Winry was slowly starting to wake up as the sun rose on another day. She slowly opened her eyes to see her 7 year old son smiling at her and sitting on the bed next to her.
"Good morning Mama," Kenshi said with a smile.
"Hmmm?" Winry asked, as she started to wake up. "Morning Kenshi. Why are you up so early?"
"To say hi to my favorite woman in the world," Kenshi said giving her a hug
Winry yawned.
"Thanks, Kenshi! Would you like some breakfast?" She asked.
"I actually made some for all of us," Kenshi said, "Mr. Sai had to leave for a meeting."
"Oh! Well that's great, Kenshi! I'll be there in a minute." Winry said getting out of her bed.
Later on the two had breakfast. Kenshi made waffles, bacon, and fried apples, a personal favorite of Winry's. She was surprised that her son made all of this.
"Well, aren't you just Masterchef Jr! Gordan Ramsey would be proud of you!" Winry told him.
Kenshi smiled.
"Well I did learn from those cooking games"
"Well, it's a good thing you don't see how he is with adults... he's not as nice with them." Winry said.
Kenshi turned to his mom with a smile.
"Hmm?" Winry asked.
Kenshi smiled and said, "I love you."
"I love you too, Kenshi. Now, let's eat!" Winry said.
Later on the two of them started getting changed and dressed for the day. Kenshi got dressed in a bubble t-shirt with overalls. Since it was an off day for Winry, she decided to dress a bit casual, wearing a purple tank top, with a white open shirt, and loose jeans.
"Isn't that one of Mr. Sai's shirts?" Kenshi asked as he looked at the shirt.
Winry then looked embarrassed.
"Uh... no?"
Kenshi looked at him with a smirk.
"Yes," Winry said, "But it's our little secret, ok?"
"Ok Mama," Kenshi said.
"So what do you wanna do today?" Winry asked.
"Can we train?" Kenshi asked.
"That sounds fun," Winry said, "What style do you wanna go for this time?"
"Can we train?" Kenshi asked.
"That sounds fun," Winry said, "What style do you wanna go for this time?"
"Hmm... How about Tekken style," Kenshi suggested.
"That sounds fun," Winry said.
Later on the two of them were in a room facing each other. They were having a friendly spar.
"Remember Kenshi, you shouldn't focus on what happens after the fight, but rather, you should focus on the moment, what is happening right now," Winry said with a smile, "Don't lose focus otherwise you can't defeat your opponent."
Kenshi then came at Winry with a few punches and kicks. Winry blocked each attack that was coming.
"The best way to defeat your opponent is to be unpredictable with movements," Winry said, "For instance."
She went in for a heavy punch. Kenshi evaded the incoming attack just in time by jumping to the left. He was surprised by this.
"Whoa Mama, how did you do that? I thought you were more of a speed type in combat."
"Yes, but I focused on a strong attack to throw you off balance," Winry explained, "Sometimes people focus too much on their specialities and they start to become predictable to the opponent. But if you mix things up every now and then, you can throw them off guard. Try to remember this when you fight a villain."
"Ok Mama," Kenshi said, "Let's go again!"
"Right," Winry said.
Later on the two of them were watching superhero movies on the TV.
Kenshi suddenly had an idea.
"Mama, wanna play Superheroes?"
"Sure!" Winry said with a smile.
Later on the two of them were dressing up. Winry was dressing up as her alter-ego, Super Cop. She buttoned up the shirt and had on a vest. She was struggling a bit to do the tie. Kenshi went up to her.
"Here Mama, this is how you do it," Kenshi said as he fixed Winry's tie, "There. All done."
"Well aren't you just Mommy's little helper," Winry said as she pinched Kenshi's cheeks
Kenshi giggled as she did that.
"Mama that tickles."
Later on Kenshi jumped out in a homemade hero costume.
"Captain Arcadia is ready for action!" Kenshi said.
"And Super Cop!"
The two of them were pretending to catch bad guys and protect the civillians. In Kenshi's imagination, they were in a lost kingdom.
"Well that takes care of that," Winry said, "Looks like the day is sav-"
Before she could finish her sentence, she felt herself being tangled up by strange tentacles. She was pulled close to what looked like a monster.
"Mwahahahaha," the monster said, "I have you now Super Cop, and you will now be my servant!"
It started to pull Winry away into a dark cavern. Winry tried struggling and moving to get free, but her attempts were futile. She dropped her toy pistol on the ground. The monster was far too strong for her to escape from!
"Oh no!" Winry playfully said, "Help me Captain Arcadia!"
The tentacles started pulling her into the darkness with Kenshi following suit.
"Hang on Mama I'll save you!" Kenshi said
Acting quickly, he grabbed Winry's toy pistol and aimed it at the tentacles that were holding Winry. First he aimed for the ones holding her arms, then her legs, then the one holding her by the waist. They all disappeared, via Winry's quirk. The monster came back up, prepared for a battle.
"Mama, you go left, I go right!" Kenshi said.
"Right!" Winry said.
Kenshi grabbed his laser sword and started cutting down tentacles that gave out any attack formation. Winry was firing her pistol at any tentacles that came at her. A few more tentacles came at her. Kenshi sliced and diced them before they could harm her. Winry noticed a weakspot on the monster.
"Kenshi, deflect one of my bullets with your sword and aim it at that spot!"
"Ok!" Kenshi said.
Winry fired a homing shot, and Kenshi deflected it and it went flying at the weak spot. The monster had been vanquished. The underground cavern was starting to tumble.
Acting quickly, Kenshi then fired a hookshot (Via his imagination), held Winry by the waist as tight as his 7 year old arms could, and they were lifted up to the top once more.
"You're safe now Mama," Kenshi said as he smiled at Winry.
Winry gave Kenshi a hug and prepped his forehead with kisses.
"Wow, thank you Captain Arcadia!" Winry said with a smile.
"Are you ok?" Kenshi asked.
"I'm ok, but I'm a bit freaked out by that evil monster that tried to take me," Winry said.
"Its ok now Mama, you're safe," Kenshi said, "Would it make you feel better if we watched more movies together while we hold each other?"
"Nothing would make me happier," Winry said as she hugged her son and then picked him up.
"Mama, I love you," Kenshi said as he hugged back.
"I love you too Kenshi," Winry told him with a smile.
