Laura pulled up to Stefan's apartment complex feeling her heart race quickly. She felt her stomach turn as she looked up at the building. Suddenly Laura felt slightly better as Steve squeezed her hand. She looked over at him as he gave her a resuring smile. "It will be okay my sweet Honey Badger."

She rolled her eyes and smiled back at him. Laura loved her odd yet sentimental nickanames Steve always gave her. "I know, I still hate the idea I'm shooting down his engagement... Hey don't give me that look, your still my choice Steve." She glanced at her fiance with a raised eyebrow at his worried look on his face.

"And I'm beyond happy I am but I still feel doubt that you are going to regret you decision once you see him." Steve jaw was still tensed and uncertainty in his eyes.

"Steve you got to trust me, I am not leaving you. Stefan needs this one thing and then I'm all yoursfor the rest of our lives." Laura squeezed his hands some more as she leaned in and brushed her lips against his. Laura gave him on last look as he was present in the kiss. She gave him a warm smile as she got out of the car and Steve turned on the radio, singing out of tune. Laura laughed as she shook her head as she watched him from the side walk. Then she faced the apartment building and headed towards inside.

As Laura made it inside and got in the elevator, for the first time she was not excited to see Stefan and the way up to his apartment seemed to go on forever. She had only been to his apartment a few times only when he forgotten something, other than that they would always end up back at her house to make out. Once the elevator dinged and the doors opened to the hallway of his luxurious apartment floor, Laura only walked a few feet before arriving to his door. She took a deep breath and held back her nerves and rang his doorbell. "Just a minute!" She heard Stefan yell.

Laura composed herself as she heard the door open. She watched Stefan look back in the apartment with a smile and then turned as his eyes widen in surprise. "Laura!" He quickly said as he came out of his apartment and slightly shutting the door as he held is closed. "Sweet Laura baby, what are you doing here?" Suddenly switching to his sweet smooth voice. Laura noticed he was not in his usual clothing but a white t-shirt and sweatpants.

"I came here to talk to you about your proposal... Who is in there?" Laura suddenly felt upset as something seemed unsettling at this whole situation...

Meanwhile Steve was just listening to the radio as would sing along here and there just to keep his mind busy. Just then he happened to look up and saw Laura. She was storming towards the car as Stefan was chasing her. He was was curious what was going on and just slightly rolled down the window. Just in case Laura need to be saved.

"Come on Laura... you were dating Steve and me at the same time. What's the difference?" Stefan yelled as he finally caught up with Laura.

Laura turned quickly almost knocking over Stefan with red in her face. "There's a huge difference! First of all I told you both how I felt about both of you. And I was in love woth you both. I was very clear how I felt. Two I'm still a virgin and not sleeping around with other people! And for what? Because you were sad I could not make up my mind right away on who I wanted to marry so you invite six of you female modeling friends and sleep with them? Now I'm questioning if you ever loyal to me. And how long have you been doing this behind my back. Well good thing I chose Steve! He would have never done anything like this." Her breathing was quick and short as she fought back tears.

"You know what Laura, you'll be crawling back when you get bored of that life style with Steve. I could gave you everything..." Stefan stood there with his arms crossed with his gaze was icy and malevolent, locked on Laura's.

"Really, while I'm stuck in some hotel room in some foreign country while you sleep with another model behind my back... Yeah I'm sure I am going to miss the glamorous lifestyle. Stefan I am done with you. So enjoy your miraculous life without me." She turned taking deep breath's as she rushed back to her car. She finally felt the tears but when Laura saw Steve she couldn't help but feel grateful. She sighed as she entered the car. Laura looked at Steve as he was acting strange. He's eyes were looking everywhere and avoiding her.

"How much did you hear?" Laura asked as she gently touched his arm.

Steve looked at her with guilt written all over his face. "All of it but in my defense I was just making sure you were going to be okay. And I am sorry because you are feeling heart broken. I know you love him too." Then casually weaved his hand into hers.

Laura displayed a warm smile as she placed her free hand on Steve's cheek. "Thanks Steve. You can be so understanding and I love that about you. Can I ask you something?"

Steve frowned in curiosity, "Of course, you can ask me anything."

"While I was deciding between who to marry, what you doing more than just planning on running away to Russia?" Laura's eyes displayed saddness as she was feeling too many feelings at the moment. But watched Steve's face as he looked at her.

"Well other than going to class, I worked at the our college laboratory, studied at the library, or just hiding in my bedroom afraid to run into you and thinking of a formula of you forgetting me or a machine that would make me completely disappear so you could be happy wotg Stefan. But decided not to because I wanted you to remember me just a little bit and that's when I thought of moving to Russia would be the best." Steve was being honest but felt tears run down his cheek. He reached over his free hand and wiped Laura's tears. She the pulled him closer and just higged him tight. He sighed in relief as he hugged her tight back. Right there he wished he could go confront Stefan and wonder how anyone hurt this woman. He knew he has hirt Laura's feelings in the past and almost of he did take off to Russia if he had said nothing to her. But he always was there to apologize and make sure they were okay. But he also knew right now Laura would not let him try to talk to Stefan because she would tell him, Stefan was not even worth it. Right now he would just be there for Laura and love her. They could finally move on plan their future together now that Stefan and Myra were finally out of the way.

Laura pulled back a little and as Steve was giving her the same look she was giving him. There was glimmer of greatfulness and slight fear of what could have been as their lips were pressed tight together. Laura then broke their silence. "Thank you for not doing either of those things. My life without you would have been well not the same. I would have missed you like crazy and if you did make a formula that made me forget you, I would have known something was missing in my life."

Steve eyes got big and smile spread across his face. "You really do love me don't you?"

Laura shook her head with eye roll but shared the same smile as he did, "Of course I do. I so lucky to love you and all those years you loved me and still love me. And thank you for not running to another woman when I couldn't decide. Because I surely did make the right one."

Steve pressed his forehead to hers and gently kissed her. "Laura Lee I will always love you and clearly will never stop. You are the only woman for me and always will be. I can not wait for you to be my wife. Our life might turn out crazy and maybe a little chaotic... Okay maybe a lot of chaos. And I promise you I will always keep you on your toes. But I can also promise you this that I am sure there will never be a dull moment and a household full of laughter. And so much love and devotion."

Laura now had both of her hands placed on his cheeks and was fully in love with this man she denied for so many years. He was truly it and she was all in. "Steven Q. Urkel I am so ready to be your wife. No more distractions or anyone coming between us. You are my man and I am your woman. Now lets get my ring resized and just maybe we will find a wedding band set while we are the jeweler's. Let's just start planning our wedding." Then Laura leaned in closer, gave him a suductive wink, and pressed her lips hard against his.

Steve gave in to her kiss as he had waited and dreamt for years for this moment for Laura to be fully committed to him. And now it was here he had never felt so happy in his life. The years they have known each other, they didn't need a long engagement. They knew each other so well and got to know each other even better since dating and were becoming a better version of one self. He was ready for his forever with this woman as she seemed ready to become an Urkel.
