Episode 337: A Real Cleffa-Hanger
Hello, my faithful readers. I have just been given word that Rachael Lillis, the original voice of Misty and Jessie from the old Pokémon anime and the voice of Ursula from Dinosaur King has been diagnosed with breast cancer and God knows how long she has. I was pretty much shocked to hear this bit of tragic news. But I wonder how the rest of you would react to this. Shortly after participating in their first step in the Pokémon Stadium Cup, Sora, Kairi, Roxas, Xion, Ash, Leaf, Ethan, Kris, Lyra, Brendan, May, Chase, Elaine, Trace, Pikachu, Angel, Xipak, Celeste, Marill, Volt, and Maple have entered Viridian Forest. Deciding to catch more Pokémon, Roxas, Xion, Chase, and Elaine looked around.
Roxas spotted a Pidgey fluttering down. Roxas snuck around and he took out a Razz Berry and threw it. Seeing the berry, the Pidgey slowly walked over to the berry and begins to eat it. Roxas then threw the Pokéball at the Tiny Bird Pokémon, making it flow inside. The Pokéball begins to wobble around and around. Stars swirls around the Pokéball to confirm the catch.
"Yes! I got myself a Pidgey!" Roxas exclaimed.
"Pikachu!" Xipak cheered.
"Good job, Roxas. You made your first catch," Sora said.
"Pikachu," Pikachu said.
"Thanks. Now, to look for more Pokémon to catch," Roxas said, spotting a male Rattata. Roxas took out another Pokéball and threw it. Rattata flowed inside and the Pokéball wobbles around and around. Stars swirls around the Pokéball to confirm the catch. Roxas went over to the Pokéball and picked it up. "I got me a Rattata."
"Great! I got myself a Rattata, too," Brendan said.
"I caught myself a Caterpie," May said.
"I caught a Caterpie, too," Chase said.
"Me too!" Elaine said.
"I got myself an Oddish and a female Nidoran," Xion said.
"Looks like you're doing great," Sora said.
"Pikachu," Pikachu said.
"Virdian Forest is full of Pokémon coming out the wazoo, and I wanna be sure to catch some while I can," Chase said.
"Pikachu," Volt said.
"Don't get too carried away. There could be Pokémon that actually belong to someone, so the Pokéballs won't work on those," Sora said.
"Pikachu," Pikachu said.
"He's right, Chase. And there could be Trainers here who will challenge you to a battle," Elaine said.
"Eevee," Maple said.
The ears of the Pikachu, Eevee, and Marill perked up. Pikachu, Angel, Xipak, Celeste, and Marill were ready for anything while Volt and Maple were uneasy.
"You hear something?" Sora asked.
"Maple, what's wrong?" Elaine asked.
"What is it, Volt?" Chase asked.
"What's with them?" Trace asked.
"I got a bad feeling about this," May said.
"So do I," Brendan said.
"A bad feeling about what?" Trace asked.
Not too far away, Weevil and Rex were following the group, ready to strike when suddenly, a horde of Heartless appeared. The Heartless consisted of Shadows, Soldiers, Big Bodies, Red Nocturnes, Blue Rhapsodies, Yellow Operas, Green Requiems, Silver Rocks, Emerald Blues, Crimson Jazzes, Air Soldiers, Minute Bombs, Cannon Guns, Darkballs, Shadow Rockets, Shadow Magmas, Shadow Aquas, and some new Heartless.
One is a tarantula-like Heartless that has a dark purple body and dark green legs. It has large fangs and eight yellow eyes. The Heartless emblem is located on its abdomen. This Heartless shall be known as the Spiterror.
Another is a dark blue bat-like Heartless. It has bitty yellow eyes and an orange scorpion tail. It also has orange scorpion claws and legs. The Heartless emblem is located on both of its wings. This Heartless shall be known as the Scorbat.
Another is a brown newt-like Heartless. It has blood-red external gills and round yellow eyes. The Heartless emblem is located on the forehead. This Heartless shall be known as the Newtoxic.
"Not now!" Kris cried.
"Monsters!" Chase, Elaine, and Trace exclaimed with fear.
Seeing the Heartless, Weevil and Rex went wide-eyed and nearly jumped out of their clothes.
"MONSTERS?!" Weevil and Rex exclaimed with fright, running for their lives and screaming.
"Run!" Weevil yelled.
"I'm running!" Rex yelled.
Over to a young couple, they were about to have themselves a romantic picnic when Weevil and Rex ran by, ruining their picnic.
"Hey, what's the big idea?!" The young man yelled.
"RUN FOR YOUR LIVES!" Rex shouted.
"THERE ARE MONSTERS IN THE FOREST!" Weevil yelled.
"Horrible, scary, yellow-eyed monsters!" Rex exclaimed. They screamed as they kept running.
Back with the group, Sora, Kairi, Roxas, Xion, Ash, Leaf, Ethan, Kris, Lyra, Brendan, and May summoned their Keyblades and they engaged the Heartless in battle.
"Sora, Ash?" Chase asked.
"What are they doing?" Elaine asked.
"Are those keys?" Trace asked.
"Take out those Heartless! Every last one!" Sora said.
They swung their Keyblades at the Heartless, striking them down. A Spiterror spat out a dark purple ball of poison at Lyra, but she jumped out of the way and struck it down. Pikachu and Xipak fired Thunderbolt at a couple of Crimson Jazzes, destroying them as a Darkball came chomping at them, but Angel and Celeste saved them with a Swift combo.
A Large Body swings its arms, hitting Ethan and Brendan, but Kris and May saved their boyfriends by striking it by the head, destroying it. The Red Nocturnes fired fireballs at Leaf, but she managed to avoid it and cast a blizzard spell, hitting them. She then followed with a fire spell, hitting the Blue Rhapsodies. The Scorbats flew at Ash and attempts to sting him when Roxas and Xion struck it down.
As they watched the fight, they were both shocked and at awe with what they were seeing. They were fighting the monsters they have only heard through rumors and
A small squad of Shadows jumped to attack Sora from behind.
"Sora!" Trace gasped.
"Volt! Thunder Shock!" Chase ordered. Volt fired Thunder Shock at the Shadows, destroying them. Sora turned to see Volt standing behind him.
"Thanks, Volt," Sora said.
"Pikachu," Volt said.
"Sora, you take those monsters down!" Chase said. A few Air Soldiers were coming for Chase, Elaine, and Trace from behind.
"Chase, Elaine, Trace, duck!" Sora shouted, throwing his Kingdom Key. Ducking their heads, the Kingdom Key struck the Air Soldiers, destroying them. "You three stay back!"
"What are they?" Elaine asked.
"We'll explain later!" Sora said.
They kept on fighting off the Heartless until the last of them were destroyed.
"That takes care of them," Roxas said.
"I had a feeling they'll show up again once in a while," Sora said.
"Pikachu," Pikachu said.
Sora went over to Chase, Elaine, and Trace as he dismissed the Kingdom Key.
"You guys okay?" Sora asked.
"We should be asking you that," Chase said.
"Pikachu," Volt said.
"You mind filling us in about what we just saw, Sora?" Trace asked. Sora sighed to himself when he looked at the rest of the group, knowing what was coming.
"After everything you saw, we might as well fill you three about what you saw. Those monsters you saw are the Heartless. And we used weapons called Keyblades," Sora said.
"Keyblade?" Chase asked.
"So those monsters are called Heartless?" Elaine asked.
"Yeah. The Heartless are attracted to the darkness in the hearts of people," Sora said.
"And there's darkness in every heart. Even yours," Ash said.
"That's scary," Chase said.
"Well, it's even worse than you'd think, Chase," Kris said.
"The Heartless attacks people and take their hearts," Brendan said.
"When the darkness is a person's heart gets stronger, the chances to be turned into a Heartless gets even higher," May said.
"Turned into a Heartless?" Elaine asked, feeling afraid.
"Yeah. It happens when that person feeds that darkness with certain feelings," Lyra said.
"Feelings like anger, hatred, jealousy, greed, selfishness," Kris said.
"We've seen it happen," Kairi said.
"Well, the Heartless aren't the only things we should worry about. There are also the Nobodies and the Unversed," Sora said.
"And Vanitas, too," Roxas said.
"Who's Vanitas?" Chase asked.
"And what are the Nobodies and the Unversed?" Trace asked.
"He's a masked kid we met in the Hoenn region. Another Keyblade wielder, like us," Xion said.
"The Nobodies were those white monsters that attacked Pallet Town a while back," Leaf said.
"And the Unversed are creatures born from feelings of negativity," Roxas said.
"You see, when a person with a strong heart is turned into a Heartless, a Nobody is created," Sora explained.
"There was a group of evil people who had control over the Nobodies. A group called Organization XIII," May said.
"Organization XIII?" Chase asked.
"Organization XIII were a group of 13 powerful Nobodies that still had their human forms. Each one had a power over a certain element, and like May said, they had control over the other Nobodies," Roxas said.
"That is until we beaten them," Brendan said.
"You beaten them?" Trace asked.
"Yeah, and those guys made Team Rocket look like a bunch of petty crooks compared to them," Ethan said.
"But there's something else I think you should know about me," Roxas said.
"You know, Roxas, it sounded like you know more than everyone else," Elaine said.
"So, how do you know?" Trace asked.
"The reason I know is because I was a member of Organization XIII. And my element is light. I was brought in when Xemnas, the Organization's leader found me and brought me in. I didn't even know who I was by that. In fact, I acted like a total zombie in those days. I didn't even know what a Pokémon was until Axel showed me around," Roxas said.
"Axel?" Elaine asked.
"Axel was another member of the Organization. In fact, he was Roxas's best friend," Ash said.
"He looked out for Roxas the whole time he was with them," Leaf said.
"Yeah. I was with the Organization until I left," Roxas said.
"You left?" Chase asked.
"Why did you leave?" Trace asked.
"I left because Axel told me something he knew my whole life. About where I came from; or should I say, who I came from," Roxas said.
"Who you came from?" Trace asked, puzzled.
"A Nobody is half a person," Kairi said.
"Who were you before?" Elaine asked.
"Me," Sora answered. Chase, Elaine, and Trace looked at Sora, shocked.
"You?!" Chase, Elaine, and Trace all exclaimed with shock.
"Eevee?!" Maple gasped.
"Pi?!" Volt also gasped.
"That doesn't make sense! You said when a person with a strong heart turns into a Heartless, a Nobody is created! Sora didn't turn into a Heartless!" Trace said.
"Yes, I did," Sora admitted.
"You did?" Elaine asked.
"Yeah. It was back in Radiant Garden when it was Hollow Bastion at the time. We were fighting another Keyblade wielder in that world. He was aiming at Kairi with one of his Keyblades when I took the stab," Sora said, placing his hand over his chest. Kairi placed her hand on his shoulder. "I turned into a Heartless after that, but despite it all, I recognized who my friends were, and Kairi saved me when I changed back from being a Heartless."
"And that's where I came in. After Sora changed back, I lost every bit of memory I had as Sora and half of Sora's strength. But I started to make my own memories. So the Organization tried to get rid of Sora, leaving me in the dark about it. When I learned that I'm Sora's Nobody, I left the Organization, but they weren't willing to let me go without a fight. Pallet Town was the first place I could go to. Or so I thought," Roxas said.
"That's when those Nobodies showed up attacked, and Sora and Kairi's Pokémon fought them off," Chase said.
"Roxas isn't the only Nobody here. I'm actually Kairi's Nobody, but she didn't turn into a Heartless. I was created through Kairi's grief, but like Roxas, I didn't know who I was. All I had was a name I gave myself: Xion. Ash found me, mistaking me for Kairi, so he brought me home to Kairi's family. The Organization didn't even know about me, but they would have if Axel didn't come to take us to safety," Xion said.
"Knowing we couldn't hide forever, we decided that we had we had to rejoin Sora and Kairi, and that's what we did. It was for the best," Roxas said.
"But how are you even here?" Elaine asked.
"It's because we're using replica bodies. With these, we're no longer Nobodies," Xion said.
"We're human, just like you," Roxas said.
"Axel took two replica vessels from the Organization's stronghold, taking a huge risk, so he had me hold on to them for a while. It wasn't until before our final fight with Xemnas that Sora and Kairi gave them their own bodies," Ash said.
"Whoa," Trace said.
"Axel is the reason Xion and I have our own lives," Roxas said.
"Axel sounds like a cool guy. I'd like to meet him," Chase said.
"Hate to break it to you, but he faded away to nothing. That's how a Nobody with their human form dies," Sora said.
"He sacrificed himself to help us," Kairi said.
"And it was because of him we found the Organization's world and defeated the rest of them," Ethan said.
"Sounds like you're used to this sort of thing," Chase said.
"Yeah, we are," Sora said.
"What about Riku, Naminé, Michael, Rui, and that Wes guy. Do they have Keyblades, too?" Chase asked.
"Yeah, they do. And Rei Sakura is our master, and we're her apprentices," Sora said.
"I don't know about the rest of you, but I'd rather keep moving before more show up," Brendan said.
Not needing to be told a second time, the group took their leave of Viridian Forest and arrived to Pewter City.
"This brings back memories," Sora said.
"Why do you say that?" Trace asked.
"Well, this was where I had my very first Gym battle," Sora said.
"I remember that, too," Kairi said.
"Really?" Elaine asked.
"Yup. The Gym Leader goes by the name of Brock, and he uses Rock-type Pokémon," Sora said.
"Nothing else comes closer to hard-hitters than Rock-type Pokémon. Not even Steel-types," Brock said, approaching them from behind.
"Brock, hey," Sora greeted.
"Long time no see," Brock said.
"So, how's your family?" Sora asked.
"You didn't miss much. As usual, my mom's been taking up different hobbies and interests. Things are pretty much the same even with my dad around," Brock said.
"And I can bet you've been getting challengers coming in, too," Kairi said.
"They have. I trust Pikachu and Angel are doing well," Brock said.
"Well, we've been taking good care of them," Kairi said.
"I don't doubt it," Brock said. He noticed new faces in the group. "Ash and Leaf, it's great seeing you, too. And who are you?"
"Right. Brock, these are our friends. Chase, Elaine, and Trace are from Pallet Town, and I knew them since kindergarten. Chase's Pikachu is Volt, Elaine's Eevee is Maple. And these are Ethan, his girlfriend Kris, along with Lyra and her Marill. They're from New Bark Town, and this is Brendan and his girlfriend May. Brendan is from Littleroot Town and May's from Petalburg City. And this guy here is my adopted brother Roxas, and the girl with black hair is Xion, Kairi's adopted sister. The Pikachu is Xipak, and the Eevee is Celeste. Guys, this is Brock. He's the Gym Leader I was just telling you about," Sora introduced.
"It's nice to meet you, Brock," May said.
"Likewise. I take it that you're taking part of the Pokémon Stadium Cup?" Brock questioned.
"How do you know that?" Roxas asked.
"Well, I saw the event in Viridian City on TV. I saw you guys battling. I was very impressed by your skills," Brock said. He looked at the new Trainers. "Except you three." Chase, Elaine, and Trace hung their heads in shame and groaned. Volt and Maple did the same thing. Brock realized he unintentionally brought them down. "But not everyone gets it right away."
"Well, it was our first battle for each of us," Chase said.
"That explains it. The reason you lost to your opponents so easily was because your Pokémon weren't experienced enough for battle," Brock said.
"Any tips you have for us, Brock?" Chase asked.
"Sure thing. You should train your Pokémon before you even think about battling. With proper training, your Pokémon will grow stronger. And they'll learn some new moves along the way. And it's important to work with your Pokémon and give them proper commands, otherwise the Pokémon won't know what to do. Also, make sure you treat your Pokémon kindly and don't push them beyond their limit," Brock said.
"We'll remember that, Brock," Chase said.
"And we'll make sure that they do," Sora said. Brock smiled.
"Glad to hear it," Brock said. He then looked at Kairi. "I heard that you won the Hoenn Grand Festival. Congratulations."
"Thank you, Brock," Kairi said.
"Hey, Brock, you know any good places to catch some wild Pokémon?" Elaine asked.
"I know just the place. You should try Mount Moon. It's just outside of Pewter City, and it's on the way to Cerulean City. Rumor is Cleffa, Clefairy, and Clefable make their home on Mount Moon," Brock said.
"Cleffa, Clefairy, and Clefable, huh?" Elaine asked. "I sure like to see one of those."
"It won't be so easy, Elaine. Cleffa, Clefairy, and Clefable are very rare Pokémon. Not many people can find them out in the wild," Sora said.
"He's right. Cleffa, Clefairy, and Clefable are tricky to find. But there's word that other Pokémon like Ekans, Sandshrew, and Mankey can be seen there," Brock said.
"Thanks for the tip, Brock," Trace said.
"I think we should stop at the Pokémon Center before we go," Kairi suggested.
"Good idea. Our new Pokémon could use a checkup," Roxas said.
"Anyway, it's great seeing you again, Brock," Sora said. Sora noticed Brock was suddenly gone. "Brock?"
"Where did he go?" Elaine asked.
"I think I might have a clue," Sora said.
"Pikachu," Pikachu said.
The group heads for the Pokémon Center and there they saw Brock flirting with not only Nurse Joy, but with as many other young woman there. Roxas, Xion, Ethan, Kris, Lyra, Brendan, May, Chase, Elaine, Trace, Xipak, Celeste, Marill, Volt, and Maple just looked at him, puzzled and dumbfounded.
"That's one thing that hasn't changed," Kairi said.
"What's with him?" Roxas asked.
"Brock has a habit of doing that whenever a pretty girl hits his radar. No surprise he'd be flirting with Nurse Joy," Sora said.
"Well, according to his brother Forrest, he got shot down," Kairi said.
"Leaf and I caught a glimpse of that, too," Ash said. Everyone ended up laughing. Chase and Elaine were caught off guard in seeing Nurse Joy there.
"Say, why are you here in Pewter City?" Chase asked.
"I beg your pardon? I don't think I know you," Nurse Joy said.
"She's not the Nurse Joy we met in Viridian City," Sora said.
"That's right. The Nurse Joy in Viridian City is my little sister. I'm the older Joy," Nurse Joy said.
"Older Joy?" Chase asked.
"Nurse Joy actually comes from a family of nurses; and their names are Joy," Sora said.
"It's actually true. And I have the proof," Nurse Joy said, taking out a photo, showing them all. Chase, Elaine, and Trace were shocked to see it.
"I can see the resemblance," Elaine said.
"If you like, I would love to examine your Pokémon," Nurse Joy said.
"That'll be great," Ash said.
Pikachu, Angel, and the other Pokémon went with Nurse Joy to be examined.
Sora sets his backpack down, unaware of a group of Meltan eating some tools from a nearby toolbox. One Meltan was brushed to the side. The Meltan was starving. The Meltan notices Sora's backpack. Thinking there could be some metal to eat, the little Meltan rushes over to the backpack and climbed inside. Meltan frantically searched for anything metallic, but found nothing. The little Meltan hung its head in defeat. But it like the feeling of Sora's backpack. The Meltan lightly shrieked when it felt its new home being lifted up. Pikachu, Angel, and the others were all healthy and fighting fit.
"Okay, we're off," Sora said.
"Pikachu," Pikachu said.
"Sora, you don't if we go our separate ways for right now, do you?" Ash asked.
"Thought it'd be a good idea to do some patrol around Kanto in case we get attacked by Heartless again," Leaf said.
"And make our party as small as possible," Brendan said.
"I don't have a problem with it, guys. Just keep your eyes opened," Sora said.
"Pikachu," Pikachu said.
"As for me, I think I'll keep my eyes opened for some Pokémon to catch," Trace said.
"And I'm going to see if I could find some Contests to participate in," May said.
"Well, okay. We'll see you around," Kairi said.
With that said, Trace went his own way alone while Ash and Leaf went one way and Ethan, Kris, Lyra, and Marill went another way, and Brendan and May went another way, leaving Sora, Kairi, Roxas, Xion, Chase, Elaine, Pikachu, Angel, Xipak, Celeste, Volt, and Maple heading for Mount Moon.
Sometime later, Sora, Kairi, Roxas, Xion, Chase, Elaine, the Pikachu, and the Eevee made a stop at the foot of Mount Moon for some lunch. Volt, Maple, and the rest of Chase and Elaine's Pokémon enjoyed the Pokémon food Kairi had made for them. The same can be said for the Pokémon caught by Roxas and Xion. Kairi has prepared some curry for the small group.
"Wow, this is very tasty. I was told Kairi was an excellent cook, but it's even better than I thought," Chase said.
"I told you," Sora said.
"I wonder if Xion has those skills, too," Elaine said.
"Just because I came from Kairi doesn't mean I have all her skills," Xion said. Just then, Sora's Rotom Phone begins ringing.
"I better get that," Sora said. He sees it's Karen calling him. He answered it. "Hey, sis. What's up?"
"Sora, glad I reached you," Karen said from her end.
"What's going on at home?" Sora asked.
"Not much. Things have been quiet since you left again, but there's a reason I'm calling you. I saw the news on TV about a Pokémon Hunter out on the loose," Karen said.
"A Pokémon Hunter? Are you sure?" Sora asked.
"Sure as the sky is blue. The Pokémon Hunter was spotted around Mount Moon, so I thought you should know about it," Karen said.
"Thanks for the heads-up, Karen. We'll keep our eyes open," Sora said.
"Great. Also, there's another reason I called you. There was also news about a masked boy around the Kanto region. It could only be Vanitas up to his old tricks again. Your master went to find him and deal with him," Karen said.
"Shouldn't she tell us about it and not you?" Sora asked.
"She didn't have time. She wanted me to let you guys know," Karen said.
"Okay. Pass the info to Ash, Riku, and the others when you can," Sora said.
"You can count on me, Sora," Karen said, breaking contact.
"Had a feeling Vanitas would show his mask around here sooner or later," Sora said.
"The masked kid you told us about," Elaine said.
"Eevee," Maple said.
"Not only that, but a Pokémon Hunter, too," Roxas said.
"Pikachu," Xipak said.
"What's a Pokémon Hunter?" Chase asked.
"A Pokémon Hunter is a poacher. They capture Pokémon in cages and sells them," Sora said.
"Pokémon shouldn't be bought or sold," Elaine said.
"I agree with you, Elaine. It's unforgivable," Kairi said.
"Eevee," Angel said.
"You don't think it has to do with the Cleffa, Clefairy, and Clefable living on Mount Moon, do you?" Roxas asked.
"I'm starting to think it's very likely. And they're Pokémon after all. So they'll be in danger when this Hunter is out on the loose," Sora said.
"What do you suggest, Sora?" Chase asked.
"Keep our eyes opened for the Pokémon Hunter. When we see him, we take him down and turn him over to the police," Sora said.
"What if we see those Heartless, Nobodies, Unversed or maybe Vanitas?" Elaine asked.
"Kairi, Roxas, Xion, and I will handle them. You guys will have to stay back because we don't want you to get hurt," Sora said.
"He's right. We don't want anything to happen to you," Kairi said.
"Eevee," Angel nodded with agreement. Suddenly, rustling his heard. "Vee?"
"You hear something?" Xion asked.
"I hear it," Roxas said.
They assumed it had to be a Heartless, a Nobody, or an Unversed. They had to be ready for anything. What they saw was a Cleffa.
"A Cleffa," Kairi said. The Cleffa hopped over to the group.
"How cute!" Elaine cooed.
"I'll say," Chase said. Roxas took out his Rotom Phone to scan it.

Cleffa are said to form circles and dance as if they are flying on nights when there are many falling stars.
"What's a Cleffa doing here?" Xion asked.
"Maybe it's lost," Chase guessed.
"Doesn't look lost to me," Roxas said.
"Eevee," Celeste said.
"Pikachu," Xipak said.
"Pika," Volt said.
"Maybe she wanted to meet our Pokémon because some of them are rare around here," Kairi said.
"That might make sense," Sora said.
"Pikachu," Pikachu said.
Just then, a Skarmory comes flying down at the Starshape Pokémon. Cleffa hops out of the way.
"Cleffa!" Elaine exclaimed.
"Look!" Roxas said.
"A Skarmory," Kairi said. Chase took out his Rotom Phone and scanned it.
Skarmory, the Armor Bird Pokémon
Type: Steel/Flying
The pointed feathers of these Pokémon are sharper than swords. Skarmory and Corviknight fight viciously over territory.
"What would a Skarmory be doing here?" Sora asked.
"Pika," Pikachu said.
"Is it odd to see a Skarmory around here?" Chase asked.
"Yeah, because Skarmory can't be found in the Kanto region. So it could only mean, it belongs to someone," Sora said.
"Someone like me," a gruff voice said. A small jeep came driving in. "And I'm here for that Cleffa!"
"Is that a Pokémon Hunter?" Elaine asked.
"It is," Sora said.
"We're not going to give Cleffa to you," Roxas said.
"Oh no? That's fine with me. I plan to take Cleffa by force, because I roll by force. Skarmory! Use your Steel Wing!" Skarmory flew at the group.
"Torkoal! Flamethrower!" Sora ordered. Torkoal fired Flamethrower at the Armor Bird Pokémon, making it crash to the ground.
"You're gonna pay for that, punk!" The Pokémon Hunter growled, taking out two Pokéballs and threw them. "Arbok, Seviper! Go!" His Pokéballs opened and the two snake Pokémon emerged from inside. "Arbok, Seviper! Use Poison Fang!" Arbok and Seviper lunged at Torkoal with Poison Fang.
"Togetic! Use Fairy Wind!" Kairi ordered. Togetic flapped his wings and blew Seviper and Arbok back.
"Thanks, Kairi," Sora said.
"I got your back, Sora," Kairi said.
"You're not gonna get away with this! Seviper! Use Sludge Bomb! Arbok! Use Gunk Shot!" The Pokémon Hunter ordered. Arbok and Seviper fired their attacks at their opponents.
"Glaceon! Ice Beam!" Kairi ordered. Glaceon fired Ice Beam, freezing the attacks. "Quilava, Flareon! Use Flamethrower!" Flareon and Quilava fired Flamethrower, hitting Arbok and Seviper. A bunch of Cleffa, Clefairy, and Clefable came and saw the battle taking place. They were looking for the Cleffa that wondered off and they saw the humans and Pokémon protecting their friend.
"I'm going in, too! Volt! Use Double Kick!" Chase ordered.
"Maple! You use Double Kick, too!" Elaine ordered.
Volt and Maple gave Arbok and Seviper a couple of kicks.
"Xipak! Use Electro Ball!" Roxas ordered.
"Celeste! Use Swift!" Xion ordered.
Xipak and Celeste joined in and fired their attacks at the two snake Pokémon.
"I'm not going to let you get away with this! Arbok! Seviper! Hyper Beam!" The Pokémon Hunter ordered. Arbok and Seviper fired Hyper Beam at the group of Pokémon.
"Dragonite! Dragon Pulse!" Sora ordered.
"Ampharos! You use Dragon Pulse, too!" Kairi ordered.
Dragonite and Ampharos fired Dragon Pulse, pushing back the combo Hyper Beam. An explosion occurred. The Pokémon Hunter then took out a steel net and sent it at Cleffa. Sora, Kairi, Roxas, Xion, Chase, Elaine, and the Pokémon saw the net, but the Clefable attacked with a Moonblast, destroying the net.
"What?!" The Pokémon Hunter exclaimed. The Cleffa, Clefairy, and Clefable stood before their friend, protecting her. "Love it when the prize comes right to you rather than go looking for it." He chuckled evilly.
"Cleffa!" All the Cleffa chirped.
"Fairy!" The Clefairy said.
"Fable!" The Clefable said.
The Cleffa, Clefairy, and Clefable swayed their hands back and forth.
"What are they doing?" Chase asked.
"They're using Metronome," Sora said.
"What's Metronome?" Chase asked.
"It's a move that randomly selects a move and then uses it. It literally can be anything," Sora said. Togetic flew in and joined in with Metronome. Togetic, the Cleffa, Clefairy, and Clefable kept swaying their hands until their hands gave off a blue glow. Metronome turns out to be a Fire Blast. The Pokémon Hunter and his Pokémon were struck by the powerful fire attack. "And that was a Fire Blast."
"For a Fire-type move, it was very cool," Chase said.
A few minutes later, Officer Jenny arrived from Pewter City and arrested the Pokémon Hunter. Chase and Elaine were confused about seeing Officer Jenny, but it turns out that the Officer Jenny in Viridian City was her older sister.
"Thank you for capturing this Pokémon Hunter. Now, I just gotta drive to the police station to have him processed," Officer Jenny said.
"We'll let you get to it," Roxas said.
Officer Jenny drove off with her prisoner, giving the group a scowling face.
"Well, we might as well get a move on," Sora said.
"Pikachu," Pikachu said.
"Yeah, and I didn't get to catch a Cleffa," Elaine pouted. Just then, the Cleffa from before showed up. "Huh? It's you."
"Cleffa, Cleffa," Cleffa said.
"You don't think she wants to come with us, do you?" Xion asked.
"Cleffa," Cleffa nodded.
"And I think Cleffa wants you to be her Trainer," Chase said. Elaine turned to Chase.
"You sure?" Elaine asked.
"I'm sure, so go for it," Chase said. Elaine smiled, taking out a Pokéball.
"Come on, Cleffa. Welcome to the group," Elaine said.
"Cleffa!" Cleffa chirped.
Elaine threw the Pokéball and Cleffa flowed inside. Stars swirls around the Pokéball to confirm the catch.
