(21)-The Dream
Of
Oz;
Locasta: The Lady Of The North.
11-Year old Kyle's eyes opened and he looked at his surroundings and saw that he was back in the dark creepy forest, then he looked in front of him and saw Locasta standing in front of him in the exact same spot 20 feet away.
There was a long pause between the two as stared at each other for a moment.
"Welcome back, Kyle." Locasta greeted, her voice no longer echoey. "Lady Of The North at your service."
"Well, can you tell me what's going on?" Kyle asked.
"Come, my child." Locasta said before she turned and headed back for the dark space of the forest she'd exited.
Wanting answers to what was going on and where he was, Kyle did as he was told and followed after the woman in white and they both entered the dark space of the wilderness.
"As you are well aware, my child, you are in Oz. A land that is divided into four countries: The East, the West, the South and the North. One for each direction. We are in the haunted forest on the West side of Oz." Locasta explained as she led Kyle through the dark, spooky woods. "Each country use to have four female leaders, but now only have two. I should know. After all, i'm one of them. You see, the queen of the North-that's me, and Glinda-The Queen Of The South, formerly known as The Good Witches of the North and South, are good leaders...while the leaders of the East and West were wicked witches. Wicked through and through, i might added. "Wicked as they come. But now that they're both gone, Oz is only ruled by good leaders. Well...at least it was."
"What do you mean by was?" Kyle asked curiously, now feeling uneasy about this whole situation. Why was Locasta speaking of Oz in past-tense? What was going on?
"Kyle." Came the voice of Megan, making Kyle and Locasta stop walking. "Kyle, are you okay? Kyle."
"I'm afraid that's all the time we have for now. Go. Your friend is calling you." Locasta said.
"Will i ever see you again?" Kyle asked.
"Oz is only a dream away." Locasta said.
