Rouge has been working all day at her boring job at CVS. At 2:00, her coworker Adam arrives. As he goes to clock in, he approaches Rouge with an enthusiastic look on his face.

"Have you seen Dr. Robotnik's apology on YouTube?" he asks her, "It's nuts!"

Rouge, up until this moment, had been unaware of the video.

"No…" says Rouge, careful not to give away any signs as to her acquaintance with Dr. Robotnik. But, of course, she couldn't go claiming she didn't even know who he was, because everyone knew who he was!

Adam pulls out his smartphone and plays the video for Rouge.

Rouge is bewildered. During all the years she spent working for Dr. Robotniik, she had never seen him so hysterical. Those are certainly real tears he is shedding. And there is a real pain in his voice.

"Something is… off," she thinks to herself, "…I just can't put my finger on it."

"Wow," she says to Adam, "He must have changed."

But Adam senses a hint of doubt or perhaps even sarcasm in Rouge's tone.

"You think so?" he responds, giving her a dubious look.

And Rouge shrugs her shoulders as if to say "Beats me."
