With those words the primordial goddess once again changed the vision she was showing them so that everyone inside the Olympic Council room would see a man wearing a red helmet, a jacket over a kind of tactical suit that had the silhouette of a red bat painted on its chest.
But then the vision changed as everyone listened
"This ends tonight."
Viewers saw the man dressed in a dark suit resembling a bat say those words while standing in the middle of an alley under a rainy night while several meters in front of him was the man with the red helmet and brown jacket, only this time he did not have the symbol of a red bat painted on his chest
"This ends tonight."
Everyone heard the same words again, but this time they sounded somewhat electronic while now the head of a robot, android or a person in technological armor was shown, which caused Hephaestus and his children to again have some fascination, amazement and curiosity about it, as well as several others
"This ends tonight."
And the same words were heard again, but this time they were spoken by a black-haired boy who looked to be 17 years old, with blue eyes
"No one knows better than me"
The image came back with the one with the helmet and jacket but lacked the red bat symbol on the chest that was in the same alley in the rain with the man in the black dress resembling a bat
"A revived" Hades commented when he noticed that the soul of the man with the red helmet was the same as that of the 17-year-old boy and the guy with the technological armor
"A Revived?" asked his wife, seeing him and his daughters, who nodded, but watched their father having noticed that he did not like someone to return to the world of the living, but he did not say anything since he did not know the circumstances and it was another world.
There was also the fact that the lord of the Underworld noticed that whatever revived the man on screen was something supernatural in one image and in the other something that lacked it, so it was different worlds and different versions of the mortal they were seeing (Note 1)
"Watch me as you die, Batman"
"It's the same man, but in at least two different worlds," Hades' words echoed in the council room to his surprise so he turned his head to see the primordial goddess for a brief moment, but his words helped the others better understand what they were seeing and what was happening, but also causing questions to several, the main one being how the man on the screen managed to revive.
"Watch me as you die, Batman"
The electronic voice was heard again as the screen now showed more of the voice owner's body, stopping at chest level, where everyone could see that perhaps it was not a robot, but a person wearing some kind of advanced and technological suit or armor
Nemesis was the one who could feel a desire for revenge coming from the man on screen, as well as a strong desire to dispense justice, but not like most mortals today believe justice to be, but the kind that is achieved by shedding blood and feeling that made her smile. Meanwhile the god of the forge, his sons, as well as others looked again with fascination at the technological armor.
"Right, Bruce?"
The voice distorted by the modern technology of the armor was heard again, but only at the beginning because the helmet of the armor was opened so that the face of its wearer could be seen, being a man who seemed to be around 25 years old and had peculiar green eyes, who by the facial features was the boy of before but older (Note 2)
"You haven't lost your touch...!"
Onlookers heard the man scream as the vision changed and saw him on a motorcycle at a train station wearing the brown jacket from before, two seconds before a train passed blocking the sight, as well as his voice with the noise caused by the train
"Nice to meet you, bro"
The image changed again to show the boy from before, but wearing a kind of dark-colored klevar suit with a cape, although the torso part was dark reddish, with an R engraved on the chest and he was also greeting another black-haired male a few years older who was with his back to the screen
"I'm Jason"
All the spectators heard another young voice like that of a young teenager before hearing that of a man, not the voice of this Batman, but that of a young man perhaps of someone who was in his early twenties
"My name is Jason Todd"
"Different worlds?" it was Ares who asked the primordial goddess when the god of war and everyone else could hear at least a dozen very similar voices say the same thing, while on the screen the blue-eyed teen boy was shown in different places, with different people, varying his age from 15 years old to 25 years old, just as his clothing changed from common clothes to the suit with the R and the cape, the same happened with the jeans and the jacket, along with various differences, although mostly subtle with the red helmet.
But very few also noticed that Ares' voice seemed like two in reality, as was the case with Hermes who looked for a moment at his half-brother while thinking "Was that Mars?" but the vast majority were more confused by the calm and somewhat respectful attitude of the warmongering god
Moreover Hades realized, as did those related in some way to death that most of the alternate versions of the human they were seeing had the touch of death on them, and most who apparently should be dead were the ones with green eyes.
"Various counterparts," was the answer given by the primordial of fate, but that answer attracted more questions about why the time lord's wife showed several versions of the same mortal, at least from those who were more open-minded and did not yet realize what that was, although Ares and Mars were already getting a sense that it was
"I'm Robin, the boy wonder"
This time they heard a younger, happier voice, as if the boy was about 12 years old, but the image changed again to show the 17-year-old boy in the kevlar suit with the R on his chest and a mask
"Jason, I can help you!"
The image changed again when everyone heard Batman as they watched him struggle with the aforementioned boy who must now be a man while holding a gun in his hand, plus he was now wearing a kind of tactical suit and a red helmet that looked technological
"Please... I can help you"
Everyone present at Olympus saw Batman again only that he had his face uncovered and they saw that he was an attractive man with blue eyes who seemed to be in his early 40s, although perhaps he had more if he kept in excellent physical shape, but the image that Ananke showed them changed again to the struggle of Jason and Batman
"There's no way to help me!"
"Don't you dare lie to me!"
"I trusted you, and you only left me to die!"
The image changed several times to show various counterparts of the man known as Jason Todd, being furious with Batman, with several of those versions pointing a gun at the bat, but the words spoken brought some confusion to viewers for a moment before the image changed back to what was the moment of his death
"You let him murder me!"

"For God's sake!"

The McLeans, who had awakened from unconsciousness thanks to Emily Zhang's help, looked away from the screen while Emily kept her son from looking when she was shown various versions of the man they saw earlier with his face abnormally pale or painted like a clown, wearing a purple suit by hitting with a metal crowbar his respective version of the blue-eyed boy who looked like he was 17 years old in most counterparts, and each was tied up as he was beaten to death or half dead while the green-haired man let out a laugh that sent shivers of fear down mortals' spine, demigods, legacies, Amazons, huntresses, and some of the lesser gods, but many of them would never admit to being frightened by a mere human
"Tell me how it feels"
To the momentary fortune of those with a weaker stomach, the image changed again to show one of the versions of the man in the red helmet and brown jacket having the man who hit him tied up on the ground while he held a metal crowbar preparing to hit him as he hit him
But now many understood better what was happening and many found the actions of the man known as Jason justified
"Revenge... and justice," Nemesis commented with a smile, approving of the actions of the mortal who is beginning to attract his interest
"The Joker came to you! I know what it feels like!"
"Don't pretend you understand!"
"I have become a better Batman than you"
The image changed again to show various versions of Todd fighting Batman while an argument between the two was heard, but some believed and were sure that the phrases heard were from different versions because they seemed to be said by several similar voices
Batman was also shown without the suit as the owner of a company called Wayne Industries, showing him in a large office of a company, in laboratories or advanced factories giving a tour, being interviewed by the press, several headquarters worldwide of his company were shown and then seen with the bat suit fighting criminals, individuals with powers, supernatural beings and many more.
Viewers on Olympus also saw brief moments of him misledging suspicions about being Batman when they saw a version of him in front of his damaged mansion with a team of reporters, while on the roof you could see the vigilante bat and you could see some criminals unconscious and detained on the ground.
"A rich man being a superhero," Apollo commented in an incredulous voice, as did several of the Greek half-bloods, since it seemed to them something taken from a movie, a television series or a comic book
"Considering the technology he has... he would need the money for it... unless he steals it" Hermes commented that as the god of thieves he imagined that the technology seen in Batman's company or the technology he uses as a vigilante must be worth a lot of money, while others like Hephaestus were more interested in the kind of technology seen and a few others wondered the difference between their worlds because other things seen looked more advanced than there is in their world in human society
Then the image shown by Ananke changed again to show various counterparts of Jason as a child growing up on the streets, in the slums of some city, stealing to eat and survive, having a drug-addicted mother, a thieving father and more difficulties.
Seeing the difficulties in the boy's life made some identify as Thalía Grace remembering her alcoholic mother, as well as other Greek mestizos who had abusive parents or who took it out on them because they did not want children and did not see the fact of having the child of a god or a goddess as a blessing or something similar, but as a burden; as well as others that their mortal families had some problems to survive.
There were also those like the hunters or Amazons who, upon seeing the type of life that Todd had, would in no way see him as someone who would become a trustworthy man, but quite the opposite
But then the image a few more times to show Todd as a preteen or a young teenager stealing the tires of a strange and advanced vehicle before being surprised by Batman, after that he was seen being trained by him, who adopted him, so Jason ended up living in a mansion and having a better life than anyone in his situation would ever expect
"Did he adopt him?"
"Did he train him because he was able to steal his tires?"
"Did he take him as an protégé despite the robbery?"
Those and other exclamations were given by several members of the public, in addition to seeing the life that the man known as Batman gave to young Todd made the opinion about the mortal dressed as a vigilante with a bat-inspired suit favorable, as was the case with the Hestia and Rhea divisions, but also doubt and concern arose about whether Jason Todd was under his care how he ended up being killed by that man with green hair and face painted like a clown
But the image changed again to show a version of Jason half dead from the blows while what sounded like a beep could be heard that attracted his attention, a beep that some like Hephaestus or his children recognized "¿A stopwatch?"
BOOM!
The sound of an explosion startled everyone as they did not expect it, almost causing cardiac arrest or a death scare to the youngest or inexperienced half-bloods and mortals in the council room
"Good God..." Tristan McLean said while he had a hand on his chest trying to calm his altered heart, and his daughter was no better, but Emily Zhang tried to calm her as well as her own son, so the actor with Native American roots wondered how the woman could be so calm
"Do you want to know the real difference between you and me?"
Again the image changed to show Jason in the dark reddish kevlar suit with a cape and with an R on his chest, he must have been close to 18 years old and was talking to another young man who appeared to be about five years older
"I know who I am"
As soon as those words were spoken, the vision shown by Ananke was divided into more than a dozen to show various moments of various versions of Jason Todd who demonstrated great hand-to-hand combat skills or the use of various modern and ancient weapons, versions ranging from the age of 16 to over 25 years old, fighting gangs, drug dealers, gangsters, rapists, pimps, mercenaries, hitmen, individuals with powers and many more.
But Todd proved to be quite brutal, swift, and would hit his opponents hard with precise and equally brutal blows, breaking their necks, as well as their arms, legs, back, jaw, teeth, head, and many more parts of the body if he didn't kill them, because he left his opponents in such a way that they probably wished he had killed them, because recovering from such wounds would take months with the medical treatment of humans and they would hardly recover from them until they managed to recover half of their previous capacity. Many would probably need a cane, walker or wheelchair to get around, others would be bedridden for the rest of their lives.
"AIKIDO, Capoera, Karate, Kickboxing, Krav Maga, Jiu Jitsu, Sawte, Silat, Muay Hoi, Taekwondo..."
The clear voice of the god of war took many in the council room by surprise for a moment as he mentioned the styles of hand-to-hand combat that he could recognize in the different visions, but it seemed to everyone that the god spoke with two voices at once, which it did, because it was Mars and not Ares who recognized martial styles, being a god more disciplined and martial than his Greek aspect, being more connected to the armed forces of the current world than Ares who was more connected to the barbarism of combat than that which existed in the armies of the past and even still endures, but who lack the military discipline that there is today in true soldiers.
But from the Greco-Romans, whether they were gods or not, they could see how pleased the god of war sounded to see such an individual with incredible combat skills, as well as the smile on the god's face during the visions that the primordial goddess showed to everyone. In addition, the gods were incredulous that both personalities of the god were coexisting instead of fighting for control.
"Fire in the hole!"
BOOM!
But the joy and respect of the god of war for such a combatant, survivor and warrior increased the more visions were shown of the adult versions of Jason Todd wearing some version of the suit with the red helmet, where he did not limit himself to hand-to-hand combat, he used short blades and largar, a kind of metal knuckle guards that seemed pointed in the gloves he wears, various firearms such as machine guns, rifles, grenade launchers, rocket launchers, incendiary or smoke grenades, although the main thing he used was a pair of pistols.
"I am what this city needs"
"I'm cleaning up Gotham!"
"I thought there were no mortals like that anymore," commented the goddess Enyo
"It's not easy to find them," Nike said to the other goddess
Although the joy of Ares and Mars was not exactly shared by many of the other fishermen, only a few like Nemesis, Nike, Enyo or Lupa shared their opinion, which were the ones who saw a single man wage a war against crime in a brutal and efficient way.
The rest were incredulous at the skill the mortal proved to have, with only a few like Mars, Chiron, and even Athena realizing that Todd was not only skilled at fighting he was also tactical, cunning, and strategic when fighting.
But for others all they saw was a human madman waging a crusade on his own, a murderous madman, an incredibly skilled dangerous man, and other opinions. There were also those who found it hard to believe that there was a mortal with the skill and ability that the primordial goddess displayed.
"More than you have done!"
"You can't stop crime!"
However, there was someone who seemed to be in a trance while looking at the screen, a 12-year-old black-haired boy, but the boy's mother noticed it.
"Percy?" Sally's voice made her son react who seemed to be somewhat lost as he watched the vision that the primordial goddess of destiny showed to everyone present in the Council room
"Eh... What?" was what the 12-year-old boy said while shaking his head a little trying to push away the confusion he felt
"That's what you never understood..."
"… I'm controlling it"
"Percy, are you okay?" asked Sally with concern because her son was somewhat confused as the vision of Jason Todd continued
"Yes, Mom, I'm fine," Percy said, but his mother didn't believe him and the look on his face showed it
"Percy? The mortal with clear vision asked her son again, while everyone else continued to watch what was happening on the screen, where Todd killed criminal after criminal or left them in such a way that they could never hurt anyone else again
"You want to rule them out of fear."
"But what do you do with ones who are not afraid?"
"..." but Poseidon's 12-year-old son didn't know how to explain what he saw, to see himself or at least that's what the green-eyed boy thought he saw during the moment when he seemed to be in some kind of trance and during which he wasn't looking at the screen but as if he himself were somewhere else
He thought he saw himself in a fight at school, like the ones he has had on some occasions when boys his age or a little older bother him and do not stop, but unlike all the past times, he won with great ease against them, plus he also saw and felt that he was in a camp with several teenagers who wore an orange t-shirt like some of the other boys in the place, and Percy could swear that whatever he had just seen, some of the faces matched them.
The young Jackson also saw and felt that he was painting black what looked like a shiny bronze-colored Greek breastplate, what looked like metal shin guards, arm guards that ran from the wrist to the elbow. Then he looked and felt like he was fighting a monster that resembled the ones in the movies or Greek myths that he now knows are not myths, monsters like the minotaur, a hydra, a very fat cyclops, abnormally large black dogs with strange eyes that wanted to attack him. (Note 3)
Percy also saw one of those abnormally large dogs, but it was much larger than the others, and the other difference was that it was licking his entire face as if it were a domestic dog, but the vision he had did not end there, it changed to show him that other beings larger than humans were throwing large flaming steel balls at him and many more beings.
"I'm doing what you won't do, I'm taking them out"
But each of them, with the exception of the dog that was the size of a tank, he killed them with a sword, knives or shield blows, all of the same shiny bronze color, in addition to using pistols to shoot at the monsters, as well as a few swords that appeared to be covered in fire from his perspective, which he used to kill what appeared to be giants.
However, the 12-year-old teenager was not the only one who saw or felt something strange, the king of the underworld was another since at times his gaze left the screen to discreetly look at where his children were, who were still quite confused and afraid, but as he made his gaze go towards them, his eyes also passed where the son of Poseidon was so for a moment it seemed to him that he saw the same soul of the man on the screen who was fighting and killing criminals right where the son of the king of Atlantis was.
"But what?" The king of the underworld thought with surprise, it was as if the boy's soul had changed for a moment which should not be possible, but now he did not see that resemblance in the souls. The soul of Poseidon's son seemed to have returned to normal so the eldest of the three great ones looked at the primordial goddess who turned her head to see him for a moment.
"Back off, Robin!"
"Don't call me that. It's not who I am"
The visions of the goddess of destiny continued to show all the various moments of Todd cleansing society of the infection that is in it when a new voice of a different man was heard although the owner of it was not shown, instead they were also shown various versions of Todd fighting Batman
"Crime thrives thanks to the great indulgence of society"
However, those words and voice caused chills to several half-bloods, hunters, Amazons and even some gods who get away with it.
Another one who felt something strange was the god of war, in both facets and personalities, because they could feel the death, the fighting, the combat, the blood spilled by the mortal on the screen that was impressing them, but for a moment the god could feel that same among the half-bloods, so he looked in the direction where that feeling seemed to come from, exactly where there was a space next to a brown, blue-eyed woman, a space that seemed empty
"But what was that?" both Mars and Ares thought, as the sensation had disappeared, the feeling of a warrior in the place, so their eyes also went to the primordial goddess of fate, only to find that she was looking at them.
But she was not the only one who looked at the god of war, Poseidon, Rhodes, Hades and Oceanus also realized that Ares had looked where Poseidon's son was, which made them wonder if he was able to feel the boy, although from what some of them could also feel they wondered if it was because of something else.
"Do I look like Batman?"
The various visions of Todd became one as he was shown holding a criminal at gunpoint as he asked him that question in a somewhat mocking tone
The goddess Hecate was another who felt and saw something similar, being the goddess of necromancy she could see the same soul as Hades in the same place as the god of war for a moment, but as goddess of magic she could feel some unknown power in that place, a power that made her hair stand on end, as it felt dangerous to her, and trying to understand it the best description she could give was as if it were something mystical capable of damaging the magical and the divine (Note 4)
"What was that?" thought the goddess, trying to understand what she had just felt for a brief moment
"It's not too late... We can fix this"
Other Batman counterparts were shown trying to reason with their respective versions of Jason Todd
"Together"
"Let me help you"

"You had your chance"
But each version Jason refused the help offered before Ananke showed that he continued to do justice in his own way before the eyes of all the spectators in the council room

Ananke continues to show everyone on Olympus that there are ways in which some individuals protect the world in the ways least accepted by modern society, showing them counterparts of a human who died and revived only to continue fighting
Future individuals to watch: John Wick, Hawkeye, Batman, Superman, Black Widow, etc.
