Author Notes: Hello! Me, again! I don't own Chuck, but I do have fun writing stories like this.
Echo Park
Chuck entered the apartment. He saw Ellie and her boyfriend, Devon, watching TV.
Ellie looked at Chuck. She quickly noticed something was different about her brother.
"Ellie, Devon don't freak out! Remain calm! I have news." said Chuck
Ellie and Devon stood unmoved. What news Chuck could have?
In a second, like on cue Morgan entered the apartment and jumped in Chuck's back while screaming "Chuck's got a date!"
After hearing the knews Ellie's face was floaded by a mix of happiness, shock and excitement. To say that her brother spent a second thinking about his dating life, after Jill dumped him, was a understatement.
"What?Who?" asked Ellie
"Way to go Chuck! That's awesome!" said Devon
"Oh, God! What are you going to wear?" asked Ellie after she remebered that her brother didn't went to a date in years.
"Ugh…I don't… I will find something Ell. It's no big deal!" said Chuck
"Chuck, you didn't went on a date in years, so yes, it is a big deal!" said Ellie

To say that her day didn't went according to plan was an understatement. She got a date. A real date, with a guy who didn't knew who she was and what she's done. She was excited. She quickly went to her small collection of clothes and found a casual but yet elegant dress.
She looked herself in the mirror. Her first date. Not a cover date. Not a mission date. A actual, real date! She never had date before. Not even with Bryce. Their relationship was limited to only sex. They were enjoying each other's company, but they were never honest or open with their feelings, that if Bryce had feelings for her, cause she felt nothing for him. Yes she thought they could have something… But she was clearly wrong. It was fact that Bryce's betrayal hurt her. She couldn't lie about that. But the reason it hurt her so much was because of the fact she actually trusted Bryce, not because of her feelings for him. Anyway that was with Bryce. Now she was going on a date with a person who didn't lie for living, someone who wasn't a total jerk. And not only that, but she was having her first real date so nothing could ruin her day.
And somehow her phone started ringing. Graham… Great! Nothing could ruin her day, yeah right… It only took a call from the CIA director and her thought of the idea of being a normal person while on this 'vacation' went away from her mind.
"Walker, secure." said Sarah slightly dissapointed
"Graham, secure. Everything alright, agent Walker? You sound dissapointed." said Graham
"No, sir. It just… I thought I was in vacation for the time being and honestly I kinda enjoyed the idea." said Sarah
"Ah! Well you can stay calm, I don't plan to ruin your vacation. If everyone deserves a vacation that's you!" said Graham. He actualy felt sorry for Sarah. He was her mentor, and the agent she became was far from his expectaitions. He knew through that Sarah was longing for a normal life. It was in her psych profile evaluations results. And Graham didn't want to lose her. She was his best agent, his right hand - his enforcer.
"Oh, okay, than what's this about?" asked Sarah
"I wanted to inform you that you have been cleared. But, the info Larkin stole was about a secret NSA-DEA-CIA secret project. The NSA director wasn't so sure of you being cleared. She may send someone after you. As for when you want to return to work, that's your decision. You have 6 months worth of vacation." said Graham
"Thanks for the heads up, sir. And as far for returning to work, I don't plan to return too soon." said Sarah
"I understand. Enjoy your vacation!" said Graham as he ended the call.
Sarah was happy. 6 months of vacation was a long time. Until that day she never thought about a vacation. She was all about work. But after Bryce betrayal, she finally realised that she actually didn't have a life. Family? Her father was in prison. Her mother? She run away from home with her father when she was 10. She abrely remebered her mother. And after everything she did with her father, and then everything she did as a spy she could never be able to look her in the eyes. As for friends… She had two friends, but it was complicated. And as for a love life. She never been in love. But that was going to change… starting now.
6:10 in Buy More Parking Lot…
Sarah came early. She waited for Chuck. It was 6 and 10 minutes and still no sign of Chuck. Did she get stood up?
"Agh… Sorry for being late!" said Chuck as he came running behind her.
"It's ok." she said
"No it's not. I really am sorry." Chuck said
"No really it's ok. I understand. I am in LA for two days already and I saw the traffic." said Sarah
"You don't live in LA?" asked Chuck
"No I am here for a vacation. I am kinda of a workaholic and gathered a lot of vacation days. And I also thought about a change of scenary." she said
"So you're thinking here?" asked Chuck
"Yeah why not? I mean the traffic is not really that good, but La has his charms." she said
"Yeah charm… Do you know how much cost a apartment here?" he said
"I can afford it." said Sarah smiling. "So where to?"
"Well the reason for being late was that my company car broke and actually don't have other car. So we may need to stay local…" said Chuck
"I'm ok with that. I actually don't like fancy restaurants. The food is horrible and the prices are what they are…" said Sarah
"You may be the first person who doesn't like high-end restaurants." said Chuck
"Yeah, well you may be right about that." said Sarah
The two of the went to a Spanish-themed restaurant nearby. Their date was going perfectly.
"So, yeah, I live with my sister and her boyfriend, Captain Aweosme." said Chuck
"No" said Sarah laughing
"It's true." said Chuck
"Wait… you call your sister's boyfriend Captain Awesome?" asked Sarah
"Yeah wait till you meet him. Everything he does is awesome. Climbing, skydiving, flossing" said Chuck
"That's funny." Sarah said
"I'm a funny guy." said Chuck
"Clearly. Which is good because I'm not." said Sarah
"Is that your big secret?" asked Chuck
At the mention of the word 'secret' Sarah shivered. Everything about her life was a secret.
"Cause I've been sitting here trying to find out what's wrong with you." continued Chuck
"Oh, plenty, believe me!" said Sarah
"I was thinking she's either a cannibal or she not really that funny. I was pulling for cannibal, cause I never met one." said Chuck
Sarah smiled as she said said "Not a cannibal, but I did just come out of a long relationship, so I may have baggage."
"I could be your very own baggage handler." said Chuck
Sarah smiled, but for Chuck things became awkward so he changed the subject.
"So the ex… He is the reason for moving away from…" asked Chuck
"D.C., I was living in Washington. And yes the ex is part of the reason. We worked together and the break-up was… not perfect. I realised that was spending too much time working. If we didn't had the same jobs I bet we wouldn't have been together." said Sarah
"Well I am not an expert in relationships, or break-ups. Actually I had a break-up as well. But that isn't important. I really shouldn't talk about that." said Chuck
"Why?" asked Sarah
"My sister tells me that women are not interested in hearing stories about exes." said Chuck.
Sarah was surprised by Chuck, both funny and honest.
"Well, I'm interested." said Sarah.
"Oh, ok. But it is a long story." responded Chuck
"I won't go anywhere." said Sarah
"Ok, so I went Stanford. My roommate accused me of cheating, which I never did by the way. My roomate framed me, but I don't know why. In any case I couldn't afford a lawyer so I got expeled. My girlfriend stopped calling me, so I visited her at Stanford, and she told me she doesn't dates cheaters and that we are over." said Chuck
"Oh. Sorry." said Sarah
"That's not all. She also said that she slept with my my ex-roommate." said Chuck
"That… Wow! And I thought my ex was a jerk." said Sarah
"What did he do?" asked Chuck
"Well the break-up was civil. We wanted different things." said Sarah.
The date continued for another hour.
"Chuck, I had fun tonight. Thanks." said Sarah as he kissed Chuck on the cheek which clearly surprised Chuck.
Both Chuck and Sarah exited the restaurant when a masked guy with a gun came to them.
"I came here to free you from your wallets." said the thief while showing the gun.
Sarah wasn't planning on fighting the thief, as long as he left after they gave them their wallets. Of course both Chuck and Sarah gave their wallets to the thief.
"You know, darling your man may need to learn how to protect you. Maybe this will teach him a lesson." said the man as he got ready to assault Sarah.
Sarah was ready to respond to the attack, violently. But, before she had a chance to attack the thief she noticed Chuck's eyes rolling over like was having a seizure. Two seconds later Chuck grabbed the hand of the thief and dissarmed him with ease. After that Chuck used his legs to trip the thief.
"You should've took our wallets and left" said Chuck as he took back both his and Sarah's wallets. He also took the thief's gun and tossed in dumpster. "Let's go." said Chuck to Sarah as he gave her back her wallet.
"Wow that's impressive." said Sarah amazed. She didn't picture Chuck being able to fight like that. It wasn't that impressive, and if she was the one fighting Chuck she could easily block his moves, but that was because she was a trained spy. If she was the one who attacked the thief, the guy would've ended in the morgue.
"Agh, it was nothing." said Chuck
"From my perspective, you are my hero, Chuck. And maybe for our next date you will be the one who asks me out. You still have my number, right?" said Sarah smiling
"Yeah I still have it." said Chuck
"Good, don't wait too long or I may, again, be the one to aske you out." said Sarah teasing. The two went separate ways.
Later, Echo Park, Chuck's room
Chuck was on his computer working on his father's program. The 'flash' he had while he was with Sarah wasn't intentional. He didn't reggreted. If the 'flash' didn't occured when it did, he would've triggered one. The bad part was he wasn't the one who triggered the 'flash'. The program went on auto-pilot when Sarah was in danger and the 'flash' just happened. Chuck wanted to update the program so he could have more control of when the flashes get triggered. He wanted to be the one who controlled the flashes, not having the flashes happening at random times. While coding on his computer, he found something in his father's original code. That part of the code intrigued Chuck, so he created a copy of the code and run it on a virtual machine. Without the whole program the copied code only opened a window with a lot of commands

Whisper Protocol can't start
Chuck read the text in his face. From what he understood the code he ran was meant to start something named Whisper Protocol for the program. The program looked like it was called Intersect and had a debug mode named Key. It was also clear to Chuck that the Intersect could do more than give him information and skills. The complexity of the program was amazing. From what it looked like Chuck, only had a piece of the program. What could the entire program do? Where was the rest of the program? There were a lot more questions and the only person who had all the answers was his father. After the whole decided to work later at the update. He unplugged the USB and hid it in a secret place in his room. After that he went to sleep.

Sarah was happy. She was in a state of bliss. It was amazing. She never thought she could be that happy. And as for Chuck… She enjoyed every second around him. She actually decided that when she will return to work, she will request for a transfer in LA. It wasn't just because she wanted to be near the man who easily captured her heart, even if Chuck was the main reason. She also loved being near a beach. Not to mention the fact LA had a lot of clubs, where she can go to dance and have fun. She took of her dress. She was only in her underwear and went to sleep into the bed.
Vulkoff Industries HQ, Russia
"Monsieur Vulkoff, let's be reasonable. We are civil, business men after all." said a man with a French accent
"Mr. Fournier you are right. We are business men. And I decided to end our business together." said Alexei Vulkoff with an harsh and sever tone.
"Now monsieur…" started Fournier saying when he got shot.
Alexei smiled as the person who shot Fournier appeared. A woman. Long brown hair with hazel eyes. Her facial expression showed no trace of remorse, guilt or regrets for what she has done.
"Frost, I didn't expect your visit. Is there anything wrong?" asked Vulkoff.
"Alexei, I have doubts about Fulcrum. They separated themselves from The Ring." said Frost
"Don't worry. I have everything under control." said Vulkoff with small smile on his face
Somewhere not far away…
"Damm it! How does he do it?" said Zondra Rizzo
"Alexei Vulkoff has men everywhere. I said this once and I will say it again the guy is invincible. We can't beat him. Not if we continue playing by our rules, while them have no rules." said Celine Pryer
"Celine, if we don't follow the rules we are as good as them. And nobody is invincible. Alexei Vulkoff will fall, the only question is when." said Zondra
"Well, we lost Matt. His cover as David Fournier was pretty good for us. We at least got some names." said Celine
"Yeah Fulcrum and Frost." said Zondra. She wasn't happy. She was stucked on this annoying assignment because of Sarah Walker. She didn't blame her through. Sarah found a bug inside her heel. Their mission got compromised. Someone betrayed them. She was cleared. But their team got disbanded. Zondra wouldn't admit it, but she missed Sarah. Sarah was the only person Zondra could call a friend.
Next morning in LA at the Buy More…
"I have to admit it, that was unexpected…" said Jeff
"Unexpected? Jeffrey? This is a disaster! If Harry Tang becomes assistant manager we are doomed. DOOMED!"
"I guess someone read too much Fantastic Four comics. I don't mind Marvel fans, but I prefer DC comics." said Chuck behind them.
"Really what's your favorite superehero?" asked Jeff
"That will be Shazam! He's so awesome. A kid with magic powers who make him be on the same level with Superman? Duh!" said Chuck
"Nobody can beat Superman, Charles. That's why Superman is 'super'!" said Lester.
"So what does it have you guys concerned?" asked Chuck
"Harry Tang is back! And he's running for assistant manager. He will ruin the store." said Lester
"Sounds bad!" said Jeff as he shivered
Chuck thought for a moment. Harry Tang assistant manager? That's a nightmare. Buy More was full crazy people. Few of the employee were actually sane. But in spite of that the store was still a ok job. I mean he did have limited options, but he couldn't complain. If Tang became the assistant manager that would change everything. Tang was a despot! And someone needed to stop him…
Author notes: Well I hope you enjoyed this new chapter. I plan to release the next 4 chapters of this story together so you may need to wait a while for the next chapter. As you may noticed this story is far more different from canon and yet has some small resemblance to it. Anyway please give me some reviews.
