Casually rewriting this story for the 4th time and praying that nobody realizes what I'm doing...

Check my excuse for why I'm rewriting this story (FOR THE FOURTH TIME) in the author's note. My plans for this version is also included.

"Late, late, late!" Fujimura Nagisa cried as she scurried into the kitchen. The TV in the living room was on and the morning news was playing.

"Good morning, Tokyo! Is everyone excited for the meteor shower that's happening tonight!?" The news anchor cried.

Nagisa's 15-year-old daughter, Fujimura Momo, was seated at the dining table with a handheld mirror in her hands. Momo bore a stronger resemblance to her father as she had his skin tone and chocolate brown eyes. However, her wavy hair was a lighter ginger color their her mother's straight ginger hair that she kept in a bob.

Their next door neighbor who was Momo's age, Matsuoka Takeru, was behind her and was struggling to tie her hair into a ponytail.

"Why're you acting like this is rocket science?" Momo asked him as she watched his reflection struggle.

"You have so much hair! Do you even brush it!?" He responded. As he did, the rubber band he was using snapped.

"I do brush my hair!" Momo argued.

Takeru threw his head back and groaned. "That's like the 8th rubber band to snap today!"

"Because you're doing it wrong!" Momo cried. "Just style it how you do your hair!"

Ironically, Takeru kept his black hair long because "going to the barbershop is a pain." He's done many styles before but his go to style was to pack some of them in a ponytail and throw on a sports team's headband. Momo thought that he'd be the perfect person to help her with her hair but she has just been proven wrong.

Takeru reached for a new pack of rubber bands sitting on the table in front of Momo. Among the pack were a couple of hair clips, curlers, and scarves. In the background, Nagisa had placed a Starbucks K-cup into her keurig.

"I'll just give you a ponytail. That's easy," Takeru decided, ripping the packet open.

"Nah. Don't wanna twin with your cousin. She wears ponytails all the time. It's basically her signature style," Momo responded.

"Pigtails it is," Takeru decided.

He bunched a section of her hair together with a fist and raised it up, preparing to make one pigtail to the best of his abilities. The 9th rubber band popped just as he was tying the section. He groaned and dropped the section, earning Momo's glare.

"Why did you stop?" She demanded.

Takeru held up the popped rubber band. "Bruh! Just leave your hair down!"

Nagisa inserted herself into the conversation as the keurig poured her coffee into her "Justice Fighter" mug. "I don't mean to rush y'all two or anything, but don't y'all have school?"

"School?" Momo and Takeru blinked.

Momo glanced at the Verone High School uniform she was wearing. Then, she stood up and gasped. "Shit! Mom! What time is it!?"

Nagisa grabbed her mug from the keurig and swung the strap of her handbag over her shoulder. "Time to go or we'll all be late. I'm off to work! Please make it to school on time! It's not even been a full month since school started and already you and Takeru have been late almost every day of the week!"

"Good luck at work, Judge Judy!" Takeru called out after Nagisa as she left the kitchen.

"I'm a lawyer! Not a judge! And address me respectfully!" Nagisa yelled back before she shut the front door.

Momo left Takeru in the kitchen and made her way to the living room where their school bags were waiting for them on the couch.

"We're not that late," she said to herself, pulling out her old, glitchy iPhone 6 that had somehow avoided the kill signal for so long. She gasped when she saw the time on the lock screen.

"What?" Takeru asked, running into the living room to see what Momo was gasping over.

She grabbed his school bag and threw it at him. "We have to go! We're super late!"

i: a shooting star literally fell out of the sky.

Nakabayashi Kazuha glanced at her phone and sighed. "They're late. Again. And they were the ones saying they were gonna leave the 'being late 24/7' life behind in junior high."

Kawaguchi Harumi, who sat next to Kazuha and heard her grumbling, smiled. "At least the teacher isn't here yet. They still have a chance."

"Have they even left their houses?" Kazuha asked, checking their locations on her phone.

The students of Class 1-C were standing around, talking to one another in order to take advantage of the fact that classes haven't started yet. In one part of the classroom, an upperclassman was standing in front of the doorway and was asking to talk to a student. The friends of the requested student were teasing the student as the student slowly made their way to the doorway. In another part of the classroom, a group of students were recording themselves dancing to a popular Kpop dance that was trending on TikTok. At the front of the classroom, a student was sitting at a teacher's desk with a couple of convenience store snacks sprawled out in front of him.

"If you want snacks, pay up! This is Daiki's Convenience!" Kamiyama Daiki cried. Other students crowded around him with their money in their hands.

"Kamiyama-san!" A female voice cried.

"Shit!" Daiki cursed, scooping up the snacks. "It's Hanako!"

The students who were attempting to buy snacks quickly scurried away as the student who had called him out, class representative Kujo Hanako, approached him with her arms crossed.

"You do this every morning! I might as well write you up at this point!" Hanako scolded as Daiki hurriedly shoved his snacks into his school bag.

"Wait! No! I've seen the error of my ways! I won't do this again!" Daiki cried.

"You said that the other times I've caught you! At least do it discreetly, not all out in the open!" Hanako cried.

Daiki lit up. "Thanks for the suggestion!"

Hanako groaned. "You're not supposed to take it as a suggestion!"

"Oh. Momo texted me," Kazuha said from her spot in the room, reading the text on her phone screen.

Harumi stopped watching the shenanigans of the classroom and leaned towards Kazuha to see what the text read.

Peach Monkey: is kawaguchi-sensei there?

Peach Monkey: we're on our way!

Peach Monkey: also, tell Harumi that her cousin sucks at doing hair!

Kazuha relayed the message to Harumi who happened to be Takeru's cousin. Harumi could only sigh and give a tight smile.

"We should start waking those two idiots up ourselves. I'll take Momo. You'll take Takeru," Kazuha suggested as she texted Momo back.

As she did, their teacher and Harumi's mother, Kawaguchi-sensei, entered the class with a folder in her hands. The students chatting and standing around ran back to their seats.

"Settle down, everyone! Let me take roll so we can start today's lesson," Kawaguchi-sensei announced.

"Shit!" Kazuha hid her phone in her lap and quickly texted Momo "how far away are y'all? The teacher's here!"

"Ahh!" Momo cried as she read Kazuha's message while squeezed between the musty bodies on the subway hoping to make it on time to their various destinations.

"What now!?" She heard Takeru call out.

She turned to tell him the news but he was nowhere to be found. Holding onto the metal pole, she scanned the subway train from her cramped spot. "Kawaguchi-sensei is starting class and she's about to call roll! Also, where are you!?"

"'Xcuse me, 'xcuse me," Takeru mumbled, slipping past the other passengers until he was standing face to face with Momo. He held onto the handle above her head to prevent himself from losing balance on the train. "Tell Kazuha and Harumi to stall auntie somehow."

Momo nodded and began to text Kazuha.

Eventually, Momo and Takeru got off at their stop and sprinted towards the school. The gates had long closed but Coach Kugayama, the coach for the boys basketball team, was still standing proudly in front of them with his arms crossed and a stone cold expression on his face.

Momo and Takeru hid behind a couple of trees across from the gate to catch their breaths.

"So? Did Kazuha ever respond? What did she end up doing?" Takeru asked through his panting.

Momo held up a finger for him to give her a minute before she responded. "She didn't have to do anything. Apparently, the teacher from Class 1-A needed Kawaguchi-sensei to do something so she's been gone for a while."

"Perfect! So we can slip in and she wouldn't even notice!" Takeru cried.

"Yeah…if we can pass Coach Kugayama," Momo answered.

"Oh…" Takeru glanced at Coach Kugayama, accidentally making eye contact in the process.

The tracksuit-clad Coach Kugayama pointed at him. "You there!"

Takeru froze. "Shit! We've been seen!"

Momo acted fast. She pushed him forward, allowing Coach Kugayama to fully get a good look at him.

Takeru stumbled onto the grass and looked up at Momo as if he was a puppy who had been kicked. "Momo, what the fuck!?"

She placed her right hand over her heart and as if on cue, the cherry blossoms on the tree she hid behind began to fall. "Your sacrifice will not be in vain."

Takeru tilted his head. "Huh? Sacrifice? What do you me-" He cut himself off when he saw Coach Kugayama rapidly approaching and jumped up to his feet.

"Matsuoka! Late as usual!" Coach Kugayama yelled after him as Takeru ran off. "Do you really want to be benched in the next game!?"

"Have mercy on me, coach!" Takeru yelled, picking up his speed.

"Phew! That took longer than expected!" Kawaguchi-sensei said as she entered Class 1-C.

Harumi and Kazuha shared a look. Takeru and Momo's desks, which were in front of theirs, were still empty.

Kawaguchi-sensei opened her binder and pulled out a pen from the little pocket on the front of her shirt. "Alright. Let's see who's not here."

Harumi quickly stood up. The force of her sudden movement made her chair tip over and loudly fell onto the ground. Everyone in the class was staring at her.

Kawaguchi-sensei looked at her daughter who was uncharacteristically disrupting class. With a sigh, she closed her binder. "Yes, Harumi?"

"Um…um…" Harumi felt her cheeks grow warm and she grabbed onto her wavy black hair that was in its signature ponytail.

"If it's nothing important, I'm going to continue class," Kawagichi-sensei said.

"No! Wait!" Harumi cried, stumbling forward a bit.

From the corner of her eye, she saw Momo climbing through the indoor window in the classroom that showed the hallway outside.

Momo had one leg in and holding her schoolbag close to her chest, she was attempting to quietly pull her other leg in without losing her balance. A few students who sat nearby were watching her.

Harumi looked at Momo for help with tears welling in her eyes.

"Continue to distract her!" Momo mouthed.

Harumi closed her eyes and faced her mother. Then, with her fists clenched tightly by her sides, she opened her eyes. "I'm going to show you the choreography to Kpop girl group POPPY's newest song."

Kazuha was so caught off guard that she nearly fell out of her chair.

Kawaguchi-sensei blinked. "Now's not the time for that."

"No! It has to be done now!" Harumi cried as Momo almost fell onto the ground in her attempt to have both of her feet in the same room.

Kawaguchi-sensei and the students watched as Harumi did the choreography for POPPY's latest comeback that was trending everywhere, especially on Tik Tok. Her face was growing redder as a tomato and she felt herself overheating but she kept on going. I have to help Momo-chan sneak into the classroom without mom noticing!

Harumi had her face buried in her arms and hunched over her desk. Steam was coming out of her ears. "I can never show my face to anyone ever again!"

"Rumi-chin, don't be embarrassed! You helped me out! Kawaguchi-sensei didn't suspect a thing!" Momo cried, patting Harumi on the back.

In the background, it was break time as the teachers transitioned from class to class. As a result, students were talking amongst themselves. Momo was lucky enough to be able to sneak into the classroom and safely get to her seat without Kawaguchi-sensei noticing and it was all thanks to Harumi's distraction. Takeru, however, was caught by Coach Kugayama and was forced to stay outside and hold his school bag over his head. Then, when he was sent back to class, Kawaguchi-sensei had him stand outside.

Takeru shot Momo an icy glare as he entered the classroom and made his way towards his best friend Daiki who was waving happily at him. Momo stuck her tongue at Takeru in response.

"You and Takeru are fighting again?" Kazuha asked, pulling out her phone.

"He's just salty that I was able to save my ass because of his sacrifice," Momo answered before remembering Harumi. "But Rumi-chin! You made the biggest sacrifice!"

"Anyway, have y'all heard about the meteor shower that's happening tonight, right?" Kazuha said as she scrolled on her phone.

"Meteor shower…? I think I briefly remember hearing about it…?" Momo crossed her arms and tried to figure out where exactly she heard the news from.

Kazuha continued the conversation. "Anyways, I'm thinking we should go to the park later tonight to watch them."

"That sounds like a lovely idea…!" Harumi said. Her head was still on the desk and she was sniffling.

Momo put her hands together and beamed brightly. "I'm gonna make a list of things that I want to wish for!"

"Isn't it better to do it in the moment?" Kazuha asked, side-eyeing her.

"But what if I forget something?" Momo asked.

Kazuha shrugged. "Then I guess it's not important."

"I'm still gonna make that list," Momo insisted.

The Queen of the Garden of Light immediately opened her eyes and sat up on her throne. The elders who were standing around and discussing amongst each other in the large throne room stopped what they were doing and looked up to their queen. They watched as she transformed from her titan size to the size of an average human. Then, she rushed out of the room. The elders quickly followed.

"Your majesty! What's the matter!?" They asked with uncertainty and nervousness in their voices.

"I can't sense them anymore," the queen simply answered.

The Garden of Light now looked different from the Garden of Light from the past. Multiple temples with corinthian pillars dotted the landscape and fields of all sorts of flowers ran for miles. The fairies went about their business, meeting up with other fairies at different temples. There were no signs of distress amongst the fairy inhabitants and this made the elders more worried over what could have led the queen to act the way she was.

The queen walked out into the main royal courtyard where a large tree stood, surrounded by 12 evenly placed pillars. The leaves and flowers on the tree were usually in bloom all year round for thousands of years along with its vines that hung off the branches. However, when the queen and the elder arrived at the tree this time around, the leaves, flowers, and vines were wilting and falling off.

The elders gasped and rapidly talked amongst themselves in harsh whispers.

"That has never happened to the Tree of Light before..."

"What does that mean for us?"

"What's going on!?"

"What do we do!?"

The queen heard their comments. She knew she had to give an answer to reassure them but in all honesty, she wasn't sure herself about what was going on. She reached a hand out, closed her eyes, and concentrated.

After a beat, she opened her eyes and frowned.

She watched as cracks formed rapidly on the pillars that surrounded the Tree of Light that was losing its flowers, leaves, and vines. "It's just as I feared. The Zodiac Beasts aren't here anymore."

The elders gasped. "What!? How can that be!?"

"They are the ones who protect the Garden of Light. They are the ones who grant me my powers in order to give it to others to protect the Garden of Light and even the Garden of Rainbows. They have sworn an oath to never leave, even if they are in trouble. Since they're gone, this means that something that should not be happening is happening," the queen deducted.

"What could be happening?" One of the elders asked the queen.

The queen watched another wilted leaf land in front of the ends of her grand dress. "It seems that only the Zodiac Beasts know."

Momo was jumping on a cloud in a pink and golden sky but every time she landed on a cloud, her whole world would shake. She kept on jumping from pink cloud to pink cloud but the shaking would continue. Then, she approached the biggest, most fluffiest cloud she could see.

"Hop, step, jump!" Momo cried, jumping off of the cloud she was currently on and flying across the sunset sky to the brand new cloud.

With her parkour skills, she made it. But the cloud was too fluffy. Her foot went through the cloud and before she knew it, her whole body had gone through and she was falling. Below her was a bubbling pit of lava.

The falling-to-her-doom Momo blinked. "Huh!? Lava!? Wait, wait, wai-ahhhhh!"

Momo opened her eyes and sat up with sweat dotting her forehead. Clutching tightly onto the unicorn Squishmellow in her arms, she looked around and saw that she was sitting on the floor in her bedroom, not falling to her doom.

She let out a sigh of relief. "It was only just a dream."

Suddenly, she heard something vibrate loudly. She stood up and followed the sound to her pillow. She lifted the pillow up and saw that her phone was vibrating. In fact, she was getting a call. One it was in her hands, she glanced down at the caller ID through the multiple cracks on her phone screen.

"Kazuha? Why's she calling me..." She trailed off as she glanced at the time and jumped to her feet. "Oh shit! I was supposed to meet Kazuha and Harumi at the park almost an hour ago! Ooh, I bet Kazuha's pissed off at me! I gotta go! Have the stars fallen yet!?"

She dropped her phone and Squishmellow and scurried over to her window. As she predicted, the shooting stars were shooting across the Tokyo nighttime sky. She slid open the glass of the window so she could clearly see the stars without any glare on the glass. "Good! I didn't miss them!"

Placing her arms on the windowsill, she watched as the stars decorated the sky. She was born and raised here and usually, the city lights would make all of the stars lose their shine. It was her first time seeing stars for real, especially as bright as the stars now. The sleepiness she felt from her after school nap went away. She couldn't pry her eyes away from the beautiful sight.

"Wish...I need to make a wish…but I fell asleep while making my list...what should I wish for...?" She wondered out loud.

One star in particular shone brighter than the rest and its shine kept on growing. Eventually, its glow grew too bright to the point Momo finally acknowledged it. She tilted her head. "Why's that star brighter than the others? Wait...is it coming he-"

Before she could finish her sentence, the star flew directly at her and hit her on the forehead, knocking her out cold.

The star bounced on the walls and the ceiling until it finally went inside of her phone. Instantly, her phone transformed from the old, storage-less phone she was currently using to a whole new phone with a metallic dark blue cover with little designs carved into it and it could even fold close. Next to the folded phone was a golden key-looking charm. The top was a crown shaped as a heart and there was a charm hook at the top. The bottom had a midnight blue bow. Right under the bow were the teeth of a key.

Regaining consciousness moments later, Momo groaned as she sat up and rubbed her forehead. "The fuck just happened...?"

Then, she remembered that Kazuha had called earlier. "I bet she's pissed off! I need to go right now! Where's my phone!?"

Momo glanced around the room and her eyes landed on her newly transformed phone and the tiny key-charm. She squinted at the charm. "What's that?"

The new phone started ringing, prompting Momo to jump. "Phone!? I got a new phone!?"

She grabbed it and flipped it open. "It's one of those crazy expensive new phones! How did I get this!? There's no way mom would've gotten this for me. Dad? Nah, he's way too much of a cheapskate. He's not even home right now."

Remembering that her phone was ringing, she looked down at the caller ID, only to see that there was no number listed. But still, she pressed the accept button. When she did, the screen shone a snow blue color and the eyes, nose, and mouth of a plush toy appeared.

"What the fuck...?" Momo mumbled.

"Sisi!" The plush face cried with animated tears forming in its eyes. "You actually answered-sisi!?"

Momo blinked. "Ah. I must still be knocked out. Okay. Um, hi little alien in my new phone. You know that this is a dream, right?"

"I wish I were sleeping too, but we both can't have what we want-sisi. This is not a dream-sisi! This is a matter of life or death-sisi!" The plush face in her phone cried.

Momo squinted her eyes. "Huh?"

"I can't explain things like this-sisi." In a poof, the phone transformed into a plush toy. The plush was a snow blue color with two long, droopy rabbit ears that went to the ground with a midnight blue star at the end of each ear. It had little stubby hands and feet and a midnight blue Cancer zodiac symbol on its forehead.

"Okay-sisi. I can do this-sisi. I rehearsed this so many times in my head-sisi." It cleared its throat even though it technically did not have one. "Hello-sisi. Nice to meet you-sisi. My name is Ca-"

Momo grabbed the plush toy by the head and threw it out the window.

"Ahhhh noooo-sisi!" The plush toy grabbed onto the windowsill at the last minute with its little stubs. "You can't throw me out-sisi! I'm your phone-sisi!"

"Last time I'd checked, my phone didn't transform into an off brand Squishmellow!" Momo yelled.

"Please-sisi! Listen to what I have to say then I'll be out of your phone and on my way-sisi! Do you think I like this situation-sisi!?" The plush toy wailed as it hoisted itself up so it was standing on the windowsill.

Momo grabbed one of her shoes and raised it up as if she was about to crush a cockroach. "I'm dreaming. I'm definitely dreaming!"

"You're not dreaming-sisi! This is real life-sisi!" The plush toy cried. "I'm a fairy from the Garden of Light, but I'm not like the other fairies-sisi! I am Casi, but I have been brought to life by the spirit of Cancer the Crab, one of the 12 Zodiac Beasts-sisi!"

Very slowly, Momo put the shoe down and rubbed the split on her forehead where she got hit. It had been throbbing the whole time and she was trying to ignore it but with the nonsense that the plush who calls themself Casi was telling her, the pain had intensified.

"The reason why I'm not back at home is because something weird is happening-sisi!" Casi cried, tearing up.

"Something weird is happening all right. A toy is talking to me-owowowo!" Momo winced as the throbbing grew more intense.

"I'm not a toy-sisi!" Casi wailed as boulder sized tears fell from her large eyes. "I want to go back to the other fairies-sisi! I don't wanna be here anymore-sisi! Take me to the others-sisi!"

Momo coughed and rapidly blinked. "Hold on. There's more of you!?"

"Of course-sisi! I said twelve Zodiac Beasts, not one-sisi!" Casi responded through her sniffles.

Momo flopped down onto her back. "Alien invasion...perhaps...?"

Wiping her tears away, Casi flopped down onto her little bum. "To be honest, I have absolutely no idea what's happening or what's about to happen, but the other 11 fairies and I were dragged down to the Garden of Rainbows the very moment we sensed something that's not supposed to be happening happen-sisi! During our descent, though, we got separated-sisi. I can only go so far in this form while here so I need you to help me find the others so I can go back home-sisi!"

"So you don't even know why y'all are here?" Momo asked.

Casi sniffled. "No but the Precure can deal with is-sisi. I just wanna go home-sisi!"

"What? Precure?" Momo asked, sitting up. "And you mentioned the Garden of Rainbows. Is the Garden of Rainbows Earth or something?" She snorted. "What a weird name."

"The Precure are legendary warriors who are tasked with protecting the Garden of Rainbows, which is Earth, or the human realm-sisi," Casi explained.

"So why don't you let them handle whatever bullshit is out there if it's their job to protect Earth?" Momo asked.

Suddenly, Casi started to ball her eyes. "I wanna go home-sisi! Help me find the other 11 fairies-sisi!"

Momo groaned and covered her ears. "Not happening!"

On the streets of Tokyo…

"You know, I'm getting a strange sense of deja vu, but at the same time, it's not my own deja vu, if that makes sense," Momo said as she approached a crosswalk.

"The weather feels beautiful for a nice walk around town-sisi!" Casi mused happily from her place in Momo's school uniform pocket.

Rolling her eyes, Momo pulled her phone out and opened it, scowling when she saw a cartoon version of Casi sitting on her home screen. "I hope you know exactly where your fairy friends are."

Casi ignored her and continued with what he was trying to say. "Around 35 years ago, the Precure saved the Garden of Rainbows from an evil that had actually been festering for centuries and that should've been it-sisi. There should've been no way for a new darkness to come out in this dimension this soon, yet here we are-sisi."

"So where are the Precure now?" Momo asked, waiting for the crosswalk light to change.

"Grown-sisi," Casi answered.

Momo shrugged. "So go and find them so they can do their job. Or better yet, make their kids do it. Do they have children? Were the Precure plush toys like you?" Her lips pressed together as a more serious thought came into her head and out her mouth. "Wait. Can plush toys like you even have children?"

"You ask way too many questions-sisi!" Casi whined. "The Precure are human girls-sisi! Or, women since they're all grown up-sisi. And Precure is not hereditary-sisi! You become a Precure if you're chosen by a fairy who can grant you the powers of Precure-sisi! And no offense, I don't want to make you into a Precure-sisi. I don't even know what's going on nor do I want to find out-sisi. Everything seems fine anyway so I'd like to leave and go back home as soon as possible-sisi."

The light changed, allowing Momo to cross. "How far away are we from the other fairies anyway?"

"I dunno-sisi…" Casi replied, looking down at her little feet with a droopy frown.

Momo stopped in the middle of the road and stared down at Casi's face. "Huh? What did you say? You don't know!?"

"Obviously I don't-sisi! I literally just got here-sisi!" Casi cried.

"So why have we been walking around like stray kids!?" Momo yelled.

"Because if we walk around, we should be able to find at least one of them-sisi!" Casi yelled back.

Momo raised her phone up, prepared to throw it onto the road. "Yo-ahhh!"

The honking of an approaching truck snapped her out of it, prompting her to quickly sprint to the sidewalk on the other side. Once she made it, she glared down at Casi. "I almost died because of you!"

"But you didn't-sisi!" Casi cried. "We have other fairies to find so let's go-sisi! Put a pep to your step-sisi!"

"...we'll never find them…and this alien plush toy thing is never going to leave me alone…" Momo grumbled, dragging her feet across the concrete.

Irisawa Akari blinked. Then, she rubbed her eyes before placing a hand on her forehead to check her body temperature.

"I'm not sick…" She frowned and looked down at her hands. "And I can see all five fingers. So tell me why…"

She slowly looked up.

A perfectly circular hole was in the washi paper of the pair of sliding shoji doors in her room that led to the backyard. In front of her was a rose pink plush toy with a darker rose pink lion's mane and a lion's tail. It had little stubby hands and feet and a darker rose pink Leo zodiac symbol on its forehead.

The plush toy used its stubby legs to walk up to Akari. Immediately, Akari slid back until her back had hit the wall. The plush toy stopped walking once it was closer to Akari.

"I am Lilu-lulu! I am the leader of the legendary Zodiac Beasts, and my technical identity is Leo the Lion since I have been brought to life by Leo the Lion's spirit-lulu. I am a fairy from the Garden of Light-lulu," the plush toy, Lilu, explained.

Akari stared at Lilu who claims to be a fairy despite not having any wings. Then, she bent a leg and sent the fairy flying.

"What the fu-"

Random Fact: Originally, Momo and Akari had different names. In the first to third versions, Momo's name was Fujimura Momoka and she went by the nickname Momo. Sometime during the third version, I decided to change her name to Momoko. Now in this version, her name is Fujimura Momoko with Momo as her nickname. In Version 1, Akari's name was Miyamoto Akira. Then, in Version 2, her name was Irisawa Akira. From Version 3 to now, her name is Irisawa Akari.

Wassup!? It's ya gurl sugarsugarrush!

I first started this story on November 10th, 2015 and it's the very first story I've ever released. But it's gone through so many edits. Each edit, I've gone down different routes and then ended up becoming unsatisfied with the outcome or regretting the choices that I made. So, I just start over every time. I bet this site/fandom is tired of me now but I really do want to give this story that I started 9 years ago today an ending.

This new version will take an arc format instead of a monster-of-the-day format. I feel like this is better because there are going to be a lot of characters in this story and I want to have an opportunity to flesh out characters. But ultimately, this is Momo and Akari's story so I want to be able to have time to develop their characters and highlight their growth and character development. So…yeah, this is why I've taken this approach.

Themes and motifs since every Precure series has one: Themes are mental health, inner demons, goals, the past and the future, dreams, wishes, love, and personal growth with celestial bodies and astrology as the motifs.

I have the first 8 chapters already typed up so at least for 4 weeks, I can guarantee 2 chapters a week. But I am a student and I do have a life so I'll do my best to stay on schedule. To the readers who have been following this story since I released the first chapter of the very first version, if y'all are still with me, thank you so much for staying with me! To the readers that have picked up this story and started following it throughout the years, if y'all are still with me, thank you for choosing this constantly changing project. And to new readers who only know this version, if y'all are here, thank you so much for dropping in and I hope you can continue to stay with me. All of my readers! If y'all are still reading this, I promise that I will show my best work with this version!

Let me know what y'all think in a PM or review! The next chapter is coming out very soon!
