Man strange coincidence that right after I released that chapter with a teaser for a Christmas special I end up seeing Red One. A Christmas Action movie. What are the odds?

So yeah something I forgot to ask about last chapter, can anyone tell me how to make that eldritch looking font.

To that guest reviewer. I actually believe I'm familiar with the mod your talking about, I'm pretty sure Al Chestbreach covered it, and I downloaded it myself. I agree he would fit in real well, and I'm already thinking of how to include him. He would be really helpful when we end up going against Green Eyes, as I will call him to avoid spoilers. In case if I'm not clear I was talking about the shadowy figure Striker was talking to at the end of Chapter 5.

Edit: So I am a fan of Josh Scorcher on youtube, and he's been making a series called 5 great villain songs. The most recent one vol III gave me inspiration for a new scene.

Anyway, time to get started on the events of season one.

Disclaimer: I do not own Fallout, or Hazbin Hotel, or Murder Drones.

Chapter 7: New Divide

Hazbin Hotel

Dante was sitting in his room holding a guitar pendent.

Typical Dante, Always cracking jokes in the face of danger, but I still remember the scared boy who was brought to me at gunpoint after his family burned.

Chevy's words yesterday kept coming back to him.

Especially because of the Dream he had last night.

Vault 18 26 years ago

18 year old Dante was heading back to his room after a long day. First he got his leg broken while trying to play vaultball like an idiot and ending with him just playing around with the programming of the vault computers and ending up gaining the attention of someone scary.

He got back to his room, to find out his siblings didn't even go. They weren't aware he broke his leg.

Mandy felt the most bad and actually taught him to play guitar and fixed his leg.

He went on his computer and found access new a new website, Wastedgirls. Chatted with someone named Oriansgirl101, although her real name was Annai, made the website to talk with fellow sciency people. Was intersted about Vault 18.

Afterwards Dante went to bed... then everything exploded. He woke to find everything burning, Mandy and Shawn both dead. He picked up Mandy's guitar pendant and guitar, and let out a scream of grief.

Present day

This pendant as well as his favorite guitar were found in a cave with all his old things from California, he always felt they were imporant, now he knew why. Plus there was the other thing Chevy said.

I will make you pay, you and Annai Oran

This Annai Oran, must have been Annai. Someone from his past.

He had completed his job, found someone for the hotel, so he could Call Blitz for that offer to get him home.

But people from his past are down here. He could finally find answers.

Plus there was another reason curled in his lap. Daisy. He was responsible for her. It would take some time to get permission to bring her with him.

He'll think about all that later, Daisy was waking up and they should go downstairs and see that new commercial Alastor made yesterday.

Later

Dante was speechless.

"WHAT THE FUCK WAS THAT?!" shouted Vaggie mirroring Dante's thoughts on the commercial, even though he was covering Daisy's ears at her language.

"Language dear there is a child present," Alastor lectured.

Vaggie got red in the face at being lectured on her language by Alastor.

"Yeah, one note Alastor," said Charlie, "Appreciate the effort, but the commercial is a bit ummm..."

"Bad," said Vaggie, "The word you're looking for is bad."

"I was going for hilarious," said Alastor.

After some Arguments going around, with Angel getting involved only toning down his usual innuendos while the kid was present.

Charlie stepped away to answer a call for her father and came back saying she was to meet with the leader of the exterminators, then she started singing all the way out the door.

Vaggie decided to start filming a new commercial.

After several failures Vaggie stormed off. Daisy seemed nervous so Dante decided to start strumming his guitar to help her feel better.

Randall chuckled nostalgically hearing the sound of the guitar. He remembered him playing that in between bounties. James and Bradley decided to listen in as well enjoying the tune.

At some point Alastor and Vaggie showed up.

"So Alastor and I made a deal," said Vaggie, "He'll help as long as he never has to deal with tv again."

"And Dante, my dangerous brutal fellow," said Alastor, "I was thinking a good commercial needs music, so I was wondering if you had any guitar songs you'd like to play."

"Well," said Dante, "There is one I've come up with."

He got his guitar ready as Daisy looked all wide eyed in interest, "I think it helps get a message across, I call this one, the war still rages within."

He started strumming a melody.

"Looking down the cars on the highway. A stream of tail lights," Dante sang, as Alastor enjoyed the melancholic tone.

"Everybody advancing together, do so willingly sacrifice rights," Dante Sang as Alastor smiled wider as he realized what Dante met by getting the message across.

"When people accept they're cogs in the system, give up free will, conform." Angel came by and decided to bob his head to the music.

"Individual pieces of dust swirl together, Become a full storm."

Even Nifty was paying attention at this point.

"Looking down the burgeoning city. The skyscrapers rise. Even men with the greatest intentions Start believing their own lies."

Husk had even popped over along with Khan.

"We can borrow from the future, But eventually someone's got to pay. The only way out of the cycle Is to strike out and pave your own way!"

Lizzie and Thad came over and sat down. Lizzie was off her phone for once.

"Yeah! Yeah! Yeah! Yeah!"

Even Vaggie was getting into the song at this point.

"We all fight our own fight. Will you fuel the desire to win? Always struggling with the truth Of the life, that might have been.

"But no matter, how jagged your path is You'll always come back to the road. When the dust of the battle settles, The war still rages within!"

"Yeah!"

Dante finished with a few more strums.

"Now that's a good track for the commercial," said Alastor.

"If you'll excuse me," said Dante, "I'd like to go outside and get clear my head, a lot happened yesterday and the dream I had last night gave me a lot to think about."

He went outside and Daisy followed him.

"Damn," said Randall, "Must have had another one of those dreams."

"What do you mean?" Vaggie asked.

"You know about his Amnesia right?" Randall asked as Vaggie nodded, "Well occasionally he has dreams about his missing memories."

"And on our way here yesterday we ran into someone from his missing past," Bradley added.

Vaggie gasped.

"Yeah that'll put a lot on his mind," said Randall.

"Hey Pickles you gonna help at all?" Vaggie asked the dog laying in the corner.

"I have more important things to do than help with the commercial," said Pickles, "Such as lying around and licking my scrotum."

Angel could not help but laugh at that.

Everyone look at him at that, "What?" Angel asked, "You have to admit it's funny to hear that coming from and Eldritch."

Vaggie snickered as she realized that was indeed funny as much as she hated to admit it.

Meanwhile in Pentagram City

Dante was smoking a cigarette while walking through the city.

Suddenly he was approached by a familiar person.

"Hey Dante, how's it going fuckhead?" Said Verosika smiling. She was accompanied by someone he didn't recognize yet he seemed familiar somehow.

"How have you been Verosika?" Dante asked.

"Oh I'm good, I was chatting at a bar, when I mentioned you and this guy Diesel recognized your name and said he knew you," Verosika explained gesturing to her companion.

"I also go by John Anderson," said the figure to Verosika before turning to Dante, "Is that really you Dante?"

"I'm sorry I don't recognize you," said Dante sadly, "I took a shot to the head so I don't remember anything past 6 years ago."

"I see," said Diesel sadly, "But you are definitely much older than when I last saw you so that means you survived the destruction of Vault 18."

"Destruction of Vault 18?" Dante asked thinking that sounded bad.

Diesel had a shadow cost over his eyes, "A bunch of Enclave members had managed to infiltrate the Vault, let by the Braddock siblings John and Chevy," he explained, "They were playing the long game, with John secretly recruiting people he felt showed promise from his vaultball team."

"But then," Diesel said dramatically, "Something complicated their plans."

"What happened?" Dante asked.

"You happened," said Diesel causing Dante to raise a brow quizically, "While doing technical maintenance on the vault mainframe you managed to accidentally hack into the Enclave signal which caused the Braddocks to have to accelerate their plans."

"Well damn," said Dante, "Was I really that much of a tech wiz even back then?"

Diesel nodded, "John Gathered his patriots," he said suddenly looking ashamed, "Myself included," and began his coup, dragging out many of the dwellers and blowing the generator room which was right above your room, you were the only one who came out of that alive."

Dante's eyes widened as he remembered his dream from last night.

"Luckily for you, while you didn't have the physical capabilities John was looking for, he was actually impressed by your hacking skills, so he recruited you at gun point."

"You came to me with your concerns and I agreed so we got away and met up with the Campbells," Diesel added as Dante nodded.

"We teamed up with them and the loyal members of UC Security against the Braddocks and their 'Patriots,' and eventually went to secure the Vault Overseer," said Diesel beginning to hesitate.

"I'm guessing this is about whatever Vault 18's experiment was," said Dante causing Diesel's eyes to widen before nodding.

"Yeah, and Vault 18's was apparently one of the more fucked up ones. Apparently they knew that a majority of the Vaults were Psychological experiments, and tempted them with a self destruct button, to see how long it would take for them to crack and put the vault out of its misery," Diesel explained.

"That's fucked up, I'm guessing the overseer hit that button," said Dante.

Diesel nodded, "Yeah but it was more so to prevent the Enclave from getting their hands on it's resources, and according to you, he then shot himself."

"Damn," said Dante.

"We all rushed to escape the vault while UC security, fought off the Enclave to buy us time. You, me, the Campbells, Kurtz, Johnny, Jen, and Earnest, all ran. I know for sure I certainly didn't make it," Diesel explained.

"I'm not sure about Earnest, but the rest of the people you mentioned definitely made it out," said Dante causing Diesel to look up confused before Dante elaborated, "I actually reunited with them after my amnesia as well as Kira."

"Kira found a way out too?" Diesel asked sounding relieved.

"Yeah so Diesel, I'm actually helping out at the Princess's hotel, perhaps you'd like to give redemption a try," said Dante.

"You're telling me you actually believe that redemption is possible," said a voice, "I thought better of you Courier Six."

"What do you want?" Dante asked as he turned to face the voice, "Balthazar."

Sure enough the voice came from the hooded form of Balthazar.

"I'm here because I respect you enough that I don't want you to be blindsided," Balthazar explained.

"Blindsided by what exactly?" Dante asked his eye narrowing in suspicion.

"Right now the leader of the exorcist army Adam is meeting with the princess," Balthazar explained, "And Adam intends to announce to her that date for the next extermination will be bumped up from 1 year, to 6 months."

Dante clenched his fists in anger as Verosika and Diesel's eyes widened in horror.

"You didn't even bother to think about what I said last time did you?" Dante accused Balthazar.

"I didn't see the point," said Balthazar dismissively, "Justice must be done."

"What justice?" Dante asked.

"Excuse me?" Balthazar asked with warning in his tone.

Dante wasn't sure what it was, whether it was hell having some weird affect on him, or all that tim ehis spent with Charlie, but he suddenly burst into song.

(Won't be the exact lyrics, but for atmosphere sake, you could play Death Note the musical: Where is the Justice)

"Where is the Justice when Angels can do as they please?" Dante sang pointing at Balthazar, "You slaughter everyone from elderly to infancy."

"I see a fresh sinner's anger burning in your eye," Balthazar sang.

"What you see is my impatience with your self righteous comprimise," Dante Sang while bring his hand up and clenching his fist.

He started dancing in the streets, "Show me what's right about the wrongs that you allow," he said gesturing to everywhere showing the damage from the destruction is still visible, "Real people need to feel protected here and now," he started walking while gesturing to all the sinners.

"This whole damn system's broken way beyon repair it's just law not law and order not much good and seldom fair," Dante sang while stomping his foot at the end.

"Law's are made for everyone we are treated all the same," Balthazar sung.

"Till Adam's ego can fix the blame," Dante sang having heard things about Adam and other things, "What about the victims, waiting for some justice," he sang clenching his fist with tears in his eye, "How can we turn away and say that's just the way things are," he sang while having anger in his eye with tears still coming out of it.

"What about the families, hiding in their houses?" Dante sang while gesturing to the buildings where you could glimpse some people hiding from Balthazar who noticed they were looking at him like he was the demon here, "Afraid to walk the streets at night with all the doors locked tight, tell me where is the justice," said Dante as he turned around with a shadow over his face, "If there's any justice."

"Your simple arguments have all been made before," sang Balthazar sounding annoyed, "This world is black and white, the choice is either/or," he sang making a swiping motion with his arm.

"Perhaps you need a better look at it all," sang Dante point at Balthazar, "Because you don't know the difference between black and white or wrong and right at all," he sang making a swiping motion with his arm.

"Overwrought announcements won't improve the paradigm," Balthazar sang with his arms spread.

"Yet Exorcists sparing sinners is a crime," Dante sang back, "Let the Seraphim, make the regulations, yet hold no one accountable when everything goes wrong," Dante Sang approaching Balthazar, "Let the Self Righteous, get away with murder," Dante sang, "Adam makes a bunch of talk and you all get to walk tell me where is the justice," he got in Balthazar's face, "IF THERE'S ANY JUSTICE!"

At this point everyone in the street was joining in the musical number, "Where's the justice, Tell me where," sang the street people.

"Where is the Justice?" Dante sang joining up with the street people.

"Tell me where?" the street people sang.

"For all the victims?" Dante Sang.

"Tell me where?" the street people sang while dancing and Dante, and even Verosika and Diesel along with them.

"What good is law that won't punish those who break it?" Dante sang.

"The High Seraphim makes her speeches all day long," Verosika sang joining in, "While St. Peter pushing pencils mostly gets it wrong."

"Instead of loopholes for the victims to fall between," Diesel sang, "Let some good old fashioned payback grease the wheels of the machine."

"Isn't everybody sick to death of all this stuff?" Dante sang gesturing at the street people, "Isn't time we stand up and say enough!" he sang facing Balthazar.

"Justice," everyone chanted, "Justice, justice."

"What about the families, hiding in their houses?" Dante sang again but lounder this time, while gesturing to the buildings where you could glimpse some people hiding from Balthazar who noticed they were looking at him like he was the demon here, "Afraid to walk the streets at night with all the doors locked tight, tell me where is the justice," sang Dante with a lot more feeling now.

"Where is the justice?" everyone echoed.

"We owe them some Justice!" Dante sang.

"Where is the justice," everyone sang.

Dante then pulled out his Carmine gun that resembled a ranger sequia and pointed it at Balthazar, "Where is the justice?!" Dante sanging drawing out each word and then finishing by firing at Balthazar who vanished in a flash of light.

(End Song)

"So..." Dante said, "Now that things are no longer tense, I need to ask, does that sort of thing happen often?"

"Every damn day," Diesel said.

Later at the hotel

Dante walked with Diesel when he crossed paths with Charlie who looked much less cheery than she did when she left. "Hey Diesel why don't you introduce yourself to everyone while I talk to Charlie," Dante said to Diesel who nodded and walked in.

Dante went over to Charlie, "Let me guess, extermination day is happening in 6 monthes instead of a year."

Charlie's eyes widened, "How did you-" she began.

"Balthazar paid me another visit," Dante said, "Claimed he didn't want me to be blindsided."

"I just don't know how I'm going to break it to everyone, is it my fault?" she asked.

"No from what Balthazar told me this was planned from the beginning," Dante said before slightly shifting topics.

"So I found a way back home a while ago," Dante said causing Charlie to look up, "I waited a while because I still had to look for a guest for your hotel as I don't like leaving jobs unfinished," Charlie looked down as she thought Dante was sing goodbye, "I also don't like leaving my friends behind when they need help, so going home will have to wait longer," Dante finished as Charlie perked up and jumped at Dante and gave him a big hug while squealing.

"Charlie..." Dante gasped, "mortal... air..."

Charlie sheepishly let go of Dante and they went inside but before she could Vaggie revealed the commercial was redone and wanted to show Charlie, but then the announcement happened.

"We are royally fucked!" shouted Katie Kiljoy on the tv.

Elsewhere

Balthazar walked into a room where Adam and Lute where waiting, clutching his left eye which was bleeding.

"Yo B-man," said Adam, "We found that missing HOLY SHIT WHAT HAPPENED TO YOU?!"

Balthazar doesn't answer and looks at the screen and sees the dead exorcist, "Was it Courier Six?" he asked.

"As convenient of an explaination as that would be," Adam said, "Our sources say he didn't appear in hell until after extermination day."

Balthazar clenched his fist, that meant that shot in his eye was a fluke, luckily he got out before anyone saw him bleed.

And finally done.

Funny thing only half of the reason for the long wait was procrastination, the other half was trying to come up with lyrics for that musical number lol.

So funny thing, that bit with Alastor lecturing Vaggie about her language was just added last minute because with Alastor's moral code this would be in character, plus it was just too funny to pass up.

Fun fact originally after that musical number there was gonna be a fight scene with Balthazar, but then it occurred to me he wouldn't want to get into a fight for fear of drawing the inquisition's attention.

By the way, prayers out to Wes Johnson.
