345. The Saffron Con

Episode 345: The Saffron Con

After the whole giant Caterpie incident, Sora, Kairi, Roxas, Xion, Ash, Leaf, Chase, Elaine, Pikachu ,Angel, Xipak, Celeste, Volt, and Maple have at last arrived to Saffron City.

"We made it," Leaf said.

"Yeah, and the best thing is, there's no Team Rocket to worry about," Ash said.

"Not only that, but a Pokémon Contest is being held here, along with the Pokémon Stadium Cup," Chase said.

"Speaking of the Contest, have you decided which Pokémon you'll be using for the Contest?" Roxas asked.

"I have. I was thinking of using my Chikorita for the first part, and Quilava for the second," Kairi said. She took out her two Pokéballs and let out Chikorita and Quilava. They looked up to their Trainer. "You two are gonna make a debut in a Pokémon Contest. Isn't that great?" Quilava and Chikorita beamed at the thought.

"Sounds like you got it well-planned," Ash said.

"We should drop by at Naminé's house since she lives here," Sora said.

"You're right. We should," Kairi agreed.

"Somehow, I knew you'd be here," a familiar voice said. They turned to see Riku and Eevee.

"Riku," Sora said.

"Hey, Riku. Great seeing you again," Ash said.

"Likewise," Riku said. "I take it that you're here to be part of the Pokémon Stadium Cup, too, huh?"

"You know it," Sora said.

"That's what I thought. Anyway, it's a good thing I found you, because you should know the Master came here to Saffron City not too long ago," Riku said.

"Why would she be here?" Sora asked.

"She saw Vanitas, that's what. Not only that, but Wes, Rui, and Michael came back from the Orre region," Riku said.

"Eevee," Eevee said.

"When did they get here?" Sora asked.

"About some days ago. Master Rei suggested that you come and speak with them if you wanna hear their side of the story," Riku said.

"Don't you think we could put that on hold until after I register for the Contest, you guys?" Kairi asked.

"You're right. We better do that before we forget all about it. The Master wouldn't mind waiting, right?" Sora asked.

"We might as well. She doesn't know we left yet, anyway," Riku said.

"Eevee," Eevee said.

With that said, Sora, Kairi, Riku, Roxas, Xion, Ash, Leaf, Chase, Elaine, Pikachu, Angel, Eevee, Xipak, Celeste, Volt, Maple, Chikorita, and Quilava heads for the Contest hall, and they quickly notice there are other people entering the Saffron City Contest hall. Kairi approached a man holding a Mankey.

"Excuse me, but is the hall opened now?" Kairi asked.

"That's right. It's what they call an opened stage. Contestants can check out the stadium. It helps when you plan your performance," the man said. The line starts to move.

"You think it would help?" Elaine asked.

"I might," Riku said.

They get inside the Contest hall and saw a crew inside. And with one of the staff members, there is a young woman that's a spitting image of Vivian. She wearing a blue outfit which is a crop top and shorts with a white belt around her waist. On her head, she wore a visor. She wore creamish-white stocking and white shoes.

"Okay, the lights come on and do your intro," the director said.

"Wow, this looks amazing," Elaine said.

"Okay, folks, let's run it again from the top, alright?" The manager asked.

"Okay," the young woman said. "Back in the center stage, right?" Sora, Kairi, Riku, Roxas, Xion, Ash, and Leaf were surprised to see her.

"Am I seeing things, or is that Vivian?" Sora asked.

"It's not just you, Kairi, I'm seeing it, too," Sora said.

"Pika," Pikachu said.

"Eevee," Angel said.

"Yeah, but there's something different about her, and I don't mean her outfit," Ash said.

"You know her?" Chase asked.

"Pika?" Volt asked.

"Oh, that's right, you weren't with us when we were in the Hoenn region. Vivian is the announcer of the Pokémon Contests held in the Hoenn region. I didn't know she those here in Kanto, too," Sora said.

"You don't think it's like with Officer Jenny and Nurse Joy, do you?" Roxas asked.

"Honestly, I don't know," Sora said.

"That's! Great! Now, let's check the spotlights!" The manager said. The spotlights come on. "And cue the Pokémon!"

"You got it!" The young woman said, taking out a Pokéball and threw it. "Espeon! Hit the stage!" Her Pokéball opened and her Espeon emerged from inside. The Sun Pokémon makes a dazzling entrance.

"Look at that," Xion said.

"Chikori," Chikorita said at awe.

"Keep it going while we focus the rest of the lights," the manager said.

"Okay," the young woman said. "Espeon! Use your Swift!" Espeon fired Swift. "And now, follow with Psychic!" Espeon uses Psychic to manipulate the stars. The stars forms into hoops. "Espeon! Finish up!" Espeon then jumps through the hoops like a lion jumping through flaming hoops in the circus. Espein does a twirls through the hoops and lands on its feet.

"Wow, that was awesome," Roxas said.

"Pikachu," Xipak said.

"Chiko!" Chikorita began to run to the stage.

"No, Chikorita, come back!" Kairi called out.

"Eevee!" Angel said.

Chikorita came on stage, grabbing the attention of the young woman and her Espeon.

"Hello?" The young woman asked. Chikorita does a Vine Whip jump rope, showing his moves. "That's cute, but what do you think you're doing up here?"

"Chikorita!" Kairi called out as she, Sora, and the rest went up to the stage. "I am so sorry about this. That's my Chikorita. I honestly don't know what's gotten into him."

"No harm done. You'll need to keep him off stage while we're rehearsing," the young woman said.

"Thanks for understanding," Kairi said.

"Well, I think your Chikorita looks like a born performer when he was using that Vine Whip like a jump rope. I'm looking forward in seeing him on stage. I'm assuming you'll be using this little guy in your act tomorrow," the young woman said.

"Yes. Him and my Quilava here," Kairi said, petting her Quilava on the head.

"Lava," Quilava said.

"Again, sorry for interrupting your routine, miss Vivian," Kairi apologized.

"I'm not Vivian," the young woman corrected her.

"Are you sure? We've actually seen you around Hoenn," Leaf pointed out.

"Yeah, and you asked me to be a judge over at the Rubella Town Pokémon Contest that one time," Sora added.

"Oh, you must be thinking of my big sister," the young woman said.

"Big sister?" Xion asked.

"Thinking about it now, there is something different about you," Riku said.

"I know. And the way we dress, you would think that would think that'll be enough, but people still get us confused. Vivian is the MC of Hoenn. I'm Lillian. I'm the MC here in Kanto. It's actually nice to meet you," Lillian explained.

"Likewise," Kairi said.

"Eevee," Angel said.

"Well, we should get a move on and register for the Contest," Kairi said.

"We'll be rooting for you, Kairi," Chase said.

"All the way," Elaine said.

Meanwhile, in Count Ernesh's mansion, a mysterious warrior is training and he wears a black and silver armor with emerald green eyes on the helmet. He held a silver and black Keyblade. The top of the handle has a green orb. The length of the blade has a swooping black and silver tail ending at the top in an open black star and a green orb that make up the teeth. The keychain is three silver diamonds, and the token is a green orb similar to the one on the handle with a yellow diamond on top. This Keyblade shall he known as the Moon Shadow. He is fighting what appeared to be Sora, Kairi, Naminé, Roxas, Xion, Ash, Leaf, Ethan, Kris, Lyra, Brendan, May, Wes, Rui, and Michael. They came at him with their Keyblades, but the warrior rushes at them. He clashed his Keyblade against Lyra's Soul Silver Lugia before overpowering her. He struck her down first. She vanished in a flash of light. Brendan and May casts a combo fire spell, but he uses the Moon Shadow Keyblade to deflect their magic and he slayed Brendan and May, making them vanish. Roxas clashed the Two Become One as Xion clashed her True Light's Flight. He struck them down with a single swing as Leaf came at her. The warrior impaled her back and the Moon Shadow came from behind, but there was light particles instead of blood. Leaf fell to her knees before faded away. Kris casts her music spell, but the warrior unleashed a dark fire spell, striking her. Kris fell on her back before she faded away. Ethan came to avenge her, but he struck him in the head, making Ethan vanish. Naminé rushed at him with her Oathkeeper, but the warrior took her by the wrists and broke them. He slammed her, making her hit the wall before she fades. Sora, Kairi, Ash, Wes, Rui, and Michael came at him. Wes tried to hit him with his two Keyblades, but the warrior knocked the Colosseum of Darkness from his hand and used the Moon Shadow and Colosseum of Darkness to finish him. He casted a quake spell, making Sora, Kairi, Rui, and Michael fell on their knees. He then slammed his Moon Shadow on the ground, creating a volcano. They engulfed in the magma. They faded into bits of light as Rei came in with her Star Cluster. She clashed her Keyblade against the warrior, but he managed to overpower her and struck her down. She fades away into light.

Count Ernesh claps his hands. The warrior bows his head in respect. Count Ernesh had created these duplicates of Rei and most of her apprentices to help train the warrior to be prepared.

"You have grown more powerful than ever, my disciple. You were weak when you were created, and thanks to our efforts, your skills and powers have improved wonderfully," Count Ernesh said.

"Thank you, Master. Are we now ready to reveal ourselves to the Guardians of Kingdom Hearts?" The warrior asked.

"Not yet. You still have to train, but be patient. Our time will come. Until then, we will remain hidden in the shadows a little while longer. Come, Silver Moon. There is something I wish to show you," Count Ernesh said. Both the count and the pupil went to another section of the mansion. Count Ernesh summoned his Keyblade and uses it to unlock a door. Inside it is a dark room. The lights come on. It shows armor and replicas of Keyblades.

"What is all this, Master?" Silver Moon asked.

"This is one of the many rooms I have. Lucius and Kanako have only been here once. What you see are the replicas of armor and Keyblades of warriors who came before us, beginning the Keyblade War. As you may know, many lives were lost, and hearts were consumed by the darkness. It was all in search for the ultimate weapon that is spoken in legend. The X-blade," Count Ernesh said.

"The X-blade?" Silver Moon asked.

"Yes. It was shattered into 20 pieces. 7 of those pieces were of light while 13 were of darkness. Master Xehanort once tried to forge the X-blade, but he has failed to do so," Count Ernesh said. "But we are carrying on what he, himself have began."

"Why is this important, Master?" Silver Moon asked.

"It is to serve as a reminder of what we strive for. The Guardians of Kingdom Hearts are short-minded children. They will never understand since their lights shines far too brightly. And I remind you that you are a being of darkness as you were created to be, my apprentice. The darkness you hold shall make you more powerful than even any Pokémon," Count Ernesh said.

"I get it. I'm not a thing like those wimps, and I won't hold back when I have my chance," Silver Moon said.

Back in Saffron City, it was now Kairi's turn to register for the Saffron City Contest.

"I would like to register for the Pokémon Contest, please," Kairi requested.

"Of course. Do you have a Contest Pass?" The receptionist asked.

"I just have the one for Hoenn, but I don't know if I can use that here," Kairi said.

"Then, you will need to have one of our Kanto Contest Passes. I only need to analyze your Rotom Phone, please," the receptionist requested. Kairi obliged her and had her Rotom Phone anayzed. "There. You are hereby registered for the Saffron City Pokémon Contest." She presents Kairi her Kanto Contest Pass. "And here is your Contest Pass, miss." Kairi takes it. "And here is your Ribbon Case to hold your five Contest Ribbons." She takes it.

"Thank you," Kairi said.

"It's my pleasure. Have a good day and good luck," the receptionist said.

With that said, Kairi took her leave and she rejoined the rest of the group.

"Did it go well, Kairi?" Elaine asked.

"Yeah, it did. I got myself a Contest Pass, so I'm in," Kairi said.

"Excellent. While you were registering, Riku made contact with Naminé, so she's bringing Wes, Rui, Michael, and the Master with her," Ash said.

"Well, I was looking forward in seeing them again, anyway. They did help us defeat Organization XIII after all," Leaf said.

"Anyway, what about you? When are you getting to the Pokémon Stadium Cup?" Kairi asked.

"In a couple of hours. We'll get there as soon as they get here," Riku said.

And the timing couldn't be perfect. Naminé, Wes, Rui, Michael, Rei, and Azurill walked in the Pokémon Center.

"Glad you can make it," Rei said.

"Master Rei," Sora, Kairi, Roxas, Xion, Ash, and Leaf said as they stood up.

"Sit back down. We just need to talk," Rei said. They sat back down. "How was the journey in Kanto, so far?"

"It's going great, Master, if you don't count the Heartless and some Pokémon Hunters we've been dealing with," Sora said.

"And some former Team Rocket members that came after us," Chase said.

"I thought I heard some rumors of former members of Team Rocket roaming around. I figured you would handle them," Rei said.

"Yeah, we did," Sora said. He sets his attention to Wes, Rui, and Michael. "So, how did it go for you in the Orre region?"

"Well, we were given quite the welcome as soon as we got back. We came to Professor Krane's lab and some of the people we met during our time dealing with Team Shadow were surprised to see us. My former boss Gonzap wasn't because he knew we weren't dead at all," Wes explained.

"It felt strange to see everyone had aged on five years while we stayed the same. Being in the realm of darkness can do that to a person," Rui said.

"But, Wes was given a new ride, so it works out for him since he used it to travel from the Orre region to Kanto, since we still have some training with our Keyblades," Michael said.

"And when we got here, we found the Master fighting against Vanitas," Rui said.

"And we know he's gonna show up again," Wes said.

"And we'll be ready for him," Riku said.

"Eevee," Eevee said.

"But, there is one more thing I think you should see," Sora said, taking out Meltan's Pokéball. "Come on out!" His Pokéball opened and Meltan emerged from inside. Riku, Naminé, Wes, Rui, Michael, and Rei were shocked to see Meltan with their own eyes.

"A Meltan. I only heard of them, but I didn't they were real," Wes said.

"Neither did I. Though, it's way smaller than I thought," Michael said.

"How did you come across this Pokémon, Sora?" Rui asked.

"I only found Meltan by accident and I used Meltan in some battles in the Pokémon Stadium Cup," Sora said.

"Talk about amazing," Rei said.

"I hear Meltan eats metal, right?" Naminé asked.

"Yeah, Meltan does eat only metal. It tried to eat my necklace, so we fed it some scrap metal we come across," Sora said.

"Pikachu," Pikachu said.

"Your attention please! Contestant 45! Your Pokémon have passed their checkups and they're being brought out," Nurse Joy announced through the intercom.

"That'll be me," Kairi said. Just before registering for the Pokémon Contest, she had Quilava and Chikorita checked in for a physical. A stretcher is coming out with Quilava and Chikorita on the stretcher. Kairi gasped when she saw who it was. Most of the group also gasped, leaving Chase and Elaine in the dark. "Harley?!"

"Well, if it isn't Kairi! I haven't seen you since the Grand Festival. Rei-Rei, Sora, Riku, Wes, Rui, Mikey, Naminé, Ash, Leaf, Xion, and Roxas, too. Long time no see!" Harley said with a smile.

"Who's this guy?" Chase asked.

"That would be Harley. Like Drew, he's a Pokémon Coordinator we met in the Hoenn region. He's a fierce rival of May's. Don't be fooled by that nice guy act of his, because he's not as nice as he wants you to think," Sora whispered.

"I'll take your word for it," Chase said.

"Let me guess, you're entering Kanto's Contest, too," Kairi said.

"And you guessed correctly. And I have to see, I am seeing a couple of new faces here," Harley said, noticing Chase and Elaine.

"I'm Chase, and this is Volt," Chase introduced.

"And I'm Elaine, and this is Maple," Elaine introduced.

"Vee," Maple said.

"So, where are the rest of your posse? I wonder if May is here, as well. Are they here, too?" Harley asked.

"Yeah. May's elsewhere, in a Pokémon Contest," Xion said.

"What are you doing here? Are you working for the Pokémon Center or something?" Ash asked.

"Not officially. I just volunteer around here to help around here during the Contest," Harley said.

"You volunteered?" Sora asked, feeling skeptical.

"My Cacturne was running a fever, so I brought him here. Nurse Joy was so wonderful to me. And seeing how unselfish and giving she was, made me ashamed of the kind of person I've been. So, I decided to turn over a new leaf, and what way than helping others?" Harley asked.

"What about the Contest?" Naminé asked.

"Azu?" Azurill asked.

"Oh, I'm still entering it. Which reminds me. Have you heard about the rules they have here in Kanto?" Harley asked.

"We know all about it, Harley," Kairi said.

"Oh, is that right?" Harley asked.

"Some of us will be part of the Pokémon Stadium Cup, so it's happening here, too," Chase said.

"Not surprising. Good luck with that," Harley said. Kairi calls back her Quilava and Chikorita. The group took their leave of the Pokémon Center as Harley frowned. "Thank goodness, because I thought they never leave. Little Miss Red Nicey-Nice might have won the Hoenn Grand Festival, but there's no way in hell she's going to win the Kanto one, too. It's a shame I don't get to trounce May like I wanted to, but I got the next best thing. Kairi will fall very hard. I'll make sure to give her such a beating."

The group have made their way to the stadium for the Pokémon Stadium Cup. Sora, Riku, Roxas, Ash, Leaf, Chase, Elaine, Wes, and Michael been rounded up. Sora, Riku, Wes, and Ash were placed in the west wing as Roxas, Leaf, Chase, Elaine, and Michael were placed in the east wing. Sora was paired against Riku in the first battle in the west wing as Michael is paired with Leaf in the first battle in the east wing as Chase is paired with Elaine in the same wing. Ash is paired with Wes in the west wing. Roxas is paired with another Trainer in the east wing.

In the east wing, Leaf and Michael were having a triple battle on the City Field. The referee came to the battlefield to start the battle.

"Trainers! Choose your three Pokémon and begin!" The referee called out. Leaf and Michael each took out three Pokéballs and threw them.

"Nidoqueen, Grumpig, Jynx! Go!" Leaf called out.

"Walrein, Gardevoir, and Ninetales! Go!" Michael called out.

Their Pokéballs opened to reveal their chosen Pokémon from each side.

"Nidoqueen! Body Press on Walrein! Grumpig! Iron Tail on Gardevoir! Jynx! Shadow Ball on Ninetales!" Leaf ordered.

"Dodge it!" Michael called out. Walrein, Gardevoir, and Ninetales managed to dodge the attacks of Leaf's Pokémon. "Gardevoir! Use Psychic on Nidoqueen! Walrein! Ice Beam on Grumpig! Ninetales! Use Flamethrower on Jynx!" Walrein fires Ice Beam onto Grumpig, freezing it. Gardevoir uses Psychic on Nidoqueen as Ninetales fired Flamethrower onto Jynx, dealing some heavy damage.

"Nidoqueen! Use Mega Punch on the ice!" Leaf ordered. Nidoqueen punches the ice, breaking it. Grumpig was shivering from the cold. "Jynx! Use Ice Punch onto Gardevoir!" Jynx's fist emits ice and lands an icy punch and lands an icy punch onto Gardevoir. "Okay, Grumpig! Use Shadow Ball on Gardevoir!" Grumpig unleashed a Shadow Ball onto the Embrace Pokémon. "Nidoqueen! Use Hyper Beam on Walrein!" Nidoqueen unleashed Hyper Beam at the Ice Break Pokémon.

"Gardevoir! Use Psychic on that!" Michael ordered. Gardevoir uses Psychic on Nidoqueen's Hyper Beam. "Send it back!" Gardevoir sends Hyper Beam right back to its owner. Nidoqueen is knocked out.

"Nidoqueen is unable to battle!" The referee announced. Leaf calls her Nidoqueen back and she smiled.

"You battled hard, Nidoqueen. Get yourself a good, long rest," Leaf said. "Grumpig! Use Iron Tail on Gardevoir!"

"Walrein! Use Ice Beam on Grumpig!" Michael ordered. Walrein fired Ice Beam, hitting Grumpig, knocking it out.

"Grumpig is unable to battle!" The referee announced. Leaf called Grumpig back.

"That wasn't bad, Michael," Leaf said.

"Well, I had lots of practice," Michael said.

"The way you battle is all the proof I need. Jynx! Use Blizzard!" Leaf ordered.

"Ninetales! Use Dark Pulse!" Michael ordered. Ninetales unleashed a Dark Pulse and it successfully blocked Jynx's Blizzard. "Walrein! Ice Beam! Gardevoir! Dazzling Gleam!" Walrein and Gardevoir unleashed Ice Beam and Dazzling Gleam, bypassing Jynx's Blizzard and struck the Human Shape Pokémon, resulting in a knockout.

"Jynx is unable to battle! Walrein, Gardevoir, and Ninetales win! The winner is Michael from the Orre region!" The referee announced. Leaf called back her Jynx and approached Michael as he called back his Walrein, Ninetales, and Gardevoir.

"That was a great battle, Michael. You're an awesome Trainer," Leaf said.

"Thanks. You're really awesome, too, Leaf," Michael said.

In the west wing, Sora and Riku were having a double battle and it was going to be on the Grass Field.

"Well, Riku, don't hold back," Sora said.

"I wouldn't dream of it, Sora," Riku said. The referee stepped in to begin the battle.

"Trainers! Choose your first two Pokémon and begin!" The referee called out. Sora and Riku each took two Pokéballs and threw them.

"Go! Pinsir and Arbok!" Sora called out.

"Go! Raticate and Aggron!" Riku called out.

The four Pokémon entered the battlefield, ready to battle.

"Okay, Riku's Raticate is a Dark-type Pokémon, so Pinsir has the advantage, bit the main problem is Aggron since it's a Steel and Rock-type, so Arbok's Poison-type moves will have zero effect on it. Gotta play it smart," Sora said in his thoughts.

"Okay, Raticate! Use your Dark Pulse on Arbok! Aggron! Use Iron Tail on Pinsir!" Riku ordered. Raticate fired Dark Pulse at Arbok while Aggron swings its tail at Arbok.

"Dodge it!" Sora called out. Arbok and Pinsir dodged their attacks. "Pinsir! Use your Storm Throw on Raticate! Arbok! Use Wrap on Aggron!" Arbok begins to wrap his body around Aggron's body while Pinsir grabs the Alolan Mouse Pokémon with his horns and gave it a toss. Raticate had received heavy damage due to its weakness to Fighting-type moves.

"Raticate! Use Super Fang on Arbok!" Riku ordered. Raticate lands a strong bite on Arbok, forcing the Cobra Pokémon to let go. "Aggron! Use Giga Impact!" Aggron charges at Pinsir and Arbok, knocking them both out.

"Arbok and Pinsir are both unable to battle!" The referee called them both back and he took out one Pokéball. He turned to Pikachu.

"You're going in, Pikachu," Sora said.

"Pika," Pikachu said, stepping in. Sora threw his Pokéball.

"Medicham! Go!" Sora called out. Medicham came out to battle. "Medicham! Use Axe Kick on Raticate! Pikachu! Thunderbolt on Aggron!"

"Dodge it!" Riku called out. Medicham prepares to use Axe Kick on Raticate as Pikachu gave Aggron a shock with Thunderbolt. Raticate dodges and Medicham took the damage from the failed move. "Use your Crunch!" Raticate charges at Medicham with Crunch.

"Use Ice Punch!" Sora ordered. Medicham gave Ragicate her icy punch, freezing Raticate on the mark. "Use Axe Kick!" Medicham uses another Axe Kick and it was successful this time as Raticate is now knocked out.

"Raticate is unable to battle!" The referee announced. Riku calls back his Raticate and he turned to Eevee.

"You're up, Eevee," Riku said. Eevee stepped in. "Use Shadow Ball on Medicham!"

"Medicham! Use Detect!" Sora ordered. Medicham uses her Detect to narrowly avoid Eevee's Shadow Ball. "Use Ice Punch!" Medicham rushes at Eevee with Ice Punch.

"Use Shadow Ball again!" Riku ordered. Eevee fired another Shadow Ball, knocking out Medicham.

"Medicham is unable to battle!" The referee announced. Sora calls back his Medicham and he took out a Fast Ball and threw it.

"Go! Ambipom!" Sora called out. Ambipom emerged from inside, ready to battle. "Okay, Ambipom! Use Power-Up Punch on Aggron!" Ambipom lands a Power-Up Punch onto Aggron, knocking it out.

"Aggron is unable to battle!" The referee announced. Riku called Aggron back and he took out his next Pokéball and threw it.

"You're going in, Nidoking!" Riku called out. His Nidoking emerged from inside and ready to battle. Knowing Pikachu's Thunderbolt and Electro Ball will have no effect on Nidoking, he had to focus his attention on Eevee.

"Okay, Pikachu! Use Thunderbolt on Eevee! Ambipom! Use Double Hit on Nidoking!" Sora ordered. Pikachu fired Thunderbolt at Eevee as Ambipom heads for Pikachu.

"I don't think so. Eevee! Dig!" Riku ordered. Eevee digs underground to avoid Pikachu's Thunderbolt. "Okay, Nidoking! Use Megahorn on Ambipom!" Nidoking charges at Ambipom while his horn was glowing light green.

"Dodge and use Swift!" Sora ordered. Ambipom tried to dodge, but Nidoking came too fast for Ambipom to dodge. Eevee then came out of the ground and lands a hit onto Pikachu.

"Eevee! Shadow Ball on Pikachu! Nidoking! Poison Sting on Ambipom!" Riku ordered. Eevee fired Shadow Ball as Nidoking fired Poison Sting. Pikachu is struck by Eevee's Shadow Ball as Ambipom is struck by Nidoking's Poison Sting. Pikachu and Ambipom are both knocked out.

"Pikachu and Ambipom are both unable to battle! Eevee and Nidoking wins! The winner is Riku from Iki Town!" The referee announced. Sora calls Ambipom back and picked up Pikachu.

"You okay, Pikachu?" Sora asked.

"Pika," Pikachu weakly said.

"Don't sweat it, buddy. You battled hard," Sora said. He approached Riku and shook his hand. "That was an awesome battle, Riku."

"I feel the same way, Sora," Riku said.

In the east wing, Roxas is starting his battle with a male Trainer with messy dark blue hair and wore gray clothes. They're having a triple battle on the Ice Field. Roxas has already decided to use in his battle. The referee stepped in to begin the battle.

"Choose your three Pokémon and begin!" The referee called out. Roxas and his opponent each took out three Pokéballs and threw them.

"Machoke, Tangela, and Granbull! Go!" The Trainer called out.

"Bulbasaur, Charmander, Squirtle! Go!" Roxas called out. Their Pokéballs opened and out came their Pokémon to battle.

"Tangela! Use Vine Whip on Squirtle! Machoke! Karate Chop on Charmander! Granbull! Use Fire Fang on Bulbasaur!" The Trainer ordered. Tangela sends out its vines at Squirtle as Machoke comes to deliver a Karate Chop onto Charmander, and Granbull comes to land a burning bite onto Bulbasaur.

"Charmander! Use Flamethrower on Tangela! Squirtle! Water Gun on Granbull! Bulbasaur! Vine Whip on Machoke!" Roxas ordered. Charmander fired a Flamethrower onto the Vine Pokémon as Squirtle fires Water Gun at Granbull, putting out the fire, and Bulbasaur gave Machoke a smack with Vine Whip. "Okay, Bulbasaur and Squirtle! Use Tackle on Machoke and Granbull! Charmander! Use Scratch on Tangela!" Charmander lands a Scratch on Tangela as Bulbasaur and Squirtle tackles Machoke and Granbull. This earned Roxas a triple knockout.

"Machoke, Tangela, and Granbull are unable to battle! Bulbasaur, Charmander, and Squirtle wins! The winner is Roxas from Pallet Town!" The referee announced.

"Way to go, you guys!" Roxas said.

"I don't believe I lost to some kid," the Trainer said in disbelief.

Over in the west wing, Ash and Wes have entered the battlefield and they're having a double battle on the Rock Field. The referee came to start the battle.

"Trainers! Choose your first two Pokémon and begin the battle!" The referee called out. Ash took out two Pokéballs as Wes took out a Pokéball and a Great Ball. They threw them.

"Gengar, Hitmonlee! Go!" Ash called out.

"Sudowoodo, Noctowl! Go!" Wes called out.

Their Pokémon came out to battle.

"Okay, Gengar! Use Shadow Claw on Sudowoodo! Hitmonlee! Use Blaze Kick on Noctowl!" Ash ordered.

"Sudowoodo! Use Rock Slide! Noctowl! Use Fly to dodge!" Wes ordered. Noctowl flew straight up in the air to avoid Hitmonlee's Blaze Kick. Gengar came at Sudowoodo, but the Imitation Pokémon dodged and unleashed Rock Slide, hitting the Shadow Pokémon. "Come on down, Noctowl, and aim for Hitmonlee!" Noctowl flew downwards at the Kicking Pokémon.

"Dodge and use Mega Kick!" Ash ordered. Hitmonlee tried to dodge, but he was hit by Noctowl. "Use Psychic on them both!" Noctowl unleashed Psychic on Gengar and Hitmonlee, knocking them both out.

"Gengar and Hitmonlee are both unable to battle!" The referee announced. Ash called them both back and he took out his next two Pokéballs and threw them.

"Go! Raichu and Steelix!" Ash called out. His Raichu and Steelix emerged from inside, ready to battle. "Raichu! Use Rain Dance!" Raichu summoned a dark gray rain cloud. It begins to rain.

"Noctowl! Fly! Sudowoodo! Use Low Sweep on Steelix!" Wes ordered. Noctowl flew up as Sudowoodo does a low kick attack on the Iron Snake Pokémon.

"Steelix! Use Iron Head on Sudowoodo! Raichu! Thunder on Noctowl!" Ash ordered. Steelix rams its head onto Sudowoodo as Raichu summoned a bolt of lightning, striking Noctowl on the mark, knocking it out.

"Noctowl is unable to battle!" The referee announced. Wes calls back Noctowl and he grinned.

"Not bad, Ash. But you're not the only one who can use the weather to help you out," Wes said, taking out another Pokéball and threw it. "Altaria! Go!" His Pokéball opened and Altaria emerged from inside. "Altaria! Hurricane!" Altaria flapped its wings and blew a powerful wind, blowing at Raichu and Steelix.

"You should know Flying-type attacks won't do much damage on Electric and Steel-type Pokémon," Ash pointed out.

"Yeah, but that was just a warm-up. Altaria! Draco Meteor!" Wes ordered. Altaria unleashed a Draco Meteor. The meteors came down and struck both Raichu and Steelix on the mark. Wes calls back Sudowoodo and took out another Pokéball and threw it. "Quagsire! Go!" His Pokéball opened and Quagsire emerged from inside, ready to battle. "Quagsire! Earthquake!" Quagsire slammed on the ground, making the whole battlefield shake. Raichu and Steelix were both taken down.

"Raichu and Steelix are both unable to battle! Quagsire and Altaria wins! The winner is Wes from the Orre region!" The referee announced. Ash called back his two Pokémon and he walked up to Wes.

"You still got it, Wes," Ash said.

"It's like riding a bike. You never forget," Wes said.

After some battles in the east and west wing, it was now down to Chase and Elaine. They were having a single battle on the Sand Field. The referee stepped out to start the battle.

"Trainers! Choose your first Pokémon and begin the battle!" The referee called out. Chase and Elaine each took out a Pokéball. They threw the Pokéballs.

"Go! Onix!" Chase called out.

"I choose you, Cleffa!" Elaine called out.

Both Onix and Cleffa came out to battle.

"Cleffa is a Fairy-type, so Dragon Breath will have no effect on her. So, here's something else. Onix! Use Bind!" Chase ordered. Onix proceeded to grab Cleffa.

"I don't think so. Cleffa! Use Disarming Voice!" Elaine ordered. Cleffa unleashed Disarming Voice, hitting the Rock Snake Pokémon. "Chilling Water!" Cleffa unleashed Chilling Water, hitting Onix on the mark.

"Onix!" Chase gasped.

"Okay, Cleffa! Use Magical Leaf!" Elaine ordered. Cleffa unleashed Magical Leaf, hitting Onix, resulting in a knockout.

"Onix is unable to battle! Cleffa wins!" The referee announced.

"Way to go, Cleffa!" Elaine cheered.

"Cleffa!" Cleffa said before she started to evolve. Elaine was awestruck to see the sudden evolution. Cleffa had now become a Clefairy before her very eyes.

"You're a Clefairy now," Elaine said, taking out her Rotom Phone and scanned her.

Clefairy are rarely ever seen by humans. On nights of the full moon, a group of Clefairy can be seen dancing. The moonlight they bathe in allows it to float.

"You evolved just from beating Onix, didn't you?" Elaine asked.

"Fairy," Clefairy nodded. Chase calls his Onix back and he took out his next Pokéball and threw it.

"Okay, Zubat! Go!" Chase called out. Zubat came out to battle. "Zubat! Come down at Clefairy with Poison Fang!" Zubat flew at Clefairy with Poison Fang.

"Dodge and use Double Slap!" Elaine ordered. Clefairy dodges Zubat's Poison Fang and gave the Bat Pokémon five Double Slaps.

"Zubat! Supersonic!" Chase ordered. Zubat unleashed Supersonic, confusing Clefairy. "Use Poison Fang!" Zubat rushes at Clefairy and lands a poisonous bite. "Use Air Cutter!" Zubat unleashed Air Cutter, hitting Clefairy on the mark.

"Clefairy is unable to battle! Zubat wins!" The referee announced.

"I knew you could do it, Zubat," Chase said. Elaine calls back her Clefairy and she took out another Pokéball and threw it.

"You're up, Oddish!" Elaine called out. Oddish came out to battle. "Oddish! Use Hidden Power!" Oddish unleashed Hidden Power and it struck Zubat on the mark. "Hidden Power again!" Oddish unleashed another Hidden Power, hitting the Bat Pokémon, knocking it out.

"Zubat is unable to battle! Oddish wins!" The referee announced. Chase called back his Zubat and turned to Volt.

"You're up, Volt," Chase said.

"Pika," Volt said, stepping in.

"Use Quick Attack!" Chase ordered. Volt dashed at Oddish and lands a hit onto the Weed Pokémon.

"Oddish! Use Hidden Power!" Elaine ordered. Oddish unleashed Hidden Power and sends it at the Pikachu.

"Use Double Kick!" Chase ordered. Volt gave Oddish's Hidden Power some kicks, sending the attack back at Oddish. It struck Oddish, resulting in a knockout.

"Oddish is unable to battle! Pikachu wins!" The referee announced. Elaine called back Oddish and she turned to Maple.

"You're up, Maple," Elaine said.

"Eevee," Maple said, stepping in.

"Use Quick Attack!" Elaine ordered.

"You use Quick Attack, too, Volt!" Chase ordered.

Volt and Maple came at each other and they land a hit onto one another.

"Use Thunder Shock!" Chase ordered. Volt fired Thunder Shock at Maple.

"Dodge it!" Elaine called out. Maple dodged Volt's Thunder Shock. "Use Tackle!" Maple charges at Volt and lands a hit onto Volt. "Use Take Down!" Maple charges at Volt, landing a heavy hit. Maple is struck by recoil damage.

"Okay, Volt! Use Thunder Shock!" Chase ordered. Volt fired Thunder Shock at Maple.

"Dodge it, Maple!" Elaine called out. "Tackle!" Maple charges at Volt and lands a hit.

"Double Kick!" Chase ordered. Volt lands a couple of kicks on Maple. The female Eevee tried to get up, but fell back, knocked out.

"Eevee is unable to battle! Pikachu wins! Chase from Pallet Town wins!" The referee announced. Elaine went over to her partner and helped her up.

"You battled hard, Maple. Thank you," Elaine said. She walked up to Chase to congratulate him. "That was a great battle."

"Thanks. You battled hard, too. That training we did with Sora and Kairi paid off," Chase said.

"It sure has," Elaine agreed.

In the west wing, Riku's next opponent is a young woman with brown eyes and shoulder-length dark brown hair. She usually wears a classic v-neck yellow cardigan top buttoned, a white button down shirt, a dark blue pencil skirt, white crew-length socks and white and gray sneakers.

Outside, the Digimon Tamers are outside and they see the young woman on the screen.

"No way! Isn't that Miss Asaji?" Kazu asked.

"Well, she was a Pokémon Trainer before she became a teacher," Henry said.

"Yeah, but she's battling Riku," Jeri said.

"This should be interesting," Ryo said.

They were going to battle on the Grass Field and it is going to be a single battle.

"Hey, good luck to you," Riku said.

"You may not be one of my students, I do appreciate the respect," Miss Asaji said. The referee stepped out to begin the battle.

"Trainers! Choose your first Pokémon and begin!" The referee called out. They each took out a Pokéball. They threw their Pokéballs.

"Time to test you out! Beedrill! Go!" Riku called out.

"Go! Jumpluff!" Miss Asaji called out.

Both Pokémon came out at the same time.

"Okay, Beedrill! Use Twineedle!" Riku ordered. Beedrill charges at Jumpluff with its stingers.

"Dodge it, Jumpluff!" Miss Asaji called out. Jumpluff narrowly avoids Beedrill's Twineedle. "Use Stun Spore!" Jumpluff blew Stun Spore right at the Poison Bee Pokémon.

"Dodge it!" Riku called out. Beedrill flew to avoid Jumpluff's Stun Spore. "Okay, Beedrill! Poison Jab!" Beedrill flew fast at the Cottonweed Pokémon and lands a Poison Jab with its stingers, dealing some heavy damage. "That was awesome! Now, use Aerial Ace!" Beedrill flew right at Jumpluff, landing a knockout.

"Jumpluff is unable to battle! Beedrill wins!" The referee announced.

"Good work, Beedrill," Riku said. Beedrill buzzed from the compliment. Miss Asaji called Jumpluff back and took out another Pokéball and threw it.

"Dustox! Go!" Miss Asaji called out. Her Pokéball opened and a male Dustox came out. "Dustox! Use Psybeam!" Dustox fired Psybeam right at Beedrill.

"Dodge and use Aerial Ace!" Riku ordered. Beedrill managed to dodge Dustox's Psybeam and came at the Poison Moth Pokémon, landing a hit. "Use Twineedle!"

"Dodge and use Silver Wind!" Miss Asaji ordered. Dustox flapped his wings and blew Beedrill in it. "Use Quiver Dance!" Dustox's body begins to glow white. He then starts dancing around the opponent, leaving behind afterimages of himself. This raises Dustox's speed, special attack, and special defense. "Use Psybeam!" Dustox fired Psybeam, landing a heavy hit on the Poison Bee Pokémon. "Use Silver Wind!" Dustox flapped his wings and pushes Beedrill back and ends up being knocked out.

"Beedrill is unable to battle! Dustox wins!" The referee announced. Riku calls Beedrill back and he looked at Eevee.

"Okay, Eevee. You're up," Riku said.

"Vee," Eevee nodded. He steps in the battlefield. Miss Asaji looked at Eevee quite puzzled.

"An Eevee? Why would he send something like that?" Miss Asaji asked herself. "Dustox! Use Silver Wind!"

"Dig!" Riku ordered. Just when Dustox flapped his wings, Eevee dug underground to avoid Dustox's attack. The Poison Moth Pokémon looked around for any signs of the Evolution Pokémon. Eevee then comes out and tackled into Dustox.

"Use Psybeam!" Miss Asaji ordered.

"Dodge and use Shadow Ball!" Riku ordered. Dustox fired Psybeam at Eevee, but he quickly dodged and fired Shadow Ball, landing a hit. Dustox was knocked out by Eevee's Shadow Ball.

"Dustox is unable to battle! Eevee wins!" The referee announced. Miss Asaji called back her Dustox.

"That Eevee isn't just cute, but tough. She took out her next Pokéball and threw it. "Go! Froslass!" Her Pokéball opened and her Froslass emerged from inside.

"Okay, Eevee, come on back," Riku said. Eevee returned to Riku's side and he took out a Pokéball and threw it. "Go for it, Houndoom!" His Houndoom emerged from inside.

"Froslass! Use Icy Wind!" Miss Asaji ordered. Froslass fired Icy Wind at the Dark Pokémon, but it barely even phased it.

"Houndoom! Use Inferno!" Riku ordered. Houndoom spews a stream of purple and blue fire from its mouth and lands a hit onto Froslass, resulting in a burn. "Use Hex!" Houndoom unleashed Hex and it struck Froslass, resulting in a knockout.

"Froslass is unable to battle! Houndoom wins! The winner is Riku from Iki Town!" The referee announced. Riku pets Houndoom.

"Nice job, Houndoom," Riku said. This earned a lick on his hand.

Over in the east wing, Chase is now battling against Roxas on the Water Field. It was now a double battle as Roxas has chosen his team carefully. The referee stepped in.

"Trainers! Choose your first two Pokémon and begin!" The referee called out. Roxas took out a Pokéball and threw it. Chase took out two of his own and threw them.

"Squirtle! Go! Xipak, you go in, too!" Roxas said. Xipak went in the battlefield while his Squirtle came out.

"Pidgey, Paras! Go!" Chase called out. His Pokéballs opened as Pidgey and Paras came out to battle. "Paras! Use Seed Bomb on Squirtle! Pidgey! Wing Attack on Xipak!" Pidgey flew at Xipak with Wing Attack as Paras fired Seed Bomb.

"Dodge it!" Roxas called out. Xipak dodged just by jumping while Squirtle dove in the water. "Xipak! Use Thunderbolt on Pidgey!" Xipak fired Thunderbolt on Pidgey, knocking it out.

"Pidgey is unable to battle!" The referee announced. Chase called back his Pidgey and he took out another Pokéball and threw it.

"Geodude! You're going in!" Chase called out. Geodude came out alongside Paras.

"Clever of you, Chase. Xipak's Thunderbolt would have no effect against Geodude since being a Ground-type Pokémon," Roxas said.

"Thanks, Roxas. And I know Geodude is also opened since Rock and Ground-types are weak against Water-type attacks, but Paras will cover that. Paras! Use Spore on Xipak!" The mushrooms on Paras's back began to rustle as Spore came out.

"Xipak! Get away from that!" Roxas called out. Xipak tried to avoid Paras's Spore, but it came too fast for the Mouse Pokémon to avoid, so he ended up falling asleep under its effect. "Xipak!"

"Great! Geodude! Use Rollout on Xipak while he's asleep!" Chase ordered. Geodude rolls into a ball and plowed right into Xipak, landing a hit. Geodude lands a second hit.

"This is bad. With every hit Geodude lands with Rollout, its power increases. I gotta stop that Geodude before it gets worse. Squirtle! Use Water Gun!" Roxas ordered. Squirtle came out of the water, much to Chase's glee.

"I was hoping you'd do that! Seed Bomb!" Chase ordered. Paras fired Seed Bomb, hitting Squirtle before it could use Water Gun. "Use Fury Swipes!" Paras came at the Tiny Turtle Pokémon, giving it some scratches. "Use Spore on Squirtle!" Paras unleashed another Spore.

"Squirtle! Back in the water! Hurry!" Roxas called out. Squirtle jumped back in the water as quickly as he could. Geodude plowed into Xipak again and again with Rollout. With one more hit, Xipak was knocked out and sent flying into Roxas's arms.

"Pikachu is unable to battle!" The referee announced.

"Xipak, are you okay?" Roxas asked.

"Pika," Xipak said in a daze.

"You battled enough. Get yourself a good rest," Roxas said. He placed Xipak down and took out another Pokéball and threw it. "Okay, Bulbasaur! You're up!" His Pokéball opened and Bulbasaur came out.

"Geodude! Use Rollout again, but aim at Bulbasaur!" Chase ordered.

"Use Vine Whip!" Roxas ordered. Bulbasaur uses Vine Whip to grab Geodude and gave it a toss. Geodude hits the wall, knocked out.

"Geodude is unable to battle!" The referee announced. Chase called back Geodude and he took out another Pokéball and threw it.

"Zubat! Go!" Chase called out. His Pokéball opened and Zubat emerged from inside, ready to battle. "Zubat! Use Air Cutter!" Zubat sends out Air Cutter right at Bulbasaur.

"Dodge and use Razor Leaf!" Roxas ordered. Bulbasaur dodges Zubat's Air Cutter and fired Razor Leaf.

"Dodge and use Supersonic!" Chase ordered. Zubat unleashed Supersonic at Bulbasaur, confusing it. "Use Wing Attack!" Zubat came down and lands a Wing Attack.

"Squirtle! Use Rapid Spin!" Roxas ordered. Squirtle came out and does a Rapid Spin, hitting Zubat. "Again, but on Paras!" Squirtle does a Rapid Spin, hitting Paras on the mark. Paras's Effect Spore ability activates and Squirtle becomes instantly poisoned.

"Use Seed Bomb!" Chase ordered. Paras fired Seed Bomb, hitting Squirtle, knocking it out.

"Squirtle is unable to battle!" The referee announced. Roxas called back Squirtle.

"Great job, Squirtle. Rest up," Roxas said. He begins to think. "Can't use Charmander because of the water. But I have the right Pokémon to literally go above it." He took out his next Pokéball and threw it. "Pidgey! Go!" Roxas threw it as his Pidgey came e out. "Pidgey! Use Gust!" Pidgey flapped its wings and struck Paras, knocking it out.

"Paras is unable to battle!" The referee announced. Chase called back his Paras.

"Okay, Zubat, the rest is up to you," Chase said. Zubat nodded. Bulbasaur shook off its confusion.

"Zubat! Use Wing Attack!" Chase ordered Zubat dove right at Bulbasaur.

"Pidgey! Aerial Ace!" Roxas ordered. Pidgey lands an Aerial Ace onto Zubat, landing a hit. " Bulbasaur! Tackle!" Bulbasaur charges at Zubat, landing a hit. Zubat was knocked out.

"Zubat is unable to battle! Bulbasaur and Pidgey wins! The winner is Roxas from Pallet Town!" The referee announced.

"Good job, you guys!" Roxas said.

"Saur!" Bulbasaur said as Pidgey coos. Pidgey then started to evolve, much to Roxas's surprise.

"Pidgey, you're evolving," Roxas said at awe. Pidgey has become a Pidgeotto before his eyes. "So cool. You're a Pidgeotto, now." The newly evolved Pidgeotto cooed. Roxas approached Chase. "Hey, that was a great battle."

"Thanks, Roxas. You're definitely Sora's Nobody alright. No wonder you're so good," Chase said.

"I wouldn't go that far ahead, Chase. You almost had me. You took down Xipak, and he's my strongest Pokémon," Roxas said.

"Well, I had a blast battling you, Roxas," Chase said.

Over in the west wing, Riku was now having a battle against Wes on the Rock Field after each having their seventh victory. It is going to be a triple battle. The referee stepped out to start the battle.

"Trainers! Choose your three Pokémon and begin!" The referee called out. Riku and Wes each took out three Pokéballs and threw them.

"Okay, Mightyena, Annihilape, Fearow! Come out!" Riku called out.

"Espeon, Umbreon, Typhlosion! Come out!" Wes called out.

Their chosen Pokémon came out to battle.

"Annihilape! Use Rage Fist on Espeon! Mightyena! Crunch on Typhlosion! Fearow! Drill Peck on Umbreon!" Riku ordered. Annihilape came at Epseon with Rage Fist while Mightyena came at Typhlosion with Crunch and Fearow spins around like a drill to land a hit onto Umbreon.

"Typhlosion! Use Flamethrower on Fearow!" Wes ordered. Typhlosion fires a Flamethrower onto Fearow, landing a hit. "Umbreon! Use Dark Pulse on Annihilape!" Umbreon unleashed a Dark Pulse, hitting Annihilape on the mark. "Espeon! Dodge Mightyena's Crunch!" Espeon dodges before Mightyena could land Crunch on him. "Typhlosion! Use Flamethrower again, but aim at Mightyena!" Typhlosion fires Flamethrower, the Bite Pokémon. "Use Psybeam on Annihilape!" Espeon fired Psybeam at the Rage Monkey Pokémon, dealing some heavy damage. "Use Psychic!" Espeon uses Psychic on Annihilape again and sends him back. Annihilape was knocked out.

"Annihilape is unable to battle!" The referee announced. Riku calls back Annihilape.

"Man, Wes is good," Riku said.

"Mightyena is the only threat to Espeon sine he's weak against Dark-type attacks. Umbreon and Typhlosion will have to keep Espeon safe until then. Umbreon! Use Feint Attack on Mightyena!" Umbreon vanished and lands a hit onto Mightyena. "Typhlosion! Flame Charge!" Typhlosion charges at Mightyena, resulting in a knockout.

"Mightyena is unable to battle!" The referee announced. Riku calls his Mightyena back.

"Okay, Fearow, it's all up to you. Use Drill Run on Typhlosion!" Riku ordered. Fearow flew while spinning like a drill. It heads right for the Volcano Pokémon.

"Espeon! Use Psychic!" Wes ordered. Fearow is stopped in its tracks and then sent back Fearow's beak pierces the opposite wall like a dart. Fearow then tries to pull itself out of the wall. Fearow succeeds in getting its beak out.

"Use Aerial Ace!" Riku ordered.

"Espeon! Use Psybeam! Umbreon! Dark Pulse!" Wes ordered. Espeon and Umbreon fired a combo Psybeam and Dark Pulse, hitting the Beak Pokémon. Fearow is now knocked out from the combo attack.

"Fearow is unable to battle! Espeon, Umbreon, and Typhlosion wins! The winner is Wes from the Orre region!" The referee announced. Riku called back his Fearow and he approached Wes to congratulate him.

"That was an intense battle. You were even better than I thought. I can see why those Team Shadow guys had a hard time with you," Riku said.

"You're were good, too. You totally had the right idea," Wes said.

Over to the east wing, Roxas and Michael have each earned their seventh victory and they were now battling each other. It was going to be on the Sand Field and it was going to be a single battle. The referee came out to start the battle.

"Trainers! Choose your first Pokémon and begin!" The referee called out. Roxas and Michael each took out a Pokéball. They both threw their Pokéballs.

"Charmander! Go!" Roxas called out.

"Go! Jolteon!" Michael called out.

Their chosen Pokémon came out to the battlefield.

"Charmander! Use Flamethrower!" Roxas ordered. Charmander fired a Flamethrower at the Lightning Pokémon.

"Jolteon! Dodge it!" Michael called out. Jolteon jumped out of the way of Charmander's Flamethrower. "Use Pin Missile!" Jolteon fired Pin Missile onto Charmander.

"Dodge it, Charmander!" Roxas called out. Charmander ran to avoid Jolteon's Pin Missile.

"Charmander's fast, but there's a move I know Charmander can't avoid. Shock Wave!" Michael ordered. Jolteon fired Shock Wave at Charmander, dealing some heavy damage onto it.

"Hang in there, Charmander!" Roxas said.

"Pikachu," Xipak said.

"Jolteon! Use Thunder Fang!" Michael ordered. Jolteon came at Charmander and landed a Thunder Fang.

"Charmander! Use Fire Fang!" Roxas ordered. Charmander came at Jolteon with a Fire Fang.

"Use Thunder Fang!" Michael ordered. Jolteon came at Charmander with a Thunder Fang before Charmander could land a hit. Charmander ended up flinching. "Use Thunder!" Jolteon unleashed Thunder, hitting Charmander. It ends up knocking him out.

"Charmander is unable to battle! Jolteon wins!" The referee announced. Roxas called back his Charmander.

"You did your best, Charmander," Roxas said. "Okay, Xipak, you're going in." Xipak nodded. He enters the battlefield.

"I should warn you that my Jolteon has Volt Absorb as his ability. So Electric-type moves will only be absorbed and heals Jolteon," Michael said.

"Then, I'll have to use this instead. Use Quick Attack!" Roxas ordered. Xipak ran towards Jolteon with Quick Attack.

"You use Quick Attack, too!" Michael ordered.

Xipak and Jolteon ran into each other, dealing damage on each other. Xipak and Jolteon kept on going and going with their speed attacks. One was not giving the other a break.

"Use Thunder Fang!" Michael ordered.

"Iron Tail!" Roxas ordered. Xipak swings his tail and uses it as a lightning rod. Both Pokémon ends up being damaged from the clash. "Use Quick Attack!"

"Quick Attack, Jolteon!" Michael ordered.

Xipak and Jolteon ran into each other and they clashed against one another. They kept on clashing at each other with Quick Attack right up to when they began panting from exhaustion. Xipak and Jolteon kept on going right until they ended up taking each other out.

"Pikachu and Jolteon are both unable to battle! This round is a draw!" The referee announced. Roxas picked up Xipak as Michael called back his Jolteon.

"You did great, Xipak. You should rest up for now," Roxas said.

"Pikachu," Xipak said.

"You were awesome, Jolteon. Get yourself a good, long rest," Michael said. He took out another and threw it. "Alright, Gardevoir! Go!" Roxas took out a Pokéball and threw it.

"Pidgeotto! Go!" Roxas called out. Pidgeotto came out to battle. "Okay, Pidgeotto! Aerial Ace!" Pidgeotto dashed at Gardevoir with Aerial Ace, landing a hit.

"Gardevoir! Use Psychic!" Michael ordered. Gardevoir uses Psychic on the Bird Pokémon. "Use Moonblast!" Gardevoir unleashed Moonblast and struck Pidgeotto on the mark. Pidgeotto ends up being knocked out.

"Pidgeotto is unable to battle! Gardevoir wins! The winner is Michael from the Orre region!" The referee announced.

"Not bad, Michael," Roxas said, calling back his Pidgeotto.

"Thanks, Roxas. Xipak did his best taking on my Jolteon," Michael said.

"Well, good luck in the final match," Roxas said.

"Thanks," Michael said.

It was now the final round of the Pokémon Stadium Cup held in Saffron City as Wes and Michael are now on the battlefield. They were having a double battle in the City Field. The referee came out to begin the battle.

"Trainers, this is the final battle for today, so I will say choose your first two Pokémon and begin!" The referee called out. Wes and Michael each took out two Pokéballs and threw them.

"Espeon, Umbreon! Go!" Wes called out.

"Jolteon, Ninetales! Go!" Michael called out.

The four Pokémon came out to battle.

"Umbreon! Dark Pulse on Ninetales! Espeon! Psybeam on Jolteon!" Wes ordered. Espeon and Umbreon fired their chosen attacks at their opponents.

"Jolteon! Use Shock Wave to block Espeon's Psybeam! Ninetales! Flamethrower to block Dark Pulse!" Michael ordered. Jolteon and Ninetales fired their attacks to block. They held on right until they exploded. It caused some damage on both teams. "Jolteon! Use Thunder Fang on Umbreon! Ninetales! You use Tail Slap on Espeon!" Ninetales moves in to land a hit onto Espeon while Jolteon charges at Umbreon with Thunder Fang.

"Umbreon! Use Crunch! Espeon! Use Psychic Fangs!" Wes ordered. Espeon dodged Ninetales's Tail Slap and lands a Psychic Fangs on the Fox Pokémon while Umbreon came at Jolteon and they both landed a bite onto each other. "Espeon! Psychic!" Espeon uses Psychic to lift up Ninetales and send the Fox Pokémon flying and result in a knockout.

"Ninetales is unable to battle!" The referee announced. Michael calls back Ninetales and took out another Pokéball and threw it.

"Go! Scyther!" Michael called out. His Scyther came out to battle. "Okay, Scyther! Use Swords Dance, followed by Fury Cutter!" Scyther does a dance as several swords appear and danced all around the Mantis Pokémon. Scyther's attack goes up and then moves to make a cut.

"Dodge it!" Wes called out. Espeon and Umbreon dodged Scyther's attack. Wes called back Umbreon and Espeon and took out two Pokéballs and he threw them. "Feraligatr, Meganium! Go!" His Pokéballs opened and Feraligatr and Meganium came out to battle. "Meganium! Petal Blizzard! Feraligatr! Use Ice Fang on Scyther!" Meganium unleashed Petal Blizzard, sending it at Jolteon and Scyther.

"Dodge it!" Jolteon and Scyther managed to dodge Meganium's Petal Blizzard, but Feraligatr lands an icy bite onto Scyther, dealing some heavy damage. "Use Hydro Pump!" Feraligatr fired Hydro Pump, hitting Scyther, resulting in a knockout.

"Scyther is unable to battle!" The referee announced. Michael called back his Scyther and took out a Pokéball and threw it.

"Walrein! Go!" Michael called out. His Pokéball opened and Walrein came out to battle. "Walrein! Use Ice Fang on Meganium!" Walrein charges at Meganium with an Ice Fang.

"Use Body Press!" Wes ordered. Meganium slammed against Walrein, dealing some heavy damage. Wes calls back Feraligatr and took out Espeon's Pokéball and threw it.

"Espeon! Go!" Wes called out. Espeon came back out to battle. "Use Psychic on Walrein!" Espeon uses Psychic on Walrein and slammed it down.

"Jolteon! Use Shock Wave on Espeon!" Michael ordered. Jolteon unleashed Shock Wave and sends it right at Espeon.

"Use Psychic!" Wes ordered. Espeon uses Psychic on the Shock Wave and sends it straight in the air. "Use Psybeam!" Espeon fired Psybeam, hitting Jolteon, resulting in a confusion. "Use Energy Ball on Walrein!" Meganium fired Energy Ball at Walrein, landing a hit.

"Use Thunder Fang on Meganium!" Michael ordered.

"Espeon! Use Psychic on Jolteon!" Wes ordered. Espeon uses Psychic on the Lightning Pokémon. Espeon sends Jolteon right at Walrein, dealing double the damage. "Petal Blizzard!" Meganium fired Petal Blizzard on both Jolteon and Walrein, resulting in a double knockout.

"Jolteon and are both unable to battle! Espeon and Meganium wins! The winner is Wes from the Orre region!" The referee announced.

And Wes had won this portion of the Pokémon Stadium Cup, so the group came back to the Pokémon Center's messhall to celebrate.

"Congrats on your victory, Wes," Sora said.

"Thanks, Sora. I have to admit, I kinda had a blast in it," Wes said.

"I'm glad you had fun, Wes. Now, it's Kairi's turn to make her Kanto debut in a Pokémon Contest," Rui said.

"I'll do my best," Kairi said.

Unknown to them, Harley was listening on them.

"Oh, your best isn't going to cut it, girlfriend. I'm going to make sure you end up losing," Harley said. After their meal, Kairi and Angel was out having some practice when Harley came to her. "Kairi, I'm so glad I found you here. How are-"

"You can cut the nice guy act, Harley. I know you're only pretending to be nice just so you can jinx me," Kairi said.

"Can't blame me for trying. Just so you know, Red Little Riding Hood, I'm going win that Contest," Harley said.

"We're gonna see about that, Harley. Just don't go crying when you lose," Kairi said. Harley scowled at her.

"The only one who is going to be crying is you," Harley said, taking his leave.

The Saffron City Pokémon Contest is just around the corner, so will Kairi beat Harley and earn her first Kanto Contest Ribbon? Stick around if you wanna find out.
