"So, there's a holiday about pancakes. Earth has some colourful holidays." Sonic heard Shadow say.
"Yep it's called Pancake Day. We make pancakes and hang out. We should have a pancake eating contest." Sonic said seeing Knuckles and Shadow agree on this only Tails wasn't so sure about this. "Let's do it, to see who will be Family champion." Knuckles declared.
"Family Champion. What does he mean by that." Shadow asked confused.
"Don't worry about it. It's an echidna warrior thing." Sonic told him.
He decided not to tell Tom and Maddie about this as they would flip out like when they'd went to Hawali and he'd did a few things when they'd been gone including snowboarding in Siberia despite that part being Robotnik related but Tails was working on inventions only Tom sensed shenigans were afoot but he was cool with it knowing they'd learn from it by getting sick or tummy aches.
"Bring it on." Knuckles declared as they started but after a while, Knuckles tapped out making Sonic and Shadow smirk.
"You feeling okay, as you guys ate a lot plus surprised Shadow could eat that much and win." Sonic heard Tom saying.
"Yeah, and hope he's okay, as he went to his and Maria's house. Maria will be surprised." Sonic said.
He placed a hot water bottle on his tummy as it hurt, afterthe pancake-eating contest plus Shadow had won, which surprised both Knuckles and Sonic knowing Maria could help Shadow feel better, once she knew what he'd been doing with them seeing Tom agree. "Tom, did you and your brothers do stuff like we did." Sonic asked.
"Yep as kids we did along with other things." Tom said. That made Sonic smirk imagining the antics Tom and his brothers get up to growing up feeling sleepy which they got and Maddie had asked him if Sonic was okay nodding telling her about Sonic feeling sleepy relieving her.
"That's good as he and Knuckles along with Shadow having that pancake eating contest." Maddie said to him. He nodded in reply as they'd gotten messages from Maria knowing Sonic would be relieved knowing Shadow was okay knowing how he felt about him
