"Geez Shads is pretty cranky this morning. Didn't he have coffee this morning." Sonic asked.
"He woke up late so only had time to eat. He'll probably hit Starbucks." Maria told him.
It was morning but Sonic noticed that Shadow was a bit cranky than normal in the mornings knowing the black-brown furred male wasn't a morning person but coffee normally helped and surprised there was a Starbucks in Green Hills guessing Shadow frequented it seeing Maria nod at this seeing Shadow leaving to get his coffee fix to function through the day without getting mad.
However Sonic noticed a very caffeinated Shadow facepalming hearing him saying GUN were after him making the blue furred hedgehog male concerned seeing Maria going after her boy hearing Sonic ask her what happened hearing Shadow had just had too much coffee so was freaking out making Sonic concerned for him knowing Maddie had warned him about too much coffee could be bad.
"You'll never take me alive, Towers." Shadow yelled snarling which bothered him.
"Shads, GUN ain't here. Your're so hopped up on coffee you're seeing things." Sonic said.
"Shadow listen to him, please calm down." Maria told him hearing this.
She then saw him pass out making her and Sonic worried scooping him up gently as Sonic was taking him to Maddie's vet clinic as she'd been used to them stunned asking what had happened with Shadow as Maria explained making her get it. "I can help him." Maddie told them.
"Please be okay Shads. We'll talk about the coffee thing later." Sonic whispered to Shadow before he and Maria left.
"Shads you feeling better. You freaking scared us on that coffee rampage." Shadow heard Sonic say hugging him after he'd woken up a few days later forgetting he'd went nuts on coffee feeling his head hurt along with his stomach feeling exhausted unaware asking what they'd been ralking about. "You had so much coffee that you went on a rampage thinking GUN were after you." Sonic told him showing his phone.
"That's good he's awake as we need to have a talk about the coffee." Maddie told him.
Shadow was lying down on the couch in his and Maria's house feelinf rerrible the coffee had made him lose control feelinf puny feeling Maria hug him reassuring him everybody felt that way which relieved him seeing Sonic leaving them be and hoped Shadow would feel better along with taking it east on the coffee which Maria agreed with seeing him scowl. "We're not making you give up coffee, but just to be careful." Maria told him holding his hand noticing he was tired seeing him fall asleep, knowing he needed more rest.
She was getting more messages from Sonic asking if Shadow was okay, so was replying to him, hearing Shadow sleeping knowing he needed more rest relieving her kissing his head seeing a smile on his face in sleep. "Relax as you'll feel good soon plus Sonic was worried. He's been texting me asking how you're doing." Maria whispered letting him be.
