Story Start!

School wasn't that bad.

Compared to the nightmare that was the shinobi training academy, where he had no friends, he was surrounded by okay teachers, people who liked him well enough, and classes that allowed him to sleep most of the class as long as he kept his marks high. He helped Mizore study in the afternoon, she was kind of a dum-dum so she didn't get the best of grades, but she was doing well enough that she was passing her classes with average marks.

Every once and awhile somebody wanted to fight him.

It did not end well for the people who wished to do that.

'I thought I would hate school, but the food is okay, the people are decent, and this studying is making me stronger little by little.' Naruto feigned sleep in the middle of class. He didn't spend all night training like usual, since every once and awhile he felt like he needed to take a break from training so that his body could recover from it. Still, he had a reputation for sleeping during class, so it would be weird of him to not at least appear to be sleeping.

He wasn't listening much, but he wasn't sleeping.

"In the human world, clubs are a social activity that allow humans to bond with each other over a shared interest. While it isn't a strict requirement, it is heavily encouraged for all students to join a club. You will be giving the rest of the day off of classes to find a club that suits you."

'A club... ninja academy didn't have any of those.' Naruto opened an eye and looked at the teacher, before he wondered what kind of club he would be able to find that fit him.

-Later-

Nothing that interesting.

'Creepy...' Naruto looked at the spirit photography club, just like the science club and the magic club, the people running the club gave off creepy rape vibes as they approached both him and Mizore to get them to join the club. All Mizore needed to do was to see Naruto's face to know he wasn't interested in this club either.

"How about the martial arts club?"

"I mean... that sounds boring, just picking on people weaker than me doesn't really... you know... appeal to me." Naruto denied her suggestion. The simple fact was that he didn't wantr to join any super physical club, because of the simple fact that he was strong. Unlike monsters who were weakened in their human form, he was human, and thus always at his strongest in his human form. Clubs needed to be done in human form whenever possible because of school rules, and thus Naruto wouldn't have any fair competition. 'Oh... she's pretty.' Naruto thought when he saw pink.

Pink hair, green eyes, and a pretty nice body, a very beautiful face on her. He was pretty sure she was from the same class as Mizore, but other than that, he passed by the pink haired beauty without saying anything to her, or the guy that she was walking with.

Mizore pinched his cheek.

"Don't stare."

"I wasn't, I just wasn't expecting to see pink hair." Naruto hadn't seen a girl with pink hair in a long time, so seeing it had slightly caught him off guard, and thus caught his eye. Mizore looked where he had been looking, and she saw said girl.

"Moka, same class as me... she's is that weak guy's girlfriend." Mizore stated as she pointed to the guy who was with her, and with that said, the conversation was over on this subject. "My homeroom teacher wanted me to join the Newspaper club..." Mizore mentioned.

"Sounds boring." Naruto deadpanned.

-Later-

Yet, pretty much everything was boring.

"Please stay, your form is incredible!"

"No thanks, I'm good on joining this club." Naruto got out of the pool for the swimming club. After he beat all of the swimming club members in a race, he figured that he had nothing that he could really gain from joining this club. Not a single one of them could outswim him. Mizore got out of the pool after him. 'She looks good in that swimsuit.' Naruto noted in his head, before he went towards the locker room.

Naruto raised an eyebrow when he saw the same head of pink hair sitting on the side of the pool, and he made eye contact with her for only a moment as he passed her. She made sure to avoid the water droplets dripping off of him. Once he passed her, she went right back to staring at the boy she was with in the pool, getting swimming tips from the club president.

"You know, it would be better if you swam?" Mizore pointed out to Moka.

"I can't..."

"Ah..." Naruto muttered when he realized what she was. With the cross on her chest, and the fangs in her mouth, she must be a vampire who was sealing off their power. Mizore joined him, and they separated into the different changing rooms. 'A Vampire chick... might be fun to pick a fight with her. I heard Vampires were super strong.' Naruto got changed into his uniform, and left the changing room.

He had to wait for Mizore to finish.

Moka left first though, and she was running off with tears in her eyes, and electricity over her body. Naruto didn't chase her though, since there was water on her leg and uniform. There was nothing that he could do to help a vampire who was dumb enough to go near water.

'Not my problem... that is my problem though.' Naruto sensed Killing Intent, and it was directed at him. Mizore was still changing into her usual clothes, and he could sense the killing intent directed at him coming from the forest outside of the school grounds. He was used to killing intent from some of the bastards at the school who hated him, but this was different. It was focused, cold, and it was serious. "Hehe." Naruto started to walk towards the forest to meet up with this mysterious killer.

He jumped and covered half of the distance between himself and the forest with one step, before he jumped around and found himself in a clearing.

Nobody was around him.

The Killing intent was gone, and the wielder of it had erased their presence from his senses. It was actually impressive. This must be the assassin that his teacher had told him would be coming for his life as a test to his growth.

"Heh... yeah..." Naruto created a Rasengan and slammed it into the ground. He turned the ground underneath him into a large crater with his attack, and he revealed the assassin in the ground. She was unharmed by his attack, but she had been hiding underground. She jumped back out of the crater, and Naruto noticed that her body didn't seem to have any weight to it until AFTER she landed outside of the crater, and then suddenly her body gained weight to it. There was no tap or sound to her feet touching the ground.

She narrowed her eyes at him, and flattened her hand to make it dagger shaped.

There was a long pause.

Both of them crossed the distance between them in a moment, both of them on the pure offensive. Naruto formed a Rasengan, and she swung her arm at him. Not a word was spoken between them.

"Guh!?"

Naruto kicked his assassin in the stomach as soon as her hand started to cut through his Rasengan, and it got closer to his hand. Instead of exploding, her hand sliced through his chakra as if it was a knife through flesh. She had not been expecting him to kick her, but he couldn't put all of his strength into his kick from the bad position he was in. He still knocked her back though, and she landed on a tree branch, with blood leaking from her mouth.

She looked at her blood after she wiped it with the back of her hand.

Naruto landed on the opposite side of the crater, having created a good distance between himself and her. His kick had done some damage, but nothing more than some minor internal organ damage. For a Vampire, a wound that light wouldn't stop them. They were a durable bunch he had heard, and possessed regenerative power of their own.

'How did she cut through the Rasengan though?' Naruto wondered as he kept an eye on his opponent.

She was a shorter, petite woman with black hair, and vampiric pink eyes, with extremely pale skin. She had a killer's gaze as she looked at him, so she was a very experienced assassin. The technique that she used on her hand to make it cut through the Rasengan was different, it wasn't like wind chakra he used to cut through stuff.

Naruto created another Rasengan.

"Won't figure it out waiting around doing nothing. Round 2." Naruto watched as the girl put her hand in the same position as before.

Both fighters vanished in the blink of an eye, and they got inches away from each other.

Time slowed down.

His Rasengan was inches away from her face, and her hand was inches away from his neck. In that moment, Naruto looked at her hand, and with how fast she was going, he should of heard the sound of her hand slicing through the air. He didn't hear that sound at all though, and it was almost as if her hand didn't even actually exist at all. Just as he looked at her hand, she looked at his Rasengan and then looked at her own hand.

His technique connected first.

Well, it would have connected if his attack didn't phase through her body, and if he himself didn't phase though her. Naruto's attack slammed into a tree, and there was an explosion of chakra that erased the tree trunk he hit. His assassin's hand hit a tree, and instead of slicing through it, she chopped it with a physical hit. She still cut it down, but instead of a hot knife and butter, it was more like she brute forced her way into hitting the tree.

He phased through her.

'I didn't feel her at all... and when I phased through her, her attack didn't touch me. So whatever technique she uses to phase through for defense, she can't use it offensively at the same time.' Naruto didn't know how she did it, but he was starting to figure it out.

In the distance, there was an explosive amount of youki unleashed.

Both of them stopped fighting to look in the direction of the power, and his assassin smiled for a brief moment, before she turned back to Naruto to face him. Her knife hand was at the ready. She knew that a battle between them would come down to who landed the final blow first. Just the short exchanges they had so far had not ended in a clear winner between them.

'So... if I'm about to win, she will activate her phasing ability, and she will cut through me with her attack if she wins... She can't attack when she's defending, and she can't defend when she is attacking.' Naruto created a Rasengan. The fact she waited to attack implied that there was some kind of delay between when she could go back to attacking after defending as well.

A kunai slipped out of his sleeve and into his free hand.

'When she swings her hand, there is no air resistance at all. I'm faster than her, but her attack speed is really high.' Naruto flung the kunai.

Then, moving faster than the kunai, Naruto vanished and so did his opponent. The two of them met closer to her than the center between them, and she was swinging her arm at a distance further away this time. He saw the air getting slice through off of her hand at this moment though, and a blade of nothing formed in the air, heading right towards him. He dodged to the side, and she smirked towards him, before she had to swing her arm up to defend herself from the kunai he had thrown before attacking.

"Boom." Naruto stated as her attack scarred the ground he had dodged from.

When she cut through the kunai, and explosive note on the handle fizzled, before exploding and consuming her body in the firey explosion. Naruto slammed his Rasengan into the explosion, with the flames licking at his fingers. She came out of the explosion unharmed, with his Rasengan phasing through her face.

She was surprised.

When she saw how his attack was phasing through her, and that if she had dropped her defensive technique at the wrong moment, her head would have been destroyed by his attack. She jumped back, but her pressed her, following her, and he swung his Rasengan at her again. It continued to phase through her, but she kept trying to make distance between them. He created a Rasengan in his free hand, and he swapped between trying to hit her with his left and right Rasengans.

In the end, she escaped by phasing through the ground.

She came out of the ground a distance away from him.

'So... there is a time limit to her defensive power... the longer I attacked, the more worried she became.' Naruto had seen her get worried at that last second. His attacks had all phased through her, so her phasing ability could be used for some time.

"You're stronger than I thought."

"So she does speak." Naruto was holding both Rasengan, and she wasn't about to attack him until her defensive power recovered. He wasn't about to attack her until she approached him though. Her tone held both respect and disrespect in it. She hadn't expected him to be strong, but she respected his strength.

Her hand was once more a knife.

She smiled for a moment.

"I should have charged the old pervert a lot more to kill you." She spoke, and the vein on her head bulging showed that she was very upset about being unpaid for what she was being asked to do. This was a lot more effort for an assassination than she was expecting. "Your kick had some impact to it... what school of martial arts do you train in?"

"I train in the art of kicking ass, as in, when somebody fights me, I kick their ass."

"I see... sad, your movements are rather simple, but beautiful. You don't waste any effort when you attack. You've gone for the kill, and would have killed me if you knew how my ability worked." She complimented him and lowered herself. Her killing intent increased ten fold what it was before. She was getting herself ready to end the fight with her next attack. "Be proud, you are stronger than I am... but there is more to winning fights than being strong. Consider this your first and last lesson on the subject."

"Thanks for the lesson." Naruto got ready as well.

Both of them smirked.

Naruto slammed his Rasengan into the ground, and there was an explosion of dirt that hid him from view. His opponent started to run towards the dirt cloud, and Naruto came out of the dirt with a Rasengan in hand at the last moment. She saw his Rasengan was bigger than it was before, much bigger, so she used both of her hands. His attack was large, and so bright that it obscured her vision. Her eyes narrowed from the sheer intensity of the light his energy gave off.

Still, the size of his attack just made it a bigger target.

She swung both of her arms and formed an X, cutting through his attack with ease, and her swung her hand upwards, cutting through his neck. She smirked proudly when she removed his head from his body.

*Poof*

"Rasengan!"

She felt horrible pain when Naruto appeared above her, with a Rasengan connecting to her back. Blood escaped from her mouth as her insides were ravished by the wildly rotating energy that entered her organs. Then she felt the impact force that send her flying and spinning towards the forest. The severed head and body had vanished in an instant, but that instant had been enough for her to wonder what had happened.

She activated her defensive technique, but the damage that she had already suffered in an instant didn't get undone. She just prevented herself from being killed, even if she was still sent flying by the initial hit. She landed on the ground, and the sphere that hit her was still flying through the forest and tearing up the ground.

She glared at him.

"How?"

"Still alive... wow, guess Vampires are a really durable breed after all. Actually..." Naruto looked at her back, and saw that her thin body was torn up. She had a spiral shaped indent in her back where his attack landed, and was bleeding heavily on the ground. The bleeding was quickly slowing down, but the wound was healing slower than it normally would for a vampire he guessed. "... you only got hit by the initial impact, you didn't get hit by the other half..."

"How did you... the dust cloud... the Rasengan... the light!"

Naruto grinned.

"You created a clone in the dust cloud, and then the clone blinded me for a second with the bright light from it's attack... and the second I was blinded, you jumped out of the dust cloud and got above me. You waited to form your Rasengan until the very last second when I was distracted by thinking I won." She explained for him. She quickly put together just how she had been defeated. His use of the larger Rasengan had been a plow to blind her for just enough time that he could make a surprise attack with his real body.

"You were right, the stronger fighter doesn't always win... but I wasn't just the stronger fighter... I was the more unpredictable fighter." Naruto grinned down at her. "By the way, it was my Master who hired you to attack me, purely to test how I've grown in my training. So, since you failed, you don't have to try again, he isn't going to pay you." Naruto deadpanned with a nod.

She was stunned for a moment.

"You've got a horrible Master." She stood up after she recovered just enough to be able to stand on her own power.

"Just the worst." Naruto grinned as he complained as well.

"Still, I've gotten stronger from this experience. When we fought, I felt as though I could see into your heart for a moment..."

"A friend of mine once said that when high level opponents fight, they can read each other's hearts without the need for words... still... name is Uzumaki Naruto, it was a fun fight, lets do it again sometime." Naruto offered a hand to her. Now that she was standing again, and was making no move to attack him, he was pretty sure that the fight was over.

If he felt her killing intent, the fight would be back on, but with her injuries there was no way that she could offer him the same fighting opponent he had before. She was still bleeding, and she had a chunk of flesh removed from her back.

Also... he had seen into her heart as well.

She took his hand.

"Shuzen Akua. I'll take you up on your offer." Akua let go of his hand after shaking it for only a brief moment. "I would visit my sister, but I would rather her not see me in this condition. Still, I'm not the only assassin your idiot pervert of a master hired after you. There are plenty of others who will come for your life, including one of my other sisters. She won't be as easy for you to defeat as me. Kahlua a real monster." Akua stated with a evil smirk.

Naruto stuck his finger in her wound.

"AH!?"

"You don't get to be all smirky and braggy as the loser. Monster, human, vampire, none of that matters to me, I'll defeat all of you, because I have something too important to me to let myself be killed." Naruto reminded her of his victory over her with a painful poke of her wound. She turned her head to look at him with teary eyes.

Then his words registered to her.

"I see... and what is this important thing?"

"I've got a home I love, that I want to return to. As long as my heart beats with love, then I'll stand up as many times as it takes, so I can go to the place that loves me." Naruto proclaimed as he gestured to his heart.

She glanced away.

She vanished as she ran from their small battlefield.

-With Mizore-

'Naruto sure it taking a long time in the changing room.' Mizore had avoided getting involved with any of the drama that happened in the swimming pool, what with Moka revealing her vampire powers. She just waited for Naruto to leave the changing room.

She saw Naruto walking out of the forest.

"Sorry, had to pee, and peeing in the woods is super relaxing." Naruto approached her with a grin.

"Is it?"

"Oh, peeing while surrounded by nature is super relaxing." Naruto answered her question with a grin.

That was the truth.
