Episode 420: The Rise of Darkrai Part 1
Well, here is the promised Rise of Darkrai arc I have promised you. To those of you who didn't know this, but The Rise of Darkrai is the first of a trilogy in the Pokémon Diamond and Pearl anime, followed by Giratina and the Sky Warrior and Arcues and the Jewel of Life. Anyway, I hope you enjoy this chapter and the next ones afterwards.
We open up in a whole different dimension as a swarm of Unown are fleeing from a clash. A clash between Palkia and Dialga. Light purple and dark blue lightning crashes as they glare at each other.
Meanwhile, in a small room, a young man is reading a diary. He has fair skin, lavenvder hair, and black eyes under a pair of oval-shaped glasses. He wore a white shirt, a green vest, dark brown pants, and brown shoes.
"Two entities that never should have crossed paths in the space-time rift. This ill-fated meeting has brought forth their unbridled wrath, enveloping the city. And as a result, all is collapsing. What could be the true meaning of this horrible nightmare?"
Godey's diary, huh? Wow, what an interesting find!" The young man said, shitting the diary. Dust flew up his face, making him cough. A sudden vibration came and one of his machines picked up some kind of reading, grabbing his attention. The hourglass suddenly fell off the table it was sitting on.
Back with Palkia and Dialga, they continue to stare at each other before they clash against one another. Palkia forms a pink orb and threw it at Dialga. In response, Dialga's eyes glow orange and the diamond on its chest glows blue. The fins behind it grow larger and Dialga opens its mouth, an indigo ball forming in front of it. It then fires an indigo beam from the ball Palkia which creates a pink barrier to protect itself. After the attack has been fired, the fins on its back shrink back to normal size. The pearls on Palkia's shoulders glow pink, its eyes glow orange, and its forearm starts to gather energy, also glowing pink. It then slashes the air and releases a pink crescent-shaped blade of energy from its arm at Dialga.
The two attacks clashed against each other, resulting in an explosion. Dialga fired the same attack again and successfully lands a hit onto Palkia. The pearl on Palkia's right shoulder cracked. Enraged, Palkia unleashed the same attack as before, sending it right at Dialga, but dodged. The two legendary Pokémon continued their conflict against one another.
Back in the young man's room, the hourglass has shattered upon hitting the floor.
Meanwhile, Sora, Kairi, Lucas, Dawn, Wes, Rui, Pikachu, Angel, and Piplup continued to walk down the path, heading for Hearthome City for the Contest and a battle against Fantina.
"You sure it's on the way to Hearthome City, Rui?" Lucas asked.
"That's what the map app on my Rotom Phone says," Rui said.
"Shouldn't we be there by now?" Dawn asked.
"We're actually almost there," Rui said as their destination was straight ahead. "And it's right over that hill." They looked at it with awe and amazement.
"It's beautiful," Kairi said.
"Eevee," Angel said.
"It sure is. I can imagine it being home to some awesome tournaments there," Sora said.
"Pikachu," Pikachu said.
"You've said it. Let's get there!" Lucas said.
They rushed over to the town as fast as they can, but they found it was raised in a mountain, surrounded by a lake.
"Ah, you gotta be kidding," Sora said. Rui looked over the map app and she sighed.
"I think we got off on the wrong shore," Rui said.
"I'm exhausted," Dawn groaned.
"Would you all like a lift?" A woman's voice called out. They looked around, trying to figure out who said that. Pikachu spotted a hot air balloon descending.
"Pika!" Pikachu said. They saw the balloon coming down. It is revealed that a young woman is operating the balloon. She has fair skin, blue eyes, and blonde hair with the tips being darker and puffy. She wore a red-orange dress, a black shirt, a blue neckerchef, a black belt, and red-orange shoes. Riding with her is a Chimchar. "Hi there!"
"Chimchar!" The Chimchar said.
"Hey! Your timing couldn't be perfect," Sora said.
"Chu," Pikachu said.
They boarded the balloon and headed right for Alamos Town. It was way better than having to row a boat across the lake and climbing up or finding another way to reach Alamos Town. She uses her Chimchar to use Flamethrower the same way as a torch navigating the hot air balloon.
"Thanks for the lift, miss," Lucas said.
"It's no problem at all. My name's Alice by the way," Alice introduced herself.
"I'm Sora, and this is my partner, Pikachu," Sora introduced.
"Pika," Pikachu said.
"My name's Kairi, and this is Angel," Kairi introduced.
"Eevee," Angel said.
"I'm Wes."
"My name's Rui."
"I'm Lucas."
"And my name's Dawn, and this is Piplup," Dawn introduced.
"Piplup!" Piplup said.
"I have to tell you, the way you have your Chimchar use Flamethrower to operate the balloon is really something," Sora said.
"Glad you think so, Sora. I work part time as a hot air balloon tour guide, and I spend most of my time as a music student," Alice said, taking out a leaf ans howing her talent. Three Pelipper, a flock of Pidgey, and a Pidgeotto fly next to the balloon. Alice blew into the leaf again. Pidgeotto chirped before on ahead. They were all amazed. "You see, the Pokémon are telling me which way the wind's blowing. Chimchar, that'll be your cue!"
"Chimchar!" Chimchar said, blowing another Flamethrower. Flying by them are three Drifloon and a new Pokémon they definitely never seen before.
It is a Pokémon that has a large, spherical, purple body with the lower quarter of its body being a lighter purple. The colors are separated by a repeated semicircle pattern all around its body. On the top of its head is a puffy, white mass, which closely resembles a cloud. In the center of its body is a large yellow "X" mark, and on either side just above the "X" are its small, red eyes. On the lower portion of its body are four long, thin arms that extend diagonally in four different directions. Its arms are tipped with yellow and have three short points each. The bottom of its body narrows into a short, red extrusion that fans slightly outward. It seems to be holding a satelitte.
"Look at that," Dawn said.
"Hey, those are Drifloon, and that's a Driflim," Lucas said.
"Driflim, huh?" Kairi said, taking out her Rotom Phone to scan it.
Drifblim, the Blimp Pokémon

Type: Ghost/Flying
Drifblim's body is filled with gas that it can generate and release within its body. That allows Drifblim to control the altitude of its drift.
"So that's what Drifloon evolves into," Kairi said.
"Eevee," Angel said.
"So, what's the deal with those towers?" Sora asked.
"They're the Space-Time Towers," Alice said.
"The Space-Time Towers?" Sora asked.
"Pika?" Sora asked.
"The Space-Time Towers were constructed a hundred years ago by the architect Godey," Alice explained. Looking at the towers, Sora, Kairi, Lucas, Dawn, Wes, and Rui looked at the towers and they felt something off of them.
"Did you feel something?" Dawn asked.
"Feel what?" Alice asked.
"Uh, just the breeze from this awesome balloon," Sora said, chuckling nervously and not wanting to give away something he shouldn't. Before Dawn could correct Sora, Rui gave a shush gesture to Dawn, letting her know not to tell too much. Lucas and Dawn understood it. "Anyway, is there anything else you know about the towers, Alice?"
"Of course. The tower on the right represents time, and the tower on the left represents space," Alice said. The Keyblade wielders and Pokémon felt something and a powerful force rocks the balloon.
Meanwhile, the young man has picked it up on his equipment.
"Powerful forces colliding with each other. Something big's going on," the young man said before he ran out of the room to investigate this strange phenomenon.
Back with the balloon, everything has settled down, but everyone was shaken up, knowing it wasn't natural, but they didn't know what could have caused it. It couldn't have been Organization XIII since Xemnas and the other members have been destroyed, and they no longer poses a threat to them, so they figured it had to be something else.
"Is everyone alright?" Alice asked.
"Shaken up, but I think we're fine. What about the rest of you?" Sora asked.
"I'm thinking the same thing, Sora. An idea what it was?" Wes asked.
"I don't know, but I'm glad it's over," Dawn said.
"Piplup," Piplup said.
"It couldn't have been the air current. I'm just sorry you got scared," Alice apologized.
"Don't worry about it. None of us could have known what was about to happen," Kairi said.
"She's right. We're kinda used to this sort of thing," Rui said.
"I'm glad. How about I make it up to you by personally giving you a tour of the town?" Alice offered.
"That'll be great," Lucas said.
Taking Alice up on her offer, they wen on a tour with her, and there were battles going on from left to right. It was a perfect setting for couples like Sora and Kairi and Wes and Rui. They were spotted by three Pokémon Trainers.
One is a young man with fair skin, brown hair, hazel eyes, a white overcoat, a green shirt, blue jeans, and brown shoes. With him is a Torterra.
Another is a young woman with fair skin, red hair, and red eyes. She wore a white shirt, a red vest, black shorts, red stockings, and black boots with red heels.
With her is a bipedal, primate-like Pokémon that is primarily reddish-brown with sections of white fur on its chest, head, and lower legs. Several gold markings adorn its body: swirled, circular ones on its knees and shoulders flame-shaped ones on the back of its hands, and a stripe around its back that forms two swirls on its chest. On top of its head is a large flame, which is never extinguished. Infernape has an orange, rounded muzzle, long, round ears with blue inside, and a red ridge over its eyes. The eyes themselves are blue with yellow sclerae. There are five blue digits on both its feet and hands, and it has a long tail.
And the other is a young man with black hair, forming a beard, and blue eyes. He wore a blue jacket, a light gray shirt, dark gray pants, and white shoes.
With him is a large, navy-blue, penguin-like Pokémon. It has a wide, yellow beak that extends upward into three pointed horns that form a trident-shaped crest bracketing blue eyes. There is a blue marking resembling a crown over its eyes and a white, lacy marking running down its chest. A blue, fin-like projection forms a collar around its throat and runs down the length of its chest and belly. On its back are two raised, gold bumps and a second blue fin that forms its tail. Its yellow feet are webbed with three toes each and its feathers form ruffs above its feet. It has wide, flipper-like wings rimmed with blue along the tips, and three golden claws.
"Hello there," the Trainer with the Torterra greeted.
"Torterra," Torterra said.
"Hey there," Sora greeted back.
"I take it that you're Pokémon Trainers, right?" The young woman asked.
"We all are," Lucas said.
"Great. My name is Maury, and this is Torterra," Maury introduced.
"Torterra," Torterra said.
"I'm Allegra, and this is Infernape," Allegra introduced.
"Infernape!" Infernape said.
"The name's Kai, and this is Empoleon," Kai introduced.
"Empoleon," Empoleon said.
"My name's Sora, and this is Pikachu," Sora introduced.
"Pikachu," Pikachu said.
"My name's Kairi, and this is Angel," Kairi introduced.
"Eevee," Angel said.
"I'm Lucas."
"My name's Dawn, and this is Piplup," Dawn introduced.
"Piplup!" Piplup said.
"I'm Wes."
"And my name's Rui," Rui finished.
"And I'm Alice. I'm giving them a tour of town," Alice said.
"So, what brings you here?" Kai asked.
"We're just passing by," Sora said. He looked right at Infernape as Kairi looked at Empoleon. "Okay, let's see what's the info on Infernape." Sora took out his Rotom Phone and scanned Infernape. Kairi does the same thing and scanned Empoleon.

It tosses its enemies around with agility. It uses all its limbs to fight in its own unique style.

The three horns that extend from its beak attest to its power. The leader has the biggest horns.
"These are the fully evolved forms of Turtwig, Chimchar, and Piplup. We're seeing all three at once," Kairi said.
"If you're interested, we would like to challenge you to a battle. We each use one Pokémon each," Allegra suggested.
"I can take you up on that challenge. I mean, I could use a warm-up for my upcoming Gym battle," Sora said.
"The same for me at the Hearthome City Contest," Kairi said.
"So, you're a Pokémon Coordinator, huh? Kairi?" Kai asked.
"Uh-huh. You see, I already have two Contest Ribbons," Kairi said.
"Well, I'm a Coordinator as well, and I'm planning on winning my next Ribbon, so that makes me and Kairi rivals," Dawn said.
"We'll have you know that the three of us are Coordinators as well," Maury said.
"And this'll be good practice for us, too," Kai said.
Lucas started to face Maury for the battle as Sora was challenging Allegra, and Kairi is facing Kai.
"Okay, let's do this thing," Lucas said, taking out a Pokéball and threw it. "Grotle! Go!" His Pokéball opened and Grotle came out to battle Torterra.
"You should know Grotle is at an evolutionary disadvantage," Maury warned Lucas.
"I know, but I like a challenge," Lucas said.
"I like your spirit, Lucas. Let's do this thing. Torterra! Seed Bomb!" Maury ordered. Torterra fired a Seed Bomb right at Grotle.
"Dodge it!" Grotle ran to avoid Torterra's Seed Bomb, but was struck by the attack. "Use Razor Leaf!" Grotle fired a Razor Leaf and sends it right at Torterra, hitting the Continent Pokémon on the spot. "Razor Leaf again!" Grotle fired another Razor Leaf right at Torterra again.
"Dodge it!" Maury called out. Torterra dodged Grotle's Razor Leaf with great speed despite being large in size. "Use Solar Beam!" Torterra began to build solar energy to fire it. Knowing Solar Beam charges before it fires, Lucas has to act fast.
"Tackle!" Lucas ordered. Grotle charges right at Torterra and lands a Tackle on its evolved form. "Use Bite!" Grotle bit Torterra on one of its front legs and misdirected it Solar Beam and sends it right to the sky. "Razor Leaf!" Grotle fired Razor Leaf right at Torterra.
"Bullet Seed!" Maury ordered. Torterra fired Bullet Seed and blocked Grotle's Razor Leaf. They held the Grass-type attacks. Grotle fired another Razor Leaf and hits Torterra on the face. Torterra has fallen on the ground, beaten. Lucas was pretty surprised yet proud of his Grotle for beating a fully evolved Pokémon like Torterra.
"Way to go, Grotle!" Lucas said.
"Grotle," Grotle said.
"That was impressive, Lucas. You've raised your Grotle well," Maury said.
"Thanks. I noticed that your Torterra is pretty fast, so I was wondering if you could share a secret with me. Because my Turtwig evolved during my Gym battle in Oreburgh City, so how was your Torterra able to move so fast despite a weight problem?" Lucas asked.
"Sure thing, Lucas. I can share," Maury said.
While Maury and Torterra were talking about Grotle's problem with size and weight, Sora was about to be gin his battle aginast Allegra. She was sending out her Infernape to battle, so Sora took out a Pokéball and threw it.
"Okay, Croagunk! You're going in!" Sora called out. His Pokéball opened and Croagunk came out to battle. "Ladies first."
"Thanks for giving me an edge! Infernape! Mach Punch!" Allegra ordered. Infernape dashed at Croagunk to land a punch on the Toxic Mouth Pokémon.
"Dodge and use Poison Jab!" Sora ordered. Croagunk dodges Infernape's Mach Punch and lands a Poison Jab on Infernape's chest. "Use Brick Break!" Croagunk jumped and brings his hand down to land a Brick Break.
"Dodge it!" Allegra ordered. Infernape dodges Croagunk's Brick Break. "Flamethrower!" Infernape fired Flamethrower, sending it right at Croagunk.
"Dodge and use Poison Sting!" Sora ordered. Croagunk dodges Infernape's Flamethrower just by jumping and then fired Poison Sting, poisoning Infernape. "Now, use Venoshock!" Croagunk unleashed Venoshock, hitting Infernape. The Flame Pokémon has taken heavy damage due to its poisoning. Despite its injuries, Infernape was still standing in its feet.
"Close Combat!" Allegra ordered. Infernape rushed right at Croagunk.
"Dodge that!" Sora called out. Croagunk dodges Infernape's Close Combat from left to right. "Keep it up! Use Poison Jab as soon as you get an opening!" Croagunk kept on dodging and dodging right until Croagunk saw an opening and uses his Poison Jab, hitting the Flame Pokémon in the chest again. Infernape ceases to use Close Combat. "Venoshock!" Croagunk fired Venoshock at Infernape, dealing some heavy damage and resulted in a knockout.
"No! Infernape!" Allegra gasped.
"Way to go, Croagunk!" Sora said.
"Cro, Cro, Cro, Cro," Croagunk said. Allegra and Infernape approached Sora and Croagunk.
"That was an impressive battle. That Croagunk of yours is so much tougher than it looks," Allegra said.
"Thanks. Your Infernape's really awesome, too," Sora said as he and Allegra shook hands.
Now it was Kairi and Kai's turn. Kai was sending out his Empoleon out to battle, so Kairi took out a Pokéball and threw it.
"Lopunny! Go!" Kairi called out. The Rabbit Pokémon came out to battle against the Emperor Pokémon.
"Ice Beam!" Kai ordered. Empoleon fired Ice Beam right at Lopunny.
"Dodge and use Double Kick!" Kairi ordered. Lopunny came at Empoleon and lands a couple of kicks.
"Drill Peck!" Kai ordered. Empoleon came at Lopunny with a Drill Peck, ready to drill at her.
"Dodge it and use Triple Axel!" Kairi ordered. Lopunny's legs emits ice and came at Empoleon, landing three kicks on it.
"Metal Claw!" Kai ordered. Empoleon slashed at Lopunny with a Metal Claw. "Use Hydro Pump!" Empoleon fired a Hydro Pump and sends it right at the Rabbit Pokémon.
"Bounce to dodge!" Kairi ordered. Lopunny jumped in the air and then came down at the Emperor Pokémon. "Double Kick!" Lopunny lands a couple of kicks on Empoleon, dealing some heavy damamge. "Use Mega Punch!" Lopunny lands a Mega Punch, sending Empoleon down on the ground. Empoleon was beaten. "That was great, Lopunny!"
"That was amazing. The way you combined Bounce and Double Kick is a sign of how good a Coordinator you are. Well done," Kai said.
"Thanks," Kairi said.
After a series of battles, Alice leads Sora, Kairi, Lucas, Dawn, Wes, Rui, Pikachu, Angel, and Piplup to a beautiful garden. Swimming in the pond are fish Pokémon none of them have ever seen before.
Some of them are small fishlike Pokémon with an ellipsoid body. The bottom half of their bodys are light-blue while the top half are black. A pink stripe runs across either side of their horizontal length. They have small blue pectoral fins, two black oval-shaped dorsal fins, and pink eyes. Their most notable feature are the pair of caudal fins that resemble a pair of blue butterfly wings with pink spots. The bottom lobes on some of their tails fin are bigger than the other's. These Pokémon are known as Finneon.
The other fish Pokémon are fish-like Pokémon with dark blue scales. Their eyes are deep pink, and their faces and eyelids are light blue. They have two pairs of large pectoral fins that resemble butterfly wings. These fins have wavy, light blue markings around the edges, and some of the lower pair are longer than the others. There is a band of light blue running vertically around their bodies. Their tails are long with a deep pink spot at the tip, and they have a pair of light blue pelvic fins. These are Lumineon.
Lucas has gotten some helpful tips from Maury and he plans on putting those into practical use in a little while.
"This has got to be my favorite place in the whole town," Alice said.
"I don't doubt it. It's very beautiful here," Kairi said.
"I agree. It's lovely," Rui said.
The Pokémon saw the Finneon and and Lumineon swimming in the pond peacfully.
"This whole garden was designed by Godey. It is said that this garden is the harmony between humans and Pokémon," Alice said. They looked around and saw some Combee, Yanma, and Yanmega flying around. Then, a Shinx, a Luxio, an Azurill, a Marill, and an Azumarill ran up to them and greeted Alice and the visitors. Pikachu, Angel, Piplup, and Chimchar ran with them to play with them. "I've been playing in this garden ever since I was a little girl, so everyone here is my friend."
"How about we have our friends greet her friends, shall we?" Sora suggested, taking out a Pokéball and threw them. His Lucario, Staravia, Turtwig, Chimchar, Piplup, Croagunk, Cranidos, Shieldon, Gible, Carnivine, and Luxio came out as Kairi has let out her Bibarel, Staravia, Lopunny, Cherrim, Drifloon, Glameow , Pachirisu, Bulbasaur, Torchic, Combee, and her Piplup Tux out as well. Lucas has let out his Chimchar, Staravia, Grotle, Shinx, Zubat, and Aipom. Dawn has let out her Buneary, Pachirisu, and Buizel. Wes has let out Espeon, Umbreon, Sudowoodo, Furret, Hitmontop, and Ampharos came out as Rui let out Plusel.
All of the Pokémon joined in the fun with the garden Pokémon. Piplup, Tux, and Buizel jumped in the water to swim in it. Then, Plant Cloak Burmy and Wormadam came down to greet the visitors.
"This must be a greeting," Wes said.
Over to the Pokémon, Tux is greeted by a Quagsire and three Wooper. Alice led them to a balcony where they could have a view while the Pokémon were playing. Dawn's Piplup spotted some Pecha Berries over at a nearby tree, so he went to pick one, but Kairi's Pachirisu took one, much to his annoyance. He went to grab another one, only for Gible to scarf it down very fast. Dawn's Piplup thought the third time's the charm, but the garden Shinx grabbed the last Pecha Berry and they ended up fighting over it. They came crashing down on the seesaw where Azurill, Marill, Pikachu, and Angel were playing on, but they get knocked off. Azurill and Marill go flying, so Buizel caught Azurill as Azumarill caught Marill, but underneath Dawn's Pachirisu. She unleashed a Discharge, shocking them all. Dawn's Piplup and the garden Shinx kept squabbling over the Pecha Berry and landed right on Buneary, who fires an Ice Beam, freezing Shinx. The frozen Shinx hits Azuarill. Luxio shocks Turtwig, Grotle, Tux, Buizel, and Dawn's Piplup. Hearing the commotion, Dawn's Piplup, along with Tux, Turtwig, Grotle, Buneary, and Buizel ended having a feud with Pikachu, Angel, Alice's Chimchar, Lucario, Espeon, and Umbreon trying to calm them all down.
"Hey, you guys, cut that out right now!" Sora scolded.
"All of you, stand down!" Kairi said.
"Stop fighting!" Dawn added. Alice blew into her leaf again. Hearing the soothing whistling of the leaf, the Pokémon then stopped fighting each other and calmed down. More of the local Pokémon gathered and partook in the listening of the soothing leaf whistle.
"Such a beautiful song," Dawn said.
"My grandmother taught it to me," Alice said.
"Thanks for doing that. It would have been ugly if you hadn't done that," Lucas said.
"You're welcome, Lucas," Alice said.
Just then, a Gallade jumped from tree-to-tree, reaching Alice. He jumped from out of the trees and landed in front of her.
"What is it, Gallade?" Alice asked.
"Gallade, Gal, Gal!" Gallade said.
"What's wrong, Gallade? What happened?" Alice asked. Gallade jumped on top of the stairs and points on.
"I think he wants us to follow him," Kairi said.
"Eevee," Angel said.
Knowing something was up, Sora, Kairi, Lucas, Dawn, Wes, and Rui called back their Pokémon and followed the Blade Pokémon to where he wanted to show her. They see a couple of distorted pillars.
"This is terrible," Alice said.
"What in the name of light did this?" Sora asked.
"It was Darkrai," a voice spoke. They turned to see a young man wearing a soldier's outfit. He wore a red top with a gold sash, white pants, and white boots. He has orange hair nicely done.
"Alberto," Alice said.
"It appears to be some recent sightings in this town," Alberto said.
"Darkrai? As the mythical Pokémon?" Lucas asked.
"The same one who wreaked this havoc," Alberto said.
"Let's see here," Sora said, taking out his Rotom Phone. "Rotom Phone, look up Darkrai for me."
Sora's Rotom Phone complied with him and it shows him the image of a black, shadow-like Pokémon. It has a small head with a white fog-like ghostly plume billowing from its head covering one of its bright blue eyes, with the portion on its face resembling hair. It also has a red spiky growth around its neck. It has skinny arms and long black tatters hanging from its shoulders. It also has black, claw-like hands. It has the slight appearance of an hourglass figure and appears to be wearing an old, ripped cloak.
Darkrai, the Pitch-Black Pokémon
Type: Dark
From the days of ancient Hisui to modern Sinnoh, many folklore surrounds this Pokémon, suggesting Darkrai appears during a moonless night. It is said this Pokémon can cause people to have nightmares.
"A Pokémon that can cause people that make people have nightmares. Now, that's scary," Sora commented, putting his Rotom Phone away.
"I have heard some stories about Darkrai, but I don't think Darkrai could do this," Wes said.
They wondered if a Nobody did this. Before they could wonder about it, they hear rustling in the bushes, alerting everyone.
"You hear that?" Rui asked. Alberto smugly grinned.
"Darkrai," Alberto said, taking out a Pokéball and threw it. Out came a Lickilicki. It sticks out its tongue. "Lickilicky! Hyper Beam!" Lickilicky fred a Hyper Beam in the bushes. They hear a scream in the bushes, knowing that was human. Out of the bushes came the young man from earlier. He was carrying a laptop.
"Now, why did you have to do that for?" The young man asked. He bumped into a nearby tree. His Drifblim hovers down. It was the sae Drifblim from before.
"Tonio!" Alice gasped as she ran up to him. A few moments later, Tonio managed to recover from Lickilicky's Hyper Beam. "Are you okay, Tonio?"
"Hm-hmm," Tonio responded.
"You know each other?" Lucas asked.
"Tonio is a longtime friend I had ever since childhood. He's a scientist," Alice said.
"I've been investigating the space-time abnormality I have detected. Something has happened here," Tonio said. He exaines the pillars, finding it to very odd. "This shouldn't even be possible." A piece of the pillar broke off and hits him on the head. Everyone gasped in concern for Tonio except for Alberto. Alice was especially concerned.
"Don't worry about me. I'm fine, I'm fine," Tonio assured her.
"Alice, you don't have to be so nice to him," Alberto said.
"Alberto," Alice said.
"After all, my dear, you are to be my wife, remember?" Alberto flirted.
(It could happen. Shaw, and monkey Pokémon could come flying out of my butt)
"No way!" Dawn said.
"Is this guy for real?" Sora asked. He then said in his thoughts, "Somehow, this guy reminds me a lot of Gaston from Beauty and the Beast. No one has a big, fat ego like Gaston; or in this case, Alberto."
"No! I have already told you no!" Alice bluntly said, much to Tonio's relief. Kairi caught a glimpse of his smile, knowing he's in love with her. "I'm too young to be thinking about marriage." Alberto wasn't willing to call it quits that easily.
"Please forgive me. This isn't the time or place for that kind of talk. Now that that's done, why don't you come over to my place for a little dinner?" Alberto asked with persistence. Kairi then stepped in.
"The lady said no! There's no way she would be interested in someone like you!" Kairi said.
"Eevee!" Angel agreed.
"Excuse me, young lady, but butt out!" Alberto snapped at her.
"Hey, don't talk to my girlfriend like that, you big jerk!" Sora snapped back.
"You butt out as well!" Alberto snapped at him. Sora wasn't intimidated by him.
"Who is this guy exactly?" Wes asked.
"Baron Alberto," Tonio answered.
"So, Alice, let's get going," Baron Alberto said, attempting to take her by the arm, but she ran toward Tonio, taking him by the arm.
"You see, Tonio's the one I like," Alice said.
"I am?" Tonio asked. Baron Alberto just laughed.
"You have quite a sense of humor, my dear," Baron Alberto said.
Before we end it right here, it turns out Tonio had a crush on Alice ever since they met as children, but Baron Alberto also had his eye on Alice, intending on making her his wife, but he refuses to take no for an answer, because he seems to always get his way, and he would do whatever it takes to get his way.
