'll kill you!"
"No need for that," Eijiro laughed nervously while standing between the two.
"Yeah, just for the mistletoe," Izuka waved off with an awkward chuckle, looking back towards him finally. "Uhh...good-good job," She patted his back briefly. "That was...not terrible," She brushed down her hair with one hand.
"And you weren't half bad either...I'm out of here," Katsuki then ran down the hall, everyone staring at him.
"See ya!" Izuka followed his plan and ran out right into the snow. Once it touched her body, she let out a yelp and came running back. She slipped past everyone and they glanced at her. "Cold, cold, cold!" She cried out while heading for the elevator.
"They sure weren't just doing it because of mistletoe," Hanta smiled teasingly, a hand on his hip.
"That was beautiful!" Izuku cried out while still crying. "Are Kacchan and my sister in love? On the outside, they don't seem like they'd work out. But deep down, they really compliment each other. And sure, they bring out not great sides of one another, but then he manages to encourage her to fight hard. And she brings out another side of him…"
There he goes again… Most of the other classmates thought as they watched him mumble.
