"How're you feeling about school as it's starting soon. We'll help you out if you have trouble with the other kids. It's awesome your dad is letting me sleep over plus we're gonna have fun." Shocket heard Linda ask her. "Even though I know the school and the WWEB program's perfect, I'm nervous about the other kids." Shocket told her eating smores as Rocket had made a fire in the backyard which Linda and Shocket along with Groot were enjoying.
It was the last few days of Summer and Rocket knew that Shocket would be starting school soon and she was anxious about it secretly which she'd told Linda about which relieved the female duckling telling her she should tell her or Rocket how she was feeling, if something was bothering her seeing Rocket nodding in agreement knowing they'd be up late since Groot had introduced Shkocket to video games along with Casey introducing her to Sonic especially Shadow, and Groot had Shadow's game which Shocket loved playing which riled her up.
"These smores are great, thanks uncle Rockie." Linda told Rocket.
"You're welcome girls. I know you're having fun." Rocket told them. He was planning to hang out with Nebula while they were having their fun since Shocket was still getting used to Nebula which Linda got and proud that Shocket had tried talking to Nebula making Rocket nod in reply as he kissed Shocket's head before he left for the night seeing Groot nod as they were playing video games and laughing plus Linda heard Shocket ask, what being a hero was like.
"It's good and rewarding but can be stressful sometimes. Plus the Fantastic Four are nice and help me out and help me train." Linda told her as she got it.
"Geez, it's almost noon, and they're still sleeping. How late did they stay up." Groot heard Rocket ask.
"I am Groot, I am Groot." Groot said to him. It was the next morning and Rocket had been back from hanging out with Nebula sensing that Linda and Shocket had planned to stay up being kids but heard footsteps as both Linda and Shocket entered as they were sitting down at the table. "Groot Morning or afternoon you two as I had a feeling you both would stay up." Rocket told them. "Yeah we stayed up daddy. It's not a school night." Shocket told him smirking as Rocket agreed on this.
"Somebody's gonna have an early nap because she stayed up late with Linda." Groot heard Rocket whisper knowing he meant Shocket nodding as they were having fun until Linda's comm went off meaning she needed to go seeing Shocket hug her getting it seeibg her fly off making Rocket stroke her mohawk hearing her yawning guessing the nap was coming sooner than later as he carried her to her room tucking her in kissing her furry head before leaving her room knowing Shocket would sleep for a long while as he had things to do like get Shocket's school stuff telling Groot to stay and hold down the fort until he got back which Groot was fine with.
After Shocket woke up, she was having milk and cookies plus Groot had told her that her dad had went out making her get it hoping he'd be back soon making Groot understand hugging her. A bit later Rocket returned with the school stuff which Shocket would need including a backpack making Shocket impressed thanking him. "You're welcome sweetie and hope you had a good nap." Rocket told her making her nod.
"Plus Linda is probably busy with hero stuff." Shocket told him.
