11 years into their relationship

Misaki was, once again, attending a party dedicated to the celebration of Akihiko's talents. Being together with Akihiko for over 10 years, it's not like he had a choice whether he would attend these parties. He would just get dragged along.

As he was holding the drinks he got for him and his lover at the bar, he noticed he developed a new habit: tapping the wedding ring on his left hand on anything he would be holding. It has already been a year since he and Akihiko got married in England, but he still couldn't get used to having a ring on his finger. Although he was the one who proposed to Akihiko, everything felt so surreal.

His husband was wearing something a little out of his comfort zone tonight; his style was mostly traditional with an occasional pop of color, but he decided to be a little adventurous tonight. He wore a tailored, double-breasted black blazer with thin white lines on it, along with matching pants. Under the blazer, he had a burgundy silk shirt paired with the tie of the same color.

Misaki wasn't shy about their relationship anymore, but he would still blush when seeing Akihiko in a suit. He was so manly, beautiful, handsome, sexy, his, his, his and no one else's.

The media have been crazy about their relationship ever since they came out almost a year ago. When Misaki proposed to him, Akihiko knew he had to share his happiness with the entire world. The public has received the news about their relationship unexpectedly well.

Misaki walked over to Akihiko and handled him his drink. One journalist made their way towards Akihiko. He quickly put on one of his public smiles on his face.

"Usami-sensei, this is a question we usually ask women, but we thought it was also fitting for you: what's your secret to looking so good at every event?" the journalist asked.

Akihiko was a bit startled. Many people admired his good looks, but it was rare for him to get a direct question about his physical appearance. "Well, you know what they say: a good suit on a man is like lingerie on a woman; a part of it is really me just being styled well. But the other, bigger part of it is: people," as he said that, he interlocked his and Misaki's fingers and looked him straight in the eye, "people who make you look good, feel good in your own skin. People who make everything more bearable. It's what it is really about." After finishing his little speech, he took his husband's chin in his hand and kissed him on the mouth in front of everyone.

Misaki didn't protest, despite being kissed in public. For once, he didn't care about the cameras flashing or the journalists screaming. Because he was losing himself in his lover and their own, little world...
