Episode 366: All That Glitters is Not Light
Before I get started on this chapter, I thought I'd share that Sora will be facing off against the main villains of the Final Fantasy games. Just I get the Final Fantasy villains out of the way. So, the heroes of the Final Fantasy franchise one through ten would be showing up and I would make it like Dissidia. Also, I'll be calling Terra Brandford Tina. Anyway, enjoy it.
Where we last left off, Sora, Kairi, Pikachu, and Angel have ran into some old rivals. Knowing Sora will be in stiff competition against them as well as his own friends, he knew they will bring out their best, just like he is going to.
Meanwhile, Mateus, Xande, Golbez, Exdeath, Kefka, Sephiroth, Ultimecia, Kuja, and Seymour are watching the couple closely.
"They've grown so much stronger than we originally anticipated. I knew we should have dealt with them while we still had a chance," Golbez said.
"I agree. We have waited for far too long," Ultimecia said.
"They grew to be much of nuisance since they eliminated Organization XIII. We simply cannot wait for Count Ernesh and Insidious to make their move any longer," Exdeath said.
"Oh, does that that what I think it means? Are we finally going to have our fun?" Kefka asked.
"It would appear to be so," Kuja said.
"The Guardians of Kingdom Hearts are only just children. Even with the Organization annihilated, do they present a threat to us?" Seymour asked.
"We mustn't underestimate them. Ganondorf has already made that mistake," Sephiroth said.
"A mistake will not repeat. If we leave them alone any longer, their numbers will keep on growing, and we cannot have that," Xande said.
"Then, we will address this. Their powers have been growing in each passing day, and we cannot wait for Insidious, Count Ernesh, or any of their apprentices to reveal themselves. But before we begin, there is one who has yet joined our group," Emperor Mateus said.
"Are you talking about Garland? You think he'll want to join up with us?" Seymour asked.
"I know so, Seymour. What better way for him to exact his revenge than to slay the bloodline of Zest Ketchum?" Emperor Mateus asked.
"I thought he was dead," Kuja pointed out.
"No, not dead. He is in the realm of darkness as we speak. So, we will release him from his prison and have him join us," Emperor Mateus said as he opened a portal to the realm of darkness. Stepped out of the portal is Garland himself.
"Where am I? Who are you?" Garland asked.
"Greetings, Sir Garland. It was I who summoned you back to the realm of light and freed you from this prison," Mateus said.
"Why?" Garland asked.
"Because we have a proposition for you," Empeor Mateus said.
"What could you have to offer for me?" Garland asked.
"First, it would be your freedom. And second, it would be an opportunity for you to have your revenge against Zest Ketchum's bloodline," Emperor Mateus said. Garland looked right at the evil emperor with a look of hatred for the Ketchum family. He blamed Zest and cursed the Ketchum family with revenge, and he wouldn't rest until every member of the Kethum bloodline was dead.
"I accept," Garland said, not needing further convincing.
"You have made a wise choice, my friend. Wise indeed," Emperor Mateus said. He chuckled evilly. "Now, we must come up with a strategy on how to deal with them."
Back at the Pokémon Center, Sora, Kairi, Pikachu, and Angel were about to leave when Riku, Naminé, Roxas, Xion, Ash, Leaf, Ethan, Kris, Lyra, Brendan, May, Chase, Elaine, Wes, Rui, Michael, Rei, Marill, Volt, and Maple arrived to the Pokémon Center.
"Hey, you guys," Sora said.
"What brings you here?" Kairi asked.
"Well, we got word that Mulberry City is holding a Pokémon Contest there," May said.
"So, Brendan called us up and we got here as fast as we could," Roxas said.
"So, we'll be cheering May on for her fifth Contest win," Leaf said.
"So, you have your fourth Ribbon, May? I'm happy for you," Kairi said.
"Thank you, Kairi. Ethan, Kris, and Lyra told me that you already won your fifth Ribbon, so I'm going to try hard for the both of us. But there's one more thing I wanna bring up," May said.
"Don't even ask, May. You know we'll be there to support you all the way," Sora said.
"I thought as much," May said, giggling.
"Now that everybody's here, let's get the show on the road. Mulberry City isn't too far away," Rei said.
"Too bad you're not going to make it that far," Kefka said, snapping his fingers. Everyone except for Rei then suddenly disappear through a vortex beneath them.
"No!" Rei exclaimed. They all fell downwards to the surface below them.
"Where are we?" Roxas asked.
"I don't know, but it doesn't look like anyplace we ever been to," Ash said.
"Well, this is something we didn't need. Just when I had my next Pokémon Contest!" May exclaimed.
"Well, someone definitely doesn't want us to go any further," Riku said.
"Yeah, but who could it be? It can't be Organization XIII, because they're history," Ethan said.
"If it wasn't those guys, then who could it be?" Chase asked.
"Who indeed?" A voice asked, alarming everyone.
"Who's there?" Riku asked.
Just then, Kuja arrived and he chuckled evilly.
"I'm here if that answers your question. Allow me to introduce myself. My name's Kuja. And I know who you are, Guardians of Kingdom Hearts. I've been looking forward in meeting you for a long time," Kuja said.
"Were you the one who brought us here?" Sora asked.
"I could be. But since you're here, the symphony of your imminent demise can now begin playing. Let's begin with the overture," Kuja said. He unleashes energy orbs right at the group, forcing them to summon their Keyblades.
"Well, here comes the finale!" Xion said.
"I think not!" A familiar voice shouted as a dagger is thrown. They turned to where it came from. Sora was extremely shocked when he saw a familiar knight with his very own eyes.
"No way," Sora said.
"You look surprised to see me. It was difficult to tell how long it has been since time does not exist in the realm of darkness," Garland said.
"There was no way you could have gotten out on your own," Sora said.
"Who is that guy?" Elaine asked.
"Garland. He's that guy Sora fought against in the realm of darkness. He blames Sora's ancestor Zest Ketchum for defeating him," Ethan said.
"And now, I get to exact my revenge on you," Garland said, rushing at Sora, but he blocked with his Kingdom Key. Kairi rushes over to her boyfriend and casts an aero spell, blowing him away.
"Stop trying to kill my boyfriend!" Kairi demanded, casting a crystal fire spell, hitting him.
Just then, a black serpentine dragon came and attacked them.
"Where did that come from?" Michael asked.
"From me," another voice said. Golbez stood before them as the dragon returned to its master. Just then, Xande, Exdeath, Kefka, Sephiroth, Ultimecia, Seymour, and Mateus appeared before them.
"What the?" Sora asked.
"I bid you welcome, Guardians of Kingdom Hearts. I hope you are enjoying your stay here," Emperor Mateus said.
"You're Emperor Mateus. It can't be you! There's no way! My ancestor, Sir Aaron defeated you!" Sora said.
"That he did, but I have arrived to this world along with my allies here. And we have prepared a proper welcome for you all," Emperor said.
"Gee, wish we can say we're flattered," Wes said.
"We're not gonna let you have your way!" Kris said.
"You have no say in this one, little girl," Kefka said.
"So, we will make certain you never leave here alive," Xande said.
"Oh, this isn't good," Lyra said.
"Marill," Marill said.
"Well, they made a mistake by bringing us here," Brendan said.
"So, let's make them regret it," Sora said.
They engaged the villains. Sora sets his attention onto Mateus. He jumped to strike him down, but Mateus unleashed a powerful thunder spell, hitting Sora. Kairi came at Xande, but he casts a blizzard spell, but Kairi casts a reflect spell to block it. Golbez came at Ethan, so he reaches for him, but Kris casts a music spell, hitting Golbez on the mark. Seymour casts a water spell, pushing Ethan in it. Lyra casts a thunder spell at Seymour, but she misses him.
"You're going have to do better than that," Seymour said as he unleashed a thunder spell, hitting Lyra.
Kuja does the same, hitting Ash and Leaf. Roxas, Brendan, Chase, Elaine, Wes, Rui, and Michael rushes at Ultimecia with their Keyblades.
"Holy!" Ultimecia shouted. Shining light comes forward and pushes them back. Kefka unleashes thunder, hitting everyone. Sephiroth clashes his sword against Riku's Braveheart, but due to him an experienced swordsman, he was able to easily overwhelm Riku.
"Did you truly believe you were a match for me?" Sephiroth asked.
"I won't give up that easily," Riku said.
"I suppose not," Sephiroth said. Naminé came for him, but Sephiroth gave Naminé a punch, sending her back.
They proved to be strong opponents as the Keyblade wielders were backed up into a corner.
"This is bad. We're no match for them," Naminé said.
"I guess this is the part where our lives starts flashing before our eyes," Michael said.
"At least we went with a fight," Wes said.
"Wes," Rui said.
Just when the villains were about to finish them off, a mist dragon appeared and blew a strong mist at them. It even blew the black dragon and make it vanish into the shadows.
"My dragon, destroyed by mist?" Golbez asked.
"What just happened?" Sora asked.
Just then, a warm light shines on them, healing them of their injuries.
"You're alright, now," a female voice spoke.
Coming to their aid is a band of people.
One is a young man with long silver hair tied in a ponytail and covered by a blue, orange, and yellow bandana, and he has brown eyes. He wears lightweight red, orange, and yellow armor with blue bracers and shinguards.
Another is a boy has long silver hair and violet eyes. His Freelancer outfit is a light purple turtleneck covered by a dark violet sweatshirt and a sienna vest. He wears brown gloves, long light gray pants, black knee-high boots, and carries a light brown fanny pack. His theme color is purple, shown in his job armor, while his turtleneck collar is visible while robe-clad.
Another is a young man who wore a blue and white armor. He has shoulder-length white hair, blue eyes, pale skin, and a tinge of purple on his lips.
Another is a young man with brown hair, and brown eyes. He is wearing a blue tunic, white shirt and trousers, and a red cape.
Another is a young woman with long green hair tied in a ponytail, a red dress with a purple or pink sash around her waist, red boots, and red bracers.
Another is a young man with a lean and toned build, and spiky blond hair. He wore indigo pants with a sleeveless shirt and a belt. Cloud also wears brown boots, gauntlets with a pauldron over his left shoulder and a band in his right wrist.
Another is a male teenager with unruly brown hair and light blue eyes. He wore a v-neck white shirt and a black leather bomber jacket with a fur trim collar. He wore black leather gloves, black pants with three interconnecting red belts, and black boots. He wears a pendant on a silver chain necklace, wears a matching ring, and sports a charm.
Another has layered blond hair tied into a short ponytail. He has teal blue eyes and a prehensile monkey-like tail. He wears a white sleeveless shirt under a short teal vest topped with leather accents at the shoulders and back, while the front has a lacy white jabot topped with a green ribbon tied in a bow. He wears blue jodhpur pants, a tan belt, light green gloves with large blue cuffs, and a pair of light green and white cuffed ankle boots with a low heel. He sports a brown sheath on his left hip for his dagger.
And finally, another is a young man who has disheveled blond hair with spiky layers. He wears the logo of a sports team, as a silver pendant, and the logo is also printed on his right trouser-leg. He puts his own flair on the outfit by having one shorter and one longer trouser-leg, who wore a sash on his right side over a pair of shorts. He wore yellow and black shoes, a gauntlet on his left hand and a black glove on the other, a yellow jacket with a white hood, and a blue pauldron and armor over his left arm. The dark dungaree-type outfit he wears over his other clothes is fastened with a black belt that has a metal chain.
"Picking a fight with some kids isn't something you do what you want," the young man with the spiky blonde hair said, holding a large broadsword.
"Luneth, Bartz! Give us some cover!" The first young man said. The ones called Luneth and Bartz put what seems like a ninja outfit and they took out some smoke bombs and threw them down. "Come on!" Not needing to be told again, the group complied with their rescuers and ran off. Mateus blew the smoke away and saw they were gone.
"Oh, poo! I wanted to see them suffer," Kefka pouted.
"It appears they were prepared for us to bring them here," Emperor Mateus said.
"I agree. But there would be no place in this world they will be safe," Golbez said.
Over to the group, they arrived to what seems to be a sanctuary of some kind.
"We don't know who you guys are, but thanks for the save," Chase said.
"Pikachu," Volt said.
"We did what we had to do," the first boy said.
"Besides, we couldn't let those jerks do you in," the monkey-tailed boy said. He then eyes Rui and started to flirt with her. "Hey, aren't you a cutie? What's your name?" Wes was feeling jealous when he was hitting on his girlfriend.
"If you wanna keep that tail, you'll keep your paws to yourself," Wes said.
"You wanna try your luck, I'll be more than happy to oblige," the monkey-tailed boy said.
"Don't even try it, Zidane," the man in the white armor said.
"Sorry about him. As you can see, he likes pretty girls," the blonde in yellow said.
"We figured that," Sora, Kairi, Riku, Naminé, Roxas, Xion, Ash, Leaf, Ethan, Kris, Lyra, Brendan, May, Chase, Elaine, Wes, Rui, and Michael said in unison. Sora looked at the first young man.
"Wait, aren't you Firion? You're a hero where I come from," Sora said.
"A hero? Me?" Firion asked.
"Yeah. You fought in the rebellion against the Palamecian Empire for freedom. You fought alongside Sir Aaron, my ancestor," Sora said.
"I figured you were related to him when I saw you," Firion said.
"And we know who you are. Sora, Kairi, Roxas, Riku, Naminé, Xion, Ash, Ethan, Brendan, Chase, Elaine, May, Kris, Lyra, Leaf, Wes, Michael, and Rui. We heard all about you," Luneth said. "The guy with the monkey tail is Zidane, the guy with that huge sword is Cloud. The guy with the Gunblade is Squall. The guy in yellow is Tidus, the girl is Tina. The guy in the white armor is Cecil, this guy here is Bartz, and I'm Luneth."
"Nice to meet you," Sora said.
"You to tell us, you know all about us? How do you know?" Kris said.
"We herd all about your exploits. We heard all about how you defeated Ganondorf, Xehanort's Heartless, ExDark, Seth, Organization XIII, the Dark Masters, and the Demon Lords. Not bad for a bunch of kids," Zidane said.
"We also know about how Wes and Michael stopped the whole Shadow Pokemon plot on two separate occasions," Luneth said.
"You are quite famous in this world," Cecil said.
"I guess we're famous everywhere we go, huh?" Ash asked.
"Seems like it to me," Leaf said.
"Anyway, what was the deal with those other guys? The ones who were with Emperor Mateus and Garland?" Sora asked.
"Your questions will be answered," a voice said. Only Ash recognized the voice. As everyone looked around, Fusoya approached them all. Ash was surprised to see him. He recognized him from his visions. "I am Fusoya. I am the guardian of this realm. I have always known a new generation of Keyblade wielders would one day come."
"You knew we would be here?" Sora asked.
"Yes. You see, long ago, Emperor Mateus was defeated by the knight named Sir Aaron and brought peace to the world, but Emperor Mateus was not dead. He was banished into this realm along with those who either sought to rule or to destroy. Garland who Zest Ketchum has defeated, was liberated by Mateus. He intends to finish what he began so long ago," Fusoya explained.
"What you're saying is, we're the only ones that are in their way," Riku said.
"Yes. So, I brought those who value life and justice above all else, so I brought them here, along with many other beings," Fusoya as many brings began to come.
One is a young woman who has pale skin, purple eyes, and long purple hair. She wears an asymmetrical halter top with the left side exposed, leggings, and bracers on her wrists, all in different shades of purple. Around her neck, she wears a brooch with a green jewel and sheer cloth which holds up her top and a gold cup worn on her left breast. She wears gold sandals with low heels and purple straps, but in some illustrations, she wears purple boots instead. She also wears various gold bands on her left arm and a quiver of arrows attached to a belt around her waist.
Another is a very muscular man with tanned skin, brown eyes, and short brown hair. He wears a spiked blue cap, a light green breastplate that exposes his midriff and has leather straps attached to a blue belt with a gold buckle, blue briefs, purple braces and bands around his biceps, blue boots, and a purple cape. He also has a scabbard with a large sword on his waist.
Another is a short boy with brown hair and freckles. His outfit consists of a yellow shirt covered by a long green coat, a white mantle, and a yellow scarf. He wears fingerless gloves, fitted black pants, and brown knee-high boots. His theme color is green, while his scarf is visible when robe-clad.
Another is a girl who has red hair and red eyes. Her outfit is a white long-sleeved blouse with a blue vest, black leggings, and thigh-high boots.
Another is a boy with short blond hair and blue eyes. His Freelancer outfit is heavy armor and chainmail on his arms and legs, over which he wears a white shirt with puffed sleeves and a wide collar, and a red gambeson over that.
Another is a young man who wears full body armor colored dark purple or blue in most of his appearances. He wears a helmet the shape of a dragon's head that obscures most of his face and sharp spikes extend out of his armor on his shoulders, elbows and calves, to give it an even more draconian look.
Another is a young woman who wore a green outfit with over-the-knee green and golden heeled boots and draperies adorned in stars.
Another is an elderly man who has a long white beard and white hair. He wore round glasses, a high collared, long purple coat and purple trousers. The inside lining of his coat has a striped pattern, stars on his shirt, blue and red patterns on his trousers, and a fringe trimming on his coat.
Another is a youthful, blond man in his mid twenties, wearing red garments, a cloak and a hat with a feather in it.
Another is a beautiful young woman who has blonde hair styled in a half updo with long bangs and a tiara. Her eyes are dark blue, but appear slightly purple in most of her sprites. She wears spiked pauldrons over a floor-length white and gold cape, a sleeveless white top with long, decorated gloves and a large belt that holds a dagger on her side. She wears purple paisley patterned bikini bottoms, white patterned pantyhose, gold and pink knee braces and light purple ankle boots.
Another is a man who sports a blond mustache and shaven head save for his braided blond ponytail. He is shirtless, with red wrist bands and pants tied at the ankle; a yellow sash around his waist, and flat brown shoes. He wears red earrings, and has a red tattoo on his left shoulder.
Another is a young boy wearing a striped green and white costume, with an orange cloak and green boots. His hair is pulled into a little ponytail.
Another is a young girl who wears an orange and white striped costume with a green cloak and orange boots. She has brown hair worn in a high ponytail.
Another is a large man with a brown beard, and wears a blue outfit with red gloves and boots, a tool belt, and an aviator's helmet and goggles.
Another is a young, lean man, with short, slightly spiked silver hair and light-blue eyes. He wore gray-blue and black armor with a gray cowl covering his mouth and a large gray cape.
Another is a young woman with short, banged pink hair and she wears a short belted, loose-fitting orange traveling dress. She also has gold bracelets and a matching necklace with a red jewel, as well as the belt.
Another is an elderly man white hair tied at the back. He wore yellow and green in his golden ornaments and a red sash, along with a shield on his back.
Another is a young woman who has long, loose purple hair with a green headband and green eyes. She wears a dark blue sleeveless jacket with gold piping and a paler blue tunic with a gold belt that has a red jewel, similar to her sister's. Over the shoulders, she wears a baggy green shawl hiked up on the shoulders and secured with a red stone brooch. She has brown leather bracers on the forearms and matching boots.
Another is a girl with blue eyes, long blonde hair tied in a ponytail with a ribbon, and wearing a blue dress.
Another is a young man with messy pale blond hair and always wears a bandana, though at times his hair has been depicted as white. He wears a vest over an off-white undershirt, and gloves and pants that match his vest, and brown boots.
Another is a tall, muscular man. He has blue eyes and blond hair tied in a ponytail, although his hair is short. His super-deformed art and in-game sprites depict him with a blue tank top and white pants with a green sash and brown boots.
Another is a young man who wears a light blue armored chest plate with gold detailing, matching shoulder pads and bracers, an attached collar and cape, and black sleeves. He has a white sash around his waist with a lavender belt, dark blue pants and white boots. He has blond hair tied into a ponytail with two blue ribbons, and he has blue eyes.
Another is a teenager with wild hair tied up in a ponytail and mis-matched clothes made of animal hide. He has dirty green hair. He wears a yellow shawl with large orange dots over his shoulders and upper torso clasped with an emblem resembling a monster's head, and his shorts are green with yellow dots and held up with a red belt. His eyes are bright red. He wore a pair of shorts. He wears no shoes, just red bands around his ankles and the middle of his feet, and he wears identical bands on his wrists.
Another is a middle-aged man with long black hair tied into a ponytail and a trimmed black mustache. He wears blue and black armor with a chest piece and shoulder pads, bracers, and boots. His chest piece and shoulder pads are universally brown or bronze.
Another is a young man who wore a long black duster coat with triangle-pattern trim that is variably yellow or white, and a deep purple lining. His attire under it is a ruffled black shirt, matching pants, and white boots. He has purple eyes and long silver hair.
Another is a young woman who has long blonde hair and blue eyes. She wears a low-cut green leotard with a belt around her waist, armored shoulder pads connected to a white cape, and blue boots and wrist bangles.
Another is a ten-year old girl with short blonde hair and blue eyes. She wears a red turban with stars, a black top, baggy red pants with stars around the bottom, and a short yellow cape.
Another is an old man with a small stature. He is balding with messy white hair similar to a mohawk, a large white beard and mustache, and gray eyes. He wears a red cloak with a white-striped high collar, a black top, and blue pants with polka dots.
Another is a heavy-set, muscular dark-skinned man. His right arm has a gun-like weapon attached, due to the loss of his real arm. He has several bands of metal around his waist, and a tattoo of a skull on his left shoulder. His hair is cut similar to a hi-top fade. He has a thick beard, as well as two dog tags around his neck. He has three scars on his right cheek. He also wears a silver hoop earring in his left ear.
Another is a young woman with long light-brown hair with a large pink ribbon; within the ribbon. shin-length pink dress that buttons up the front and a red bolero jacket. She wears brown boots and has metal bracers on her wrists and around the edges of her jacket sleeves. She wore a flower necklace with a pearl in the center on a leather ribbon, and a trio of bracelets that are gold, silver, and bronze.
has very dark hair, varying brown to black, which typically falls below her waist and is tied at the tips to form a dolphin-tail split. She has red eyes. She has an athletic build, with a slender but toned physique, and visible abdominals. She wears a white tank top and black miniskirt with a belt and suspenders. She dons red and black gloves that extend to her elbows, red boots, black socks, and a metal guard on her left elbow. She wears black shorts underneath, and a black sports bra under her white tank top. She wears black leather gloves with metal plates on the back and knuckles, while the elbow pad on her left arm has been supplemented by a red-and-black leather vambrace that has Norse runes on the edging.
Another is an anthropomorphic cat standing just over three feet tall with short black fur and a white stomach and face. It wears a short red cape and white gloves and a small crown.
Another is a quadrupedal animal with dark red and orange fur and a thin brown mane. His right eye is scarred, and the remaining eye is ochre. He is adorned with a variety of beads, earrings and feathers around his head, with golden pastern braces and brands on his legs. He also has the roman numeral "XIII" tattooed on his shoulder. The tip of his tail burns, and he seems able to control the flame.
Another is a man who wears a navy blue flight jacket over a dark shirt with dark green cargo pants. He wears a white pilot's scarf that covers most of his shirt. Cid has blond hair and blue eyes and facial stubble. He wears a pair of goggles on his forehead, with a packet of cigarettes strapped underneath the band. He wears leather gloves and boots.
Another is a teenage girl with black hair and dark brown eyes. She wore a green, sleeveless turtleneck jumper that bares her midriff, and a pair of tan shorts with no belt and an unbuttoned/unzipped fly. Over her left arm she wears a protective gauntlet that originates from a single pauldron over her shoulder, presumably meant to also act as a shield. The gauntlet is held in place via a strap tied across her chest and around her back. Ninja-mail mesh covers part of her right arm and left leg, and an additional piece of armor covers the rest of the thigh. She wears a smaller wrist-covering gauntlet on her right arm, orange fingerless gloves, and orange sneakers with white leg warmers.
Another is a man physically in his late twenties, and stands roughly six feet tall. He has crimson eyes and long black hair. He wears a red bandana with his fringe emerging over it. His most distinctive feature is his red cloak, held in place over his shoulders and lower face by several buckles. Underneath his cape, his attire is black leather with several straps and buckles. He wears a gun holster strapped to his right thigh and pointed golden sabatons on his feet. He wears a golden gauntlet on his left arm. extra belt and has a gold armor design on his left thigh. He wears golden armored boots instead of leather boots with sabatons. His right arm has a long glove with black straps. The cape from his red cloak is frayed at the edges.
Another is a young woman with shoulder-length black hair featuring caramel highlights on both sides of her face. Her eyes are dark brown. Her outfit is a long, sleeveless, blue rib-knit duster sweater with a pair of white wing designs on the back. She wears matching rib-knit arm warmers, a black tank top, a denim button-up skirt, a black ribbon on her left arm, and black cycling shorts with zippers going down the front and a pair of silver-buckled black boots. Her necklace features a ring.
Another is a short young man and has uniquely styled spiky blond hair and blue eyes. He wears a black vest with a red decor along the zipper, a black beater, baggy denim shorts, and black and red tennis shoes.
Another is a young woman who wears a yellow overall dress with a clip at the front, a frontal zipper that travels the full length of the dress and two large back pockets. She wears a silver pendant, a blue strap on her left wrist and brown boots that reach mid-calf.
Another is a young man who wears his long brown hair in a ponytail and has blue eyes. He has a black cowboy hat, a purple vest, a long khaki-colored jacket, black fingerless gloves and brown chaps over black trousers with black boots. He wears gray earrings and a red and yellow beaded necklace.
Another is a young woman who wears a salmon zipped vest, with a gold-rimmed fold-over collar, that is zipped just below the ribcage exposing her midriff. She wears brown arm warmers and brown gloves, a long salmon skirt with a silver waistband, black pants, a brown belt and brown shoes. She has blue eyes and wears her blond hair tied up held with a silver comb accessory, and has two long fringes framing her face.
Another is a boy who has a completely black face and large yellow eyes. He wears a large tan pointy hat, a blue jacket, green and white stripy trousers, red and white gloves, and brown boots.
Another is a young woman who has chin-length, black hair in a low ponytail with a blue clip. She has brown eyes and fair skin. Her attire is a white bell-sleeved blouse under a skin-tight, sleeveless orange jumpsuit with corset lacing in the front and back and large white buckles on the thighs. She wears a pair of red leather gloves and red ankle boots, and a black choker and a large crystal suspended from a long silver pendant.
Another is a tall man with a stocky build. He wears a traditional silver colored knight's armor, a pair of shorts and a helmet with a white feather. Even his shoes and gloves are armored. He carries a broadsword on his back, fastened in place by a leather strap.
Another is a creature with a long tongue. It wears a chef's hat, and their tongue hangs out to the middle of their chest. It wears a salmon-pink overcoat with a baby-pink apron over it, has a napkin tied around their neck, and wears white gloves and blue shoes with white ribbons.
Another is an anthropomorphic rat demihuman. She wears a red hat with decorative metallic wings, which, combined with her white hair, obscures much of her face and her green eyes. She wears a long red coat with a split up the back, buckles on the upper arms roping around the sleeves, a large escutcheon bearing a coat of arms on her torso, a pale blue cravat, knee-length orange trousers, a pair of tanned leather gaiters, and a small orange ribbon tied to her tail.
Another is a tall man with red dreadlocks that cover his eyes, a red chinstrap beard, bluish skin, large forearms, and an ape-like posture. He wears a green vest and trousers, a red belt around his waist, red bands on his upper arms and green bands on his wrists, and brownish-red boots. He has salamander tattoos on his shoulders.
Another is a small girl who has green eyes, a small horn on her forehead, and blue hair cropped above her shoulders with a ribbon tied into a large bow on top. She wears a red turtleneck and pink bodysuit, loose yellow pants that gather at the ankles, a yellow chest plate connected to a belt around her waist as part of the ornamental wings she wears on her back, purple socks and white ankle boots.
Another is a young woman with shoulder-length brunette hair. She wears a blue-beaded earring on her right ear, hidden by a lock of her hair, woven into blue beads with gold rings around the larger, middle bead. She wears a silver necklace of a hibiscus flower along with a matching ring on the pinky of her right hand. She also wears a silver ring on the middle finger of her left hand and two bracelets, one beaded and one silver, on her right wrist. She dons a modified halter-neck top with a symbol across the chest and a pink hood. She wears yellow armbands over her biceps, a black bracelet on her left wrist, and denim booty shorts. She carries a pouch on her left hip over an ankle-length blue and white half skirt and wears laced knee-high boots.
Another is a man who wears a red haori closed with a black and blue strap with two brown belts wrapped around it. He tucks his left arm into the front of his haori, making it look like his arm is in a sling. He wears a black armored gauntlet on his right hand and an armor brace on his left forearm.
Another is a panther-like demihuman with blue fur and white hair and a beard. He is leonine, tall, and muscular, and has a tail. He has a broken horn on his forehead. His ears are pierced, and his hair is held back in a ponytail and braided on the sides. He wears leather straps that hold in place his arm guards and his chest piece that has a skull motif. He wears ankle guards and a sash tied around his waist with a red belt. His shoulder guards have tufts of white feathers or fur.
Another is tall and muscled man with tan skin, brown eyes, and long reddish-orange hair styled into a coif and gifted with blue headscarf. He wears a uniform of a sports team with alterations: a yellow vest top cut away at the stomach, a yellow shoulder pad on his left shoulder, blue and yellow baggy trousers gathered above the ankle, brown wristbands with a blue and yellow armguard over the left arm, and open sandals. He wears a dolphin necklace and has a silver stud earring on his left ear.
Another is a woman who has a goth girl attire, but is portrayed as a witch. She wears a low-cut dark-gray and black dress that displays her cleavage, with two crossed belts on the upper part of each sleeve. The décolletage is trimmed in fur, and the hem and sleeves have ornate lace edges. The lower front of her gown is made of a collection of interlaced belts. She wears a corset and lace-trimmed thigh-high stockings. She wears black strappy heels.
Another is a slender and athletic teenage girl who has long blonde hair loose and braided, tied atop her head, adorned with colorful beads, and held by a blue bandana. Two shorter sections of hair part to her left and frame her face. A pair of bobby pins, one blue and one green, crisscross the left side. She also has green eyes with swirled pupils. She wore a yellow g-string bikini and an olive green mini-skirt, carrying two pouches at her waist and wearing ruffle sleeves. A long yellow and red scarf hangs loosely around her neck. She also wears earrings with the top halves pink and the lower halves white.
Another is a young woman with red eyes and short, silver hair. She most commonly wears a black leather ensemble complete with high-heeled boots, elbow-length gloves, and a folded top. She wears a silver pendant threaded with a barbed wire chain.
"We know you guys can do it," Cloud said.
"You sure about that?" May asked.
"We are. I sent Firion, Luneth, Cecil, Bartz, Tina, Cloud, Squall, Zidane, and Tidus to retrieve you once you've arrived," Fusoya said.
"Well, I don't know if you've been catching up with current events, but we were beaten by those guys. They were too much for us," Lyra said.
"Perhaps they are, but by working together it is my belief you can defeat them. And you can tap into the potential you have," Fusoya said.
"How?" Kairi asked.
"You will know when soon enough," Fusoya said.
"You think we can pull it off?" Chase asked.
"I know we can. We made it this far. So, we can beat those guys," Sora said.
"Sora's right. We can," Riku said.
"You're gonna need this," Fusoya said as he and the warriors gifted them with their strength. "You will need the strength of all of us here. Your strength alone will be enough, but with all of ours combined, you will have a better chance."
"We appreciate it," Ash said.
"Now, we just gotta go look for them," Roxas said.
With that said, Firion, Luneth, Cecil, Bartz, Tina, Cloud, Squall, Zidane, and Tidus joined the group to take on the villains. As they go forward, they're suddenly stopped by a stream of fire.
Just then, a horde of monsters came and attacked. Sora and Kairi recognized the creatures very well. Squall took out a sword that is a combination of a gun and a sword. The handle and the guard is that of a revolver and the rest is a sword. He sends out a fireball, hitting the monsters. The Keyblade wielders and the Pokémon engaged the monsters, taking them all on.
The numbers of the monsters kept on coming until their numbers have dwindled.
"That takes care of them," Elaine said.
"We're not finished yet, Elaine. They're expecting us to come," Cecil said.
"Well, they're not gonna be disappointed," Riku said.
"I agree. Let's go," Cloud said.
With that said, the group continued on their way through the world.
"Nothing so far," Naminé said.
"Yeah, and that's what's making me worry," Tina said.
"At least we didn't see any Heartless since we came here," Leaf said.
"Yeah, should have seen at least one by now," Kris said.
"Emperor Mateus had never used the Heartless for his bidding because he knows they'll eventually turn on him. He has no use for creatures he cannot control," Squall said.
"But it doesn't mean they're not around," Kairi said.
"Don't jinx it, Kairi," May said.
"I'd rather not have to run into them," Chase said.
"So, you've come," a voice spoke. It turns out to he Garland himself.
"Garland!" Sora exclaimed.
"I have to say I underestimated you the last time, but it's a mistake I won't make again," Garland said.
"I beaten you before and I will again," Sora said, summoning his Kingdom Key.
"Don't be so certain," Garland said, drawing his own sword. Just then, Exdeath appeared behind Sora.
"Watch out!" Bartz exclaimed as he took out a broadsword and came at Exdeath. Ultimecia came to assist Exdeath, but Pikachu casts a Thunderbolt, hitting her.
"Disgusting vermin!" Ultimecia hissed.
"Don't get distracted," Squall said, coming at her with his Gunblade.
"Time!" Ultimecia shouted, freezing time. She summoned purple energy arrows. When time unfreezes, they all shot at him, but Ethan and Brendan assisted Squall by deflecting them.
"I won't let you destroy everyone's hopes," Tina said.
"Dreams aren't worth dirt!" Kefka said, coming behind her. She gasped as she jumped backwards. "I'm going to destroy... EVERYTHING!" He unleashed a burst of energy. Leaf and May came to her aid by casting a double fire spell, hitting him. "Hot, hot, hot! It looks like I got some annoying, little bugs. And there's only one way I know who to deal with bugs like you!" Kefka came at Leaf and May, but Roxas came at him and smacked him as Xion casts a thunder spall, hitting him. Cloud and Sephiroth clashed their swords against each other.
"Tell me what you cherish the most..." Sephitorh paused for a moment, "...so I may have the pleasure of taking it away." Cloud growled as he came at him again.
"There isn't a thing I don't cherish, Sephiroth?"
Tidus rushed over to Seymour with his sword, but he avoids his slash.
"I knew you were trouble from the day we met," Tidus said.
"My sincerest apologies," Seymour said.
"Seymour!" Tidus shouted as Kris casts her music spell.
Golbez unleashed a thunder spell, making Riku and Cecil run. Cecil came at Golbez with his holy sword and he swings it at him. Golbez blocked as Riku unleashed a dark ember, hitting him.
"You have a gift for the darkness, Riku. Why waste it to join forces with them?" Golbez asked.
"Because I know what's right. And what's right is stopping you," Riku said.
"A pity that we must destroy you," Golbez said.
"Not while I stand, Golbez," Cecil said.
Sora clashed his Kingdom Key against Garland as Firion went for Emperor Mateus. He vanished and unleashed destructive orbs at him. Xande casts a powerful spell, but Luneth changes into a red mage and unleashed a fire spell, hitting him. Bartz clashed against Exdeath's blade, so Naminé casts a flower spell, hitting him.
Kuja unleashed destructive orbs at Zidane, but Wes came at him with his two Keyblades as Rui casts a blizzard spell.
"They're even stronger than we anticipated," Xande said.
"It would seem we must withdraw for now. This world no longer serves its purpose for us," Emperor Mateus said. All of the villains disappeared.
"Where did they go?" Rui asked.
"They turned tail and fled like the cowards they are!" Zidane said.
"I doubt they will return to this world," Cecil said.
"Now, what do we do?" Luneth asked.
"And how do we get back?" Michael asked.
"I believe I can assist you with that," Fusoya said as he appeared. They all turned to see him. "I can send you back to where you came."
"You can do that?" Ash asked.
"Yes, I can," Fusoya said, casting a spell.
Back with Rei, she was beside herself with grief. Rei feels that she failed as a master when it came to her apprentices.
"Oh, this isn't good. How will I find them? Where do I even start looking?" Rei asked when a portal opened. Rei watched on as her apprentices stepped out, along with a massive crowd. "You're safe. And it looks like you came back with more people than ever."
"We can explain," Sora said.
Sora and the others introduced the warriors that helped them, and filled their master in about what happened.
"I see. So, Emperor Mateus returned, has he?" Rei asked.
"Yeah. Any ideas on what we should do?" Sora asked.
"Nothing for now. It doesn't seem there's nothing we can do about it," Rei said.
"But what about them?" Kairi asked.
"Where will they be going?" Elaine asked.
"Well, we could use a new home, so any ideas on where?" Cloud asked.
"Just one. Just head for Pallet Town. I have a map you can use," Rei said.
"You sure it's a good place for us all?" Tina asked.
"Pallet Town is the place to live," Roxas said.
"Just tell everyone that we sent you there," Xion said.
"We'll trust you with that," Tidus said.
"Also, we know everybody here will be in safe hands with you guys leading them," Chase said.
"He's right about that," Zidane agreed.
With that said, Firion, Luneth, Cecil, Bartz, Tina, Cloud, Squall, Zidane, Tidus, and the other warriors began to lead the crowd of people to Pallet Town. The Keyblade wielders wondered how everyone will adjust to it, but only time knows the answer to that. Now, the group prepares to depart for Mulberry City for May's Pokémon Contest.
Meanwhile, the villains have arrived to Count Ernesh's mansion. Insidious was angered by the emperor's eagerness.
"Explain yourself, Mateus," Insidious demanded.
"Apologies, Lord Insidious. We simply couldn't wait any longer. We have underestimated them and they are much stronger than we were led to believe. But I assure you, we will not do so again," Emperor Mateus said.
"Regardless, my plan remains unchanged. You will only act when we do. Is that understood?" Insidious said.
"Of course," Emperor Mateus said.
Well, this just a whole lot more interesting. I wonder what sort of future could these people have in the world of Pokémon? And will May earn her fifth Ribbon and earn the right to participate in the Grand Festival? Find out when we continue with our story.
