"We have no idea how much this guy knows about us." Xander pointed out as the three teenagers left the High School. "For all we know, he knows the make, model and license plates of cars registered to us or even our families. Driving to his place risks him seeing the car and if he does know, he might recognize us."
"Digging into our personal files from the guidance office might have been taking advantage of an opportunity." Willow mused. "But we shouldn't take the chance, it might be paranoid or might be a case of better safe, then sorry."
"How do you suggest we get to his address than?" Cordelia asked. "Starlight can't carry all three of us. Well, she might be able to, but the chances of one of us falling off with no saddle and a narrow back increases the chances."
"Starlight?" Willow asked.
"I'm testing out names for the Pegasus Xander gave me." Cordelia answered.
"Oh." Willow paused. "What's a Pegasus? Is that some weird hybrid animal or something?"
"It's a flying horse." Xander told her and Willow blinked. "Xander," she said carefully. "if you're referring to what I think you're referring to, they're mythical."
"So are vampires and a month and a half ago my costume destroyed them all."
"You're telling me Pegasus are real?!"
"Somewhere out there in the multiverse they are." Xander informed her. "They'd have to be in order for the power in Cordelia's new sword to summon one."
"You gave her a sword that summoned a Pegasus?"
"Yes."
"That's a Hell of a present." Willow said flatly.
"The ones I gave you might make you rich."
"Yeah, still doesn't compare to an actual Pegasus!"
"If I let you ride her, will you let it go?" Cordelia rolled her eyes.
"No." Pause. "Maybe."
"Focus, ladies." Xander suggested. "Cordelia's right, the Pegasus probably can't handle all of us, not to mention, people would see us flying around on her. But it's only a couple of miles walk from here. It shouldn't take long to get there."
"Only a couple of miles?" Willow muttered. "You say that like it's nothing."
"My parent's house is about that far from the school in a different direction and I used to walk it every day." Xander reminded her. "Now I have other ways of getting to school."
"And cheerleader practice is probably more intense than a walk of a couple miles." Cordelia said. "We won't run, but we'll get there in a good amount of time."
"Probably about thirty minutes." Xander agreed. "That's about what it would take me walking alone."
"Fine, let's get going." Willow started off in the direction of the street Ted was listed as living at. "The sooner we get there, the sooner we can get some answers, this whole thing is incredibly creepy."
"It is, isn't it?" Cordelia agreed. "Who knows what he might do with our personal information, how he could screw with us if he tried to use it in some way."
"Willow's family could be investigated for neglect, the way they're constantly leaving her alone."
"He could do something to challenge your emancipation or our families might be in danger from him." Willow suggested. "And the information on Buffy could be very damaging."
"At the very least marrying Mrs. Summers seems to be on his agenda." Xander stated. "And we still have no idea what happened to his first four wives."
"How can someone not have noticed a guy who seems not to age?" Cordelia asked. "Weird as Sunnydale is, he couldn't have worked at the same place since the 1950's, someone would have noticed he wasn't aging."
"Well, he couldn't have worked at a computer store since then." Willow responded. "They only started appearing in people's homes in the seventies and back then you had to order them. Stores didn't start to really be established until the '80's. It's possible he moved around, at least job wise."
"Or used Magic to hide himself or confuse others." Xander commented. "Hopefully we'll find out one way or another when we get there."
They continued to speculate until they reached the street Ted lived on and then Xander used the invisibility spell he'd used to sneak into the Archives and they made the last few blocks in invisible silence. Once there, they hid in the shadows of a house across the street and waited for Ted to arrive home, which he did a little after six thirty. As soon as he spotted Ted, Xander activated the Eye of Agamotto and scanned him.
"Oh, wow, I wasn't expecting that!" Xander whispered excitedly. "Ted's not a demon or a human, he's a third category."
"Alien?" Willow whispered, wondering at the possibilities.
"No, that would be a fourth category." Xander answered. "But you're in the ballpark as it's scifi related. Ladies, Ted's a robot."
"What, like the demon my cyber boyfriend turned out to be?" Willow hissed.
"Cyber boyfriend? Demon?" Cordelia questioned.
"Before you started hanging out with us." Willow told her. "I'll tell you about it later, right now we need to concentrate on disabling him and getting information on his purpose, marrying Mrs. Summers can't be all of it, can it?"
"Let's find out." Xander murmured. "Here's what I suggest we do." He quickly explained his plan and the two girls agreed to try it. Cordelia pulled out her new sword and Willow pulled out one of the Spider Bites from her pocket.
Staying invisible and hoping Xander could hold the invisibility spell in place, the three teenagers crossed the street to capture themselves a robot.
