Episode 347: Pasta La Vista

We open up to when Loki has returned to Count Ernesh's mansion with Kanako waiting for him to come back.

"You were at Saffron City, weren't you?" Kanako asked.

"What makes you think I have been there, Kanako?" Loki asked.

"Don't play innocent with me, Loki! I saw you on TV! You were lucky that the Master was too busy training his newest pupil to notice you being gone, because I don't want to think about how he'll react when he hears you stepped out without him knowing!" Kanako said. "And what was up with that?! Green? Orange? You think I wouldn't see through that ploy?"

"Hey, I had to make it seem believable, didn't I? Luckily, Sora and Kairi didn't recognize me," Loki said.

"Luckily is right, because you were lucky to walk out of your confrontation with them before back in Hollow Bastion. You lost to Sora because you got too full of yourself!" Kanako said.

"I learned from my mistake since then. I just didn't see why the count would care if I've been out. I was just getting bored, and I needed to get the adrenaline back in my system," Loki said.

"Well, you were also lucky that none of them caught on to you in Saffron City, because we can't just show up out of the blue and blow the big surprise before it's time," Kanako said.

"You're making too big a deal out of it, Kanako. Now, if you excuse me, I'm going to my room," Loki said, taking his leave. Kanako just groaned in frustration.

"I just don't get why the Master even bothered to keep him around after what happened," Kanako said to herself. Loki stepped in his room and he begins to read a comic book. He took out a soda can and opened it.

"Nothing like reading your favorite comic book and drinking some soda after a day like mine," Loki said as he sipped his soda and laughed at the contents of the comic book.

Meanwhile, in Saffron City, Kairi holds up her first Kanto Contest Ribbon as Elaine continues to admire it with awe.

"I still can't over how pretty your Ribbon is, Kairi," Elaine said.

"You've said that about fifty times already, Elaine," Chase said in a deadpan tone.

"I thought you're happy for her, Chase," Riku said.

"I am. It's just, Elaine is milking it," Chase said.

"I guess we'll have to find out the next Contest very soon, won't we?" Naminé asked.

"Yeah, we do, and the rest of us can focus on the Pokémon Stadium Cup," Leaf said.

"Sounds like a plan to me," Michael said.

"Before we go, we should check out this noodle place I've been reading about," Xion said, taking out a guidebook and showing the group.

"A noodle restaurant?" Sora asked.

"That's right. And Roxas did promise me to take me there before we left Saffron City, right?" Xion asked in a playful manner. Roxas knew better than try to get out of it, so he had to keep his promise.

"Yeah, I did promise her," Roxas said.

"Well, you two can go and eat, because we're checking out this place," Chase said, showing the group the banner for a dojo in Saffron City.

"A dojo?" Rui asked.

"Oh, yeah, I forgot there was one here in Saffron City," Ash said.

"Yeah, with all the business with Team Rocket at the Sylph Co Building, it completely slipped our minds," Leaf said.

"Well, you guys go and see the dojo if you want, because I think Sora and I will join Roxas and Xion at the noodle restaurant. We'll make it a double date," Kairi said.

"You mean a triple date. Naminé and I will join you, too," Riku said.

"Riku, you're actually turning down a chance to see a Pokémon dojo here in Saffron City?" Naminé teased.

"If you've seen one, you've seen a million of 'em. And I do want to make you happy," Riku said.

"How considerate," Naminé said.

"What about you, Rui? You and Wes in?" Xion asked.

"I'd like to, but I'm curious about the dojo," Rui said.

"You sure, Rui?" Wes asked.

"I'm sure," Rui said.

"Your loss," Xion said.

"But we can meet you at the dojo once we had our lunch," Sora said.

"What about you, Master? What are you going to do?" Michael asked.

"I'll be at the Pokémon Center for a while. My Ampharos caught a bad cold and I want to help anyway I can," Rei said.

"Sure," the Keyblade wielders said.

"Okay, let's go," Chase said.

With that said, the group has split up into two groups. Sora, Kairi, Riku, Naminé, Roxas, Xion, and their partners are heading for the noodle restaurant while Ash, Leaf, Chase, Elaine, Wes, Rui. Michael, Volt, and Maple went off to the dojo.

The couples arrived to the noodle restaurant and there was a long line.

"I take it that this is the place," Sora said.

"You bet your Keyblade, Sora. And you can see why it's popular," Xion said.

"Well, you made the plan, so we'll take your word for it," Riku said.

"Eevee," Eevee said.

"Azu, Azu," Azurill chirped.

"In fact, their most popular dish is called Battle Noodles," Xion said.

"Battle Noodles? Sounds great," Sora said.

"Pikachu," Pikachu said.

Just then, a young woman with red hair and light purple eyes. She wore a pink sleeveless shirt and a short purple skirt. She wore red shoes. She is dragging out a young man with an orange shirt, black pants, and white boots. He also wore a white hat and apron.

"Terri, you know I can't leave. Look at all these customers!" The young man debated.

"What's going on?" Riku asked.

"Your customers are not as important as your family, Kyle, and you're just gonna make a choice between the two!" Terri argued.

"Fine! I already made that choice when it's noodles! So he can forget about it!" Kyle said.

"You know that's not right! Now, come on!" Terri said, pulling him by the wrist.

"Hey! You're crushing my wrist! Ow!" Kyle exclaimed. Some angry customers came out of the restaurant.

"Where's my lunch?! I already paid!" One of the customers yelled.

"Don't tell me you're gonna be closed again today!" Another man yelled.

"Why does that stupid girl always do that to us?" Another man angrily asked.

"She's been nothing but a nuisance!" Another man said.

Roxas was now getting angry over how that girl ruined their lunch date.

"Well, so much for lunch," Sora sighed.

"Well, maybe we could just grab a pizza instead," Riku said.

"Hey, that's not right!" Roxas said.

"Roxas?" Sora asked. He never seen Roxas get so worked up over noodles.

"Pika?" Xipak asked.

"What's with him all of a sudden?" Kairi asked.

"Yeah, you're his girlfriend, Xion," Naminé said.

"Just because I'm in a relationship with him, doesn't mean I know how to read his mind," Xion said.

"Eevee," Angel and Celeste said.

"Azurill," Azurill chirped.

"She can't ruin our lunch date and get away with it! I'm bringing that noodle chef back!" Roxas said.

"Roxas, calm down. It's okay," Riku said.

"Eevee," Eevee said.

"No, it's not okay! Nothing about this is okay! You guys can have your pizza if you want, I am getting that bowl of noodles!" Roxas said, going after Kyle and Terri. Sora, Kairi, Riku, Naminé, Xion, Pikachu, Angel, Xipak, and Celeste went after him.

"I have never seen Roxas get so worked up over noodles before," Sora said.

"If only Axel was here, he would know how to calm him down," Kairi said.

"He'd know what to do," Xion said.

Back at the Pokémon Center, the Digimon Tamers spoke with Rei about going on another journey.

"You going on another journey so soon?" Rei asked.

"Yeah. We decided to take one after watching Kairi beat Harley yesterday and we decided to take part of the Pokémon Stadium Cup, too," Takato said.

"And it turns out Yugi, Tai, Davis, Takuya, and the others are doing it, too," Henry said.

"Have you discussed it with your parents?" Rei asked.

"We did. And they were on board," Takato said.

"Char," Guil said.

"You'll tell that to Sora when you see him, won't you?" Ryo asked.

"Don't worry. I will," Rei said.

Meanwhile, Ash, Leaf, Chase, Elaine, Wes, Rui, Michael, Volt, and Maple arrived to the dojo, and saw how deserted it looked.

"Here's the dojo, but I don't see any Fighting-type Pokémon," Chase said.

"What a bust," Michael said.

"Does that mean we came here for nothing?" Rui asked.

"Maybe we should let whoever is inside know that we're here," Leaf said.

"Good idea, Leaf. It's worth a try," Ash said. He then called out inside. "Hello in there! Is anyone home?!" They then hear the sound of rumbling. They knew it was the sound of running.

"Something's coming this way," Wes said.

"You think it's a Heartless?" Rui asked.

"I don't know, but I think we're gonna find out," Wes said.

Just then, an elderly man wearing a karate garmet came out with a battle cry. He then lands on his barefeet.

"Um, are you-" Chase was cut off.

"I am the owner of this dojo! Master Hamm," the elderly man introduced.

"Nice to meet you," Rui said nervously.

"It's an honor, Master Hamm. My name's Chase. These are Ash, Leaf, Elaine, Michael, Rui, and Wes. The Pikachu is my partner, Volt, and that's Maple. I thought it'll interest you that we're friends with Sora Ketchum," Chase said. Master Hamm flinched when he hears Sora's name.

"Sora Ketchum?! You don't mean the Pokémon League Champion of the Indigo Plateau and the other Pokémon Leagues of the Johto and Hoenn regions, do you?!" Master Hamm exclaimed.

"Yes, and he's the same Pokémon Trainer who shot down Team Rocket once and for all," Chase said proudly.

"Chase!" Ash, Leaf, and Elaine admonished him

"Um, Chase, I don't know if it's a good idea to tell him that; especially when Sora's not even here," Wes said.

"Oh, come on, what's the harm it could do?" Chase asked.

"Famous last words," Elaine said.

"But Ash here made it to second place in the Indigo Plateau," Chase said.

"Second place? That's impressive," Master Hamm, looking at Ash with interest.

"So we thought of checking out your program," Chase said.

"Well, we don't normally accept new students without recommendations. Only the finest Trainers can enter the dojo for Fighting-type Pokémon and you seemed qualified, I have certain standards here. Alright, you're in!" Master Hamm said, pushing Ash forward.

"Whoa! I don't remember signing up for anything!" Ash said.

"Of course, you're a little frightened. That's to be expected at first," Master Hamm said, pushing Ash inside.

"Oh, boy," Leaf groaned.

"I saw that coming and I didn't even use my special gift," Rui said.

"Even Organization XIII wasn't as pushy as him," Wes said.

"Well, we better help him while we can," Elaine said.

"Eevee," Maple said.

"It's a good thing Sora isn't here," Leaf said.

"Pikachu," Volt said.

Once inside, they were given rags to clean the floor.

"Put some elbow grease into it, you loafers! You don't really think a measly effort like that will win any brutal Pokémon battles, do ya?!" Master Hamm exclaimed.

"Funny, I don't remember seeing anything about cleaning the floors when we saw that advertisement!" Ash said.

"Well, it was Chase who got us in this!" Michael said.

"Yeah, he's the one who got us signed up as students in this place!" Elaine said.

"Eevee," Maple said.

"Especially when he mentioned Sora's name and Ash's place in the Indigo Plateau," Leaf said.

"Well, excuse me," Chase sarcastically said.

"Pika," Volt said.

"For the last time, no! I'm not going in there!" Kyle's voice said.

"Please, Kyle. At least talk to him," Terri's voice said.

"What's the use? The old fool won't listen to reason!" Kyle's voice said.

"Don't call your father an old fool!" Terri's voice scolded.

"I can call him whatever I want!" Kyle's voice countered.

"Who's that?" Ash, Leaf, Chase, and Elaine asked.

Terri drags Kyle in the dojo.

"Oh, come on!" Terri said.

"Hey!" Kyle yelped.

"It's about time!" Master Hamm said.

Just then, the rest of the group came in.

"Unhand the noodle chef right now!" Roxas demanded.

"Roxas? Sora? Riku?" Ash asked. The couples turned to see their friends.

"What are you doing?" Riku asked.

"Why don't you ask him," Leaf said, pointing at Chase. Terri looked over at Kairi's way.

"Wait, I know you. You're the girl who won the Pokémon Contest yesterday. And you're the same girl who won the Hoenn Grand Festival," Terri said.

"Yes. Were you at the Contest?" Kairi asked.

"No, I saw you on TV," Terri said. She noticed Ash, Leaf, Chase, Elaine, Wes, Rui, and Michael. "And who do we have here? It looks like we got some new students."

"No!" Ash, Leaf, Elaine, Wes, Rui, and Michael all said.

"They're joining us as full-time students," Master Hamm said.

"Didn't you just hear what we just said? We're not students!" Ash said.

"Then, why are you here?" Terri asked.

"We only came here to check out the dojo, and he has us on our hands and knees, cleaning the floor," Elaine said.

"Master, that's no way to treat visitors and you know it," Terri said.

"What choice do I have when Kyle here still refuses to accept his responsibility?! If he would just do what I ask, everything would be fine," Master Hamm said. Kyle started to approach his father.

"Every single time you asked me to take over the dojo, father, I've given you the same answer. No! And like the old fool that you are, you refuse to accept my answer," Kyle said.

"Old fool, am I?! How dare you speak to your father like that?!" Master Hamm angrily exclaimed.

"If you're going to be stubborn as a Mudbray about it, then it is my right to speak to you however I want!" Kyle said.

"Wait, that's his dad?" Roxas asked.

"You know him?" Leaf asked.

"Yeah. Xion, Sora, Kairi, Naminé, Riku, and I were just there when Terri here took Kyle and ruined our date," Roxas said.

"Take over!" Master Hamm demanded.

"No!" Kyle argued.

"You will!" Master Hamm argued back.

"I refuse!" Kyle argued back.

"Do as I say!" Master Hamm demanded.

"You can't force me to take over!" Kyle said.

"Yes, I can! I am your father!" Master Hamm said.

"I'm not a child anymore!" Kyle said.

"You are MY child!" Master Hamm said.

Both father and son were arguing with each other as Terri just sighed. She turned to the group.

"Sorry that you had to be caught in the middle of this," Terri apologized.

"It's not your fault. We got caught in more messes than we care to count," Sora said.

"Pikachu," Pikachu said.

"My name's Terri and I'm the only student here at the dojo," Terri said.

"My name's Sora and this is my partner, Pikachu," Sora introduced.

"Pikachu," Pikachu said.

"My name's Kairi, but I'm sure you already know that. And this is Angel," Kairi introduced.

"Eevee," Angel said.

"My name's Riku and this Eevee is my partner," Riku introduced.

"Eevee," Eevee said.

"I'm Naminé and this is Azurill," Naminé introduced.

"Azu, Azu," Azurill chirped.

"My name's Ash."

"I'm Leaf."

"My name's Michael."

"Wes."

"My name's Rui."

"I'm Chase and this is Volt," Chase said.

"Pikachu," Volt said.

"My name's Elaine and this is Maple," Elaine introduced.

"Eevee," Maple said.

"My name's Xion, and this is Celeste, and that Pikachu is Xipak," Xion introduced.

"Pikachu," Xipak said.

"Eevee," Celeste said. Xion noticed how quiet Roxas was being.

"Don't be rude and introduce yourself," Xion said.

"Roxas," Roxas reluctantly said.

"So what happened to this place? How is it that you're the only student?" Michael asked.

"Well, if you must know, this place used to have Trainers coming here with Fighting-type Pokémon from all over the world to study here. But things have been taken a bad step ever since Team Rocket came to Saffron City and ruined it for us when they took control of the Sylph Co building. Because of Team Rocket, no one wanted to come here anymore. Master Hamm is about to retire, but Kyle doesn't want to run it. He has a different dream. Kyle is a great noodle chef and he doesn't want to take over the dojo from his father," Terri explained.

"If Kyle won't take over for his old man when he's retiring, that means it'll shut down, doesn't it?" Riku asked.

"I'm afraid so," Terri said.

"That's not good," Chase said.

"You're not the only one who has dreams, you know! I don't plan on running this dojo forever!" Master Hamm argued.

"So, what are these dreams of yours? Tell me," Kyle dared his father.

"Hmph! I'm sure they're nothing you can understand even if I did," Master Hamm said.

"You're just dodging the question again," Kyle said.

"You close that noodle shop and take over this dojo! It's your duty, son!" Master Hamm said.

"I'm not going to run this rickety old shack just to make you happy!" Kyle said.

"How dare you call this dojo rickety! And you will run it! If you don't run it, I'll have to shut it down!" Master Hamm exclaimed.

"You might as well just go ahead and shut it down, because I don't even care if this dojo foes shut down, because I have my own life to live and you need to get it through your thick skull and accept my choice!" Kyle said.

"I made your choice for you a long time ago, you ungrateful boy!" Master Hamm argued.

"That's not for you to decide!" Kyle said.

"Yes, it is!" Master Hamm yelled.

"No, it's not!" Kyle yelled back.

"Yes, it is!" Master Hamm yelled back.

"Not!" Kyle said.

"Is!" Master Hamm said.

"Not!" Kyle said.

"Is!" Master Hamm said.

"Not!" Kyke said.

"Bah! This arguing is pointless! I know how we'll settle it once and for all! You and I will have a Pokémon battle!" Master Hamm proposed. Everyone were shocked when he made that proposition. "Each of us will have to use one Pokémon to battle. And if you lose, you take over the dojo."

"Fine! And if I win, I get to run my noodle restaurant in peace and you must accept it without question and without further argument," Kyle said.

"Agreed!" Master Hamm said.

"What are you two talking about?! That's no way to decide something this important!" Terri said.

"The terms have been made, and it's too late to take it back!" Master Hamm said.

"So, you'll be the referee for the match," Kyle said Terri didn't like this because she knew it wasn't going to end well for them. She didn't like the idea of a father and son using a Pokémon battle to settle an argument.

"This doesn't seem right to me," Rui said.

"Me neither," Wes said.

Both father and son got into positions to their battle.

"Do we have to do it this way?" Terri asked.

"Yes, we do!" Kyle and his father quickly answered in unison.

"Alright then, this Pokémon battle between Master Hamm and Kyle will now begin," Terri said. They each took out one Pokéball.

"Prepare to be defeated! Hitmonlee! Come on out!" Master Hamm shouted, throwing his Pokéball. His Hitmonlee came out to battle.

"Hey, a Hitmonlee," Chase said, taking out his Rotom Phone and scanned him.

Hitmonlee, the Kicking Pokémon

An evolved form of Tyrogue

Type: Fighting

Hitmonlee can extend and contract its spring-like legs at will to kick its opponents from almost any distance.

"Well, in that case! Come on out, Hitmonchan!" Kyle called out as he threw his Pokéball. It opened and a Hitmonchan emerged from inside.

"Cool, so that's a Hitmonchan," Elaine said, taking out her Rotom Phone to scan him.

Hitmonchan, the Punching Pokémon

An evolved form of Tyrogue

Type: Fighting

Hitmonchan specializes with a variety of punch attacks. Its punches can move faster than the human eye.

"Hitmonchan vs Hitmonlee. This is something to beheld," Xion said.

"Well, what do you expect? This is a dojo for Fighting-type Pokémon," Riku said.

"Kyle, you be sure to win," Roxas said.

"Let the battle begin!" Terri called out.

"Hitmonchan! Mach Punch!" Kyle ordered. Hitmonchan dashed at Hitmonlee and lands a strong punch.

"Is that all you got? Hitmonlee! Jump Kick!" Master Hamm ordered, doing a kicking pose, but his back goes out. "Oomph! Ow! My back! That hurt." Everyone all exclaimed in shock when Master Hamm threw his back.

"Master!" Terri exclaimed, running up to him.

"Dad?" Kyle asked.

"What happened?" Wes asked.

"I'm afraid he can't continue," Terri said.

"Of course I can!" Master Hamm retorted.

"It's your back again and it'll just keep getting worse if you keep going," Terri said.

"I have to resolve this conflict with Kyle, once and for all," Master Hamm said with his back breaking again.

"Is that more important than your health?" Terri asked.

"I'd be more than happy to fill in for you, Master Hamm," Chase said.

The group all looked at him, shocked.

"You would?" Master Hamm asked.

"Yeah. I don't have any Fighting-type Pokémon to call my own, so I'd like to give a try when it's alright with you," Chase requested.

"That's the spirit! That's what I expect from one of my students!" Master Hamm said.

"He's not your student," Ash deadpanned.

"I give you my Hitmonlee and you'll battle for all your worth," Master Hamm said.

"What are you talking about, father? This battle holds no purpose at all if I'm battling a replacement and not you!" Kyle said.

"He's completely right," Terri said.

"Then, I'll have to be the one who will step in and battled against Chase?" Roxas suggested. Everyone turned to Roxas with confusion and surprise. Xion was especially surprised.

"You?" Xion asked.

"I'll battle in Kyle's stead," Roxas said.

"Kyle would hate that," Terri objected.

"I'd love that! Great idea!" Kyle said.

"What?!" Terri exclaimed with shock and dismay.

"Thanks a lot, Roxas. Win this with my Hitmonchan, and I'll make you the most delicious noodles you ever had," Kyle said.

"I won't let you down," Roxas said.

"I'm not going easy on you just because you're Sora's brother. Come on, Hitmonlee. We got some training to do," Chase said.

"Hitmonlee!" Hitmonlee said.

"Come on, Hitmonchan. You and I are going to be training, too," Roxas said.

"Monchan," Hitmonchan said. Terri sighed with dismay.

"Why is Roxas getting worked up over those noodles?" Xion asked herself.

Over to Chase, he has Master Hamm's Hitmonlee train with a Hariyama, putting in Arm Thrust.

"Rolling Kick!" Chase ordered. Hitmonlee does a roundhouse kick and lands it right on one of Hariyama's, making the Arm Thrust Pokémon spin around. "High Jump Kick!" Hitmonlee beans a kick into Hariyama, resulting in a knockout. Master Hamm calls back Hariyama and he smiled to himself. "Great job, Hitmonlee."

"Young Chase here is pretty good. If he takes over the dojo for me, I can finally go and pursue my dreams and not worry about Kyle and noodles," Master Hamm said, laughing.

"I thought the reason is to have Kyle take it over for you," Elaine reminded the elderly man.

"Eevee," Maple said.

Over to Roxas, he has Hitmonchan train hard with a Breloom with his punches. Breloom then sprinkles Stun Spore.

"Dodge that, Hitmonchan!" Roxas called out. Hitmonchan dodged Breloom's Stun Spore. Breloom then comes at Hitmonchan with a Sky Uppercut. "You use Sky Uppercut, too!" Hitmonchan came at Breloom with a Sky Uppercut. Hitmonchan came too quick for the Mushroom Pokémon to land a hit. "Mach Punch!" Hitmonchan lands a devastating punch onto Breloom, knocking it out. Kyle called it back. "That was awesome." Kyle approached Roxas.

"You're gonna do fine against Hitmonlee," Kyle said.

"Thanks. It'll take more than whatever Hitmonlee got to scare me off," Roxas said.

"Kyle, wouldn't you rather skip all this and take over the dojo for your dad?" Terri asked.

"We've been over this, Terri. What do I want with a dump like this?" Kyle asked, insulting the dojo again.

"Don't you call this place a dump!" Terri said, defending the dojo. Sora, Kairi, Riku, Naminé, Roxas, and Xion caught wind of it quickly. Kyle soften up a little.

"Hey, I didn't mean it," Kyle said.

"Sorry to snap. I guess I always thought that you and I could run the dojo together someday," Terri said, blushing.

"I knew it. Terri has feelings for Kyle," Kairi said.

"She sure does," Sora agreed.

"Are you okay?" Kyle asked.

"Who me?! Yeah," Terri said.

"You know, it's kinda cute," Kairi cooed.

"Eevee," Angel said.

Roxas looked at the two of them and then over to Xion. He had to win that battle against Hitmonlee no matter what.

A little while later, Roxas and Chase got into position as the two evolved forms of Tyrogue are staring at each other.

"We will now restart this Pokémon battle with Chase taking the place of Master Hamm-" Terri started.

"Chase, I'm counting on you to teach my ungrateful, noodle-loving son a lesson!" Master Hamm said.

"-and Roxas battling in place of Kyle," Terri said.

"Roxas! I need you to win this for me! Don't make me take over this place!" Kyle said.

"That's a lot of pressure on Chase and Roxas," Elaine said.

"Pikachu," Volt said.

"Eevee," Maple said.

"Get ready, Roxas! I'm gonna win this!" Chase said.

"You're gonna have to try very hard, Chase," Roxas said.

"Hitmonlee! Rolling Kick!" Chase ordered. Hitmonlee jumped up in the air.

"Sky Uppercut!" Roxas ordered. Hitmonchan rushed at Hitmonlee with a Sky Uppercut and both Fighting-types took some serious damage from each other.

"He used Sky Uppercut to match the power of Rolling Kick," Master Hamm said.

"He knows the trick with Fighting-type Pokémon is utilizing your opponent's energy," Kyle said.

"That was a good move," Chase said.

"I'm just getting started. Mach Punch!" Roxas ordered. Hitmonchan rushed at Hitmonlee with a Mach Punch.

"Jump Kick!" Chase ordered. Hitmonlee jumped to avoid Hitmonchan's Mach Punch, much to Roxas's surprise. Hitmonlee then lands a strong kick on Hitmonchan.

"Whoa!" Sora exclaimed.

"Pika!" Pikachu said.

"That was amazing. And that was clever. Hitmonlee used Jump Kick not only to dodge, but used as a next attack," Riku said.

"Vee," Eevee said.

"That's the way!" Master Hamm said.

"Counter attack him!" Kyle called out.

"You still good to go, Hitmonchan?" Roxas asked.

"Hitmonchan!" Hitmonchan answered.

"I thought so! Hitmonchan! Comet Punch!" Roxas ordered. Hitmonchan came at Hitmonlee.

"Dodge it!" Chase called out. Hitmonlee tried to dodge, but Hitmonchan came too fast for Hitmonlee to dodge.

"Get up, Hitmonlee!" Chase said.

"Mach Punch!" Roxas ordered. Hitmonchan rushed at Hitmonlee and lands a hit.

"Chase! Keep your guard up!" Master Hamm exclaimed.

"Go, Roxas!" Kyle cheered.

"Wow, Roxas is pretty good with that Hitmonchan," Elaine said.

"What do you expect? He is Sora's Nobody, after all," Leaf said.

"Yeah, but looking at him, I can tell he's really getting serious," Wes said.

"He isn't normally like this," Rui said.

"He really wants those noodles bad," Ash said.

"I think it's more than about noodles," Kairi said.

"Xion is counting on me. Xion is the main reason I won't give up. I am going to make sure my date with Xion goes smoothly and nobody is going to ruin it for me again!" Roxas exclaimed in his thoughts. Chase looked right at Roxas's eyes and he suddenly felt afraid of him.

"What's up with Roxas?" Chase asked. Hitmonlee gets back up on his feet.

"Hitmonchan! Agility!" Roxas ordered. Hitmonchan ran across the battlefield and stopped in front of Hitmonlee.

"What's this?" Chase asked.

"Mach Punch!" Roxas ordered. Hitmonchan prepares to land another punch onto his kicking counterpart.

"Hitmonlee! High Jump Kick!" Chase ordered. Hitmonlee lands a powerful kick, sending Hitmonchan on his face.

"How did he manage to pull off that High Jump Kick?" Kyle asked. Master Hamm just laughed.

"Say goodbye to your noodle shop," Master Hamm gloated.

"This is not over, father! Not unless one of them uses that attack!" Kyle said.

"What attack?" Michael asked.

"But that one is the most powerful attack for your Hitmonchan and my Hitmonlee," Master Hamm said.

"That means it'll be the attack that finally decides this battle one way or the other! As soon as one of them pulls this out!" Kyle said.

"But what is that attack?" Michael asked.

"I think we're about to find out," Naminé said.

"Power-Up Punch!" Roxas and Chase ordered.

Hitmonchan and Hitmonlee came at each other to land the finishing blow when some light arrows shot at the two Pokémon. They jumped back before they hit them.

"What now?" Kyle asked.

"Will this ever end?" Master Hamm asked.

"No, not now!" Roxas exclaimed.

It turns out that the arrows came from the Snipers who came standing on empty space. Along with the Snipers, Dusks, Creepers, Knights, Scholars, Protectors, and Samurais appeared in the dojo.

"It's those white monsters!" Elaine gasped.

"Nobodies!" Sora, Kairi, Riku, Naminé, Roxas, Xion, Ash, Leaf, Wes, Rui, and Michael exclaimed.

"Get out of my dojo, you monster freaks!" Master Hamm demanded. He was about to smack one with his shinai, but a Samurai slashed it as a Knight was about to slash him in half with its axe sword.

"No!" Roxas yelled as he summoned his Keyblade and he rushed at the Nobodies and saved the elderly dojo master by slashing the Knight. "Remember me? You should. Your masters are gone, but I'm still here!" Sora, Kairi, Riku, Naminé, Ash, Leaf, Wes, Rui, and Michael summoned their Keyblades.

"Roxas, we got your back!" Sora said.

"No," Xion said. Everyone looked at her.

"What do you mean no?" Sora asked.

"Roxas looks more than capable of handling them himself, so we should let him," Xion said. Sora looked at Xion and saw how serious she sounded. Sora and the rest had to reluctantly stand down.

The Nobodies engaged Roxas, but he managed to slash his Two Become One through some of the Dusks and Creepers. Terri stepped in and took out a Pokéball and threw it.

"Hitmontop! Go!" Terri called out. Her Hitmontop emerged from inside. "Rapid Spin!" Hitmontop spins around and struck the Snipers. The Scholars opened their books and unleashed fire. "Dodge and use Mega Kick!" Hitmontop lands a kick onto one of the Scholars and destroys it.

"Have a taste of this!" Roxas said, holding his Keyblade up high. He fired a powerful beam of light and it cuts through the Nobodies like a knife cutting through butter. The Protectors proved to be more difficult due to their shields, but he managed to go around them. Roxas slays the last of the Nobodies and dismissed his Keyblade.

But in the aftermath, the Nobodies has done some major damage to the dojo.

"Man, those stupid Nobodies. Now, we'll never know who won the battle," Michael said.

"It was already bad enough with the Organization around," Naminé said.

"It was all for nothing," Master Hamm said, sitting down.

"It sure seems that way," Kyle said. Terri approaches Kyle.

"Kyle, before you go, could you at least explain why making noodles is so important to you?" Terri asked.

"Yeah, it all started with a bowl of noodles my dad made for me when I was a kid," Kyle said. Master Hamm was shocked when he heard him say that. The same can be said for everyone else.

"Seriously?" Rui asked.

"Serious as cancer. They were the best noodles I ever had. I thought someday, I'd make noodles like that, too and have a successful business! But no matter how hard I tried, I could never get mine to taste like my dad's," Kyle said. Master Hamm was very touched when he heard that story.

"I never knew that," Master Hamm said, getting teary eyed.

"And that's why I opened my noodle restaurant, father. I only wanted to cook to prove to myself and to everyone that I can achieve perfection. The same level of perfection you've shown me as possible," Kyle said. Master Hamm stood up.

"So, all this time, that's what all the fuss was about and I didn't realized it? I'm sorry for not seeing it, son. You were right about me, because I have been a stubborn, old fool. I was too focused on the dojo's future, I didn't even catch on that you were running your noodle restaurant all for me," Master Hamm said, realizing his foolishness.

"Father," Kyle said.

"If I knew that from the very beginning, I would have allowed you to your noodle restaurant, because it was all for me. And maybe if you aren't too angry at me, I'm hoping you would let me try some of them," Master Hamm said. Kyle smiled, knowing his father has finally accepted his choice.

"Dad," Kyle said as he got teary eyed and hugged his father, and he hugged his son in return.

"All I want is for you to he happy, my son," Master Hamm said.

"Isn't that sweet?" Xion asked, getting teary eyed.

"Yeah, it sure is," Roxas agreed. He sighed. "Xion, I'm sorry if I have been a stick in the mud when we got here. It was only because I was upset when our date got ruined."

"You don't have to apologize, Roxas," Xion said.

"No, I do, because I'll only feel bad if I don't. You worked hard to make that plan for us, I only wanted to make sure it went down smoothly for us. That's why I volunteered to battle in Kyle's place," Roxas said.

"So, it was all for me?" Xion asked.

"Of course, Xion. I never cared about the noodles. I only cared about spending time with you. And I wanted to make you happy," Roxas said. Xion was touched and she kissed Roxas on the lips.

"So, it wasn't about the noodles at all," Sora said.

"Be honest, Sora, you would have done the same thing," Kairi said.

"Yeah, I would have. I would do anything to see you smile," Sora said. And that comment Kairi smile.

"I hate to interrupt the love feast here, but what about the dojo? If Kyle's not gonna be running it, what will happen?" Michael asked.

"I have an idea," Terri spoke up. Everyone all looked at her. "What if Kyle goes back doing what he loves at the noodle restaurant, and then you leave the running of the dojo to me!" Everyone realized how it all made some perfect sense.

"Oh, wow, Terri," Kyle said.

"That way, the two of you can go and follow your dreams and since my dream is to have a place like this, I'd be happy, too," Terri said.

"You are on go-getter of a girl, Terri, so I hereby grant you this dojo. You can rename it 'Dojo-a-Gogo'!" He laughed.

"That name's a no-go," Wes said, making Rui chuckled.

"But, Master Hamm, you still told anyone what your dream is," Chase said.

"Pikachu," Volt said.

"Yeah, I've been curious about that ever since you brought that up," Leaf said.

"I guess there's no harm in revealing it. You really want to know?" Master Hamm asked.

"Yes, please tell us!" The group all said.

"I'm gonna get myself a cart and travel the world, selling noodles!" Master Hamm admitted, making everyone do a comical expression that says "say what?"

"Okay, press the pause button. You mean, your dream was to sell noodles just like your son?" Riku asked.

"That's right, my silver-haired friend," Master Hamm said.

"Dad! That's great! But before you go, would you make those same noodles one more time?" Kyle requested.

"You got it!" Master Hamm said.

"Master Rei should join us," Naminé said.

"Yeah, she would want to try it out," Kairi agreed.

With that said, the group invited Rei to Kyle's restaurant and she partook in the noodles Master Hamm has prepared for everyone. She tried it out. They all had a taste of it and they all instantly loved it.

"This is the flavor I remember!" Kyle said.

"Thank you for treating us to this meal, Master Hamm. These noodles are delicious," Rei said.

"I'm glad you like it, Ms. Sakura. I'm not about to let my own son beat me in my own noodle game!" Master Hamm said, laughing.

After having their fill of delicious noodles, Sora, Kairi, Riku, Naminé, Roxas, Xion, Ash, Leaf, Chase, Elaine, Michael, Rei, Pikachu, Angel, Eevee, Azurill, Xipak, Celeste, Volt, and Maple took their leave of Saffron City as Wes and Rui went their own path. The group make their own way to more adventures on their way.
