Chapter 10: Ambush
"Remember Izuku, and Jesus said "I am the way and the truth and the life. No one comes to the Father except through m-$6 SRIMP SPECIAL!"
Howdy there, been a hot minute since I've updated so I decided I wanted to change that. In actuality I have a major protect due and it will take at least a week and a half to do, so I wanted to give you guys something while I'm gone in that time. And goddamn I think I gave quite a bit. I fully went into this story expecting chapters to be 5 to maybe 6k words, but this one got to 10k without me even realizing it. So I hope you guys enjoy it all, I had a blast writing the action pieces for this chapter.
Also, before we begin I want to celebrate the fact that we managed to get 500 kudos on AO3 and 500 follows on FF. We did it boys, we're making our way to the top. Thank you all for the support and every comment you leave, I love reading them all.
Oh and I'm aware the art link for the AO3 chapter is bugged, I'll do my best to fix it as soon as possible.
Hope you enjoy the chapter.
'Finally, lunch.' Izuku let out a sigh as the bell rang, ending Present Mic's lecture.
Like moths to the flame the rest of the class raced out the door without a moment's hesitation, at least most of them did. Izuku was among a handful of students that waited for the swarm that was the rest of Class 1-A. Izuku could see others like Todoroki, Koda, and Shoji had also decided to stay behind. For what reason the angel could only guess, though from the few observations he noticed that they weren't exactly the most social of the class. Something Izuku could understand before he gained his 'quirk'.
"Something the matter, Midoriya?" Tokoyami asked from his right as he and the greenette made their way out of the classroom. Unsurprisingly, the shadow had also stayed behind.
"It's nothing, just today has been a bit…unexpected." Izuku answered after a small pause.
That was the most applicable word he could think of at the moment regarding his newfound position as class representative. It wasn't a bad thing nor did Izuku see it that way, it was just something he didn't really expect. Leader and Izuku were never uttered in the same sentence unless there was a 'not a' in between. He honestly had half a mind to simply pass the position off to Momo or Tenya since they seemed like far better picks in his opinion.
Though that idea was quickly thrown away, a real hero would step up to the position even if they believed they were the wrong person for the job. Plus, if Izuku told Gabriel he gave away such a position because he was unsure of himself the elder angel's disappointment would probably be immeasurable. The thought alone was enough for Izuku to temper his self-doubt and simply accept the opportunity given to him.
Still, it was pretty weird being in front of class with so many eyes looking at him with reverence.
"I imagine so, class president is a prestigious position and you certainly looked taken aback." Tokoyami nodded in understanding.
"That's one way of putting it." Izuku huffed with a small laugh. "I was sure that it would be Yaoyorozu and Iida who would be chosen."
"Well, I know myself along with Mina and Aoyama voted for you." The shadow user revealed casually. "Even without your self-vote you would have won anyway."
"I didn't vote for myself…I voted for Iida." Izuku clarified with a puzzled look. Remembering how he earned four votes in total.
"Ah, I should have expected as much." Tokoyami replied, humming curiously. "I wonder who your mystery supporter is."
"Guess it doesn't matter now." The angel shrugged as the two strode into the bustling cafeteria. Like before the line moved exceptionally fast, allowing for the two teens to acquire their trays and meet up with their other friends in a matter of minutes.
"Ayyy there he is, Mr. President himself." Mina greeted energetically as both boys sat down.
"You aren't ever going to stop that, will you?" Izuku asked with a deep sigh. The pink skinned girl had been teasing him about his new status the moment it was announced.
"Nope!" The girl smiled unapologetically. "Hey–hey if you're the Prez does that make us your secret security guards?" She asked while giggling.
"Not even a day and I already loathe the position." The greenette muttered, pinching the brim of his nose.
"Better you than anyone else, mon ami." Aoyama attempted to soothe. "Besides, it's not like that much is expected of you. All you have to do is be very proactive, have the best grades, and be up to date on all school affairs." The blonde rested his grinning face on his hand as he finished.
"Really inspiring stuff there." Izuku deadpanned.
"Though not incorrect, a class president is held to a much higher standard." Tokoyami interjected after swallowing a mouth full of food. "Though considering your performance since the first day I'd say you are better suited than anyone. You have ranked first in both the entrance exam and the quirk apprehension test."
"Physical prowess is no substitute for leadership." Izuku countered smoothly. "Just because I'm strong doesn't mean I'm wise or smart."
"Eh, I don't know Midori. That seemed pretty smart and wise to me." Mina replied with a shrug.
"I gue–" Before Izuku could refute he felt a tapping sensation on his shoulder.
Causing him to turn and come face to face with an orange haired–teal eyed girl. His green eyes widened a fraction when he spotted Ibara standing behind her. Her hands clasped elegantly in front of her, Izuku swore he saw a flicker of realization cross her features.
"Excuse me, are you Midoriya?" She asked without missing a beat.
"Uh, yeah. I'm sorry I don't believe we met." The young angel answered back politely.
"Oh right, sorry. My name is Kendo Itsuka." The redhead introduced herself before gesturing to the vine haired girl behind her. "And this is–"
"Shiozaki. We met at the entrance exam." Izuku cut off and quickly clarified. "It's nice to see that you made it."
"Only because of your actions. Our paths crossing was nothing but a miracle, the lord truly did favor me that day." Ibara bowed slightly in gratitude. "May He bless you for your righteous actions, Midoriya."
"It was nothing really, I couldn't just stand by and do nothing." Izuku said, sheepishly stretching his cheek. "I kinda did it without thinking."
"Regardless of the consciousness of your decision, your intention was pure as could be. If not for your intervention we would not be having this conversation." The vine quirk user rebutted firmly.
"Let me guess, Midori here helped you too?" Mina asked rhetorically with a wide grin.
"Me too?" Ibara cocked her head in confusion.
"Yep, me and Prince Charming here also got some A+ assists from our Prez here. Heh, I don't think there was a person he hadn't helped out in some way." The pinkette smirked while jabbing her thumb at Aoyama. "Man Midori, are there any other cute girls you saved or are me and Shiozaki here just that special?" The girl teased, laughing at the bright red hue that blossomed across Izuku's face.
"I–I don't–wha–" Izuku stuttered for the first time in what felt like forever ago.
"Ahem, catching up aside, I wanted to introduce myself as President of Class 1-B. Your sister class in the Hero Course." Itsuka cut in, saving the greenette from further embarrassment. "It's a pleasure to meet you." She said as she held out her hand.
"Likewise, Kendo." The teen stood up to reciprocate the handshake.
"Not to sound so forward but would it be ok if we could exchange numbers." The redhead asked. Earning some dramatic 'oohs' from Mina and Aoyama, which caused Tokoyami to roll his eyes. "N-not like that, I just figured we could communicate, you know, for class president stuff." Itsuka quickly clarified with a wave of her hand.
"Huh, oh yeah." Izuku blinked dumbly before fishing out his phone from his pocket and handing it to the girl.
"You've never done this before, have you?" Itsuka noted after saving her information and handing the boy his phone.
"Am I that obvious?" The teen chuckled sheepishly.
"Not really, I only just noticed right now." The redhead shrugged casually. "I'm not trying to insult you or anything, just something I noticed."
"Ha, you wouldn't be saying that if you knew what Midori could do." Mina interjected with a playful scoff. The other two boys present nodded along with her statement. "He was first in the entrance exam after all."
"While true I doubt he's that strong, it was mostly through rescue points." Itsuka expressed her doubt. "No offense by the way." She quickly tacked on with an apologetic look. Izuku gave a small wave to show that he didn't mind her skepticism.
"They tell no lies, Kendo." Ibara suddenly interjected with a serious expression. "Midoriya's strength lies far beyond what his points signify."
"Huh, what are you talking about, Shiozaki?" She turned to look at the other girl in confusion.
"During the exam he–"
*BBRRGG*
A loud piercing sound cut through whatever the girl might have said in that moment, drowning the cafeteria with a persistent wail. The group of teens, along with everyone else present, frantically looked around the room. Their confusion on the purpose of the noise lasted a moment before a robotic voice blared through the speakers.
"SECURITY BREACH LEVEL 3! EVACUATE IN AN ORDERLY FASHION!"
Not a second later did the cafeteria erupt into a whirlwind of chaos. Students immediately shot up from their seats and began trampling over one another. The doors that led to the hallway instantly became clogged with the bodies. Some attempted to try and bring order to the mayhem, but they were ignored. Their voices drowned out by the fusion of many different voices shouting in panic.
Izuku, along with everyone else at his table, were among the minority that did not partake in the disorderly 'evacuation'. Itsuka and Ibara had broken away from the group, joining others like Tenya in an attempt to quell the other students. Izuku and the others however opted to stand by their table, watching everything unfold.
"Wow, things really went from 0 to 100 real quick!" Mina shouted; her voice barely heard.
"It is truly a carousel of madness!" Tokoyami grunted as the flood of students expanded rapidly.
"What does that even mean, Edgelord?!" Mina replied back with a confused look.
Soon the group found themselves being slowly forced away from their table, the limbs of multiple students forcing them further into the crowd. Though unlike his friends, Izuku moved more so out of a want to not accidentally hurt anyone. He could feel the bodies of several people pushing at him, but none were able to move him. A fact that he used to his advantage, leading the rest of his table through the crowd.
Within a few moments the angel had managed to form a path through the sea of chaos, Tokoyami, Aoyama, and Mina following close behind. The group of aspiring heroes had managed to secure a spot at the far end of the cafeteria. From there Izuku and the others watched the ensuing mayhem, the situation spiraling further and further out of control.
'This is getting out of hand.' Izuku thought worriedly. 'If this keeps up, someone is bound to get hurt.'
The teen began racking his brain for answers, trying to come up with some way to end the chaos before it escalated further. While doing so his gaze traveled across the room, eventually turning towards the windows behind him. The large panes of glass allowed the angel to see into the courtyard where his eyes narrowed slightly. He could see a small crowd that definitely weren't students or faculty if the cameras and microphones are anything to go by.
"Is–is that the press?" Izuku said aloud, drawing the attention of Tokoyami, who also turned to look out the window.
"Ah, so they managed to get in, hmm? How typical of the media." The shadow user held a look that conveyed both surprise and annoyance.
"Managed to get in?" The greenette parroted, turning to his friend. "What do you mean, Tokoyami?" He asked curiously.
"They were at the front gate when I arrived, asking questions pretraining to All Might's status as a teacher." Tokoyami answered with a shrug. "Looks like they managed to worm their way in like the parasites they are."
"So, all of this is because of the press then." Izuku muttered to himself. 'Level 3 means that someone infiltrated the grounds, guess we know who the culprit is now.'
The disappointment he felt was only matched by the impressiveness that such a spectacle was caused by something so minor. Shaking his head, blue wings and halo appeared causing Mina and Tokoyami to jump back in surprise.
"I'll be right back." The angel plainly stated before flying upward so that he was hovering above the mass of students. "Ahem." Clearing his throat, Izuku took a deep breath before letting out a deafening shout that shook the room.
"SILENCE!"
Like a light switch being flipped the insistent noise of the other students instantly ceased into quietness. All eyes in the room instantly locked onto the hovering teen, with looks ranging from shock and awe to intimidated. On the outside the greenette remained confident and calm, though on the inside Izuku was somewhat surprised how well that worked.
"Calm yourselves, it's just the press." With how quiet it was Izuku was able to speak normally and still be heard by everyone. "Now, start acting the heroes you're aspiring to be and calmly follow the evacuation procedure." He ordered sternly, leaving no room for argument.
As if by divine intervention itself the sound of muffled police sirens could be heard coming from the windows to the cafeteria. There was a wave of murmurings as the once mob began to organize itself into a cohesive line. With no complaints Izuku floated back down towards Tokoyami and the rest of the group, who were looking at him with bewildered expressions.
"Damn Midori, didn't know you had that in you." Mina whistled, impressed.
"Truly mon ami I've never seen you so…commanding before." Aoyama tacked on with a raised brow.
"It is befitting of a class representative though." Tokoyami added his own input. He reached over to give the greenette a friendly pat on the shoulder. "I believe we made the right choice in electing you, my friend."
"I just didn't want anyone to get hurt." Izuku shrugged casually. The group joining the line of the students that formed.
"Well with how you handled that looks like you don't need us as bodyguards." Mina joked. "Hey–hey maybe we should start calling ourselves The Cabinet since you're the Prez."
"...do you think she has an off button?" The greenette gave the girl a deadpan stare before turning to Tokoyami and Aoyama.
"I'm not unconvinced she does have one. It's just a matter of finding it." The flamboyant blonde replied back with a smirk.
He received a light smack to the back of his head for his comment, causing the other two to laugh. The sound continued as the group bantered with one another as they traversed the halls back to their homeroom. All of them oblivious to the lanky figure that scurried into the shadows, in the opposite direction of the crowd.
*U.A, Next Day*
"Alright, listen up problem children." To the confusion of some it was Aizawa who entered the class instead of All Might. "Today's Heroics class will be a bit different; you'll be doing rescue training. We'll be traveling by bus for this so you can decide whether or not you want to wear your costumes or not." The man tiredly explained. "Any questions?"
Several hands shot into the air.
"Yes, All Might will be there, along with myself and another Pro Hero who specializes in rescue." Aizawa rolled his dry eyes. "You all will be paired with one of us for the exercise. You'll receive more details when we actually get there." The raised limbs quickly went back down once the explanation was finished. "Alright, you have ten minutes to meet me out in front of Ground Beta."
Without sparing another second the teacher of Class 1-A exited the room, leaving his students to prepare themselves. Izuku, like pretty much everyone else, made his way over to his locker to gather his armor and swords. The angel had gotten used to his armaments that going without them would make him naked. Even if the scenario was not combat related Izuku would feel a lot more comfortable having his armor on.
As he strapped his greaves and gauntlets to their respective limbs, his gaze was drawn to the last piece of his set. The silver helmet stared back into his green eyes, the single line across the left side standing out like a sore thumb. Gabriel had offered to fix the damage, but Izuku declined his offer. The angel saw the stain as a reminder to the promise he made and as a warning for himself. Never again would he allow himself to fall into the temptations of his rage, no he would be better.
With a resolute nod to himself, Izuku grabbed the helmet and placed it over his head, pulling the straps to secure it tightly. Checking over himself, the teen made sure 'Judgment' and 'Mercy' were securely fastened to his left side. Likewise, he also checked his right hip, where his bible was currently strapped to. A modification that Izuku added recently so that he could carry the tome even into battle, much to Gabriel's approval.
Once he finished his self-examination, Izuku followed after his classmates. The sound of his footsteps echoed as he exited the locker room. He quickly linked up with Tokoyami, Aoyama, and Mina, who waited patiently for their friend.
"I don't think I'll ever get used to seeing your outfit, Midori." Mina said the group traversed the halls. "It's like you're pulled straight out of a fairy tale. Where did you even come up with a design for it?"
"I modeled it after my mentor's own armor." Izuku answered. "I think his is a lot cooler than mine."
"Is this perhaps the same mentor who trained you?" The shadow user asked, remembering a similar answer during their first day.
"Yeah, and still does to this day." The greenette further revealed. "He's the one who gave me my blades."
"Jesus dude, he must be a really experienced hero if he set you up with all that." Mina said while gesturing to Izuku.
"Experienced, yes, though I doubt you'll have ever heard of him." Izuku answered hesitantly. He was unsure of whether he was sharing too much or not. 'Note to self, ask Mr. Gabriel what I can and can't say about being an angel.' The teen mentally noted.
"So mysterious, but I do love a good mystery." Aoyama interjected with a sly smile.
Thankfully before Izuku was pressed further the group found themselves arriving at Ground Beta. Parked at the entrance to the city was a bus, the kind that one would take at the airport or while on a tour. The teen was pulled from his thoughts when he met the expectant gaze of Aizawa, who motioned for him to join the teacher up front. Momo was already standing next to the man, her arms behind her back politely. Breaking away from his group of friends, Izuku joined the Pro Hero and fellow classmate up front.
"Alright, listen up everyone." Izuku's voice cut through the idly conversations. "There's no seating arrangement so sit wherever or with whoever you want. Form a single line so we can get everyone on as quickly as possible."
Issuing the commands felt strange to Izuku, even more so when the rest of the class actually listened to him. If he was being honest, the teen was still fairly unsure of what was expected from him as class president. Though if the barely concealed approval within Aizawa's eyes were anything to go by it seems like he was doing an alright job so far.
With the angel's instructions the entirety of Class 1-A boarded the bus within a few minutes, everyone comfortably seated next to their preferred classmate. Even though he was among the last to board, Izuku still found himself sitting up front. He was across from Aizawa and Momo with Tokoyami seated at his side. Mina and Aoyama were diagonal to the two, the former leaning against the railing.
As the ride progressed Izuku had pulled his bible from his side, hoping to read through a few pages before they arrived. The conversations of the rest of the class faded into the background as the angel quickly became engrossed in his reading.
"Pardon my interruption, but I did not know you were religious Midoriya." Tokoyami suddenly commented.
"I wasn't really until recently." Izuku answered without looking, He closed the book before strapping it back to his hip.
"It really suits the whole holy knight vibe you got going on." Mina teased with a smile.
"I think it's manly as hell." Kirishima interjected, joining in on the conversation. "Midoriya bro you gotta tell me who made that armor of yours."
"I too am curious about its origin." Momo added, tapping her chin thoughtfully. "I wonder what sort of metal it is composed of."
"I would love to tell you, but I actually don't know." Izuku shrugged nonchalantly. "As to who made it, all I know is that his name is Samael."
"Sounds weird." Jiro joined in.
"I think it sounds pretty cool." The red haired teen countered. "Has a real tough guy sound to it."
"Considering Midoriya's substantial strength I'm inclined to believe that just might be the case." Aoyama agreed with Kirishima.
"I think you mean 'OP' as hell." Kaminari sounded from the middle of the bus. "Like seriously how are you so strong with such a basic quirk?" He asked with clear jealousy, Mineta nodding along with his words.
"You're probably drowning in chicks aren't you?" The purple gremlin pointed an accusatory finger at the greenette, his unamused expression hidden behind his helmet. "You lucky bastard."
"If he is, it's definitely not because of his quirk you creep." Jiro scowled; her jacks ready to strike the small teen.
"Ya, I mean just look at Bakugo and Todoroki." Mina added while jabbing her thumb in the direction of said boys.
"Kero, but Bakugo's so unhinged I think Todoroki is a better choice." Tsuyu casually voiced her thoughts.
"The fuck you say, Frogger?!" Said blonde fixed the girl with an annoyed look. The reply wasn't as intense as the rest of the class were expecting.
"See?"
"I mean that's pretty much a given though." Kaminari said. "We've known Bakugo for less than three days and we already know his personality is the equivalent of flaming crap."
"Shut the fuck up, Pikachu. I'll blow your face off if you say that again." Bakugo growled as he gave the teen a murderous look.
"Alright calm down." Izuku intervened, sounding much like a mother scolding her children. "Bakugo stop taking the bait, they're just trying to rile you up. Kaminari, Asui stop antagonizing him." The explosive user grunted while the other two nodded. "Jiro don't use your jacks on Mineta…unless he continues to be a creep. Then you have my permission to keep him quiet." Said girl smirked evilly while the purple haired teen gulped nervously.
"Excellently handled, my friend." Tokoyami praised.
"Ha, guess we might have to start calling you mom now, Midori." Mina giggled at how the greenette handled the situation.
"I can and will abuse my power to ban that if I have too." Izuku deadpanned.
"As vice president I motion to veto your decision." Momo quickly interjected.
"By the Father, not you too Yaoyorozu." The angel groaned as dragged his hand across his armored face. The creation user merely giggled in response, high fiving Mina's pink hand.
"We're here, stop messing around." Aizawa cut in, sparing the greenette from further teasing.
The bus came to a stop outside of a large dome shaped building, rivaling the main U.A building in size. Izuku really wondered just how much U.A's budget was to fund so many large scale buildings. The inquiry was filled away for later as the class approached the door, where a person wearing a puffy spacesuit stood.
'A space themed hero and Aizawa-sensei said their specialty is rescue.' Izuku pondered, realization dawning on him a second later. 'That must make them–'
"Oh my god! It's the Space Theme Hero: Thirteen!" Ochako squealed in excitement. Her eyes practically shining with stars in them.
'Well, least I know who's her favorite hero now.' Izuku chuckled to himself. Finding the brunette's fangirling adorable.
"Always nice to meet a fan." The Pro Hero waved politely before turning around and gesturing for the class to follow. "But we can get to autographs later, why don't we head inside."
Stepping through the large entrance most of Class 1-A were blown away by the sheer scale of what was inside the dome shaped building. From the top of the staircase where they stood the group of students could see that every inch of available space was used. It had a similar layout to that of an amusement park like Disney or Universal Studios. The space was divided by several 'biomes' of disasters, all of them unique from one another.
"Woah, this place is even bigger on the inside!" Sero said in amazement. Other students voiced their agreement.
While the others admired the scenery Izuku couldn't help but turn his attention towards Thirteen and Aizawa. The former was currently whispering something into the latter's ear, causing a scowl to appear a second later. Though he did his best not to eavesdrop, the angel was able to pick up the words 'All Might' and 'unable' from the conversation. Izuku didn't need to be a genius to put two and two together.
"Alright, problem children stop gawking and listen up." Aizawa gruffly shut down the murmurings.
"Before we begin with today's exercise I'd like to say one thing…or two…or–uh more than three." Thirteen awkwardly began. "Ahem, welcome to the Unforeseen Simulation Joint or USJ for short. Here you will learn the fundamentals of rescue operations." Thirteen began her explanation. "I had this place designed for every disaster in mind, floods, landslides, fires you name it and it's here. As I'm sure you all know my quirk is called–"
"Black Hole! And it allows you to suck up and tear apart anything! You're able to clear mountains of debris with ease and save countless lives!" The gravity user excitedly answered.
"Yeah, that's right." The Pro chuckled from the enthusiasm before her voice turned serious. "However, my quirk is also incredibly dangerous, capable of killing people just as easily."
The mood instantly shifted from that single sentence alone, the excited energy tampering down significantly. While most of the other students looked uneasy, Izuku maintained a calm appearance. Ever since his training with Gabriel, Izuku understood that his strength could easily be used to kill a person. If the machines in the Cyber Grind were easily torn apart then there was no question he could just as easily do the same to a human.
"I'm sure the same can be said for many of you here." The Pro Hero continued seriously. "Quirks restrictions might exist, but all it takes is one wrong move for people to die. That's why here you will learn how to use your quirks to save lives and help others." She gestured to the many disaster biomes. "Sometimes it takes more than stopping a villain to save lives, so get out and go beyond…"
"Plus Ultra!" The class finished with a loud cheer.
"Today is going to be a long day." The erasure hero yawned tiredly. "Let's start with–"
Izuku's body instantly became rigid, earning him a few concerned looks from his classmates, as an unfamiliar sensation blew against him. It was like a particularly strong gust of wind had struck him and a cold one at that. The lights to the building flickered ominously further pushing the uneasy feeling that spread throughout his body. His hand unconsciously wrapped around the grip of 'Mercy'.
The angel's suspicion was shared by Aizawa, who lost his tired posture and became alert. The Pro Hero's gaze traveled down to the center of the building where a water fountain stood. There a dark purple mist had mysteriously formed, though that was not the most concerning part. Several dozen people emerged from the fog, staring up at the group of students like starving beasts.
"Stick together now!" Aizawa commanded harshly. "Thirteen protect the students, we're under attack!"
"Under attack?!"
"What?!"
"By who?!"
"Villains." Izuku answered bluntly, unsheathing 'Mercy' quickly.
"Villains?! They can't really be dumb enough to attack a hero school!" Kirishima tried to quell the panic that was rising in him.
"Aizawa-sensei, aren't there sensors to detect intruders?" Momo asked with a worried look.
"I'm not getting a signal; they probably have a quirk to disable our communications." Thirteen answered while tucking away her phone.
"So, no outside help and they had someone bring them in from the outside with that weird fog…" Jiro muttered anxiously.
"An isolated area with no ability to call for backup. They're not as stupid as we thought if they managed to enact this surprise attack." Todoroki added in a monotone voice. "Which probably means–"
"They have a plan." Izuku finished, gripping his katana tightly. "We need to fall back now."
"Midoriya's right, Thirteen start evacuating the students." Aizawa ordered, walking towards the front of the stairs. "Iida use your quirk to get back to U.A, there's no telling how far their jammers range is."
"Yes, sensei!" The glasses wearer saluted.
Aizawa pulled his scarf from around his neck, loosening the fabric and allowing him to pull his goggles over his eyes. As the Pro was about to go down and engage he stopped when he felt another presence stand by him. He wasn't that surprised to see Izuku's armored form there.
"Your quirk and fighting style are not suitable for prolonged combat, sensei." Izuku said plainly. "I will assist you while the others make their escape."
"Absolutely not." The erasure hero refused. "I can handle myself just fine, a good hero isn't a one trick pony. Your classmates on the other hand need someone to lead them through this, so be their leader."
"Mm, very well." Izuku grunted, conceding that his teacher did have a point. "When they're safe I'm coming back for you." The angel promised while turning to join the rest of his class.
The man gave a small smirk before schooling his expression, charging into the fray of villains without hesitation. With the sound of battle Izuku made his way to the front of the class, leading them back towards the entrance. His unhesitant stride seemed to have some effect on the others, their scared looks dissipating into more confident ones. The exit was only a few feet away, that was until the same purple mist suddenly obscured the opening.
"Apologies, but I cannot allow that." A deep voice said, yellow eyes appearing in the fog. The villain exited the fog, his arms placed behind his back as he observed the class. "Greetings, we are the League of Villains, and we are here to kill All Might." The humanoid figure of mist introduced with a small bow. "Apologies for catching you like this, we were under the impression All Might would be here today. Hmm, no matter, the plan remains unchanged."
Before Izuku could respond to the villain, Bakugo and Kirishima leapt forward towards the mass of mist. The former let out a sizable explosion while the latter delivered a hardened punch aimed at the man's face. There was a brief plume of smoke before it disappeared revealing the villain had begun reforming his right side.
"Ah, I forgot even though you are just students you still possess considerable power." The mist user brushed his shoulder nonchalantly. "I will not make the same mistake tw–"
The monologue was cut short as Izuku dashed forward in a blur of green and silver. His arm pulled back, ready to attack with his katana. The villain's eyes widened ever so slightly from the suddenness of the charge. Though before he could retaliate a glint of silver was seen as the blade slashed across his chest.
"Gah!" Yellow eyes widened considerably as the mist user let out a howl of pain. The wound began to regenerate, far slower than the previous two attacks. "You insolent cur!" He shouted in painful rage. "Perish in oblivion!"
The cold sensation intensified greatly, causing Izuku to shiver unconsciously. The feeling was completely opposite to the warmness that came with the Father's Light. The coldness made him feel frail like all of his strength was being sapped away little by little. His vision began to grow dark, the voices of Thirteen and his classmates growing fainter with each passing moment.
'I–I need to break free!" Izuku grit his teeth. 'I need to protect my friends!'
Now pushing back, the cold feeling did not last as the angel's body began to react to the unwelcome sensation. From his chest he could feel the Light blossoming, spreading through his body like the blood in his veins. Izuku's body gained a faint golden glow, causing the purple mist to dissipate whenever it touched his armor. He could feel his Light accumulating, growing stronger with each passing second.
"Enough!"
With a shout Izuku unleashed the buildup of power, creating a golden beam with his wings launching him high in the air. The purple fog that surrounded him evaporated in an instant, revealing that the majority of the class were gone. The only ones who remained were Tenya, Kaminari, and Koda. The latter two looked as though they were about to have a nervous breakdown.
"Damn it, the others were already moved." The greenette cursed. He cast a quick glance over to the fountain, where another wave of villains emerged. "Iida, Kaminari, Koji! Go and get help! I will stay back and assist the others!" He barked firmly.
"R–right!" The engine wielder stuttered. He and the other two boys ran towards the exit, this time making it through without any interruptions.
'Need to help Aizawa-sensei. He won't last against so many even with a quirk like his.' The angel told himself.
With a flap of his wings, he raced down towards the fountain, flipping 'Mercy' in a reverse grip as he did so. However, before he could reach his destination a large chunk of rock slammed into him. Sending him spiraling into the destroyed city zone and crashing into a collapsed building. The concrete cratered from the impact, sending bits of rubble flying in a multitude of directions.
"Annoying." Izuku grunted as he shook off the debris that fell on him. He wasn't actually hurt by the blow, more so just caught off guard by it.
"Going somewhere kiddo?" A rough voice taunted.
Standing outside of the building was a group of villains, Izuku could see that at least a dozen were gathered. A good majority of them had their quirks out for all to see, drill hair, an insect mutation, and others that seemed pretty tame. Izuku however was focused on the perceived leader of the group. A large, imposing man that looked like a minotaur, complete with two sharp horns sticking out of his head.
The group of villains stood there cockily, smirking at the teen with maniacal grins.
"Well hot damn, that's some fancy armor ya got there kid." The minotaur whistled. "I'm sure I can get a pretty penny for it."
"Stand down and surrender." The angel ordered, pointing 'Mercy' at the group threateningly. "I do not wish to hurt you, but I will if I must."
"Ha ha! Like we're gonna listen to a twerp like you." The girl with drill hair mocked with a laugh. The other villains also laughing along.
"Very well, you have been warned." With an expert twirl of his blade, Izuku floated a few inches off the ground before suddenly racing forward. "Now you will be judged!"
There was a series of surprised yelps as the teen closed the distance in less than a second. His armored knee immediately met the face of a plain looking man. Though he held back considerably the force created a loud crunching sound, a stream of blood following soon after. The villain flew back several feet before landing on the pavement with a thud, unmoving and completely unconscious.
Flipping his blade back to a standard grip, Izuku quickly sidestepped the claw wielding villain with ease. The angel brought the pommel of the weapon down into the back of his head, sending him to the ground with a throbbing head. Using his wings to propel himself into the air, Izuku managed to dodge the slimy tentacle that was aimed at his back.
"Fucking stand still damn it!" The tentacle user shouted. Sending the slimy appendage out to strike once more.
What she didn't expect was for the teen to grab the tentacle with his free hand, gripping it tightly in his armored hand. With a harsh tug, he easily pulled the woman upward towards him. As she approached him Izuku brought his arm back and backhanded her with his gauntlet. The tentacle, along with her body went limp immediately as the villain landed back on the ground.
The rest of the villains had barely any time to react before the angel charged once more. He shoulder bashed one before quickly moving on and grabbing another by their face. He used their body as a battering ram, bulldozing through several other villains. The push ended when Izuku slammed said villain into the wall of a building. The concrete splintering into a web of cracks.
These villains, Izuku realized, paled in comparison to the likes of the machines in the Cyber Grind. They were slow, weak, and lacked any sort of cohesion as a team. The greenette was almost insulted that this was the best they could offer him. It was like knocking over dominoes, they fell one after another with no more than a single hit to take them down. It only took a few more moments to leave just the minotaur villain left.
"You guys are fucking useless." He grunted in annoyance. "I gotta do everything around here."
The villain charged forward like a bull would, his horns pointing at Izuku's armored chest. Not backing down, Izuku met the charge with one of his own. His free hand gauntlet held up in a block as he surged forward. The result was expected with the angel easily meeting and overpowering the villain.
Roughly pushing back, the minotaur staggered as he was thrown off balance, a weakness that Izuku seized upon. Using his wings to give him some extra speed, he rushed forward delivering a hard punch to the villain's abdomen. The blow took the breath out of him, causing him to let out a pained gasp. Not done yet, Izuku shot upward, bringing his armored knee up against the man's chin.
The resulting force sent the minotaur airborne as well, his eyes wide as he watched the teen rocket towards him in a blur. All he could see was streaks of silver and green as a metal foot slammed into his chest. Sending the villain crashing onto the street with the weight of Izuku pushing him down further.
"Ugh…huh–" The man said in a daze. His vision clearing just in time to see the same metal foot approaching his face. "Oh shi–"
*Crack*
The minotaur's face was further pushed into the pavement with a sickening crunch. Pulling his boot away, Izuku could see that he clearly broke the villain's nose. Though other than that he appeared to be alright, apart from being out cold.
"Consider your sins cleansed…for now." Izuku remarked to the unconscious group of villains. "Now to get back to Aizawa-sensei."
With a powerful flap the greenette sent himself high into the air before racing back towards the fountain. From his position Izuku could see that his teacher was still fighting off the wave of villains, though his movements were clearly a lot slower. Without wasting a second he flew down to aid the Pro Hero, sweeping a villain off their feet and punching them into their comrades.
"Aizawa-sensei are you alright?!" Izuku asked worriedly. Blocking a glass shard that was sent towards him.
"I'm…fine problem child…" The hero huffed tiredly. "I thought I told you to watch over the others!" He brought his capture weapon around the arm of a villain holding a knife, flipping them over his shoulder a second later.
"There were…complications!" The angel grunted, cutting the strand of web that was stuck to his greaves. "I sent Iida, Koda, and Kaminari to get help! Backup should be here soon!"
"Got it!" Aizawa shouted back in understanding.
The teacher and student continued their fight against the swarm of villains, beginning to wear down their numbers. Aizawa's unpredictableness combined with Izuku's aggression and power made for a devastating combination. The former would depower those with his quirk, allowing for the latter to easily swoop in and incapacitate them. Izuku covered Aizawa's back with inhuman fierceness, taking out any who tried to go for a sneak attack.
"You're one tough boss, Eraserhead." A raspy voice croaked.
Said hero turned his attention to the approaching lanky man, hands adorning his body including over the top half of his face. Not one for the theatrics of hero work, Aizawa raced forward towards the man. He guessed that this must be the leader of the whole operation, considering how calm he was being. The Pro Hero brought his capture weapon up and sent it towards the villain, wrapping the fabric around his arm tightly. The man reached and grabbed Aizawa's approaching elbow.
"Your quirk is really 'OP'." The villain tsked. "But I've got a special item that'll even things up."
From the corner of his eye, Izuku spotted a large, dark figure standing menacingly over his teacher. It was big, as big as All Might himself, with bulging muscles the size of a person's head. It had a beak-like mouth, and its brain could be seen with the naked eye. Its eyes were wide open, the bloodshot pupils staring murderously down at Aizawa. The sight of the creature caused Izuku to freeze in place, his heart clenching painfully in his chest.
Though its appearance was unsettling there was something else about it that made Izuku's skin crawl. It was almost like he could feel something else was there, buried deep within a dark abyss. What it was the angel could not say, but he knew that underneath something unseen was there.
And it was trying to escape its prison.
Izuku would swear that he could fear faint whispers coming from the creature, despite its mouth not moving. The whispers were begging and pleading to be released, to be fed so they may grow, and to be whole once more. It made Izuku deeply uncomfortable, whatever this thing was it was an abomination to God himself.
'What in the Father's name is that thing?' Izuku thought uneasily. He quickly drew 'Judgment' from its scabbard in a reverse grip.
"Nomu, kill him." The villain ordered coldly.
Letting out an inhuman screech the creature brought its large fist into Aizawa's face, sending him crashing into the ground. The beast let out another scream as it grabbed the back of the Pro Hero's hair before slamming him back into the ground. The sound of the ground cracking and bones being broken were enough to snap Izuku out of his daze.
"Release him, beast!" Izuku shouted furiously. His wings spread out to their maxim length menacingly.
Becoming a silver and green streak, he raced forward towards the Nomu with unwavering zeal. The angel quickly slashed at the monster's arm, causing it to release the limp form of Aizawa with a yell of pain. Using the opening, Izuku grabbed the collar of his teacher and zipped backwards away from the creature. Looking down he could see that the hero was barely conscious, several of his bones clearly broken and blood leaking from his injuries profusely.
"Don't worry Aizawa-sensei, I'll protect you." The greenette promised as he placed the man into the recovery position.
"Huh, who are you? Some kind of secret encounter?" The villain hoarsely droned on. The purple fog briefly materialized behind him as the mist user appeared at his side.
"Tomura, I believe it is within our best interest to retreat." The warp villain stated. "Reinforcements are sure to arrive soon, and All Might has yet to make an appearance."
"Goddamn it Kurogiri, if you weren't my ticket out of here I'd turn you to dust right now." Tomura huffed in annoyance. "Whatever might as well finish the side quest while we're here. Nomu, kill the brat."
With the order given the abomination raced forward, creating mini craters in the ground with each step it took. Having no other way to protect his teacher, Izuku moved forward to meet the Nomu's charge head on. Unlike his battle with the minotaur villain the creature matched his strength, much to Izuku's surprise. Breaking the stalemate, the angel brought 'Mercy' in a horizontal slash. The blade left a nasty cut across the beast chest, but the wound quickly began to close until it disappeared altogether.
'It can regenerate?!' Izuku's eyes widened behind his helmet.
The greenette barely had enough time to bring his swords up to block the incoming black fist that was sent his way. It felt like getting hit with a Swordmachine's shotgun blast from close range, but five times more powerful. A grunt of pain left Izuku's lips as he was pushed back from the force, managing to stay upright despite the strength of the attack.
The Nomu rushed forward, bringing its arms up in an overhead smash. Izuku easily dodged the predictable attack. Though he couldn't capitalize on the opening as the creature swung its arm in a wide arc. Forcing the teen to back pedal to avoid the wild blow, then another and another. In no time the angel found himself dodging attack after attack, unable to seize upon an opening.
'Damn it, I'm on the defensive!' Izuku scolded himself while dodging another wild jab. 'I need to turn this around now!'
Avoiding one last strike, the angel gave a sharp jab with the pommel of 'Judgment' into the Nomu's side. The creature howled in pain, countering with a right hook aimed at the armored teen's head. The strike was deflected expertly, allowing Izuku to deliver several quick slashes across the creature's abdomen.
The Nomu faltered briefly from the sharp pain, a weakness that Izuku exploited immediately. Dashing around to the creature's back, the greenette used his blades to cut at the back of its knees. Another screech of pain was let out as it lost its balance and fell to the ground with a loud thud. Twirling his swords so that he held one in reverse grip, Izuku launched forward at the downed beast. In an attempt to regain the upper hand, the Nomu threw a wild haymaker towards the approaching teen.
But Izuku anticipated this, skillfully flipping over the black limb and doing a spinning slash as he flew by. The holy silver cut through the Nomu's eyes with ease, sending droplets of blood into the air as it was blinded. Before it could even process that it had lost its sight, Izuku charged once more. Drop kicking the beast while he was in the air and sending it crashing the ground with his full weight on top of it.
Shifting his other blade into a reverse grip as well, the angel raised his arms before plunging the divine weapons back into the creature. 'Judgment' pierced through the Nomu's right hand, pinning the limb to the ground. While 'Mercy' was used to immobilize the left arm by being stabbed through its elbow. The Nomu began to struggle, attempting to dislodge the blades from its limbs. However, its progress was cut short as Izuku brought his armored boot down onto its beak-like face.
"If you can understand me, stay down!" Izuku ordered with a tone of pure steel. "This fight is over!"
"You sure about that hero?" Tomura's crackly voice echoing from the other side of the fountain.
Izuku turned towards the villain, his green eyes widening when he saw the man standing over the prone body Aizawa. Tomura's hand was currently wrapped around the Pro Hero's arm or at least what was left of it. Izuku could see how a chunk of his teacher's limb had begun to fade and crumble away, his flesh and blood turning to clumps of dust. The sight caused Izuku to break his concentration, his pressure against the Nomu faltering. With his wings spreading wide, the angel stepped off the creature dashing forward to save his teacher.
At least that was his intention.
With the weight gone, the Nomu was able to rip its limbs from the blades, slicing its hand and elbow open wide. The damage, along with the cuts to his knees, quickly healed allowing for the creature to enact its attack. Before Izuku could zip away, the Nomu grabbed his leg tightly, pulling him back with a surprised shout.
Letting out a blood curdling shriek, the Nomu lifted Izuku high in the air before slamming him harshly into the ground. The ground splintered beneath the blow, sending chunks of rock into the air. The process was repeated several more times, with the creature violently bashing the angel further into the earth.
Izuku let out a grunt of pain as his body met the ground once more, this time though he was not picked up again. The pressure around his leg disappeared, the Nomu's large hand moving to grasp the back of its target helmet. The angel struggled to push back against the strength of the beast as it pushed his face further into the ground. He threw a backwards elbow, striking the Nomu repeatedly in the face. While the blows did it hit their intended target, they had no real effect on loosening the grip on his head.
Pinned down, Izuku's brain and body went into overdrive as he struggled against the Nomu's inhuman strength. While doing so his gaze traveled back towards the sight of Tomura standing over Aizawa. The villain had dropped the Pro Hero's arm, his hand now reaching out to grab at the man's exposed neck.
'No no no!' Izuku thought frantically. His struggling increased significantly his strikes become fiercer with each hit. "Let me go!"
Fueled by both panic and rage, Izuku slammed his elbow into the joint of the Nomu's arm that gripped his head. The blow dislodged the limb, allowing for the greenette to quickly get into a kneeling position. With a war cry the teen gave the creature an unrestrained punch across its beak-like face. The sound of bones breaking and the feeling of wetness shifting against his fist told Izuku that he just punched the Nomu's jaw clean off.
The punch sent the Nomu reeling back, crashing into the side of the fountain with a loud crash. Without wasting a second, Izuku used his wings to push himself forward, pushing past his limits and flying faster than he thought possible. Unfortunately, even with his inhuman speed Izuku could tell that he wouldn't make it in time. The villain's hand was already closing in around Aizawa's neck.
Was that it then? All his training, all this power and he couldn't even do the bare minimum of saving a single person. All his claims of becoming a great hero, of becoming a person that people would feel safe around with just his presence alone. Was it really all about to fade away before his very eyes?
'No…no–NO! I won't allow that to happen!" The dark thoughts burned away as a raging fire burned brightly within him.
Without realizing it the warm feeling of the Father's Light bloomed throughout his body. The sensation began to move like the current of a river. A faint glow appeared in his right hand, growing in intensity until it became blinding. The Light then began to take shape, gleaming brightly until it was fully formed.
With one final shine, the glow disappeared revealing a long ethereal, golden javelin. The weapon radiated with holy energy, promising divine retribution. Izuku didn't have time to admire the fact that he managed to use his Light for the first time. Instead, all he saw was that he had a way to save his teacher, and he fully intended to do so. Rearing his arm back as he continued to fly forward, the angel let out a ruthless shout as he threw the javelin forcefully.
"Face judgment, villain!"
The divine weapon soared through the air like a comet traveling through the void of space. It became a thin line of light, reaching its intended target in no time. Tomura didn't even have the time to turn towards the teen before he was struck by the javelin. The holy weapon easily pierced into his shoulder, sending him tumbling back a few feet.
However, it was not the force of the blow that caused Tomura to let out a terrifying screech. As the holy javelin was embedded into his shoulder, the lanky man was filled with a burning sensation unlike any he's ever felt before. It felt as though his very soul was on fire, his very sins being purged from his body. The longer the weapon was stuck in his body the worse the feeling became, until eventually every part of his body felt like it was being set alight.
The villain's hand immediately went to grab the shaft of the javelin, but that proved to only make his pain even worse. It felt as though he just touched a piece of hot metal, the skin of his hand sizzling from the heat. He even attempted to use his quirk, wrapping all five fingers tightly around the ethereal weapon. But to his surprise the javelin remained, and he received an even harsher burn for his attempt.
"Gah! What the fuck is this?!" Tomura yelled, writhing on the ground in pain. "You–you fucking hacker! You're fucking cheating!" With a trembling body, the villain pushed himself onto his knees. Pointing at Izuku with a shaky finger. "Nomu kill him! Kill him right now!"
With Aizawa now out of immediate danger, Izuku was able to turn his focus back to the charging monstrosity. As he sidestepped the Nomu's wild fists, the angel could see that its jaw still hadn't regenerated. Something that caused his eyes to raise from behind his helmet in realization.
'So, it has a limit to what it can take?' Izuku ducked before launching a hard uppercut into its midsection. 'Then let's break that limit!'
Ramping up his aggression, the greenette began delivering blow after blow, no longer holding himself back. If this creature could take a hit, Izuku was more than willing to keep going until it couldn't take it anymore. A punch to the chest shattered cracked its ribs, a kick to its knee dislocated the bone, and a strike to its joint broke its arm.
Though like the machines the Nomu had no regard for its well-being, simply taking the damage head on and retaliating in kind. It managed to get in its own attacks, punching the angel several times with its enormous fists. While painful Izuku powered through, not relenting his aggression for even a moment. For every attack it managed to land, Izuku delivered three times the amount of hits back at the creature.
The damage soon began to affect the Nomu with its movements beginning to slow down and its strikes becoming far weaker. This only emboldened Izuku to keep up the offensive, relentlessly chipping away at the beast's regeneration. Wounds that would have closed in seconds were now taking far longer to heal. Silently telling Izuku that the Nomu was on its last legs and just needed one good push to keep it down.
"Time to finish this!" The greenette confidently proclaimed.
He dashed forward, twisting around to avoid the fist aimed for his chest. Using one arm to push hold the Nomu's arm, the other was used to roughly elbow the creature in its side. Twisting around further, Izuku used his wings to propel himself into the air. He continued the combo with a sharp knee to the underside of its face, followed by a kick with his other leg.
The Nomu reached upward in an attempt to grab the airborne teen, but all it met was empty space. Flipping over the predictable grapple, Izuku landed behind the creature, wrapping his arms around its torso tightly. Pushing his muscles to their limit and with the help of his wings, Izuku lifted the large beast into the air. He bent backwards and allowed himself to plummet to the ground, in a sort of midair German Supplex.
*Crack*
The earth fractured beneath the weight as the Nomu was slammed headfirst into the ground before falling onto its stomach. Standing back up, Izuku turned around to see that the creature managed to lift its damaged face. Its attempts to stand back up were met with a swift retaliation in the form of an armored foot. The angel had delivered a harsh kick straight to the Nomu's face, a loud crunching noise following the blow.
Whatever fight was left instantly left the beast's body with the strike, its eyes rolling into the back of its head as it fell to the ground limply. With the threat neutralized Izuku allowed himself to fall to a kneeling position. The adrenaline wearing off and the all too familiar sensation of soreness wracking every part of his body.
"Hah…hah…I–I did it…" Izuku laughed even though he was out of breath. The full weight of what he just accomplished setting in. "I won…and I used my Light too…heh Mr. Gabriel is gonna love to hear this."
"No no no no! You fucking cheat! How did you beat Nomu?!" Tomura ranted childishly. The javelin had disappeared, leaving behind a large black hole through his shoulder. "It was made to beat All Might so how?! How did you do it?!"
*Bang*
*Bang*
Two loud gunshots were heard, the bullets piercing through the villain's abdomen and other shoulder. The noise drew the attention of the remaining villain forces and Izuku back towards the U.S.J's entrance. Standing there was every member of the U.A staff, even some that Izuku hadn't had the chance to meet yet. He could Present Mic, Midnight, even Nezu himself were all present, ready to engage the intruders at a moment's notice. Leading the charge was none other than All Might himself, who, for the first time in Izuku's life, wasn't wearing his usual smile.
"Everything is fine now!" The number one hero bellowed. "Because I AM HERE!"
Ripping off his tie the man leapt forward towards the rest of the remaining villains, the other faculty following suit. It was almost comical how easily the rest of the villains were defeated, with All Might blitzing through the majority of them in only a few seconds. With the tide being shifted in the hero's favor Tomura could let out an angry growl. As the purple mist surrounded, the decay user sent one last murderous glance towards the kneeling angel.
But Izuku was not intimidated, staring directly back with a similar air of ferocity. It would not be the last time he would battle Tomura; he was sure of it.
"Young Midoriya, are you alright?" All Might appeared before the teen. Placing a comforting hand on his shoulder.
"I'm fine, All Might-sensei." He answered, pulling himself to his feet with a small grunt. "You need to worry about Aizawa-sensei. And everyone else, I don't know if they're injured or not but I–"
"Woah–woah calm yourself young Midoriya." The number one hero cut off his rambling. "Shota and Thirteen were the only ones in critical condition and they are currently being treated right now." The man gave a smile. "Your classmates are unharmed minus a few minor injuries. All thanks to you my boy."
"What? But I…I wasn't there to protect them." Izuku rebutted in confusion.
"You are but one man, young Midoriya, you can't be everywhere at once." All Might firmly stated. "Besides thanks to your orders, young Iida, Kaminari, and Koji were able to get us for help." The Pro Hero gave a firm pat on his armored shoulder. "You did good, young Midoriya, you were a real hero today."
Though he couldn't see it, All Might could tell that the teen was smiling behind his helmet.
'A real hero indeed.' The man smiled sadly, guilt behind his eyes as he watched Izuku walk away to help with the cleanup process. The Pro Hero contemplated whether he should say something, but he couldn't find the courage to. With a sigh All Might turned around and picked up the prone body of the Nomu, one final thought lingering in his mind.
'I will make things right with you, young Midoriya. I swear it.'
"Women, am I right? Hello, Based Department?"
"…Mr. Gabriel why did you call me?"
And the first use of Light was used by our boy, he grows up so fast. As a minor head cannon I'm implementing into this story, I like to think that weapons of Light hurt more based on the sinfulness of a person. Which is why Tomura felt that burning sensation when he was hit with it. Regarding Nomu I'm sure that if you played Ultrakill you already know what I'm going to have Gabriel say about it in the next chapter. I'll expand upon everything that happened more in the next chapter.
Speaking of if it appears like Izuku kinda breezed through this battle that was by design. Like I said before, when it comes to Izuku struggling there are very few people in the MHA universe that can give him a challenge. If it wasn't for Tomura giving Izuku a second wind, the battle with Nomu would be a lot closer than it was. But don't worry, in the coming chapters Izuku will definitely be met with a real challenge. I can promise you that. Otherwise, if you have any questions, or if I forgot anything, I'll do my best to answer it to the best of my ability. Also question for you guys, how was the dialogue for Izuku when we was battling the villains, good, bad, in the middle? Let me know.
