Ichigo understandably reacted to being told that she was a Queen by Weller in a predictable fashion. Her first instinct was to laugh since this was obviously a joke of some kind. But upon seeing no smile on his very serious face, she realized that he was being totally honest with her.

So, she didn't laugh despite her disbelief.

Instead, she pointed to herself and then looked around to check and see if anyone else was around. If so, then she hoped to God that they had the same name as her.

But upon the disappointing discovery that no one else present, she then looked back at the man with a confused expression on her face and took a deep breath. Nodded her head and muttered, "Okay then."

And then she walked away so that she could think.

It probably wasn't what Weller was expecting from her after dumping something heavy like a royal title on her. But at the moment she didn't really care. She needed to think and the best way to do that was to remove herself from the present situation.

However, she didn't get very far before a familiar couple of people appeared from around the corner of the building, led by her dad.

"Ichigo!" He called out jovially with a wide, happy grin as he approached her. Absently taking note of her startled expression with some amusement.

"We heard that you were getting a love confession, so we came to cheer the brave guy on." Renji said with a smile before realizing that something was wrong.

He pushed past her dad and ran up to her and took hold of her arms and drew her close to his body and held her, while he looked back and forth from her to the man standing several feet away looking at him as if he wanted nothing more than to rip him apart. as the others finally seemed to realize that something was up, and everyone moved to crowd around her.

All of them asking/demanding what was wrong.

Isshin would be the first to admit that eavesdropping on his eldest baby wasn't exactly the way to earn brownie points from Ichigo. But he hadn't been able to quite help himself in this instance. He had simply let his curiosity get the better of him again.

Just like all those times he'd used a glass to try and hear conversations through Ichigo's bedroom door. But this was different. His precious daughter was finally retired as a Substitute Soul Reaper now. She was to no longer be dragged into any mischief going on in Soul Society unless it absolutely couldn't be helped.

Her friends were a bunch of troublemakers after all.

So, he'd give their promise not to drag her into anything a month at best before they were dragging her into other things.

Even so- the young man speaking to his daughter wasn't a Soul Reaper. He could tell by his energy. Just like he wasn't a Quincy, Vizard, or Espada. And despite hearing the conversation between his eldest child and the young man had been speaking about, for the life of him he couldn't seem to place the man's energy at all. It was simply something that he had never felt before.

So, when the man had mentioned being from another world, Isshin's head had snapped back on his spine painfully. It was like being punched in the face by Aizen while in God mode. After that he had stopped trying to place the man's energy and simply listened to what was being said carefully.

The moment that the young man had told Ichigo that she was his Queen, Isshin had nearly fallen from where he was precariously perched above the two. It had taken everything in him just not to drop like a stone from the shock.

But soon after that, he'd realized that what he had just heard was a certain kind of devastating to him. Especially since his daughter had just come home from the war such a short time ago to settle into human life.

And now...

Someone from another world was trying to whisk his baby away from him again. And this time there may be absolutely nothing that he could do for her.

He wasn't a man who was angered easily. Just like he wasn't someone who typically hated others or held grudges. But if the young man was right and Ichigo was the Queen of a kingdom in another world...then he was pretty sure that he was going to absolutely loath someone for this. And he wasn't the only one.

Her sisters were going to throw one hell of a fit just as bad as all of her friends were.

After all, his baby was a very beloved person among the people of Soul Society as well as the human world. Watching Ichigo's friends beginning to panic a bit because his daughter wasn't responding to them and their questions and sighed. After that he walked up to the man that had dropped this nasty bomb on his daughter and simply said, "I think we should talk, young man."

The young man looked at him with a small frown before saying in a cold but somewhat curious tone, "Oh? I'm sorry but who are you and what business of this is yours?" While studying him.

Isshin merely gave the youngster a smile that was much too sharp to be really friendly and introduced himself to him. "Isshin Kurosaki, you're...Queen's father. Pleased to meet you, Mister?"

Conrad's eyes widened as soon as the man told him who he was and he was quick to apologize, embarrassed by how rudely he'd just spoken to his Queen's sire. But the man simply laughed his apology off as he quickly introduced himself in a much friendlier manner.

"Forgive me sir, I'm Conrart Weller. But my friends call me Conrad." He said as he held his hand out to him for a handshake. Though after how rudely he had acted mere moments ago, he didn't exactly expect Isshin to take his hand.

Isshin said as he took his hand and shook it. "I see. That's a nice, strong name."

"Uh, yes. It is." Conrad said awkwardly, uncertain of what could be going on in Isshin's mind at the moment as he hedged, "You said that we need to talk?"

"Yes, but not now. Later this evening, Ichigo and I will come to your place and all of us will sit down and talk a while. I think she would find this a lot less daunting if she had enough information about you and your kingdom to make an informed decision. Not to mention I need similar information if you're going to be taking my precious eldest daughter from me."

Conrad nodded his head in understanding. "Of course. Would the two of you like to have dinner with my friends and me? I've been told that I cook very well. And you can ask whatever questions you feel you need to ask. We'll answer them to the best of our ability and get to know you a bit."

"That sounds fair," Isshin said easily, "It also gives me a while to snap Ichigo out of her current funk and make her functionable again before there's some sort of riot."

Conrad blinked and looked startled, "A riot, sir?"

"Yep. My girl's friends are a rough and rowdy bunch, but they love her almost to distraction. So, if she doesn't snap out of it soon, the whole lot of them will probably riot-"

The words had barely left Isshin's lips when someone shouted.

"This upset Ichigo!"

Which was followed by another shout of, "Quick! Burn it all down!"

Causing both Conrad and Isshin to blanch and visibly bristle as the young idiots tried to tear the building within reach of them, down with their bare hands. Leaving the two men had to move quickly to stop the school from being destroyed by Ichigo's idiotic friends before any lasting damage could be done to it.

After which, Conrad asked. "Isshin is six, okay? To drop by and eat dinner with us?"

Isshin merely grinned as he stomped at a particularly stubborn friend of his daughter's. "Six is fine."

"Is there anything in particular that her highness or you may want?"

"We aren't picky eaters, son. We'd eat whatever you had even if it was rolled in dirt."

Conrad reacted to that with a little bleh of disgust because he'd actually eaten food rolled in dirt before, and asked, "So...whatever is fine?"

"Whatever is fine." Isshin assured him before Conrad bowed to him and then took his leave to go and grab the others and swing by the grocery store to grab some fresh ingredients for what he might want to cook.

Conrad found Yozak and Gunter over by something that was flaming and sighed. How the hell had they set something on fire at what looked like a water game? Maybe I should have put those two on a leash and kept them with me after all. He thought in annoyance as he stood just behind them and watched the pair try desperately to put the small flames out but failed.

And then he reached out and grabbed both men by the back of their shirts and then dragging them off before they accidently made things worse.

"I hope the both of you had fun." He said, not bothering to comment about the small fire at a water game because he was sure that whatever the two said would make his head hurt. And he really didn't want a headache since he needed time to prepare for their Queen and her sire's visit later.

"Yeah, we had a blast..." Yozak joked despite his disgruntled appearance telling Conrad otherwise.

"I just don't understand what happened!" Gunter cried into his hands. "All we did was try to play the game!"

Conrad hummed thoughtfully before stepping outside of the school gates and then finally releasing his hold on them. "I'm sure that you did. And while the two of you were causing trouble, I found her highness and even had the chance to speak to her."

Gunter stopped crying into his hands and dropped his arms back to his side and gaped at him for a second before then lunging at him and wrapping his arms around Conrad's torso and asking a few questions. "Oh, our magnificent majesty! She's lovely, isn't she? And kind? Does she have a melodious voice? I bet she smelled like flowers too. Oh, tell me she smells like flowers!"

Conrad pasted on a patient smile and gently patted Gunter on the shoulder, hoping that he would let him go.

"She is both lovely and kind."

"Why do I sense a 'but' in there somewhere?" Yozak asked as he gave him a knowing look.

"Her highness is very aware of the world and the people in it. And because of that, she knows that we aren't exactly human. She also knows that we've been watching her and demanded explanations about both of those things."

"Seriously? She knows?" Yozak asked in disbelief.

"Yes."

"But how?" Gunter asked in a bewildered tone as he released his hold on Conrad and got back to his feet. "She shouldn't be able to tell us apart from other humans."

Yozak had a thoughtful look on his face as he went over various things in his mind before finally asking, "Do you think that it may be possible that it's her power as our Queen? I mean, maybe that's how she knows."

"Perhaps. I suppose that that could be true." Conrad replied easily. "I know that she certainly took me by surprise by simply mentioning that we weren't exactly human. Though she was shockingly calm about it."

"She was calm?" Gunter echoed.

"She was very calm. Almost as if meeting people from another world is something that happens often."

"I see," Yozak finally said with a smile. "If that's the case, then can we assume that you also told her that she was our Queen?"

"Yes. She didn't exactly take the news well...but her father seems to take it well."

"What?!"

"Her father was there?"

"He said that we needed to speak. So, I've invited them both over for dinner at six tonight." Conrad said matter-of-factly as he started walking. "And since that's happening then we should swing by the store and pick up fresh ingredients so that I can make our dinner."

"What are you thinking of making?" Yozak asked, already wondering if he was going to end up making a food run later. Not that he minded much if he was sent on a food run later. The food of Earth was amazing compared to some of the foods back home.

"I was thinking something with seafood, but I should have some different options just in case."

"Don't forget to get some wine as well." Gunter suggested excitedly. "We can't serve her highness just anything. It must only be the best."

Conrad's lips quirked a bit upward in amusement. He didn't have the heart to tell Gunter that their Queen wasn't yet of age to drink alcohol, they could get her something else. Though he wasn't entirely sure what the choices were right that moment. He may have to use his cell phone to do some internet searches to find something.

Either way, he intended to outdo himself. Everything would be perfect right down to the flowers that he was going to hand his Queen in greeting.

Ichigo didn't remember what happened after her talk with Weller, in fact she barely recalled even getting herself home. And yet...that was exactly where she was when she finally shook off her funk. Her head ached as if someone had hit her upside it with a steel pipe and her stomach was in anxious knots as she glanced around her bedroom in an effort to find her clock and check the time.

It was nearly five thirty p.m. Which meant that she'd been stuck in her head for hours. That's not good. Especially since she had no idea what was going on now.

"Ichigo!" She heard her dad call from outside her bedroom as he walked by her door saying loudly enough for her to hear him. "I know that you're up now. You need to get ready for dinner. We're eating out tonight!"

She frowned at the door but didn't budge an inch. Instead, she laid back down and glared venomously at the ceiling as if it had done her wrong.

She jumped a little bit when the door to her room suddenly swung open and her dad popped his head in and narrowed his eyes at her still lying on her bed and gritted out in slight annoyance.

"Get. Up. Now."

"My head hurts." She muttered darkly.

"I don't care. Get up and put on something nice."

"I don't want too." She said sullenly.

"Again, I don't care. We're expected at six sharp. Either get up and get ready or I'll carry you out of here, over my shoulder, kicking and screaming."

"Why does all of the weird shit always happen to me?" Ichigo asked, feeling just a bit outraged by her current situation. Being named a Queen of all things. Ha! It was so shocking that it was laughable.

What the hell was wrong with people?

There was nothing special enough about her to warrant ruling a country or something. She could barely lead her friends in a Call of Duty raid before they all died. So, how the hell was she supposed to lead an entire country without the place burning down within half a day?

"Because you hang out with weird people," Her dad quipped as he stepped into the bedroom and walked over to her closet and opened it to see what she had to dress in. Surprisingly- to him anyway- there was only a few pairs of shirts, pants, and a couple of coats hanging up in there. "Honey, I don't want to nit-pick, but don't you own any dresses? Skirts? Silk blouses?" He looked at her over his shoulder for a second and then muttered weakly, "Glitter?"

"I do not."

"Ah. Well, we're overdue for an unfortunately long shopping trip at the local mall then, aren't we?" Her dad sighed, letting both his head and shoulders drop a bit and then closed her closet door so that he could turn to look at her.

"I don't want to be a Queen. I wouldn't even know how to rule someone much less a lot of them."

Isshin studied his daughter for a second or so and then smiled. "And yet you already do. Don't you? Rule other's that is."

"Huh?" Ichigo said incredulously as she glowered at him.

Her dad just...grinned at her before saying. "I think you would know how to do it. You're work as a Soul Reaper has practically taught you what you need to know about how. And think of all the freaking minions you would have ready to do whatever you wanted."

She pushed herself up again and gave her dad a look of disbelief. "You are liking this just a bit too much, aren't you?"

"Me?" Isshin rumbled a laugh, "Yuzu is making posters about her cool older sister who's a Queen!"

"Say what?!"

"Now let's find you a dress!" Isshin said jovially as he took a moment to think before coming up with an idea. "You know, I think I kept some clothing that belonged to your mother. And you are about the same size and build..."

"Dad. No!" She gritted out as she swung her legs over the side of the bed and started to get up to stop him. But was too late.

"I'll be right back." Isshin shouted as he hightailed it out of her room as if his pants were on fire.
