"—and so, she decided to switch sides and stick with us, at least until we reach Alabasta!" beamed Brynlee, clasping her hands together. "Isn't that great?"
"… you somehow managed to convince Baroque Works' Chief-of-Staff to switch camps?" deadpanned Zoro, unconvinced.
"I mean, more or less? It's not like she was planning on staying with those guys, anyway. Now that the plan's coming to fruition, she's already started setting up fail safes of her own – namely Vivi finding out about Mister 0's true identity or trying to give us an Eternal Pose to get us more quickly to Alabasta."
The Princess scowled, obviously distrusting of their newest addition, and Robin offered the whole crew a very bland, very fake smile.
"Make no mistake. Should I determine your crew incapable of keeping your end of the bargain, I will kill all of you without hesitation," she stated plainly.
"What- what a scary thing to say!" protested Usopp. "Bryn, we can't possibly let that woman stay after saying something like that!"
"The only way for us to fail her expectations is if Luffy can't beat Crocodile, so I wouldn't worry about it," shrugged Brynlee, unperturbed.
"Shi-shi-shi, Bryn's right! Beating that guy solves everyone's problems, so I'll definitely kick his ass!" beamed Luffy.
"No way! Nami, say something!"
Nami simply shrugged, too. "Brynlee revealed that secret without a second thought. I trust that she wouldn't potentially jeopardize the safety of our crew on such a scale if she didn't implicitly trust Robin."
"Still, we need proof," cut in Zoro with a challenging tone.
"That is a fair request. Then, as a show of good faith, I'll offer you information regarding the various dangers to be found on Little Garden, and how best to deal with them," agreed Robin without missing a beat.
"Let's discuss it over dinner," suggested Sanji. "I'll prepare refreshments right away!"
"Ooh, I'll have a lemonade," beamed Nami, following him to the kitchen.
"Ugh, fine. But I'm keeping an eye on you," warned Zoro, giving in.
"Wait, wait, wait! You're all okay with this? Seriously!?" snapped Usopp.
"She's Brynlee's friend, so of course it'll be fine," shrugged Luffy before following after his cook. "Sanji, I want meat!"
Vivi simply scoffed before heading back inside, obviously in no mood to even try and pretend she liked either of the women left out on the deck. Brynlee pouted a bit as the Princess disappeared from sight – she really could forget any kind of potential friendship with her, after the stunt she'd just pulled.
Usopp let out a defeated groan, and Zoro simply patted his back before the two of them headed to the galley as well to get their share of drinks.
"That went… unexpectedly well," mused Robin.
"Told ya you'd get along!" grinned Brynlee. "Just don't tell them about how much time it takes for a Log Pose to set once there. There's no point in stressing them out over something so inconsequential."
"A year of waiting it hardly inconsequential," deadpanned Robin.
"It is when I already have an Eternal Pose for Alabasta!"
The older woman paused, genuinely taken aback. "How could you… No, nevermind. Tell me, then: why, exactly, are we headed for Little Garden?"
Brynlee shrugged. "Because Luffy wants to go, obviously. He'll be even more excited once you tell him about the Giants who live there, too!"
"… you really know too much."
"Part of my charms, it'll grow on you! Now come on, Sanji's food really is the best, and there won't be any left if Luffy gets to it first."
