Hey everyone! I have made a decision on my Pokemon fanfiction, and I will be posting it again. However, you as my reader need to understand from my point of view that... yes, as a fanfiction writer, I do like hearing people's suggestions and what not. But I don't like how certain readers (whether you are a guest or not) like to announce the title of what I'm about to write next or decide to write predetermined dialogue for me when I haven't written that episode chapter yet. When readers like that do those kinds of things, it makes me upset, it gets me angry, and it makes me want to stop writing all together.

If you as readers really want me to continue writing my fanfiction, then that's what I'll do because writing fanfiction makes me happy. If you honestly dont like the way I'm writing the story for any fandom that I write for, then you can make yourself an account on any fanfiction website and write it yourself. You don't have to physically read mine.

I DO NOT OWN POKEMON. I ONLY OWN MY OC, THE NICKNAME FOR HER POKEMON PARTNER AND THE POKEMON TEAMS THAT SHE HAS FOR EACH REGION IN THE FANDOM! TO THOSE WHO ARE PLANNING ON ASKING ME IF THEY CAN COMMISSION ARTWORK FOR MY POKEMON OC, THE ANSWER IS NO! WHY? BECAUSE ITS MY OC THAT I CREATED AND NO ONE IS ALLOWED TO DO THE ARTWORK BUT ME! MY DECISION IS FINAL!

Shoutouts:

Guest-Thanks. I appreciate those who are extremely supportive (if not all), and I hope that one day people will understand that. As for the other thing, you'll have to see if I'm going to do that or not.

Guest 2-Oh...I have plans for how I want to do that episode!

"That's right. I declare to the Pokémon of the world. I will be the greatest Pokémon trainer, the greatest Pokémon Master of all time!"

Narrator: As his adventures began, Ash and his sister, Riley, our heroes from Pallet, chose Pikachu, a Pokémon who wasn't too thrilled with its new trainer.

Riley: Hey! It wasn't our fault that Pikachu decided to shock us when we first met it!

Narrator: Right. Riley is Ash's eight-year-old sister and gets to take care of her first Pokémon egg.

Riley, rubbing the egg: Which I'm hoping that it will hatch really soon. It's close to hatching. I can feel it.

Narrator: How exciting. Anyway, a flock of angry Spearow nearly finished them off, but the injured Pikachu saved the day with its thunder shock power.

"Pikachu, are you alright?" asked Ash.

Narrator: Pikachu regained its health at the Pokémon center in Viridian City, which soon found itself under attack.

"What are, who are they?" asked Ash.

Narrator: They are Jessie and James of the notorious Team Rocket, who, with Meowth, attacked the Pokémon center, hoping to steal some rare Pokémon. But their sinister plans were thwarted by Ash, Riley and Pikachu, who next journeyed into the Viridian Forest, where Ash made his first catch.

"Yes! I did it! I got Caterpie!" shouted Ash as Riley sang a little song and dances around him.

Narrator: Next, he caught Pidgeotto.

"Yes! We got Pidgeotto!" shouted Ash.

Narrator: And even more surprises were to come.

"Caterpie, this is great." said Ash as Caterpie evolves.

Narrator: Caterpie evolved into Metapod

Misty screams, causing a group of bird Pokémon to fly away. "What's wrong now?" asked Ash and Riley.

"I think I see another bug. Gross!" said Misty, hanging on a branch.

"Maybe it's a…" said Ash then he, Riley and Pikachu sighed. "Cow-terpie."

"Ugh." said Pikachu as he, Riley and Misty didn't think it was funny.

"Good pun, just not a funny one." said Riley.

"You know I hate bugs, and I saw one right over there." said Misty. Suddenly, another caterpillar like Pokémon appeared with a small horn on its head. "A Weedle!" Ash exclaimed.

"Weedle, the stinger on this Pokémon's head guarantees that any attacker will get the point right where it hurts." said Dexter.

"A stinger, huh?" said Ash. "Now, there's a challenge."

"Why are you so excited about a bug with a stinger? Make it go away!" demanded Misty.

"You got to be kidding." said Ash.

"Does she look like she's kidding, Ash?" asked Riley, gesturing to Misty.

"So? You can't possibly expect a great Pokémon trainer like me to let a Weedle escape." Ash tells her. "I'm going to catch it."

"I hope you get hurt by Weedle." muttered Riley just as Ash was about to get a Pokeball.

"Oh! Oh, yeah, I almost forgot." said Ash. "You have to weaken a Pokémon before you capture it. Let's go, Pikachu."

"Pikachu." said Pikachu, laying in what seems to be a bed.

"Seriously?" asked Riley. "You're going to be like that, Pikachu?"

"Ah, taking a nap, huh?" asked Ash, then takes out Pidgeotto and Metapod. "Okay, you snooze, you lose. There's still Pidgeotto and Metapod to do the job, and they give me the respect I deserve."

"You deserve to have your head examined." said Misty.

"I kept telling our mom that for the last few months. He really needs to have that done." said Riley watching Weedle crawl over to Misty's leg. Misty screams as she runs away from Weedle and Riley walks over to the small Pokémon.

"Don't feel bad. She just doesn't like any kind of bugs." Brielle tells Weedle. It nodded in understanding.

"Don't just stand there! Catch it!" screamed Misty.

"Have no fear. Ash is here." said Ash. "Pidgeotto, I choose you! Pidgeotto, Gust Attack!"

"Pidgeo!" screeched Pidgeotto, flapping its wings as the dirt picks up. Pidgeotto takes flight and goes for Weedle.

"That's the way to do it!" said Ash.

"Oh boy." said Riley, shaking her head.

"This whole forest is crawling with slimy, disgusting Pokémon." said Misty, walking angrily. "I wish they'd all just bug off."

Behind a tree, someone slightly pulls out a sword. "Hi-yah!" said a boy dressed in samurai clothing and his sword drawn out. Misty whimpers and closed her eyes as the sword almost touches her nose.

"Greetings, oh, shrieking maiden." said the boy. "Are you by any chance the Pokémon trainer who comes from Pallet?"

"(Whimpers) No, that's not me." she tells him.

"Alas. My search continues." the boy said, placing his sword back in his holster. "I advise you to refrain from further shrieking while passing through this forest, unless your goal is to attract a horde of Beedrills."

Misty falls to her knees as he walks away. "What a weird kid." said Misty. "I wonder why he'd be looking for a Pokémon trainer from…" She then realizes who the boy meant. "Ah, that's Ash and Riley."

"Weedle!" shouted Weedle as Pidgeotto continued its battle.

"Pidgeotto, watch out for its poison sting!" shouted Ash and Pidgeotto dodges the attack from Weedle. "Ha, nice work."

"This will end badly." said Riley.

"Pi, Pika." said Pikachu.

"Okay, here we go. Weedle, I've got you now." said Ash, ignoring the both of them as Weedle whimpers.

"Greetings. Am I addressing the Pokémon trainer who comes from Pallet?" asked the boy who was with Misty.

"I'm a Pokémon trainer from Pallet, but I'm a little busy." said Ash.

"I'm one too." said Riley, then holds out the egg. "But I can't battle anyone just yet until the Pokémon from my egg hatches." The boy nods at Riley and takes out his sword.

"I have found you at last." he said.

"Ash! Riley!" shouted Misty as she comes running up, causing Ash to look over his shoulder.

"Hiyah!" said the boy, with his sword pointing at Ash.

"That sword doesn't scare me. There's no way you're stealing my Pokémon or my sister's Pokémon egg." said Ash.

"Well, to be fair, that sword does scare me." said Riley.

"I am no Pokémon thief." said the boy.

"Who are you then?" asked Misty.

"I am Samurai. I am also shrewd, fearless and completely invincible in combat." said Samurai. "I have been searching the forest for you."

"What do you want from me?" asked Ash.

"A Pokémon match." said Samurai. "Let us see who triumphs."

"Pika?" asked Pikachu.

"He's weird and he speaks funny too." said Riley.

"You got that right." said Misty.

"Oh, no!" said Ash, then turns around. "I forgot about Weedle. I'll get it. Pokeball, go!"

Ash throws the Pokeball and misses catching Weedle. "Pidgeo." said Pidgeotto as it soared through the sky.

"Pidgeotto, return!" said Ash, recalling the Pokémon. "That Weedle only got away because you mixed me up."

"Don't blame your failure on me." said Samurai. "Your Pokémon handling is dimwitted and clumsy."

"Hey!" shouted Riley. "He can blame you for mixing him up for trying to catch that Weedle."

"No, he can't." Samurai tells her.

"Yes, he can." said Riley, puffing out her face. "You distracted him while in the middle of a battle. You just don't want to admit it."

"Yeah." said Ash in agreement as he walks up to him. "What do you know about Pokémon? I bet could beat you in a Pokémon match blindfolded."

"I wouldn't go that far, Ash." said Misty.

"There is one way to find out." said Samurai.

"Pikachu." said Pikachu.

"Pidgeotto, do your stuff." said Ash and Pidgeotto comes out tired. "Uh-oh."

"Ash, don't you know you have to let your Pokémon rest once in a while?" asked Misty, causing Riley to sigh at her brother.

"Well, I…" said Ash.

"Big brothers are idiots sometimes." said Riley, shaking her head in shame.

"Only a novice goes into battle with a pooped-out Pokémon. Your blunder will cost you dearly." said Samurai and throws out his Pokeball. "Pinsir, assume battle mode."

Suddenly a brown bug Pokémon with claws on its head appears. "That's a Pinsir?" asked Riley, turning her head to the side. "It's a lot bigger than the one I saw on TV."

"Whoa, he's got a Pinsir." said Ash, getting out Dexter.

"Pinsir, this fearsome Pokémon uses its claws to put a powerful squeeze on its opponents." said Dexter.

"That Pinsir looks pretty tough, but Pidgeotto can beat it." said Ash.

"Pidgeo!" cooed Pidgeotto.

"Pidgeotto, sand attack!" shouted Ash and Pidgeotto flaps its wings at the ground, stirring up the sand.

"That's child's play! Pinsir, tackle it!" shouted Samurai and Pinsir quickly runs towards Pidgeotto, knocking it off the ground.

"Pidgeo…" groaned Pidgeotto and Samurai starts laughing.

"You think that's funny?" asked Riley.

"I do." he said. "Your Pokémon is beaten."

"Oh, no. Pidgeotto, return!" said Ash, recalling it.

"Novice. Are you ready to surrender?" Samurai asked.

"No way. I'm just warming up." said Ash, taking out another Pokémon. "Metapod, I choose you now!"

"Watch and weep as Pinsir crushes your Metapod in half." said Samurai and Pinsir moved its claws.

"No." said Ash, imagining Pinsir crushing Metapod in half. "Those claws."

"Ash?" said Misty, getting his attention. "Call off Metapod. Not even a bug deserves this."

"She's right, Ash." said Riley. "I don't want Metapod getting crushed."

"This match is already won." said Samurai and Pinsir goes straight for Metapod.

"Metapod, harden now!" shouted Ash and Metapod hardens its cocoon. Pinsir picks up Metapod and squeezes it as hard as it can, only to get parts of its claws broken. "Pikachu!" exclaimed Pikachu.

"It worked." said Misty.

"Wow! Who knew you could break a claw like that on a Pinsir?" asked Riley, shocked.

"So, now who's the novice?" asked Ash.

"Pinsir, return!" shouted Samurai, recalling Pinsir into its Pokeball. "Clever, quite clever! Pokeball, go!" Out of the Pokeball was a Pokémon that shocked Ash. "Metapod?" he asked. Out in the field were two Metapods. "Metapod, harden like his." said Samurai and Metapod hardens.

"Maximum hardness, Metapod." Ash said to his and it hardens even more. As the day passes, the battle continued.

"More power, Metapod. Samurai's is weakening." said Ash. On the sidelines, Misty, Riley, Riley's Pokémon egg, Loki and Pikachu were sitting in chairs, sunbathing and having drinks.

"Harder, you're the stronger Metapod." said Samurai.

"Misty, I'm bored." said Riley as she takes a sip of her drink.

"Don't worry, Riley. This battle will end soon enough." Misty tells her.

"I hope so." she said, checking on her Pokémon egg who then cozied up to her. "We have better things to do than watch this battle all day."

"Pikachu." said Pikachu. On the other side of the forest, Team Rocket were apparently in a makeshift cardboard car and Meowth was on top, riding. "I'm tired." said James.

"James, stop whining." Jessie tells him.

"But, Jessie, what's the point of dragging this tank around?" he asked her.

"To protect us from Beedrills." Jessie explains. "Ever been stung by one? It hurts."

"Hey, down there, quit chattering. Get a move on." said Meowth.

"What are you doing up there?" asked Jessie.

"Why don't you come help us?" asked James.

"Wish I could but I'm riding lookout." said Meowth.

"Well, look out for this." said Jessie and tips the cardboard tank to the side, causing Meowth to go over the side and scream.

"Ah! Hey, wait a second. Come back! Meowth!" Meowth called out after them.

Ash continued to stare at Samurai as the battle continued. "A little more." said Ash.

"Metapod, full power." said Samurai.

"We could be stuck in this forest for the rest of our lives." said Misty. "Boys can be so stubborn."

"I'll say." said Riley, holding a book in her hand while her arm is wrapped around her egg. "You and your Pokémon didn't spend eight years living with Ash."

"I feel bad for you." Misty tells her.

"Don't be. He's stubborn and hardheaded at times, but Ash is my brother, through and through." Riley said, looking up at her. "You'll get used to it."

During the battle, it got to the point where both boys fell to the ground. "Don't give up!" Ash said through his teeth.

"You wanna to say it, or should I?" asked Riley, blinking at the boys who were staring at their Metapods.

"I'll do it. It'll be easier if both of them heard it from me." said Misty, then turns to the boys. "You two are more hardheaded than your Metapods." Suddenly Misty heard some buzzing in the air.

"Huh?" she said. "What's that noise?"

"A Beedrill swarm approaches." said Samurai. "Our match must end. Metapod, return!"

Riley looks up to see the swarm of Beedrill heading their way. "Ash! Get up!" Riley shouted at her brother.

"Beedrill swarm." said Ash.

"Beedrill, this Pokémon is an evolved form of Weedle, following its Kakuna stage." said Dexter. "It's sting is highly poisonous."

"The Weedle that got away from you has informed the rest of its kind." said Samurai, before running off. "Good day." Just then, a Beedrill swoops down and takes Metapod. "Uh-oh." said Riley and places the egg into her backpack.

"Metapod, return now!" said Ash, trying to get Metapod back, but was too far to get it back into its Pokeball. "Oh no, it got away." Another Beedrill was swooping down at the group.

"Pikachu!" shouted Pikachu, using a thunderbolt. The Beedrill turns back, leaving Ash and smoke behind. "Come on, let's move it." said Misty, grabbing Ash by the arm with Riley pushing him.

"But Metapod…." said Ash.

"Who we'll find when the Beedrill are gone from the area!" shouted Riley as Samurai ran ahead of them.

"They're gaining on us." said Misty.

"I am not going to be stung by Beedrill." said Riley as they followed Samurai around the bush and the Beedrill swam flies past them. They sighed in relief before looking up.

"A whole hive of Kakunas." said Samurai.

"Ash…." whimpered Riley as Misty gave out a small scream.

"Kakuna, a transitional stage between Weedle and Beedrill. Kakuna remain inactive until they evolve into deadly Beedrill and hatch." said Dexter.

"Hey, over there. Its Metapod!" Ash said in a loud voice until Misty places a hand over his mouth.

"Keep your voice down." whispered Misty.

"I think that particular Beedrill thought that it was a Kakuna and not a Metapod that you captured, Ash." said Riley when suddenly the Kakuna looked over at them. Their bodies started to crack open and out comes the newly evolved Beedrills.

"Beedrills, they've evolved." said Misty as the Beedrills went into the air. Ash and the others ran, shouting and panting as they went until a cabin came into view.

"My cabin! I think we can make it!" shouted Samurai. They ran inside and quickly shuts the door, only to be poked by the ends of Beedrills. "Whew, that was close." said Ash.

"Ah, I hope you've learned your lesson, novice." said Samurai, taking off his helmet. "You letting that Weedle escape almost cost our lives."

"Hey, lay off my brother, will ya?" said Riley, rounding on Samurai, causing him to take a step back. "If I remember correctly, which I know that I do, you interrupted him when he was trying to capture that Weedle! If you hadn't have done that, Weedle would have been in a Pokéball right now!"

"Your sister is scary when she angry." said Misty, leaning back towards the wall.

"Don't remind me. I tell ya, she's the spitting image of my mom." groaned Ash as Samurai glares at Riley, who in turn glares even harder at him. "Riley may be small but she's very protective of me. You should see her in a fight against other kids."

"Well, he shouldn't have let it go in the first place." said Samurai.

"Take back that 'novice' crack." said Ash, coming to Riley's rescue.

"I do take it back." said Samurai. "Because not even a novice would abandon his own Pokémon as you did." Ash turns away as Samurai's remark hits home.

"I tried to save Metapod." said Ash.

"Chu." said Pikachu.

"Your Metapod will pay for its trainer's inexperience." Samurai said. "The other trainers from Pallet would never have been so irresponsible."

"Other trainers from Pallet?" asked Ash. "Have you fought Pokémon matches against Gary and the others?"

"Ah. There were three spectacular matches, each more challenging than the last." said Samurai. "Those trainers really knew how to raise Pokémon. Even though I have defeated all three times, I was inspired to redouble my own training. I have been eagerly preparing for that day when finally, I would beat the next Pokémon trainer from Pallet."

"So that's why you've been waiting around here for Ash to show up." said Misty.

"Compared to those other three, novice here is a joke." said Samurai, causing Ash to growl.

"Okay, that's it!" said Riley, standing up and stamps her foot. "The next person who compares Ash to Gary Oak or anyone else from Pallet is going to get a slap in the face from me!"

"Whoa! You're fired up." said Ash, seeing the fire in her eyes.

"That's because it's true. Yeah, you've made a mistake in leaving Metapod behind." said Riley, looking up at her brother. "So what? I know that you'll figure out a way to get Metapod back because I believe in you."

Night fell around Samurai's cabin. Misty, Riley and Samurai were asleep, but Ash was still awake. "Metapod." Ash said softly. The next day, the swarm of Beedrill were hiding in the tree with Metapod still there.

Ash, already dressed, Riley not too far behind him, were crawling on their stomachs towards the tree. "I hope your plan to get Metapod out of there is a good one." Riley whispered to her brother. "Because if I get stung by a Beedrill, I will blame you and you're gonna have to tell mom what happened."

"I promise that you won't get stung by a Beedrill." said Ash and both siblings peered out of the grass. "Hmm."

Just then, Meowth hits Ash and Riley in the head with his feet. "Meowth!" said Meowth. "Do you know what Meowth's favorite game is?"

"Playing with yarn? Chasing a toy mouse? Scratching the furniture?" Riley randomly asked.

"Ugh, get off!" said Ash.

"Scratch and sniffle." said Meowth, scratching Ash's face and leaving three long red scratch marks.

"You know, Meowth, as his little sister….I don't have any control of what he says half the time." said Riley, sitting up and rubbing the back of her head.

"You're cute, kid. I give you that." said Meowth and Ash starts to howl in pain.

"I'll take it what I can get from you, Meowth." said Riley, waving towards the cat.

"Guess who." said James.

"Prepare for trouble."

"Make it double."

"To protect the world from devastation…"

"To untie all peoples within our nation…."

"To denounce the….."

"No, not again, not now!" said Ash.

"We're on a rescue mission here." said Riley but what they said cause Jessie to growl.

"Never interrupt the Team Rocket motto." said Jessie.

"Yeah….but if I wrote down the entire motto, then I would get a hand cramp." said Riley, wagging her fingers at her. Jessie gave her a shocked look until Ash tried to warn them.

"But the Beedrill…." said Ash.

"Ahem." said Jessie.

"To denounce the evils of truth and love…"

"To extend our reach to the stars above…"

"Jessie."

"James."

"Keep it down before you wake up the Beedrills." Ash quietly says to them.

"No Ash, let them finish." whispered Riley. "Just think about it. If they finish their motto out loud, the Beedrill can attack and sting them instead of us."

"That's one idea." said Ash.

"And a tempting one at that." said Riley.

"Team Rocket! Blast off at the speed of light!" said Jessie.

"Surrender now or prepare to fight." said James.

"Meowth! That's right!" said Meowth as red and blue explosions appeared behind Jessie and James. In the tree, the explosions woke up the Beedrill and the swarm starts buzzing its wings. Ash starts screaming and Riley grabs ahold of him.

"Little boy, why don't you give us your Pikachu?" asked Jessie. "There's no use trying to resist us, so be smart and hand over the Pokémon."

"We don't have Pikachu with us! Look around, you crazy people! Do you see Pikachu here?! No!" shouted Riley. "I told you that Ash and I were on a rescue mission, but you blew our cover anyway."

"Riley's right! We don't have Pikachu with us and even if we did, we'd never let you take it." said Ash as both brother and sister ran off from Team Rocket.

"Come back here!" said Jessie and James.

"If we make it past the Beedrills, maybe they'll dive bomb Team Rocket." said Ash.

"I hope they do, and that Team Rocket gets stung painfully by them." said Riley as they continue to run with Team Rocket on their tail. Ash starts yelling as he and Riley do a barrel roll. Jessie, James and Meowth stop in their tracks as the Beedrill head their way.

"The tank will surely come in handy now." said Jessie.

"It was worth the struggle dragging it here." said James and just as he picks it up, there were multiple Weedle, dangling from it.

"What?" said Jessie.

"Meowth! They're eating the tank!" said Meowth.

"Well, we made it from paper to reduce the weight." said James.

"Who knew?" asked Jessie.

"Numskulls!" shouted Meowth. The swarm of Beedrills had their stingers at the ready and chased away a shouting Team Rocket. Ash and Riley run up to Metapod just as Ash gets Metapod's Pokeball. "So, there you are." said Ash.

"We've been worried sick about you." said Riley, giving Metapod a stern look.

"Here, into the Pokeball, Metapod." said Ash.

"Metapod, Metapod." said Metapod.

"Metapod?" said Ash.

"You're starting to worry me, Metapod." said Riley.

"Metapod." said Metapod, giving her reassurance that she didn't have to worry. Suddenly a Beedrill was heading back towards Ash, Riley and Metapod.

"Let's go." said Ash as he picks up Metapod and ran. "I didn't abandon you, Metapod. I just got sidetracked. It was all Samurai's fault. Argh!"

Ash trips over, dropping Metapod and Riley falls on top of him. "No, it wasn't Samurai's fault." said Ash.

"I don't blame you or him, Ash." said Riley.

"I know, Riley." said Ash. "It was my fault anyway. If I was a better Pokémon trainer, I'd stop making all these excuses and be a better role model for my sister."

"Oh, Ash." said Riley, hugging her brother.

"From now on, I swear I'll never run away and leave my friends behind." said Ash, then looks down at Riley. "Or little sisters. No more excuses."

They both went over to Metapod when Ash turns around to see the Beedrill. "Ash! Riley!" Misty called out when she, Pikachu and Samurai came out in a net.

"Watch out for the twin needle attack!" shouted Samurai.

"Pikachu!" shouted Pikachu and suddenly Metapod knew what to do. Metapod jumps up and breaks one of the needles on Beedrill, saving Ash and Riley.

"Metapod!" the brother and sister shouted and the Beedrill buzzed away.

"Are you hurt? Are you ok, Metapod?" asked Ash.

"Speak to us, please." begged Riley. Just then, white light burst through the cocoon.

"Pika, Pika." Pikachu said in awe. Coming out of the green cocoon, was a beautiful butterfly. "Pretty!" exclaimed Riley, reaching out as the butterfly squeaks and flapping its wings.

"Butterfree." said Ash.

"Oh, it's so beautiful." said Misty.

"Pika." said Pikachu.

"Butterfree, one week after Caterpie evolves into Metapod, it again evolves into Butterfree." said Dexter as Butterfree flies by Ash.

"Huh?" said Riley, looking at her backpack as something moved inside.

"What's wrong?" asked Ash and Riley takes out the egg.

"It's my Pokémon egg." said Riley and they were all surrounded by white light. Out from the egg, was a puppy like Pokémon, standing on its hind legs as black fur surrounded its eyes, covering its ears and its hind legs.

"Ri?" cooed the small Pokemon.

"You're so cute." said Riley, placing her hand out towards it.

"Riolu." said the small Pokemon as it looks at Riley with its wide cute eyes. Ash and Riley take out Dexter.

"Riolu, the Emanation Pokémon." said Dexter. "Riolu has the power to see and understand emotions like happiness and anger in aura waves. Riolu can understand how people and Pokémon feel by observing a kind of wave called aura. It has a flexible body with enough power to cross three mountains and two canyons in one night. Not common in the Kanto Region."

"Cool." said Riley, giving her Pokémon a smile. Riolu suddenly starts to feel Riley's aura. Just then, the swarm of Beedrill appears out of the trees.

"Here come the other Beedrill. Riley, Hurry! You and Riolu get inside the net." said Misty as Riley runs with Riolu close behind her.

"Butterfree." said Ash and Butterfree squeaks as it shakes its head. "Yeah. Okay! Butterfree, knock them out with your sleep powder!"

Sparkles come out from Butterfree's wings as it flies over the Beedrill and one by one, the swarm of Beedrill fall to the ground, with Team Rocket among them, sleeping. "Yay! You put them all to sleep!" shouted a happy Ash. "Butterfree you're the best. Heh, hooray!"

"And I'm so happy that you hatched." said Riley as Riolu starts to walk around the young girl, trying to get a better sense of her and her emotions.

"Riolu! Olu!" said Riolu, smiling shy at its trainer.

"You were able to handle your Butterfree so well after it evolved." said Samurai. "Most impressive."

"Riol." said Riolu then looks at Pikachu.

"Pikachu." said Pikachu, smiling widely at his new friend and offers to shake Riolu's hand with his tail. On the edge of the forest, Samurai leads them to a path. "This trail will lead you to Pewter City." said Samurai.

"That's great. But before we leave you, Samurai, we still have to finish our match." said Ash.

"Compared with you, my friend, I am the novice." said Samurai. "But I will keep perfecting my technique and one day, we will meet again."

"I'm sure it will be a most spectacular match." said Ash.

"And on that day, I will probably battle you, with Riolu." said Riley, looking at her now prized Pokémon beside her.

"Riolu." said Riolu, nodding in agreement.

"That is guaranteed." said Samurai.

"Just promise not to match Metapod verses Metapod again." said Misty.

"Pikachu." said Pikachu, folding its arms.

"That was the most boring part of the match in the whole history of Pokémon battles." said Riley.

"Ri?" Riolu asked.

"I'll tell you about it on the way to Pewter City." she tells it.

"Olu." said Riolu.

"Until then, Samurai." said Ash as he and Riley wave.

"See ya!" said Misty.

"Pikachu."

"Riolu!"

"Farewell." said Samurai.

Narrator: With Team Rocket thwarted for now and Riley's egg has finally hatched, Ash, Riley and their friends leave the Viridian Forest and set their sights on Pewter City.

Riley: I can't wait to tell my mom about my Riolu.

Riolu: Riolu!

Narrator: I'm happy for you.

Riley: Thanks. (turns to face Riolu) I wonder if you're a boy or a girl…

Riolu, shrugging its shoulders: Riolu, Olu!

Riley: We'll find out later.

Back in the Viridian Forest, Team Rocket was in the tree. "Do you have any more bright ideas?" asked James as he, Meowth and Jessie were in makeshift Kakuna costumes.

"Well, unlike you, at least I have ideas." said Jessie.

"Yeah, and they're all bad." said Meowth.

"Who asked you?" asked Jessie, causing the Kakuna and Beedrill in the tree to look over at them.

"Uh-oh!" said James.

"Oh, no!" said Jessie.

As they disturbed the peace in the tree, Team Rocket gets stung with poison by the swarm of Beedrill.
