drax, ash, misty, and brock were on their way to mt. moon. they had to pass through there to get to cerulean city. however they had to deal with three nuisances first.
"team rocket blast of at the speed of light!" said the pink haired teen. "surrender now or prepare to fight!" said the lavender haired teen. "meowth! dats right!" finished the cat pokemon. "did they do that last time?" drax asked ash. he hadnt veen present for the whole thing last time theyd met. "yeah." said ash. drax took a deep breath before speaking. "okay before we start this thing, i have some questions for the meowth." drax said. "fuh me?" asked the meowth. "yeah. how did you learn to speak human?" asked drax. "taught myself." said meowth. "impressive." drax said. "so does it increase your battle prowess or?" meowth looked insulted at that. "i dont battle! i sacrificed that side of me for brain power!" he said. "but wouldnt it be smarter to increase your strength and inteligence?" asked drax. meowth froze at that. "huh, dats a good point actually." drax then turned to the two teens. "and you two. why are you in team rocket. from what ive seen of you, you guys care about your pokemon. team rocket, from what i hear, treat their pokemon like shit." drax said. the two were silent for a minute before speaking. "we dont actuallt have anywhere else to go." said the lavender hair teen. "and we were fired from any other job we had." said the pink haired teen. "surely theres something you guys are good at?" said drax. "well, we do make some mean pastries." said the boy. "so why not d that?" asked drax. "never crossed our minds." said the girl. "you know what?" said the meowth. "da hooded guy is right! weve been treated like trash since da boss got dat persian! we should quit and do somethin we're actually good at!" the two teens nodded. "yeah, we could start a traveling street vending service." said the girl. the boy then winced. "we might want to get rid of the stuff we set up in mt. moon first though." he said. the group plus ex-team rocket members headed to the cave to take down and possibly destroy or sell their equipment.
before they reached the entrance. they saw a man being attacked by zubat. drax got read to launch gyroblast out but someone beat him to it. "zebstrika use wild charge!" a zebra pokemon dashed by the zubat while covered in electricity scaring them off. drax looked over at the newcomer.
"Hales told me you were in kanto, drax. i didnt expect to find you this quick." the newcomer said. drax smirked. shouldnt you be taking care of the gym back in unova, elesa?" he asked.
the now named elesa walked over to her friend. "i see youre still wearing the cloak i made you." she said. "of cour-" he was cut off as the man from before appeared in front of him. "thank you so much miss!" he said bowing to her. "i came here to research the clefairy and got attacked by those agitated zubat!" he was very loud and excitable.
"sorry, dats our fault." said meowth. "a talking meowth! how intriguing!" he said coming closer to meowth. "excuse my rudeness. i am seymor the scientist."
"i'm drax. you've already met my friend here." drax said gesturing to elesa. "hey, im elesa. i came here looking for this idiot since we never got to travel together when we were younger." elesa said. "i'm ash ketchum and this is pikachu." said ash. "yo." said pikachu. "he just talked!" said brock elesa and seymor all at once. "i gave him a serum that allowed him to speak human." said drax. "how are you just discovering this, brock?" brock stared at drax. "he's been silent up until now!" brock exclaimed gesturing to the mouse.
elesa grabbed drax by the front of the cloak and began shaking him. "why didnt you tell me you finished the serum?!" she shrieked. seymor just looked confused. "can you stop shaking me like a maraka so i can introduce you to my friends, woman!" shouted drax. this was followed by a random ralts falling from the sky and landing on drax's head. everyone looked up to see where it came from but saw nothing. "who keeps dropping pokemon on my head?!" shouted drax. "what's next, a girl gets dropped on ash?"
screaming could be heard as everyone looked up to see a girl falling from the sky... and right on ash. everyone just stared at the girl before drax looked up. "whats next? ash catches an eevee?" asked drax. ash who was still on the ground held up a pokeball. "i did that a while ago." he said. "when?!" everyone shouted. "about an hour ago." said pikachu. you were all preocupied with lunch wile ash was figiting with a pokeball. she just walked up and caught herself."
elesa turned to drax. "try something else." she said. "uh... shiny mew?" he asked a golden ring appeared next to him an a shiny mew was thrown through it and at his face. "hi." said the mew. "i was just made." drax held up an ultra ball and bopped the mew on the head with it. catching it. "we'll question that later." said drax. "anyway, elesa these are my friends... and musty." ignoring the indignant shout from misty he then gestured to the former team rocket trio. "... sorry what were your guys names again?" he asked.
the two straighted "jessie." said the pinked haired girl. "james." said the lavender haired boy. "right." said drax. "oi, what about da cat?!" said meowth. "arent you meowth?" asked elesa. "well, yeah. but dat doesnt make it any less rude to not intraduce me." he said. "that's fair." said drax. "anyway, we should probably check on the girl." everyone turned to see the honey haired girl pushing herself up.
she was still wearing her pajamas meaning she probably just got up. "thats one way to wake up in the morning." she said. she looked around at the other people before stopping at ash. "she narrowed her eyes at him as though trying to see something. "ash?" she asked. "uh, yeah?" he replied inteligently. "as in ash from professor oak's summer camp 4 years ago?" she asked again. ash blinked at the oddly specific question before his eyes widened. "serena!" he exclaimed. it had been a while since he saw her but he remembered that camp like it was yesterday. "it is you!" serena said before going to hug ash. she froze though when she realized she was sitting on him. she imediatly shot to her feet with a red face. then looked around at everyone, noticing the knowing smirk that both drax and elesa were giving her. drax walked over and helped ash up.
"so shall we go and take care of the equipment in the cave?" he asked. "hold on a second!" said the now named serena. "Am I in kanto? if so how did i get here?" she was panicking now. "probably from a big golden ring in the sky." said drax. "thats how i got here." said the ralts raising her hand. she was still on drax's head. "do i get a pokeball too?" she asked looking down at drax with a pleading look. "grinade." said drax. he held his hand under his backpack as a hole opened up and dropped a pokeball. he held it up to ralts who pressed her hand to the button. letting herself be caught. "how many ralts do you have now?" asked elesa. "one. the others have all evolved since then." said drax. "also how did we go from four to ten people in less then ten minutes?" seymor did a head count. "i only count nine." he said. "im including meowth." said drax. "oh, nevermind then." said seymor.
"we should probably get our new friend here some clothes." drax said gesturing to serena. "we can take the newbie back to pewter and buy her some." said jessie as she pulled misty into a one armed hug. "ill go with." said elesa. "no one knows fashion better then me." jessie raised an eyebrow at that but didnt say anything. "that works. james, meowth and i will take down the lights and other stuff." drax said. "brock can see if he can help any pokemon in the cave, and seymor can... do whatever seymors do." seymor and brock gave drax a thumbs up.
"what about me?" asked ash. "dont touch anything and dont piss of the cave pokemon." drax said. ash gained a downcast expression and started grumbling to himself. all the while drax was wondering what he just went through.
