Chapter 5 Eventful Day

Sakura's life became increasingly eventful in the days that followed. After the first dancing practice, they decided to dine at their favorite traditional restaurant. The dinner was enjoyable, and they both had a good time. The dinner was enjoyable, with Sakura dominating the conversation and Neji chiming in with his thoughtful insights.

One afternoon, after finishing her shift, Sakura rushed to meet Hinata for their date. She arrived at Yamanaka Florist ten minutes late, noticing the charming shop had been recently renovated with a modern touch. Earlier that day, Ino had informed Hinata that the white mountain lilies for her wedding ceremony had arrived. As Sakura entered, the delightful scent of blooming flowers greeted her. Hinata and Ino were already there, discussing final details for the wedding decorations.

As they exited the flower shop, Ino couldn't resist a taunting smile at Sakura, fully aware of her upcoming double date. The pinkette shot her best friend a playful glare, silently daring her to make one more teasing comment.

Her stomach swirled with fluttering butterflies as she contemplated the notion of a double date.

The wedding preparations were going smoothly, much to the bride's delight. Later that day, it was time for the much-anticipated media wedding photoshoot scheduled for the Hokage couple, with their best man and maid of honor also set to join.

While the ladies were getting dolled up for the shoot. The Hokage himself and his best man, Neji, had to wrap up a crucial meeting with leaders from the Konoha Alliance. In a room filled with serious faces and high-stakes discussions, Naruto and Neji led the negotiations. Meanwhile, Shikamaru's strategic mind offered valuable insights while Lee's unwavering determination lifted everyone's spirits.

Hinata and Sakura were taken to the hair and makeup area, where the makeup artists enhanced their beauty. The crew provided a range of services to ensure everything was just right. After getting their flawless makeup and perfectly styled hair done, they made their way to the dressing room.

Sakura was looking at herself in the mirror and loving how beautiful she looked in the gown when she heard a raspy male voice, accompanied by another deep voice she knew well. She turned around and was greeted by Naruto and his best man, Neji.

After settling important matters with the leaders, Naruto and his buddy rushed to join the ladies for the photoshoot.

The instant he noticed Sakura in a delicate gray dress that complemented her skin tone, he couldn't hide his enthusiasm as he praised her for looking absolutely stunning. Neji chimed in with his calm demeanor, adding a touch of elegance to the moment.

The halter-neck design emphasized her collarbone and shoulders, with a plunging v-neckline offering a glimpse of cleavage, while the open back added an extra touch of elegance to the floor-length garment.

Neji couldn't take his eyes off the pinkette. Despite his limited experience with women, he had seen enough to judge their attractiveness. Her makeup only enhanced her already glowing natural beauty. Her bubblegum hair, styled in a chic bun complementing her face with some loose waves, gave her a perfectly elegant look that captivated him.

Sakura felt his eyes on her, intense enough to make her knees go weak and her cheeks flush with a rosy hue.

Naruto's jaw dropped as he caught sight of Hinata emerging from the dressing room. Dressed in a stunning wedding gown, she looked like a true queen. Her amethyst locks arranged expertly in a chignon.

Her makeup enhanced her beauty to an ethereal level. He couldn't believe how lucky he was to have her as his bride. His heart swelled with love and admiration.

With each step, her gown billowed elegantly as she walked up the pedestal, her flowing veil trailing behind her for miles. The craftsmanship and adornments of the gown were truly remarkable.

Cerulean eyes locked onto his beloved. Her fascinating neckline drew him to her enormous bosom! It accommodated her upper body so... perfectly. The view left Naruto feeling elated and completely captivated. Her massive size always allowed him to lose himself in pure ecstasy!

The bridal assistants couldn't help but smile at the adorable expression on the Hokage's face.

Hinata noticed her fiancé's eyes shamelessly tracing her curves. Blushing furiously, she said, "Naruto-kun, Naruto, if you don't stop staring, I might just have to reconsider saying 'I do'."

"Okay, okay, sorry, my love. But you do look amazing in everything you try on. You're the only one I want to gaze at for the rest of my life."

"Flattery will get you nowhere if you keep making embarrassing comments like that!"

Her petite stature was no match for his towering presence, especially when she tried to speak. Before any words could escape her lips, Naruto lifted her chin and pulled her into a sweet, lingering kiss. Her hand instinctively landed on his chest, and a happy squeal slipped past her lips.

"Naruto! You're embarrassing me! Behave yourself, we're in a bridal shop." She yelled. Her cheeks turned pink as a pleasant feeling spread through her.

"Alright, alright I'm going to try to hold back. But I can't make any promises," he smirked.

A pair of piercing white eyes locked onto the couple. The man's gaze was piercing, with a furrowed brow that spoke volumes without uttering a word as he cast a scrutinizing look in their direction.

"Show some restraint. Save the admiration on your wedding day, please."

Sakura found his expression amusing.

Neji was tagged along for the photoshoot today, he never expected to be a part of. It wasn't his thing, it wasn't his scene, but Hinata had asked him to join her for this special shoot. He hesitated at first, but seeing her excitement, he couldn't refuse.

"Heh, come on, Neji! You better get used to it because you'll be seeing a lot more of it on our big day!" Naruto chuckled.

When Neji was chaperoning their early dates, he was like the silent shadow, watching them from the corner dutifully accompanying them.

"But we've got to maintain a little decorum. Just remember to keep it PG-rated, okay?"

"I thought this story was rated M-"

"That's my scene."

The guys were too busy bickering about public decency rules. Hinata couldn't help but urge the two handsome men to gear up for the photoshoot. Naruto and Neji finally put their argument aside to get themselves ready.

The best man, none other than Hyuuga Neji, commanded attention at the boutique. The staff gravitated towards him, eager to assist. They focused on every detail, ensuring his coat was impeccable and his bow tie was perfectly straight. The elegant fabric seemed to come alive on his frame, accentuating his natural grace and adding an air of sophistication to his already striking presence.

Neji, never one to be swayed by attention or compliments, found himself in an unusual situation after his engagement was called off. Noble families and clan leaders were lining up their daughters for him, all seeking his affections, but he remained indifferent. Amidst all the flattering attention he was receiving, he couldn't ignore the intense gaze of a certain pinkette.

Sakura's gaze shifted towards Neji, her green eyes brimming with jealousy as she observed the sales assistants around him. She tried to play it cool, not wanting her feelings to be too obvious. Neji was impeccably dressed in a stylish grey suit, a crisp white dress shirt and a matching waistcoat. His charm and refined demeanor effortlessly captured the room's attention. Being so divine was practically a crime.

It was a rare sight to see a Hyuuga with such beautiful hair. The man effortlessly pulled off any hairstyle! Despite the stylist's suggestions, he opted for his classic look. The team made some subtle yet effective adjustments to enhance his style without making any drastic changes.

His long hair was a source of pride for Neji, as it had been part of his upbringing. In his younger days, his loyal retainer would skillfully style not only his cousin's but also that of his hair while they played together.

Sakura watched as Naruto and Neji, looking like handsome brothers in their suits, took their places as groom and best man. After getting fully dressed up, they rejoined Sakura and Hinata for the photo session.

They arrived at the beautiful garden where the shoot was taking place. Sunlight seeped through the trees, casting a warm glow on everything it touched.

As the Hokage couple stepped into the scene, the photographer directed them to strike various poses. The groom flashed his trademark grin, and his bride radiated her innate elegance. They shared a look of genuine affection that spoke volumes about their bond. Through it all, the camera kept clicking away and flashing.

Sakura admired the stunning couple. Her blood brother appeared dashing in his sleek tuxedo, paired with a crisp white shirt and a black bow tie. His clean shave accentuated his golden locks, adding to his aura of refinement and wisdom. Despite the responsibilities of being Hokage, he maintained a youthful spark that never dimmed. His infectious energy filled the room.

The desire to share her life with someone special burned brightly within her heart. She imagined a future where she would walk down the aisle of a small, intimate chapel nestled in a serene garden, surrounded by dear ones sharing their joy and love.

Sakura and Neji lounged in the garden, chatting away while waiting for their photo op with the newlyweds. Their easy banter was interrupted by a polite call from the crew, summoning them over to start the shoot.

Two gorgeous couples perfectly complementing each other. The photographer went the extra mile to capture their beauty in photos.

Sakura and Neji stood beside Naruto and Hinata, beaming with happiness. Neji, known for his serious nature, surprised everyone by flashing a warm smile. The photographers started off with wide shots, capturing the happy group, before moving in for some close-ups.

As the camera team observed, they couldn't help but notice the striking chemistry between the Anbu Captain and Lady Haruno. A photo of them together would be amazing.

They approach them, politely asking if they would be willing to pose for a photo together. Neji welcomed the idea. However, his white eyes glanced at Sakura, seeking her comfort and consent.

With his usual calmness, he and asked, "Are you nervous?"

With a light chuckle, Sakura replied, "Nervous? Please, Neji, I've faced much scarier challenges than posing for a picture with you," she quipped.

Neji chuckled softly at her remark, his stoic demeanor softening as he replied warmly, "I just wanted to make sure you were comfortable with the idea."

"Of course I am! We're the best man and maid of honor dream team, right?"

Something about the way Neji and Sakura locked eyes conveyed so much without saying anything, helping them reach an agreement.

Without any prompting from the photographer, Neji tentatively wrapped his arm around her waist. As they posed and smiled for the camera, the warmth of his hand on her waist and his subtle lean towards her made Sakura's heart skip a beat.

At first, Sakura felt a bit anxious about the attention they were getting from flashing lights and curious onlookers. However, with Neji's reassuringly close presence oddly comforting her, he maintained a considerate distance to make sure she was comfortable with their intimacy until the photographer suggested moving in closer for a more intimate shot.

When Neji gazed into her eyes, Sakura mustered up the courage. She gave him a mischievous glint, signaling she was prepared for some enjoyment. To his surprise, she intertwined their fingers and drew him closer. It was something they did during their waltz, right? No big deal.

As they clicked away behind the lens, the boundaries they once respected were blurred into a beautiful dance of trust and affection.

As the sun set and cast a warm glow over the garden, the golden hour sunlight enveloped their silhouettes.

Neji tenderly kissed her pink locks, savoring the sweet scent that wafted from them. Meanwhile, Sakura leaned in with her radiant smile and sparkling eyes for a gentle kiss on his cheek, perfectly wrapping up the photo shoot with a few final shots.

Neji, an INTJ, was typically reserved and quiet with limited social connections. He often found it challenging to socialize, particularly with women. Surprisingly, he appeared to be at ease when posing with the pinkette. It became clear to him that he felt comfortable and intimate around Sakura.

They both knew how much Hinata loved being the silent observer.

Neji leaned in to Sakura and said, "I think we have a spy among us." Sakura chuckled and glanced over to see Hinata with her white eyes fixed on them.

The Hyuuga heiress was shocked to witness Sakura and her cousin sharing a tender kiss for the camera. It was unexpected to see the man being so romantic in public for the first time. She was happy that her idea of a double date had been successful.

The Hokage wedding loomed just three weeks away. Their dance rehearsals continued. Sakura found herself feeling more confident after getting a pair of heels from Hinata.

Neji complimented Sakura on her progress with the box step and suggested it was time she could add more moves to her repertoire. Despite his good intentions, Sakura found his encouragement was a bit too strong, making her feel stressed and pressured.

"Additional moves? I'm not sure if I can handle more complicated steps, Neji."

"Have you heard of 'Varsovienne Waltz'?"

"Hell no. I've been losing sleep over it ever since I got that invitation as Hinata's maid of honor."

"That will be our final dance we must do at the banquet. Sakura, it's okay to feel anxious. You're a natural; just trust yourself."

"I hope so. I just don't want to trip and fall flat on my face in front of everyone!"

"Even if you stumble, I'll be right there to catch you. We'll make it through this dance together."

His words wrapped around her like a warm embrace.

"Your path to becoming an elite kunoichi is undeniably impressive. You proved that lineage is not the only measure of worth. Remember your mastery over the complex medical jutsu? Dancing, too, is all about precision and coordination."

He needed Sakura to build up her confidence before they could dance as one.

"I appreciate your words, Neji."

In a Shinobi world where lineage determined status, she stood out from a modest family and rose through hard work to join the elite ranks; it was something Neji truly admired.

He explained each intricate move in a calm and unhurried manner, creating a positive atmosphere for their rehearsals. Despite a few missteps where she accidentally stepped on his foot, their interaction remained friendly and supportive.

"You're doing great, Sakura. Just remember to keep your steps light and fluid," he encouraged.

"Fine, I'm getting the hang of it now. It's not as easy as it looks."

"Let's give it another try."

An hour after their practices, Sakura starting to grasp the new steps, received occasional critiques from the discerning Hyuuga. Other than that, she enjoyed spending quality time alone with him and had no complaints.

"Are the moves I'm making right? You make it look so effortless."

"That's it! See how much smoother that is? You're getting there. Just take it one step at a time."

"Thanks, Neji. I needed that pep talk!"

The Hyuuga gracefully lifted her arm, and the pinkette spun elegantly in a perfect circle before he pulled her close.

"Neji, how long have you been learning ball dancing? I mean, with all your focus on Juken training, it's surprising to see you excel in something else."

"I've been learning since I was a Chunin. Chaperoning Hinata-sama at formal events is part of my clan duty."

"I hope my question didn't offend you or hurt your pride in any way."

"It's fine. You probably know that being born into the Hyuuga branch member comes with its own set of expectations and burdens. A fate we learn early on."

Sakura listened attentively in understanding. "I can imagine how much pressure that must be..."

"Yeah, it's not easy. But I believe it's what drives us to move forward when things get tough."

"How do you stay so composed all the time?"

The pinkette still has doubts, and Neji found enough patience to respond to each of her questions.

"Hmm… Perhaps finding inner peace in the chaos, where you can draw strength and clarity. Life throws us challenges, but how we handle them defines us. So, practice, patience, perspective, and belief, Sakura." Neji replied with a half-smile.

"Precisely." Sakura's smile widen as she looked at the Hyuuga with admiration.

And his words resonated deeply with her; his beautiful white eyes reflected years of inner strength and resilience.

"Thank you for sharing your wisdom with me, Neji. I'll keep these lessons close to my heart, not just for waltzing," she grinned mischievously, attempting to lighten the mood between them.

Neji smiled at her gratitude.

As time passed, her dance moves became more fluid and effortless, and the Hyuuga was astounded at how quickly she had learned.

As the music reached its peak, Neji, with his strong and elegant posture, smoothly guided Sakura into a graceful dip, marking the climax of their dance.

Cradling her back with ease and grace, Neji ensured a perfect and controlled descent. Sakura's body arched gracefully as she trusted him completely to keep her steady. With her hand around his nape and held onto his bicep, their faces were tantalizingly close. Her shoulder-length pink locks cascaded down, almost reaching the ground.

The dip was a moment of trust and harmony, showcasing the unbreakable bond between them. His intense gaze, though charming, also felt slightly annoying to Sakura due to his air of superiority.

"Neji, could you try not to look like you're judging my every move while we waltz?"

Neji retorted, "How else am I supposed to make sure you're not stepping on my toes?"

Sakura teased back, "Are we just going to stare deeply into each other's eyes the whole time? That sounds intense."

"Well, the purpose of a waltz is all about connection and chemistry. Can't have that without a bit of eye contact," Neji explained with a smirk.

"Well done. You've succeeded in both mesmerizing and slightly annoying me at the same time," she told him, determined not to give in to his charm.

"It has been known to have that effect on some. But I wouldn't want to overwhelm you with my mesmerizing gaze."

Sakura blushed at his unexpected response. "You've turned into quite the smooth talker! Are you sure it's not just your ego needing a boost?"

"Nothing has happened to my ego. It's your dancing skills that need some work."

Neji couldn't help but notice the way Sakura blushed beautifully at him, her usual sharp tongue seemingly at a loss for words. He had to force himself not to look at her lips for a moment. Deciding he had teased her enough, with a subtle smile, he lifted her up from their position.

"Alright. Shall we save the rest of our dance for another day? Time to wrap it up before you step on my toes again."

"Already tired of dancing with me, Neji? I thought you enjoyed my company!"

"Dancing with you is always a pleasure."
