Norman sent out a huge beast of a Pokemon while Eri sent out onion
"Slaking! Use body slam!" Norman said
"Dodge and use Brick break!" Eri said
Slaking threw itself at onion but onion dodged and chopped at Slaking dealing decent damage
"Now use mach punch!" Eri said
Onion punched slaking right in the gut
Slaking began to loaf around
then dexter activated
"Slaking's ability is truant an ability that makes it so it can only move every so often."
"Use mega drain!" Eri said
However, instead of using mega drain onion launched a massive seed that exploded
"Huh?" Eri said while thinking (Koko must've taught it that move while I was sleeping...)
With that seed bomb slaking went down
"Go vigoroth!" Norman said sending out Vigoroth "Use retaliate!"
Vigoroth landed a devastating blow but Onion held on
"Brick break!" Eri said
Onion hit back with a chop
"Facade!" Norman said
"Mach punch!" Eri said
Onion moved quickly going under Vigoroth's blow and landing a gut punch knocking out Vigoroth
"Go slaking!" Norman said sending out another slaking
"Use Poison powder!" Eri said
"Facade!" Norman said
Slaking went through the powder and hit onion with a facade knocking out Onion
"Go! Skippy!" Eri said sending out Skippy
Slaking was loafing around
"Earthquake!" Eri said
The ground began to shake doing tons of damage
"Facade!" Norman said
Slaking attacked but Skippy grabbed it
just as Slaking began to overpower skippy he began to glow
He was evolving
"SWAMPERT!!!" Skippy yelled as he pushed slaking off
Dexter activated
"Swampert the mud fish Pokemon a water and ground type. If it senses the approach of a storm and a tidal wave, it protects its seaside nest by piling up boulders. It swims as fast as a jet ski."
Slaking began to loaf around
Water began to surround skippy's fists
"Swamp!" Skippy said before punching slaking in the face
"Skippy has learned liquidation!"
"Slaakking..." slaking said unable to battle
"Well then you best me." Norman said, "Well the balance badge is yours!"
He handed Eri the badge
"With that Badge, the Defense of all your Pokémon will increase. Pokémon that know the HM move Surf will be able to travel over water. This is my gift to you. Eri, I'm sure you can use it correctly." Norman said before handing Eri a tm "TM42 contains Facade. It doubles the power of moves if the Pokémon is poisoned, paralyzed, or burned. It might be able to turn a bad situation into an advantage."
Norman let out a content sigh
"You remind me of my son, Brendan he lives in Johto but he should be moving here soon. I hope he can give you a battle as good as the one you gave me." Norman said
"Oh, yes… Wally's parents came calling earlier. They said that they had something they wanted to give you, Eri."
"Okay." Eri said
Eri then left the gym
Eri walked out and was greeted by a man
"You're Wally's friend, eri right?" He asked
Eri nodded
"Well, I wanted to give you something as thanks for helping my boy." Wally's dad said before handing eri the hm for surf "Thank you."
After Wally's dad left Eri taught skippy surf before looking at her map
"Okay, so I have to go back to Mauville." Eri said, "Let's go then."
After an hour of walking Eri ended up back at Mauville and took the right exit and ended up at the seaside route
"Okay...Let's do it." Eri said sending out skippy
She was extremely nervous since she never used surf before
Eri slowly got on skippy's back
"Okay, skippy. Let's swim slowly." Eri said
"Swampert." Skippy said
Skippy began to swim
After a few minutes, Eri reached the land
"I made it." Eri said
After a bit of walking, she saw a familiar face
Steven Stone.
Steven then noticed her
"Eri. It's good to see you again." Steven said, "Have you gotten stronger?"
Eri nodded
"I have a swampert!" Eri said
"Wonderful!" Steven said
Just then they heard a cry
And then blue Pokemon appeared
"The legendary Eon Pokemon Latios!" Steven said, "What's it doing here?"
"Latios!" Latios said gesturing to his back
"You want us to come with you?" Steven asked, "Eri I think Latios needs our help."
Eri nodded and with Steven's help got on Latios's back and with incredible speed to an island
once they landed Latios flew off again
"Hmm...I wonder what's going on?" Steven questioned, "Eri we should explore."
Eri nodded before they followed the trail
After walking a bit they found a red Pokemon in front of a fountain of some kind
"The legendary Pokemon Latias." Steven said, "Is this what Latios wanted us to see?"
"Hold it right there." A voice said
They turned around and saw a large man and a team aqua grunt
"That legendary Pokémon belongs to team Aqua!" The man said, "So move!"
"Over my dead body." Steven said, "Eri will you lend me your aid?"
Eri nodded
"Good." Steven said before giving Eri two stones "Judging by your hair clip you are familiar with mega evolution."
Eri nodded as she put the keystone in her hair clip and sent out skippy
the team aqua grunt sent out a poochyena while the man sent out a sharpedo
"The mega stone I gave you is swampertite." Steven said as he sent out his metang "Why don't you give it a shot."
"Give me strength." Eri said after giving the stone to skippy and tapping her hair clip
Skippy began to transform into mega swampert
"Oh no..." the man said
"SWAMPERT!!!" Skippy yelled upon finishing its transformation
"Skippy! Use earthquake!" Eri said
Steven returned his metang immediately
the ground began to shake as skippy took out Sharpedo and poochyena
"Grrrr you'll regret that!" The man said before he and the grunt left
"It looks like Latias is safe." Steven said
Latias then cuddled up to Eri
"Hmm, it seems Latias would like to go with you." Steven said, "At the very least for its own protection."
"M-Me?" Eri questioned
"Yes. You've been chosen to take care of a legendary Pokémon. It's a great honour." Steven said
"But... I'd like to keep using the team I have instead of having to use a strong legendary." Eri said
(She's choosing to stick with her team instead of using the legendary Pokemon? She is an odd one.) Steven thought to himself
Latias then surprised everyone there by turning into a human girl with a latiasite necklace
"Well, that solves that problem." Steven said, "Latias can accompany you in a human disguise while its Pokeball remains in this."
He pulled out a portable Pokemon storage from a bag
"It's a portable Pokemon storage you can pull out Pokemon from your pc with it," Steven explained
Eri nodded before throwing a Pokeball at Latias
Latias went into the Pokeball and after 3 shakes was caught and sent to the pc
Eri opened up the portable storage and tried to pull out Latias's Pokeball but couldn't
"Oh allow me." Steven said before pushing the "7th Pokeball override" button
Eri was able to get the ball out and sent out Latias
"Now then Latias can you return us to the mainland?" Steven asked
And Latias nodded
Omake 7# Never ending torment (What if Eri died because of the portal)
A few seconds after Eri disappeared she reappeared but she was...Transparent
midoriya, mirio and Overhaul stopped their battle to look at Eri
She had this... hundred-yard stare
"Eri?" Midoryia asked
"...I was meant to be new..." Eri said, "...I was meant to be seen as Hope."
Eri's voice had this odd echo to it
Eri walked towards the 3
"...But now they look at me in horror...In pity." Eri said "You've wounded me... I give you full marks for that."
that last bit was directed toward overhaul
"...But like the man said, "What kills me..." Eri said
Suddenly Eri was grabbed and ripped in two by a red and white creature
"...Just makes me stronger." Eri continued as her voice came out of the creature
The remnants of Eri's original form slowly faded away
"Oh...Shit..." Overhaul said fully aware that the yakuza maybe even the heroes too...
...Were on Eri's shit list and were not safe
"So...Who's first?" Eri asked
