As time went on, more and more research had been put into gigalomaniacs. But most of the information that researchers would put out were very, very biased. This made people fear and hate gigalomaniacs even more. When some of the people heard that both Ben and Kona were half-gigalomaniacs, they decided to hunt them down.
People packed firearms and ammunition before they headed towards the houses where Ben and Kona lived.
"Alright, they're in there."
"Let's split up."
The people split themselves into two groups. One group surrounded Ben's house, while the other surrounded Kona's. They got their firearms loaded and ready. Then, -it happened.
BANG! BANG! BANG!
"AAH!"
"AAH!"
Shotguns, pistols and rifles were fired towards the houses, forcing both Ben and Kona to take cover. Both of them were very frightened. Minami instinctively protected Kona as best as she could, while Ben's family took cover without taking him with them. However, Ben didn't notice this as he was too scared to even think about anything else other than taking cover.
Ben put his hands over his head and shut his eyes, not wanting to look at what the hell was going on outside. Just then...
BLAM!
"-AAAHHH!"
"AHA! THERE HE IS!"
One of the people who surrounded Ben's house finally managed to kick down the door. When he saw Ben, he pointed his rifle at him. The others then followed and aimed their firearms at him as well.
"-PUT YOUR HANDS UP!"
"-AAAHHH!"
FLASH!
"AGH!"
Suddenly, a bright white light emerged from Ben's body. It sent the people flying, making some of them accidentally drop their firearms. When the light disappeared, Ben saw that a... -sword?! Had formed in his right hand.
"-Wh-What is this?!" thought Ben as he looked at the sword more closely. This is a "DI-sword", the weapon which gigalomaniacs can summon. Even half-gigalomaniacs like Ben could summon them. As Ben looked more closely at the sword, he saw that it had a blue grip, a golden crossguard and a shining silver blade that had Japanese writing on it. The writing read "Excalibur". Was this really the famed legendary sword of King Arthur? No way... B-But that would mean...
"RAAH!"
Ben didn't have time to think about that, as one of the people managed to get back up. The person was charging towards him while loading and preparing to fire his shotgun. Once the shotgun was loaded...
CHAKK-CHAKK!
BANG!
"AAAHHH!"
FLASH!
KLANG!
As the shotgun was fired, another flash of white light appeared on Ben's left hand. When the light disappeared, Ben saw that he now had a blue and gold shield as well. There was writing in Japanese on the back which he could see. It read "Shield Of Fortitude". It was a good thing that the shield had appeared, as it just protected him from being killed by a shotgun blast near his head. Just then...
"HEEYAH!"
SLASH!
"AAAHHH!"
THUMP!
Ben used Excalibur to slash at the person who tried to kill him. He successfully did so and made him fall down. There was blood on his arm, and he accidentally dropped his weapon.
"AAAHHH!"
The person screamed as more blood dripped from his arm. Ben had then realized what he had just done. But there wasn't much time to think about it now as some of the other people that surrounded his house just got back up again and tried firing at him.
CHAKK-CHAKK!
BANG!
CHAKK-CHAKK!
BANG!
CHAKK-CHAKK!
BANG!
"-AAH!"
KLANG! KLANG! KLANG!
Ben's shield managed to block all of the people's shots. Then, he proceeded to defend himself with his sword. He had no other choice. If he didn't do anything, he'd be killed. So there was that.
SLASH! SLASH! SLASH! SLASH! SLASH! SLASH!
"AAAHHH!"
Eventually, Ben managed to kill all of the people who were trying to fire at him. However, his family saw what he did. "Ben... what have you done... -WHAT HAVE YOU DONE?!" yelled Ashley as she saw the horrors in front of her. "I-I'm sorry I-I-I didn't mean to I-" Ben tried to say, but before he could finish explaining himself Ashley rushed over to the phone and dialed 110. It was the number for Japanese police.
RIIING! RIIING! RIIING! RIIING! RIIING!
"-ASHLEY! -NO!" yelled Ben's grandfather, but it was no use.
"Hello?"
"Yes, 110 what's your emergency?"
"There's a monster who just killed lots of people with a sword and a shield! Please send help immediately!"
"-ASHLEY! -NO!"
"M-MOM?! W-WAIT! I-I-"
"We'll send some officers over to your area immediately."
BEEP!
After Ashley reported Ben to the police, Ben's grandfather looked at him and yelled "-RUN! -DON'T COME BACK HERE! -THEY'LL KILL YOU!". "-WHAT ARE YOU DOING?!" yelled Ben's grandmother, "Making him do what he should've done a long time ago, get out of this home that doesn't accept him." Ben's grandfather replied. "Wherever he ends up, I hope he dies and rots in Hell!" Ben's grandmother replied back. Then, Ben's grandfather looked at Ben one last time and said "Go! Get out of here! And never return! For if you do, they'll kill you!". Afraid, Ben started to run away from home never to return again.
It took a long while. But eventually, Ben managed to outrun the police cars that were after him. He saw them driving past where he was hiding. Once the coast was clear, Ben continued walking. He didn't know where he was going, but what he did know was that he wasn't going to go back to a place where he wasn't accepted. Suddenly...
FLASH!
A portal appeared in front of him! Out came two people, both had brown hair and red clothing.
"Hello, Benjamin."
Ben was shocked. He didn't know who these people were. "Wh-Who are you?! H-How did you-" he began stuttering, but before he could finish what he was going to say one of the people replied "I am Seth. And this is my wife Rosalina. We are currently the temporary rulers of the kingdom of Camelot in the world known as "Gigalomania".".
Ben had heard about Gigalomania before, it was the world where "gigalomaniacs" thrived. "G-Gigalomania?!" Ben asked in shock, "Yes. And we found you, one of King Arthur's descendants." Seth added.
"K-King Arthur's descendants?!" Ben asked in shock once more, "Yes. But not the King Arthur from here. The King Arthur in Gigalomania. Would you like to come with us? We saw you running from the police." Seth added.
Ben considered his options. He could continue on his own, but that would be impractical since he literally had nothing at the moment. But he didn't know Seth or Rosalina that much yet. Still, with the situation he was in he felt like he had no choice and that going with someone was better than going alone.
"A-Alright... I-I'll go with you." Ben finally answered, "Excellent. You will have a wonderful life. No more abuse from your family. And you will be a prince." Seth went on. "P-Prince?!" Ben asked in confusion, "Of course. You are one of King Arthur's descendants, so you are eligible to become a prince in Camelot. Come on Benjamin, we don't have much time to lose." Seth said before he, Ben and Rosalina went through the portal.
FLASH!
As Ben, Seth and Rosalina went through the other side of the portal, they saw a huge castle right in front of them. To Ben, this was an entirely new sight. To Seth and Rosalina, this was home. But it soon would be the same for Ben.
"Welcome home, young prince."
"H-Home?!"
"Of course, you live here now. This is now your home, where you belong."
After Seth said that, he and Rosalina led Ben towards the castle's front door. There were two guards at the front, who opened the door for them.
Once Ben was inside the castle, Seth showed him all around it. After that, he led him to the room he was supposed to have when he was born.
"And here we are, young majesty. Your room."
"Whoa!"
Ben had never seen anything like it before in person. It truly was fit for a prince. Blue color adorned the walls, and it was paired with a lovely, shiny gold. There was even a big bookshelf to the left of the room.
"Well Prince Benjamin, I've got some paperwork to do. If you need assistance, just pull that lever right there. Someone will then come to you. If you need to send a message to someone, use that magic scroll over there. Just write whatever you want to say and write down the name of the person you want to send it to."
"Yeah, thanks."
"Have a good day, Prince Benjamin."

And with that, Seth left Ben's room and closed the door. While Ben was left alone to rest in his room, he looked up at the ceiling. This would be his life from now on, and things would get so much better from here on out.
As for Kona and her family's situation, well... we'll catch up on that side of the story in the next chapter.
