Right now, Ben and Kona were in school. By now, their bond as best friends have strengthened. However, not without challenges. You see, for as long as their friendship had formed... their bullies tormented them just as long. Ben's bully was named Michael. He was a bit of a troublemaker at school. In fact, he didn't just bully Ben. He also bullied other kids. As a result, they were afraid of him. Ben tried standing up to him a few times, but it never worked. Michael's parents didn't seem to care much about their son being a bully.
Kona's bully was named Monika. Unlike Michael, Monika used more psychological tactics to bully Kona. As a result, Monika's actions went unreported. Kona was too sad and scared to do anything about it. And there would be nothing much for the teachers and other school staff to correct if they ever caught wind of Monika's behavior because Monika can always make it seem like she was only joking. But these "jokes" weren't funny. -At all.
Today, as Ben and Kona were walking home together from school... -Something started happening.
BANG! BANG! BANG!
"AAH!"
"AAH!"
The sound of gunshots could be heard in the distance, Ben and Kona screamed and ran as soon as they heard it. Then, along came more gunshots followed by yelling.
"-GET THEM!"
BANG! BANG! BANG!
The people who were currently chasing Ben and Kona were known as "gigalomaniac hunters", their name suggests exactly what they do. -Hunt gigalomaniacs. Since gigalomaniacs were portrayed as demons on Earth, efforts were made to hunt them down. -To extinction if possible. These people had their eyes and ears peeled for anything that had news of gigalomaniacs. The goal of the gigalomaniac hunters was to "make the world a safer place" by killing as much gigalomaniacs as possible. But neither they nor the people realize that not all gigalomaniacs are evil. Unfortunately, the few minority of gigalomaniacs that were evil weren't helping their kind's case.
BANG! BANG! BANG!
"AAH!"
"AAH!"
Ben and Kona started running even faster. Suddenly, Kona accidentally tripped on a rock. This made her fall, making Ben stop to make sure she was okay. Just then...
CHAKK-CHAKK!
CHAKK-CHAKK!
CHAKK-CHAKK!
"-FREEZE!"
The gigalomaniac hunters managed to catch up to them! They made them freeze and put their hands up. Ben and Kona thought that this was going to be the end of them. All of a sudden...
FLASH!
FWOOSH!
Someone familiar came from the sky! -It was Minami! She now had armor and had two big white wings on her back. "-BEN! -KONA! -RUN!" she shouted, before summoning a bow and putting it on what looked to be part of a crossbow. She then started firing at the gigalomaniac hunters while shouting "-GET OUT!".
FWIP-FWIP-FWIP-FWIP-FWIP-FWIP!
CHAKK! CHAKK! CHAKK! CHAKK! CHAKK! CHAKK!
"-AAAHHH!"
The gigalomaniac hunters started dropping down, and the rest of them started running for their lives. Minami didn't stop firing energy arrows until she was sure they were all gone. She then made the dead bodies disappear using her gigalomaniac powers before turning to Ben and Kona and saying "-A-ARE YOU TWO OKAY?!".
"-Y-Yeah... W-We're fine Ms. Furugoori. B-But what the hell was that?!" asked Ben. Minami then made him and Kona go to her house.
Some Time Later...
"...so that's why those people were hunting the both of you. I'm glad I came just in time, I don't know how I'd explain the situation to Ashley if you were shot and killed Ben."
"I-I see..."
Ben and Kona were shocked at the discovery of the gigalomaniac hunters. They now knew that they had to be more careful when going outside, especially since they've managed to reach this part of Akihabara now.
With the gigalomaniac hunter situation getting worse and worse, Ben and Kona's mothers had to keep watch of them at all times. -Especially since the gigalomaniac hunters have no qualms with killing young gigalomaniacs. Still, there had to be a way for gigalomaniacs and people to stop unnecessarily fighting against each other. But that would take a long, long time to happen.
