"Thanks for coming, Sonic." Tails says cheerfully to the older hedgehog.
"Well, whenever my little bro asks for someone I basically have to give an audience to it don't I?" Sonic ruffes Tails hair, Tails frowns at the little bro comment however, but that will all change with what he has to tell Sonic.
Kit wakes up, Surge is not there. She's probably out with Amy doing something again. He gets ready for his job. He starts off good. Until he sees him. Sonic with Tails. Thankfully he gets away before either of them see him.
This is more than a call for an emergency. If Surge sees Sonic she might kill him. Which is bad, really bad. Too bad that Kit doesn't really want to interact with Sonic. So he can only hope that Surge doesn't see him.
"Huh?" Oh crap, that's Surge. He turns back around the corner to see Surge and Sonic, face to face. His worst nightmare. Immediately he goes up and stands next to Tails, who is seemingly just as worried as he is.
"Sonic? What are you doing here?" Amy asks
"Yeah, what are you doing here?" Kit can almost see the electricity coming out of Surge at this point. Sonic looks uncharacteristically nervous at the situation.
"When did you two get here?" Sonic nervously says, while Surge gets more and more angry by the second
"Sonic! I already told you about this! They've been here for a while! I specially told you not to come! Why are you even here?"
"Wow, what a warm welcome"
"I think she asked you why you're here?" Surge sternly says
"For Tails!" Sonic says panicked, everyone turns to Tails for confirmation and for why exactly Sonic is here.
"I needed to tell him something."
"And that would be?" Amy asks
"Private information."
"Well then why do it here?" Amy asks
"I was going to tell Kit afterwards then everyone else. Sonic can get here much faster than I can get to him." Tails says, and turns away from Amy. Kit pats Tails on the back.
"Well, um, I'll find a private place for you two to talk, Kit and Surge, you should probably go back to your bunk" Amy says and quickly pushes Sonic away. Surge listens even if she isn't happy about it. If anything she's jealous, she doesn't know why but she is and Kit follows here back. The two wait for a while in their bunk. Kit gets a bit antsy about his job. While Surge sits in silence. Eventually Amy comes back for the two.
"Why was he here?" Surge questions Amy, who gives a response neutral in nature, for her sake
"Unforeseen messages" Amy says "Tails wants to talk to Kit"
Kit gets up and leaves the room which then Amy leads him to another room where Tails is. She leaves and Kit and Tails sits in silence for a bit before Tails speaks up.
"Kit, I have something to tell you."
Kit perks his head up.
"I'm… a girl." Tails manages to choke out, Kit doesn't seem to be moved by this news, staying the same as before.
Kit sits still and Tails goes quiet.
"Okay?" Kit asks, confused by the silence of Tails, wondering if he's supposed to say something. Tails recognizes that of him being supportive or not knowing. "Anything else I should know?" Kit asks.
"Thank you, for being a good friend." Tails says with a smiles.
"…Thanks, see you at lunch?" Kit says still a bit confused.
"Definitely." Tails says. Kit gives a hug to Tails and then smiles at her then leaves, while Tails stays and begins to cry, a happy cry but a cry nonetheless.
"Hey" Amy says when she returns back to Surge, who isn't happy.
"Hey" Surge says back.
"Don't worry he isn't coming back"
"Good"
Amy goes over and sits next to Surge on Kit's bunk. She gives Surge a smile, which Surge doesn't return. Amy frowns again.
"Why do you like him so much?"
"What?"
"Why do you like him?"
"…I don't really know. Well I did, now I don't, it's more of a thing I keep up because… I don't know, I mean he's a friend but, now, I don't know if he could be much more, if he ever could've been much more"
"Seems like he doesn't recognize you fi who you are, your way too good for him"
"Thanks, I guess"
"I'm sorry I overreacted, I shouldn't have done that, for your sake" Amy noticed the inclusion of the last part, she smiles at it.
"It's fine, I know why you did it"
"So what did you tell him?"
"…Well"
"Sonic! I told you that they were here!"
"I forgot! You expect me to remember everything?" Sonic says with his trademark sarcasm against Amy
"No but I expect you to avoid people who are recovering from wanting to kill you and wanting nothing to do with you!"
"They're obviously unsalvageable, she still wants to kill me" Sonic rolls his eyes, which makes Amy even more upset.
"Don't you dare say that about Surge and Kit!" Amy yells at him
"Why not, they tried to kill me so many times!" Sonic complains taking his arms and putting them up into the air, Amy gets more frustrated at his antics
"Oh, so you can remember that but you can't remember it enough to want to stay away from them?" Amy complains
"Those are two different things!"
"Sonic, I can't keep defending you"
"…What?" Sonic pauses then says
"You can't keep being reckless. Even Surge realizes that. If you keep going like this, nothing of you will be left."
"Well, I gues that's how it is then"
"You're not even going to argue against that?" Amy says
"That's how I am"
"Fine. Just, don't come back for a while, okay?" Amy asks, Sonic frowns
"You'll be lucky if I do, you can't stop me from being me, Amy, maybe you should've learned that a long time ago" Sonic gives one last insult to her, which Amy frowns at
"…Yeah, I should've" Amy stings back, Sonic frowns at her comment but can't refute it and turns away then runs away in a cloud of dust, making Amy choke and cough a bit. Amy tears up a bit before wiping it off. She then goes back inside the restoration and back to Surge.
"I don't want to talk about it" Amy says after being in thought for a second
"Okay" Surge replies
Kit comes in, looks happy, gives Surge and Amy a thumbs up, then leaves with his work supplies. Leaving quickly to get back to the job that he loves.
"He looks happy" Amy comments
"You have no idea"
The two then sit in silence
"So, what did you want to do today?" Amy asks Surge and Surge begins to think. What does she want to do today? Honestly she has no idea.
