Alessandra walked toward an elevator, confidence swelling through her as she walked in as the doors closed behind her, pressing a button to go to the top floor.
As confident as she was, she was also admittedly a bit nervous. Not only was she going against the top champion, but she was going against opponents that were giving her a run for her money, not to mention it was a few close wins as well.
She almost lost to Ruby, which, she had to admit, is a really scary Pokemon trainer. So energetic, and yet so absurdly strong. There was Hiyoko who threw her for a loop and then Rika and Hassel were really strong opponents.
Who knows what Geeta might be capable of, although considering she knew her team beforehand due to her friendly bout with Gloria, she should be fine. But something told her that Geeta might have something up her sleeve.
Now's no time to be cocky… otherwise someone like Nemona would run her over, or Gloria would eat her for dinner.
Now's not the time to get all fancy. Now was the time to be strategic and be focused.
Ding!
Showtime.
Alessandra took a deep breath and exhaled, slowly walking out as Geeta was leaning on a railing overlooking Mesagoza.
"Beautiful night, isn't it?" Geeta smiled, casually sipping some iced coffee.
"Yeah, it sure is."
"I've watched you clawing your way to the top with no one slowing you down in the slightest. Reminds me of a certain someone I know." Geeta giggled. "I have to say, I was surprised that, despite not being a student, Miss Saionji was not your ordinary Pokemon Trainer. She certainly threw me for a loop, though… I did keep her on her toes. As you probably could guess, I still lost."
"I remember your Pokemon in your exhibition match with Glori. I think I know what to expect."
"Oh, do you now~?" Geeta chuckled. "Well, we'll see how that pans out."
Geeta walked toward the battle arena, pitching her coffee into the trash can. "I look forward to your exhibition match with Champion Gloria. You two are very good friends, so I can imagine this will be a match to remember… but I recall that you were to fight her after you become Champion."
"Yes."
"So let's see if you become a champion." Geeta said. "And, pardon me for saying something so unbecoming of a chairwoman, but I'm utterly incapable of holding back in a fight. It might explain why we haven't had many champions as of late. The most recent before Hiyoko was… well… Nemona, and even I pushed her to her limits."
Geeta let out a chuckle. "I know you've seen my Pokemon against Gloria… but I can assure you that this will be nothing like the exhibition match. Are you ready?"
Alessandra activated a Pokeball. "Yes."
Geeta chuckled. "Good."
BGM: Battle! Geeta (Pokemon Masters EX)
Geeta adjusted her glove as she activated a Pokeball as well.
"Then let's see if you can prove yourself."
La Primera - Geeta
The women both sent out their first Pokemon, calling out Glimmora and Rio.
"Glimmoooor!"
"Quava!"
Glimmora immediately set up a Light Screen as Rio ran toward Glimmora and used Aqua Step, striking Glimmora in the face as Toxic Spikes were spewed about. Surprisingly, Glimmora didn't flinch from the Aqua Step, causing Rio to raise an eyebrow and backed up right as Glimmora used Earth Power where Rio stepped on.
"Quava…" Rio shook it off and used Close Combat, but Glimmora easily floated away and tackled him, striking him with Sludge Wave. Rio launched himself with Wave Crash, but Glimmora floated up to avoid the attack and fired a Power Gem.
This one's squirrely… Alessandra thought as Rio jumped over with an Acrobatics, Goomba Stomping on Glimmora in the process.
"Mora!" Glimmora yelped as Rio landed on the ground. He then cartwheeled to avoid an Earth Power and then went for an Aqua Step, dancing around and then roundhousing Glimmora as he used another Power Gem, both moves connecting as Glimmora was knocked to the ground, but he was barely able to get back up.
Rio swung his leg at Glimmora, only for it to counter attack with Power Gem, making Rio back up as Glimmora then used Earth Power, but Rio backflipped to avoid the attack. Rio wrapped himself in water and lunged with Wave Crash, this time connecting as Glimmora went down, though the recoil was enough to make Rio fall on his knees… but he slowly rose.
Geeta pulled Glimmora back and then sent out an Espathra. "Espa Pa!"
Alessandra immediately switched Rio for Raffia, who immediately charged up a Shadow Ball and shot it toward Espathra, but it was blocked by Protect as Raffia immediately ran over, his tail glowing and hitting her with Iron Tail… only to get hit with a Dazzling Gleam. "UMBREEE!"
"Raffia!" Alessandra called out as Raffia was knocked down, but staggered up. With a growl, the Umbreon used Dark Pulse as Espathra responded with Shadow Ball, both moves colliding into each other and exploded.
Raffia closed his eyes and let the moon shine down, letting the Moonlight perk him back up a little. He leapt through the smoke with an Iron Tail, only to smack into a Protect and then was launched out with a Dazzling Gleam, sending Raffia down to the ground and knocked out.
"Ooooh…" Alessandra recalled Raffia, kicking herself for not thinking about switching him out sooner as she sent out Wisp.
"Ceru!" Wisp cried, immediately charging toward the Espathra with his blades igniting. Espathra responded by using Protect, only for Wisp to stop in his tracks and crossed his arms to use Swords Dance, and once Protect wore off, Wisp immediately struck with Shadow Claw.
Espathra let out a cry as Wisp jumped back just in case, which turned out to be a good thing as Espathra fired off a Shadow Ball, but Wisp batted it away with his sword arms and sent it back toward Espathra, who quickly put up a Protect to panic block it.
By the time the Protect wore off, Wisp was already in range and slashed through Espathra with Shadow Claw, knocking her down for the count.
"Impressive." Geeta said as she recalled Espathra and then sent out Avalugg.
"Luuuugg!"
Weird, I haven't seen her Gogoat yet… better stay vigilant just in case. Alessandra thought while Wisp used another Swords Dance as Avalugg unleashed Avalanche on him, but Wisp rolled out of the way and ran toward her, immediately hitting Avalugg with Bitter Blade, but due to Avalugg's high defense, he bounced off of her… but that didn't stop Wisp from trying again.
"Ava." Avalugg stomped on the ground, unleashing Earthquake to trip up Wisp.
"Ceru!" Wisp yelped, falling on his butt as Avalugg jumped up and used Heavy Slam, but Wisp rolled away to avoid getting crushed as he proceeded to use Flare Blitz to finish off Avalugg, causing her to sink to the ground while Wisp was on one knee after that massive attack, but stood strong.
Okay, so what's left… a Veluza, Gogoat and Kingambit… so likely, I'm pretty sure she's going to call out one of those three.
Geeta tossed the Pokeball in the air.
Sherry and Wisp would be perfect for those three and then I'm the champion. Hehe, checkmate, Gee-
"Dragapullll!"
…Since when did she have a Dragapult?!
"That look in your eyes claims I have caught you off-guard. Excellent~"
Okay… new plan. Don't jinx yourself in your damn thoughts.
Wisp immediately set up a Swords Dance and charged straight for the Dragapult, ready to use Bitter Blade… but Dragapult used Sucker Punch to stop him in his tracks and hit him with a point blank Shadow Ball to finish Wisp off.
Alessandra immediately switched to Sherry who immediately squared up.
"Pulllllt!" Dragapult immediately fired Dragon Darts at Sherry, who swiftly avoided them as she used Leaf Storm to cover herself. Dragapult fired more Dragon Darts in the storm, but the Dreepy looked around disoriented as Sherry snuck up behind Dragapult and used Triple Axel.
"Dragaaaa!" Dragapult responded with Thunderbolt, hitting Sherry as she backed up and shook off the electricity as then got pelted with Dragon Darts as Sherry was knocked back but she quickly ran straight for Dragapult where she went for a Sucker Punch, but Sherry slid to avoid it and used a Trop Kick as a counter, knocking the Dragapult back as Sherry then used Triple Axel to finish off the Dragapult.
"Dragaaa…" Dragapult groaned as she fell.
Geeta chuckled as she pulled Dragapult away and then sent out her next Pokemon.
"Nauuught!"
"A Chesnaught, eh?" Alessandra mused as she recalled Sherry and then sent out Tut.
"Espa Paaaa!"
"A fellow Espathra user, hmm? How wonderful~" Geeta smiled as Tut immediately toward Chesnaught and immediately used Lumina Crash, but Chesnaught immediately put up a Spike Shield, following by Bulking Up as Chesnaught then shot off a few Leech Seeds, where the seeds wrapped around the Espathra to hold her in place.

"Hmhmhmhm~" Geeta chuckled. "Do you remember when I said I was incapable of holding back?"
"Yeah?"
Geeta crossed her arms in the shape of an X. "I wasn't joking." She said, as her sleeve rolled down a little bit to show off a bracelet, where it started to glow.
BGM: Battle! Tapu (Pokemon Sun and Moon)
Alessandra's eyes widened. "Is that…?!"
"Chesnaught! Let's go all out!" Geeta declared, immediately punching the air a few times to get Chesnaught all pumped up.
"CHES… NAAAAAAAAAUUUUUUUUUUGHT!" Chesnaught cried, immediately swooping in and unleashing a flurry of punches and kicks toward Espathra before jumping back and then came in with a powerful haymaker, sending her and Tut into a wall, crashing into it with enough force to shatter the entire wall and nearly made the elevator obsolete.
When the dust settled, Tut was completely KO'd as Chesnaught dragged him out from the rubble.
"What… what…?!" Alessandra exclaimed.
"Who knew a simple business trip to Alola would yield fruitful results?" Geeta casually hummed as Chesnaught got back on her side of the field while Alessandra stared at her KO'd Espathra in disbelief.
What… what the hell just happened…?! She thought, her eyes blank and shaky. She remembered to recall her Espathra and, due to her rattled state, she sent out Rio. "Shit… no!" She growled but then an idea came to her. Perhaps Acrobatics might be the key.
It seems I've rattled her~ Geeta thought.
Rio immediately ran toward Chesnaught, proceeding to use Acrobatics but Chesnaught used Spiky Shield as Rio winced upon the hit as he tried to flip back, but Chesnaught grabbed his ankle and slammed him to the ground, then Drain Punched his gut to knock him out.
"No!" Alessandra exclaimed as she recalled Rio and closed her eyes, taking a few deep breaths to calm herself down. Focus… this is probably how Geeta rattles everyone… okay… you got this. Focus.
It seems she's calmed herself down. Geeta smiled.
Alessandra sent Sherry back out, who immediately started off with Leaf Storm as Chesnaught looked around before Bulking Up, and then used Spiky Shield just in case. She shifted her eyes, wondering where Sherry might be at.
She would then notice the Leaf Storm got thicker and then thicker again, practically blinding Chesnaught. "Naught…" Chesnaught growled, trying to use Spiky Shield again. Once the Spiky Shield failed, Sherry swooped in and Triple Axeled her, pushing her back.
"Ches!" Chesnaught grunted as she went for a blind Drain Punch, but Sherry swiftly dodged it as she went for a High Jump Kick, knocking Chesnaught back as she responded with Spiky Shield, where Sherry stood in wait, and when the spikes retracted, Sherry went in with another Triple Axel, knocking Chesnaught down right as the Leaf Storm dissipated.
"Phew…" Alessandra sighed in relief.
"I don't remember the last time I've had this much fun~" Geeta hummed.
She pulled Chesnaught away and then sent out her last Pokemon, Kingambit… who immediately powered up due to Supreme Overlord.
"We got this, Sherry." I hope!
"Reena!"
"It's a shame that you can't Terastalize, but it is what it is." Geeta said as she proceeded to Terastalize Kingambit, where he received the Flying Tera Jewel.
"GAMMMBIT!"
Flying…? We might have a shot here. MIGHT. Alessandra clenched her fists with a not-so-confident smirk.
Sherry proceeded to use Leaf Storm to try and blind Kingambit and then ran ahead to try and use Triple Axel, but Kingambit calmly used Tera Blast, which given how it was Flying type, ripped through the leaves and struck Sherry.
"Tsarrr!" Sherry cried as she fell on her back, and then Kingambit used Kowtow Cleave immediately after, leaving her no time to recover and finished her off.
"Nnnngh…" Alessandra grimaced as she recalled Sherry and then sent out Athena.
"Dragoooo!"
Kingambit leaned forward, seemingly smirking at Athena as she immediately used Rain Dance. Athena then used Hurricane to try and make Kingambit dizzy, but he held strong and brushed it off as he used Tera Blast, pushing Athena back.
"Kiiiingaaaaaam!" Kingambit swung Kowtow Cleave down, but Athena caught the blade with her hands as she was pushed down on her knees as Kingambit tried to push her down further but Athena let out a growl, pushing him back up as hard as she could.
"Drago… GOOOOO! GONIIIIIIIITE!/GAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAM!"
The rain made Athena's hands slip as Kingambit swung down and struck Athena, sending her to the ground… however, a massive lightning bolt crashed down onto Kingambit. "GAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAM!"
Kingambit fell to the ground while Athena used her wings to support herself, bringing herself back up as Kingambit struggled to get up, only for Athena to fly into her and used Steel Head, slamming into Kingambit to knock him down to the ground, finishing the fight.

The rain stopped as the ladies heard cheering from down below. Alessandra's eyes widened in shock… even after that slip up where she got rattled, she couldn't believe it.
She did it.
"I… I did it…?"
Geeta slowly clapped with a smile on her face. "You did it."
Reality started to creep into Alessandra, as her knees buckled as she fell on her butt. All that came out of her mouth was laughter as she put her hand over her forehead. Relief also washed over to her due to how severely close it was.
Athena towered over her and knelt down to see if she was okay. Alessandra immediately hugged her Dragonite as she hugged her back, then helped her up.
"Down to the wire… I didn't think how exhilaratingly exhausting it'd get." Alessandra said.
Geeta smiled. "That's the beauty of Pokemon Battles, it gets really insane at times that sometimes it feels overwhelming, but also rewarding."
"Buh hu hu hu hu huuuu! That was the most beautiful battle ever…!" Hassel sobbed as the Elite Four arrived.
"That was amazing!" Poppy exclaimed.
"Not bad, kiddo." Larry gave her a soft smile.
"You really are a hell of a gal. I'm impressed!" Rika smiled.
Geeta walked over to her. "Come on, I'll escort you back to your friends." She extended her hand. "Champion Aless."
Alessandra smiled, taking her hand. "That's gonna be a bit to get used to." She admitted as she took her hand and Geeta pulled her up.
Once they headed back out, Alessandra was IMMEDIATELY glomped by Nemona. "Wah!" She yelped as she fell to the ground. The wind was knocked out of her as she could barely hear everyone congratulating her.
"Ooof… thanks for the congratulatory tackle…"
"This is amazing~!" Nemona grinned. "Now that you're a champion, that means we can be best rivals for life, yes~?"
"Hmm… I dunno~" Alessandra gave her a teasing smile.
"Oh, I'm sorry… I don't think I said it properly. You want to be my rival forever?"
"Hmmmm…"
"YOU. ME. RIVALS. YES?"
Alessandra playfully rolled her eyes. "You do realize I'm teasing you, right?"
Nemona sweatdropped. "How did that go over my hea-" She gasped and then hugged her tightly. "Oh you!"
"Gah! Ribs… cracking…!"
Nemona pulled her away. "Oh, this is so amazing! Oh, we gotta have our first proper battle! Meet ya at the town square!"
She took off running.
"I guess she found her equal." Carmine sweatdropped.
"Sheesh, not even five minutes into being a champion and she's already swinging. What are we gonna do with her?" Arven chuckled.
"And I thought I got excited over battles." Kotoko deadpanned. "Hell, she might be more overexcitable than Flan."
"Pffft! Debatable." Flandre rolled her eyes as Alessandra got hugs from everyone, though Mewtwo gave her a respectful nod as she went to heal up her team while also wondering how Gloria was holding up.
Regardless, she was ready to go and kick Nemona's butt.
But first…

"Any second now…" Nemona said.
"Sorry I'm late!" A voice called out to her as Nemona turned around and saw Alessandra in a blue sports jersey that had a Dodrio kicking a soccer ball as she had purple eyeshadow and lipstick on while sporting black fingerless gloves and Dynamax logo earrings. She also wore black running shorts and white tennis shoes. "Had to dress up for the occasion."
"Oooh, sporty~!"
"So, we ready for this?"
"Damn right we are! And it looks like we've drawn ourselves a crowd! Everyone's come to see us kick some butt!" Nemona smiled as everyone had come to see the fight, including Clavell, Penny, the Team Star captains and the Gym Leaders.
"We sure did."
"While I'm not too keen on the idea of being "the main appetizer" for your fight with Gloria… I can look past that because I finally get to go all out with you! And… I found my greatest treasure."
"And that is?"
"You! No one stood beside me until you reached out for the sky, and became mighty… and now we're standing eye to eye!"
Alessandra smiled. "Oh, Mona…"
"You've come so far through mountains, sea and sand… you've come a long way from the time we had our first battle together. And now…"
Alessandra smirked. "Now it's time for a fruitful battle!"
"Time for-... hey! I guess I rubbed off on ya." Nemona laughed before she pulled out a Pokeball and activated it, thrusting her arm forward with a smirk.

"Now… show me your heart!"
Alessandra smirked back, activating a Pokeball of her own. "I plan to!"
Both of them threw their Pokeballs into the air.
"Lycaaaa!"
"Tsareee!"
Lycanroc immediately started off with Stealth Rock right as Sherry started off with Leaf Storm, pelting Lycanroc with leaves as the Lycanroc immediately went ahead and slammed into Sherry with Accelerock, knocking her away.
Sherry quickly recovered and proceeded to go a High Jump Kick, but Lycanroc jumped to the side as Sherry slammed her heel into the pavement, causing Sherry to whimper as a tear formed in her eye from the pain as Lycanroc swiftly used Drill Run into her. However, Sherry responded with Trop Kick, both moves striking each other as they were knocked back.
Lycanroc let out a howl and used Stone Edge, but Sherry backflipped and used another Leaf Storm to counter attack. Lycanroc shifted his eyes to try and locate her as Sherry ran in and used Triple Axel, smacking Lycanroc silly and kicked her away when she was done. Lycanroc shook her head and used Accelerock as Sherry jumped in with Trop Kick, both moves hitting each other as they were knocked back as Sherry fell on one knee while Lycanroc collapsed in defeat.
Nemona chuckled, switching Lycanroc out for Goodra, where Alessandra switched out Sherry for Athena.
"Goodraaaaa!"
"Dragoooo!"
Athena waved her arms to unleash a rainstorm, causing Nemona to laugh. "She really likes the rain, doesn't she?"
"You get used to it." Alessandra giggled.
Goodra smiled at the rain storm and proceeded to use Dragon Pulse where Athena dodged and went with a Thunder, where a massive lightning bolt struck down on Goodra. "Draaaa!" Goodra cried as Athena flew in and struck her with an Iron Head into her gut, bouncing off of her as Goodra responded with a point blank Ice Beam.
"Dragoooo!" Athena grunted as she was pushed to the side as Goodra hit her with Dragon Pulse, pushing Athena back as she flew up right after and used Hurricane. Goodra jumped back to avoid it, only to get hit with another Thunder, this time paralyzing her.
"Ah geez! Ya had to go and paralyze me!" Nemona winced with a grin as Athena used Hurricane again, nearly knocking down the Goodra as she tried to fight off the Paralysis with a Sludge Bomb, but Athena slammed into her with Iron Head to finish her off.
"Draaaaa…" Goodra collapsed as Nemona switched her out with Dudunsparce as Alessandra switched out Athena with Raffia.
"Duduuuun!"
"Umbreee!"
Dudunsparce Coiled up while Raffia brushed off the Stealth Rock, then Dudunsparce unleashed Drill Run as Raffia used Iron Tail, both moves deflecting off of each other as Dudunsparce used Dragon Rush where Raffia used Dark Pulse, both moves striking the other.
"Umbre!" Raffia cried as he recovered and used Shadow Ball, hitting Dudunsparce as he came in with a Hyper Drill, but Raffia leapt to the side and struck him with Iron Tail. Dudunsparce lunged toward him with a Dragon Rush, but Raffia avoided the attack and struck him from behind with a Dark Pulse.
"Dudunnn…" Dudunsparce flipped around and came at him with a Drill Run as Raffia responded with Iron Tail, both moves repelling each other as Raffia shot off a Shadow ball, critically hitting Dudunsparce as he fell limp.
"Ooof, felt that one!" Nemona giggled as she switched out Dudunsparce for Orthworm where Alessandra switched to Wisp.
"Oooorth/Ceruuuu!"
Wisp used Swords Dance, ignoring the Stealth rock and then ignited his blades as he started running toward Orthworm, who proceeded to shoot him with Rock Blast. Wisp batted away the Rock Blasts as he used Bitter Blade, clashing with Orthworm's Iron Tail as Wisp was pushed back.
He immediately started to run again, jumping over the Earthquake that Orthworm produced as he slashed through Orthworm with Bitter Blade, knocking her down effortlessly.
Nemona smiled as she switched out her Orthworm for Pawmot as Alessandra switched out for Tut.
"Pawmah!/Espaaaa!"
"Man, what is with everyone having excellent taste~?" Nora giggled.
Espathra and Pawmot ran straight toward each other as the former used Lumina Crash, but Pawmot jumped to the side to dodge it as he went in with an Ice Punch, socking her in the chest as Tut brushed it off and used Psychic to hold him in place and tossed him up into the air and hit him with telekinetic energy.
Despite being hurt by it, Pawmot came flying down as his fists crackled with electricity as he unleashed a Double Shock punch into Tut as he used Dazzling Gleam, Pawmot powered through it and slammed into Tut with the Double Shock.
Pawmot jumped off of Tut as he fell on one knee while wincing. However, Tut staggered back up and used Dazzling Gleam again, knocking down the Pawmot while Tut collapsed, having used the last of his strength to take down the Pawmot with him.
The ladies both recalled their Pokemon as both of them had smirks on their faces and sent out Rio and Skeledirge.
"Quaquaaaa!" Rio cried as Skeledirge let out a roar.
"Here we go! Shine forth, my greatest treasure!" Nemona exclaimed, bringing out her Tera Orb as Alessandra did the same, both Terastallizing their Pokemon as they both let out their cries before Rio ran ahead and used Aqua Step, but Skeledirge jumped back and Snarled at Rio.
"Val…!" Rio grunted as Skeledirge sang a Torch Song at him, but he rolled out of the way and used Wave Crash, striking Skeledirge as he was knocked back. Skeledirge fired off a Shadow Ball, but Rio batted it away with his leg and used Aqua Step to finish off the Skeledirge, causing his Tera Jewel Crown to vanish.

A dark shadow cast over Nemona's eyes as she recalled Skeledirge, burying her face into her arm.
"And that's checkma-... Mona? Are you okay?" Alessandra asked as she approached her in concern. "I didn't whip you up too bad, did I? Mona?"
"You… you…" Nemona flashed a grin as she hugged Alessandra tightly.
"Gack!"
"THAT WAS AWESOME! You actually did it! We went all out and kicked each other's butts! Oh, this makes me so happy! Hahahahaha!"
Alessandra chuckled, smiling. "Glad I have someone to battle with."
"Right?! Oh, this is so cool!" Nemona pulled away. "Alright, let's give ourselves a little break… and then let's go for round two!"
Alessandra sweatdropped. "Round… two…?" She asked as the audience either sighed, shook their heads, facepalmed… or all of the above.
"Oh, I wonder what team I should use next to clobber you… decisions, decisions…"
Nemona then bopped herself on the forehead. "Wait! What am I doing? You got a fight with Gloria! …I call dibs after your fight with her~"
Alessandra sweatdropped. "Of course you will." She shook her head.
Alessandra turned around and ran off to a Pokemon Center to heal up. Excitement swelled within her. She was about to face off against her best friend. It was time to see who would come out on top.
Once she finished healing up her Pokemon, she walked back to the square… to find it completely empty.
"Huh?" Alessandra wondered as she looked around. "Guys? Hello? …Hoppy? Marn? Twink? Carmy? Live Wire? Mona? Rubes?"
No answer.
"What in the world…" She said as she walked around the square. It was a bit spooky.
At that moment, a ring portal opened up as Alessandra turned to it and tilted her head, seeing nothing but darkness on the other side. She cautiously approached it and walked through the other side.
The portal closed behind her as she looked around, still seeing nothing but darkness around her. She took a few steps as the sounds of grass crunched below her feet.
"You've certainly grown the last I've seen you."
Alessandra turned around, seeing Leon in front of her. "Lee?!"
"Hey Aless. Long time no see." He said, giving her a friendly wave.
"Rawr!"
Alessandra gasped. "Charmy!" She said as she gave the Charizard a hug. "Oh, look at you being all big and strong!"
She pulled away. "So where am I?"
"Where are you?" Leon chuckled. "Gloria told me how you were clawing your way to the top… so we both decided that why not have your exhibition match… IN THE HEART OF WYNDON STADIUM ITSELF!" He yelled as the lights came on, showing exactly where she was.
BGM: Wyndon (Pokemon Sword and Shield)
"Huh?!" Alessandra said in surprise as the crowd roared with cheering. "We're… in Wyndon?"
"Yup." Leon nodded. "And everyone has come to see this grand event!"
"Welcome, one and all to an exciting Exhibition Match!"
Up on the announcers stand…
"I am your host, Professor Peter Port-"
"And Dr. Bartholomew Oobleck!"
"And wasn't it an exciting event? What the young Galarian didn't realize was when she used her Rotom Phone to have Gloria watch it… she secretly connected to young Futaba Sakura who hacked her way into the jumbotrons of this very stadium! Yes, everyone watched her fight Paldea's Elite Four and Geeta. You should've heard the crowd here… they were going nuts when Aless won!"
"Not only that, but they were at the edge of their seats witnessing Alessandra and Nemona battling to their heart's content!"
Back down…
"Glori…" Alessandra whispered. It then dawned on her as to why she felt like a lot more people were cheering her on during her fight with the Elite Four. She couldn't help but chuckle warmly.
Leon grinned. "I hooked up the event and spread the word out… the whole stadium was packed when they heard about their fashionistic Galarian ready to go all out."
"Hey!" A voice called out to them as Alessandra turned to see Gloria approaching in her sports uniform herself.
"Glori!"
"Nice job on becomin' champion." Gloria smiled. "I had a feelin' ye'd pull it off."
"You… you did all of this?"
"I had the idea come to me when ye were fightin' Hop when ye drew a crowd. It got bigger when ye were fightin' Marnie, so I knew I had to make our fight a spectacular one. I had to leave Glaseado a bit just so I could talk with Leon."
"So that's why you left…"
"Mhm. Of course, I had to make sure ye were ready to fight me, so I had ye fight my own Elite Four before ye were ready."
"Your own Elite Four? What are you talking abou-" Her eyes widened, recalling how Bede, Hop, Marnie and Ruby initiated a battle with her. She closed her eyes and chuckled in amusement. "You clever bitch… you were just testin' me this whole time."
Gloria chuckled. "Yer damn right."
"You always did pull a fast one on me when we were little. Guess some things never changed."
Gloria giggled. "Ah, just like old times, eh~?"
"Yeah." Alessandra nodded.
"Of course, while I was watchin', I did my own trainin' to get myself pumped up. Leon helped train me up."
"Is that what we call that warm up?" Leon chuckled.
Gloria smirked. "So… ye ready for me to kick yer arse?"
"I think it should be the other way around. I'm gonna make sure you get humbled in this fight."
"I could say the same thing to ye."
Both of them made their way to the center of the stage.
"YOU GOT THIS, ALESS!" Nemona and Arven called out to her from the stands as Kotoko started to record the fight. Little did she realize that, a little ways off, Iono was starting to record as well.
"Good luck to the both of ya!" Ruby called out to them.
"You got this!" Hiyoko said.
"Good luck out there, sis!" Cian cheered.

"And both ladies are getting into position!" Port exclaimed.
Back at Paldea, the twins' mother watched on her television. "Oh… she's grown up so much. Good luck to the both of you!"
Back in Galar, Leon got between them. "Champions at the ready!" He raised his arms up as both girls got into position, the confidence in their eyes unwavering.
He swung his arm down.
"BEGIN!"

Galar's Top Champion - Gloria
Gloria sent out her Kingler while Alessandra sent out Sherry.
"Kookie Kookie!"
"Tsareee!"
"And we're starting off with Kingler versus Tsareena!" Oobleck said as the crowd cheered.
Kingler started off with Swords Dance as Sherry set up Leaf Storm, but Kingler shut it down with an Ice Beam, causing Sherry's eyes to widen and rolled out of the way as she ran over toward him and used Trop Kick, but Kingler deflected it away with Crabhammer, knocking Sherry back as he pinched his claws a few times before Kingler swung his bigger crab arm down, as the ground underneath Sherry rumbled underneath her.
With quick thinking, Sherry backflipped as a massive Guillotine rose up and chomped down on nothing as it sunk back down to the earth as Sherry ran over toward the Kingler and hit him with a Trop Kick, but Kingler grabbed her and slammed her to the ground, and then used Crabhammer on her, but Sherry rolled out of the way and countered with Triple Axel, forcing the Pincer Pokemon to back up.
"Koookiiiiiie!" Kingler fired a point black Ice Beam to knock Sherry away as he tried to use Guillotine again, but Sherry jumped to the side and used Leaf Storm, wrapping around Kingler and cutting him up as Sherry ran inside the storm and did a few flips before using Trop Kick on Kingler to knock him down for the count.
"First blood goes to Aless!" Oobleck said.
Gloria chuckled as she switched Kingler out and then sent out her next Pokemon.
"Cro!"
"Gloria brings out Crobat!" Port said.
"Whoa! You definitely warmed up to him!" Alessandra said.
Crobat flew up into the air as Sherry proceeded to use Leaf Storm on Crobat, but Crobat flew around the storm and then swooped down on Sherry. She quickly jumped back to avoid a Leech Life as Crobat flew up to avoid a Triple Axel kick and then dive bombed, quickly using Cross Poison as Sherry tried to go for a High Jump Kick, only to get struck by Cross Poison as she slammed into the ground.
"Reeenaaaa…" Sherry groaned in defeat.
"Gloria responds in kind!" Oobleck called.
Alessandra switched out Sherry and then sent out Tut. "Espaaaa!"
"Aless responds with… uh… a majestic ostrich! I have no idea what the name of that is." Port said.
"According to my research, it's called an Espathra."
"Espathra!"
Crobat flew into the air and came down, trying to Crunch down on Espathra, but he jumped back to avoid being bitten as he used Psychic to slam him into the ground and hit him with telekinetic energy. However, Crobat got up and swooped in, latching on to Espathra and using Leech Life to rejuvenate himself and let go, only for Espathra to slam into Crobat with Lumina Crash, knocking Crobat away.
"Espaaaa!" Espathra used Agility and ran toward Crobat as he got up and used Cross Poison right as Espathra used another Lumina Crash, both moves connecting as Crobat went down while Espathra got poisoned, but willed it away so Aless wouldn't feel bad.
"Down goes Crobat!" Oobleck said as Gloria switched him off for Annihilape.
"And Gloria brings out… uh… I'm assuming that's a Paldean Primeape." Port said.
"From what I've seen in my research, Primeape unlocked a new power that causes them to evolve after using it enough times. The evolution is called Annihilape."
"I see!"
Espathra proceeded to use Dazzling Gleam, but Annihilape jumped to the side and ran toward Espathra who used Dazzling Gleam again, but Annihilape proceeded to use Shadow Punch, striking Espathra as he tried to dodge, knocking the Espathra out.
"And down goes Espathra!" Oobleck said.
"Laaaaape!"
Alessandra switched out Espathra for Wisp.
"Ceru!"
"Aless brings out… a knight in sinister armor!" Port said.
"Ceruledge."
"Right, I knew that…"
Wisp immediately used Swords Dance and shot off toward Annihilape, quickly using Shadow Claw on Annihlape who responded with Shadow Punch, both moves striking the other as they were knocked back.
Annihilape then stomped on the ground repeatedly, unleashing Stomping Tantrum and sending bits of ground and rocks towards Wisp who charged at him. Wisp batted them away or vaulted over them as he quickly used Bitter Blade… however, Annihilape punched him away with Rage Fist before Bitter Blade could connect.
With a growl. Wisp charged toward the Annihilape and used Shadow Claw right as Annihilape went in with another Shadow Punch. Wisp buckled over but used Shadow Claw to strike Annihilape before he went down.
"Down goes Ceruledge! …Remind me to never meet Annihilape in a dark alley." Port said.
Alessandra switched Wisp out for Raffia.
"Umbre!"
"Alessandra brings out Umbreon!"
Annihilape swiftly used Cross Chop on Raffia, but he jumped away and used Shadow Ball as Annihilape caught the Shadow Ball with his hands, leaving him wide open for a Dark Pulse attack. Annihilape let out a screech and then threw the Shadow Ball back at Raffia, who flipped over and used Iron Tail to send the Shadow Ball back, slamming into Annihilape and knocking him out.
"RETURN TO SENDER!" Oobleck yelled as the crowd went wild.
Gloria switched Annihilape out for Appletun.
"Tuuuun!"
"Mmm mmm! Smells like apple pie. Gloria sends out Appletun!" Port said. "...Great, now I'm hungry for apple pie."
Alessandra switched out Raffia and then sent out Athena. "Dragoooo!"
"And Aless switches Umbreon out for Dragonite!"
Athena began by starting off with Rain Dance.
"Hope everyone brought an umbrella, because it's starting to rain down there!" Oobleck called.
Athena let out a cry and proceeded to unleash Iron Head at Appletun, slamming into him as Appletun responded by spitting out Apple Acid. splattering all over Athena.
"Drago…" Athena groaned but was thankful the rain washed it off. Athena responded by using Thunder on Appletun who hit her in kind with Dragon Pulse, knocking Athena back while the Thunder struck Appletun, paralyzing him on the spot.
"Apple… Tu-Tun…" Appletun groaned as Athena struck him with a Hurricane to finish him off.
"Down goes Appletun! But it looks like Dragonite is barely holding on from that attack!" Port said.
Gloria smirked, switching out Appletun to…
"Lrrroooooaaaaard!"
"GLORIA BRINGS OUT THE HOUND!" Oobleck yelled as the crowd cheered.
"Dragooooo!" Athena unleashed Thunder right as Zacian unleashed Moonblast, sending it crashing into Athena right as Thunder struck Zacian.
"Down goes the Dragonite!" Oobleck said as Alessandra switched her out for Raffia.
"Umbreon makes a return!" Port exclaimed.
Zacian used Swords Dance as Raffia got into position and proceeded to use Dark Pulse. Zacian responded with Moonblast, but Raffia jumped away to avoid the attack and used Shadow Ball, but Zacian batted it away with her sword.
"Lrrooooaaaard!" Zacian's sword grew gigantic and lunged toward Raffia with Behemoth Blade. Raffia launched himself and tried to deflect it with Iron Tail, both moves clashing against one another but Zacian powered through the Iron Tail easily, striking Raffia.
"UMBREEEE!" Raffia cried as he closed his eyes and used Moonlight to recover and then landed on the ground, dodging a Close Combat from her as he batted her away with Iron Tail before using Shadow Ball.
Zacian unleashed Moonblast again but Raffia jumped away and used Moonlight again. Zacian narrowed her eyes as an idea formed in her head. She charged up Moonblast as Raffia jumped back by instinct, but Zacian jumped up and used Behemoth Blade on the "moon", cutting it clean in half and absorbing the Moonblast's energy as Umbreon activated Iron Tail as they both lunge at each other, but Zacian cut through him with a Fairy-powered Behemoth Blade.
"BREEOOOOOONNNN!"
"Raffia!"
Raffia slammed into the ground as he struggled to get up, but collapsed immediately after.
"Down goes Umbreon! Alessandra is down to her last Pokemon!" Port exclaimed as the crowd went wild.
Alessandra clenched her fists. "I'm not giving up… not by a long shot!" She said as she switched Raffia out for Rio.
"Quaquava!"
"Oh my, that's the fruitiest looking duck I've ever seen." Oobleck said.
"I think that's called a Quaquaval." Port said.
"...Did you look into my notes?"
"...Maybe."
Rio ran toward Zacian, quickly using Aqua Step while dodging a Moonblast, striking Zacian to the side. Zacian immediately used Behemoth Blade in retaliation, but Rio front flipped over Zacian and avoided the Behemoth Blade as he used Acrobatics, slamming into her and then used Close Combat right after.
Zacian growled as she was kicked away, using Swords Dance again and then used Close Combat where Rio responded in kind, both Pokemon striking each other as they were knocked back.
"Lrooooaaaaard!" Zacian unleashed Moonblast but Rio quickly moved out of the way and slammed into her with Wave Crash, knocking the Legendary Wolf down while Rio backed up, falling on both knees as Zacian struggled to get up, but collapsed.
"DOWN GOES THE HOUND! I REPEAT, THE HOUND IS DOWN!" Port yelled.
"Ah, but it looks like the Quaquaval isn't looking so hot. WILL HE SURVIVE GLORIA'S LAST POKEMON?" Oobleck yelled.
Gloria switched Zacian out and then sent out Cinderace.
"Raaaaaaaace!"
"Gloria sends out Cinderace!" Port said.
"I think we all know what happens next!" Gloria smirked.
"Oh, I'm with you there." Alessandra agreed.
The girls aimed their Pokeballs at their Pokemon, pulling them back in as both of their balls went pink.
"Aaaand we're gonna end it off with a Dynamax/Gigantamax showdown!" Oobleck exclaimed as the ladies Dynamax/G-Maxed their Pokemon.
"QUAQUAAAAAAAAAAV!"
"RAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAACEEEEE!"
"MAX GEYSER!/G-MAX FIREBALL!"
Cinderace jumped off his fireball and kicked it toward Rio as he responded by unleashing a torrent of water toward the fireball as it was pushed back and slammed into Cinderace.
"RAAAAACE!"
Cinderace responded by using Max Airstream as Rio used Max Knuckle, but the Airstream ripped the Max Knuckle to shreds and slammed into Rio.
"QUAAAVAAAA!"
Cinderace attempted another G-Max Fireball while Rio was badly hurt, but he quickly used Max Knuckle, both moves connecting to each other as they tried to push the other back until Max Knuckle pushed through the flames and burst through, heading straight for Cinderace.
"Race?!" Cinderace cried as the Max Knuckle connected, causing a massive explosion. "RAAAAAAAAAAAAACE!"
Cinderace shrunk back down at the same time as Rio, as both Pokemon were on one knee as Cinderace passed out.

"THERE WE HAVE IT FOLKS! ALESSANDRA-... wait, what's this?" Port wondered as Gloria had reached into her pocket the moment both Pokemon shrunk back down and pulled out a Max Revive, throwing it toward Cinderace as it landed on his back, rejuvenating him.
"Cinder!" Cinderace sprang back up and punched the air a few times followed by a kick. "Race Race!"
"Never mind! Gloria revives her Cinderace! This match isn't over yet!" Port declared as the crowd cheered.
"Did ye really think I'd go out so easily?"
"I had a feeling you'd go out kicking and screaming." Alessandra said, pulling out a Full Restore. "Let's make this even." She sprayed Rio.
"Quava!"
"Quaquaval is back to full health!" Oobleck exclaimed.
At that moment, Kamek walked in. "Ah, seems like we're right on time." He said as Balto walked over along with the rest of the Pokemon. "Up up up. Wait until the match is over. Then we'll walk into the field."
The Pokemon nodded as Balto looked at Alessandra, his eyes widening and his tail wagged, but Kamek put up a barrier just in case.
"I think I oughtae take a page out of yer book." Gloria said, pulling out a Tera Orb.
Alessandra smirked. "I was hoping you'd do it." She said, taking out a Tera Orb as they both started to Terastallize their Pokemon.
"Oh! They are both Terastallizing their Pokemon! It's gonna be an epic showdown for sure!" Oobleck exclaimed.
"QUAQUAAAAVA!/RAAAAAAAAACE!"
Cinderace's Tera Jewel was the Fire crown.
"RIO!/CINDERACE!"
The ladies pointed toward the other.
"KNOCK HIM DOWN!" They both yelled in unison.
BGM: Unbeatable (Pokemon Advanced Battle)
"Quava!/Race!"
Both Pokemon charged toward each other, both of them punching/kicking each other in the cheeks as they both jumped back as Cinderace quickly used Pyro Ball on him, but Rio weaved to avoid and then used Aqua Step, to which Cinderace Bounced high into the air and then came down, flurry kicking Rio in the head and then roundhouse kicking Rio away as Cinderace gracefully landed on the ground.
Rio got back up and immediately ran in with Close Combat, but Cinderace Countered, grabbing him by the leg and slamming him to the ground. Rio got back up and sweep kicked Cinderace to trip him up as he then used Acrobatics on Cinderace, but he rolled out of the way to avoid the attack and then Bounced up and then heel kicked Rio, but he grabbed his ankle… only for Cinderace to twist his body and sent Rio to the ground.
Both Pokemon got back up as Rio unleashed Wave Crash and slammed into Cinderace, but he caught him with both hands and slid back several feet while holding him steady as Cinderace knee kicked him in the abdomen to forcibly stopped the Wave Crash and backflipped away to avoid an Aqua Step in retaliation.
Both Pokemon both used Acrobatics and Bounce as they both met in midair as their legs clashed together, both of them backflipping and landing gracefully as Rio swooped in with Close Combat as Cinderace weaved to avoid the attacks and then sweep kicked Rio to trip him up, and then used Pyro Ball to strike him with a flaming rock.
"Quava!" Rio grunted as he got up and used Aqua Step, striking Cinderace as he blocked with both arms as he flip kicked Rio into the air and then Bounced high, heel kicking him to the ground as he slammed into the ground.
Rio sprang back up as Cinderace landed on the ground and wrapped himself in fire as he launched toward him with Flare Blitz. Rio responded with Wave Crash as they both ran toward each other and slammed into each other with shoulder bashes as fire and water sprayed everywhere as both bounced off of each other.
Rio immediately went for Aqua Step, but Cinderace flipped over and landed on Rio's head, wrapping his legs on Rio's Tera Jewel and flipping off of him, pulling it off of his head with his legs. "Quava?!"
"Race Race~!" Cinderace teased as he launched himself over to Rio and soccer kicked him, but Rio weaved and then used Close Combat, striking Cinderace a few times and then used a roundhouse kick to kick Cinderace's Tera Crown off of him.
"Race?!"
"Quava~!" Rio smirked as Cinderace growled and Bounced into the air, flurry kicking Rio as he blocked the attack and flip kicked Cinderace away as he responded with a Pyro Ball but Rio used Aqua Step on the Pyro Ball, sending it back toward Cinderace who decided to headbutt the Pyro Ball quick enough and sent it toward Rio to knock him back.
At that moment, Cinderace wrapped himself up in fire as Rio wrapped himself in water as they both charged at each other.
"RAAAAAAAAACE/QUUUAAAAVAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA!"
Both Pokemon's Wave Crash and Flare Blitz slammed into each other, both of them pushing against one another as a watery/fiery explosion happened as they both were knocked back and slid on the ground, both not moving an inch.
End BGM
No one dared to breathe or move an inch, everyone locked on to the battlefield as not even Gloria or Alessandra dared to move. Sweat rolled down both of their cheeks.
Rio fell on his knees as Cinderace fell on one knee, both of them weakly looking at each other, daring the other one to go down first.
However… both went down at the same time.
"Ladies and gentleman… WE HAVE A DRAW!" Oobleck yelled as the crowd cheered.
Alessandra laughed at the outcome as she knelt down and picked up Rio and wrapped his arm around her as Gloria did the same thing with Cinderace. "You know what? I'm fine with this outcome."
"Yeah, I had a hell of a time." Gloria smiled.
"Qu-Quava…"
"Heheh… Race Race…"
Both Pokemon weakly fist bumped each other as Gloria and Alessandra both hugged each other as Nemona vaulted over the stands and gave them both a hug as both girls grasped each others hands and raised them high into the air as the crowd cheered.
"Awoooooooooooo!" A howl echoed throughout the stadium.
BGM: Fairy Tail Rises (Fairy Tail 2014)
"What the…?" Alessandra wondered as Kamek flew right in.
"I believe this is who you've been looking for." Kamek said, pointing off in the distance as a Kilowattrel flew in while holding a fish tank containing a Wishiwashi as they gently landed on the ground followed by a Flareon walking over with a Snom on her head.
And then they saw an Arcanine approaching.
"What's all this…?" Alessandra wondered as Cian vaulted over the stands in curiosity.
"Woof! Aroo!" The Arcanine said.
"You… feel familiar…" Alessandra whispered.
Cian's eyes widened. "Could it be…?!"
"B-Balto…?" Alessandra wondered as she slowly approached the beast and brushed over his fur before spotting the blue bandana, her eyes widening.
"Baltooooo! Baltooooo!" Alessandra called out to him. "Balto, where are you?"
"Grow!" Balto peeked his head over a flock of Wooloo.
"Oh, there you are, boy!" Alessandra giggled.
"Fetch the stick!" Cian threw it across the field as Balto ran ahead and caught it, then happily returned it as he threw it even farther… and then Balto came back with a Nickit in his mouth, the latter looking bewildered.
"Pffft…" Cian chuckled. "That's not the stick, silly."
"Look at him, he's cute~!" Alessandra smiled, placing a cap on the Growlithe's head.
"He does! You got any other hats?" Hop asked.
"As a matter of fact-"
Growlithe snuggled up against Alessandra and Cian while they were watching TV, happy and content between them.
"We love you, Balto." Alessandra petted his head.
Tears swelled within Alessandra's eyes, her hand over her mouth. "Bal-... Balto…!"
"Arceus…" Cian whispered, tears swelling in his eyes as they instinctively hugged the Arcanine, who nuzzled against them and licked their cheeks, letting out a howl.
"Mmmph…" Gloria teared up and wiped her eyes while Hop was a completely emotional wreck and hugging Leon as Yang, Blank, Pit, Sun, Neptune and Meryl had to console an emotionally distraught Ruby and Weiss, same with Masaru and Nagisa consoling a sobbing Kotoko and Kokoro.
Nearby, Iggy cried out waterfalls together with Wendy and Lemmy while Cinder felt emotions swelling within her while nearby, Clavell had to discreetly wipe his tears while Geeta folded her arms with a smile as a tear ran down her cheek.
"Anyone cutting up onions in this booth?" Oobleck sniffled.
"I'm not…!" Port sobbed.
"Ch-chat… I'm not crying…! I… I… I just got some dust in my eyes!" Iono sobbed.
Alessandra pulled away, still a complete sobbing wreck as she put her forehead against the Arcanine's. "I've missed you… we've missed you…"
Balto let out a whine, signaling that he missed her as well.
Both Cian and Alessandra's treasure… has been found.

I don't know! *sobbing* It's such a beautiful scene too!
