Soon enough, everyone was back at the Slave Quarters, getting the Pod up and running in time for the race. Anakin worked on the pod with the help of R2, Threepio, Jar Jar and the others, While Qui Gon and Obi Wan watched from the porch.

"What if this plan fails master." Obi Wan asked. "We could be stuck here for a very long time."

"It's too dangerous to call for help." Said Qui Gon. "Besides, a ship without a power supply won't get us anywhere, Not to mention all these "new friends" of ours."

"I've heard Master Yoda speak of this "Eltar" place." Obi Wan admitted. "We should look into it more perhaps."

"Yes, T.J. and the others mentioned something going on there." Qui Gon agreed. "And… there's also something about that other boy, Anakin."

"I… feel it too." Said Obi Wan.

"The force is unusually strong with him too." Added Qui Gon. "That much is clear, who was his Father?"

Shmi blinked. "There… was no father."

"What?" Obi Wan asked. "None at all."

"I… don't know of any father." Said Shmi. "I carried him, I gave birth to him, I raised him, I can't explain what happened."

Qui Gon and Obi Wan looked at each other in suspicion.

"Can you help him?" Asked Shmi.

"I don't know." Said Qui Gon. "We didn't exactly come here to free slaves."

They turned back to Anakin as a group of children came up to him, fellow slave children of Tatooine.

"Hi Ani!" They said as they approached.

"Oh, hey guys!" Said Anakin. "These are my new friends."

"Hello." Said Justin.

"Wow, cool!" Said one boy, pointing at R2. "An Astromech."

R2 beeped in greeting.

"How did you get so lucky?" The Boy, whose name was Kitster Banai, asked.

"That isn't the half of it." Said Anakin. "I'm gonna enter it in the Boonta Eve tomorrow!"

"What?" Exclaimed Kister. "With this?"

"You're such a joker, Ani!" Laughed Wald, a Rodian.

"You've been working on that thing for years." Said a girl named Amee.

"It's never gonna run." Added Melee.

"You keep racing Ani, and you'll be bug squash." Said Seek, the red haired boy. "Come on guys, Let's play ball before work."

And they ran off laughing, except for Kister, who stayed behind to help hook up the cables, Jar Jar and Carlos were screwing in bolts, next to a streak of purple lightning called energy binders.

"Hey guys." Said Anakin. "You might wanna keep away from those energy binders, anything gets caught in the beam it'll be numb for hours."

"Uh, okay." Said Carlos as he reached down for the wrench that Jar Jar dropped, But the Gungan knelt down quickly and grabbed it first, causing Carlos to get his whole head zapped by the energy binders.

"Uh oh, Sorry!" Jar Jar said, as he held Carlos steady.

"It… ti fine…" Carlos said, in a slurred speech.

"Jesus, Carlos!" Cassie said as she walked over to them, and helped Carlos to a corner.

"I for one find that Jar Jar creature to be a little odd." Threepio whispered to R2 and Alpha.

R2 gurgled in agreement.

"I'm not one to be judgemental." Said Alpha 6. "But yeah…"

"You don't even know if this things gonna run." Said Kitster, As Anakin climbed inside the cockpit.

"It will." Anakin simply replied.

"And I think it's time we found out." Said Qui Gon as he and Obi Wan came over. "Anakin Skywalker, meet Obi Wan Kenobi."

"Hi!" Said Anakin as he shook Obi Wan's hand. "Please to meet you, you're a Jedi too."

"A Padawan learner." Said Obi Wan. "But yes, here, take this power charge."

"Thanks." Said Anakin as he inserted it.

"Alright everyone." Qui Gon called out to the others. "Let's all stand back."

Everyone got to a good position, as Anakin switched on the ignition, the thrusters roared to life and the engines began to power up. "It's working! It's working!" Anakin exclaimed in delight.

Everyone looked on in glee.

Later that night.

Anakin looked to the stars as Qui Gon tended his wound.

"Stay still Ani." He said. "I need to clean this cut."

"I've always liked the stars." Said Anakin. "Do they all have a system of planets?"

"Most of them." Said Qui Gon.

"Has anyone ever been to all of them?" Asked Anakin.

Qui Gon couldn't help but chuckle. "Not likely."

"Ani!" Shmi called. "Come to bed!"

"Ow!" Anakin felt something prick his arm.

"Sorry, just checking your blood for infections." Said Qui Gon. "Go on, you have a big day tomorrow."

And Anakin went back inside the house, Qui Gon then turned to his own room, Where Obi Wan and T.J. were waiting for him.

"Obi Wan." Qui Gon asked. "Is there any chance you can analyze this blood sample?"

"What do you need a Blood sample for?" Asked T.J.

"For a Midechlorian count." Said Qui Gon as he handed the sample to Obi Wan, the Padawan plugged it into an analyzer device and studied it.

"Karabast…" Obi Wan said as the device's readings were complete. "These readings are off the chart, over 20,000, not even Master Yoda has a Mideclorian count that high."

"No Jedi has." Qui Gon said.

"What does this mean?" Asked T.J. still not understanding what was going on.

"I'm not sure." Qui Gon said. "But… the circumstances are… coincidental."

"Coincidental with what?" T.J. pressed.

"It's a long story." Said Qui Gon. "Allow me to explain…"

And T.J. sat down and listened, No one was aware that they were being watched from one of the other rooftops however.

Meanwhile,

The long sinister spacecraft settled to the ground, atop a rocky mesa in the Tatooine desert, Darth Maul dismounted from his ship and studied the Horizon briefly, than his communicator device was heard and he switched it on, In the holo image, as a white skinned woman with a auburn ponytail and a red jumpsuit, It was the infamous Bounty Hunter, Aurra Sing.

"What do you want?" Asked Maul.

"Got a border from the Trade Federation." Aurra said. "They're putting up a price for Nubian Star Cruiser, willing to pay a big score for information on it too."

"And what information would that be?" Maul asked.

"I know where you can find it." Aurra said, smiling.
